Win, lose or draw in these final two games of 2019, it’s been some year.
The highs have been exhilarating and frequent, the lows occasional and soon forgotten.

Victory at The Etihad was a notable high and helped turbo-charge a season that had yet to properly ignite.
Even with that electrifying win, I wouldn’t have thought it possible to be sitting sixth on Christmas Day, above Man Utd, Spurs and Arsenal.
Yet here we are, deservedly above all of those clubs and showing no signs of slowing down.
Man City
After losing the Manchester Derby, City have responded with four consecutive wins across three competitions, scoring 13 goals in the process.
In the Premier League, Arsenal and Leicester were both pushed aside to help rebuild momentum.

It’s fanciful to think they can still catch a Liverpool side who’ve only failed to win once all season, but a few results can quickly change that perspective.
Suffice to say, scoring goals hasn’t been an issue and the 50 they’ve battered in already makes them comfortably the most potent attacking team in the league (Liverpool are second on 42).
At the other end though, the 20 goals conceded have cost them dearly and when you consider they only let in 23 over the whole of last season it’s clear where things have gone south.
Not replacing Vincent Kompany and then losing Laporte to injury exposed a vulnerability that simply didn’t exist. Fernandinho has been moved into the back four to plug the gap and I think they’ve missed his presence further forward.
Things should pick up in the new year if they can keep the squad fit. They’re still active in all the competitions, so may yet have the last laugh.
John Stones and David Silva look like they’ll miss out with injury in this one and Pep Guardiola also stated in his press conference that Sergio Aguero isn’t yet ready to start. He may feature from the bench.

The away end
Some comments lifted from the pre-match thread on the Blue Moon forum.
One good point worth considering is that Norwich could and should have been 4-0 up at half time yesterday but allowed Wolves into the game. If we catch them in another bad moment ( as Pep would say), we should be able to win this one. Should be a cracking game.
This could be a tough one but funnily enough would rather play them away than at home where they counter better.
Wolves always seem to take a while to get going and quite often come to life in the second half. There’s no doubting they’re a good side but they have a limited squad and Nuno tends to pick the same 11 with a couple of exceptions. If we’re clinical we could be a couple of goals up by half time.
Wolves have two games in 45 hours, us then Scousers. They will target 1 game with their primary 11 to get three points and toss the other game as I don’t think they have enough strength in depth to seriously cope with two games against the top 2 teams (quality, not league position) in such a short period. Guess which one they’ll go balls out in?
Wolves
I think Nuno has a decision to make for this one.

He’s got a formula for playing Man City that by and large has served Wolves very well and no more so than during the win at The Etihad a few months back.
Using the extra body in midfield and leaving two up front to exploit them on the counter-attack when they inevitably over-commit is a tried and tested ploy.
More recently though, the three-pronged attack has given the team more balance and delivered a sequence of excellent results.
You don’t want to change, but I think City are a unique proposition and the reality is if they get men in between midfield and defence – as Norwich did on many occasions – we’re in for a long evening.

That’s where you’ll also find my best guess for this one.
Up The Wolves!
….and of course

I’ll go for a 2-1 with a tweak to the formation of 4-3-3 with doc and Jonny as right and left back and sink moved forwards into midfield to plug gaps and then Adama jiminez and jota staying up top to destroy them with their pace and trickery
sink??
Confused me too.
Possibly means Donck or maybe Saiss or a combo of the two.
Merry Christmas to everyone connected with the blog. Whether you’re an occasional reader or a hardcore contributor, thank you for your support during 2019 and while we’re at it – the last decade. Special thank you to my old chum Ben S, Ben R and Paddy for taking on reporting duties in their own distinctive styles. I couldn’t do it without you chaps.
Getting that win at Norwich was very handy and with a week to rest and recover no reason we can’t attack this fixture and get another big result.
But I think Kevin De Bruyne could end up being the difference-maker. He didn’t feature in the game at their place and their approach play was quite one-dimensional as a consequence.
I suspect we’ll continue with the 343 and although I expect we’ll expose their defence and score, we’ll leave gaps for De Bruyne and co to exploit in midfield.
Here’s to being completely wrong!
An on form DeBruyne could spell trouble for us. I still believe we’re work in progress when it comes to regularly beating the likes of City and Liverpool (like we do Utd)
My predictions are erratic so I’m hoping I get this one wrong.
An absolute pleasure mate. Thanks for having us on board, always enjoy sharing my thoughts on here.
Merry Xmas and here’s hoping for a very welcome three points v City!
Problem is with the Donck and Saiss obliged to play at the back and MGW injured, who do you use as the 5th midfield player ? Maybe simply ask Diogo to play a bit deeper ?
You could bring Bennett in and play Donck in midfield.
Of late, we’ve been conceding too many chances (a result of changing to 3 4 3) but have also been dominating more (a result of changing to 3 4 3). Nuno has a bit of a quandry therefore which is confused even more by playing the best two teams in the country, and possibly Europe, within 48 hours of each other. But that’s what he gets paid for.
I’m thinking along similar lines. Bringing Bennett back and pushing Dendoncker onto
de Bruyne. He is the man we have to stifle. I hope the ref is strong enough to spot Sterling’s trick of inviting a touch when he pushes the ball past people. Other than that, we have to be patient and possibly play like the away team. I fancy a draw but without big Willy we are not watertight and City can be lethal.
Merry Christmas everyone thanks To Thomas,Ben, Paddy for all your great posts.
We will win, we have a great form against these over the years and again nothing to fear.
Lets hope the players don’t eat to much pudding tomorrow. Christmas day off, unheard of in the normal fixture list. Merry Christmas one and all.
Before I mention the City game I’ve some REALLY bad news!
Reported in TheDaily Star and other quality news organs (pun very intentional):-
“Everton have been backed to raid Wolves and Southampton for Raul Jimenez and Danny Ings in the January transfer market.”
What with that AND Spurs poaching Adama Traore, we are in BIG trouble!
Back to the real World.
Twos seasons ago, playing the Premier League Champions and The World Club Champions in a few days over Christmas would have seemed as ridiculous as the Daily Star story…
…but it’s happening….. to Wolves.
I’m still pinching myself (but very gently and I won’t tell you where).
Some might say that these two games represent a free hit for us.
But we are in with a real chance of taking points from either, or both, of these.
Knowing how we seem to get fired up for the big games, I believe that three points are quite attainable against Citeh.
With Molineux rocking, I’m going for a narrow win.
Such a bugger that myself and the PMDG’er can’t be there. The needs of a hospital bound 94 year old mother come first, especially over Christmas.
Give them a shout for us!.
Yes, the wider media world, and perhaps significant sections of the football public, just don’t get it do they? There’s a new order out there and the world of the so called big 6 with Everton knocking at the door, just does not exist any more.
Why an earth would anyone swap a successful up and coming possibly Champions League team with one that’s destined for a relegation battle?
The only way either will leave is when we can replace with better and, given the form they’re in, that’s almost impossible to do at the moment.
First of all,
A very Merry Christmas to everyone on the blog and to those who produce such great entertainment over the year. To all the travellers from afar, be it the UK or abroad your commitment to all things Wolves is commendable. Have a great Christmas one and all from Jenny and I.
Football:-
I think Pep is preparing himself for this one, possibly getting ready to take a fall, he’s spoken in the press of , “having to rest some players in order to compete in 2 games in 2 days”.
Oh, you poor darlings, we’ve competed in around 8 games more than most of the PL, albeit with the smallest squad. Nuno himself seems to be hinting at resting some of our own, but I won’t read too much into that, we are one of the fittest teams in the league.
I believe they will go all out to hammer us after what we inflicted on them at the Etihad, but that may work to our advantage as they do have a few glass backs and sick notes in their team. Kyle Walker and Kevin De Bruyne could well pull a ligament or muscle chasing our boys around the park. Can’t wait to see Kyle Walker and his mates trying to stop Traore.
The fouls should be a little more subtle, but I won’t hold my breath on that one, he’s on fire and what a time to have him in our side.
So I think we can certainly glean something from these two games, two tired sets of players for different reasons.
Wolves 1 Doherty header from set piece.
Man City 0
Let’s face it weve got to be happy with a draw here
Humm, I think WWFC may do alright against Liverpool but can’t see three points here. A draw?
Assuming Bennett is fit I would expect Nuno to go with your line-up, but maybe with Saiss in midfield rather than the Donck as he’s a more aggressive ball-winner.
That post was a reply to Sea Pigeon but somehow found it’s way down here…
After that win at City, the world, including a lot of us, finally sat up and realized what Dr. Nuno knew all along.
Traore is a fuckin’ good player!
Even since then he has come on in leaps and bounds, literally, and with all the attention he’s been getting, surely we will eventually get a ref who will give him some protection.
And, I will make my New Year revolution early.
If someone knobbles him, and he is out injured through a vicious, late, possible career ending foul, I will seek out out the offending fuckwad, and personally kneecap him!!
This taking turns in “taking one for the team” has got to be eradicated, as it is killing the attacking game.
How many times do we see teams playing tippy tappy possession for 90% of a game, without any intention of actually taking a defender on, for fear of getting a leg broke.
I thought thuggery in football ended in the eighties, but it is beginning to rear its ugly head again.
Players like McGuire, Alderweird, Verstuggen, and many, many more are dinosaurs of the McCarthy era, and should be binned.
Rant over.
On to the game.
De Bruyne is obviously world class, up there with the best in the world, and probably the only City player I would have in our team.
Sterling is a diving, cheating little shit, and we kept him quiet at their patch, so no reason why we cant do it again.
It will be a very hard game, but I think we will win by the odd goal in six.
5-1
We have beaten them twice already this season.
No reason why we can’t do it again.
Second guessing nuno is like trying to catch the wind .
No one knows how he will play this one
None of us guessed that win at the etihad and the tactics he would deploy using traore to nullify sterling and rip them apart as well was nuno and traore”s finest game so far this season.
Nuno got the first half completely wrong at norwich but he got the second half spot on and i dont expect him to cock this one up in either.
Reading between the lines city are not looking forward to this but for us its a proper test and one i truly believe we are up to.
I think we will see a repeat of the earlier game and a repeat score as well.
The way we are playing, the result could be any of the three outcomes. Heart says a home win or a draw, but head says a defeat, so…
I’m going for a tie. 1-1 or 2-2. Since I’m not in the prediction league, I can do that.
For some reason, we have their number.
Follow your dreams…
Despite the merits of going 352 v City and packing the midfield, the negatives are too hard to ignore.
Apart from the first half v Norwich, going back to 343 has seen us play on the front foot much more. The football is simply night and day compared to when we played 352 at the start of the season. Yes, we look more open between the lines and in behind without Boly, but sitting back in the 352 caused problems of its own defensively. We were penned in and facing wave after wave of attack.
Donk also offers way too much at RCB for us to move him into MF and actually cost us by leaving Moutinho/Neves isolated and running around like a headless chicken.
If you offered me 4 points from the next 3 matches then I’d snap your hand off. The point most likely to come from City than Liverpool.
Merry Xmas one and all!
A tough one, but aren’t they all.
We just need to frustrate these prima donnas by really keeping up close and personal to them so they throw their toys out of the cot.
Yes, they have fantastic quality, but we have fantastic tenacity so bring it on.
As someone has mentioned these next two games could be considered a free hit, so if we can get something out of them, it’s a bonus.
Well let’s just see if we can get that bonus ball working for us in both games.
My head says it’s a loss, but I can’t offer that as a prediction…or can I? Since many of my predictions are so wrong, maybe I’ll do that. Yeah, that’s what I’ll do. So here’s to being wrong.
MERRY CHRISTMAS to one and all.
Go Wolves!
Having had a good rest like the greatest team the world has ever seen playing at my home in Norwich ( you do not know how good the gloat has been this last week! ) I see no reason why we cannot get three points. Apart from one reason – Mr. De Bruyne. Has he been the cause of 24 bookings this season?
However we have Mr T. Like the rest of the team ignored by all except the opposition. I think a fair exchange in the potential to make their mark and win the match.
However we have beaten them more than have been beaten so why not Friday? Another lovely Xmas present.
Thanks to all for a good read and to Thomas and co for making it happen. Seasons Greetings from wet Norwich.
Wolves to win.
Merry Christmas to you all from Bedford Wolves and family currently in Southwold.
OODCL
Enjoy the Sole Bay Inn. Stayed just a few doors away last year. Lord Nelson not bad, nor that pub at Walberswick.
Live nearby and love Southwold. Usually walk off a big meal with a long walk along the front and towards the docks. There’s a great pub at the. Far end of the port worth a look. Good food and cosy rooms.
I’ll go for a two all result, though hoping for better.
We have no hope against Citeh. They’ll play us off the park all day long and show our little upstarts how to really play football. The idea we can get anything from this game is just fanciful.
Yep, that’s what the pundits were saying before we beat ’em on their own patch a few months ago. So much for their theories. Lightning can indeed strike twice and the mighty Citeh are about to get their wings clipped once more by the boys in Old Gold.
Merry Christmas to all you bloggers, wherever you are.
Tough 2 games coming up,
We can win both or lose both, a lot depends on what team turns up and how much Christmas pud they’ve eaten.Either way not expecting any away from home but at home who knows.
UTW.??
This one will come down to which team stays off the egg-nog.
Easy on the pudding boys!
Go Wolves!
despite all our great performances against the rest of the top 6, I still get nervous when we play Man city or Liverpool. . I know it’s possible though, so here goes for another 2-0. And watch out Watford when we’ve done with the top two !
The three matches over a few days surely means some switching about; I’d be happy to see Bennett in defence, and Neto and Cutrone taking their chances in attack.
Pep is desperate to win this one and will have his boys up for it
If we can keep it tight for the first 20 minutes then it will be game on
Start like we did at Norwich and we will be a couple down at half time
So, 2 or 3 up front?
Traoré to bully sterling at right wingback?
Nuno to surprise us with Neto or Cutrone to play the first hour and keep a few fresh for Liverpool?
Probably none of the above, so 3 up top , go for it and give them another ( Xmas) stuffing
I’ll take a draw right now though
If we beat these two , would that make us the best team in the world
Again?
Sun is already up here and I have a wolves megastore bag of goodies to open so happy Xmas to you all and enjoy a fantastic 2020 with wolves chasing down the top 4
Utw
Tough to be able to do a prediction as my Chocolate Lab jumped on me, right in my crystal balls, they are well and truly knackered. So I’m going to have to use my outstanding football knowledge and predict a draw.
Hoping you all have a wonderful Christmas.
🙂
Are we Citeh’s bogey team? We beat them in the Asia Cup in July and again in the league, another victory tomorrow and their faint chance of retaining the league title will be buried. Christmas usually throws up some unusual results from away teams and I fancy us to come out on top by the odd goal. Nuno’s tactics will nullify de Bruyne’s influence, winner from Cutrone in front of the South bank then onward to Liverpool for a masterclass in counter attacking play. We will be up for these two games all right
Yes we come Southwold at least three times a year and have done so for past 5 or 6 years – this is our third Christmas here in a row. Lord Nelson is my favourite pub then Sole Bay Inn then, a very distant third, the Red Lion.
Firstly merry Christmas to every one associated with this wonderful blog and thanks for letting lots of us old farts pen our thoughts & memories. As for the game, for me & with our style of play & momentum of the past 3 years, i ask if it is right that I don’t fear any opposition?
Not saying we’ll win every game but really don’t mind who we face as I genuinely believe that we can win.
So Pep knows how dangerous we are & will tactically play on our weaknesses.
A fully fit deBruyne can cause damage, but a flying Traoré can cause carnage.
Nuno has put most myths to bed so “doing the double” over cithe will work for me and a repeat of that score at the Etihad
Merry Christmas to all….
My stepson says …6 points huh!?
( he’s a 6’4” American .. but played keeper for university of California at Berkeley so he does understand … somewhat ).
I’m like
1 would be lovely
2 brilliant
3 points a miracle
4 or more- inconceivable
Despite us having the hex over Citeh my gut tells me that we will be 0-3 by half time.. with or without Bennett and I’d plead for… without
They will be totally merciless
This is payback and big time
So now Klopp thinks he can
Play the reserves and …guess what?
We don’t!
we have a hex on the Reds too
Two FACup wins plus 0-1 back when their crowd sang Hodgson for England ( so where’s Wardie now??)
So I will make a 2 game combined forecast
Reds 1- Wolves 2
Wolves 1- Citeh 4
However, I really don’t mind much if these predictions are reversed !
If I’m correct .. either way .. then I think I deserve
( I know I’m biased) a bonus 2×2= 4 points in the prediction league .. or 3×3 which … would be 9 , if both scores correct ???
Maybe too much whisky tonight.. but this is what our blog is for .. right?
UTW
PS just sent message to my brother in law in Brum to suggest that Villa will be much more comfortable back in Championship….Bless them
PPS bring on Sandwell Crem
Seems like you’ve had some excellent liquid refreshment, Marin. Merry Christmas.
Tough couple of games coming up if we lose both it should not detract from what has been a fabulous year but you just would not be surprised if we turned over one of the best two clubs in this country
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all Wolves Bloggers from sunny Melbourne.
Two tough games in the space of 45 hours seems a bit too much to handle especially as we haven’t got high quality replacements. I think our best bet is taking what we can against city and parking the bus (and praying to Jesus) against Liverpool. I would not be disappointed with a point out of those two games.
Firstly Merry Christmas to everyone from Auckland.
We have performed well above expectations against City since promotion but with De Braune in full flight, I think they may have the edge this time, hope I am wrong.
Wolves 1 – 2 City
I hope we can take three points from at least one of these games!!!!!!
Merry Christmas to all from sunny St.kitts! Tough game but feel if we score first, we will score again when they start to press. Play to “compete” and the score will take care of itself!
You guys may have seen this. But, Wolves are the only team that has not had a decision overturned in their favor.
https://www.espn.com/soccer/english-premier-league/story/3929823/how-var-decisions-have-affected-every-premier-league-club
Article doesn’t include other times we have been screwed by VAR (or ref not using it properly) eg
Doc being held down when trying to jump for a header
Incorrect offside whistled early preventing Jota through on goal
… and more
Draws against Man City and Liverpool in a matter of days would be fantastic. Both games difficult to predict against Wolves who are pretty unpredictable at the moment but so capable. Backing Wolves to win both of them if no injuries.
Forgot prediction
Stifling De Bruyne will be key for Wolves just as guarding against Traore going full tilt against an extended defence will be for City.
Somehow Wolves also need to keep track of Sterling with his habit of popping up in space close to goal. And Martin Atkinson needs to be alert for Sterling ‘s trick of trailing his left leg and waiting for contact. We’ve all seen it – why can’t refs or VAR? (stop laughing at the back!).
If Donk can do the job on DB and Traore match his performance at the Etihad, in defence and going forward, we can win this – then on to Anfield. Happy days!
I already feel a little sick in anticipation of Sterling taking a tumble in our box
Agreed re Sterling, mate.
Also worried about De Bruyne for his sheer class.
Looking forward to this one.
Draw for me.
COMBs!
I went for a draw for the last match against City & the lads promptly won. So using that logic again I’ll predict a draw so they should prove me wrong & win.
I also now have my lucky Wolves winter jacket & my Pack hoodie to help matters.
Hope everyone had a great Christmas Day.
COYW
That age old cliché “free hit” comes to mind, whether this comes across as negative I don’t know but for me a draw would be great, I just think Citeh we’ll have too much given their current form, really hoping I’m wrong and will of course accept all due backlash from this……
Proud of you me babbies!!!
It is tempting to think we should play the same stoically defensively organised system as was so perfectly and successfully executed at the Etihad in Oct. The trouble is Boly played for us that day and de Bruyne didn’t play for them. De Bruyne in particular is a key factor, he is on fire and has the tools to unlock defences no matter how well organised.
So instead I think we should employ a system more similar to the one we used from the Championship winning season and really have a go at them.
Either way it will be a tough game, could be a cracker, but my head is telling me to prepare for a loss.
I’ve heard KDB is partial to pigs in blankets, pork pies and sherry triffle. As such his mercurial talents like mine will be rendered temporally impotent.
This can only mean one thing – victory for the mighty wanderers and indigestion for the wonderwallers.
The Christmas and New Year period is a time for reflection and I’ve been thinking back to when I first started watching Wolves. I was fortunate to have started my addiction to WWFC back in the 1950s so I’ve happy memories of Bert Williams in goal (with honourable mention for Malcolm FInlayson) and a half-back line (sorry for using old terms) chosen from Billy Wright, Ron Flowers, Eddie Clamp and Bill Slater – all four of them England internationals. Up front there was Jimmy Mullen. Johnny Hancocks, Dennis Wilshaw , Peter Broadbent, Roy Swinbourne (for all too short a time), Jimmy Murray, Norman Deeley, Colin Booth and Bobby Mason – not all at once of course, before you comment :).
The point behind my pondering is that outstanding as the team was in those days they didn’t win all the time …. the thing was that – against anybody – there was always the possibility of winning … and, for me, that possibility ended in the early 1960s, never to reappear – until now that is.
There will always be moments like the way we played against Norwich, but that doesn’t alter the fact that, once again, we are capable of beating anyone (Thanks Nuno and thanks Fosun).
So, having said that, getting six points from the next two games isn’t guaranteed – we may end up with zero – but if we don’t then it won’t be because the team doesn’t have that possibility in them.
So, I’m going for a win on Friday and, regardless of the result, will be going for another one on Sunday.
COYW – let’s do this !!!
“The best atmosphere I’ve played in in England is at Molineux.”
– Ruben Neves
Quote from Wolves website.
Let’s make it a fuckin’ cauldron of noise tomorrow, lads and lassies!
Citeh ain’t used to playing in front of an impassioned crowd.
With the way the scores are going so far today, a win puts us two points behind Chelsea, who’s wheels appear to be falling off rather quickly.
Watching the Lester V Liverpool game. They are singing the Nuno song AND the Raul song.
Lester = Leicester
Watching Liverpool on MOtD …we must equip Patricio and the back line with sunglasses on Sunday to counteract the glare from Firmino’s teeth, they must be worth a goal a game
At long last leicester are being reeled in.
They are a good 4 to 6 points better off than they should be courtesy of VAR and we are are 3 to 4 points worse off because of the bloody invention.
So as the usual saying goes things even out over a season and possibly thats whats happening now.
On that basis its our turn for the rub of the green starting today at the halfway point and carrying on untill the end of the season.
I am looking forward to the next 6 points we are owed
De Bruyne is a classy player. He is the only one on the City side that I worry about playing against though.
I fear that they may have the edge, but, we will see.
Extremely tough game but as we know, Wolves are capable of the special and we will cause them problems. Got to be a lot better at the back than at Norwich though.
2-2
Newark Wolves are looking forward to a rare trip to Molineux for a night match with it being the holidays so here’s going for a win to make it worth while.
As Nuno always points out in every game we play we always always compete. I see no reason why we won’t push Citeh to the very edge. This Wolves team has got more fight and game in it than a Jack Russell that’s just eaten a pheasant.
Dr Bruyne is a class act and we don’t usually try to shackle or nobble opposition quality we strive to outplay them. That’s why I love this team and this manager. They will need a strategy to combat Traore and Raul, but I still think we will hurt them. Big game for Jonny as Mahrez is looking in decent nick.
Oh just bring it on, big winners today will be the neutral viewers but they will all wish their team had the quality guts and honesty to go toe to toe with the current champions.
I think I’ve just talked myself into predicting a win although my gut is doubting it. Either way we are on our own journey. We are clearly growing and I think in the same fixture next year we will have even more confidence. But still be humble. Tough tough game.
Got to be at our very best , looking at 2-2 draw
If Kevin De Brune is playing it will be very difficult, perhaps he should be man marked by Donk and Wolves play Bennett back in defence?
I expect Nuno to have sorted out his tactics.
Going for a draw but hoping for a win, Wolves are 7-1 to win at the bookies very tempted for a little flutter on a two horse race.
Season’s greetings to all ! Just about recovered from the excessive food and drink !
I’m quite looking forward to tonight’s game . It’s gonna be edgy but I think if we can keep De Bruyne quite we should nick it…..just !
I agree with all that Donk should man mark his fellow countryman and utilise Bennett in defence
All the pundits have us losing this game but let’s just wait and see
COYW
With all of this worrying, you’d think we haven’t played them before.
We do well against them. Just relax and enjoy the game.
Have I ever been wrong before?
Well said Tim … they don’t like playing us … I actually think we will draw this one , we are well rested but not quite on our game through out 90 mins lately , I think we will hit full beans and beat liverpool then be tired and lose second half to Watford
Leicester were overachieving and far too dependant on Vardy’s speed. We have more than one speedster in our team and no guesses who Man City will be out to stop tonight, by fair means or foul. Especially as he took the piss at their gaff.
Can I suggest a rule change to stop repeated “let’s-take-him-down-in-turns” fouls on a particular player? If a player is repeatedly targeted with illegal (i.e. yellow card) fouls, that, after the first two yellow cards, the third yellow card should be an automatic red? One day a player such as Traore is going to be crippled. Jota was kicked to death in the championship.
I’ve stuck some money on Wolves at 7-1 and again on Wolves with BTTS at 12-1. Generous odds I believe so I can’t resist them. In a two-horse race we are not nearly so bad as 7-1. I’ll even be happy with a draw.
Let’s hope that refs are wiser to Bambi-on-ice Sterling’s antics. At Molineux last season he went down faster than Christine Keeler to rescue a point after Boly’s hand of god goal. Sometimes I’d like to see Eddie Clamp dug up to sort Sterling out!
Showing your age now, Dances.
Or should I call you Mr. Profumo?
Only a VAR decision going our way will get us a result.
Other wise we will need everyone to play extremely well.A bit like the Spurs game no disgrace in losing, performance more important.
You know we’ve beaten them before, don’t you?
Being the eternal pessimist I am, going for a home loss. I can watch the game tonight, relaxed in the knowledge that if we get anything from the game, it will be a bonus.
well i have now seen it all !!!!!!
words are not enough to describe the absolute disgrace that var is and the morons who make those decisions have 100% got to be being bribed !!!!
they simply have to be …. there is no other reason for those decisions.
mahrez dived after losing the ball then stirling misses a penalty twice and they still give a goal.
of course its sour grapes .
i just pray we smash the shite out of them beyond any shadow of doubt and then demand an enquiry into that toatal injustice
Football’s gone to shit.
Why don’t VAR just hand the match to Citeh and we can all move on.
Footballs great. I love football.
I said there was no reason we could not beat them again.
Liverpool next
Can we have some Neutral officials on Sunday not anti Wolves ones
Excellent my draw prediction failed but my bet at 7/1 comes romping home, I wonder what the odds against Liverpool will be.
Mine too bardwolf
7-1 for a home win , how easy is that money
Utw
Wooohoooo!!!!!
I love my team!!!!
VAR on the other hand was a complete joke! Having watched that I need a beer or 5!!!
JUSTICE PLAIN AND SIMPLE!
Yoo gotta love this wolves team now – I’ve waited 40 years for it to be this good and now? Well it is!
And
So now will Nuno go for a “Miracle Weekend” and play the same team or will he give some other players some game time?
Tim, we’re only just starting. 5th in the Prem – this really is eutopia in 40 years I’ve never seen this. Just enjoy the ride.
I’m just asking what his strategy is going to be. Before, I thought he would rest some of the players against Liverpool but now I’m not so sure.
Rest some players! They only played 90 minutes.
Rest is available end of May 2020
And anudda
3-2 Enough said. Awesome performance..???
So happy to be hopelessly wrong
But at 0-2 I do confess my worry that my prediction of 1-4 was a possibility
BUT…What do I know?
It’s a lethal cocktail that we have
Guts technique style tactics stamina speed and heart
… and sheer willpower
We are Wolves
Let’s Expect freedom of Liverpool for entireWolves team and fans come Sunday
Btw Reds …..
My dear departed Diane is up There and she is still pulling strings
