Firstly guys, apologies for the outage.

I know conspiracy fans were salivating at the idea we’d been shut down by the club after Ben’s excellent post, but it was actually a much more basic and boring reason.
It did look at one stage that we’d be offline for considerably longer, which wasn’t entirely unappealing when facing up to writing this preview.
But as we’re back, I don’t want to disappoint you Prediction League fanatics (the table for which I will update over the weekend).
Derby
While we’re being informal, Derby can do one, with all their money and ambition. Makes me sick.
They even sacked their manager because the football wasn’t up to scratch, even though they were in the top six.
A couple of wins have recently got them back on track after it looked like they might completely fall away, much like last season.
But we know first hand they’re a good team with some excellent individuals.
I just wonder whether the big money arrivals have taken away from the overall team ethic that has impressed for a couple of years now without getting them promoted?
They tonked us again at Pride Park earlier in the season, so it would be nice to get some measure of revenge tomorrow.
Wolves
I think the arrival of Jeremy Helan has to be considered a positive. Pace in the attacking third is something we’re lacking and if nothing else, he brings that to the table.

As I’m writing this on a train, I don’t have the access to create a new team graphic, hence why I’ve used the above. But I actually wouldn’t play this team.
We need to stifle Derby and stop them playing football. If we try and go toe to toe, we’ll get beaten easily. I’d pack the midfield and just play one up top.
As for the new boy, yeah, I’d throw him straight in. Why not? He can’t do any worse than our other wide players have done in recent times and may inject some confidence and energy into a beleaguered team.
The gaffer
Predictions
It’s impossible to predict anything other than defeat.
I think Derby look better on paper than the collective sum of their parts these days, but they should have far too much for us.
As mentioned above, our best chance is to restrict their play and attempt to break quickly when the opportunity presents itself.
I don’t think we’ve got the discipline or the quality to do it effectively though, so…
3-1 Derby.
Up The Wolves!

I was flapping a bit when I was unable to on the site ! Aanyho glad it’s back 🙂
As for the game tomorrow …….I don’t hold out much hope of a victory but I just can’t predict a loss for us!
Helan in wide left to provide some penetration down that side. Apart from that it’s the usual suspects.
Off topic but I see that Eusabio will not have his contract renewed at the end of the season. Another who has flattered to deceive or will he go onto great things somewhere else?
Onwards & Sideways
🙂
Whilst we’re on conspiracy theories, I know a couple of Derby fans and the rumour is that the manager was having an affair with one of the players’ wives.
In other news, I will be leaving the live coverage early to go and watch my brother-in-law play for Castlecroft Rangers in the quarter final of the intermediate cup. I know which one I’m looking forward to more and by which one I’m more likely to be entertained.
Interesting rumour above (Tettenhall Wolf) about the Derby manager playing away from home!
A tale of two clubs tomorrow. A tale of two owners who couldn’t be any different in their commitment and financial support for their clubs. Rumours have it that Nigel Pearson is in the frame for the Derby job in due course.
On the basis of the form book I don’t expect us to get anything from the game tomorrow but I hope the signing of Helan will galvanise the team. The result at Brentford must have been a wake-up call. I don’t think we will be pointless tomorrow. Just a feeling.
With the site down … I began trawling to find an injunction order … But couldn’t thankfully as my concern was how could I predict the next game.
I was also pleasantly surprised to see someone had pasted the whole Fans Parliament blog onto the Express and Star … Well done whoever it was …. Let’s put our club peers to shame.
As for tomorrow .. as much as it pains me …we’re going to get mullered …….
I’m just frightened by what the scoreline might be.
Going to be optimistic!
I’m near the top of the Prediction league so I’m going with my head not my heart.
Wolves 0-6 Derby
Not mad, just can’t see anything else. 3-0 to a team like Brentwoodfordshire means a hammering against a free flowing attacking side like The Rams.
New player, Hmmmm, he hasn’t played for 4 weeks and his manager said he”s happy to let him go”. Nice one Kenny.
Demonstration after the match. arse kicking party everyone invited.
🙂
I cannt predict a loss – yet. Have to get real sometime; then again we have to put something of a performance in sometime.
Having seen the highlights, (if thats what they can accurately be called), of the Brentford match and given the talent Derby have at their disposal I can only envisage another defeat.
We are going to get stuffed.
Who knows, probably won’t be enjoyable
You’d think based on previous performances and Derby’s resurgence that we’ll get absolutely battered. You never know though, we might manage to avoid another complete embarassment. I still can’t see us scoring though.
Wolves 1 derby 5
Apathy still reigns.
More misery me thinks its just a matter of how many we lose by 4 days since the capitulation at Brenford can only see the same again espeailly if they score in the first 15 minutes I’m working so 10 minutes into the game I’m going to turn my back on my boss for 1 minute I suggest who Evers going does the same towards the dick heads box, I mean the directors box, what am I on about I got it right the first time..!l
The 10 minute thing is because as you know Morgan brought the club for a tenner..!
What would be good if all the Wolves fans did what city fans do link arms with there backs towards the pitch……I think ice labelled the point..ok I’ll shut up.
I think Wolves will go on a 4 of 5 streak. A nice 12 points to get them surely safe.
I think we were in the same frame of mind earlier in the season and then something similar to my prediction happened.
Haha, yes I was one of the conspiracy theorists too. It’s a shame the E&S dont do a follow up story following the fans parliament, I suppose Dim spiers isn’t brave enough for that kind of journalism.
Another spanking is on the cards tomorrow I fear. If we score first, we might have a chance, if they do, and early, I dread to think.
I’ll go against the consensus. No idea why.
i remember when being on the telly was a special thing. i would make sure there was enough time for me to get home, lay out a spread, grab a couple cold ones in the fridge and soak up all the pre match interviews … Unlike necking half a dozen at a crammed yates on top of a rushed pork bap en route, televised games we more civilised, like a spa day, a spa day just for me.
Tomorrow morning Im going shopping with the missus, and I genuinely do not give a flying if im back in time for kick off.
2-5 Derby
A Wolves win for the hell of it!!!!!!!
Should easily be 4-0 to Cloughie’s ex, but that would be too predictable.
Anyone for 5-1 to the Wolves Clive?
I remember going to Derby with Scooped in his Austin A35 van.
We didn’t own a Wolves scarf between us back then, so we tied a pair of Wolves socks to the wing mirrors, which on that van were well forward on the mudguards, so we couldn’t pull them off quickly enough to stop the Derby fans seeing them, and giving chase.
Good ol’ Scooped’s superior driving skills got us away to safety!
I think that was the year we played them twice in a week, both times on their mudheap, the baseball ground, and we won in the league and then lost in the cup.
Happy days, when we actually expected to win!
Tomorrow, unlike most of you fellow bloggers, I think we will win.
Firstly, because all bad runs come to an end, as we know to our cost.
Secondly, no matter how dire things look, I will NEVER predict a Wolves loss.
Its not in my DNA. Like Arnold cannot self terminate, I cannot loss predict.
And Thirdly, I refuse to let those low life tossers in charge get me down, we WILL be here long after they are gone.
So, Bollocks and double bollocks to messrs greasel, rudolph thelwell and any other who wears the same cap, WE are Wolves, not you, so fuck off.
Fowb
Jeremy Happy to play anywhere Helan should fit right (should that be left) in to our system.
Hoping to see 90 minutes of us playing the Wolves way.
Expect price rise to £95 next season under a total membership model…… try a walk out protest then
Not blogged a lot this season, saw my first reserve game with 22,000 others in 1952,my first big game in1956,had my first season ticket in the new Molyneux Street concrete stand(3rd row back halfway line).
Seen some sights, some ups, some downs. But even in the Bhatti Brothers days did I ever feel as down as I do now.
Out of the darkness cometh light,we can but hope it’s not a train coming the other way
It can’t happen. Can it?
Wolves v Derby always stirs memories for me starting with the 1966/67 promotion season when the teams met twice over Christmas as was the way back then. We won 5-3 at Molineux and 3-0 at the Baseball Ground under Ronnie Allen – fast forward a few years to the 70’s when every game under Bill McGarry seemed to end 1-2 to them in thick mud and John O’Hare scoring the winner in the last minute each time – jump a few decades to Spring 2009 when Super Mick’s men went to Derby on the brink of promotion and came back from 1-2 down to win 3-2 with ‘marvellous’ Marlon Harewood instrumental in the winner. Happy days!
Tomorrow who knows? Can’t be arsed to do the 4 hour round trip so me and BOG plus Rhys Lightning will be watching it on TV in the local boozer so at least we will be merry no matter what the score.
Head says 0-3 but unlike mercenary StuWolf who is desperate to win the predictions League by the sound of it – lol – I am ruled by my heart!
Got to say I’m with the doom Sayers. Can’t believe we have got so low that a Sheffield reject coming in on loan is seen as a good sign.
I agree with those who say pack the midfield, stay deep, frustrate the opposition and who knows what may happen. Won`t be driving over from Nottingham though, I`ll be watching Sky and hoping for some luck against a side who as everyone else has said, have the quality to give us another thrashing.
So for me I`ll be watching my lad captain his local village side at 2.30pm, followed by a dash home to catch the rugby. Score prediction England 22 Ireland 14.
Actually renewed on the early bird season ticket yesterday, only because it was my first aged 65 so its a decent saving. Whether I actually use it next season only time will tell, new owner please.
I thought at first that Moxey had got an injunction and closed us down.
And then I wondered whether it was a case of “Will the last Wolves supporter to leave the Blog please switch the lights off.”
Glad to have you back.
Can’t really see anything but a defeat tomorrow but as I shall be watching it from the relative comfort of my sofa – one of the PMDG’ers chums has given us the password for her Sky Sports package, what a star! – I am going to predict a surprise win because I don’t want to end up even more depressed.
The new boy should add some pace and hopefully relegate VLP to the bench and Siggy and Mason are due a goal.
Come on you Wolves!!!!!!!!!
Well done mate. Not many of us got the exact score right. It pays to go with your heart as opposed to your head at times. Hope things are going as planned in your household Mark.
Cheers Brompton.
It’s a struggle but hopefully we’re getting there.
I really can’t see any miricles here & I can’t see us getting a win under any circumstances!
However I still refuse to predict a loss, more to the point I won’t be driven away from my own club by the useless tossers that currently run it!!! So Moxey & co can stick their comments where the sun don’t shine!
We are Wolves & damn well proud of it!
Another loss I’m afraid
Following Clives post can remember going to Derby on one of those soccers specials with about 500 other
Wolves fans. Seeing the train leaving the station with lads hanging out all the windows was quite a sight. I will draw a veil over what happened when we got to Derby. Cant remember the match other than the view was crap as always.
God knows why WWFC 2 Rams 0.
Another loss I’m afraid 3-0 Derby
Lucky football is not played on paper or else we might as well not turn up. I’m hoping for one of those days where you feel like phoning in sick but you drag yourself out and it turns out to be not so bad after all.
Oh and Welcome to Helen, heaven is at Molineux and that’s where we come from.
A score draw for me.
My prediction in solidarity with CFH. He is right. WE are Wolves. The tossers on the board, managers, players all come and go but we don’t. We are Wolves. Is Kevin Hector still playing for Derby…
No, and he’s also moved out of his house, so a double whammy.
🙁
FOkh and stick your feckin house up your Ar@#
So who’s a silly old Hector?
Hectors House ?
Come on Cheeser,
Hectors house, kids programme from the 80′ bit like the muppets.
🙂
Kourtney House.. .
Evening fellow Wolves sufferers.
To relieve matters Wolves to win 1 0. Header from Ebanks- Landell. 75th minute. Remember you read it here first.
On Sunday it is the league cup final at Wembley. As every blogger on here will remember, 42 long years ago Wolves played Manchester City in the final of the same competition. For many of us of a certain age (in our early 20’s) it was our first visit to the hallowed turf and iconic towers of Wembley. My beloved dad went to the 1960 FA cup final vs Blackburn when Dougan was centre forward for Blackburn. (As I was only 7 he left me at home – the swine!).
Fast forward 14 years and the Doog was back at Wembley this time wearing the old gold shirt.
Richards had already scored 6 goals on the path to the final. Along the way Wolves had beaten Halifax
Tranmere (replay)
Exeter
Liverpool (played on a Wednesday afternoon due to the power restrictions)
Norwich over 2 legs in the semi final. The first leg was played at Carrow Road just 4 days after plating there in the league. With an old mate (Phil Walker) we travelled to both fixtures by Don Everall – 800 miles in total. No A14 in those days of course – Norwich was a tortuous destination to get to which involved traveling south on the M1 to junction 13 and then across country through Bedford and St Neots and onto Thetford. Not even a dual carriageway of any note after exiting the M1. Scott had an easier time of it in 1912 on the Ross Ice Shelf.
Both the league and cup games ended 1 apiece.
So for the third time in 7 days we played Norwich, this time at Molineux in the second leg with the winners Wembley bound. The game was played on a Saturday afternoon, unheard of for a league cup tie except the final. Richards duly obliged in a downpour and we were Wembley bound!!
On Saturday 2nd March I left home at 7 o’clock saying good morning to the milkman and walked into Sedgley Bullring. At 7.30am or thereabouts a mini bus with 16 on board headed south. Bill Owen (who reads this blog) was the nominated driver. This was because he was the only one of us who did not have a pint so it was a natural appointment!! Having driven us around on previous expeditions he was used to the antics of a bus load of blokes on the booze all day long and came armed with such important items as a fresh air canister, a can opener and “sick bags”.
On the way down we tucked into bacon sarnies and fortified ourselves with “Breaker Malt Liquor” (remember that?) and Ansells 7 pint cans. That Breaker stuff was absolutely lethal!
We made our way to the Green Man to continue with the alcoholic lubrication. There was a harmonious atmosphere between the respective supporters which actually continued after the final whistle.
Manchester City fielded some formidable players, Rodney Marsh, Colin Bell, Denis Law, Francis Lee, Mike Summerbee et al. City were pre-match favourites – although they eventually finished 2 places below Wolves in the league.
Well we all know the outcome but what a day guys! Gary Pierce played out of his skin and after Bell had equalised Kenny Hibbitt’s opener, “king” John Richards drove the ball home after an Alan Sunderland cross had deflected of Dougan’s heel. Unrestrained joy among the Molineux hordes in the 97,000 attendance.
On the way home we pulled up at the Bandwagon which is the entertainment room at the Prince of Wales pub, Kingsbury, North London with a group and disco. (I believe the establishment is still going).
It was a night that will remain long in the memories of all those who were on the mini bus.
The drummer unveiled a photograph of Wolves team line up (lord knows how he obtained that) and at various intervals banged “bum bum, bum bum bum, bum bum bum bum – and we all yelled “THE WOLVES”. One of our party, who shall remain nameless because he is still married to the same lady, managed to pair of with a German frauline by the name of Jutta and they disappeared for a while. (Of course she was immediately renamed “Jutta the Slutta”). He returned and triumphantly proved his “conquest” by waving his fingers under everyone’s nose….if you get my drift..
I could carry on for hours with events on that wonderful evening after a truly wonderful day but suffice to say it ranks well into the top 10 of amazing and enjoyable Wolves day outs.
Anyway many hours later (7 o’clock Sunday morning) I walked up the path to my parents house bedraggled to the core to be greeted by the….milkman! Yes they used to deliver on a Sunday back then.
Same greeting “morning” – except after 24 hours or more without a wink of sleep and consuming an incredible amount of alcohol I was well and truly shagged out. I promptly fell asleep and missed the homecoming tour in central Wolverhampton….
Serves me right I suppose!
Have a great weekend Wolves lads and lassies.
BOG
R muppets sums it all up! FUCKIN WOLVES AY WE. F**kin bollocks to Kevin Hector. Bollocks to Moxley. Bollocks to Morgan. In fact NEVER MIND THE BOLLOCKS.HERE’S THE SEX PISTOLS. Apart from that the youth policy is progressing nicely.
what can i predict but a loss and i hate us losing, but the way we’re playing or not should i say.
Moron get gone,Poxey get gone, thurwell get gone.Hackett get gone utw.
A point tomorrow will be a plus – I’m afraid I can’t be anymore positive than that.
Lost all confidence in our team and will take a couple of wins on the trot to restore it. Can’t see us beating Derby, especially at the Mol. Let’s hope the crowd will take it a bit easier on our team.
One for the prediction league
We’re going to in. Honestly we are.
I keep telling myself we I’ll.
If Clive never changes his prediction, why should I ? lol
C’mon Kenny the Tinkerer park the bus – we need something out of this game.
The game is on Bein Sports live in Sydney but am I brave enough to watch?
Can’t see a win but won’t predict a loss.
I’ll happily miss a Saturday lie-in, I’ll put up with the early start and I could even come to terms with another loss but what I won’t put up with is another 90 minutes of dire Sunday morning football from Wolves players.
Sort it out Kenny, we deserve better than this.
Ledbury, I hate to echo your thoughts, mate.
Is there no end to the negativity coming out of WV1 at the moment?
I fear not!
All runs come to an end !!
Wolves to win………….
I left griffin park after the third goal went in and I was home by the time the match finnished
I’m not going tomorrow as I don’t want to sit amongst the venom that will be directed at the the team I love ( not saying they don’t deserve it but I m nog part of it )
ChAnge the subject tho…
What a lovely story about tha afganjsfan kid who was so poor that he went through dustbins and found that west brom shirt and even tried to make himself look like messi
Messi felt so sorry that he had degraded himself so much that he sent him a real signed shit . Loved that story in the press today
this is just a classic blog stream…..brilliant time traveling once more with BOG…and then Clive telling a story involving out running Derby fans in a A35 van. Clive, my Dad owned an A 35 van ..and coincedentally me and my two best pals bought one in the summer of 1969 for 25 quid to take us to Newquay for two weeks camping which involved starting each night in the Sailors’ Arms..I won’t go into details about subsequent events…BUT my experience tells me that there is no way an A 35 van can outrun even a lady with a pushchair
This is all a convenient distraction from the horror of our team and club right now..the only consolation being that we’re not Villa fans or Sandwell Crem fans and so we have pride in what our team should be…just sadness and frustration about the present reality
In the long run the black and old gold will be fine and so will we…in the short run we’re likely to get shafted by Derby tomorrow..my prediction is optimistic
Marin, The Sailors Arms 1968 3 of us in a sit up and beg ford pop, 3 speed it used more water than fuel but what a two weeks that was. The journey took for ever something like 9 hours. I kid you not first conquest was a bird from West Brom.
Wolves to do the unexpected
Derby have looked a different class against our team when they were in good form… So I cant see the current line-up and form being a match for them.
Anyone notice that Leigh Griffiths has scored 34 goals this season. Wolves are brilliant at getting rid of players who know where the goalmouth is. So so sad
I hate Derby..I remember them beating us easily even in the Richards Dougan days ..Hector Ohare Todd Mcgoven that big bloke Roger Davies..all the fighting at the pop side and in the streets..Clough…
Back to the match we could shut up shop and play Mason loan striker but who is going to feed him on the break..RVLP?
We are so under resourced ..then there is the mighty Jacket his tactics, and game changing managerial skills..if it wasn’t so traitorous I would put a big bet on for a banker..say the house..
We are down to running on 2cylinders
with an almighty missfire..
The atmosphere could turn nasty to say the least…
But …hope for a miracle?
Roll on summer..
Mason ‘Lone’ striker ..
Can hardly be bothered, but hey ho.
I suppose seeing as I am on here, that I should predict, so …………
You can always hope.
I have never known such depressing times to be a wolf.
I was just in my early teens in the 80’s debacle so didn’t really feel the pain back then.
I am a season ticket holder and I have been twice this year, not going today, wont go until Morgan has gone.
To those that go and support, you have my absolute respect and admiration but I am not as passionate now and have other responsibilities..
Wouldn’t it be brilliant if the fans that did go created an carnival -ironic- atmosphere ala Southampton under Mick when we got stuffed at home (says the man whose not going)…
A protest is more likely and rightly so..
Wolves 1
Derby 3
Can only be another defeat.
Reading some comments on this blog makes me think we should have a ‘My first car’ feature.
Mine was a two tone blue Farina bodied Riley 4 72 with lovely leather and walnut interior and virtually no floor.
I persuaded my father (who was a Director of Jaguar Motors at the time) much against his better judgement, to pay £90 for it.
It did me fine for a year or so and apart from the odd brake failure proved pretty reliable.
Great days!
Mine was a Triumph Herald, white with black stripes on the sides and a sunroof. MMG 123C. Bought it for £160 in September 1975, wrote it off November 1975, nearly killed myself but luckily it was before wearing seat belts was compulsory, hit a tree and due to the impact I was thrown out of the car ending up sitting in someone’s front garden. If I had been wearing a seat belt I’d have been killed.
Great win today and the ten minute walk home from the pub was a lot better than the usual two hour drive home!
Strangely, I had a similar experience with my Triumph Herald in 1978, Bedford when I tried to park it at high speed against a a lamp post on the central reservation of a dual carriageway. Not much left of the RH side of the car but nobody seriously injured as we all flew unseatbelted to relative safety. Dangerous cars those Triumphs!
That’s our Wolves. Brilliant result.
I had a Ford Prefect – cost a fiver.
WTF I need a scotch and a lie down after that.
I said earlier on that I couldn’t be bothered. I can now. Been following on Twitter. Great result.
My first car, a red mini 850. Petrol was 35p a gallon. Five of us art students and the dog slept in it next to Waylan Smithy and the Uffington Dragon.
Which art college Dalmation Wolf? And when?
I was at Reading University, 71-75, Doog. Fine Art Department.
Did you make a career in fine art?
It’s been a struggle. I’ve had loads of shitty jobs to make a pittance, but never been too bothered about careers etc. I’ve been painting full time now for ten years, still not making money but there’s nothing else I’d rather do. It’s in my blood. A bit like being a Wolves supporter all these years. Can’t shake it off though I know it’s no good for me. Why your interest Mr Doog?
Always interested in fellow art students and whether they followed their dreams or went on to the daily drudge.
Good for you!
The PMDG’er and I had some magical times up on the White Horse hill at Uffington while we were still having a secret liaison. (Don’t tell the wife or her husband.)
Wow. Just back from pub, what can I say. That was one immense performance in my opinion. Really bossed the midfield, first to every ball, harrassed and bothered Derby and quite resilient at the back. I thought Coady should have got MOM though as he worked his socks off. That, coupled with the fact I predicted 2-1 too, made my day. Friday’s trip to Boro does not feel as so daunting now. Well done me babbies, same again pleeeeeeeeeeeease.
Oh, nearly forgot, my first car was a G Reg (1969) Hillman Hunter. It was great, as the underside of all the doors were sealed with rust and when it rained it all poured in through the door handles and I ended up with 6 inches of water lapping at my feet. Not many could say they had an indoor paddling pool in their car.
Well done Brompton with your prediction. I’m kicking myself as I also predicted 2-1 to us but finally chickened and went for 2-2.
My first car was a Ford Prefect. 100E engine I think, vacuum windscreen wipers that worked from engine speed and slowed down when the traffic slowed down. I think the heater was an optional extra.
It will have had three gears as well and middle was pretty low. I remember the wipers now you mention it.
That’s the wrong way round, they worked of the induction manifold and the wipers slowed down when you put your foot down. Petrol head then and now.
Well done wolves . What a brilliant team performance under great pressure . Thought ziggy was great today . Work rate through the team showed what can be achieved. Wish I’d gone now
My first car was a 1978 Ford Thunderbird. Used. Puke green. 351 Windsor engine.

My first car was the Number 11 trolley bus on the Penn Road!!
That feels better, and England win as well. I guess being Wolves supporters we should never expect too much but always expect the unexpected!
First car: Mk 1 Escort 1600 rally prepared which I used to park behind the Steve Bull whilst doing a design degree at Wolves Poly.
What sort of design degree and when were you there mate?
3D Design (Wood, Metal & Plastics) 1980 – 1983
Every evening in the workshops followed by a session in The Wanderer
A bit after my time.
I was the first in what was then the new art college block.
Here is a serious question.
How much do tickets cost, on a per game basis?
How much do you spend on average each game on food and beer, while inside the stadium?
I normally sit in the Steve Bull. Cost me £28.00. I don’t usually buy food or drink in the ground, but I travel from North Yorkshire, so petrol and coffee and scoff en route, coupled with cost of ticket sees me paying around £85.00 to £90.00 by the time I get to the Mol.
Still in shock ..Sunday morning shit feeling will be absent tomorrow ..
We filled the middle ..KJ tactics spot on ..Saville’s header really out of sight..Coady brilliant ..K Mac too..
I’m a fan of parallel universes..
Great result its just a pity we carnt do it week in week out or even every other week it just shows what can be achieved IF Jackett found that elusive formula he’s been looking for ALL season BUT how many times have we been here before this season, how many times has this been the result to turn our season round I guess a cold Friday night in Middlesbourgh will give us the answer..!
Well done to the players , us the fans will back you to the hilt when we see performances like today’s we only want to see you succeed believe it or not we want to be proud of you and OUR club.
My actual first car was a Moggy 1000.
I lived in a flat down the Tettenhall Road, and one afternoon I was turning into the drive and the whole front suspension collapsed.
As I had just had it completely overhauled I was extremely annoyed, so I had it towed back to the so called overhaulers, and had it fixed.
When they wanted payment, I told them bollocks, it was just supposedly overhauled, and if they didnt like it my Dad who worked for the Express and Star, would give them so much bad publicity they would go out of business!
Oh the innocence of youth!
I got away with it, but looking back I’m surprised I didnt get my head kicked in.
Maybe it had something to do with big Mark Davies being with me, who was and still is 6ft 12.
That Moggy took me to many an away match, and I also spent a happy Week in Newquay, Cornwall and The Sailors Arms is a name that stirs my memory banks……along with Jane’s arms, the lovely girl from Solihull, whom I eventually proposed to.
Lucky for both of us, she turned me down!!
Oh happy days!
And we had a football team!!
FOwb
A Moggy 1000? Was there a bloke with a red flag walking in front?
The only rubbish thing about today was the state of the Molineux pitch. It looked dreadful, rarely have I seen it look that bad this early in a season. Perhaps Moron and Toxic have sold the groundsman? For footballing reasons.
P.S. another game passes with ‘King Kenny’ failing to use all three subs.
Must agree about the pitch it looked very no league to me.
Too drunk to fuck . THE DEAD KENNEDYS fuckin great. Just like Jimmy Saville comin to us. Wolves ay it. Meant george obviously.
Well done to the team and kj for the win. Helan looked decent and the back four as a whole was generally improved. Thought Coady and Saville were excellent. I didn’t see Brentford game but at Huddersfield I thought those two looked our best players also. 7 more points and we can relax……
What a surprise, am I dreaming or did that really happen.
Again, Derby looked a very average side in this league, as do most of them, if we have turned the corner then we have the perfect game to test the theory with Boro on Friday. I know one swallow does not equal to two birds with a big bush and all that guff, but, I may now get a ticket for Boro now and brave the afternoon on the A1 / M1 on a Friday afternoon.
Happy and delighted to sacrifice my position on the prediction table for 2-1 at home to Derby, I genuinely believed we were going to get slaughtered , thus the 6-0 prediction. What do I know about football I support Wolves, with them Anything can and frequently does happen.
My first car was a Silves Peugeot special edition, leather seats and just the dogs Doo daas, I was living in Rosehearty in Aberdeenshire and travelled down by train for the League cup final against Man City that year. Arrived in Euston at the same time as about 3 specials from Manchester pulled in, travelled to Wembley and back on the tube with my mates who met me at Euston with my ticket and had no trouble at all with the City fans. Even less on the way back to my surprise. To be honest I can never remember any bovver with their fans at any point in my life. People from Moss Side must be of a gentler persuassion.
Enjoy the weekend even more now Guys and Gals of this great blog.
You traveling up by coach on Friday Stu? I wasn’t intending to go, and am planning to watch it in the pub.
If I change my mind Brompton I would do the coach. I was making a stand about them putting the price up even though they’re getting extra revenue from Sky. Now tnat’s ripping ypur fans off.
Yeah, me too. As it is only up the road from me I could be there in 20 mins. But going to the pub instead. Long way to travel to join me in the pub though, even though I am on the bell lol.
Catch up with you at another game sometime soon.
It is indeed a brave man who ventures onto the AI/M ! I vowed never to do it again after a trip up to Darlington, and came back to Kidderminster over the moors and down the M6. The M6 is busy, but not the motorway of Hell.
Best wishes if you decide to go to the match.
I travel on it all the time when I come to Wolverhampton as I live just 15 mins from Darlington lol
Bedford, the flag was old gold and black, of course
Morgan was nowhere in sight!
Great game , I thought what the lads lacked in quality they up for in effort and desire which is all we can hope for really , Coady left nothing on the pitch and was all commitment, it wouldn’t have been easy after they equalised but they dug in , on to Friday and hopefully dent another teams promotion push !! I think we have enough points now to play without fear so why not ? Utw
