Victory at Everton saw Wolves surpass their final points tally (45) from last season.
Can they chase down the 59 they achieved in 2019/20? They’ll probably need 60 minimum to have any chance of European football.

With the 4th best away record in the league and the 10th best home record, it’s clear where we need to improve and that starts on Friday.
Leeds, Villa, Brighton, Man City and Norwich are left to play at Molineux and 10 points should be the aim if we are – using Bruno’s words – to do something special.
Leeds
I don’t think Leeds are going down. There are enough winnable fixtures remaining and there’s enough in this team to get those victories.
Personally, I would have kept Bielsa and seen it through to the end, but you can understand why they pulled the trigger given the heavy scorelines in some of those final defeats.

Norwich were seen off last weekend in typical Leeds style, conceding an equaliser in injury time and then going up the other end to win it with the last kick of the game.
Raphinha was instrumental in that dramatic victory and he is their outstanding player and top scorer this season with 9 goals.
Patrick Bamford returned last weekend and Kalvin Phillips is close to fitness again after a lengthy spell out. Those two players are big difference makers.
Wolves
As usual, the question is whether Bruno goes with three bonafide attackers or uses Dendoncker to bolster the midfield.

If he does go with the three, Trincao might get a rare start assuming neither Hwang or Neto have recovered from their respective injuries.
Ait-Nouri and Marcal have been interchangeable in recent weeks, so that’s another key decision with the two offering different things when selected.
I thought Marcal was good at Everton and has generally proven himself a capable Premier League player when selected. With his contract up in the summer though and Jonny getting back up to speed, he might well be heading for the exit.
Speaking of Jonny, he’s been outstanding. What he gives us in possession shouldn’t be underestimated. I feared the worst when Semedo got injured, but in many respects, Jonny has improved us with his clever positioning and distribution.
Last time out
Leeds got a late equaliser at Elland Road earlier in the season, with Rodrigo converting from the spot in the 94th minute after Semedo felled the impressive Joe Gelhardt. Wolves couldn’t live with the youngster after he emerged from the bench and he’ll be one to watch again tomorrow.

Wolves won both matches last season by the odd goal with Adama Traore proving the difference at Molineux. His excellent run and shot saw the ball rebound off the bar, hit the keeper and bounce in to give Wolves a priceless three points.
Predictions
Well done to MILDENHALL WOLF, James Fisher Wolf, vicsmith and Ash K for all correctly predicting the scoreline against Everton.
Brompton Wolf is clear at the top of the overall table at the end of Gameweek 29.

Up The Wolves!
Polite request – when commenting in the preview article after the game has finished, can you not place score predictions in the boxes, please? It confuses the system. Many thanks.

We should edge it based on their inability to keep a cleansheet, but I don’t know enough about what Jesse Marsch is doing with their team to form a concrete idea about how the game will unfold.
I still think the sides that press us high and don’t allow our defenders to feed the ball into Moutinho and Neves to serve, have the greatest success. You’d expect Leeds to come with intensity and make life difficult in that respect, but we’ll see.
Raul has six goals this season and we really need him to fire in the final stretch to give us the edge. If he was to make it into double figures by the end, I’d mark that down as a good achievement given what he’s had to contend with in the last year. I think he might prove the difference tomorrow.
.
Leeds should be beaten
Easy win,
If we want europea football we have to beat exams like Leeds 2-0 to the Wolves.
Hope you’re right Dek
COMBs!
That should be european and teams
We appear to be on a good path currently and another 3 points going into the International break would be just what the doctor ordered.
I can see one hell of an aatmosphere happening tomorrow evening and it being an all round good weekend.
Leeds are still a bit of an unknown since Bielsa was axed. They looked good against, albeit a poor Norwich last time out. They should have been out of sight by half time and that last minute winner will have given them some belief.
We should expect to do the business but as I need to catch up some points in the Prediction League and everyone seems to be going for a win, I’m risking predicting a draw this time out.
We still aspire for European football, and there is a slight chance that Chelsea could be banned from Europe next season, meaning fifth spot could bring CL football. Fifth may be too far, but sixth is definitely on the cards.I
I have always had a very high opinion of Willy Boly, and it shows the strength of our defense that now he is fit, he cannot make the team. His one recent performance was awesome and flawless.
Trincao flatters to deceive and I have written him off. No end product, no goals and no assists! No future with us next year!
Assume the New Manager of Leeds will make changes to their style of play but on paper we should have too much for them. Must win this game of We are serious about Europe!
3 on the Spin would offset the losses inflicted by Arsenal and WHU
I think we are good enough for the win , Leeds still finding their rhythm with the new bloke
Brighton could have done us a favour last night and got something or everything offa Spuds. True to any team with ‘Albion’ in the name, they managed to screw that up.
Its up to us then to dispatch a bucket -less Leeds, cement some Euro credentials and improve our goal difference.
Sure Jesse Marsch celebrated his first win in English footy with a last minute winner over the Canaries as if it were a cup final, and we need to bring him back down to Earth with a big home win. Hopefully we have dropped our Nuno era habit of struggling against the bottom six and a consistant performance will ensure the points.
With the sheds rocking and the rest of the nation cheering us on, (everyone hates Leeds), St Bruno delivers a tactical masterclass and we get the job done.
1 lv & COYW
A lot depends on the availability and fitness of their long term absences. They’re a different proposition with Bamford and Phillips in the team. Even if they do play there will probably be some ring rust.
We have enough options to put out a team capable of winning although I’d rather Neto was in contention. Despite his “goal” a couple of weeks ago I don’t think Hwang has shown his early season form for a while and I’m struggling to see the point of Trincao.
Think better to play 3 in midfield as Leeds are weak there at the moment gives us plenty of options from the bench
At the risk of inflaming Balsall Heathen Wolves’ homo-erotic fantasies, I trust in Bruno to pick the right team from what’s available.
Do any of us know how bad the injuries are? Or how long the likes of Semedo will be out?
He clearly isn’t happy with some of his players so fingers crossed he pulls this one off*
* Another little innuendo to get you going, Balsall ;0)
A bloggers gotta get his kicks somewhere WTF.
It will be interesting to see what tactics Leeds employ, in Raphinho they have a matchwinner and I would expect a high pressing game from them. Keep five in midfield, wear them down and run out comfortable 2 nil winners. Jonny and Raul to score. Trincao is unconvincing and I would prefer Fabio or Cundle as subs.
With West Ham meeting Spurs on Sunday, this is a opportunity to put the pressure on and hopefully one we’ll take. Also, it would be nice for Villa to do us a favour, but don’t bank on it.
Let’s keep the positive trajectory going!
Potential banana skin, play 3 in midfield, no easy games in prem, wolves aie we.
Gotta keep the goals coming in and hoping the boys score a brace to further boost our confidence.
Bruno-ball meets murder-ball. But Leeds presumably don’t call it murder-ball any longer after Biesla was knifed. It was more like an Ides of March moment for Biesla. A very Shakespearean tragedy after he rescued them. It might be fanciful to think that one of these great old clubs, Everton or Leeds, might go down this season, but I think the bottom three’s fate is already sealed. That said, I don’t want any glimmer of hope for Leeds against us tomorrow. I reckon my default win of 2-1 for us still holds good.
I’m unsurprised to hear from my local club Chelsea today that season ticket renewals have been ‘paused’. I always wait till the last minute anyway, so I hadn’t renewed. I have friends who had renewed and are now a bit nervy in case it all goes pear shaped. There is an off chance of disciplinary action from the PL and other football authorities as Chelsea are not in a position to pay debts, including money owed on transfers. Hmm. In theory, a points deduction and/or relegation are extreme possibilities, as is a ban on European football next season. Should we finish 7th to 8th this could be very interesting.
CLOSING DOWN SALE AT CHELSEA FC
EVERYTHING MOSCOW
Leeds at Molineux, under lights, cracking atmosphere, takes me back to November 23rd 2017 .
The PMDG’er and I were staying in The Premier Inn and enjoyed a pint with about sixty Leeds fans who swore blind they were going to tonk us… Oh dearie me!
Well, it was certainly a tonking.
4-1
Followed by another three days later against Bolton.
5-1, including an assist from John Ruddy.
We certainly knew how to score goals in those days.
I’ll be happy with three tomorrow.
And the Bolton match was a correct prediction for me, finally!!
This won’t be dull
A hat trick for the Young Prince?
Wolves are well capable of winning this one, need a good Ref, if not it’s touch and go.
If we want to get into Europe we have to win these games. I think it will be nervy and tight but we’ll just do it.
.
WOLVES TO WIN 2-1.
We all hate Loids
I hope we can get the win 2-1 against an improving Leeds whose injured stars are returning. Should be an attractive game.
I hope the new Leeds manager sits on an old paint bucket like Marcello Bielsa. If i was the Leeds owner I would certainly have it high on the agenda. Never mind playing 3-5-2 or
3-4-3 . My first question would be ” Do you sit on an old paint bucket during the game?”. I shall be observing the Leeds dugout with interest . I should imagine with this new geezer being a Yank he probably sits on a scale model of the statue of Liberty or something. Or a pile of Clint Eastwood’s spaghetti western style hats. I will be extremely fed up if there are no paint buckets, hats or scale models of the statue of liberty. Having said all that. It won’t make any difference at all to the result. The footy on show by WWFC will have the Leeds team and their abundance of man bun hair cuts all over the shop. Luke Ayling might as well be Luke Goss out of Bross such will be the level of incompetence on display. In fact Leeds might as well play Bross in defence. At least they could try and put Raul and Hwang off by singing “When will i. Will i be famous ” ? But to no avail. Not even shit like that can put WWFC off. A comfortable 3-0 win rounds off proceedings. Aftervthe game Raul said ” Anyone who attempts to put me off by playing Bross in the back four will fail. And it was a fucking shit tune anyway “. Luke Ayling said ” I suppose playing 1980’s pop stars in you defence could come unstuck. I think next week we should play Kate Bush as sweeper”. WWFC 3 Leeds 0.
Tis a brave man indeed who sits on anything shaped like the Statue of Liberty.
Yes well thinking about it . Could be a bit tricky.
Wife and I sat down to look at the family finances. We’ve done the maths; our options are buy a tank of diesel or Chelsea Football Club.
If football were symmetry, 3 losses should be followed up with 3 wins, so I’m going for a win v Leeds. However, as already pointed out, we all know by now there are no easy games in the premier league.
UTW
lots of rest and booze and sunshine has brought me to conclusion that we will stuff filthy leeds.
I have no doubts whatsoever as i have done much meditating under the influence of bob marley music and rum.
I think someone should tell the jamaicans that there is other music available
Wolves have too much in the tank for this lot just need to watch the over the top balls.
Back to the sunbed.
I like it!!
Who doesn’t?
When are you planning on coming over mate? I am sure you would like meeting up with the other Bloggers. We can host a mean party.
Or better yet, all y’all bloggers come over here to Clive Towers for the Wolves summer tour.
You will be fine, Brompto, we got plenty of room for tents!
Unfortunately… ‘Towers’ is a registered brand name in ‘TWIXFIX Towers’ and therefore you are unable to use this word without express permission from his Lordship….
Do you want to settle this privately with a large donation to Lord Twix Management foundation..?
Worried that they have good players coming back but still hoping we can win it.
It will be tight because this is the business end of the season, the last lap of a mile race, the bell is ringing and there’s jostling for places, the first three get on the podium, consolation prizes for the next four and you don’t want to be in the last three places. The first eight have a 10 second gap but things can change.
Back in the real world, Leeds need the points and so do we for different reasons, so don’t be surprised by a draw .
Yep! Bamford and more coming back so 1-1 for me too BG.
Back to back 1-0 wins and another clean sheet to add to Sa’s collection
Two fired up teams. One desperate to avoid relegation. One desperate to qualify for Europe. This is unlikely to be a pretty affair with a draw a likely outcome.
Feeling good about this one. Although (looking at my position on the table) this normally means we lose… So I’ll predict a draw instead.
We have the ability to win this one but with our inconsistency and their returning players it could be another slip up.
Wolves to win 2 – 1
Leeds are better than their position implies. If the Wolves team that turned out for Crystal Palace turn up here then we are in trouble. But… we should be turning over teams like Leeds. I very uncertain.
Another 3pts and a Europe push, particularly since we all hate Leeds
Being positive and hoping it doesn’t backfire.
Podence- jimmy- kilman- Neto
Come on you wolves
We need to win this for 2 reasons.
1. We need the points
2. Stop my Leeds supporting newsagent taking the piss on Saturday morning.
Seriously we surely have enough in the team to see off Leeds.
Another for goal-machine Coady, with a Neves net-breaker and a Fabio scuff to seal the deal…
You’ll need Fabio to practice his scuffing then…
If we continue with our current form we will be too good for them.
I understand there is a special music and light show thirty minutes before kick off. Hopefully, the match will take it’s cue from that and will crackle and sparkle.
Wolves to make it three on the bounce, ahead of the international break.
Dirty Leeds
Ben, if you read this before you see your Dad at the match tonight, ask him about the time he lost it in front of ten thousand rabid Leeds fans, in Huddersfield, and the manic tattooed Leeds fan who saved our lives.
Staying in Derby tonight. Just got here. See some of you later. Will be in APV around 6pm. Expect us to continue winning so:
Wolves win.
We’ve had some fantastic away days this season, but not many like that at home.
More of Watford would be great – attack from the start and press high, please.
Should be a great atmosphere under the lights. Come on!
Both teams will be up for this. Think it will be tough – hope the defence are on point.
Slightly concerned about this one, not least because when I go to watch us at home we don’t tend to win! We have to be putting teams like this to the sword though, regardless of the new manager. Before the win against a poor Norwich team they were getting spanked week in, week out. I don’t expect it to be easy, it rarely is at Molineux.
Wolves 2 Leeds 0
I’m pretty confident about this one I think we’ll get the job done
Must win (and as I’m not going to be there, we will).
But I’m not complacent, and it won’t be easy (at least not the first half), and it’s the hope ……
We’re not coming to this one …. Thanks to the polar axes of a Paul Jones/Manfred Mann concert getting postponed and Lady Twix messing up on the dates….
That said … a night drinking from 5:30… meal in the local boooozer… and then the onslaught of the mighty Wolves hammering those Dirty LEEDS bastards is something to be savoured.. along with the Filet Steak …
Dougie .. bless him.. just sent a text starting with..’doo wah diddy…’ .. not to be tonight but 54321 might be appropriate…
After two disappointing results the team has bounced back with two good wins and we now have a great chance of breaking our premier league points record. Whether or not that’s enough for Europe remains to be seen but it’s a testament to the job Bruno has done.
Fancy us tonight
Hard to know what kind of Leeds we’ll see with a new man at the helm, but whichever shows up, they’ll be going home empty handed.
Having consumed a few jars i am revising my prediction.
You?
Consuming alcohol?
Never!
Don’t believe it for a minute.
That is just silly. WOLVES 893 LEEDS 5.
Leeds need the points but they also needed a point from their last game to become champions in 1972….
Same result.
I nose its bin asked loads of times but looking for a good streaming site guys.
Still hate loids
Christ, now I’m worried. Not one of us thinks Leeds will win! Not one!!
Try
http://cricfree.live/live/epl-1
Thanks matey.
Appreciate that
I don’t like Billy Bremner, Cherry, Lorimer, Clarke etc. And as for that Don Revie…..
Loids o jonny Rotten 1
Wolves 2 loids 0
Its like a warzone. They’re dropping like flies.
If ever you need proof of corruption then this is it. Never a red card EVER at Anfield. Or Stamford Bridge etc. But little old Wolves off you trot. Can’t have you interfering with the BIG FUCKING SIX can we.
Well that didn’t go according to plan. Seriously fuct up. Good luck with the analysis, tara Europe. Football is a collective madness born out of boredom and ignorance, but then look at Horseracing, Cricket and fkin Golf. Glad I’ve got an allotment.
There must have been some sinister karmic alignment to account for that second half.
In fact it never happened.
Hello Mary Jane, I love you.
COYW.
Wtf. Will comment when I get home tomorrow.
I will say the Refs i saw in the Europa league were a refreshing change from the utter garbage in the Prem. Where they know the ‘big six’ and are on first name terms with them. It’s bollocks.
Red card.?….never!
2nd goal sa just completely lost his head
3rd goal….Leeds were going hammer and tong at us.
Wouldn’t have ever seen that coming.
Look, we’re not quite ready for Europe and won’t be until we have a bigger squad.
It overstretched us last time and would be worse this time.
Onwards and upwards
