I thought that was alright on Wednesday.
Maybe I’ve just become too conditioned to us not scoring, but the approach looked correct and there were things to admire.

Even without Ruben in midfield, we controlled possession and gave Burnley very little. The organisation and the appetite to deal with their agricultural style were there.
The tactic was clearly to move them side-to-side and play through them, rather than just going wide and slinging in crosses. Again, I thought this was the right thing to do, but we never quite got the break of the ball and there wasn’t enough aggression in the area to go for the kill when we did.
The style is good, but we’re just not quite incisive or ruthless enough. I’m not sure if the answer is personnel or tactics, but we have to improve in that regard.
We have the second weakest attacking record in the division now, but we also have the third-best defensive record, which shouldn’t be overlooked and we’ll definitely need to lean on that strength tomorrow.
Liverpool
The Reds have scored 31 more league goals than us already, which is embarrassing but less so when you consider they’ve also got 14 more than Man City. They’re basically an unstoppable attacking force.
Even on the rare occasions they’ve dropped points, it’s usually having scored at least twice, underlining just how tough this is going to be for goal-shy Wolves.

Their second-best attacking weapon has been our old friend Diogo with 8 PL goals to his name this season and there is no question that £42 million was well spent. Boy, could we do with him now.
Special mention for Mo Salah who has been propping up my Fantasy team for the last couple of years and has been ridiculous this season.
Brentford, Brighton and West Ham have taken points off them so the job can be done, but they’ve scored four goals in each of their last three Premier League matches, so they’re coming in hot.
If they keep everyone fit, it’s hard to see how they can be stopped. Man City and Chelsea are both excellent but sheer firepower may well give them the edge.

The away end
Some thoughts lifted from the pre-match thread on a popular Liverpool forum.
Will be strange playing Wolves in daylight because it seems they have a policy to only play games at night. Keep Hwang and Jimenez quiet and we’ll win, they’re not a bad side but we should have enough to overcome them. 0-2.
Maybe jinxing things but I don’t see how they live with us. You are likely going to have to score 2 just to get a point and they don’t have goals in them. Think this will be a comfortable victory.
Being a bit more serious, we tend to struggle after massive performances (I’d said Everton was one). Post-Man Utd we draw with Brighton, post Atletico we lose vs West Ham. Jurgen needs to manage the emotion and energy carefully so we can bin these hangover performances. Finally, I love the aesthetics of red vs gold, reminds me of old school football, so hope we keep our home kit. It’s not as if you can confuse them.
Not enough goals in this wolves team to hurt us, they don’t concede much though so will be a professional 2-0 I think.
Wolves don’t look particularly threatening but they won’t concede many. I don’t think Jimenez is coming back as the same player, not sure anybody could though. Traore can hurt you but he’s largely harmless, and other than that there isn’t really anybody who stands out. What happened to Podence and Neto? If they’d have kept Jota alongside those that could have been a tasty attack. Midfield will be key again, and I’d expect us to take control against an ageing Moutinho and co. Three points please, reds, by any means.
Wolves
Will Bruno make any special concessions to combat such attacking excellence? He could use the old Nuno ploy of playing three in midfield, but I suspect he’ll retain the front three with more specific instructions about how to position themselves.

As they like to pile their full-backs forward, you’d hope that would at least afford Adama and Hwang some opportunities to get at their centre-halves.
We should create chances, but can we take those chances and can we do it before they lay siege to our goal? It’s a big ask.
With Neves back and possibly Podence, we should at least have a few more options off the bench.
Last time out
We’ve lost all six league games to Liverpool since returning to the Premier League. There’s been a degree of misfortune in some of those but we got a right pasting at Anfield last season. Coady made a terrible error for the first goal and we fell apart in the second half.

Both teams were being held together by sellotape late in the season, but it was again Liverpool who emerged with the victory courtesy of Diogo Jota’s goal. We probably did enough to warrant a point from that game but as is so often the case, we just couldn’t execute in the final third.
Predictions
Well done to Woodend wolf and Mike Jones for correctly predicting another blank in the Burnley game. Both collect a maximum.
Brompton Wolf leads the way at the top of the overall table at the end of Gameweek 14.
As always, if you’d like to join in, it’s simple – just leave your prediction in the comment section below using the boxes provided. Then repeat for every preview article throughout the season, making sure you always use the same email address to make your prediction. Your email is what ties you to your overall score.

Up The Wolves!
Polite request – when commenting in the preview article after the game has finished, can you not place score predictions in the boxes, please? It confuses the system. Many thanks.

There might be more than a tinge of arrogance to some of the Liverpool fan comments, but can you blame them really? I think we’d probably be the same in their position.
With a healthy 21 points on the board already, I hope we approach these difficult fixtures in December by seeing it as an opportunity to play with freedom and belief. It would be very nice to round off the first half of the season by upsetting at least one of the big three and yes, I’d most like that to be Kloop & Co as we haven’t taken anything off them in our current PL stint.
Do I think we’ll do it? Nah, not really.
Statistically, they’re averaging over 3 goals a game and we’re now less than 1 a game, so my 1-2 is actually an optimistic forecast. When you see how the top teams are battering down the goal differences of everyone else, it’s a handy consolation prize if you can stay within one.
If you believe in stats, and who doesn’t nowadays, this makes a prediction easy. Over the last few weeks, West Ham beat Liverpool, Wolves beat West Ham. So, there can be only one winner.
We owe them one for sure. And we are due one of our occasional scintillating performances. It’s all pointing at a good old-fashioned coupon buster.
Not only that, but thanks to a little help from my friends, I’m coming up to watch and share in the joy of a hard fought but worthy victory.
Looking at the pros’ for Wolves, the defence has been outstanding so far but tomorrow it will be tested like never before and home form has generally been good so the home crowd could have a marked influence upon the game.
The cons though greatly outweigh the pros and Liverpool are ‘hot’ at present and as has been stated above, Wolves will need to score at least 2 goals just to gain a point!
That said it is possible of course but seems unlikely given that none of our players seem to know how to score.
So, the result – Liverpool to win, it is hard to see any other outcome but then stranger things have happened and perhaps (fingers crossed) something does!
So this is a contest between one team who simply can’t score goals and another who can’t stop doing so.
With that in mind I reckon your scorecast is about right Rick.
They are hot at the moment and we have been tight at the back. Anything could happen tomorrow but I’ll stick my neck out and predict taking a point off of them.
On the one hand, look at Liverpool’s ability to score freely and our inability and the result looks like an inevitable win.
On the other hand, we are difficult to score against. Also with Neves back and Podence as well, Raul and Hwang are dangerous, and Traore presumably wanting to impress to aid his potential transfer, you have to remember this ………
there are two teams playing, either can win it, or it can be a draw. We just have to believe. Anything is possible.
UTW
All good things come to an end.
Liverpool’s scoring streak.
Our lack of points against them over the last three years.
Our goal shy attacking.
Brompton’s cheating in the Prediction League.
So it shall come to pass tomorrow, a full Molineux will witness a famous “ I was there” victory over those arrogant scousers.
They will not play with their usual aplomb, thinking we are cannon fodder, and as my namesake used to say in every Dad’s Army episode “ They don’t like it up ‘em”
A famous, fabulous win for the Mighty Wanderers, to leave Citeh and Chelski quaking with trepidation.
I don’t like slander. Cut it out please as it is now becoming tedious.
you pair make me chuckle
Sorry Clive, 5-1 are you serious! Hope all good with you.
I’m fearfully of what Liverpool will do to us we can’t score against two of the worst teams in the league and Liverpool are scoring for fun.But ever the optimist I’m going 2-1 to the Wolves keep Salah Mane and Jota quite will have a chance.
It feels as if we would need to play 180 minutes a game to bag a goal and Raul isn’t the same player as before his injury. Traore May up his levels given he will be playing to impress Klopp to force a move in January. And our defence always feels a little stuck together with cellotape. I can see nothing but a total spanking coming. But you never know with Wolves. I just hope it’s an exciting watch!
Have to agree with most on here. On paper looks like another away win. But, you never know. I won’t ever win the prediction league, as I can’t ever bring myself to say we will lose.
I hate scousers and there ‘ ay, ay were greeeeat’ attitude’ and can’t forget what happened to me their place many years ago.
Going to look at the positive that we do usually turn up against the big boys. We stopped Man Utd record winning streak a few years back, so on our day.
The big difference on Saturday can be us. Lift the roof off make it a gold and black sea of colour , with atmosphere to boot. After all, it’s probably the only time we won’t be last match on MoTD. 🙂
Liverpool are pretty good just now so we won’t win easily !!
Only way we get something from this is to be one nil down in the second half so Liverpool will not press and we nick a Jiminez goal with five minutes…. no, one minute left . Then we hang on
The highest paid servant at Liverpool FC?
Klopps dentist.
The man has too many teeth, and having munched through a bag of soft toffees midweek is in no fit dental state to tackle a bristling wolf pack, eager to sell him a packet of floss and some Traore.
The mighty T nets his customary brace which has Bully doing cartwheels in the stands, and Toothy reaching for his checkbook to add more noughts to his imagined pricetag.
With the world watching the Yammers put on a scintillating display of Brunoball, humbling the hot Scouse as the emergency dentist performs an upper molar extraction in the visitors dugout. Woozy from the procedure Klopp offers us 300 million for Adama and we all go home happy. 1 lv
Don’t worry about Kloppy.
Like Kim Kardashian’s buttocks his molars are fully insured.
Just had a message from a Mr K. Dodd of Diddy Dental Insurance, Knotty Ash.
‘Mr Klopp has a fully comp policy covering all his extra teeth. Those for sale on the blackmarket should be treated as fakes.’

Trying to guess Traore’s thought processes makes a Rubik cube simplistic, so why would he play better just because it’s Liverpool and the media have pushed a rumour? Why would he move somewhere to warm the bench more than he does at Wolves? As a professional, he just wants to play every week surely ?
No, I don’t know either. BUT there will be big spaces behind Liverpool’s back line so when Neves gets the ball Adama, leg it!
As for Liverpool, let’s give it a go and not be scared, be brave, do our jobs and give Molineux something to shout about (cheering a goal hopefully), above all avoid embarrassment or humiliation. (Alun Evans returns, Boswell in goal 0-6)
Same for me BG.
Hope that we’re both wrong.
COMBs!
Adama Masterclass just before he hugs klopp at full time.
Salah is the man though, even if his perm is about 30 years out of date even for Liverpool!
We are well due a bit of luck in this fixture after a couple of very borderline var decisions going against us previously so maybe we get beaten up but the rub of the green gets us a point and keeps our unbeaten run ticking along.
So a Desmond against the shell suits for me .
Come on you wolves
I have no idea what the outcome of this game will be, but I do know Liverpool should win it if I’m honest. I’ll go for a 2-1 win for Liverpool.
Pause for frustrated rant:
I had a little thought as to why we struggled to score against Burnley when we were so much the better side. No disrespect to Burnley who did a job on us, as usual, this time despite our being far superior in this game as opposed to the last time we met: Our front wide men cut in on attack to make room for the wing backs who find their opposing full backs in position to deny them mostly; This going inside plays into Burnley’s defence as it allows them to be more compact in what is a very well drilled defence. Our opportunities mostly came from breakaways when defending which was not often. Our old method of hitting on the break is more effective when facing defensive teams but there lies the problem, they are set up to defend rather than attack relentlessly, and it is exacerbated attacking on a more compacted front. Mind you we were unlucky not to fashion a winner against them in what I think was a fairly good display. As with all tactics it is counter productive, to my mind, to become so predictable in our approach as we were attack after attack. Allowing players much more licence for movement and dragging players hopefully out of position rather than sticking doggedly to a plan which was seen to be bearing no fruit. This is something Liverpool, Man City and Chelsea do effortlessly when on song and as we did against West Ham. Rant over…
I hope I’m wrong on the result but…
I’d go for three in the middle of the park and Hwang or Adama playing off Raul up front. Width from Ait and Semedo when the opportunity occurs.
I think we’ll do well to get anything out of this . . . . . but with us you always live in hope.
So I bring fairy dust from California to Molineux tomorrow.
Covid tests done and heading to Brum tonight and then on to Park View hotel
Any bloggers going to game please let me know details of pre or post game drinking venues

Thank you in advance
Meantime think our only chance of a point is to hang on like grim death after their first goal as per Gerry D’Arcy and grab last second goal via Traore breakaway
Better if they are down to 10 men too …shades of the 3-2 win vs Citeh
Whatever …it will be a Blast to hear the Molineux faithful firsthand

Enjoy the day, Marin
Can meet up in Park View around 12.00 pre match if you want.
Great!
Will be in the bar
See you there
B
Ps others welcome…
Wolfstroker??
Possibly Marin. Just for a swifty.
Got some heavy partying to do in the evening so have to leave some room.
Be great to see you again though.
I’ve been following Diogo’s fortunes at Liverpool – hasn’t he done well ! Also remembering a couple of good wins when Paul Lambert was manager – did Helder Costa dribble the length of the pitch to score ?
Can only hope this time – we used to outperform against the top clubs then fail to the likes of Brighton, didn’t we, but not this time, I fear, I just hope it’s not a thrashing.
This will be an opportune time for Traore to impress Klopp before the January window. I suppose he’s already sent his CV and covering letter to Anfield? “Dear Mr Klopp, as a boy in Barcelona I supported Liverpool and it has always been my wet dream to play for you. Your dazzling-dentures smile has me smitten, and I will be so very unplayable every time I play for you. Thanking you in anticipation, Adama” . My guess is that Traore is more likely to score for Liverpool than for Wolves tomorrow. Just as a precaution, the Liverpool keeper will probably wear a target on his chest.
We’ve often lifted our game against Liverpool, but usually when Traore is on blistering form. He is the key. If the key can’t find the lock tomorrow, we’re doomed.
I can see us scoring, maybe even taking the lead, but if we go behind we will pay if we have to chase the game. 1-3.
Looking at the PL table, we’re down to 8th, which I suppose is about right, given our depth and quality of squad. Sadly, fine margins make a great deal of difference. But for unexpected dropped points against Norwich and Burnley, we would be sitting pretty in fifth place today.
Thomas, I’m intrigued by your statement: “Polite request – when commenting in the preview article after the game has finished, can you not place score predictions in the boxes, please? It confuses the system. Many thanks”.
Sounds to me like someone’s cheating ! Red card! Prediction League-Gate. Name names!
That is the exact reason our friendly, butter wouldn’t melt, Brompton is known as Chalkie the Cheat !
Travelling up in hope .
we could squeeza a point so …
No Podence is a blow, i thought he’d be back for this game. So he has to isolate for ten days even if he tests negative sometime this week says the E&S? Confusing! Traore to shine and we emerge victorious from a game to remember. UTW!
Note for Thomas please.
Can you please advise a certain blogger to refrain from making false statements. Those bloggers who do not know me may start questioning my integrity. I am not happy.
Thank you
Let’s get VAR in for the Prediction League next season. And Thomas should make full use of the pitch-side monitor.
For what’s its worth Brompton, I don’t believe him. I put it down to too much time in the blazing sun, and poor quality ale – a lack of Banks’s, Hanson’s, Old Ma Pardoe’s, and Holden has affected his mental capabilities.
Looking forward to tomorrow. Whilst we have found Liverpool difficult to beat we have had success in the cup at their gaff. That said, sadly I cannot see us being successful tomorrow.
On current form we’re up against what is probably the best team in the world.
As much as I’d like to think there are overall improvements, I think we have a way to go to beat this Liverpool side at this moment in time.
Put up in a decent performance and move on.
Raul looked a yard off the pace the last 2 games … so he must have been saving himself for tomorrows goal fest…Ruben returns too ….this could be huge
0-3. ME BEING OPTIMISTIC…
Just one brave soul above has predicted a Wolves win and that honour goes to our great mate Wolfstroker, who’s already set out from Plymouth to get his usual spot for his mobile home.
Well here comes brave soul number 2.
Of course they’re good and on fire etc but it’s still 11 v 11 and I believe we’ve got a defensive unit that’s got lockout written all over it.
Big guns teams have rarely inflicted a heavy defeat at the Golden Palace and I’ve no doubt tomorrow won’t be the first.
Key battles for me will be Ait-Nouri keeping Salah quiet, Neves and Moutinho keeping Henderson and Firmino out of it…. and finally Raul scaring the shorts off VanDyke and our two wingers pegging back their two full backs.
Have I missed anything..?
I know loads of battles etc but Marcus Aurelius did it in Gladiators….
Raul from the penal spot…
We’ll done Shrewdsimon too for predicting a win…
Adama holds the key M’lud Twixxy.
Yes but does he know which way it turns. Hopefully he will, just to shut me up.
I hope to be in town around 11.30 tomorrow. Will see you in APV pre match or Lupo Lounge post match Steve.
Lupo lounge Steve…
We’re stopping in the Novotel…..
do you want Klopp’s autograph…?
Meal at the Lupo Lounge tomorrow evening Mike. I am staying at The Larches. I have a prezzie for you too.
Amazing.. have you seen my Xmas list ….lol
Will try to pop in buddy. But Lupo Lounge for sure.
And Balsall Heathen too …. Looks like a win is getting a distinct possibility…

Think I will hide behind the sofa for his one. This could be the day that our defence let’s us down. Can’t see us scoring more than one but hope springs eternal so will go for a cheeky draw.
We’ll give as good as we get in the first half, miss chances, and then they’ll get a stuffy goal. Same again second half. Unfortunately, at the moment, their final ball and finishing is superior. Doesn’t stop me disliking their supporters though.
Can Saiss stop Salah ? Can anyone stop him at the moment ?
Hope Traore plays a blinder
Yes- but illegally, resulting in 1 or 2 pens.
Agree- but Bruno has a major job in lifting Adama’s spirits, his head had dropped on Wednesday.
Best form of defence is attack, hope we are not overawed and give them a game and a major fright.
Hopefully we will press them because if you let them take control then we are doomed.we all know we can play if we believe in ourselves, Traore must start and with Neves back in midfield you never know. One thing is for certain if we take our chances and limit theirs we could get at least a point, They are the only team in the top six we haven’t beat. If we play like we did against The Hammers we can get a result.
Looking forward to the battle.COYW.
Liverpool fan above pretty much summed it up.
But but……..dreaming their high line defence and centre halves playing well apart may, just may, work for Adama or Jiminez if Traore remembers to pass. Anyway everything crossed and hoping for a shock result. They do happen. Liverpool supporting wife away tomorrow which should stop us annoying each other.
We will need to score 2 to get anything out of this game and we seem incapable of doing that at the moment.
I would be delighted with a draw but I suspect that is wishful thinking.
I recall similar doom laden predictions in October 2019 prior to the ‘impossible’ task away to mighty Man City. That day our defensive master plan coupled with Mr Traore finding his accurate shooting boots resulted in a famous 2-0 victory. Who would have thought it? No one. We owe Liverpool a beating for the first time in ages. We are due a couple of goals. It is coming tomorrow. WWFC 2 Liverpool 1.
Perspective Cheesy… perspective…
And you’ve got that in abundance mate……
We’ve certainly got the personnel to blunt their threat…
Our defense to show it’s statistics are not inaccurate! (Nuno said dreaming was for free!) VAR to favour us for a change — a goal for us from the spot! And then hang on! Ait Nouri worries me against Salah, but then if we treat this as a free hit, anything can happen! I said before the last game that Tarore is overdue to not miss from a breakaway but he proved me wrong! This time the odds are definitely in favor of him scoring. Surely he won’t go 0 for 7 in front of the goal!!!
It’s Diogo’s birthday tomorrow. Let’s hope he has a rotten one (from a football perspective only, of course). (I’ve not forgiven Liverpool for taking Alun Evans from us; Diogo’s move was the cherry on top.)
I shall be there (1st time since I didn’t get to use my tickets for Olympiacos (h) and West Ham (a) last year).
Hoping for a good performance and a win (will settle for a draw but won’t predict it). As we have trouble scoring our defence has to be solid and foul-free.
Well, in the pub this afternoon Mrs spikeyboy said in her infinite wisdom that wolves will win tomorrow because when we play teams from the top bit we are good and when we play shit teams we are crap .
So there you have it wolves will win .
So blindingly obvious .
I don’t drive all the way from Wiltshire every home game, spend squillions on hotel and bar bills, sit in the Steve Bull, next to the grumpiest woman in the West Midlands (well actually the PMDG’er sits next to her but I can feel the hate from two seats away), to predict us getting stuffed by one of the best teams the Premier League has seen.
I’ve got this cunning plan.
We go into the loan market tonight and recruit a certain Mr Stearman, Mr Weimann and Mr Costa to reprise their famous Anfield routine from Saturday 28th January 2017.
I remember being in a pub in Melksham that day. Me and the PMDG’er, the only Wolves supporters among a host of Liverpool fans.
Boy! how I leapt into the air when Stears scored in the second minute.
God! how I shouted when Costa broke away and laid the ball off for Weimann to take it round Karius for our second goal.
Oooh! How I bit my nails down to the knuckles as we held out for our win.
Golly! How we scampered off home when the match ended.
Actually we didn’t. The Scouse fans were nothing but congratulatory about our performance. I think one of them even offered to buy us a beer.
But we were already drunk with the feeling of success.
A side, languishing near the bottom of the Championship beating the mighty Reds at Anfield.
It can be done.
Your reenactment of that day is perfect mate…
I wasn’t in the same pub… but was at Anfield to see Stearman and Weimann wrap up a famous victory…
They’re only human … not invincible..
See you tomorrow night mate…
Btw … Are the Brandy’s on you ..?
No, the brandies are IN me!
See you tomorrow.
I was in the ground with Twix and Stu and Bully and Don Goodman and others and we sang and sang and sang and …….. wow what a day.
And you sent me pix!
Yeah, to make you jealous. We can still be seen on YouTube in the concourse at half time.
Thanks for your call tonight, you wuss.
She’s funking nightmare that old bag you sit next to
How dare you call my wife an old bag!
(But you’re right).
Thanks DooGooder – great post. What a difficult act to follow.
Liverpool are irresistible at the moment. But we are hard to beat, and we showed against the Hammers that we can play. A famous upset is a distinct possibility.
However, I’m not brave enough to predict it.
At least we are not likely to be last on MOTD this week playing one of the top three.
Next …
We will if we win.
I’ll be happy if we restrict them to only 3 goals. Their attack is beautiful and unstoppable…
Goals. Goals. Goals. Just not enough for us.
Oh well … if we beat you you’ll just have to buy our players again !!
Beat you we will
Wolves to will and fuck off jota
Wolves to win not will
And still fuck off jota
It’s always darkest just before dawn. Here comes the sun.

I’m trying to be optimistic, but recent draws against two of the bottom sides doesn’t fill me with any confidence that we can beat Liverpool in the form they are in… I’ll be delighted if they do but can’t predict it.
Traore to run rings around them and then play the pass he should have done on Wednesday night
Its one more sleep…..to the Liverpool match. And I will be dreaming of a Wolves win.
If not, I will console myself with some good food and drink and some affable company tomorrow evening.
Also hoping to grab some samosas tomorrow, prematch. The Samosa Saturday stall will be opposite the university building near the subway.
I will be leaving shortly. Hope to be in Wolverhampton around 12.00. What time you leaving for the match Dougster?
Looking at both teams and the dubs and you would not give us a chance. But as I cannot predict a loss I will go for a close win. Can’t see them not scoring though.
Just hope the crowd are more supportive than wednesday. Bruno desperately tried to get them to sing in the second half but after one feeble effort they went back to bring quiet. Where are our away fans who are always amazing and sing non stop.
We don’t score, they can’t stop scoring. It’s a terrifying combination. Only saving grace is our front three could get joy on the break. But I think it’s just a question of how many.
Unable to score against Norwich and Burnley tells me we are not going to score against Liverpool. Them scoring 4 in their last 4 games scares the crap out of me.
I will be optimistic and say we will only lose by 2 goals.
It did strike me that Liverpool have been a bogey team for us far longer than over our recent PL status. On checking it out I found that overall they have won 51% of the all-time games between us and we have won 33%. This supported my memories of wins against them being rare and more often than not by tight margins, memories dominated, I have to admit, by the Alun Evans return 0-6 horror show.
While they have clearly been dominant down the years, 33% is not an insignificant share of the wins. They have been beaten, and sometimes under unexpected short term circumstances. Neither should we forget that while we were winning the top flight championship in the late fifties, they were in the second division. While we were beating Manutd 4-0 they were losing 5-0 at Huddersfield. While we were w inning 2-0 at Sunderland, they were losing 1-6 at Cardiff , again in Division 2.
The conclusion, I suppose, is that although one team can dominate another in the longer term, so long as football continues to be played between two teams of eleven, in any one match both teams have a chance. We should not perhaps forget that in the season they lost to Huddersfield they were also knocked out of the FA Cup at home in the third round by Worcester City. So, while they are clearly favourites for Saturday we should remember that if favourites won all the time, bookmakers would not have a business. So I’m going to go for an upset – stranger things happen. Ruben to be back to his brilliant best, Raul to get back on the score sheet, Hwang to open his eye for a goal and JK this time has to swallow a minor setback.

Not going to be a goal fest for WW
Praying for us to be in top form and get some overdue luck – ref, lucky bounce, VAR, Liverpool injuries and red card… we may need all of the above
Someone said Adama holds the key but doesn’t know which way to turn it. Others say Adama is the key and if we play him the world is our oyster. Neither of the options work somehow and I very much doubt that Mr Klopp will grant him his wish either.
If we can muster up a performance like we did against the Hammers we might keep the scoreline less than embarrassing but can’t imagine how we could score enough goals to win this one, best we can hope for is that it will lower our expectations for the next two fixtures.
Wolves 0 – 3 Liverpool
Well, we’ve got no players so the team picks itself.
We can’t score. Liverpool can’t stop scoring.
We played much better against Burnley than we did at Norwich.
Best we can hope for is another 0-0. Unlikely though.
Sadly I can’t see a win here as we simply just do not score enough goals. So I’ll go for a draw, I refuse to predict a loss even though it’s the most likely outcome.
COYW
Dreading the game to be honest but slight hope that we perform better when teams let us play. They won’t double up on anyway but I would not be against playing 5-3-2
Would love to see a Wolves win but just don’t think we’ve got the firepower at the moment
Come on Wolves, time for it all to come together with a fighting performance, dig in and sneak a hard fought win!
I live here. It is my works Christmas meal. I am meeting all the liverpool fans from work in a really – “not so nice” public house… I have my Wolves Christmas jumper for the night. Please, Please, Please send me your best wishes…
Icing would be to spend the night drinking talking about how we seen off the mighty pool at the Mol – I mean we are all sensible… and know how this is going to go. But we May Hope!
A picture of you in your Wolves jumper please mate.
And best wishes!
yes all the best mate
After two nil nils against the bottom two it would be typical if we were to score today. They’ll probably get two or three and take the points but I want to see us attack Liverpool and really try to cause them some problems.
I fear it’s pants down spanking time. Sa will have to play a blinder, and for us to have the luck of the devil
Can guarantee Jota will score.
If we nick a draw I’d be over the moon.
I’m ready for are usual barnstorming performance against liverpool followed by a inexplicable mistake either by one of our players or the officials that lets liverpool score against the run of play and then the floodgates to open.
But that said I can remember watching us do over Man City the cup game against Man Utd, the wins at spurs and Chelsea, and can’t help feeling we’re overdue that kind of performance.
Traore and jiminez to combine like they used to a purring Neves and Moutinho combination in the engine room, and Coady and co rock solid at the back. I can dream!
Brighton got a 2-2 draw at Anfield the other week after being 2-0 down by 25 mins. They have scored 1 more goal than us. Liverpool are not infallible.
I hope Thomas is asleep at the wheel today. Come about 4.50pm today I will post my devastatingly accurate score prediction in an effort to avoid relegation from the Prediction League.
I know I’ve predicted a 1-3 loss above, but I’ve been tempted by great odds against a Wolves win today by BetVictor. I think we will lose but I’ve bet money we will win. Irish, or what?
The odds over-rate Liverpool’s chances.
I’ve done the same dances , couldn’t resist a cheeky bet with traore starting and podence on the bench
Come on you wolves
Please don’t let it be a rugby score. Although unlike Everton, I can’t see any of our number leaving after 30 mins
Totally bummed
Not sure why I love this shit game
Why didn’t we run down the cock in
Last 2 minutes?
Ah well
We can dismantle them at Anfiekd
Fairy dust only lasted 93 minutes
Sorry
Clock
Don’t know where 5 mins added time came from. 3 at most.
.
It was going so well… God damn it!!
