The 2-1 win in this fixture last time out might well have been the most important result of the season.
It triggered an upturn in form at a pivotal point in the campaign after a run of defeats threatened to drag us down towards the bottom third of the table.

Nuno changed the tactics and picked an experimental side that evening to conjure up the victory. He may have to repeat the trick again after a disjointed performance at Everton.
It’s an all too rare Saturday 3pm kick-off, which in itself is cause for celebration.
Chelsea
One win, two draws and a defeat probably isn’t the start Frank Lampard had hoped for but it’s tough to know what is fair to expect of this Chelsea side.
They’re backing youth this season and while it’s admirable to see the likes of Abraham, Mount and Tomori given the spotlight, they’re almost entirely untested at this level.

Factor in the likes of Pulisic, Kovacic, Barkley and Jorginho who are all talented but hardly setting the Premier League alight and it feels like a proper deep dive into the unknown.
Surely a top-six finish would be considered a serious success in the current climate?
Injuries don’t help of course and they will undoubtedly benefit if/when they get players like Rudiger, Pedro and Kante fully fit and firing. All could return for this one.
In the meantime, surrendering a 2 goal lead at home to a newly promoted team shows the vulnerabilities that exist and are there to be exploited.

The away end
Some views lifted from Talk Chelsea pre-match thread.
Espirito Santo is the manager we should have gotten, but it is what it is. We have to make do with our naive tactics of collapsing every second half to even relegation candidates at home for this season.Let’s hope we somehow scrape a win here.
hey look as though they’ve taken a step back from last season so far. Commentator suggested that their EL fixtures are effecting them. With their best CB now suspended, that should help us a bit.But Wolves are the prototype side if you want to play against us effectively. Loads of pacey, athletic players in wide areas, a couple of great long ball midfielders, and a striker who presses constantly and will pounce on mistakes at the back in Jimenez. I fear that if Kante and Rüdiger aren’t back and fully fit in 2 weeks time Wolves will beat us.
In last two home games we’ve totally dominated by mediocre opposition in the second halves. For me it does not matter too much who plays in CB (although experienced players may help in getting the team organized), if clumsy Zouma or nervy Tomoro, but we will leak goals eventually if we lose every second ball in midfield and attack. There are a lot of spaces in between our lines, and that needs to be addressed by all 11 players on the pitch, not one or two.I’m fairly certain frank sees the same, it’s both obvious and a little embarrassing, but it is already difficult to make a team compact and focused with experienced players, let alone youngsters who are mostly new to this level of play. One of the most blatant differences from championship and PL sides, aside from technique, is physicality. Any physical advantages that our academy players may have had playing championship (and they did with their better preparation) is just nonexistent in the PL, esp against stronger opposition. Still, we need to fix these gaps if we want to stabilize the team. I was hoping for a more pragmatic approach in the beginning of the season, but I am also very curious as to whether he will tweak his approach in these more challenging away matches. Can’t imagine that our progressive style will do too well away from home in its current state. A riddle about academy players: if you can acquire a youngster from a smaller club to replace a player you already have: they are the same age, position, and about the same level of play. Do you keep your player, or acquire the one from the smaller club? yes, it is a bit more nuanced than hat, but the answer makes sense and it is the opposite of what most fans would think or like. (The answer is above)
Wolves
Losing Willy Boly for this one was a kick in the goolies we could have done without. I’d expect Saiss or Valejo to fill the sizeable gap that leaves in the side.

I’d be more inclined to move Saiss into the back three as I’m not a hundred per cent confident Vallejo is up to speed in our system.
Moutinho, Jota and Jimenez all failed to clock up serious minutes for their national sides so hopefully that’s to our benefit on Saturday.
I hope Jonny comes back into the team because I think we need the balance of his steady presence, particularly with Doherty sidelined.

Up The Wolves!

Saiss for boly and I think we have enough to win this one.
They will hit us hard early on and our previous slow starting may see us caught out so it’s imperative we get out the blocks and boss the game from the off.
We need to contain their young guns and take the game to them .
Traore could be the key , we need to release him more often so cover from midfield will be needed to cover his runs.
This could yet again be the start of our season.
Espirito Santo should have gone to Chelsea???
What utter fuckin’ arrogance!!
They have some sort of dog given right to anyone that russian mobster fancies, do they?
Well they can kiss my grits.
They haven’t even the good manners to call him by his full name, Dr. Nuno.
This lot are one of the two teams we can kick out of the so called top six this season, and there has been a lot of bridges over the water since our last outing.
We have had time to draw breath, analyse and perfect a cunning plan.
Boly will be a big miss, but with the time off we’ve had for good behavior, we will have organized the defense accordingly, and will hand out a whopping.
Any Houston Wolves who don’t know, we will be in Nick’s Place, 2713 Rockyridge Drive, our usual watering hole, for breakfast and mimosas, at nine on Sat. morning.
Us 5 them 1
In May 1968 I went on a week long school trip to Broadstairs staying at The Chandos Hotel. I was 11 and it was the first time I’d been away from home. On the Monday night before I’d seen us lose 0-1 at Stamford Bridge to a last minute goal by Peter Osgood. Wolves were in dire trouble at the wrong end of the table in our first season back in the top flight. By a strange twist of fate our next game was at home to Chelsea on the Saturday. After dinner in the hotel our teacher Mr Luke – a flame haired Man United fan from Morecambe who was also our school football team coach – said “Would anyone like to know the football results?” Yes! I shouted. He smiled as he knew I was desperate to know the Wolves score. “Wolves 3 Chelsea 0” he said. I was ecstatic. We ended the season a week later beating Spurs 2-1 to confirm our survival.
Last week to celebrate our Ruby Wedding Mrs BW and I went on a week long tour of the South Coast starting in Kent and ending in Cornwall. Whilst in Kent we went to Broadstairs. We managed to find a car park that had some spaces – one of those you can only pay with on your phone. Checking our location I realised we were in Chandos Square and there right behind me was …..The Chandos Hotel. Actually it was no longer a hotel but the building was the same as it had been 51 years earlier. Picture attached.
Consequently without any doubt or argument the score this Saturday will be, as dear Mr Luke said, Wolves 3 Chelsea 0.
OODCL
I think if the team keeps a clear head and takes their chances, we can win this comfortably. Time for our first league win of the season.
Go Wolves!
Hoping for our first win of the season after some had a rest during the international break.
“Espirito Santo is the manager we should have gotten, but it is what it is.”
Arrogance, and a lack of basic English, of the highest order.
I won’t be able to be at the game due to a previous engagement with The Royal Albert Hall, but I will take our colours and fly them proudly as I did the last time me and the PMDG’er took London by storm.
Big Willy is going to be difficult to replace but I still fancy us to win this one.
A repeat of last season’s score will do me fine.
The important thing is for us to get out of the traps EARLY.
We got away with it last season but it might not work out that well again.
I hope you all enjoy the match, and, if you’re watching the Last Night of the Proms later, give us a wave!
Sorry to be negative but I think we will be edged out by Chelsea 2-1.
Fresh from my PL mention above, to the more pressing matter of deciding how many we put past Lampard’s lambs on what will be as rare an occasion as seeing rocking horse s@@t with a Saturday kick off at 3pm.
With the two week r and r passed some of our boys should be raring to go this weekend…. I believe our mojo will be back for this one and we should get some momentum in the knowledge that Sheffield Utd plundered 2 goals against Chelsea last time out… they’re certainly not the CFC of old.
No worries with Boly’s suspension as Saiss is a good fit in his position… that said we need to be 95% for this one with Jonny replacing Vinagre and Cutrone scoring his first goals (off the bench) in the Glorious Gold and Black….
It’s only in their absence you sometimes realise how much you miss someone.
Before I get accused of a man-crush, I strongly suspect Big Willy’s absence might be the difference between points and no points. Fortunately my opinions tend to be worth shit when predicting.
Early goal in each half. Solid defending and keep them worried up front. Also we really need 3 points.
Now the euphoria of the Europa league has settled down i expect us to be back on our game. Chelsea have not looked convincing and they will probably come and attack us. Therefore a convincing Wolves win for me.
A kick start with our 1st 3 points would be just what the doctor orders; Dr NES that is!!
Chelsea are in transition and are definately for the taking at the Golden Palace this Saturday.
Willy will no doubt be a big loss; however, in this league we have got to have a great backups for every position.
Score draw for me.
Our results at home have been impressive for a long time and I think Chelsea look flakey. Lampard doesn’t yet know his best side and key players are only just filtering back, which could work to our advantage.
That said, I’m not sure we’re playing well enough with or without the ball to convince me of a victory.
Definitely Saisse in for Boly for me. Romaine has been on top form when played this season and I have no fears about draughting him in. Jonny too should get the nod over Vinagre.
Chelski have shown little so far this season and with the breather our boys have had, I can see our first three points being won in emphatic style. There’s no doubt we need ’em.
Wolves 1
Chelsea 0
No points yet on the predictions so if I go for a loss we will probably win but I find it very difficult to predict a loss so going for a 1-0 victory
Big hole at the back with Bolly missing and sadly the league form of some of the others at the back has been poor so far. We need a league win soon but can’t see it coming from this one, 2 – 2 draw for me.
I’m still worried about our defendingz and today seems much harder with Boly out.
The pattern of Chelsea’s matches so far this season has been a first half of bright, attacking play and then a second half riddled with defensive uncertainty.
Meanwhile, our own form in the PL has not been entirely satisfactory either. We’ve been more vulnerable defensively than we were last year and have sometimes struggled to score as well.
Chelsea’s gung-ho, front foot style will suit us, but we may fail to stop them scoring too. Both sides are looking to get their PL season properly underway. We haven’t won a game in the league yet and Chelsea have won only one. I somehow think that neither side will find the first win that they’re both super-keen to get on Saturday and so it sounds like a score draw to me.
I’m going for a 2-2 draw and I may regret not going for 3-3.
Straight forward Wolves win for me to put us back on track.
No messing about, the defence holds firm, the midfield spreading balls left and right and our fearless two at the front bagging goals each with a Neves grabbing a Neves stunner.
Wolves 4
Chelsea 0
Onwards & Upwards
Not sure which Wolves will turn up but Nuno would have had a couple of weeks to plan his tactics! Tight win for Wolves. Bragging rights for this game is VERY IMPORTANT. My brother is a big Chelsea fan, and I am a fanatical Wolves, and for the past 50+ YEARS, the winner reminds the loser in no uncertain terms the result!!
Good article in today’s Grauniad on the new and improved Adama Traore
Clearly a work in progress but I’m banking on him causing more havoc down Chelsea’s left side and laying on several chances for Cutrone and/or Jimenez
I’d take a draw ..but hell no
With Moutinho Neves and our BF Belgian bossing the middle it’s a welcome 3 points
OODCL
Ps to Mike,Mark,Clive, Stu,Bedford and Steve… thx guys , your words meant a lot to both of us
Sneaky feeling this will be a draw. In fact I dreamt so 3 days ago. Really !! A long throw-in by one of our subs on the sideline (still wearing hi-vis vest), Helder Costa slipped the ball in to me and I slotted in the bottom left hand corner for a 3-3 result (in the 89th minute). I suppose not much of that can become reality other than the draw. (Although utilising one of the subs on the sideline for the throw ins can be seen to be very innovative).
Looks like you were playing for Leeds!
Will be an interesting game and will probably just edge it as Chelsea aren’t who they used to be if we get one goal their heads will drop and we will get more
I think we will win this one, but not easily. Our defence is not where it needs to be yet and Boly’s absence will only amplify this.
I am going for an extra Lord Twix in the packet !
Need to win this one and get some points on the board. Frankie has a few injury concerns to deal with, so fingers crossed
But for Hazard’s performance at theirs we would have got 6 points of them last season
interested to see what the defensive line up is going to be without Boly
Taking the Chelsea Pensioner(my old man !!) along with me tomorrow , will make him walk home if they win
COYW
Following a rain sodden day in South Lakeland yesterday we are looking forward to a pleasant sunny drive tomorrow as we progress slowly down that major arterial route known as the M6 to Molineux.
We took our grandson to the Burnley game on the way back from a holiday in Devon. He lives in Algarve and is a member of Algarve Wolves. (Most football fans in Portugal seem to look enthusiastically on our lads and it is interesting to have that link which helps to start up conversations ) .After the Burnley game we met Mr Moutinio. What a delightful person. He told us he spent 10 years living near Portimao.
As for Saturday’s game, it will be very different from the Burnley game. Burnley do what they do very well, especially with far fewer resources. But that did not, at least on the last occasion , make for an attractive watch. In fact, that game was as one sided as the previous fixture last year when Burnley couldn’t get a kick. I anticipate a much more open , interesting and exciting spectacle and expect a narrow victory with several goals.
I
Score draw
Hard to call as both teams have there problems. Jonny should start and Romian at the back. We need Neveis to up his game he has it in him but we have only seen it in bits and drabs so far in the Premier League this season he has been playing far to deep in our own half .
I just think we lack depth in the midfield since we let Cav go which I think was a mistake……only my humble opinion.
The midfield is key with Donk and Matinio in there I think we have a chance but we must be on our game at the back and cut out the mistakes I’d even put Ruddy in we have to keep Tammy quite.
I can only see another frustrating draw.
Both teams are battling at the moment, but hopefully with our great home supporters rallying the team, it will spur Wolves on to a much needed win.
I just hope that for once they try to have a more positive start, as they always seem to be worryingly slow at the beginning of games.
Well according to the prediction league I know nothing! How can that be when I know everything about football and the way it should be played?! Crazy.
So good to get proper football back after the international games 🙂
Onto to Saturday then…..
Two teams that could do with a win. Think it will be close with nothing much in it.
A draw seems to be likely. (see, I told you I know everything about football!)
In May 1968 I went on a week long school trip to Broadstairs. We stayed at The Chandos Hotel. I was 11 and it was the first time I’d been away from home. The Monday before I went I saw us lose 0-1 at Stamford Bridge to a last minute Peter Osgood goal. We were in deep trouble at the wrong end of the table in our first season back in the top flight. On the Saturday evening in Broadstairs after dinner our teacher Mr Luke – a flame haired Man Utd fan from Morecambe who was also our school football coach – asked if anyone wanted to know the football results. By a strange twist of fate we were playing Chelsea again but this time at Molineux. Did I want to know the results? Did I ever! So Mr Luke read them out, in order so we were the last result he read (I think he did that deliberately as he knew how passionate I was about Wolves) …….”Wolves 3 Chelsea 0″. I was over the moon Jeff. The following Saturday when I was back home in North London we beat those smashing chaps Spurs 2-1 in the last game of the season to confirm our survival and in fact we finished 17th out the 22 teams.
Last week to celebrate our Ruby Wedding Mrs BW and I embarked on a week long tour of the South Coast stretching from Kent in the East all the way across to Cornwall in the West finishing up in Talland Bay which is where we spent our honeymoon all those years ago. Whilst in Kent we went to Broadstairs and eventually found a car park with some spaces but it was one of those new-fangled ones where you can only pay by phone. I needed the location of the car park. “We are in Chandos Square” said Mrs BW. What? I turned around and sure enough right behind me as if untouched by time was The Chandos Hotel. What were the chances eh? Unbelievable Jeff!
So without a shadow of a doubt and without question the result this week will be exactly as dear old Mr Luke said over 51 years ago……………”Wolves 3 Chelsea 0″

Great story Bedford. Hope you had stops at Hastings and Paignton on that journey (they’d be my own top picks) – and hope you’ve got the score prediction right for Sat!
Thanks. We were close – stopped in Eastbourne and Torquay.
Hi Bedders,
Broadstairs sends a shiver down my back, I was sent to a boarding school there after the first day it was completely shite.
A Saturday 3pm kick off against Chelski, bring it on, which boozer are you using today ? Shaun and I will pop in and buy our mates from Bedford a beer.
Hi Bazza – was the school ‘approved’? ? Don’t think we have time for drinking today as train times don’t help but might have time for one in The Moon Under Water after the game before our 545pm train home. Anyway I don’t drink.
Yes it was approved by my parents.
How long you been on the wagon, a week or two?
I’m on a whisky diet. I lost three days last week.
I am going for the same score as last season. Jimenez with a brace.
Difficult to call I’m afraid . If we play like we did against Burnley and Everton….god help us ! Not entirely sure Saiss in for Boly is gonna work . I would prefer Jesus personally . If we play to our strengths and don’t give the ball away we should be fine…just depends on which Wolves team turn up on the day…..fingers crossed
COYW
I’m sure a fair few of us would prefer Jesus as he ought to be able to work a few miracles. Personally, I’d prefer Saiss over Vallejo.
A hard one after break, still hoping for first win, can’t see it this game, a draw methinks
If some of those Chelsea fans you’ve quoted on here ever comment about the wolves on this site they’d get a thousand down votes, at best. =D
Would be a shame not to win given how naive and fragile Chelsea look at the moment. But it won’t just happen, it will need a big performance.
Saiss starts at the back for me.
The Golden sun will be beating down on the Golden Palace, illuminating Mander House which is up there with Sydney Opera House, The Hanging Gardens of Babylon and The Grand Canyon as one of THE wonders of the world. The Chelsea players will be so mesmerised by Mander House that they go in to a trance like state. So trance like that Tammy Abraham will think he is still in a Villa shirt and thus surrounded by shit players. This Villa like state will transpose to the rest of the team as they resort to running around aimlessly and obviously ‘Minding the Gap’. The confused Tammy will approach Frank Lampard for advice on the side lines but inadvertently address him as ‘Dean’. The offended Frank, unable to recognise the unusual state amongst his team induced by a spectacular Mander House in the sunshine, will unfortunately glance up at Mander House himself and become another victim of its lure. Walking slowly up and down his technical area shouting ‘ I am Dean Smith, I am Dean Smith’ a bit like a Dalek. Whilst all this is going on, the Wolves team immune from the Mander House insanity, will be running amok out on the pitch and securing an emphatic 3-0 victory. After the game Frank said ” In all my years in the game, it is the first time a 1960’s office block has ever caused me to think I am Dean Smith. I have an appointment with my GP on Monday”. Nuno said ” I must thank the fans. This is why we play. I also give special praise to Mander House. When I first arrived in Wolverhampton I thought it was some sort of Care Institution from the 1960’s full of people who think they are Dean Smith. Mind the Gap” WWFC 3 Chelsea 0.
Saiss filled in perfectly when Boly was sent off at Citeh last season, so for me that’s a no-brainer. But what do I know ? Us to sneak it.
I’m expecting Nuno’s nouse to overcome Lampard’s lack of managerial experience for some fun in the afternoon sun.
I agree that a top-six finish would be a success for Lampard this season. You only have to look at how Leicester, Everton and West Ham have started to know that it’s going to be competitive at the top end of the table this season. That being said, they still have lots of quality and will be a major challenge for us on Saturday.
I would personally go with Vallejo in Boly’s absence. I’m a big fan of Saiss’ but he’s never convinced me as a centre-half.
Not sure what to expect come full-time but another win over the Blues would be a poetic way of kick-starting our league campaign.
UTW!
No match has a foregone result for us in my opinion and I really never have any idea as to what the score will be, but let’s go for a three two win despite missing the impressive Boly. I do wish we would stop pretending we are not affected by the Europa games when we evidently are. The back three looked mentally and physically knackered last game and were so poor in the air. Bennett is usually sound in aerial combat but he was unable to get off the ground and was targetted mercilessly. We should be back to normal following the break, but how much will we miss Boly?
Predicting victories isn’t doing me any good at the moment and even though Chelsea are more predictable now Hazard has predictably moved to Madrid I’m going to predict a defeat which I predict will then leave me close to the bottom of the prediction league. How predictable is that?
Bit early in the season to call any game as being crucial but we really could do with our first win and take our EL form into the PL. Saiss is an able deputy for Willy and I would start Matt at wingback. We have sorely missed the Docs link up play and key goals this season. Accept that Traore is becoming a very effective impact sub but his defending at this level is not good enough in close games. Jimenez played the full game on Wednesday in Argentina and can’t see him being 100% for this game. Cultrone looking sharp though and simply needs a little luck and may open his account tomorrow. If Doc starts, I forecast a narrow win. Draw more Iikely though
I’m really looking forward to this one
Going to the match with a Chelsea fan ….and despite our performance at Goodison just cant see the new Chelsea hurting us
2-1
Brief comment from holiday. I can see us pulling ourselves together after that loss to Everton. Hard fought 2-1.
concerned about our fragile defence, partic without Willy.
Would love a win, and we should go at them after our rest, but a draw isnt a disaster.
Saiss in for Bolly, that will do for me.
Will be out so won’t be able yo watch this one live so I’ll watch it in a state of drunkenness when I get home
Then again in the morning in a state of sobriety
We will win both games
Happy 130 to Molineux
Utw
I’m hoping for our first win and think we should be able to manage it. Probably prefer Saiss to Vallejo but feel we are weaker with either than with WB. Am going for a win, but a close one. COYW
Love a Saturday 3pm kick off and whilst Im proud to see Woles playing in the Europa I will miss the league games kicking off at the ‘right’ time. A bit like last season i think this is an important game. If we lose it we might start to look over our shoulders a bit which would potentially restrict our natural game. Im feeling confident that a sunny Mol will get to see a home win 2-1.
I reckon it’s our turn for a win, come in lads, let’s get on the scoresheet properly!!!!
Have to play our paciest replacements against two very quick attackers tomorrow, Saiss hasn`t got the legs for it,, so for me the young Spaniard or that young lad from the under 23s, I mean whats the point of a `reserve team` unless someone moves up when required.
Our back 3 played in the championship winning side, so Im hoping its not one season too many for Bennet and crew, while the loss of Boly is fortunately only one game. Sure to a cracking atmosphere, and Im looking forward to seeing how our chief coach sets the team up, we could do with the three points tomorrow.
Time we registered a victory. Going for a closeish 2 – 1
Me too Steppen. A tight game hopefully the 12th man in the South Bank will see us home if the lads give us something to cheer.
COMBs!
Great picture doing the rounds at the minute of Nuno in goal for Porto in 2004 denying Frank Lampard. Think he might just deny him again tomorrow in our first league win of the season.
I think we are going to get exposed in this game.Too many players away on national duty, not enough time on the training ground,to address our last performance.Heart says time for a NES master stroke, with an anniversary back drop, rocking mol,and a Jimenez goal, but my football brain says loss.
Not convinced we can beat Chelsea, they still have players that can cause us big problems. Would love a win, but think it will be another draw.
This international break seems so much longer than those before it. Okay, it is just me – but I can’t wait for tomorrow.
The corresponding game last season saw a fine light show and our boys also sparkled. The 130 year celebrations tomorrow will, hopefully, lead to another dazzling display, with Saiss seamlessly stepping in for Boly.
Leaping Wolf prematch anyone?
we have a reputation for losing after these breaks, but this time the break may have given most of the players a rest; we’ll need to be at the top of our game anyway; I rate Tammy Abraham, but hope to see our two, Diogo and Raul get on the score sheet.
Reading the Chelsea assessment has filled me with confidence. In fact I now have a strong feeling that this will be a famous hammering. Standby for full on focus on Frank Lampards Chelsea crisis and very little on Nuno’s brilliant team and tactics.
Two struggling sides in the PL equals a draw.
Can’t see a clean sheet for us without Boly. Saiss / Vajello and Traore leaves us at huge risk.
Chelsea start well and fade, we start poorly and charge home, so expecting to need to come from behind (again).
Always a bit fearful after an international break. We are up against a very good, but also vulnerable, Chelsea team.
We need to win, otherwise pressure will build.
I expect Saiss in for Boly and otherwise our strongest 11 to start.
I’m going both teams to score + Wolves win @9/2
This feels like a pivotal game in our season
3pts definitely are required
My prediction has to work at some point! Was debating a draw as if I predict that they’re bound to win but I’ll go with the usual!
Not liking the way Wolves are doing the loyalty points now for the league matches! By the time my loyalty allocation came around there were no tickets left for Watford! Never had that issue before!! Heaven help those with less points than me!
COYW
Jota and Jimenez back to firing. Can’t wait for a regular 9am game back in the States!
Back to my perfect view of the action at Molineux not like my seat at Everton, my neck ached after the game trying to see round the pillar on front of us!
A 2-0 win to the lads, Will we miss Boly? Of course we will, but last time Saisse played there he did so well we wondered if Boly would get his place back!
Got to get s result today
Cmon u wolves
Jesus H Christ…………….!
I always preferred cricket as a sport
This could get embarrassing, just shows the quality Chelsea have in there reserves.
They have stepped up…….we have the same team out as last season bar a loan player……!
Fuckin hell……..just goes to show what happens when you stand still in the Premier League……..I said this was to much for the same squad to handle forget Europa League…….knew this would happen……slag me off if you want but this is relegation form 3 draws 2 loses
For fucks sake,
nuno has been replaced by an alien ………absolutely certain
To much faith put in the sqaud from last season by Nuno and it’s showing.
Nothing on our bench new or different to alter things apart from Catrone our only new purchase this summer.
Chelsea kids have stepped up ours will be ready in 2 to 3 years .
Lake of foresight and investment is showing I’m sorry if that upsets a few on here but it’s true.
All our completers have invested, Everton West Ham foxes.
It says slotabout about a recruitment over the summer that we are missing Bennett, Boly and Doherty .
Midfield today stood on half way line for there fifth goal hands on hips not bothering to track back.
Coady had a shocker……!
Drew the second half 2-2. We should get half a point.
Don’t beat yourselves up everyone…
A while back we saw this game as a free hit… one we weren’t expected to get a point let alone a win.
Some defensive naivety, a wonder goal, a crap referee and linesmen… and we have the recipe for a defeat.
I’m gracious to lose, Chelsea we’re ok … but we weren’t.
Cutrone will bring some much needed whooomf but it’s not all doom and gloom….
What an amazing journey …………. I am home already, no traffic heading North.
Oh yeah, the game ……… that young kid Mason-Mount is handy.
See you all on Thursday. Thx for your company today Dougie.
I’ll keep it short but in simple terms if doc is fit he plays , the Traore experiment isn’t working one bit
Terrible all over the pitch today, no complaints from me, we were shocking. There’s no getting away from it our squad isn’t good enough.
We looked tired, and the worst part inept of ideas which is strange for us.
Nothing we can do at the moment but to play through it and hopefully eat back to wine ways come Thursday and hope it rubs off at palace.
