If you thought our limp midweek defeat was depressing, spare a thought for Norwich.
3-1 up with 20 minutes to go and 3-2 up 5 minutes into injury time, they still found a way to lose it 4-3.
Both teams come into this one licking wounds and craving that immediate response to get their respective promotion ambitions back on track.
Playing late on the Saturday adds that little bit of extra pressure as some of those teams around us will have gathered points and moved further ahead.
Norwich
I was on a Championship podcast last week and said if Newcastle and Norwich went up I’d kill myself. Probably a bit over dramatic on reflection, but I stand by the initial point.
The only teams I don’t want to see getting promoted are those that have just come down. Variety, spice of life and all that. Nothing personal Canaries fans I promise.
Norwich have been down, up, down and chances of another up don’t seem unlikely with Alex Neil maintaining a squad packed with proven Championship quality and a couple of players who have and could still do it in the Prem.
I always thought Dorrans was a good player at the Albion so interested to see if he’s still got something to offer.
Robbie Brady is one of those players who probably could have abandoned ship in the summer and Cameron Jerome loves playing against Wolves.
This promises to be very tough, but away from Carrow Road, I think they can be got at so an entertaining game in prospect.
Wolves
I’ve repeatedly said Jon Dadi Bodvarsson is carrying our team. For all the bits and pieces of quality we’ve seen from others, he’s been the one consistent.

If Dadi is anything close to fit we should throw him in as we’re probably snookered without him.
The center halves should hang their head in disappointment over Wigan’s late winner. Batth in particular showed a lack of judgment, pace and strength to allow Grigg the opening. He should have done better.
But I still think they’re the best pairing as Hause or Stearman are both prone to similar lapses. I can see there being a change though.
Midfield might also be freshened up so I’d expect at least one of Saiss, Edwards or Oniangue to get the hook.
Predictions
Score draw for me, on the basis that Dadi is fit enough to make a return. I think we’ll cause Norwich enough grief as they’re not solid defensively. They’ve conceded 14 already.
But we’ll also be vulnerable and they have the attacking players to make us pay. In fact, it’s probably our biggest challenge so far in that respect, certainly at home.
With Villa and Brighton away to come after this, it’s a testing time of the season.
2-2.
* For the best bet365 deals and special offers visit Bet Minded today!

It showed not only a lack of pace and strength, but also a certain naivety when Batth, in particular, and Iorfa faffed about for Wigan’s winner.
It goes against my inherent good sportsmanship (what!) to say it but the man should have been taken down.
Two minutes to go, the game to be saved or lost, take one for the team!
Who knows, the refereeing in this division is so bad, Danny might have won himself a free kick.
Anyway, that’s all ‘Walter’ under the bridge now.
Tuesday’s nightmare over, Saturday’s wet dream about to commence.
Let’s go for a win again shall we?
Oh! Alright then.
if bassong plays for them, should be easy, lets have a good gate and a great game, will jeff shi be in the local ? great pr
It’s a pity williamsons crock as I’m starting to think that Danny should be dropped . Needs a rocket up his arse after that winner at Wigan . Absolute shit half hearted defending . Shameful .
Hopefully he ll recognise his sloppy play and give us the display he gave against Brentford.
Next transfer widow , a good centre half ( some one like Collins at West Ham would do
And another marauding striker like John dadi bodvarson ( if there is such a thing )
All that said wolves to win 2 nil
Hoping/assuming that JDB is fit to play then I reckon we can get a draw out of this one.
Norwich have got a few classy players and our defense will need to be a lot sharper than they were on Tuesday. The left back position is still troubling – CBJ was dropped for Tuesday but Silvio didn’t exactly have a stormer and was in a different parish when the cross went in for Le Fondre’s goal.
Whoever plays at LB will need some help from the left side midfield player and I haven’t seen any sign that Teixeira relishes the idea of tracking back so maybe we need a more defensive midfielder in that position?? Anyway, my heart says a home win but my head says a creditable draw.
Gutted by the defeat Tuesday.
But still think we will be there or thereabouts at the end of the season.
Sadly I can’t see us getting any joy tomorrow. Our defence is woeful at times, and jdb can’t do it all himself. Heart says win but head says narrow defeat, so it will probably be a draw.
Well, I still haven’t got my clean sheet (despite theDOOGooder’s kind help in calling the nurse).
I assume tomorrow is going to be the same and I will be left here with the situation becoming ever messier.
Add into that mixture that we rarely play well on the telly and that I am still haunted by the 3-1 play off semi final loss at Carrow Road in 2002, and I don’t have much optimism.
For me these are every bit as good as the league has to offer, I’ll be very surprised if they don’t go up. I sense a miserable Saturday evening…
Until we sort out the consistent errors at the back and ensure we start putting the ball in the net at the other end I do not see us moving forward. This match will be the one that tells Walter what we all know. A top rate striker who puts them away for fun, and a strong gutsy hard bastard defender is what we need. Until then ……….
2-1 for me.
Bouncebackability and all that – let’s hope it’s us and not them.
Fingers crossed that Jon Dadi is fit.
Surely the defence can’t be that bad again can they?
COMBs!!
We’ve shown old weaknesses again. We badly need a rock as a centre back. Just how long do Batth and Iorfa need together to have a proper understanding?
This could be a high scoring match but as it’s on the telly there will be more tension and a tighter game. I’m torn between a draw and a narrow win. Assuming the Iceman plays I’ll plump for the latter to deflate Jez’s inglorious return to the Mol.
Both teams are smarting after midweek defeats, Norwich in particular will be well up for this game and the return of Moxey adds a bit of spice to Delia’s team visit.
I will be watching it on Sky but must mind my language as my 3 young grandsons are visiting, though if things go tits up I fear for their delicate ears and the sight of their grandfather bursting a blood vessel or two. They don’t really follow football but are quick with their laughter and cutting remarks about my beloved Wolves when they have failed in the past.
🙂
So it’s a must win game for the sake of those poor children. I really don’t want them going to school on Monday repeating to their friends what may come out of my mouth should we fail.
Onwards & Upwards
🙂
I’ve been trying all morning to remember the last time we played well on the TV. Every time we play on the TV we’re proper rubbish so on that basis we will probably lose.
But having said that just as we always struggle against teams we should beat we then play well against teams who should beat us. So on that basis we will probably win.
Although this season our home form is quite poor and our away form is better. So actually we will probably lose after all.
Mind you this season we’ve played well on weekends and only really struggled midweek so with that in mind I think we’ll probably win.
I’m too confused. Sod it I’ll go for a draw even though I know we’ll either win or lose!
You should change your name to “Pissedasa”
Anything’s possible right now and Norwich must be thinking the same thing
Looking for a gritty draw that shows we won’t be overrun…shame Williamson not fit
Just hoping Norwich will be tired after their exertions and mentally traumatised, which will give us a good chance to get a very important win before the break. However, that poor defence of ours fills me with dread, so I can only see a draw at best.
I going to somewhat underconfidently predict a win.
WHERE ARE YOU ?
LETS BE AVIN YOU !
LOL .. Never mind canaries .. What a fucking tit !
We are very hot and cold so I may as well predict we will be hot on Saturday.
2-0.
Methinks the captaincy should be tooken off DB’s arm.
Maybe that would free up his mind a bit.
My spies tell me Jeff was in a Wigan pub on Tuesday, listening carefully to what Wolves fans were saying about progress this season.
Bet he wasn’t there after the game, words would have been slightly different.
He MUST now see we need central defender and at least two more out and out strikers.
Steve Showcase, Stearman and Sako not the answer, been saying so all season!!!!
Don’t you just hate teams who have pussy bird nicknames….Canaries, Robins, Owls, and especially throstles.
All that moxey will be taking home, if he has the balls to show up, will be a little pile of very demoralized yellow (appropriate colour) feathers and a mouldy pie crust.
Easy win for whichever team WZ puts out there.
FOwb
Can we hope that Norwich will not have fully recovered from Wednesday ?
And of course that Bodvarson will play 90 mins.
Walter needs to get a good performance out of whatever team he chooses. Fingers crossed.
Hopefully another 3 points
I see that Ethan Ebanks Landell’s future looks to be at Sheffield Utd.
If so, I wish the lad well, but I don’t think he would ever have been the answer to our defensive problems.
The Fat Controlers back in town and no doubt will be salivating at getting his mitts on a few Bhati pies.
If its not a ex Wolves player scoring against us then I hope it’s not a winning return for our old chief Excutive.
For me our defence is the weakest link who ever seems to be playing. Tuesday night was school boy defending for both goals and we are simply not going to get out of this League giving goals away like that…..fact.
I think come January we need a experience center half one that can pass a medical as well as the ball.
As for the result I can see us either winning or getting thumped 3, 4.0 that how erratic this team is at the moment.
“When your marching your not fighting”.
Quote from way back in the days of Napoleon, so obviously everyone but Wolves gets it. Bodvarrsson up front, with Dicko just sitting behind him and we Will spend more time in their half than without those two in the team. It’s not fookin Rocket science it’s sound basic football.
I like the team but with Silvio in place of Doherty and Ola John instead of Edwards, those later two can come on to freshen things up late in the second half, Edwards needs a rest. Ola John is comfortable in midfield or defending so he can help Danny Batth, Silvio is a lot classier than Doherty and so I would play him first.
Canaries not whistling so loud now, Wolves snarling after throwing it away in the dying minutes yet again. So all bodes well for a fun game tomorrow.
Wolves to take it 3-0. Deliah binning her “two fat pies” afterwards.
Both teams trying not to lose ?
Feck it , a win for the wolf pack
Two plusses for us is that they also had a demoralising loss and they’ll have one less day to prepare for this. A negative is that, as Doogooder put it so eloquently recently, we are usually “smelly on the telly.”
We need some fresh legs tomorrow and I can see Coady and possibly Price coming back in. Hopefully Jon Dadi is fit enough to play as he was much missed on Tuesday.
A return to winning ways for one side, hopefullyWolves.
Still reeling from the Wigan result. Can I have 2 predictions ? One with centre forward fit and another if he isn’t?
Very nervous about this one, just hope they can send me on holiday with three points.
Lets hope for a good gate for a change very disappointing attendances this season, although away support has been great. Crowd at Newcastle league game was magnificent!
COYW
At left back Doherty was our best attacking prospect last season (!). He hasn’t impressed at RB this season so what should Zenga do with him?
Agree snookered without JDB.
Tex and Costa need to have solid, brave, performances for us to stand a chance of winning. Their play can be game-changing but they were shoved off the ball a bit too easily at times in the Brentford game and Norwich will have noted that.
I’m predicting a dull game where we edge it.
If we have aspirations for Prem footie, we have got to get rid of this tv complex, coz ALL games are on the telly in the prem.
Narrow win in the rain. Might have to come from behind to do it. Hope to see Ola John feature at some point.
Naarich will tear into us many times and give or take my eyes being covered up when our half back line get to the ball and DB runs in the wrong direction,it does give us an opportunity to stuff them on the break..
So give them 60% of the play, counter attack and give the ball to ice man..
Our midfield is the key to help defend and move the ball forward..I’m assuming Texeira will be allowed to play with Cavalerio getting more match fit too..
Is Dicko fit? (Ish) anyway, we need 3 points like the air we breathe particularly as we have 2 diff games after this one..
We can do this if Walter does the right things..and we need pace to do those things..so be it..
Let’s be having you – my Arse
COYW
We seem to raise our game against the better teams, so home win I think.
Just cant see a victory, its on the TV (performances usually dire), their chief exec is a fat canary, we cant defend (again) and they scored 3 at Newcastle.
Think this is a sad home defeat because we’re just not consistent enough on the pitch, in selection and in the way we play, we have no rhythm, no backbone, and not enough fight.
Saturday the Canaries will be roosting.
Is it realistic to ask players to come from Portugal and exhibit the same level of skill – but at full speed?
Silky skills and twinkly feet are a thing of beauty, especially in Portugal. But there needs to be some muscle too. Hopefully JDB is back, and maybe Nouha adding his physical presence, and I think we can win this quite comfortably. I’m sure Danny will have a better match, we all have off days. (God, that’s all very positive, unlike me in real life).
You leave us birds alone Olive! Having said that, Wolves ought to be able to tear canaries to pieces but I fear not this time. Another home draw.
Got to go for a win otherwise I can already sense mid-table mediocrity somehow.
If we can beat the likes of Brentford and Newcastle then we can also get one over Norwich.
However, Big Dadi has to be fit and playing!
At least one central defender needs to be changed – the (lack of) communication between Iorfa and DB gifted Wigan two of the easiest goals they will ever score. If WZ doesn’t fancy Stears or Hause to do the job maybe try Saiss at the back with Coady in the holding role ? Think its going to be tough for us, but hoping we get something out of it.
After following Wolves for many years from Australia tomorrow is the first time that I am going to attend a live game at Molineux so I don’t really care what the result will be.
I do really – here’s hoping for a win. Can’t wait.
Well done Mosman. I hope your day is topped off with a resounding victory. Enjoy.
Welcome to the madhouse!!
Enjoy the experience, theres nothing on earth like it.
See if you can get down to the Park View hotel on the West Oark between 3:30 and about 4:45…
Put a face to some Bloggers ……. You’re more than welcome…
I will try and do that – how will I recognise the bloggers?
We will be the only be the only one’s in there, we shall be looking very pale Mosman. It’s only a tiny place.
Look forward to seeing you
Make that 18,201 – or 18,202 if two of you are coming along.
Welcome to Molineux Mosman – to think I occasionally moan about traveling 200 miles round trip got a home game….especially if we get stuffed.
I fervently hope Wolves put on a show to make your first visit really memorable and the 24 hour flight home a happy journey.
BOG.
Big Dadi scares off the Norfolk Haystackers
No idea if Bod’s playing.
No idea who else is playing.
Inconsistent results and performances.
So, god knows.
Ég tók hann í bakaríið. If Bodvarsson plays we will take Norwich to the bakery.
I’ve just seen the minutes of the latest fans’ Parliament meeting.
Did we have any representation there?
If so, will there be any report or feedback?
I welcome the teams relegated from the premier league and especially Jezza (the Greasel) Moxey.
Unfortunately …just like the last time Norwich …you’ll be going home with your feathers between your legs with a Molineux beating ….hopefully another last minute own goal….
Fans Parliament minutes for all to view.

Thank you buddy, i’m in Derby in the morning watching the Grandson play, at least he’s topof the league. Will try my upmost to get to APV nice to share my Birthday with some really nice folk. Hope to see you there. 🙂
Twixo – me and BOG will be in the APV around 330pm. Hope to see you and Doogle there.
Thanks Stu. What a change they are in aspiration and ambition to the past regime.
Dances.
Could be Poles apart matey. It’s so refreshing and with all the dirty dealings going on in football at the moment it’s nice to see the dilegence in Fosuns methods. Not trying to sell us a bum steer or spoon feeding us Moxey Mush.
It’s not a Tuesday night, it’s not after an international break and they don’t seem to have an ex-Wolf waiting to pounce (but is Elliott Bennett still there and is Dorrans a willing replacement?). Those conditions don’t leave too many games in which to get our points and being on TV isn’t usually a good sign. But it would be great to get one over on that b*****d Chairman Balls, never mind our own good friend Jez.
Thought Jeff Shi spoke some remarkable good sense in his E&S interview this week.
TV games….not exactly Star Wars when we hit the box is it? More like Bad day at Black Rock or The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.
Who knows what will happen tomorrow? Danny’s gonna be smarting so expect a bit more concentration from him and Dominic (please).
Up front I’m concerned at our growing reliance upon Bod, Dicko can’t get back quickly enough for me. Even if only to share some of the pressure and kicks and elbows.
And as much as I’d rather we were an exciting, attacking force, I might just opt for Coady and Saiss in the middle, I can see our defence needing some protection tomorrow afternoon.
So after that pretty grim assessment I’m still putting us down for a victory. Okay I don’t think it’s going to win any air-time ratings and will likely be best viewed from behind the sofa or after a few pints of Stella. Scrappy, horrible, nail-biting 2-1 to the lads.
UTW
Think we will score goals but defence still looks dodgy!
A real big test but we often bounce right back after a miserable performance like Wigan. There’s no doubt in my mind that we have the quality in the squad to get the result but we’ll need to be focused, committed and on top form to bring that quality to the fore.
I feel it would be foolhardy to change the midfield as Saisse, Dangerous and Prince have, in the main, played pretty well together and the midfield is all about understanding. The defence was dire against Wigan so give Stears a game and let him benefit from the protection that Saisse affords the central defenders.
Bodvarsson, if fit, must play. Simple as that. I quite like having 2 wide men so Costa and Cavaleiro to start with Tex and Mason waiting in the wings if things ain’t working.
Quite confident on this game really. I think the Wigan game would have hurt their pride.
A third successive defeat on a Tuesday evening – thankfully I don’t believe there are any more on the horizon.
Norwich will surely be there or thereabouts come May – hopefully we will be up there with them.
Three points is the order of the day – 2 – 1.
Crowd forecast – Sky cameras present – forecast pissing down – Norwich will bring about 1,200 – Saturday evening – Strictly has started – can’t see anymore than 18,200. Wide open empty seats in front of the cameras.
I see our new owner has commented about our somewhat disappointing home attendances.
He will have even more reason to comment tomorrow night.
BOG
Well it’s on the tv so a boring 0-0 me thinks?!
I was ecstatic at Hapoel Beer Sheva’s 0-0 draw with Southampton. I also know the combine harvester cabbage crunchers hate coming to Mol. as the John Bond lovers decend on Wolverhampton ring road they suddenly realise they have run out of fields. Panic ensues as some bloke attempts to drive his combine harvester across the ring road only to find that it doe work on tarmac. Wurzel Gummage suddenly apprears with a police escort and is marched off to ‘cool down’ meanwhile all this supporter upset transmits to the team. Thus enabling Bod to grab two quick goals near the end and overturn the slender lead.
Oy ope ye’s ruyt moy laaaad.
Now get orf moy laaand!!
Who knows which wolves team is going to show up Saturday night, it seems predicting that is more difficult then predicting the lottery numbers, we are consistently inconsistent. We can be a joy to watch one half and bloody awful the other, defend like Trojans one game and be all at sea the next. My worry is loosing JDB for any length of time, without him the team struggles, he holds the ball and brings others into play, he keeps defenders occupied thus restricting them from getting forward. My other worry is in defence, we can’t seem to keep switched on for the full 90 plus minutes, we do the hard things well and then have a moments madness and bang we concede a sloppy goal. I am sure that we will eventually iron out our defensive frailties and with the return of Dicko not too far away, our forward options will be a lot better but this game has come too soon and I think Norwich will be to strong for us to handle (unless the real Wolves turn out and then who knows?)
I’m made up!
I’m fuckin’ made up!
Just found out I get live tv of the game tomorrow!!
Yippee kai ay, mo fo!!!
Lunchtime craft beer, in my own recliner, the boss making brunch and the lads on tv.
What more could a bloke want??
A happy 65th to Stuwolf, you old bastard, tomorrow, 3 points will be the perfect present.
And you are still older than me!!!
On the 25 th of October you will be officially a pensioner you old scroat, you lead a gifted charmed life, a beautiful woman and dogs that don’t care that your’e a Wolves fan.
Thanks buddy.
Happy birthday Stu.
Welcome to the club mate.
Have you received your honorary slippers and pipe yet?
(And incontinence pads as well.)
Thank you Mark,
Joined the list of old wolves crocks and infirm. Too busy to die yet though, so Onwards & Upwards.
Goals in both teams, but both prone to leak them as well, so I’ll go 2-2. It’ll probably be a bore draw after saying that.
I think Norwich are the best team in this league but the Blues stuffed them so think we can if JDB fit. Still worried about our defence though so who knows?
We seem to do better when I predict a defeat so I’ll go for an away win.
No former Wolves strikers on display unless Jez plays, so it must be a clean sheet.
Who is this M. Jarvis player on their team? Is he fit? I know he hasn’t been playing regularly but would seem like a sure goal if they played him.
Let’s hope we can shake off those Tuesday blues and get back to winning ways.
I expect it to be a tough game ,but I’m sure we can beat them if we can perform the way we played against Newcastle, who as we all know beat Norwich Tuesday.
I expect WZ to play his best side bar no injury’s,but we must get consistency into our game or we will fall by the wayside and discontentment will drag us down,so onwards and upwards and hope for 3 points tomorrow night.UTW.
We Don’t stand a chance against this PL outfit..
And to send our commiserations at his latest club losing, I think we should offer Jez a free pint to drown his sorrows
Was it the last time we played these at the Mol, van Parra (prat)) murdered their left back who was sent off. Our pacey wingers will be unplayable again, just hope our defence turn up. For me it will sky tv, I`ll be delightd not to see the away team mascot, probably the lousiest mascot in the UK>
Can only see a Naaaaaaaaaarich victory here – too strong for us all over the park
I’m very pessimistic sadly. Wolves, just like my beloved Northern Ireland let me down at times when you think they won’t (ie Tuesday). I’ll bite the bullet and go for a home win
Regarding attendances so far I think there’s still a lot of fans to be convince that plus Morgans ruining I mean running, no I got it right the first time have taken there toll on a fan base promised the earth and given an atlas.
Even the taker over has brought both excitement and trepidation in equal measure not to mention Moxeys or Morgans or both policy of asset stripping. Just as Jeff said Rome wasn’t built in a day, there’s still a lot of stay away fans to be won over.
The bookies slightly favour the visitors for this one. I remain optimistic though short of any real confidence given to fragility of our form.
First chance this season to watch the new team live in Australia.
Hope the result is way better than my gut feel.
Wolves new boys to shine on the TV, lets hope they leave there sun classes in the changing room !!
I will.take a draw today
Both teams wants to bounce back from defeats
They concede,a few so do we.
Going for a score draw
Wolves should be back in business. We rolled the lineup last time out and we should have our best squad ready for this one. We shall see
I don’t want to lose, but I fear Nor-wick will have too much for us this time IF Jon Dadi doesn’t play.
They are higher than us at the moment so giving our record over the years we should win.
Not Stearmans greatest fan but we need a bit more nouse at the back. Zen garden not getting the best out of Orfa or Hause
Difficult to see us keeping a clean sheet, but also think we are likely to score a couple at least, so am going for a win “by the odd goal in five” as the papers used to be fond of saying.
Some interesting noises coming from Jeff Shi.
One wonders what the future will bring, and whether we’ll actually like it!
Anyway, it’s good to be excited about the football again, I’m still not convinced that Zenga is an upgrade on Jacket, but everyone seems a lot happier. How much of that is due to investment and how much is due to a dead cat bounce is hard to tell.
I’m in the Netherlands so I’m REALLY looking forward to seeing them on the TV
UTW
Talk today is that Sam Allardyce might face a ban from football. I was one of Big Sam’s greatest fans but football now seems widely corrupted by money. Once upon a time when there was a £20 pound a week wage cap (that’s TWENTY pounds, not twenty thousand), a couple of top level players were sent to prison for relatively minor betting offences. (They were: Tony Kay, the most expensive player around then, and Peter Swan). £20 a week was just a nice wage for a working man in those days, nothing more.
Now, while England managers and PL managers can earn multimillions a year, there are still snouts in the trough. Appalling, but that’s human nature.
Yeah well, when Taylor Swift makes as much money as she does, you know that the world has gone mad.
Dances – there were actually 10 players not only jailed but banned for life – Swan, Kay and David ‘Bronco’ Layne of Sheff Wed were the most high profile. Like you say though their offences could be called relatively tame compared to much that goes on nowadays but of course back then justice was different in society e.g. murderers got life imprisonment which meant life unlike today where they sometimes get five years and only have to serve half. Good point well made though. Money corrupts and has certainly ruined football as we knew it in my view.
This could be a tough one today hopefully bodvarson plays and we can get something , without him we look toothless . Both teams need the win but it’s a draw for me.
wolves to win 2-1 we’ll bounce back from that defeat in midweek and hope Norwich are still shell shocked
No idea on who will play or how they’ll play. Strongly suspect a thrashing but hey who knows, if our teams on form anything can happen.
Happy Birthday Stu hope you have a great day.
Come on Wolves.
Thank you Hun, looking forward to a nice present from Walter and the boys.
Happy birthday Stu. Sorry the game didn’t live up to the occasion.
Thank you Exile.
Like the Wolves, I’m a work in progress.
I may get to the Premiership before them I think, mine has Pearly gates though. She was a great player in her day that Pearly gates.
Random yes, but it makes sense in my senile World.
Not so senile, Stu. Pearl and Dean were a great strike force – see I can also do random.
As I can’t seem to get a correct prediction, I might as well do the right thing by Wolves just in case it is my fault they lose against weaker teams (I keep predicting wins). Let’s go for a draw and hope we win.
Been off the grid for a week, just flown back in and dashing to Euston to catch the train up for this one. What happened at Wigan? Should have been an easy win,
Fancy we’ll win this.
Both sides will cancel each other out.
impossible to predict Wolves results this season. Last season it was easy for all the wrong reasons. But I’m going for a narrow win just to wipe the smile of the fat controller’s face.
As has been said before.
A score draw for me
Too early to suggest this is must win? If we’re seriously hoping to gain promotion we need to kick into gear and find consistency. It might be a lottery of a league but being a bit lucky and scraping points with occasional ‘Newcastle away’ results will not getbus to the playoffs let alone automatic promotion and is not enough to
be taken seriously.
I’ve been pondering over my prediction for quite some time but after all that I’m none the wiser.
On the basis that neither side will want to lose this one after mid-week disappointments, I’m going for a draw – hoping for better but expecting the worse.
Not to be a Debbie Downer but I just had this thought.
Fosun says their goal is to take Wolves to the top of the Premier League and money is not a object, apparently. They also want to make Wolves a world power again.
This might seem realistic today, given the current ownership in both England and the world but, as we have seen in the West Midlands, more and more teams are being bought up by Chinese people and companies.
This means that Fosun may be competing with other corporations with just as much money and desire to reach the upper echelons of world football. What happens if all we will see in the end is that the price of players rises tenfold but our position remains relatively the same (I’m not saying we won’t get into the Premier League but to be in the top 4 or 5 teams will be harder as more and more teams are owned by rich Chinese companies).
Just food for thought.
Think we should just worry about winning our next game !!!
Tricky one this but there will be goals. Not sure if our continental players will enjoy the wet and cold conditions. Come on me babbies!
Why is everyone forecasting a wolves win? Norwich are streets ahead of us, we’re error prone at the back and Jerome is playing. Can see a heavy defeat unfortunately
just scrolling thru the predictions – you were right on the mark there, let’s hope for some improvement after the break.
Another aside. Did anyone see the video with Jeff Shi where the interviewer asked him how easy he found making transfers was?
He said it was fairly easy except for one case, but he didn’t say which one it was. I presume that means it was one that failed.
I am thinking that maybe he was referring to the Talisca affair.
Do people here thing the Talsica noise was a genuine attempt by Wolves to sign him or just a Twitter rumour?
Could be a tough evening but I’ll back us to get at least a point.
Nick of time prediction…
Sky damming evidence re DB..just happens again and again..
He certainly is a liability mate. Bring back Stearman – oh we have!
Great display from danny batth again, guaranteed goal a game for the opposition.
Any one wandering why the attendances are what they are wander no more………..if I wasn’t working I’d be struggling to justify to my family spending my hard earned money on this shite…..!
If I played like Batth in my job I’d be lucky to get four days notice never mind a four year contract.
Jeff mate that’s why the stadiums not full, another false dawn to add to the countless over the last 30 years.
And we are not Barcelona playing with a false no 9 whatever that means, we need a target man, thank f… Dicko is back in the mix.
Just got back from the pub……. having a nice dinner served by my lovely wife. Just relaxing in front of the TV. Oh, yeah, there was a game of football on the TV in the pub apparently.
Thoroughly deserved loss.. no complaints whatsoever.
Second half was a bit better but it was all huff and puff football with no real quality.
Thank god Dicko is back but he ain’t the magic bullet!
There is light at the end ….. Of the season.
Hmmm, not exactly a stellar showing from the boys, it appeared to me that we were slower (the Prince especially, thank goodness Walter pulled him), lightweight (our guys seemed to bounce off em) and without any real plan of attack aside from get Carl to hoike it up from the back.
Lucky to go in at half time only a goal down cos we were chasing shadows for 45 mins and continued to do so until they began to tire half way through the second half.
Luckily we don’t have to play them every week, but heaven help us if we ever get into the Premier league, we’d be annihilated similarly to our first ill starred experience.
It’s a shame Williamson got crocked, because we need a proper, experienced defender and Captain who has been there and seen it, something akin to how Barnwell got Emlyn Hughes, to my then utter dismay, and then proved how little I knew about football as the bloke took us to one of our most memorable seasons.
Anyway, I’m fed up and I need beer.
UTW…eventually
At last ..we all say the same about our half back situation..how about a £12M no 5 in January then? .Jeff?
7 points from last 7 games
Well I recorded the game, and unfortuneately knew the score by the time I sat down to watch.
Abject first half, the defending and marking was four year old standard.
In fact it was that dire I fast forwarded through the second half.
For my first viewing of the summer signings I was highly not impressed.
Iorfa, Batth and Stearman are NOT the answer.
Zenga was a defender, is he blind to our defensive shortcomings?
This quality and standard of football will definitely get us out of this division, but not in the direction we would like.
The best part of the day was chatting via facetime to Sue and Mark Doogle, Lillian Twixfix, and some old bald bugger.
FOwb
Well at 5.15 I put a bottle of ale, glass and opener on my side table ready for KO. Sat down just before 5.30 and as the intro’s rolled I said to the missus “That’s the one they need to mark CJ he’s always up for it” Minutes silence over and were picking the ball out of the net. The commentator described DB as a “Big strong lad” compared to what? I ask. We are not going up or making the play offs with this standard of football.
We need sorting out all over the pitch, but that defence is truly shocking. I played in and against better pub and works teams in the 1960’s for no money at all just a laugh and a few beers after the game.
