David Moyes has done another fantastic job for Everton this season.
Hamstrung by the club’s finances and their ‘sell to buy’ requirements, he’s once again juggled his resources, shuffled the pack and has the Toffees sitting just below the big hitters.

He just makes it look so easy too.
Organisation and discipline coupled with astute dealings in the transfer windows and voila! Top half guaranteed.
Nikica Jelavic is the latest bargain-buy, pinched from Rangers in January and already pinging them in left, right and center. He’s got 10 already.
Yakubu, Beckford, Saha and Arteta have all been moved on to balance the books, but that doesn’t seem to have prevented their customary upwards surge in the second-half of the season.
They’re unbeaten in their last 7 Premier League matches, dispatching Fulham 4-0 and taking a point at the Britannia in their most recent outings.
You worry for Wolves against any side that set out their stall and stay organised for 90 minutes. We just have an unwelcome propensity for self-implosion.
The Team
TC went 442 at Swansea last weekend and will probably do the same again. Unless we picked up any injuries I don’t know about, it will likely be the same eleven. I’d like to see an open game, for the sake of entertainment, so I’d go with that team:

If we do send that team out, I’m fairly certain we’ll concede, so as was the case against Swansea, we’ll need to score a few ourselves to be competitive.
Should the likes of Doyle, Fletcher and Jarvis impress, it wouldn’t surprise me to see any of them in an Everton shirt next season. I think they’re all players who could fit the criteria Moyes would be looking at.
Prediction League
Quite remarkably, nobody went for 4-4 against Swansea. However, 5 people did predict a draw.
So well done to me, Morph, Super Kev Doyle, robin and The Wanderer. Each of us take a point.
I’m hoping for a big performance to sign-off a catastrophic season of home-form and Everton are definitely due a defeat.
So against all logic and everything I’ve written above, I’ll go for a hopeful 3-1 Wolves.
If you’re at Molineux Sunday, have a great time and get behind the lads. I’m hoping we’ll get some words from our chairman after the game, which I think is the least we deserve.
Up The Wolves.

Would love to see a win. Would dearly love to. But …. our defence is too porous.
So I will guess wildly at:
Wolves 1-3 Everton
(Would love to hear the words from our beloved chairman after the game if that’s the result!)
I’ll go for a 2-1 Everton win. I’m not sure why, and I’m not basing it on any particular logic other than he seems to be on fire at the moment, but I fancy Jelavic to score at least once.
I think if you look at it as a managerial contest it’s a no brainer.
T.C. 0 Everton 4
They have been on a good run and will want to finish above Liverpool.
Unlike TC, Moyes has intelligence and poise.
Also his players respect him, rather than come out with platitudes in the local rag.
My only hope is that come the end of the Wigan match, Morgan finally opens his mouth and gives TC and Moxey their marching orders.
come on everton do us a favour and win 5-0 and put any lingering thoughts of tc being gaffer next season to bed,but then again doyle said he wanted to give the wolves fans something to cheer going into the summer by winning a game, yes thats right doyle if you want to put a smile on our faces be consistent have another howler and lose, for the record i do like doyle a lot i just wish sometimes they wouldn’t come up with useless statements, and hurry up m.m get a new job and swoop for t.c your best mate
Gotto agree ltw,Do we want that halfwit managing our club next season.NOT IN A MILLION YEARS,FOJM ,FOTC,
I’ll go for 2-2 and another entertaining game. Here’s hoping that we don’t have to witness another Phil Neville thunderbolt.
As my wonderful wife is an Everton fan, I might be on a promise if Everton win, so I`ll be praying for a 2-0 away win for that reason, and because like Robin, I agree we need nothing to happen to help TC and his future job prospects.
If Tc sets us up 442 like at swansea it could be 3-0 again after 10 minutes. It wasn`t until the wingers were moved inside to play like old inside forwards, and make the numbers up in midfield that we could compete with Swansea`s passing and movement. Too little too late on the day, and for the season.
I now see Karl Henry has come out in favour of TC on the sanitised wwfc website. He`s one of the few players who can hold their head up and say he did ok in the prem, under inept management. Shame he`s had to join in this riduculous farce, considering most players face a 50% salary reduction next season, I can`t believe any of them really want to join Moxey and his pathetic attempts to champion TC in the managers job next year. MOXEY OUT from the BillyWright on Sunday everybody.
Dispatched with ease by a true Premier League team Wolves 0-2 Everton
Everton 3 – 2 Wolves, I suspect more comical defending, If Fellaini is on form it could get embarrassing.
we are championshit i said we are championship!!! hope we lose so things change..probably wont though . going to be a very interesting ending though eh??
I saw this fixture towards the end of the season two years ago. Everton were excellent but thanks to a bit of luck and a fair amount of decent play, we managed a very creditable 0-0.
Two years later and, having spent a fair amount of dosh, we are a complete shambles. McCarthy’s paid for that but he’s not thew only one culpable. Moxey must be held to account too.
Result1-4.
Karl Henry things Coco hasn’t had enough time. 3points out of 11games-that’s pathetic.
Coco’s cheap Pantomine goes on. Ringmaster Greaseball pulling the cheap strings.
This is looking ominous.
Wolves 1 Everton4.Another example of how we have improved. Words fail me.
Wolves 1-2 Everton. May the fourth be with you.
Wolves 0 Everton 2
Another game we have to get over with asap.
Bring on the kids!
i think we’ll lose and don’t really care to much and if we win it will be more of the same next
season under( TC,TOTALLY CRAP ) so i urge all ofyou don’t clap at the end of the game give those who put us down some stick.FOJM,FOTC.
Would really like to know what Sir Jack thinks of this shambles. He must know the results have been something he would not have tolerated.
Someone must know how to get a few words out of him. He’s got more Wolves DNA than the whole playing staff, Coco, Greaseball and Moron combined.
Sir Jack we need some help with these lunatics ruining our club.
hi,read hunts comments bham mail on training spot on (EASIER) but we’ve let t.c down with results i wish these players would think through there comments prior to making themselves sound stupid ,and i said earlier everton for a victory and wigan because if you step back nobody could see this shambles and many a fan will reflect during the summer did it really all happen , and if two victories that all the players credited tc for got him the job i think i’ve said enough as i’m sorry to say i’ve never wanted wolves to lose as much as these next 2 games
we’ll score, but not as many as them. 2-4
Think we will loose 3-0…isn’t the season over yet!!!! Please no more!!!!!
1-2 defeat, just like last time… will be interesting to see the atmosphere this being our last PL game for quite awhile…
Going for 3- 1 again, to Everton obviously. Never been to Molineux before actually hoping for Wolves to lose. Don’t know why I’m worrying, they have managed to lose on nearly every other visit I’ve made to Wolverhampton this season. Looking forward to the chants on Sunday and also will be pleased to see TC for the last time.
Come on Everton, don’t let us down, help us get a new manager.
I must be goin mad. All the players coming out wantin TC to stay as manager. Have i missed something. We are one of the worst premiership sides in 20 years. I give up. We need a new manager to come in and shake the whole place up. It stinks. I hope we lose 5-0 and the players, management, coaches and board get boo-ed, at final whistle for being a shower of shit all season and letting us fans down. Are they planning a lap at end of game? I will be disgusted if fans clap them. Not one player deserves to be player of the season.
Really don’t buy the Moyes love in. Pardew’s achieved more, with less money in 1/5th of the time.
He’s done well but that’s about it.
I found this on another Wolves blog. Thought it was interesting reading so i decided to repost it on here. Make of it what you will.
Before i start, this info is from a good business friend of Steve Morgans, i’m not saying this is concrete as thing change quickly in football, but i wanted to share it with you lot as im interested what reactions it would get. My source hasnt been wrong yet, he was right about the ground delay loong before it was announced, he was right about not selling in January too.
STEVE MORGAN WANTS A D.O.F, HE IS HAPPY WITH MOXEY’S FINANCIAL RUNNING OF THE CLUB, THIS IS THE ONLY REASON HE HASNT SACKED HIM AS HE FEEL’S THE P.R SIDE OF THINGS HAS BEEN HANDLED BADLY.
HE WANTS TO KEEP TO OWNING THE CLUB AND NOT GET INVOLVED WITH THE FOOTBALL SIDE AS HE REALISES HE DOESNT KNOW ENOUGH ABOUT IT HIMSELF AND BURSTING INTO THE DRESSING ROOM WAS A BIG MISTAKE
HIS CHOICE FOR Director Of Football is PETER REID, ALMOST A DONE DEAL, THIS IS ONE OF THE REASONS WHY REID ODD’S HAVE BEEN FLASHED AS NEXT MANAGER TO COVER THE BOOKIES BACK.
HE IS ALSO VERY GRATEFUL TO TERRY CONNOR FOR TAKING A HARD JOB ON, AND DIRECTING THE FIRE FROM HIMSELF A BIT, HE WILL GIVE CONNOR A ROLE WITHIN THE CLUB FOR YEARS TO COME AS REWARD FOR LOYALTY, BUT NOT AS MANAGER, MOST LIKLEY A ROLE AS COACH WITH A HEAD POSITION IN DEVELOPING THE YOUTH SIDE AT THE NEW TRAINING GROUND ONCE READY.
MORGAN’S CHOICE FOR MANAGER IS IAN HOLLOWAY ! HE WILL MAKE A MOVE FOR HIM REGARDLESS IF BLACKPOOL GO UP OR NOT IF HE HASNT ALREADY, HE LIKES THE WAY HE GETS THE BEST OUT OF HIS PLAYERS AND THE ATTACKING FOOTBALL HE ENCORAGES, IDEALY HE WANTS SOMEONE WHO WILL GET US UP AS CHAMPIONS AND WILL ALREADY HAVE PREMIERSHIP EXPERIANCE.
IF HOLLOWAY REJECTS THE CHANCE, HIS NEXT CHOICE IS HOUGHTON FOR SIMILAR REASONS TO WHY HE WANTS HOLLOWAY, BUT NOW IS LESS LIKLEY DUE TO OTHERS WHO WILL ALSO BE AFTER HIM.
IF THEY BOTH REJECT US, THEN HE WILL LOOK TO AN UP AND COMING MANAGER IN POYET OR FERGUSON.
ANY OF THESE MANAGERS WILL HAVE TO WORK WITH THE PLAYERS WE ALREADY HAVE WITH A SMALL SUMMER BUDGET, HOWEVER PLAYERS WONT BE SOLD UNTIL THE NEW MANAGER HAS HAD A CHANCE TO ASSESS THE SQUAD.
MORGAN HAS APPARENTLY DECIDED ALL THIS AFTER GETTING REJECTED BY CURBS AND THAT’S WHY HE BACKED OUT OF TALKS WITH BRUCE.
MORGAN IS STILL VERY KEEN TO PRESS ON WITH THE GROUND DEVELOPMENT AS HE WANTS IT AS HIS LASTING LEGACY & TO COMPLY WITH THE NEW RULES COMING IN. HE ALSO HAS NO PLANS TO SELL THE CLUB AND IS IN IT FOR THE LONG RUN.
Tell me Again..
Where or Who is this info from ?
Which Blog was it posted on..
Morgan OUT!!! Moxey OUT!!! TC OUT!!! Johnson OUT!!!
Nige, these aren’t my words as i said i found it on another blog. I hope i don’t piss Thomas and Ben off by directing you to another Wolves site but here’s the link anyway.
http://www.thefootballnetwork.net/boards/list/s115.htm
Have a look under the heading “Morgans plan for wolves”
yosser6, that’s a very enlightening article and if true, is very encouraging. I like the idea of a D.O.F. and Reid would probably be a decent shout in that role.Morgan has obviously decided to steer the club on a different course(if this is true). Sounds good.
Believe it when I see it.
here we go again on our own!!
The one thing that gets me fuming is these player’s ,ie Henry,Edwards who have not performed and taken us down endorsing TC for manager when he’s been half the cause of our demise for the last how many year’s with his so called coaching shite,to me all they are doing is kissing arse and trying to keep them selves in a job,
All i hope is that McIdiot gets a job soon, be it the Albion or the local pub side take them with him, TC,POXEY,HENRY,WARD.They failed us.FOTC,FOTC,FOTC,FOPOXEY.
I can’t believe there’s so many of you actually wanting to see two defeats for WW to finish the season just to teach BOB a lesson. Don’t worry the end of the season will see certain issues sorted out though judging by the diversity of opinions expressed on this blog some of you will still not be satisfied.
BOB has been found lacking in the complexities of football management and I think you’ll find from now on he won’t be so quick to splash the cash. JM has done the job he’s paid to do, which is to keep WW solvent, but unfortunately he’s been allowed too much freedom to interfere with the footballing side of the club. Both Bob and JM are not footballers nor coaches nor managers and this has led to the issues with the club. TC was only appointed as a temp and I’m sure he’s tried desperately hard to step up to the plate but the task was a poisened chalice which he could not refuse. He was bound to fail and he should now be accomodated in some other position within the structure of the club. To sack him would be yet another gaffe that the PR of this club could do without.
Come on you Wolves finish with two wins and then check the points differences and you’ll find out how important those THREE matches ( B,B AND W ) should have been to our survival at the end of this season.
As ever UTW !!!!!
Wolves 3 Everton 2 and Wigan 2 Wolves 3
I love your posts Cwmbran. Positive and intelligent. You still keep posting even when the others are against you. Man on!!
Wolves 0-3 Everton what happened when you have a manager that knows what he’s doing.
Maybe we can get a draw from this game. I’ll go with 1-1.
The results are irrelevant, much like all the speculation over who is going where, with whom etc etc etc.
All paper talk and hopes.
I’ll wait until something definite is done, then pass comment.
Meanwhile….FOWB
My last game for a while. We might score…then they will score…. Then they will score more…yada yada yada….
Wolves 1 Everton. 3
Jellyfish hatrick… Who is 100/1 to be top scorer at the Euros. Not a bad punt.
G’Day from down-under chaps!
I would love to see a good performance and positive results now until the end, but I can’t see a Moyes side rolling over for us and they dispatched us with relative ease before.
2 – 1 to Everton.
We’ll lose. TC will say the players gave everything; that he couldn’t have asked for more.
The players will respond by saying they want TC to stay on as manager and he will be close to tears.
Wolves 1 Everton 3
I think the fact that so many Wolves fans are hoping they lose speaks volumes.
It’s not surprising that many Wolves players have come out in support of TC, particularly those of a ‘certain age’ or near the end of contracts; if they say anything against him and he stays on as manager next season they’ll be out of a job!
Score? 2-2
I think we’ll be lucky to scrape a draw.
Wolves 2-2 Everton
TC says the players are going to do a “lap of honour”. Should be interesting. I hope moron and fatty join in as well.
Wolves to finish in keeping with the season. No clean sheet, no win.
Wolves 0-Everton 3
Everton 3 – 1 tc. De cries to keep us in it. Tc to say it was an amazing back to the walls performance. Please let it be over soon so we get rid of teary tc and the fat controller
Wolves’ pride is restored, says Terry Connor
Terry Connor today insisted he has restored Wolves’ pride and spirit despite relegation.
The Molineux boss is gearing up for the final home game of the season against Everton tomorrow, feeling his team could have rescued their Premier League lives with a few more games in charge.
“Although we didn’t do achieve our objective, things have improved in terms of players’ performances,” said Connor.
“They’re much more like what Wolves should be producing and some of the players individually have shone.
“If there were another few games left, we’d be thinking we could get these points. It’s almost like we’ve re-established what Wolves are about in what we’re trying to do.
“Everything in terms of their performances as individuals has improved. Maybe players have more confidence, and belief has grown as the performances have got better and better.”
Words fail me.
Its all about pressure thats why their playing a bit better nothing else, answer no pressure because we’er down.FOJM,FOTC.
Yeah and playing better means 3 points out of 30. Hilarious!
What complete Bollocks from Coco.
Words fail me too. What planet is the guy on? No wins and 3 points in 11 games.
That has restored pride and players performance????
Performances got better and better?
If we had a few more games we could get the points???
We’ve got 3 out of a possible 33 FFS!!!! I repeat that our form under TC equates to ten points in a season – how will you stay up with 10 points?
What is he talking about?
Who writes these scripts?
Checked the next wolves manager odds again. Darren Ferguson is now the 1/4 on favourite with Sky bet, but more interestingly betting has been suspended by all the other bookmakers.
If there is no smoke without fire there has been some moves by Morgan over the last week – find it a bit odd that some fans who never tire of saying who should leave the club seem to have no interest in who might come in.
I’d prefer Ferguson to TC by a long chalk.
He does have a brain!
wolves nil and a goodnight from him ..everton 5 and agoodnight from me….how many more years of being constantly average ? the premier league bubble has to burst sometime soon and then the fans can reclaim their clubs instead of the hospital library atmosphere that we have found at most of the big boys this season…this being the ONLY thing i will enjoy about being in the championship..real fans and better atmosphere !!
does anyone remember around fulham , man u when tc said rot hadn’t set in what a lie that proved to be,words fail me was very accurate when if we had more games he’s saying he’d keep us up. NOBODY OF RATIONAL THINKING CAN HOPE WE WIN TOMORROW FOR ALL OUR SANITY GET THAT CONNOR OUT IT’S A DISCRAGE HE WAS EVER ALLOWED TO BE MANAGER
in a paralell universe wolves are top of the premier league and most of the players are english and in the england squad………..yeah and shergar won this years grand national…even in a paralell universe tc is the manager ! nuff said…
1-0 Wolves. The last Molineux performance for a few of these boys, I think they will make it a good one. Plus the new gaffa’s watching.
Here’s a thought……………now that the Championship is finished, do we get Adlene and Hammill and anyone else out on loan back, and can they play in the last 2 games?
Last Premiership game at the Mol today guys and whether we bounce straight back or are destined to spend more years in the doldrums and anonymity of the Championship remains to be seen. However, after the pathetic mismanagement of the club this season is anything to go by i fear it will be the latter.
Our once proud club has been reduced to a shambles, a laughing stock to all and an embarrassment to us the supporters. The humiliation we’ve all had to endure has been hard to take but what do we know. We’ve been branded as numpties and fickle by the powers that be…….. in other words just give us your money and shut the f*** up.
Well not me Mr Moxey, I am one of the thousands who have not renewed. I refuse to give you any more of my hard earned to watch shit football and boost your anual bonus. What was it last year Jez 1.3 million salary plus bonuses?
Nice work if you can get it, but tell us all Jez, what can you point to this season that can justify that sort of salary? The superb timing of the managerial change? The fantastic way you conducted the search for MM’s successor? Or perhaps the bullshit and spin you have expected us to swallow after the apointment of a novice in Terry Connor? Maybe not eh? Or maybe it’s the emails you bombard me with. Kindly reminding me i need to purchase my season ticket for next season, or that i am entitled to a discount in the club shop, or do i want to pay £118 + VAT to attend the end of season dinner, or perhaps i’d like to book a table in the clubs restaurant, all wonderful offers designed to wring even more cash out of me. Well get this Jez i aint interested, not in the F*****G slightest.
The truth is you can not justify taking that amount of money out of the club, you’re performance as the clubs CEO has been deplorable. You’re a joke and an embarrassment to us all and in any other organisation would have been given your P45 long ago.
Well today is my day Jez, today is the day i am going to have my say. You’re going to get all of the bile and vitriol that has built up inside of me over the course of this seasons debacle.
F**k the match, for 90 minutes i will voice my displeasure solely at you and i hope the loyal fans in the south and north bank join me. I hope you get both barrels from every one in the ground so that Morgan can see for himself that you are the parasite that has brought us to our knees and that we leave him with no option but to relieve you of your position. As your email heading states “It’s in the blood” yes it is but today my blood’s going to boil.
If you’re going to the game today guys be loud, be very very loud. We have to get this greedy b*****d out of our club.
Well said Yosser…….
Not really interested in the result, but hoping the fans at the game let the board know the fans feelings…..
Doyle defending picks up the ball on the edge of the Wolves’ penalty area and passes to Stearman who without looking finds Berra in space who flicks the ball to Henry who makes a mazy run through the centre circle beating 4 Everton players before passing back to Ward who surges forward then makes a slide rule pass to Jarvis who pings the ball into the Everton box Fletcher effortlessly brings it down looks up and finds Kightly unmarked on his right strokes the ball into the path of the on rushing winger who hits it first time past the despairing Howard. It is the cherry on the cake
Wolves 4 Everton 1
FOYNNAGBTT
Jarvis not playing
hello….anybody there? im in the south bank waiting for the pitch invasion…anybody there? that went well then? zzzzzzzz somebody turn out the light
Whilst it’s possible that because the season has been so dismal and disappointing I’m just looking for reasons to criticise the club – am I the only fan who feels so f****d off by the ‘players lap of appreciation’ (which I thought I’d seen earlier described by TC as a ‘lap of honour’ wtf!!) and the fact that neither our beloved Chairman or the exalted fat one didn’t address the fans today?
The fans deserve better, we deserve answers and at the very least a little respect – this club of ours (and it is ours not theirs, they are just temporary custodians of it) will still be here next season and Morgan and Moxey ought to be building bridges with fans not senselessly pissing more of us off.
Its only to be expected wonderwolvesboy, when you’ve got morons running the club with no bollocks between them, we can expect nothing off these two total fuckshits,we’ll get no joy out of wolves until we get rid of POXEY AND HIS SIDEKICK TOTALLY CRAP.
Only hope morgan see’s the light and gets rid of them both ASAP.Yeh the match a none entity
load of shite did’nt have a shot on target just sums our season up abysmal.FOJM,FOTC.
Ah, a little respect for the fans. Now wouldn’t that be nice.
couldn’t agree with you more .. theMoron and the fat one are now annoyingly taking the piss. If that was a lap of appreciation then how crap was that! I also noticed that when the SBank started the Moxey is a wanker chant they were drowned out by a tannoy message .. how coincidental. lets all face it those two at the top dont give a hoot for the paying fans. . as their lack of address clearly demonstrates.
But the twix was nice 🙂
Went to match but left before lap of bollocks. Were there many fans there for the lap?
should have called it we’re crap with no honour….really sticks in your throat..nobody cares
Not exactly a ‘lap of appreciation’ was it? more like a quick stroll round the centre circle. In fact the player who came closest to the Steve Bull was Wayne and he could hardly walk1
I don’t know what I was expecting but the total anti-climax somehow seemed a fitting end to what has been a most challenging season to be a Wolves fan. Just one more week and then lets hope that there will be some light coming out of the darkness. The number of empty seats in the Billy Wright, obviously season ticket holders, was very noticeable today so I think the next month could be one of the most crucial in the modern era in terms of reuniting all elements of the club.
All season was a farce.
The pantomime goes on.
Lap of nothing.
O’Hara nowhere to be seen.
Fans as always magnificent even had us two up at one point!
Moron and Greaseball not worthy of the fans.
what now ? how much lower can things get ? doesnt fill anyone with ..great now for next season ! does it? dont think many will miss football and i wonder why ? if mr morgan really cared about pr and image of the club and value plummeting youd think something would have been started to be put in place …oh sorry , being logical again ! just what series two of this horror film will be like is anyones guess.. probably very much like series one ! with a lot less viewers this time round as is a waste of money; not just in its ability to entertain but in the capacity to make us feel part of all that is wolves….rip my old friend
