Although they’re three wins away from mathematical certainty I think Wolves are already close to meeting the top two requirement.
Many believe Fulham will win all of their remaining fixtures, but I fancy them to slip up once or twice.
Either way, with victory over Middlesbrough and a favourable run-in after Friday’s showdown at Cardiff, the target should be 100 points.
The battle of Boro will have taken it’s toll, so this one may not be the formality the league table suggests.
Hull
The Tigers further derailed Aston Villa’s promotion hopes on Saturday in a tedious stalemate at the KCOM Stadium.
But it was a useful point for Nigel Adkins’ side to put them on 40, 6 above the relegation zone after others at the bottom also collected positive results.
Their away form is wretched with 11 defeats from their 19 games and just 3 wins. They may need to improve their average return in April to avoid the drop.
Abel Hernandez is back after a long spell out with an injury he picked up in the reverse fixture back in August. They’ll be looking to him to fire them to safety.
Jarrod Bowen has made a few headlines too this season and he’s definitely another to watch. At the back, they’re still leaning on the experience of Michael Dawson.
Wolves
You could argue that Matt Doherty’s suspension is more of a blow than Ruben Neves’, given that we don’t have a like-for-like replacement.

Nuno could bring in Vinagre down the right or play him left side and switch Douglas over. Or he could move Bennett out to wing-back and bring in Batth, Miranda or Hause. He put Gibbs-White there for the final minutes against Boro so that could be another solution.
Although we’ll miss Neves I was happy enough with Saiss and N’Diaye against Leeds in a game Wolves totally dominated. There’s no reason they can’t do it again.
Helder Costa has discovered a bit of end product lately so hopefully he, along with Benik and Cav can overwhelm a porous Hull defence.
Predictions
Even with their exertions at the Riverside on Friday and the players missing through suspension, Wolves should have too much for Hull.
They played their game a day later too, which is to our advantage. I doubt we’ll have it as easy as the last two home wins, but I expect victory.
2-0.
Up The Wolves!

So it continues……..After the herculean efforts at “The battle of the ‘Boro” we can hopefully expect something a little less demanding with the visit of Hull.
They are still battling to stay in this division so expect them to prove a stern test for us. We have the means and I am going
for a win here.
Interesting who will play at right wing back, I know that Phil Ofosu-Ayeh has had a few games but think this may be a bit early to see him……but you never know!
🙂
Boro with 9 men was massive – a difficult enough match as it was. I can’t see Hull causing us many problems. Neves and Doc suspensions allow someone else to come in and stake a claim.
Wolves to win, if we have aspirations of Premier League football we should never lose these sort of games #UTW?
After the battle of the riverside and losing 2 players got this game I hope that it didn’t take too much out of the rest of the squad. I think it will be a struggle but we will sneak a 1-0 victory
A minutes silence please for the demise of one of the greatest Managers ever to dis-grace the hovel that is the poorthorns. A true genius has left the rat hole.
On to a proper team and Wolves go marching on from the Spartan exertions at Boro. I don’t see Nigel Atkins boys pushing us too hard, even after their stroll against villa, who obviously blew their head-gasket to overcome us and look like they’ll be lucky to stay in the play-off’s. I hope that self destructive victory will keep em happy when they kick off against the albion next season.
Anyway, I liked that Hull striker the other night, but he’s against our back three this time…and will Mike Dawson have recovered enough to deny Costa and Cav?
I don’t think so….
UTW
Great result against Boro and the outstanding officials. I have always been a fan of Don Goodman, perhaps he’s been out the game too long to remember how passion and events of the match can sometimes get the better of you. I didn’t watch or hear his his full commentary where he had a dig at Nuno but hopefully he is bright enough to see the connection between the atrocious officiating which led to the rush of blood for several players. Nuno is going to be wanted by many after this seasons heroics which will continue tomorrow night when Hull visit and some of the fringe players get a shout
Agree the team you have listed with the exception of swapping over Douglas and Vinagre. I hope Gibbs White is not picked as he is still too lightweight, and I would be worried about him as a defender.
I cant see Wolves wanting to let this one slip, particularly after the enormous effort at Middlesbrough. So I foresee a Wolves win by at least two clear goals.
The break could be good for Nevas and Doherty,it could see them sharp for the Cardiff game on Friday.
UTW
It’s a chance for a couple of the squad players to stretch their legs for 90 minutes; or at least until they are subbed late on? I expect to see MGW getting a bit more time than normal; would be great to see the lad get on the score sheet too. We may be little tired from our last run out , emotionally and phsically; that said we should be good enough to take all 3 points. And then on to Cardiff; what a humdinger that’s going to be.
Agree that is the strongest available line up (be interesting to see who will make the subs bench )
I think we’ll win but not at a canter
Just hope that the Boro game hasn’t taken ifs toll on the players ,magnificent as it was you just know that the Cardiff game is going to be the Battle of all Battles, and we need to come out of this game disciplined, injury free.
For my point of view, I hope we get a couple of quick goals like Friday evenings game, then bring on three sets of fresh legs and rest the tired ones as soon as possible during the game. Neves gets a rest and Doherty gets a well earned rest so that’s a bonus. Then if we can rest the right 3 players during the game that will be 5 rested, because the 9 that played their bodies into the ground (Saiss & Costa) deserve every plaudit they earned that night.
This is one match I cannot make due to a date with the surgeons knife for a minor repair, it’s a late afternoon op, so I’m buggered for the game, but at least I should be up and shouting for Cardiff (thanks to Twixfix who will drive taking the pressure off me) if I’m going to miss a game, this is the one where I hope we are safe for three points.
Wolves 3-0 Hull for me, almost a sell out as of yesterday there were only 350 ish seats left, so I don’t feel I’m neglecting my 12th man duties as there will be enough of you there shouting from the rafters.
COMBambinos. Make it 2 games to the PL.
Hiya Stu,
I think you’re allowed Tuesday night off but only if you’ve filled in a form for a pass out!
Get well soon for Friday to give them there welsh cloggers some serious shite
ATB & UTW
100 lines to be handed to me on Friday
” I must not miss a game under ANY circumstances”
Take the pressure off where? ….oh sorry yes ….your ASS…
It will be a pleasure with you and Jen onboard the love train to Cardiff…. you’d better be there mate… looking forward to it…
You are missing the match for a little circumcision job?
You wimp.
When I was a lad, I had both legs and my neck amputated and I still made it to the Tiger, for a few pints, a pre match punch up and then down the station to give the opponents a good send off.
You young wappersnippers don’t know you are born!!
I’m part Jewish so that’s a waste of time. The other part is Scottish, so so
D that stuff when I needed lucky bags.
That did read “sold that stuff” right up until the second I pressed send.
All the best for tomorrow Stu. Catch up with you on the 28th, if not before.
All the best Stu
Hope it all goes well
BOG
I think Don Goodman ‘damning’ of Nuno’s post match behaviour has been blown up out of all proportion by newspapers and rubbish online sites that will write any tosh to attract readership.
He had an opinion and expressed it. Simple.
I happen to disagree with him in this instance, Nuno was in full ‘passion’ mode and it was great to see for a Wolves fan.
When your team has just put in a performance like that you deserve to let your hair(?) down.
Sod the niceties. Save them for later.
The Stan Collymore comments are completely different and deserve to be shoved firmly up his own rectum. What is that man on?
Hull will be a challenge and won’t roll over but, if we have any aspirations to be a Premier League side (and I think we do), we have to see off these sorts of challenges (and I think we will).
With something to spare.
And this afternoon I shall turn, very briefly, into a Sheffield Utd fan.
Cardiff scored in extra time and rescued a point. Middlesbrough failed and played 1-1 against little Burton. I’m hoping Millwall conquers Boros place in the play-offs. Today Saville scored again for them and Ben Marshall got an assist. Wallace did also play.
Yeh. Collymore’s so credible isn’t he? With what authority can he accuse anyone of lacking class following his own so classy dogging publicity?
Complete twat!
Pre ‘Boro Nuno was asked about Jota and indicated he might be fit for ‘the next one’ i.e. Hull.
If so, it would open up the possibility of playing Cav at RWB. (I think he had a short spell as a WB in one of our previous home games after several subs/injuries). Not convinced Douglas or Vinagre can play on the right, Bennett doesn’t give us much going forward, MGW a little lightweight, Rasmussen inexperienced…all this equates to a problem.
Would like to see Leo back in to give us the continuity we lack when he doesn’t play. I don’t care if he never scores again, he brings others into the game who do score.
I guess with our GD 2 wins and 2 draws should be enough – lets start that with Hull.
I thought hull were excellent against villa . That Hernandez is a fabulous striker and we need to keep him at bay for a good thirty mins and we should be ok . As good as he is , he is not match fit
I think this is a draw and we rise again at Cardiff
One of the most overrated, Under qualified managers, ever to spoil football. With a huge Ego to boot, step up big Mick and Clipboard.
https://mobile.twitter.com/stuartalves1/status/980797200266653696
Stu,
I think that’s a little unfair!
Partjew & Sandwell were well matched & it’s always sad to see a professional manager & football club having such a hard time!
I also truely hope that their stand-in assistance manager “big Dave” can be just as successful as our old “big Clipboard” when he took over from mad Mick
Go on Albion see if you can stay on your current run for the remaining games.
Hi Stu
I think one pf the group dining together on the night of April 28 may have already hinted to you that I’m struggling to get 3 tix for the match
Website lets me choose 3 of the remaining ones in J10 then tells me I can’t complete transaction
I’m getting up at 2 am to call them ie the ticket office to beg
aargh
Marin.
Twix and I are both trying our bestest to help you out, please, please keep in tounch with your progress. Both Twix and I are out of commission for this one as we are in Cardiff over night due to the importance of this game.
I have been approached already by guys off the blog, but unless you are members or Young Wolves or such your screwef until general sale on Saturday, in saying that, they did both manage to get one.
Mike and I will discuss it Friday, I believe he has your e-mail address, so we will have a clearer picture on Friday, then if there are any left, we can get someone to queue at Molineux for you on Saturday morning.
I would suggest that you look at the North Bank Upper, NU6 / NU7, the view there is out of this World and they tend to be the last one’s sold. People think your tucked away in the corner, but I go there when I have to swap seats for when i take the grandkids, and believe me, it’s a great view.
Twix and I will do our best, but keep in touch.
IF ANY BLOGGERS USUALLY GOING, CAN’T MAKE THE SHEFF WED GAME, CAN YOU HELP OUT……….
Thanks Stu
Its 2.45 am here. The ticket site shows that there are around 900 unsold in the North Bank lower corner and over 600 in the Upper section that you recommend.
But no news yet as to when they go on general sale.
Sigh
Marin.
Oh my god, so sorry mate, forgot that bit.
(General sale is Saturday 9am), but as there is no match on Saturday it may be 10 am. They open the ticket off pice early on match days, but we are playing Friday so it may be 10am.
I will go in to the ticket office tomorrow if I’m fit, (just had a minor op today) but feeling pretty good all things considering.
I will ask if they can put me 3 up to be collected Saturday, (worth a try given your circumstances)
What’s your full name and what region are you in the US, also ages of the 3 people hoping to attend. I’ve got some decent mates in the ticket office, it’s worth a go, but you keep trying anyway, we can always get rid of tickets if we get too many.

Stu,
Sasha really? I though you only used Sasha on a Saturday night out!
Hmmmmmm.
I used her for all manner of things, could fill a book with SASHA, perhaps may one day.
Whenever I see emails like that I try to work out what they mean, the puzzle junkie in me. Let me have a stab, I think it’s an acronym for Stafford and Stoke Health Authority, or am I off the track
Staffordshire Ambulance Staff Humanitarian Aid.
My own charity I started in 1998 which ran until 2010, by then I had donated £8.5 Million in Ambulances and medical/hospital equipment to Bulgaria and the Balkans.
Not bad for a hairy arsed Paramedic, Wolves fan.
Well done, brilliant……..apart from the hairy arse, you just put me off my lunch!
Stu,
Sometimes I manage to place both feet in my mouth at the same time.
But you my man have just raised the bar to infinity & beyond.
I knew you were good but that just blew my mind.
Total respect Stu/Sasha
Another reason to be proud to be a collective of Wolves fans.
I owe you a pint in Sunderland.
Every time I’ve seen Vinagre play my impressions were good so I’d be more than happy to see him start. Adkins is a good manager so Hull will be well briefed on what to do, but i can’t see them having enough to win.
A chance to widen the gap today.
Go Wolves!
Wolves to keep it going imo.we will miss Neves & Doc but will still have enough to collectb the 3 points.
UTW.
Afobe x2 and Costa, love seeing Helder back on form
I feel this one will be tougher than we might have originally thought. With Ruben and Matt out and doubts over Helder and Romaine, and Diogo’s chances slim to say the least, this could be the most changed side we will have played all season. We do have some quality in reserve though and they deserve their time in the spotlight.
Whichever side we play, we have enough to gain the three points and I quite look forward to seeing the likes of Vinagre and Gibbs White given a decent run out. Still buzzing from Friday’s game so I would imagine the watching crowd won’t need much encouragement to give the team full, max decibel backing.
Agreed Wstroker
A tough game with Hull seemingly picking up against our depleted knackered side, but hope we can still do the business, so we don’t go to Cardiff under pressure. Cav to score.
COMBs!
As has been stated before by a few posters, if we want to be Premier, we must blow teams like Hull out of the water convincingly. No ifs or buts. Nothing less than a resounding win to give us even more confidence going into the ‘big one’ against Cardiff. ..COYW.
Sheffield to put the boot into Cardiff tonight. Hull to cause our much changed team a few problems too. Id be especially concerned not to see Costa or a returning Jota on the teamsheet though what about a goal or two for Afobe or Bonatini.
Then it’s onto Friday where our hero’s show again our championship mettle.
Think we will still have more than enough with injuries and suspensions. Another 3 points towards the promised land. COYW.
Looking forward to this …
Not a guaranteed 3 points but one that, give our style of play, should be sufficient to take care of Hull.
I’m sure Nuno will give the plenty of thought to the line up and I for one couldn’t second guess his plans.
This is strange for Mrs Twix and myself as we haven’t seen Wolves since mid Feb. . (QPR at Home)…so I’m hoping not to get lost on the way to the Golden Palace.
We’ll be trying to bump into the Bedford mob for a drink at the Thai and well …I just can’t wait….
I really think that a win tomorrow and a result at Cardiff will see us over the line … excited … you bet…
How very dare you!
I think ‘gang’ befits us better and is a more apt description than ‘mob’.
Mind you you have met us so maybe you are right! 😉
If you do join up with us tonight at the Thai (or in the NBB) prior to the game you will have the privilege of meeting my eldest son who is over from Dubai for Easter and is able to come to the match tonight – his first since Charlton away on 28 December 2015.
By the way still looking for a ticket for Sheff Wed game myself for Mrs BW……………….
OODCL
A loss at Cardiff will have as much bearing on us as the Villa loss did.
The important three points are tomorrow.
As long as we finish in the top two we will achieve our aim….promotion.
Next season, Colin will be found out big time.
We, on the other foot, will still be getting betterer and betterer, creaming all before us on our inevitable way to Champion’s League glory.
I went to Hull once, on Big Mark Davies’s 40th birthday, ( fuck me, that was half a century ago) and we won 2-0 if memory serves.
All of which has sod all to do with tomorrow night’s game, but I do like to hear myself type.
Easy win, routine, and at the time of going to press, Sheff Utd haven’t started their demolition of Cardiff…..yet!
If Cardiff lose, and we win, how about a nice 9 point cushion going to Europe on Friday??!!
FOwb
It really is true about this League there are no easy games Hull held Villa at home and every point is crucial to them so they will be looking to a least come away with a point.
Matt and Nerves are a big miss in fact I cannot choose between them who is the most irreplaceable they have been that good in there respective positions.
From now till the end of the season only results matter yes I’d love to see the sexy football we hav been playing but I’m will to sacrifice that if it means wins not that I don’t think we can do both its just winning 3 more games is all that matters……I’m expecting the first one tomorrow .
I do wonder if this, given the exertions of the Boro game and the number of players that may be missing, might be a bit of a low key game for us. Still, it is a squad game and some of our fringe players have done us proud in the past, when called upon.
Looking forward to another midweek trip to Molineux and catching up with some of you prematch in NBB.
So who to play at RWB??? Graham, Ofsu-Ayeh, Gibbs-White, Vinagre or Bennett?? We should have plenty of the ball so I would love to see Graham play but I don’t think Nuno fancies him so I expect him to stick with the tried and trusted so I would imagine it will be Bennett with probably Batth given the chance to rid the demons of his Villa Park performance. If everybody has recovered from the monumental effort against Boro I would expect N’Diaye to come in for Neves as the only other change. I suppose this could be a potential banana skin after Friday but pretty sure Nuno will have the lads fully focused.
Interesting to note that at half time, the Blades are leading Cardiff 1-0 with a goal courtesy of our very own…….Leon Clarke. Such sweet irony.
Kingston Upon Hull – the only town/city without a BT telephone operating system.
City of culture 2017.
The citizens – along with those of Grimsby and other UK towns where there is sone dependency
on deep sea fishing – have every right to be incensed at this Governments shameful sell out on fishing quotas.
Anyway as I write Cardiff are losing 1-0 at half time. Sheffield United have bossed the game since Leon Clarke scored.
Bonatini stopped his scoring spree more or less about the same time as Clarke. If he plays tomorrow maybe a similar outcome?
Wolves to win 2-0.

Nuno likes to keep the same winning team, but with at least two missing he has to use others; he did say earlier in the season that he had two teams playing eleven v eleven in training, all practising the same stuff.
We do have a strong squad and confidence high after Middlesbrough, so we’re sure to add another 3 points towards the championship winning total
An early goal to settle nerves will see us through to an easy’ish victory. Roll on Friday and come on SHeffield. Stears just departed at 68mins. Still 1-0 to the donkey that is Leon.
My eldest son is over from Dubai so is able to make his first Wolves game since we beat Charlton at The Valley in December 2016. If time allows we will pop into the NBB before kick off. His son Stanley, my newest Grandson is being featured in the match day programme too!
Tight game and we will miss Doherty and Neves but we will win.
OODCL
Every game makes me nervous. So desperate to see us go up as champions. Important that we get 3 points, so that if things go wrong on Friday, we will still have a 5. point lead.
Stearman, Leon Clarke, Lee Evans done a fair Job tonight.
Sheff utd draw with Cardiff.
Yes, two points dropped by Cardiff and lucky it wasn’t all three. Colin will be up for it again on Friday though – he’ll thrive on the occasion and have his players wound up like springs. It will be a time for the brave.
Blades totally outplayed Colin’s mugs tonight without having the killer instinct to finish the job.
If we aren’t eleven points clear after the final whistle Friday night I’ll be amazed.
Warnock makes me smile though, he’s revelling in this! He’ll be back to default though on Friday.
UTW
I’m at that point where I don’t have to think about who starts, if we should change our strategy, cus Nuno’s better at this football malarcee that most us lot.
He can play who & where he wants.
Hull are not Flum or Veela so I can’t see anything other than a win, barring poxy fekin refs & Iino’s
I would however like to see a little more passion from our dug-out!!!!!
Come on Nuno ffs tell us how it is………..
Wolves Ay We.
Fekin av it.
Feel that we need to maintain our normal three centre backs and a forward line of Cav Afobe and Costa, that should deliver a goal and a clean sheet. Not bothered about the tinkering with midfield or wing backs all of the options will do a job.
Glad now that Cav went off early on Friday he will be vital tomorrow and don’t expect Costa or Saiss to last more than an hour. Would like to think we can manage the game and restrict our energy levels for use on Friday but suspect that won’t happen.
Have to say I am disgusted at Pullis after match comments suggesting Costa deliberately fell over maybe to get Friend sent off. Wow, we really are uncovering the stench of cynicism and poor sportsmanship in this division.
Flashing alarm bells for me here. Post Borough, 2 key outs, one eye on Cardiff Friday night and a little pressure off due to Cardiff’s draw tonight.
This game will show that Wolves haven’t just the best team, but the best squad. The replacements available to us would fit in any other first team in the Championship. I too hope for a quick couple of goals in the first half, then cruise the last 20 mins or so. Would be interesting to see if POA is at least on the bench. Never heard how he performed in the U23’s . My choice would be to switch Douglas over to the right and Vinagre on left. And forget about saving ourselves for Friday night. Take the easier 3 points. They are worth just as much as the three points on Friday.
A Wolves win for me too
We’ll win. 2-0.
Put in Phil but have a backup for the second half. By then, the game should be in the bag.
This game should be too much for Hull, if wolves turn up its 3 points in the bag.lets put the hammer down and keep the pressure on the chasing pack- the promised land is in reach now.
2-0 please
meantime have started to swear and sweat over April 28th tix
I need 3 and have no status
trying to buy J10 seats in steve bull…279/280/281
can anyone help please??
not many left
I will get up in middle of night to beg ticket office but have a bad feeling
Normal service will be resumed tonight, it will be like the Battle at Boro didn’t happen.
After the huge effort at Borough this will be down to who is fit and who were carrying knocks. If we just lose Matt and Neves we should have enough to take the points but if any more are rested we could be stretched a bit thin.
Wolves 1-0
I prefer square pegs in square holes rather than tinkering. Let’s give Vinagre a run out at wing back (maybe swapping sides with Douglas) and put big Alf in midfield instead of Ruben – it worked fine at Leeds!!
Got to be a better option than Bennett at wing back and a return for Baath.
Expect a win but still predicting a draw in case I put a curse on them – I’ll be feckin’ glad when promotion is confirmed and I can put all my superstitions away forever !!
Well Mad Mick and his clipboard have put their hands up for the Albion job and he perhaps would be a suitable fit as they now have no money (shame).
Perhaps Dicko will be back tonight but I cannot see them doing well and we can see the finishing line in sight.
No matter who replaces Neves & Doherty we should have enough to beat Hull tonight.
Games like this make me genuinely nervous. Still I believe in the team so here goes another 3-1 prediction.
The Battle of Boro may well go down as a famous battle in the winning of the promotion war.
I reckon if Friend had been sent off for the clip on Costa, Pooh-less would have shut up shop and parked the bus. His excuse for losing would have been going down to ten men. As it transpired he had no excuses. If every cloud has a silver lining, maybe an enforced break for Doherty and Neves is good. Shame about Pardew going, his losing run looked likely to continue. Worst ever PL manager?
Onto Hull. Nuno will be happy with a low-key routine win, no dramas, no casualties. Again the cloud has a silver lining as the suspensions will give game time to others. If our second eleven can battle Man City to a two-hour draw, we can surely kill off Hull. Routine 2-0, I reckon unless Hull get uppity and score. There were impressive against Villa in midfield but toothless in the box, so I hope for a clean sheet.
Toothless in the box ! Yes, it took our own defenders to make those two goals for Hull.
It was obvious that our team were knackered after last Friday and I fully expected to see more of them rested last night. We have reserves in plenty who could have been used.
Was Afobe even playing ? Didn’t see him mentioned on the BBC live text.
At least Neves and Doherty have had a rest before Cardiff, but not long enough for the others really; I’m worried we won’t be at our best against Colin’s cloggers.
Given Villa`s recent form of losing at home to QPR and at Bolton, and a draw at Hull, and I watched a little of that game, our west midlands neighbours seem devoid of form, inspiration and confidence, Hull were just as poor and I wouldn`t give them any great credit for what was for them a very useful point. If they had any gumption they would surely have gone for Villa`s throat and won the game.
The pressure has got to Villa, and Boro, I mean a last minute equalizer at Burton by their £15m striker, wowwee. Both teams have spent more than we have in the last 12 months or so, and their playing style offered by their managers is out of the dark ages.
I`m not going to worry about Nuno`s team selection a jot, he`s got everything spot on so far, and which ever players he selects we will be too good for the tigers. Its just a great opportunity for maybe some other squad members to show what they can do, and join in the wolves revolution. Nearly champions, last night results were a bonus, and with Cardiff yet to play the Villa and Derby away, what we want is edging that much closer.
We have had a 1-0, 1-1, 2-0, 2-1, 2-2, 3-0, 3-1, 3-2, 3-3, 4-0, 4-1 and a 5-1.
We have not had a 4-2, 4-3, 4-4 nor have we had a 5-0 so ……
Brompt,
I’m sure there’s some logic in there and I’ve tried a couple of algorithm’s myself and found that you omitted:
0 : 0 and 10 : 0 – so the law of averages mean that 5 : 0 it is then…
But I backed 4 : 0 and then realised that we haven’t have 0 : 0 and 8 : 0
So there you have it – one of us must be right, right?
I think both of you need to get out more.
Clive,
My plan is to be in The Stile at 5.00pm
I’ll try to work out a further couple of options after taking on a flagon of Bonks’s, but cannot promise they’re make any sense.
As for getting out more will be going abroad on Friday to Carduff & last time I was there was also with a very sad Colin Wanker. Then up to y eye man on 5th/6th May.
Rick Rack,
We (a load of us bloggers that is) have booked into the Hilton Garden Inn on the 5th, so come on over that night and join us, if of course you have not booked a room there.
Hiya Brompton,
We’re stopping in the Premier Inn with Lenny Henry approx 1/2 mile away from the Hilton (which was fully booked) so planning to have a couple of sherbets on Saturday evening & would be happy to share with like minded Wolfrunians. I know Stu Wolf & sin yr pics so I’m sure we’ll find ya. See ya there buddy.
Up the Wolves
I think that the two players who come in will have something to prove and hopefully that partially offsets the loss of Neves and Doherty.
Can’t see us losing this one. Afobe & Costa to score.
Predicted defeat to Boro and it worked so I’ll ‘predict’ us to drop points again tonight. Hull seem like a good side (on paper) that lost the plot so they have to be respected. They did well to keep cheating, cynical Villa at bay.
Before we scored against Boro I was the most tense I’ve been for a long time. The game had a real feel that we might not do ourselves justice, especially for the 5-10 min spell when they had a succession of long throws and corners. For me it shows that a lot of our big games are on a knife edge for long periods, and our ability to create and finish a chance is the difference between stuffing or being stuffed. This is how I’ll approach the Cardiff game on Friday.
I’d love Gibbs-White to start at right back because I think the kid deserves a start end of but I ultimately trust in what Nuno decides.
Even with Neves and Doherty out I still think we’ll get the job done here. Breaking hull down will be the challenge but with Costa finding form I can see another 3 points being chalked on the board. Afobe and Costa to score
Wolves 3 Tigers 1 Wolves 3 Tigers 1
You can never rule out s slip up – even in the best regulated surroundings – but I see no reason to expect one. Dances mentioned the performance of our reserves against Man city, I was surprised this hadn’t been made more of. Like him I see every reason to have confidence in those who can’t get a regular place – often this happens because the second string aren’t good enough and ae likely to fail when they eventually get a game. In our case they don’t play regularly because the incumbents are top class. That’ll do for me. COYW
Gutted. Down with the dreaded lurgy and not travelling up to Wolves. No Molineux (and no NBB) for me tonight.
I’ve already gone for a draw but a home win would be so nice.
Hoping for a big win tonight, not just because Wolves are on my accumulator and not just because it would be another 3 points nearer the promised land. I want a big win so that it makes StuWolf feel better after his trip to the hospital today. Top man is “The Ticketmaster”.
Stu Wolf,
Just a quick question:
Shall We Sing A Song For You?
Little nervous about this one buy that is because it’s squeaky bum time, should have enough for a home win
Fancy a afobe goal tonight
Let Vinagre play down the right side. Sometimes, a player playing on his opposite side works out well. He will be able to pass more naturally down the middle instead of along the side line.
His strong foot will be closer to the centre of the pitch so he can intercept passes easier.
Or maybe not!
I don’t expect Hull will roll over easily for this one. My preference would be Vinagre over Batth, N’Diaye in for Neves then depends how fit Costa is!
My nerves kicking in now & will do until it’s confirmed that we have been promoted!

Teamsheet for tonight,
Also Hull are resting Dawson and Hernandez for Saturday as he said,”they are expecting to get spanked”
Well I guess expectations don’t always play out ?
WTF. Decided to go to pub and support Leeds. Leeds failed me. And when Wolves went 1 up I thought it did not matter. Then I saw that Miranda gave away a pen, and thought Oh bollox, then Bennet scored ….. an own goal and I thought, double bollox.
I saw that Nuno decided to play Burr, our Danish defender and thought he must know what he is doing, but ……. a defender? Still …… we had Afobe on and my mate Steve rates him so I thought we would be okay. But …… Afobe did not score but …..Burr does.
Okay. 2 points dropped, but six games to go and still 2 wins required.
Who said this was going to be easy. We am Wolves ay we.
Bring on Cardiff. We play better against teams like that …….. don’t we?
I said 2 wins required, but failing that, 6 draws will do ……… just saying!
This is how to do it.

Hello,
I just signed the petition, “Wolves F.C. : Reinstatement of our ball boy.” I think this is important. Will you sign it too?
