This fixture was one of the real low points of last season.

A third straight defeat on what would end up being a run of five that ultimately curtailed our promotion aspirations, Forest blew us away in 20 horrible second half minutes.
This time we come into the game in better shape, unbeaten in four and high on confidence having collected an essential victory last time out.
I’m not sure this team is capable of stringing together a three, four or five game winning run that would rocket them up the table, but a four point return in these back-to-back home games would represent progress.
Forest
I actually feel a bit sorry for Forest fans. They’ve had years of mediocrity in this division and must have thought last season was finally their time.
The owners chucked the kitchen sink at a promotion push, but injuries, misfortune and questionable managerial appointments cost them.
Now it looks like the money has dried up, a few players have left and like Wolves they find themselves back at square one in the no man’s land of midtable.
But they’ve won three of their last four including a notable victory over rivals Derby so perhaps better times lie ahead?
They’ll come full of confidence and with a team full of familiar Championship personnel including former Wolves pair Dorus de Vries and Michael Mancienne.
Wolves
It was a big decision dropping Benik Afobe and I wonder if Kenny will again leave our leading scorer sitting on the sidelines?

You would like to think he might come back stronger after missing out for a week and I’d like to see him back in the team. I’m not sure Le Fondre has the presence to lead the line alone.
That said, it seems increasingly likely Afobe will be moved on in January if there’s a decent enough offer on the table, so perhaps the manager is already planning for his departure?
At the back, it would be good to see the defence put on a decent show to alleviate any fears we’ll be significantly worse off without the experience of Mike Williamson.
Predictions
We’ve only won two home league games all season, which is pretty pathetic and unusually poor in the Jackett era.
Had we beaten Brighton or MK Dons or QPR or Burnley or even Hull, which we could easily have done on the balance of play, we’d be right up by the play-offs.
I’m sure someone would argue all teams can say that, but it’s certainly been fine margins at Molineux and we’ve struggled to get on the right end of results.
I think we’ll struggle to do so again tomorrow and am therefore plumping for a draw.
1-1
Up The Wolves!

I think a score draw is a pretty good bet.
Not a very original prediction..but its my best bet. For West Coast fans we are again on telly
Comcast Ch BeiN #429 at 11.30am
Last time on box we stuffed Blues so maybe TV hoodoo is behind us?
Can’t believe that Jackett has decided that Ofobe can go…he and Dicko could get us promoted with the help of a few new recruits ( plus a quicker, slicker playing style) ..some time in the next 2-3 years that is. Just suppose we got X million…does Jackett really believe that he’d be allowed to respend that while club is still for sale?
A few seasons ago, we stuffed Florist 5-1, went top of the league, and stayed on top for the rest of that campaign, to be crowned Champions.
I believe that a repeat thumping of Florist tomorrow will result in us going on an unbeaten run of epic proportions, sweeping all before us aside, and culminating in being crowned Champions, again.
I also believe in Santa Claus, The Tooth Fairy, Stuwolf will buy me a pint someday, and greasel has the best interests of the footballing side of The Wolves at heart.
FOwb
I just don’t think we have it in us to be consistent enough to keep the momentum going. I hope I’m wrong.
Too much pessimism – t’is the season to be jolly!
Having gone for 0 3 against Rotherham what do I know? But let’s be optimistic
Since the inception of the football league in 1888 apparently 2 1 (or 1 2) has been the most popular scoreline.
That’s my prediction tomorrow Wolves to edge it.
Playing Forest always brings memories of Peter Knowles. “Knockers” last match in September 1969 was against Forest and ended 3 apiece. Never again would our mop haired inside forward with so much potential play in the old gold again.
What a waste of talent.
I think that was the first time I cried after a football match.
Having been a Wolves fan all these years since, they’ve made me want to cry loads of times after that, but for me, back then, a very impressionable 18 year old, I thought the world had collapsed.
Maybe Knocker being got by the Jehovahs was the thing that finally turned me off religion for ever.
Who knows, but Peter Knowles, for me, was the most gifted player ever to don a Wolves shirt.
Would have rivaled Best for greatest ever British player.
FOjw
Knowles learnt his craft from, and eventually took over from Peter Broadbent, one of the most supreme talents who has worn the old gold shirt. George Best idolised Broadbent who was a player well ahead of his years, and also something of a showman. In a game against Arsenal he skinned Tommy Docherty on the edge of the box then put his foot on the ball and waited. Docherty came flying in two-footed when Broadbent dragged back the ball and skipped over Docherty’s flying legs. He then proceeded to nonchalantly chip the ball over the goalkeeper only to see the ball bounce off the top of the crossbar. The crowd roared in appreciation.
Had Knowles stuck around he could have passed on those skills learned from Broadbent, to his own successor, and thus the chain would have remained unbroken. Knowles was a prodigious talent that we never saw the best of – that was still to come. One of the oddest departures in football that left a predictable Clive result – Wolves 1 – God 5.
I remember the TD incident very well. I also remember once or twice when a defender was injured and, pre-substitute of course, Peter B had to drop back in defence. It was a measure of our confidence in his skills that we could, without getting nervous, watch him inside his own goal area, trapping a centered ball on his thigh and body-swerving his way through the attackers to space where he could – eventually – make a pass upfield. Those were the days! Thanks for the reminder.
I recall one paricular game where Wolves were stuffing the opposition out of sight. Knowles picked up a ball along the Waterloo road stand and no one would come towatds him, probably for the reasons above, he would just do one of his chimmy shuffles and leave them standing there bemused. Anyway I digress, he waited and waited for what seemed an age and so he sat down on the ball and promptly got booked for ungentlemanly conduct. We were winning the game and naff all was happening and he got booked for being a talented played. Referee’s ain’t changed a lot.
A lot like Clive, Peter Knowles is probably the reason I’m not a church goer.
Two well dressed, suited individuals rang my door bell, when I opened the door in my pyjama’s the look on their faces to find out I had a door in my pyjama’s was brill.
Any way, they asked me “if I wanted to be a Jahovha’s witness.”
I said,” feck off. I didn’t even see the accident”
Thanks for the “Golden moment what a talent”
🙂
I remember that game Clive, you were in floods of tears when you dropped that Sixpence piece.
I’ve still got it somewhere in the house.
🙂
Ah, the Gold & Black Georgie Best. True story – the day of that Forest game I was 12 and answered our front door to a young smartly dressed man with an American accent. A Jehovah’s Witness. I said to him what my parents had taught me to say, “no thanks, not interested” and then as I shut the door I added “especially because of Peter Knowles!”.
Can’t see us scoring, and I don’t rate our defence – so only one result as I see it………
…hoping for a draw, but…
I fear heartache again. I’m one of the few who wasn’t terribly convinced or carried away by the Rotterham win. We are still ownerless, rudderless, and uncertain of what lies ahead for this club.
Can’t see how that cannot affect the players and coaches at the club.
I predicted victory last game.
However I think Forest are on a good run and will beat us.
Hope I’m wrong…
No idea why but a Desmond for me.
Me neither Whitestone.
Prove me wrong lads!
COMBs!!
Definite home win. 100% nailed on sure fire certainty. Why so adamant – stand and deliver, your money or your life – ? Simple.
Tomorrow night I will be in Covent Garden on my works London ‘do’. Starting at midday by the time 745pm comes around we will have been to a minimum of 7 drinking establishments and given that I am anybody’s after two pints who knows what will happen BUT, and this is the key, without exception every single time I have been in Covent Garden in the past 10 years when Wolves have been playing we have won. Spurs away when Doyle scored in the first minute and we won 1-0, Leeds away last season when we came from behind to win 2-1 with ‘super Leon’ scoring, can’t remember who we were playing but we won 2-0 and SEB got his first Wolves goal, Doncaster away in the 2008/09 promotion season when we won 1-0, hell even last Saturday at Rotherham, another win.
So fellow Wolves bloggers, there you have it. Just send me to Covent Garden on a match day and victory is assured. Stuwolf – think of me tomorrow night as Fanny Draham drills in our third goal, you will be cold and wet but happy. I will be supping Chablis and gorging on duck a l’orange in a nice warm London hostelry andddeliriously happy. Pissed up and anybody’s but happy!
Come on Wolves!!!!
This squad has most of the raw materials of a decent team. Instead of having to dumb the players down to explain the mayonnaise we should be seeing them grow and develop. I fear the gears may still not be meshing.
I’m up for it again tomorrow night, cold, wet, nervous and looking for a well fought game with a 1-0 outcome in our favour.
We have 6 games in the next 21 days, so we should be aiming for 18 very ugly but do-able points up for offer.
Every time the press have hyped up our opponents as “the team of the moment being on a good run”, a team turns up and puts on a mediocre display and shows me how dire this league is.
So Come on me Babbies, points to earn, opinions to change, bridges to re-build and hearts to mend. You can do it.
🙂
Clive,
Me buy a pint! Get real Texas,
COMB’s
Can we hold them that is the Q….
I feel Ikeme is important here…I loathe Forest almost as much as Derby ..I remember the whole side of the Steve Bull leaping up and down when they beat us at home 3-0 two seasons ago .
The defence Alamo again .?.this also could be when Afobe takes his chances..Jordan Graham again to shine..
back to Afobe I really don’t like the rhetoric re him leaving us as a probability… him and Dicko next season the best two in the league…
Surely..surely..surely..the fans can’t be sacrificed yet again ala Sako the club up for sale or not..
This should be when KJ gets a grip here on the fixtures..3 home games
& 2 winnable away games the last Xmas fixture at Charlton when I meet Mr Stu…12 points.
This is the start of my make or break
for the top six…as I’ve said before I dream on ..and on..
COYW
Nervy edgy scrappy.. whatever.. will take any win to keep this ‘run’ going!
Wolves have to just start putting points in the book and not worry about what the teams around them are doing. Come January, we will see what they are made of.
This game looks like a draw to me and a draw would be a decent result i think, but a win would be even better, so a win it is then.
Surely we can win one at home against an average team.
I debated for a while whether that was a statement, hence a full stop, or whether it is really a question and should have a question mark.
Without much conviction I have decided that it is a stament of fact.
Think this will be a high scoring game and if they can get the crowd warmed up early on we will do these.
Would be nice to see 2 strikers on for a change and take it to them from the off, close and pressure with a high tempo throughout and Graham has to be a starter…..
Does feel the press realeases are softening us up for a blow in January with Afobe……if Morgan wants to leave with any good wishes he should bin any thoughts of a sale
Lets have a great December with some points rolling in!
I’m hoping for an early Christmas present – there is a Santa Claus isn’t there?
I’ll go home win, assuming Ben10 starts from the bench.
ALF can run the line while Holt muscles the center half around the pitch, Afobe can come on and poach a winner with 15 to go. Hell it might even be 3-1 but I am not gonna be greedy!
#UTW
1-2 loss
one swallow etc … the club is in chaos, the squad threadbare and that fat piece of shit moxy is taunting us with the afobe sale … fuck him and has fat little face .. no matter what owners come in we will never achieve anything with that conceited prick pulling the strings.
I have either gone completely bonkers or had a vision………….you make you’re own minds up………
🙂
4-1 – Graham, Afobe (2), Price!
I’ve had a good think about what you said and I’ve come down on the ‘completely bonkers’ side.
My vision only has us winning 3-1.
Won’t be going tonight can’t be bothered as its on tv,Sorry lads I can see them just nicking it!
I think a little resurgence is about to happen. Guessing 14 points out of the next 21.
Tricky one this … unbeaten in four but only six points to show for it out of twelve. Still could have been worse.
Forest beating Derby can’t be ignored either so I’m going for a draw.
Too many people predicting the score I was thinking (1-1). So I will go against what I think will really happen and predict a narrow win. Somehow we seem to go to pieces when playing at home. I just hope KJ can fire up the team to play well for at least 75 mins.
Looking forward to a cracker tonight, between two teams who need to win and believe they can. It’ll be interesting to see who starts up front, or maybe they both will. It seems to me that every game that Benik sits on the bench, another lump is knocked off his market price. I find myself torn between wanting him back to his brilliant best and risk losing him in January, or see this new, off-colour Benik who no-one will make a tempting enough offer for to see him go.
Either way, I’d like to see ALF there with him to drag defenders around and give him a little more space to work.
I’d also like to see Byrne given another run out at some point, maybe against tiring defenders ’cause I’m sure his pace and directness frightens ’em.
Can’t wait.
COYW
No idea what the score will be. Just want to see us have a go at them. If we have to go down let it be with a fight.
I’m dreaming of an old gold Christmas.
Thing is with Afobe Jacketts been playing him up front on his own so he has had to drop deeper and deeper to see any of the ball, that is Jacketts fault NOT Afobe’s he been trying to get into the games.
I don’t think dropping him will have helped what he needs is support a partner someone to play off but Jacketts chopping and changing of tactics and formations has left him frustrated I refuse to blame Afobe he’s tryed his best to make Jacketts instructions work.
I think it’s got more to do with not wanting Afobe get injured is very convenient at this time of the season with the window round the corner to blame his form. If Afobe does get sold I will lose any respect for Kenny time and time again he has said he wants to keep his best players, well I for one don’t believe the spin if he was any sort of a man he would fight to keep Afobe and come out publicly and state he doesn’t want to lose him I would have more respect for him even if it didn’t make any difference, but as usual he will to the club line of……..to good an offer to turn down…….we didn’t want to hold the lad back……..AND that all time classic….” It was a football decision “well look what happened the last time a player was sold for ” football reasons ”
As for the game I carnt see us winning we are due a loss on the telly…….hope I’m wrong !
I’m not overly confident but this is a game we really should win.
More in hope than expectation

A jolly fat man chortling “Ho! Ho! Ho!” as he happily crushes all our Christmas dreams, eats the last of the pigs in blankets and gobbles up the pud drizzled in turkey dripping.
There really ain’t no sanity clause!
But we’ll still beat Forest.
The telly again. We’re not good performers in front of the cameras. But being the positive sort I am, I’ll go for the three points. On the Afobe thing, I don’t want to be controversial but if he does go there’s good profit there, maybe to be spent on two or three we’re short of. Maybe a couple of midfielders. (Joking).
Brad Walker from Hartlepool has been at Molineux this week and he’s a 20 year old midfielder who has impressed them. Moxey on tne cheap.
20 yrs old? Another ‘one for the future’?
Not as though we are threadbare in the midfield department is it…..
Out of hope more than anything else.
Hoping December is our month again after a month of indifferent results.
Will be interested to see if Benik starts on the bench again and I don’t feel Holt has been given a good run to show if he can score for us.
Start of a winning run over the Xmas period. Yeah optimistic I know but hey.
Come on lads
If we don’t have our optimism, then we have nothing. 🙂
In the season of Advent, Wolves have performed well since the advent of Kenny. I expect this to continue. This is the sort of must-win fixture that we must, err, win. No iffs or buts, only a win will do, or we risk joining Forest in the twilight world of long-term mid-table Championship mediocrity (at best).
This run of games is crucial in my view and next 6 games will define the season. We have to make home games really count – Kenny has spoke about players busting a gut (hope that doesn’t apply to Holt otherwise we are all in a mess!) to get the crowd onside. So let’s really get behind them tonight and see if we can build some momentum.
Come on you Wolves
I have a bad feeling about this mainly due to th woeful defence. If anyone has statistics for goals conceded when big Mike played compared to ebl I’d like to see that although I expect I know the outcome.
Two unpredictable teams so honestly I’ve no idea what to expect. So I’ll sit on the fence for a hard earned draw.
Sure to be a tough one with the Forest form guide. Still I think we can score a couple or three ourselves with Graham and Henry delivering the bullets. I also expect Edwards on the scoresheet for some reason.
A performance like Birmingham in front of the SKY cameras.
Graham will be the difference between the two sides.
We’ll win that’s all I’m saying COYW
Finally got it right last week!!!
That’s the first third of my hat-trick. I’m on a roll guys
Sticking with my 2 – 1
Prediction league is busted so it don’t matter what I predict. But ………… as I am usually wrong:
i think we re due a handsome win
F off forest & and up the wolves
After Moxey’s invitation for offers for Afobe, we now hear that Jackett has not been told what funds are available with the January window only 3 weeks away. To call it amateurish is an insult to amateurs. Especially when we read that Bolton are in the financial s**t and talents like Zach Clough, and Derik Osede could be available at knock-down prices.
As for tonight, after the relief of last weeks 3 points and given their recent away form has been poor and we have been solid at home recently, (even if we haven’t always won), so I’ll go for a narrow win.
Be good to snap up some Bolton cast-offs, as long as we don’t end up in the same boat.
Well done Jez??
Christmas is here Ben 10 and super James Henry to find the net
Boring 1-0 can’t muster any enthusiasm although Graham does look promising ,but we need more players to raise their game.
Can’t see us getting a result I’m afraid
I think it’ll be a good game but both teams scream mediocrity so I can’t see there being much difference between us, hence the draw prediction. Hope I’m proved wrong.
Afobe of Gisbourne to out Errol the Forest men
Gadzuks, we will need a stiff steve bull upper in this match but i like the cut of your jib.
Forever the optimist.
I posted this message at 10.55am but it is apparently ‘awaiting moderation’
What’s all that about?

The win at Rotherham will have done us good and will help us tonight
I’ve forecast a Wolves win without an ounce od confidence.
I’ll go for a win
No sure who scores, but who cares?
Fancy a high scoring game tonight. Didn’t realise it was an evening game till ten minutes ago, phew.
So disappointed. If ever a game needed Jackett to role the dice and bring on a striker this was it. Swapping Le Fondre for Afobe smacked of Morgan/Moxey. We are selling a footie club, make sure we don’t lose. Keep us up. Don’t take risks. It stinks. This game cried out for 2 up front. We are at home against a side lower than us… So disappointed.
Shower of shit
Nothing more to add
Merry fuckin’ Christmas, greasel, you fat fuck
Happy now?
Wtf. Got back from work in time to watch the 2nd half in the local. Lots of possession but no one who showed the ability to score. Same old story – we need to score more than one otherwise we will concede. 2 points dropped in my opinion. In games like this we need to play two up front.
Kenny your a fuckin puppet 6 minutes left and you put on our best striker, that’s it you can fuck off with the other 2 your JUST a YES man I’ve got NO RESPECT for you after this.
YOU have been told not to player him, fuckin JUDAS…..don’t come that pony about form JUDAS
I’m just a fan, paid my money, sat in the cold even though it’s on the box, listened to our fans sing their lungs out and we all get treated like this. What a poor effort of a manager you are Kenny. If ever there was a team ripe for the sword this was it, the Forest back line was poor to say the least, we were running the show for so long and you persist with ALF (the smallest forward we have) and yet you leave Afobe freezing his nads off. Kenny what your’e doing is killing the fans, we deserve better, no more excuses your’e letting it slip down the pan.
2 points lost, nay, given away….
Bah feckin humbug.
Woeful
🙁
One for your scrapbook there, Stu – a game of two EBL’s – hero and villain.
I thought we played neat attractive football – until we got to the last third of the pitch. Ineffectual doesn’t describe it properly – more like bloody useless. In the coaching manual it’s called ‘setting up play’ and it’s really quite simple. Lay-offs with the foot or head to players coming from midfield at speed; dragging central defenders away; and finally getting round the back and crossing form the byline. Only Danny Fraham showed the slightest clue as to how to rattle the Forest defence, but he needs quality players to play off and put away the chances he creates. ALF was Anonymous Le Fondre, and even if Freeman had taken off the whole of the left-side of Forest’s defence for a fag and a cup of tea, still Henry would not have got to the byline.
This game was there for the taking, and with 30 minutes to go Afobe for Anonymous, and Byrne for Henry, would probably have done the trick. It was a judgment call (not to make the changes), and one that KJ got badly wrong. Hey ho, another day, another dollar.
Makes you wonder why on earth Fanny Grabum was ever sent out on loan.
Afobe on far too late.
We needed more in the final third. Edwards isnt in the best of form right now.Elf not much better. In the end Forest got something out of the game because they had more determination. Afobe showed more class just getting up off the bench goodbye and good luck fella.
Well….. With some trepidation I will be at the Leeds fixture next Thursday evening assuming hospital appointment goes to plan.
Even my normally sunny disposition was kicked into touch tonight.
Just two victories in ten home fixtures says it all.
It is becoming apparent Afobe may well be on his way in the New Year but bringing him on in place of another “striker” (how I detest that term) with 9 minutes to go smacks of utter negativity. Dreadful. Nonesense. Garbage.
On a positive note Jordan Graham was a revelation again. He literally took them on alone at times.
So we have a wide man who can create endless opportunities and drop our only recognised goalscorer to the bench…-again! Bonkers – unless of course….ah yes bye bye Benik!
Ah well – decided to kick West Ham in the FA cup into touch and save some filthy lucre. The club has made no attempt whatsoever to progress in any cup competition since 1998.
This club is taking us all for a ride year after year after year.
You know it- we know it – I know it – but we all love Wolves but not that much!
Anyone who thinks Kennys the man after last night wants shooting. He not playing Afobe because he
Has been told no to risk him, what other possible explanation is there for him not starting or even coming on at half time.
I’ve lost all respect for the man, he has no integrity no loyalty to the fans all the talk of reconnecting with the fans is BULL SHIT absolute BULL SHIT.
I hope that the new owners clear the decks completely of these frauds.
Tim Spiers if you read this here’s a question I’d like you to ask Kenny,” how much Kenny how much has Morgon given you 30 pieces of silver !
DG the jungle drums are beating re KJ ..it ain’t just me fella..it’s now questionable if his decisions are blatant …
Absolutely appalling waste with Afobe ..options 1.either KJ is in collusion with Morgan to save him for sale..
2. With Jordan Graham crossing the ball like a player possessed (potentially to Afobe ) KJ is complete loonie …
Tim spiers comments on Twitter fairly
scathing..
As I’ve said before mate.
Come up with someone better, and realistically available and prepared to come, and we’ll discuss it.
Let’s see if we get a shite load of money from new owners then we’ll
see who’s out there…it’s all down to dosh..
You got to admit KJ creates a lot of (repetitive) head scratching …
We are both more or less singing from the same hymn (or should it be Carol) sheet.
But the rich chickens (or should it be turkeys) haven’t hatched yet.
Let’s hope they come home to roost before we all get fed up with my analogies (or should it be metaphors).
Was ALF really on the pitch?? He needed someone bigger to play off. Afobe had no time to do anything, but when he does come on, he seems more intent on being the world’s next great no.10 than scoring goals from the upfront position. “Tactics” or choice? Of all our player losses this season, the one we miss by far the most is Dicko – charging like a highly skilled bull and terrifying defences, setting up the chances for Afobe and others as well as scoring himself. No-one filling his shoes. Perhaps everyone’s favourite villain, EBL, should be turned into a rampaging striker after last night. he’d certainly bully defences and maybe some of those misplaced clearances would become shots that would hit the target now and then! It’s still ALL SO EFFIN DULL – what a way to spend a Friday evening.
Kenny got this wrong, no doubt Afobe should have come as should Byrne. But……we don’t know what constraints have been put on him. Looks increasingly likely Afobe will go in January and have no doubt Kenny will not be given the proceeds. So what does he do? Resign? Then what? Who will come to a place where both hands are tied behind their back? All we will end up with is someone who is told to make do with kids. We would be no better off. Be careful what you wish for.
As far as I can see, until Morgan sells we are stuck nearer the bottom than top.
Crowd were superb last night and I know it is hard but we have to do the same on Thursday. Morgan should not have the satisfaction of dragging us into a bun fight that will divide the club. We have to stick behind the team and manager.
Linden i am usually on the careful what you wish for side of the fence. I was there until the last weeks of McCarthy. I would give Kenny this season as a blip if he had been there and done it before or if he had some of the charisma you see in Premier league managers.
Actually i think Kenny’s fans have got little to worry about. The recent appointment of Lambert at Blackburn shows what is out there and what you can get but I have come to the conclusion Morgan is just a complete tosser with no real faith in the club or himself or even his money. Thats his problem but until we get sold its our problem as well.
From what I saw when Afobe came on, he layed the ball off went into position for the return ball, called for it and was ignored by his team mates.
Something is definitely not at all well at the Mol.
Colin I think we are pretty much on the same page. I don’t want to see this club torn apart as it has been in the past. Morgan has done his best to shaft us, the last thing we should do is make it easy for him.
I talk to quite a few Millwall fans when I am working in London and they rate Kenny very highly especially in finding young talent. I would like to see him have more time here – we have nothing to lose in giving him that.
Whether you are pro jackett or not, it would not make any sense to try and change this until we are under new ownership. The only exception to this would be if we went on such a poor run that we fell within a couple of points of relegation, then change would be necessitated by the real threat of league 1 football again. At the moment KJ is just about keeping us far enough away from this. Under current circumstances if we try and change proactively who, other than someone desperate to get back into a job would take a role where there is no certainty of tenure , no investment available for players and a restricted ongoing budget? As I’ve said many, many times before until Morgan, moxey and our impotent board are gone, you can change players, managers etc, but as far as aspirations for progression into the PL go, we will be pissing in the wind in terms of progress.
61 years ago today, Wolves were crowned the unofficial Kings of Europe after beating Honved and generally acknowledged as the best team in the World.
We’ve come a long way since then haven’t we!
Many of that Honved side had represented Hungary when they beat England 6-3 and 8-1 a year or so previously.
Graham,a shining light.First time this season I’ve not been bored watching us.Just a question;for those wanting rid of KJ,remember what happened after McCarthy.
After searching all over New York to find a bar to watch the game we eventually came upon a Irish bar called Bar Rua on Third Ave off Murray Hill not a stones throw to where we were staying. After a few drinks we settled down to the match of which thought we would win after beating Rotherham was I so wrong,we started off on the back foot and should have been one down in the first 10 mins,I fear KJ has lost his way of late or is he being puppeteered by the powers that be,
Myself I think its a bit of both, my worry is he’s lost that spark he had when he first came here.
Having said that his comment in the press makes me think he’s lost his mind.
How can you take the positives out of draws at home when you take the lead and on top for most of the game, and with your best player left on the bench again the mind boggles or is boggled.
Afobe must start against Leeds or we may lose not draw this one I fear.
One positive I suppose is the emergence of our young winger JG getting better with every game, with him doing so well putting balls in box we have to play Afobe in a striking roll NOT a midfield play anywhere type, get him in the box where he can do the most danger
Let’s put it all into perspective-
We don’t want to change Kenny Jackett
We want to change Kenny Jackett
Explaination:-
We don’t want to change Kenny Jackett for someone else.
We want to change Kenny Jackett into someone else
Well that’s cleared that up for me anyway!
Our away form is better. So win away and draw at home. It’s the fuckin way to go. At least we get an extra derby next season against Vile. Anyone off to sheff wed nxt wik. Should be in The Bankers Draft (Spoons pub sheff city centre) about 10.30. Perhaps a lager or 2 may be on the agenda.
As far as I’m concerned he’s welcome to stay as long as he manage’s the players..has a game strategy ..changes it according to play..out foxes the other guy…motivates the team..
coaches players who need it and make them into
better players …has the confidence to talk to the press sensibly..
KJ /Joe Gallen slightly lacking here..

Just been talking with Clive from Hustings, I told him, “I’m going to see Leeds on Thursday and Wednesday on Sunday”.
I’m on the coach at Wednesday, so not possible to do the pub.
Would love to meet you at the game if you can still stand.
