I’ve had quite a few people ask me if I think Wolves are the best Championship team in history.
The 2006 Reading side will have something to say about that as their 106 point haul will remain a record even if Wolves win their final two matches.
However, Nuno’s side can surpass their 31 victories if they beat Sheffield Wednesday and Sunderland, which would certainly beef up their claim.
The other team I would throw in is the Leicester side of 2014 that managed 102 points, 31 wins and went on to win the Premier League with many of the same players. Tough to argue with that.
What I would say is I don’t think any side have won the Championship playing the style of football Wolves have consistently demonstrated, which may over time single them out as the best.
As the trophy is hoisted high tomorrow though, I doubt anyone inside Molineux will care.
Sheff Weds
It’s been a disappointing season for the Owls. They’ve been close to the Premier League themselves in recent years so to be finishing closer to the bottom three than the top six must be considered failure.
Carlos Carvalhal has shown at Swansea that he’s a talented coach, but I don’t think that necessarily means it was a mistake to move him on. Sometimes a club just needs to freshen things up and it did seem like it had stalled for him at Hillsborough after twice coming close to promotion.
I believe they’ve had big injury problems too, which can derail any season. Perhaps next year Jos Luhukay can coax better form out of the group with a clean bill of health?
Fernando Forestieri has been one of the big losses but he’s back now and scored twice in their routine home win over Reading last time out.
They’re certainly not lacking Championship know-how with the likes of Rhodes, Boyd, Reach and Bannan all well established at this level.
Wolves
Diogo Jota could still win the golden boot. He’s on 17 and needs at least three goals to level with Matej Vydra with just two games left. A tall order but not beyond his capabilities.

I imagine Danny Batth will see out the season now, but he was clearly targeted by Bolton last weekend. He’s shown excellent character when in and out of the side, but I think he might be one moving on over the summer.
With nothing to play for outside of reaching a century of points perhaps the likes of Vinagre, Mir or even Ofosu-Ayeh should get a run out?
Predictions
I think Wednesday have the players to hurt us and the reverse fixture was one of the tougher games, but if Wolves play well, they’ll come out on top.
Victory would guarantee Wolves finish with the best home record in the league. They’re currently on 52 points from 22 games, but Cardiff are just a point back. It doesn’t matter of course, but we’re clutching at straws for something to play for here.
Anyway – 2-0.
Up The Wolves!
* Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone from the blog who sent me good wishes and/or sponsored me for the London Marathon. You amazing people raised over £550 (of the £2.3k total) for WhizzKidz, which is unbelievable. I’ve posted a thank you on my fundraising page. I’m blown away by your support.

Hopefully we’ll stick with a decent line-up and do enough to get the win that would set up lifting the trophy nicely.
We are playing for 100 points total and the players for Premier contracts so a lot to go for. Wednesday have little to play for. The season was over for them a while ago so I expect a comfortable win.
Nothing but contracts for Sheffield to play for but this is wolves season and Nuno will want his last home game of the season to be an exhibition.
No way will we lose this one.
SIMPLY THE BEST !!
Don’t think Nuno is going to allow any kind of drop in intensity.
Benik Afobe has two games left to decide his future.
In my book he’s probably already done enough to warrant a full time contract but I know many will disagree and possibly young Mr Espirito Santo may be one of them.
A couple of goals in the last two matches won’t harm his prospects.
I agree with you Thomas that Danny Batth may well be moving on this Summer and would like to put on record my gratitude for his sterling service to the club over many years.
I can’t wait to welcome the conquering heroes tomorrow and stand in the Steve Bull holding my flag as part of the ‘We’re back’ tableau.
It will be nice to think that when I’m long gone and the Wolves have just won their tenth successive Champions League trophy, that I was part of the start of it all.
I must remember to hold the flag properly. Wouldn’t want to go down in history as ‘the turnip who brandished his pole the wrong way round’.
Luckily, the nice people at Wolves have given me a diagram so I don’t get it wrong.
This weekend will be a double celebration for me – it’s two years ago today that I was declared clear of throat cancer.
See you tomorrow and I might just buy a few of you a celebratory drink.
Hi DooGooder, we have obviously never met and know little about each other other than we suffer the same football related addiction. I make an effort to keep updated on all blog contributions, but there are several contributors whose efforts i particularly enjoy reading and you are certainly in that group. Your postings are always positive, respectful and thought provoking.
So, anyway before this turns into a dating site i just wanted to acknowledge the significance of today’s anniversary. I can’t make this weekend’s game anyway but I hope it’s ok that I toast your anniversary from afar this evening with a pleasant glass of vin rouge. These events really get life into some sort of perspective and maybe appreciate what a gift each added day is.
Your continued health Mr DooGooder and the shared memories of a simply amazing season.
Thanks Jackomac. Your thoughts are really appreciated.
You can certainly toast my anniversary anywhere and in any way you want mate.
I think there will be a good few thousand glasses being raised tomorrow after we lift the Championship Trophy and mine will certainly be one of them.
Cheers and good health to all bloggers!
Looking forward to meeting up again tomorrow Doogie. Brilliant reading about your two year anniversary. Couldn’t happen to a nicer bloke. I know that when I say it almost brought a lump to my throat you will appreciate the huge smile on my face as I say it! 😉
Cheers Bedford!
Funnily enough I made the same comment to the PMDG’er this morning and it took me a while to see why she was laughing.
I really hope that your lovely lady is in good fettle too!
You always were strong mate, so did not doubt you would get through it. Looking forward to our get together. Are you travelling up tonight, I am travelling down. If you are and are free, let me know and I will pop in to APV. If not, see you tomorrow.
Thanks Steve.
Yep, we’re travelling after work and booked in for a fish supper at APV around 8pm.
A lot depends on the traffic though, because it’s a bitch on Fridays.
Congratulations Mark on your milestone mate … 2 years ago ..crikey how time flies. … I can recall how you were, leading up to seeing the specialist and the tests that followed .. and that mask that you pulled out on us… scary yes … but it was all to your benefit.
Well done … such a gentleman.
Love from Lilian and Mike…. .xx
Thanks Mike & Lilian.
It seems like a lifetime ago now, but that mask is still under the stairs and when I don’t think I’m getting enough sympathy from Sue I pull it out and remind her of how horrible it was.
(And the mask).
I agree with Croydon Nuno won’t let them slacken. I foresee a comfortable win and 100+ points. A great atmosphere and the championship celebrations. Can’t wait till tomorrow – season tickets already purchased for the Premier league!
End of season fayre.
Plenty of open play to entertain the masses
Oh how I wish I was at the Mol tomorrow! Sad realisation is that, being a long distance supporter, getting a home or away ticket to watch them next season is highly unlikely. I had to revert to sitting with the Reading fans and that was painful.
Anyhow, on to our last home game and being presented with the trophy for winning what is the most difficult league to win in the whole world! We have done that and in some style.
Now we must finish our last home game with the same dedication, commitment and play that we, and the whole footballing world, have witnessed in what has been a truly outstanding and memorable season.
A win it is then and it would be nice if Jota could get a hatrick! 🙂
Onwards to the promised land………
Better put my prediction in then………
Last home game of the season and the trophy handed over to the best team the Championship has seen in terms of style of play, skill, passion and togetherness.
We will win this because the team have the desire and skill to do so, it may not be easy at the start but the result will be clear.
One more game and then we start preparations for August. We trust Nuno, Jorge and Fosun to target those we need and keep all the ones we want especially Neves. Add the quality we need around him, and have a real go next season.
I for one cant wait. World Cup who cares (unless we actually win it) bring on 2018-19
This will be our last ever Championship game (well at least in my lifetime) and our last ever promotion. Just think of that. Brilliant!
Looking forward to the game immensely – and the pre and post match celebrations/drinks/meal etc!
Mrs BW is accompanying me for only the 2nd time this season – mind you last time was when we beat Bolton 5-1 and her only other game this season was when we watched her beloved Arsenal beat Huddersfield 5-0 so am hoping she is a lucky mascot.
Can’t wait for next season – and what a squad we’ll have. Apparently we are signing Vincent Aboubakhar, Mario Balotelli, Andrea Pinamonti, Jack Wilshire, Pele, Bakary Sako, James Maddison, Gary Cahill, David Luiz, Aleksander Mitrovic, Jack Grealish, Jack Rodwell, Ryan Bertrand, James Ward-Prowse, Eliaquim Mangala, Andrea Silva, Rafa Silva, Bernardo Silva, Long John Silva, every player who currently plays for Benfica, Porto, Sporting Lisbon, Braga and Rio Ave, anyone who has ever played for us and is still playing, anyone who has ever played against us and is still playing, anyone who has ever uttered the words ‘Jorge Mendes’, Bobby Charlton, Bobby Davro, Bobby Crush, Bobby Dazzler……………well that’s what I read anyway!
OODCL
Cool calm and confident win..re Afobe he should only get better and I obviously feel he should stay…
I’m fascinated that Fosun are making waves again through
Dalrymple saying they will make s statement by purchasing
More players so Afobe might become obsolete or a bench warmer..
I predicted £100M let’s see if I’m right..
Anyway I’m still getting used to this life changing experience
Quite extraordinary..
If Spurs are going to spend £120M , we better be up around that amount if we want to catch everybody.
Of course, with Nuno, the miracle worker, we can probably do it with less.
3-0.
Enjoy the day tomorrow boys and girls I will be in sunny algarve well I hope it’s sunny
I will watch the results go in on sky in the bar
Home win for me tomorrow would like bonnitini to get on score sheet
Enjoy???

With away wins at Fulham (early season admittedly) and Villa and a draw at Cardiff not to mention 2 wins in their last 3 away games, the Owls shouldn’t be underestimated, and I’m sure Nuno will have the lads focussed for this one. Can’t see anything but another 3 points, tho’ we’ll probably have to scrap for them.
I think we’ll play lovely free flowing football in the last two games, with the opponents knowing they’re doomed from the start, just trying not to look too outplayed by our much more talented players.
Our forwards will be wanting to score a few each before the season is over so they will probably take the brakes off and score four or more, but I’ll stick with the popular 3-0.
Looking forward to seeing the trophy being lifted tomorrow after having the owls stuffed! Or is it the other way around? Jota Costa boly with the goals
Final game of the season for me, and ‘can’t wait’ doesn’t even come close. I’m hoping to get to the midlands in time to join the planned welcome of the team coach at the Mol. Unless it’s raining, of course, when I’ll probably go to the pub.
I think we’ll see a ‘feast of football’, with our heroes providing all the meat and spicy sauce, and Wednesday providing a few chips and soggy salad. The post-match presentation will be a moment to savour too, and no team or manager will have deserved it more. They have been truly sensational all season long. I certainly wouldn’t want the job of picking who stay’s and who goes. But rumour has it that ample funds are available to enable NES to keep our juggernaut steaming ahead.
See some of you for the traditional post-match get-together. Enjoy this day to remember.
I am popping in to the Clarenden tomorrow at 1.30 to collect my ticket for the Sunderland game. I know you have a tipple there so I may see you. If not I will be in the Novotel or the Italian so will see you somewhere.
I am knocking off in about 20 minutes to travel down to Wolverhampton, hoping to be there around 7.30 to 8.00 pm so if anyone is around and fancies a pre drinks drink I am free lol.
Was hoping to get to The Mol around 1.30 for the welcome to the team bus pre-match. But if I’m running late, or it’s peeing down, or Waterloo Road is like sardines in a can, then it could well be the Clarendon for me.
Either way, I’ll see you in the evening buddy.
First off, Happy Anniversary, Doogle.
Seems like only yesterday you were whining about not being able to taste the wonderful flavors of beer, and wine, and anything really!
So no excuses, you gotta stand your round in Sunderland next week.
Tomorrow’s game is going to be another exhibition training session, liquid football at it’s finest.
I will not get into the “he must go he must stay” debate, although I gotta say, watching Afobe’s goal over and over at Bolton, he did take it extremely well.
I think Nuno’s first season in charge has gone reasonably well, and he should decide on next season’s playing staff.
This is the weekend the shit go down, and have probably played their last ever season in the Prem!
Looking forward to seeing y’all in a week’s time.
FOfwb
Cheers Clive.
I’ll certainly buy you a half of ‘Old Fartbuster’ or whatever the local brew is next week, but I’ll leave the spirits, at £80 a bottle in the Executive Suite, ’til it’s your round.
As everyone seems to be going for the 3-0 win, I will venture a 4-0 win. I can’t see the lads slacking. mainly as it will be a bit of an anticlimax to lose the match then lift the trophy. So much better to win 4-0 and celebrate (and score me 3 points in the world famous Wolves prediction league).
Another win please boys…COYW…KING OF CLUBS
It’ll be a good signing off tomorrow; maybe Nuno will put a couple or so suprises in the 18. Neither side has anything to play for and no-one around either team can be disadvantaged if 1st 11’s weren’t all there.
That said, whoever Nuno puts on the field of play, those other players will all be there to celebrate the lifting of the cup at full time.
What a great season it has been.
Well done Doog see you and Sue tomorrow at the APV, travelling up tomorrow morning look forward to seeing all at the ltalian tomorrow night.l think Nunno still has a lot to play for so l think we will be on top form plus the atmosphere will be brilliant.
Wolves Aye We
Glad you could make it mate.
Does that mean your mum’s a bit better?
Hi Doog, she is making progress i have managed to get some private care to stay with her Saturday night and Sunday until we get back.
She is pleased we are going and put her thumb up when l told her we have won the league.
See you tmrw.
Sadly, I’m now going to miss only my 3rd game home or away all season tomorrow, and it’s only the flipping game when they lift the trophy and Jota slips into the Golden boot slot with a juicy hat trick
I’m dawwwn Sourff in Landan doing a bit of this and that innit.
Ah well, being a good Scot, they are paying me handsomely so that will be my season ticket for free next season (already purchased) Jen de Wolf’s got paid yesterday from my last teaching jaunt daawn Landan.
Back to the game, enjoy it, all you out of towners, I appreciate the fact you guys and girls can’t make all games, but you a travel stupid amounts of miles when you attend and in my book, your’e all true Old Gold & Black through & through.
There can only be one outcome, Wolves 5-0 Sheff Wed.
Jota to bag his first hat trick for Wolves and edge to Golden boot status.
.notts Forest to be investigated by the EFL for playing Feckin, “Ugly Football” and have their points deducted, so we then get the three points that they stole from us. That way we are topping 107 points and taking another record.
What a season.
Doog,
Happy C-Free day mate, well done, anyone that feeds mice chocolate in the kitchen is a good egg in my book. Here’s to another 40 years C-Free,
I know you don’t like the Scots, but,
“Lang mae yer Lum Reek”. (Long Life)
🙂 :-: 🙂
Cheers Stu!
I can’t believe you’re missing tomorrow for any amount of dosh.
We nearly couldn’t come because my old mum was rushed to hospital with a suspected broken leg and super-high blood pressure.
That was a couple of days ago. She’s back home now as if nothing has happened!
Not bad for 93.
As for my ‘Lum’ – it’s reeked for years.
What a shame mate. Will see you in Sunderland though.
You need to put your tickets up for sale on wolves fc tickets buy/sell site as people are offering around £200 for one .
My Grandson is having my seat, he’s going with Jenny.
I couldn’t do that mate, ripping genuine fans off, we get too much of that from all around.
I know mate. I was surprised they were allowed as admin for that site is usually good in stopping that sort of thing.
I am always suspicious of anyone who looks like the keyboard player out of 70’s pop stars SPARKS. The Sheffield Wednesday manager certainly has an uncanny resemblance. Who knows. It may be him. The slick back hair. The ‘Hitler’ moustache. ‘This town ain’t big enough for the both of us’. Will certainly apply to The Owls. There is only one team in our town. And it is not yours. And I would certainly warn any child in a park who sees someone like the Owls gaffer coming towards them to immediately run off. Maybe a bit harsh but you never know do you? On to tomorrow. The SPARKS will certainly be flying as the Owls are devoured by the Wolf pack. Carnival atmosphere. NUNO conducting the SB. No brainer really. Diogo. BENIK et al do the business in a routine 2-0.After the game Nuno said ‘I was certainly surprised to see that the Sheffield Wednesday manager looks like the keyboards player out of SPARKS. It doesn’t bother me. They were fucking shit anyway. I want 104 points and a selfie in front of The Man on The oss. Next game Sunderland. I thank the fans’. The Owls manager said ‘I am fucking sick of people saying I am the keyboards player out of SPARKS. Fuck off’.
Coronation ceremony tomorrow. The champs will be crowned in style!
Go Wolves!!
Not much to say or do now apart from hail the conquoring heroes in the morrow.
The season seems to be ending in a rush now, thankfully without any frantic last minute stuff the like Colin, villa, fulham etc still have to endure and Nuno and the boys can stroll toward 100 + points and glory with us fans in tow making our usual racket.
I reckon I’m gonna need surgery to get this stupid grin off me mush…Wolves to win– as per usual.
UTAH
After the elation of becoming Champions, is anyone else now feeling just a little deflated?
A bit like, following the best shag of your life, lying there wondering just how long you should wait before getting up.
We’re a Premiership side now, I just want to get on with it, not faffing around with the likes of Sheffield Wednesday and Sunderland.
I also can’t understand anyone looking forward to the Baggies being relegated. Now, I hate the buggers as much as anyone, but I used to love those midweek derbies under lights. And, unless Villa scrape through in the play-offs, we won’t have a local derby next season.
Arsenal seem to be making way for us to be Top Six . . . . bring it on!!!!!
This time next year I fully expect to be as deflated and looking forward to welcoming Barcelona . . . now THAT would be back to where we really belong!!!!
Well done in the London Marathon, Thomas. This season feels like a marathon of a different kind for a Wolves supporter. It’s never-ending and we just want to get on with being a PL team. Still, we have targets to reach this season and by that I mean 100 points plus. I forecast a comfortable 2-0 tomorrow, no casualties, and maybe a goal each for Afobe and Costa.
Tomorrow is earmarked as celebration time… I’ll drink to that.
In fact I shall be celebrating the following..
Promotion, most number of wins, most number of clean sheets, highest goals scored, DOOG’s anniversary, Brompton buying a round, meeting my mates and fellow bloggers, seeing us beat Sheff Wed, having a good loff at the Italian, thinking of the Premier league, avin a loff with Cheeseburger, …. the list is endless…
That’s 10 large glasses of red then….
Tomorrow is going to be manyana day and a right old mullering of them from SouthYorkshire….
And then onto the real celebrations ..
Look forward to seeing you all..
This has been a wonderful season and I don’t want it to end. I have been going down the molineux since the early 70s and have never seen anything like the football we have seen this season. Just hope we can continue next season. Wolves 3-0
I normally right a few words about the opposition and possible team selection but….SOD IT WE ARE CHAMPIONS WE GOT THE TROPHY TOMORROW NOTHING IS GOING TO STOP US!!!!!
Wolves v Sheffield Wednesday, last home game of the season brings back memories of the last time this occurred – 07/05/2016. Sue and I had been going to games for years, staying over and meeting a few other Wolves fans. This particular weekend we had booked in to The APV. I seem to remember that a group of Wednesday fans walked around the back but didn’t stay ? Anyway, we checked in and I said to Sue “let’s have a drink in the bar as I think there are other Wolves fans in there”. We got a drink and went outside and for the first time ever we met THE BLOGGERS ! I think it was Brompton who asked if we were on the blog and I thought wtf is “the blog”. I think you guys all had a meal at night but due to me and Sue being a little worse for wear, we had an early night but met up at breakfast. We had a conversation as to why I supported Wolves but I am not going to say on here that it was because I was a fat kid because Brompton gets bored. Fast forward two years to tomorrow. What a difference, Wednesday at the time had made the play offs and we were in our usual mid table obscurity. How the tide has turned. In those two years we have met some fantastic people thanks to “the blog” – wtf is that again ? Looking forward to catching up with loads of you this weekend and also really looking forward to meeting some bloggers that we have not met before. Nuno won’t let the boys slack – they will be in The Novotel folks – he will want to end the home campaign with a bang. What a season and what a rollercoaster ride. Our team are now Premier League and so are you bloggers. One last word, so pleased for you Mark on your two year anniversary, haven’t met up with you loads – we are in your box at Sunderland though – but really enjoy the company of you and Sue. And finally the score, seeing as a certain lovely lady will be there we are going for Wolves to score FIVE – no pressure Julie. Love The Wolves, love this blog and love the lady who has shared this fantastic journey with me – Sue. See you tomorrow.
I am in Wolverhampton now – at my brother’s. See you tomorrow mate.
Wolves 3 Sheffield Wednesday 0
Another resounding victory as this wonderful season draws to a close. Shame really I wanted it to go on all summer..
Mini bus from Bedford tomorrow – Merry Boys booked for 11.30!!
As a teetotaller naturally no alcohol for me but I can’t vouch for the others..
BOG
Teetotaller….. You Michael … funniest comment I’ve read in ages … hope to see you later ..
What a wonderful season it’s been. Hopefully a home win.
Hope you all have a great day tomorrow celebrating our magnificent season.
The only thing Wednesday have to play for is pride but hopefully the boys will be out to give a footballing demonstration of how the game should be played.
Wolves 3-0
Finish the last homie game of the season in style
A comfortable clean sheet I predict. With the pressure off and playing free flowing football a Jota hat trick would be great to see.
Hopefully I get t see the trophy presentation on some sort of video coverage.
Could Wendesday spoil the party on Saturday ? That is the question, big call for me today so I’m going 3-0, no 4-0 or maybe 3-1, think I need a message from above, thank you dog 2-0 it is then. Buster the dog barked twice, thats good enough for me.
See you guys later, lets party !!!
Put your scores in the boxes Barry….
Cheers Twix, that could have been a disaster. See you later.
Gutted that I couldn’t get a ticket for today but I can’t see Nuno accepting a below par performance from the lads.
Doog, congratulations and I can’t think of a better way for you to celebrate than seeing Wolves lift the trophy. You’re a star!
Thomas well done for completing the marathon. That’s a major achievement in anybody’s book.
COYW
Great to hear your news Doog, I’m very pleased for you and yours. Congratulations to you Thomas for your marathon – even when I was young and fit I could never have taken on anything, like that. The nearest I’ve ever got to the LM is having a friend who did several while playing his clarinet as he ran.
I know SW have at times caused difficulties for us, but this season is all about the new era and a good number of historic stumbling blocks have been consigned to the outer darkness. So am looking forward to a decent win. Enjoy the party everyone. COYW
Cheers Jazzer!
The party starts now!
Just about to set off from sunny (just about) Merthyr Tydfil. First stop Novotel, but I now see Brompton won’t be there.
It’s going to be a glorious day in Wolverhampton, irrespective of the weather. A relatively easy win for the boys and the Championship trophy. Sweet.
PS: Happy anniversary DOOGooder for yesterday.
I am here now. In Wolverhampton. What time you getting to Novotel.
Thanks Dougie.
See you later.
Will be a goal fest to celebrate our magnificent season, could be a Clive but going to be better than that.
Congrats to Thomas
It’s been fantastic reading all those joyful and happy comments above. Have an upvote, everyone!
It’s gonna be a historical day today, one of the many to come.
As for the prediction league – the title is out of reach, so I’m doing a final push for the play off places. It’s been fun boys and ghouls, I’m gonna win it next season!
Get the party started!
Comfortable win before the party starts. Jota hat trick to put him in contention for the Golden Boot.
Well
Sorted at APV
Will get wet today but who cares?
Looking forward to pre and post match drinks plus Italian gig..to seeing the Molineux roof come off when the trophy is handed over.. and finally getting to meet and celebrate with so many fellow bloggers
UTW
The future is bright, the future is…..

I’m in Lisbon this weekend
I love Portugal and all things Portuguese especially Diogo, Ruben , Helder, Ivan ,
COYW
Not a lot to say that hasn’t already been said.
Party time, just hope Wednesday do not become party poopers, but can’t see that happening if Nuno has anything to do with it.
Congrats to the Doog for keeping free of the dreaded C and to thomas for completing the marathon. Also to Fulham for doing a bit more to upset Colin Wanker.
Absolutely love watching this team
Just about to leave for church, then realized I hadn’t posted on the predictions…
So here it is.
All fellow bloggers, enjoy the last ever game in the Chump and seeing the crowning glory of a magnificent season, thanks to all as usual from Geo to the ball-persons.
Fucking Wolves Ay We
Colin Wankers reaction when he heard the result of Fulhams match…
Sorry chaps. Party in George Wallis, Plough n Harrow beer flowing etc. Liquidator, Hi Ho Silver Lining Once upon a time there was a tavern. Etc etc. Perhaps see you all first match in prem. Name a pub and see for a few beers about 11am! Hope you have a great evening. Party party party! Well done everyone on this blog. Great bunch of folks. Savour the moment. It is only gonna get better. Adios and back to me beer.
To everyone attending the game – could I ask for a favour ? I’d love to own the match programme, would pay via paypal for one + all post expenses to a London address. Pretty please.
Feel free to reply here, or directly to club.pertu at gmaildotcom
Thanks!
Hi mate
I have got some spare if you still need one, drop me an email if you do.
ian.wing3@ntlworld.com
Thank you tons, Newark!
Sending you email in a sec.
Top stuff!!!
All bloggers going to the game: watch out for Forestieri. Not just because he is the sort of skilful player who could even get into our squad but because, alongside his talent, he has form for cheating in the most shameless way.
Do you remember how he got Bakary sent off by diving to the floor on the ref’s blind side when there was absolutely nil contact.? I was sitting right in line with where it happened and was speechless when the red card went up. I believe that was before retrospective punishment for diving. It was against Watford. We drew and might well have won but for this disgraceful behaviour.
As I said, he’s a good player…but I wouldn’t want him at Molineux.
Hope you give him the welcome he deserves. Bakary was, in my view, far too magnanimous about the incident.
Come on you Wolves. Finish off in style!
Just watched highlights of Wolves/ S.W. how the hell didn’t we score?
What a great day with great people. Thanks Bedders for organising the evening, great meal, great atmosphere. Who is organising the next one ….. come on, you have a full season to sort it lol.
See a lot of you in Sunderland next Saturday.
Saturday Evening Pre Match Day at SUNDERLAND 05 May.
We’re planning to meet at the following restaurant which is 3 mins (by car) from the Hilton Garden Inn at say 6:00pm to 6:15.pm.
For those not able to get transport, there are plenty of cars going up so that should be ok too.
It’s ….
ITALIAN KITCHEN / THE MILL,
Thompson Rd,
SUNDERLAND SR5 2 SQ.
As there are appox 30 of us heading up there, yes with tickets, it would be great to all meet up again for one last hurrah.
Could those interested … either email me on oldfield23@btinternet.com or text me asap on 07794293257 to avoid disappointment.
Thanks.
Thanks Mike. I will go straight to the hotel and book in. If iI don’t see anyone at the hotel I will be at the restaurant at the time suggested.
Well done Twix,
If we all agree to go to the Italian Kitchen, they have a special on for Saturdays, a three course meal for £14 a head before 7pm.
There are two Olde pubs 200 metres walking distance from the Hilton Graden Inn for after the meal, where we can leave all the cars at the hotel and have a last tipple at proper prices.
It’s going to be a very strange game at Sunderland to say the least. Their Chairman has just resigned, just before he did, they sacked Chris Coleman and his oppo. The fans are calling for a total boycott. Does anyone know if Jiz Moxey has joined them without anyone’s knowledge.
No fans.
No manager.
No Chairman.
No tickets.
No Problem…….
I wil be predicting a home win now then
