After Wolves went 3-1 down to Rotherham back in December, having just lost back-to-back games against MK Dons and Peterborough, I really did get that ‘here we go again’ feeling.

But I needn’t have worried.
The fightback in that game that saw Wolves claim a valuable point was to be a sign of things to come.
Soon after Kenny made those wholesale changes to personnel and system, which completely changed the complexion of the team.
As a result, tomorrow will be a carnival atmosphere with the primary objective already achieved with four fixtures left to complete.
The small matter of the League One title however, still needs taking care of.
Rotherham
Had Wolves stuttered in the home straight, Rotherham would have taken full advantage.
A fantastic run of form that’s seen the Millers lose just once in 18 matches propelled them to the cusp of the automatic places.
But a deflating late surrender at Bramall Lane last week, coupled with two more dropped points at home to Bradford looks to have curtailed their top two aspirations.
They come into this game eight points behind Brentford with manager Steve Evans already talking about play-off preparation.
So impressed was Kenny Jackett with Rotherham’s display earlier in the season he went out and pinched one of their best performers in Nouha Dicko.
But as good as the striker has been, Rotherham have carried on scoring and winning without him. In fact only Leyton Orient (78) can better their goals scored record (77), although Wolves aren’t far behind (76).
Top scorer Kieran Agard has 19 goals so far, but like Wolves, they’re a team that have shared the goals around with the likes of Frecklington, Revell and Pringle all getting their names on the scoresheet regularly.
Their away record has been fantastic (13 wins, 4 draws, 4 defeats) and is only bettered by their opponents tomorrow who have a single point more.
Wolves
With nearly a full week to rest up after last Saturday’s promotion-clinching victory, there’s no reason for rotation.

James Henry and Jack Price would probably be the most likely candidates to return to the side, but with Sako fit again and the manager glowing in his praise for Lee Evans last weekend, the same XI is likely.
Injuries have been kind to Wolves this season and you wonder whether that’s down to luck, changes to approach or even just how the current players look after themselves? Whatever the reason, long may it continue.
The odds
Wolves are favourites for the win at 5/6. The draw is 12/5 and a Rotherham victory is 10/3.
Nouha Dicko is probably a good bet to bag the opener given the curse of the former player. He’s 4/1 to do so. Kieran Agard is a good insurance bet at 15/2.
The gaffer
Predictions
Well done to everybody who predicted the win last weekend. It was practically everyone.
I fancy Wolves to overcome the jovial nature of the occasion and win this one tomorrow. It’s a full-house and the players will hopefully thrive on that.
3-1
Up The Wolves

I see an open game here which with us on the break with our passing game should give us some space..
3-1 to Wolves in front of 29000 fans..
3-0 win to the mighty Wanderers.
Sadly won’t be there to witness it as I’m off to sunny Bude for Easter.
Never happier than today, anticipation levels off the richter scale, I was in the Molineux the night we beat Leeds and stopped them winning the league in front of 51,000+ (no true figures because I was one of hundreds who climbed over the South Bank wall when the gates were locked).
But tomorrow excites me more, I think Preston will beat Brentford and we will win and take the title tomorrow in front of the expected 30,000.
1-0 Wolves for me.
Happy Days.
I knew I’d seen you somewhere before!
I was on the South Bank too, that night.
But I was a good boy. I paid my 3s 6d to get in!
Doogooder,
I did not get the opportunity to pay me 3s 6p I was locked out. I remember you too, you ran off with my wife and programme, i was gutted, that’s the only programme in the set I’m missing:-)
You can have it back now, I’ve finished with it.
But I’ll hang on to the programme if that’s OK.
Oh! They don’t write them like that anymore.
Wolves 1 – 0 Rotherham for me please
2-0 to the Wolves, really looking forward to this one, the game and the big crowd atmosphere.
COME ON ME BABIES
I’ve been keeping quiet recently _ not wishing to jinx anything !!! However I’ve read every word with extreme joy and relishing every point accrued .
That said , unfortunately I must work tomorrow , but will be at Orient on Monday …a good result tomorrow means I may witness the Champion party !!
So many fans , such a feelgood factor , I can’t see us losing the plot here …the players want those medals as champions more than anything else ..so
Wolves 2 Rotherham 0
Ps , can I please add my profound thanks to Thomas and Ben for this blog , said by many before I know …but a crucial part of my life XXX
Lambs to the slaughter ! Wolves 3 – 0 Rotherham
‘Nuff said………
🙂
With the title within our grasp, in front of a mega crowd, there can only be one result :- Wolves 3 Rotherham 0.
I was at the New York stadium when we played the Miller’s away and while I thought Rotherham played well I did think at 3-1 to them was a tad flattering. I recall at 3-3 Griffiths having a great chance to steal it for us but sadly his feet got tangled and the chance went begging.
No fears tomorrow tho so long as the blonde haired midfielder (Pringle I think) gets closed down better and we cut off his supply to Agard.
With 30000 fans behind us I can see a 3 – 1 to the champions looming. Well done to Sunderland and fingers crossed for City at the Etihad on Monday.
Wolves 3-2 Rottherham
Just love the Wolves.
Worked hard to restore pride this season. Credit to team & club for that.
Looking forward to seeing Molineux rocking once more.
Wolves 3 Rotherham 0
My girlfriend reckons 2-0 to Wolves and she’s done better than me when it comes to predictions, so I’ll follow her lead. 2-0 win.
30,000 for a third division game the fans have been amazing especially away from home . Three months after the debacle of brighton 5,000 turn up at preston who knows why but what fun its been. I spoke to the club groundsman this week and he said its the happiest he’s known in his time at the club . Happy happy days , continuing with 3-1 win tomorrow.
What a fantastic season so far, but now we have achieved promotion lets go on and make it CHAMPIONS.
I’m GOING FOR A 3-1 TO ME BABBIE’S
And again well done to KJ and all the team and back room staff for bringing back at least a sense of pride to our wonderful club and fans.
Lets see a full house tomorrow..UTW.
Players want those Champions medals and with a big crowd behind them will hopefully turn on the style.
Wolves 2-0 Rotherham
Wolves 4 Rotherham 0
Not many games left and we are due to slap someone soon so why not tomorrow. I am looking forward to my journey down.
UTW/FOWB
Wolves 2:1 Roherham
Rotherham are (I think) the only side who put three goals past us this season, our fightback was a sign of better things to come. I`m looking forward to seeing Molineux rocking tomorrow, and celebrating a 2-0 win and the title too boot. Happy days !!
Wolves 2-1 Rotherham
It’s got anti-climax written all over it…….no, no, this is the new KJ Wolves!! I’m banking on the drive for the title and the drive from the massive crowd overcoming any ‘already-promoted complacency’ and Rotherham really only have to ensure they maintain some form into the playoffs. All in all, Wolves 2 Millers 1.
Wolves 3 Rotherham 1
Wolves 2 – 0 Rotherham. Rotherhams poor form of the last 2 games will continue as they march towards the play-offs.
I have every faith in Kenny and the gang.
Only wish I could be there.
Enjoy it lads.
There should be only one outcome to this history defining season.
A Wolves win.
A Brentford loss would be fairy tail, but the doesn’t happen very often.
Hans Christian Anderson sais……..
Wolves 4 Rotherham 0.
I still believe in Santa Clause.
Come on me Babbies, let’s finish this in style.
2-0 to Wolves! Let’s secure the title!
Wolves 3 Rotherham 2 with the winner scored in injury time just to keep the fans nervous throughout
Wolves 3 Rotherham 2
Will the team respond to the biggest attendance in years?? I hope so. I am going for a 2-1 win for Wolves and the biggest celebration afterwards 🙂
Well, I have finally worked out why we aint stuffed anyone 5 – 1 this season.
The lads know I’m coming over for the last game, and are saving that score until then.
So, I will forego my usual prediction for something more attainable.
Wolves 6 Rotherham 0
See y’all in 2 weeks.
Wolves 2: Rotherham 1 + less than full points for Brentford = touching distance to the champions party
Wolves 3-1 Rotherham
Haven’t heard too much from you recently mate.
Everything OK?
No, everything’s fine thanks Doog.
It’s a totally different life style over here and I’m so busy and out a lot of the time, I don’t have a lot of time blogging.
The other thing is everything’s going so well, I haven’t got anything new to add to all the happy comments. I’d say King Kenny has played an almost perfect game. I say ‘almost’ as I wish he hadn’t signed Clarke, but he may prove me wrong eventually. I hope so.
We spent time with friends in Argarka recently and we’re going again on Tuesday. It’s really lovely up there and I think you’ll love it.
So not commenting much but following the team and the Blog as keenly as ever and I will be back when I can find something to have a good old moan about.
By the way, when are we going to be treated with the Doogooder Post Card? I’m expecting great things.
It’s in hand.
Thomas has it but there’s been a bit too much going on in the ‘World of Wanderers’ to fit it in.
Fellow I replied to that article but they probably won’t print it, probably a glory chasers Chelsea or Man City fan living in Essex. Any way I’m a bit worried about today game as is the case sometimes after the Lord Mayors show if you get my drift hope we don’t have a hang over from gaining promotion a draw I think this game’s got written all over it hope I’m wrong.
Sevlow. I replied to that article. Wankers
Wolves 3 Rotherham 1
Title in sight
Just about to leave for the game. I don’t think it will be a walkover but hopefully we’ll get something it of it. I think a 2-2 draw is on the cards.
Also read the article Sevlow highlighted – green with envy just made me laugh, a backhanded compliment, another sign we are on the way back. Today in the sunshine in front of a full house think it could well be 1-1.
2-0 to Wolves. If Brentford lose today we are effectively champions, as Brentford can only equal us on points but have massively inferior goal difference. As the great Alex Fergie said, good goal difference is equal to another point. If the title is not ours today, I’m at Leyton Orient on Monday and I hope we will get it then.
For the first time ever Wolverhampton Wanderers was an answer in my local pub quiz last night (which team was promoted to the Championship last weekend?) – I live in Yorkshire – and I spent the rest of the evening chanting the Nouha Diko Bakery Sako song in my head. Not only that, we won, so I’m going to take that as an omen and go for a good win today. 3-0 for me.
Bakary – damn predictive spelling!
The PMDG’er has joined the prediction league.
She’s going for 2-1 to Ikeme’s men.
I think that we might have a little bit more in us given the occasion, the crowd
…and the fact that we are tons better than them!
3-1 to the men in old gold.
Good job you didn’t let her in at the start, she’d have won it by Christmas.
Wolves 3 Milllers 0
Amazing to see such great numbers turning out to the Molineux today.
I hope for all those going they see a fantastic display for the Kenny’s men.
Going for an open 4-1 win.
This one’s for the fans!
6 points needed to lift that trophy so 3 on the board today will be a nice start.
Wolves 2 – 1 Rotherham
Comes on Wolves
We did it to Brentford, why not Rotherham. Another clean sheet and
Wolves 3 Rotherham 0
and…come on Preston – do some damage to Brentford.
Wolves 2 – 0 Rotherham
COYW
Just leaving for the game now. I think with Rotherham’s away form and the carnival atmosphere being a little distracting for the boys in old gold the opposition could score. However we will prevail, 2-1 to the Wolves. Come on me babbies!!!
Gonna be a great game today that I will sadly miss. Even my wife has noticed what a great season it’s been as evidently I am no longer a miserable old git on a Saturday night. Onwards and upwards 2 – 0.
Looking forward to a great game and another positive result. Wolves to win 2-0.
I get the feeling they’re resigned to the playoffs. Hoping for an open, relaxed game to match the party atmosphere. Wolves 4-2 Rotherham.
I can’t see Wolves stuttering now. KJ will have their heads focused.
Wolves 2 Rotherham 0
3-1 win to Wolves!
An entertaining game, but not entirely one-sided ….
Wolves 5 Rotherham 2
I think Thomas should give you the full 3 points for that mate.
Wolves 3 rothers 1
This one will go down in the Annals.
What a belter!
COME ON YOU WOLVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Four pitch invasions, ten goals, just your average sort of match then!
Now who saw that coming?……
Nobody.
Just shows our strength, even in the face of such diversity.
0-1, 1-1, 2,1, 3-1, 3-2, 3-3, 4-3, 4-4, 5-4, 6-4.
Unbelievable but I also still was not worried.
Can’t remember the last time I was that relaxed and confident of a win.
Come on Me Babbies.
Not long now.
Adversity. Fkin auto correct.
Congratulations Clive for a spot on prediction apart from the opposition’s tally !!
Watched them since August 1960, what a belter, absolutely captivating from start to finish. Congratulations to Rotherham, gave a brilliant account of themselves, fans and team. Made for a great game. Sam Ricketts worked his bottles off rewarded suitably in the end.
Can’t make Orient on Monday but will be glued to the iPad on Sky Go.
Outstanding game, just edged it, well played Rotherham.
Left my hone at 9 am with the intention of popping in to see my bro and sis before the game. Traffic accident on M1 and several others on the diversion routes saw me arriving 6 1/2 hours later. Driving in to Wolverhampton to hear them scoring first, then parking up as we equalised, and actually placing my ticket in the turnstile when I heard the roar of Dicko scoring his second. The rest is history. What a magical game this is. Been back 15 minutes and looking forward to the final game on the 3rd. Might just leave even earlier just in case my 3 hour journey takes 6 1/2 again!!!
Come on you Wolves – let’s take the title – FOWB
Truly unbelievable scoreline.
Not so unbelievable result!
Amazing , amazing. We all deserve this feeling. It’s been so painful for a while. What a club, what a set of fans.
There’s always pride when you say you’re a wolves fan. This is a special year and in hindsight , relegation is probably what we needed. To see academy / local lads dragging us out of despair(with fantastic coaching) . The restructuring and hiring of a head coach who can concentrate on football matters was key.30 + thousand today. What a club, what a city . Irish man , life long wolves fan… I wish I was part of that local feeling. But the best club any man could follow.
Well,gentlemen,
This is the real Wolves.
We now want to see us doing the same in the championship, and let’s not repeat the past blunders made by MM and TC,the latter being the sole cause of our past years of disaster.
Apprehensive as I was of the new set-up KJ has indeed moulded the boys into a spirited lot for now anyway.
But we need to still keep encouraging our lads presently loaned out.-suffice to say that our nursery has been second to none, and we do need to discontinue the non-sensible act of selling off our young talent. The sale of Vokes,Kightley and some others was indeed a blunder that was not at all necessary. Why they were not loaned out is a mystery that can’t be answered by any of the comical managers we have had.
However ,whatever the case KJ has indeed set us back to where we should be heading.
LET’S ALL BACK HIM…….UTW.
