It would be nice to cancel out those five straight league defeats with five straight victories.
With three wins already in the bag and two winnable fixtures in the next five days, it’s certainly possible.
But our performance levels at Molineux this season have been woeful so I don’t think anyone will be counting chickens.
Based on our home form alone we’d actually be in the relegation zone, cut adrift from safety (see the table here). Compare that to sitting fifth in the away table and it’s a pretty stark contrast.
With six of our remaining nine games at Molineux, we need to address this imbalance.
Cardiff
While we’re talking about theoretical tables, Neil Warnock said this week Cardiff would be third based on their results since he took over earlier in the season.
Much like he did at Rotherham, he’s turned their fortunes right around. You can’t deny he’s a great manager at this level.
It was interesting to hear him speak quite disparagingly about former Wigan boss Warren Joyce a few weeks ago and he went on to claim there weren’t many good managers around.
I’d disagree with this statement as I actually think the Championship have a lot of talented coaches. Perhaps not with his experience, but strong characters who I’d expect to see manage in the Premier League at some point.
They’re already talking about a promotion push next season but I think that’s quite premature. Good luck to them but things can turn sour in this league very quickly.
Wolves
I think Paul Lambert has to really go for it in the remaining home fixtures. Play the matchwinners as he did at Fulham, be a bit more open and just go all out for the win. If he does that, the crowd will respond.

That team oozes with pace and attacking potential. Weimann has got himself a couple of goals playing through the middle so must be persevered with.
The presence of Cavaleiro and Marshall really does free up Helder Costa to play to his maximum, while those two players have proven very useful themselves in this little winning run.
There’s been a lot of talk this week about creating a positive atmosphere inside Molineux but for me the manager really sets the tone on a match day with his team selection.
Predictions
If you’re looking at this game, Forest next Tuesday and Bristol City away next weekend as a block, you’d probably say this one looks the toughest.
I expect Cardiff to be physical, well drilled and tough to breakdown. A very typical Championship outfit.
But if Paul Lambert is bold in his approach, I think we might just win it.
2-1.
Up The Wolves!

More or less the same team – and system – as at Fulham, 4231,
Edwards played deep alongside Evans and a proper creative ‘number 10’ in Cavaleiro.
If no Ikeme then play Burgoyne over Lonergan any day for me.
I’d also bring in Williamson for Batth.
I’d also definitely NOT play Saville.
Subs to include Saiss, Enobakhare, Dicko, Bodvarsson and Iorfa.
Will be in the APV from 1pm.
My 6th consecutive game and, hopefully, our 4th consecutive win. But it will be tight I think.
OODCL
I like this new medication,
now that really made me smile UTW
BET365 are offering odds of 500/1 on 6-2 and “others available on request”
7:2 would be worth a punt as
a) it’s about time we gave someone a right good spanking
and
b) Leicester won the prem!
but wouldn’t recommend adding it into an acca
I just hope PL picks the same side as Fulham, please . No new formations, leave that for another day. On wards and hopefully up wards. COYW !!!
No Wards, please!!!
I’m expecting a tough game but an entertaining one as well. I think the team up above looks about as good as we’ve got and I think we’ll see some goals due to our attacking players. We’ll leak goals at the back though as long as batth plays so on that note I’m going for a score draw. Williamson can’t return quick enough for me
I’m with you Ferris, particularly re Danny.
Warnock is a wily old fox and Cardiff are really good at set pieces, which always seems to be our achilles heel in trying to defend them – imo Ikeme is as much to blame as the defenders in this respect.
Hope I’m wrong, but this is going to be a tough examination.
As Thomas says, difficult to predict when we don’t know what team Lambert’s gonna put out. I’d like to see the team that finished at Brentford minus Danny with Williamson replacing him if he’s fit.
COYW!
Enjoyed Fulham no end – everything from the overall performance to the pre match refreshments.
Same team and line up please Mr Lambert.
Same result will do nicely as well.
Bedford Wolf driving tomorrow so I can enjoy a pre match beer.
Roles reversed on Tuesday for the Notts Forest game so BW can fill his boots.
Spring is here, warmth in the sun, garden is looking a treat, Wolves on the up, grandchildren are wonderful, it’s great to be alive folks!!
BOG
Sorry, I forgot herewith my first forecast for 3 months
Onwards and upwards – well at least make security from relegation our first priority.
Until next season – against my better judgement have renewed the season tickets.
Time to put in a really positive home performance. The International break might have refreshed a few players and l hope that they can all get over this presumed lack of confidence in front of what is one of the best fan bases around. Keep up this latest momentum lads even though we almost know for definate that we be playing in this same league next season.
I hate fc*k*ng Warnock and I’m worried about the Mol factor.
I don’t know if you can play the same side at home as has been so successful at Brentford and Fulham. The side you have picked is very effective at hitting sides on the counter with the pace it possesses. At the Mol sides will be happy with a point and will wait for us to come at them. It’s a difficult one but I guess we ought to be giving them the opportunity to see how they perform at home. Pleased to see you have selected Evans at last Thomas – Our results are so much better with him in the side, (he’ll no doubt have a nightmare now).
Who different would you have in the team in a home line-up, and how would this team play any differently/better?
I don’t really have the answers although I have already explained why they may need to play differently at home where the onus will be more on us to attack. We are very good at hitting sides on the break because of the pace we have in the team. If space behind the back four is denied us by the opposition sitting back it will negate that – at least to some extent. While I have the concerns I have already outlined above I’ve also suggested that the team that won at Brentford and then at Fulham deserve at least a chance to show what they can do at home.
My concerns are that this particular line up leaves us open to counter attack if we really go for it – which we will probably do if Cardiff sit back and deny us space. Dave Edwards is very good at winning the ball back high up the field but I think there may be a danger that Evans, along with the back four, could be exposed on the break. Warnock will have watched how we have played in the last two games and I don’t think Cardiff are likely to push up as much as Brentford and Fulham, especially away from home. This is why it is likely to require a different game plan.
If I was pushed as to where I might change things it would probably be to the way we play rather than personnel. It would be difficult to leave out Weimann. Marshall, Costa or Cav after the last two matches. I would try to encourage Cardiff to come at us perhaps by falling back and surrendering midfield when they have p[ossession. When they push up there is space behind which the pace of Costa, Cav etc can exploit although I doubt Warnock would fall for that.
I have no guarantees that whoever is selected the team will “play any better”. Hopefully my concerns are without foundation but I’m glad it will be PL making the decisions. I hope that if Cardiff do sit back and frustrate us the crowd won’t get restless. Maybe the team which played in the last two games will start in this one and play Cardiff off the pitch – I’ll be delighted if that turns out to be the case.
Seems a sensible team, evans/price seem to be ok for a few games then go off we need more consistency from them. Seems nobody dared to ask when the Redrow signs (dull shitty red things foreverer linked to the past) would come down at the fans parliament ?. New sound system great as the present one is shit, the echo sometimes has been horrendous. Warnock got to give him credit for what he does but lets make a dent in their run
Agree wholeheartedly on the Redrow signs AND the sound system – sitting in the North Bank I genuinely don’t have a clue half the time what is being announced. Whilst on the subject of changes for next season to help the Molineux atmosphere and supporter relations let’s also (a) ditch Money Shop as shirt sponsors, (b) never again have such a God awful away strip as this season – should be white with gold and black trim and (c) restore The Liquidator as our ‘running out’ music.
Agree with all of those perhaps Fosun will be the sponsor and it will help ? with bending FFP rules ?
Strip should be something that is attractive for the supporters to wear generally white with gold and black trim seems good.
Liquidator is in our DNA and should be used.
I still think that we need another 8-9 points to be safe this season. That should put Blackburn out of reach and the other two appear to be cut adrift at the bottom now.
If we continue with our current form we will be safe after the Bristol City game but tomorrow will be the toughest test out of the next 3 games.
I fancy a win but am predicting a draw so that I don’t jinx us.
I really like Warnock, he is always very interesting to listen to on TalkSport and is a proven manager at this level with excellent work at Cardiff and Rotherham these last two seasons. So I think this could be a tough fixture but if we line up the same as the last couple of games and play strong from the start then we hopefully have enough to win this. Worried though about our home form and the fact we always lose after an international break.
If we do win then this weekends fixtures could all go our way. Blues and Ipswich are playing each other so at least one of them will drop points and Blackburn, Bristol City, Burton, Wigan & Forest all away from home.
I’m with you on Warnock Newt. I can never understand why so many have a downer on him. He seems to be successful wherever he goes.
Senior moment – forgot to put the score in.
Narrow win for the Wolves!
It seems to be stating the obvious that this is a tough game, ’cause we’ve found every home game tough in this topsy turvy season. Our last two performances have been excellent so to go with the same, or similar, line-up would look the smart thing to do. But those games have been away from home where the onus is on the opposition to come at us.
However, when you look at those two performances and the ability we have up front, surely, surely we can repeat that at home against more negative tactics.
We seem to have found the right shaped holes for the pegs we have available and like you Thomas, I would make the minimum of changes. I can see 9points from the next three matches.
All I ask is that Saville is nowhere near the squad and that they play with the same intensity as at Brentford and Fulham.
If they do we should get the 3 points.
Also would pick Williamson over Batth
Agree with you 100% Tipton but you just know that Lambert will find a way of involving Georgie boy somehow.
I couldn’t agree more with you mate. Why Saville is picked puzzles me.Same team as Fulham yes please.
Hiya. Jerryd ..any chance you can make the ball mate ?
Nice to see you at Fulham / Liverpool.
Up the wolves
Actually think both teams will take a draw in this one , so a couple each me think , Edwards and costa would be the obvious scorers
I’d like to think we will win, but Cardiff in form and we may have lost momentum from the international break.
Its the start of Lamberts 9 game audition to keep his job in my opinion.
Very important game for WWFC: need to win to prove they are a team of some substance; need to win to get season ticket target. I will be impressed with a home win.
BOG: Notts County, Nottm Forest.
Really looking forward to the match, haven’t been to the Mol or seen the lads play since the cup game against Chelsea due to holidays and work commitments.
We know Warnock loves route one football, its effective but boring, and he`s great for rescuing lost causes, but his style has limitations against pace & movement by quick and better players. For me keep the same team and we can beat these easier than most bloggers think – I hope.
Expect a battle but a useful 3 points.
Did you check my reply to your post on the Bloggers Ball thread Mark. Menu is already there, you may just have missed the link.
Oh, and seeing as I am on here I might as well predict, so:
I like the cut of your jib when it comes to the team Thomas, although will Ikeme be fit?
If not, I too would play Burgoyne with no hesitation.
As for Williamson, there’s no doubt that he is an organiser and leader but, from what I’ve seen, his distinct lack of pace could be found out by a forward who can lurch into third gear so I would put Batth or Stearman in instead. (Cue catcalls from the usual suspects).
As far as the Bloggers’ Ballbash is concerned, Bedford asked for a trailer, so a trailer I have prepared.

Top class mate. Looking forward to what we spoke about even more now.

Forgot to predict.
Here’s my predicted score and also a sneak preview of two of the celebrity guests at this year’s Ballbash.
Tres bien monsieur – mais ou suis-Je?
Muy bien senor – pero donde estoy?
Top notch geezer – but where the effing ‘ell is yours truly?
Only joshing chief. I’m not bitter. Much.
You are truly a leg end.
Please accept my humble apologies mate.
i had my archivists trolling through my back catalogue (Oooh! Matron!) for hours and then this happens.
I have, of course, hung, drawn, quartered and cut the bollox off the lot of them and I will make sure they never work in the film industry again.
I suppose I should have put ‘trawling through my back catalogue’ but that wouldn’t have been so funny…
…and you haven’t seen my archivists!
Who’s that in front of brompton ?
I thought it was Clive behind Brompton.
Let’s hope for another positive result. The team should be full of confidence after the last showing. Would prefer Saiss with Edwards to protect the back 4 – but agree with the rest abt leaving GS out of it completely.
Will miss three matches due to a little excursion to India’s golden triangle and that’s not the take a way in Tipton high street. Hope we can turn around a poor run of results at home but Cardiff is not going to be an easy one to win, we need to be really in their faces from the start and I have a feeling that with our pace up front we will get the better of them and I would not be surprised at them being down to 10 men during the course of the game.
Can’t see us shaking off the Molinuex nerves and fully expect Warnock to tale full advantage so I see us missing out.
The Redrow signs and the Money shop signs will stay because of the good sponsorship deal, but the God awful away strip will be history after May 7th.
Wolves 0-1 Cardiff
That’ll save me some cash then – this season was the first time in about 25 years I haven’t bought the home shirt and if those parasites have another 2 years left on their shirt sponsorship deal I won’t be buying one till the Summer of 2019. Here’s hoping Fosun pay them off with some of their £1.2billion profits this year. As for Redrow well every time I look across at the Steve Bull stand I am reminded of that money-grabbing little Scouse git who bled us dry so if the club really wants a great atmosphere in the stadium they will rip them hoardings down and burn them and hang the cost.
Lorrie McPimple said, no money for Costa, PA system or Video walls, away shirt to be burnt at end of season (although he did say, he liked it) and Liquidator won’t be played. He’s crumbled on four fronts so let’s get Liquidator back to set the scene. As long as we change the last 4 words they will go for it.
Let’s try “Far Cough West Brom” in a Lundern accent.
As Fosun own ‘Club Mediterranean’ I think they would be good sponsors…
Looking forward to the game after the success achieved in the last 4 games.
But We Are Wolves and thereby lies the uncertainty.
Will we get the “front foot football” as promised and delivered in the last 2 or will we get the goddamn awful performance (even thou we got 3 points) against Rotherham…. I know I’m only 50/50 and I’m normally cup half full – I’m sure there’s some irony in there.
PL has to pick the team that the taffies have to deal with, play to our strengths and not worry about how he sets his team up or his long ball tactics.
We seriously fect him off in Cardiff in 2003 and we should do the same tomoz.
If it’s front foot, it’ll be a win, if it’s back foot with square/round pegs and changes to the line – expect the wrath of the Mol.
The Redcrow signs should stay as it’s the only way we’ll recoup any ill gotten scouse cash back.
The Money Shop will stay as it’s a three year deal – unless Fosun terminate and bring in a chinese deal for similar revenue
The second strip should go back to white to recreate our Halcyon days

Well, they won at both Derby and Leeds in February so I wouldn’t expect this to be easy – games against Colin’s lot never are – always organised and well-motivated. Their strength appears to be in midfield, tho’ Zohore up front seems to be a big, strong boy with goals in him. So their weakness would appear to be in defence. Given that, Lambert absolutely has to attack them. He suggested that when teams come to ‘park the bus’ we need to get round the outside and in behind them, so I would expect Cav to start wide left, with Costa on the right and either Marshall or Enobakhare in the ’10’ role. Hoping for 3 points but expecting a draw.
Good to have the footie back to normal. Cardiff will be tough and that along with our poor home form means it will be touch and go.
I used to dislike Warnock but I do respect the way he manages to turn teams around, fair play to him. I still dislike him a little 😉
The international break came at the wrong time for us. I just hope that it does not upset the team’s rhythm.
A draw is how I see it.
I like your team Thomas. Dangerous Dave is in and even Dodgy Danny. They have their detractors, but both had good games against Fulham. Cav and Costa are different class in this division and Weimann doesn’t stop running.
Cardiff in form? So were Fulham, they spanked Newcastle away remember?
My prediction is that our winning run will continue, more or less till the end of the season, and we will be left with regrets about what could have been. Still, Lambert needs the brownie points and the players need to restore pride and confidence. 3-1.
If we tear them a new orifice from the off and then 2-0 up at half time then it would of been PLs trade mark off the front foot.
But this is at home so who knows if the curse is about or not.
We should win this …I’d take a draw and a win with the nxt two=7 points..
I’m confident with Williamson or DB as we should be playing more up the pitch..
It’s that great defending leader we need who can guarantee that we don’t concede for me….shame we dont have that (yet ) unfortunately …
Roll on nxt season I’m cream crackered with this one…

Sods Law says we will waft around aimlessly tomorrow and let Cardiff boss the game whilst alienating a frustrated home crowd
Or maybe we unleash pent up frustrations and are 3-0 up by half time as per the play off game against Sheffield United
Thinking out loud here and I’m settled on a less than thrilling scrape tthrough and a tense finish as we hang on to a single goal lead
Meantime…will be trying to get a couple of tix for Ashton Gate tomorrow morning
Any bloggers planning to go ( ballbashers or not ballbashers) and up for a pint or two before game?
Would be nice to fix a rendezvous together and put faces to names…hopefully celebrating 5 consecutive wins….!?
I’ll be around for Brizzle Marin, but I ain’t sorted the wheels yet so can’t fix a meet.
Clean sheet.
Cav & Weimann to score twice each.
Time to circle the square and put those form tables into a state of equilibrium. 6 points at home for starters please.
3 points please lads
Hoping to carry on where we left off pre international waste of time.
I hope PL chooses a near enough same side as Fulham, but I won’t hold my breath.
PL likes to tinker so who knows who he’ll pick.
Cardiff are a useful side so expecting a game especially as (Thomas said )Warnock at the helm love him or hate him he gets his players foaming at the mouth, so in for a bumpy ride me thinks but I think we will shade it if PL does us right.UTW
I was watching Stargazing Live the other night and was amazed when one of the telescopes aimed at the moon spotted a Wales rugby shirt belonging to JPR Williams on the surface. I immediately thought ‘how the fuck did that get there’ ? Does Lee Evans have access to the NASA space station in Florida? Was he actually in Space during those couple of months on the sidelines? Well let’s hope he finds some space tomorrow. Hope so cos Warnocks dragons will get mauled by the Wolves. Eat your heart out Craig Bellamy. Hope your fuckin knee is better after Super Kevin Muscat ‘mistimed’ his tackle. Shit. Predicted a draw. Oh well that will do. As long as we beat Forest and doe lose at Brizzle. Take it easy chaps Wolves ay we!
If ever there was a time to but the hudo of the international break behind us this is the time. Year after year break after break be it we are going for promotion or in this case relegation we end up on the losing side.
We never seem to come out the blocks blazing after a break I cannot remeber the last time we won a game following a international break, but the odds are again stacked against us, Cardiff are on a roll and our home form is abysmal something has to chance sooner or later hopefully it’s sooner like tomorrow would be ideal.
I’m with Beford re: Savile and to be fair he hasn’t played that bad at the back BUT he loses concentration mid way through games he fades badley.
Wolves have won every game since I stopped predicting the result!!
Am I tempting fate again.
Must get my lucky rabbit foot, come here floppsy?
Should win, could win, may win…
After a break and at home?
Tough game this one, but hopefully a point here followed by three against Forest will see us a big step towards safety.
With regard to the “Fair Play” bollocks, they look at the previous three years ins and outs, and for the last two years under the scouser and greasel it was sell, sell, sell, so I ay worried about being brought up before the headmaster if we spend, spend, spend.
With regard to Molineux performances.
If our players give their all, and lose, the crowd will not get on their backs.
If our lot don’t try, and waltz through the game they will deservedly get some stick.
Any Wolves players reading this blog take note:
Show us you care, and we’ll be behind you.
Take the piss and you will never be forgiven.
Last time we stuffed Cardiff by a cricket score I was laying lino, badly, in Scooped’s new kitchen.
Aint gonna happen tomorrow…………….he’s forgot how to cook!!
Easy three points, and ready for a Forest fire next wick.

I like the optimism pity our home form fails to live up to it.

So come along and enjoy what could be a good night, Steve Daley is worth the effort for his comedy routine alone.
Are you sure because I’ve a vey important program hat Phil perks needs to sign .. I’ve taken it to to a lot of functions and missed him . It’s the last time I sat at wolves with my dad
He’s a great bloke, shall I sit him by you at the meal? Bring the program he’ll 100% sign it for you. (£35) charge.lol.
If we can prise him away from Steve Daley, they’re joined at the hip, best mates and all that.
I don’t mind who sits where , I’ll just be happy to get it signed , if he can’t make the dinner , can I leave it with you ?
I already have a seating plan.
I better be sitting by Jenny, she has to look after my seating arrangements as she feeds me nowadays.
Lol. The plan is:
Sit where the fek you want. I have name cards though with the chosen menu on the back to help all the old uns with dementia. The will be given to everyone as they take their seats.
great to have football back ! definitely want to beat Warnock.
I have a £5 wager with two colleagues, one a Cardiff fan the other Forest, as to which of our teams finish top at the end of the season. So I have a lot riding on the next two games. If Cardiff win they are out of sight.
I am split on the merits of the international break insofar as Wolves are concerned. On the one hand we were building some good momentum but, conversely, it gives them a chance to recharge batteries after an intensive period.
I can’t predict anything but a win.
Home win. To stuff willy warnock if nothing else!
Don’t tinker with a winning side – play Cav & Costa together at some point in the game and I think that we will win.
I’ll go for hard fought draw to remain unbeaten and win the next 2 games to keep us away from relegation 1-1.
Come on lads. Let’s stuff these turkeys! Gimme goals! Gimme goals! Gimme goals!!
Didn’t they spank us in The Principality? Haven’t we all been spanked in the principality at some time? Time to ditch our home hesitancy and ditch out a spankning of our own. I can’t imagine that PL won’t tinker with the starting eleven, but he seems to know what he’s doing.
I live near Portobello and there is a local store holder I have known for years.
Every Friday & Saturday I see him & we have a football discussion, he is an avid Fulham supporter.
His brother goes to every home match and he said Wolves were far and away the best team, Fulham have faced at Craven Cottage this season.
Neither him, nor any of his fellow fans could understand, how we were not in, at least, a play off position!
Positive for next year if we stay up.
May we beat Cardiff today!
BREAKING NEWS!!
I have just heard that APV Hotel is closing down for May and the Bloggers’ Ballbash is cancelled herewith!
And Brompton has absconded with the money paid for the meals.
And Jez Moxey has been reappointed CEO of Wolves.
And I’ve just realised what date it is!
And Stuwolf will pay you back the tenner he borrowed last year.
If normal rules apply, we should lose this game. How I long to see us play well at home. But those two away results have given me some confidence about today’s prospects. And if Caveleiro is back in alongside Costa and Weimann, they may stifle to cope with us. I hope.
TFI Saturday again
…and football is back
…and a home game
…and a couple of pints before the match
…with a couple after the match to celebrate for another win.
Come on!
Never liked Cardiff supporters, just like Leeds yobs. Don’t like Warnock either. So come on Wolves – give ’em a tanking.
Tried to leave a comment last night, no luck.
We can win this tough game. At some point, we will banish the Molineux jitters.
The same team as at Fulham please. That might be Thomas’s team, I can’t remember.
No aimless long hoof ball passes please
Burgoyne is out on loan, so unless he is recalled, it will the Lone Ranger in goal if Ikeme is not fit.
Everyone says that we counter well. Let’s just go for it with 2 wingers and batter the opposition from the off.
I am injured myself so I won’t get 90 mins until Bristol City. But my feeling is we have great attacking players and our defensive qualities are weaker. So, there is no point in trying to play it tight and park Busses etc.
Lastly, Liquidator yes and Far Canal StuWolf, not a bad adaptation
Feeling confident today, which means we will probably lose, lol.Still, going for a narrow win.
Great win
I hate Cardiff
Get in
Will travel back a happy bunny. Danny B was always going to be the first name on the team sheet the way Cardiff play. I just didn’t expect him to do the bizzo at the other end too. Four in a row and Tuesday to come. Who would bet against us making it five? A bit of a tinker by PL but it paid dividends. Marshall and Weimann looking decent imports. Just give PL control of the playing staff and transfers.
As Mr Punch used to say:-
“That’s the way to do it!”
Smuggins here, smugly reporting my correct forecast. I also forecast we would go on a great run till the end of the season, leaving us regretting what could/should have been. Lambert is gelling. If only we had hired him last summer! Dangerous Dave and Dodgy Danny excelled. And as for Costa, it’s gonna costa-lot by the time Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs have finished bidding for him.
My local club Chelsea were beaten by Hero Hennessey today. I know they fancy our Costa almost as much as Diego Costa. They could have done with both Costas today.
Dont want to take all the credit but knew we would be Ok as long as i didnt make one of my dumb predictions. After a tough year hope to be there on the last day to celebrate what i am calling promogation with all you other Blaggers.
Great result if only the season was starting and not ending and put the hudo of international break behind us.
I won’t see Wolves at home now this season as I’m working but got a ticket for Bristol City and hope to get one for Derby.
Trump still gobbing off,Teresa May pretending to be a leader..Danny Batth scores two goals..Wolves unbeaten in 5… has the world gone mad?
Went to the APV beforehand to size up the Ball-bash venue which was eerily devoid of bloggers for once.
Great team performance and result.
I don’t want to say I told you so. But I told you so. For week after week I said that playing three workhorses in central midfield with Edwards cast in the role of the creative player behind the striker – a role he cannot play – was rubbish and that we needed to play with a third skilful player in there. We finally did it at Brentford after an hour and hey presto a 0-1 defeat became a 2-1 win. We stuck with it at Fulham and again today and won both games 3-1. Smug mode on maximum.
Today whilst I would give Batth MoTM – no honestly – it was the Costa, Cavaleiro and Marshall triumvirate that saw us triumphant.
Don’t want to be negative but Lonergan was poor – Burgoyne should be our back up keeper – as was Evans. Saiss is immeasurably better than Lee.
That apart it was great.
P.S. Fosun – please do NOT sell Costa. With him in the side and 4 key signings we can cream this division next season.

Great to see SB singing Lambert giv us a wave. 4 wins on spin deserves it.
Great to see SB singing Warnock giv us a wave. & here endeth they 5 win run – FOYT
Heyyyyyy as the fonz used to say!
Another Mr Smug from Smugville City here with 2 x 3:1 predictions on the bounce……
Today we got PL’s “Front Foot Football” and a delight it was to see. Going forward we are becoming very good there’s no doubting that, but what if we had a 20 goal a year striker?
Also a special mention for Danny “nearly a hat trick” Batth MoTM and Costa – his goal was worth the admission fee alone and right in front of the SB
A message to Fosun – don’t sell him – if he goes you will receive the wrath of the fans and it will give us all a clear message.
Dear Helda Costa – you are already a big fish is a relatively small pond – stay and you WILL BE a very big fish is a large premiership sea….
Bring on Forest and Bristol –

Chilling in Dartford after a family party Saturday evening. M4 journey across from Wales had me glued to Wolves Wall trying to catch the match updates. So pleased for Danny B and looking forward to the Costa goal on the Championship when we get back home on late Sunday.
Well done Wolves! That should be us sorted for this season but a win on Tuesday, please, just to make sure.
I we sell Costa it would be as big (more) a travesty as letting Sako go….
We need him to share the glory nxt season and then take on the big boys..
Only just got back to Christchurch from the West Coast where Wifi is rarer than Rocking Horse manure.
I never even got to predict a 3-1 win such was the dilemma….still it’s the result and climb away from the R zone that’s most pleasing.
Great to read that the Bloggers Ballbash plans are going to plan and looking fwd to meeting with the mobsters in May….
From sunny NZ …Tara a bit xxx
Who’s Tara?
And does Eileen know about her?
No wonder I didn’t get it …Mrs TWIX isn’t named Eileen…!!! ….doh
For sometime now I’ve been worried about the effects of your medication Bedford….
Lol. Sorry, feeling great about the world today. Perhaps it’s the Tamsulosin that’s got me up! How’s NZ and more importantly how’s your family? Looking forward to seeing you both on 6th May mate.

Got to be pleased with that result. Safe now. Bring on next season.
Those Bloggers who are intending to dine at the ballbash are politely reminded to place your meal choice on the Bloggers Ball post, as I need to submit pre-orders to the hotel by the middle of this month. Thanks to all those already done so. I will post an update on here next week.
3-1 my Arse!
3-1 my arse!
So that’s how you won the prediction league last year – predicting after the game.
If ithe way that easy then Clive would have won.
Meant to say if it was that easy ….
