Consolidating 12th place. Not embarrassing ourselves on free-to-air television (again). Ending the Brighton hoodoo.
That’s three things to play for right there.

Dead rubber or not, I hope we can take some of the positives from the West Brom game and use them to construct another decent performance.
Having more possession, playing forward, and creating chances without being wide open at the back is the combination we’re looking for but haven’t achieved for months.
Working out who does and doesn’t belong in the pack next season is what it’s all about. There are still plenty of question marks.
Brighton
Victory for the Seagulls against Leeds last time out – allied with Fulham’s defeat and Albion’s draw – has virtually guaranteed safety for Graham Potter’s men.
But another win here will seal the deal. This game kicks off before the bottom three are in action so they’ll be keen to get the job done themselves.

The narrative around Brighton this season has been that they’re actually a great side, but just don’t take their chances. I’m not so sure that tells the whole story but the statistics do show they make and squander a lot of opportunities.
I had them down for relegation at the start of last season and thought the same again this time, but you can’t deny they’re a decent outfit and a more compelling watch under Potter.
Their away record is identical to ours, with 5 wins, 5 draws and 7 defeats. They’ve also got one of the better defensive records in the league too, having conceded just 39 goals.
As we know ourselves, if you’re solid at the back and play some decent football, you’re often only a good striker away from winning games in the Premier League, so they’ll feel good about doing better next season with the right recruitment.

The away end
Thanks to Scott from WeAreBrighton for sending over some thoughts ahead of Sunday’s game:
It has been another strange season for Brighton. Two wins from 18 was our worst ever start to a top flight season and yet here we are now, practically safe with four games to go and four points shy of our highest ever Premier League points tally.
The turning point was our second half comeback against you guys. Graham Potter again ditched his possession obsession, we became a much more pragmatic side who had less of the ball which suits our individual players’ skill sets and, bar a few disappointing displays, we have been really good in 2021.
Unless you have been living under a rock, you will know all about our problems scoring. If we performed to our xG, we could be fifth in the table. Brighton are potentially one clinical centre forward away from being a really good team.
That probably puts us in a similar boat to Wolves. From the outside looking in, Raul Jimenez has been a big miss for you, which just goes to show what a difference a quality striker can make at this level. The only problem of course is that 14 Premier League clubs are all after the same thing and shopping in the same market.
As for our trip to Molineux, Brighton having such an outrageous record against Wolves is something which nobody can logically explain. We played really well against Leeds (even if all anyone wanted to talk about afterwards was how poor Leeds had been) and although we are basically safe, Potter and the players will want mathematical certainty and to surpass 41 points.
Combine those three strands and you get quite a compelling argument as to why Brighton can pick up three points on Sunday. I’m never an optimist though, so I’d predict another draw – hopefully with more entertainment than the past two games at Molineux.
Wolves
I’ll be honest and admit I didn’t think the team Nuno put out at The Hawthorns would have enough to get a result, so it was a pleasant surprise how well they played.

I think I’m right in saying Vitinha has only started 3 Premier League matches this season – Man Utd, Brighton and Albion. He’s played well in all of them so it does make you wonder why he hasn’t had more minutes.
Otasowie has also been used sparingly and in strange ways, playing so well against Chelsea in a deeper role to announce himself. Then, in the very next game, bizarrely deployed as a false 9 at Burnley before difficult cameos at Brighton and Man City seemed to push him out of the picture. I’m not sure the right side of midfield is going to be his long term position, but he got through a lot of good work there on Monday.
The team instantly felt more dynamic with those two players prepared to move with the ball rather than the static side-to-side we’ve become accustomed to this season. Traore had one of his poorer games, but for once, there was an alternative route to goal. I hope we see more of the same this weekend and it will be a good test for those young players against better opposition.
Last time out
I still can’t believe we didn’t win that game The Amex back in January. 3-1 up, stroking the ball around for fun, and Traore barrelling past Dan Burn every time he had possession. It then became a lesson in how not to manage a two-goal lead.

It’s been a stalemate in the last two meetings between these sides at Molineux with barely a sniff of a goal. Wolves have only managed 1 win in the last 13 games between the two sides and it’s been 15 years since we last beat them at home.
Predictions
Well done to Steppenwolfe, JackoMac, BG, robc306, West Parkian and DeptfordWolf who all correctly predicted the 1-1 scoreline on Monday.
Brompton Wolf remains at the top of the overall table at the end of Gameweek 34.
As always if you’d like to join in, simply leave your prediction for this game in the comment section below, which is where you’ll find my best guess.
Up The Wolves!

Thomas Agree with most of the team apart from. I’d swap Saiss for Kilman and put Saiss in for Dendonker, Saiss has more of a goal threat than Dendonker.
I think Brighton have the longest boggy team tag against us. Home or away we just cannot beat them for love or money .
We will have to tighten up at the back we need to stop the cross’s coming in at source get tight close down there wingers. Also need to be aware of Welbeck he’s not the player he was at Utd be he is still dangerous and is not on a bad run.
With our injuries and form and the opersition I don’t hold out any hope of a win probably a draw at best.
I’ve got a feeling Brighton will get the result because they’ll be going full tilt to secure their own safety rather than relying on others to do it for them.
What I’d like to see from Wolves is the same approach we got against the other Albion – getting on the ball, trying to control the game with possession, and finding inventive ways to open up the opposition’s defence.
If they can put it all together again and Traore can do a bit more, there’s every chance we can get a result.
Yep, sadly I concur. I would like to see same team as last outing played as was actually interesting to watch (again). I see we are so low down the watchable stakes that the BBC has the privilege on Sunday. Still, preserving 12th position would be good… for those of us who lived through our former times in the premiership
It’s a really good summary of both teams That
I’m going for a Wolves win , I think we’ve another gem in Vitinha
The next three fixtures after this one are difficult, so it is imperative that we get these 3 points. Can’t say I am very confident as Brighton can be decent at times. Would keep Vitinha, Ostasowie, Fabio to start, and bring in Killman for Dendonker or Saiss. There are rumors that Moutinho may be fit so he might play. Stick to 4 at the back as it gives us more going forward, and hopefully they can hold Brighton’s limited attack.
Not sure what to expect so will go for a bland draw, the first draw I have predicted for the season! Sign of the times!
Lawro and Sky have us down to lose this game 2-0 . Apparently we have nothing to play for and Brighton will be all over us lack a rash !
Please Dr Nuno have the boys fired up for this one . Same eleven as against the shite with the exception of bringing in Kilman . Play the four at the back and experiment going forward but overall don’t lie down and take another Sunday lunch time hammering.
I am making the effort to get up and mis my Sunday morning lie in…lets hope the players do as well…………COYW
It’s difficult to see us winning this based on our history with Brighton. I hope that the team is similar to Monday night but maybe with Kilman replacing Saiss and Moutinho coming in for Dendonker.
Would love to see a win but I am expecting a draw.
“I have heard people rant and rave and bellow
That we’re done and we might as well be dead,
But I’m only a cockeyed optimist
And I can’t get it into my head” *
Saturday: Bath to beat Bristol.
Sunday: 4 – 0 Wolves with a Fabio Silva hat trick; roast dinner with rhubarb crumble to follow; Hamilton to win the Spanish Grand Prix; Baggies relegated.
What a weekend! I can’t wait.
* With thanks to Oscar Hammerstein II and Richard Rodgers
You certainly ARE a cock eyed optimist if you think Bath are going to beat Bristol.
I used to go down the Rec regularly when Bath were in their pomp. Not quite the same anymore. But I hope you’re right.
I hope you’re right about Fabio’s hat trick too.
Roast dinner and rhubarb. Never in doubt!
Slight emendation to my Sunday schedule!
Between Hamilton winning the Grand Prix and the Baggies getting relegated I’m having my second covid jab.
The weekend just gets better.
I think you might be right about Bath, DOOGooder, but I won’t let spoil it.
And I’ve just realised: it was 61 years ago today I saw my first Wolves match!!!
Using my rudimentary knowledge of maths, I reckon that was the FA Cup Final against Blackburn.
Were you there or just watching ont’ telly?
And if you’re a Bath supporter, where do you live now?
Yes, it was the FA Cup Final.
I was there, we didn’t have a TV in 1960.
As I was only 5, I don’t remember the game, just the awe of being in a place with so many people. I went with my Dad, Grandad and another bloke who I think was a friend of my Grandad’s. Grandad was a season ticket holder and managed to get four tickets. Supporting Wolves is in the blood.
My main memory is of the journey. My Grandad drove a big black Wolseley and always drove with the window open. I was freezing in the back.
It must have had a positive impression though as I rarely missed a home match after that until I moved away in 1974 to join the Navy.
I lived in Warminster for just over 10 years and went to the Rec regulary in the Stuart Barnes era, but I can’t say I’m a proper Bath supporter. If they lose in a good game I don’t get upset. If Bristol do win on Saturday, good luck to them.
If Wolves lose a game I can sink into a depression lasting days.
I grew up in Willenhall and I’m now in the Lake District.
I am the other Wolves fan in The Lakes, living in Kendal!
And I am another Wolves fan in the Lake District living in Keswick!
I had a studio in Laura Place which overlooked The Rec and used to drink in The Boater pub. Stuart Barnes, Tricky, Big Roger Spurrell, Chilcott et al were often down there, or in ‘Bog Island’ club, getting hammered.
That’s fitness training for you! How were they ever so successful?
Used to go on walking holidays in The Lake District. Scafell, Helvellyn, Great Gable…. Wainwright in one hand, sarnies and thermos in the other.
Those were the days.
We played much better last time out and created some good chances. Should have won the game. But we still only managed to score via an outrageous deflection. We certainly haven’t yet unlocked the problem of how to get this side to score goals on a regular basis
Brighton have similar issues as well, as documented by Thomas and Scott above. They will be pushing for a win for sure, which may open up their decent defense a bit, but I reckon they will also settle for a point if that’s the way it is looking as the game comes to a close.
If Brighton manage to get the first then they will be able to shut up shop and keep us out. So I think most likely result here is a narrow defeat.
As Paul AD67 has already so aptly said:-
Brighton “have the longest boggy team tag against us”.
With the atrocious weather against sandwell, I thought that we would both end up boggy teams.
It’s true that for some reason best known to the Gods of football, we cannot beat teams that have the word ‘Albion’ in their name.
However, a performance like the last one, with Kilman in the back three and Moutinho back to add a bit of bite in mid field, we’ve got a decent chance.
Here’s hoping.
We have to give Kilman a start and put Moutinho for Dendoncker play the same as against WB and a win is on the cards.
I like watching Brighton and obviously love watching wolves but just not at the same time. I’ll say a score draw. Silva to score again
have by and large been going 1-1 on all my predicitions except when we draw 1-1
However if this isn’t a draw it means we have won!!!!(or lost …)
Come on lads! lets make the end of season something to smile about
Really cannot work up any sort of enthusiasm for this, or any of the remaining games, except them red turds.
I always back us to win and won’t change for this one. Brighton are definitely easy on the eye however and the corresponding fixture was a great watch for the neutrals. Same side and strategy again please and hope we shade it 2.1 to build a little momentum. Hope Ait is fit to continue his excellent form; congratulations to the Donk and Adama for being nominated for goal of the month for their terrific combination against West Ham – how ironic that the Albion post match blog centred on their value to the team. They get my vote for the goal and the team.
We’re not expected to win this match given our past form against them, along with who has the most to fight for. But, WE WILL – at last.
Mathematically safe now, let a bit of experimentation begin. That said, it started by default last time out due to our list of injuries.
Snap up 3 points and see what we can muster from the remaining 9 points on offer.
Wolves 0-1 Whoeveritis
Big up for nuno having the cahooners to set the boys up and play the way we did against Sandwell knowing what was on the line had we lost !
Can you imagine the vitriol from the keyboard warriors had we lost , even though most would probably have said recently “ how do we no if the kids r any gud if he Dow giy em a chance”
I loved nunos confidence when he was asked ‘pre game’ if he expected a better performance than the last .
It wasn’t too hard to improve on burnley but given the age of the lads , the horrendous conditions and the oppositions desperation, it was a performance to be proud of .
When mourino took the Spurs job I suggested that he was a jug hunter, in other words, he buys experienced players for instant success with little regards to building anything.
Spurs now have an aging squad with the majority over 28
We will start next season with a squad half full of very young ( but decent premier experience) and I know which I’d prefer.
Four at the back for the rest of the season for me and keep the kids in , switch the centre half’s around if need be and have a good look at kilman, Silva to start every game ( hard to believe this kid is Eighteen)so glad nobody has video footage of me @18 trying to master my trade and criticising my every move.
This is going to be a great game too, Brighton play nice stuff but we are better than them simple.
I have played football in similar conditions to the bcd last week ( not very well btw)and some of the control and passing was as good as anything you will see in the premier league.
Come on you wolves
Great post, said all the things I should have!
“Silva to start…..” Fully agree Marney, although as he is on 8 0,000 pounds a week as a teenager, no one should feel sorry for him being criticized! Having said that, his off the ball positioning is good and he is improving in leaps and bounds!!
.
Interesting that Wolves have set up four separate panels for fan participation and will encourage supporters to take part in the decision making process. Fair enough.
They have also appointed Matt Jackson to a new role which looks after players when they are due to leave the club whether its Academy under 10 or first team professionals. Seems like a good idea.
The one area that fans argue the most about…..Recruitment….
So who is in charge of that? And who is driving the “English based” transfer policy?
Pity there isn’t a fan panel input into that, there would be a long queue to join it.
Well as we all know, we just can’t beat these. With their turnaround in form and our difficulties at both ends,I don’t see things changing this weekend but howsabout a high scoring draw for a change?
Sticking my neck out here and predicting it won’t be third 0-0 bore draw in a row against them at Molineux.
By the way I’m a category 2 apparently – no not as an inmate at an HMP but in the ballot for the manure game.
OODCL
I am Cat 1. Can get my Man Utd tkt next week. Let me know if you are going.
You lucky got, Bromto !!!!!!
Chalkie the Cheat strikes again!!!
Brighton are a pretty but, usually, not effective except when defending which they’re good at. Well set up with players willing to head and block everything thrown at them.
And I’m hoping that if our youngsters, providing they’re selected, can pick up where they left off against WBA and Adama can look up we can once and for all beat the boggy that haunts us v BHA.
Will be interesting
As I’m always right and I’m about to open an ale, I’m more optimistic about this one than the previous 237
Fabio ,in my opinion will eventually be a very exceptional striker and hopefully will score a couple more on Sunday.
This ones all about the performance rather than the result for me.
We know we’re struggling to score and we just have to accept that for now – At least until Raul is back, the boy matures a bit and we (hopefully) bring in someone to take some pressure off for a season or two.
A solid game in defence would be good and some more of the same from the rest and I’ll eat my Sunday lunch with a smile on my face.
Everytime we play Huddersfield. Defeat. Everytime we play Brighton. Defeat. Anyone would think there is some sort of hoodoo. What a load of silly nonsense. Until the other day when I was putting the bin out . An enormous Pigeon flew directly above and had a massive s**t on my head. Bad luck? Or did the Pigeon plan the attack? Luckily Next Door neighbours cat sprang to my defence and engaged in a stand off with the offending Pigeon enabling me to manoeuvre the bin to its pick up place. And so on to Sunday dinner time. No amount of Pigeons. Seagulls. Throstles or anything else with wings will have a prayer against a rampant WWFC . The shackles are off and the hoodoo is well and truly buried. WWFC resemble Pele inspired Brazil as we saunter to a 3-0 victory. After the game Nuno said ” There is no such thing as a hoodoo. Well. Apart from the fact when you are born and your dad says you are an Albion fan. In which case it is massive bad luck”. Graham Potter said ” I am extremely annoyed we play in blue and white stripes like Huddersfield and Sandwell Town. It must be some sort of hoodoo “. WWFC 3 BHA 0.
Plenty of positives from the Albion game but ultimately a poor result against them lot. The kids have surely done enough to retain their spots but I would like to see Kilman come in for Saiss. Moutinho is available so could replace Dendocker who has been struggling for a few weeks but this would leave us a very small team.
Brighton are a bit of a bogey team for us and are a decent team I expect a tough game.
I echo a lot of your sentiments Matthew, but I think we’re likely to lose by more than the odd goal.
Here’s to next season!
It’s about time we turned these pretenders over, It was only panic that cost us the 3 points at their place.
So with pretty much the season over for them and us I hope we get our act together and beat the shit out of them.
Hoping Vitinha, Otasowie and Fabio start – and going back to the trusty 2-1 win.
How quickly we lower our ambitions. Sad really. Personally I’d be fighting to the death to overtake Leeds should they slip again, and grab 11th instead of 12th. I just can’t understand all this nothing to play for moping, sorry. Why settle for consolidation when there is still chance to advance?
Then again, I’ve been told numerous times that my competitiveness will one day be my downfall. Maybe so. But it’s the only way I know.
I just wish some of our players were cut from the same cloth. Fight, damn it! It’s Brighton we’re playing, not freakin’ Brazil.
3 points. Only option.
Yes, fight, whether it is for the shirt, your fellow teammates, for yourself, or pride, fight FFS! GoWolves, I am with you on this one. No mambe pambe soft boys, we want warriors who will fight until they drop. Not to be confused with Mick M’s “run until you drop!”
Footballers get paid huge amounts of money, and should be expected to work for it! And not fall down for the slightest little touch either!
Yes, fight, and make us proud! It is not so much about a winning, it is about the grit and determination to let the opposition and fans alike know that they have been in a battle. Yes, fight! Fight!
Europeans think they know more about sports than North Americans but look at how many people here have said we have nothing to play for a couple months already.
In North America, you would be jockeying for the post-season playoffs and trying to get as high up in the standings as possible to avoid the top teams, or even qualify for the playoffs with the television revenue that comes with it.
Of course, they have relegation and promotion in Europe where some poor team can get promoted and try to compete with the other teams in the league, many of whom have had well over £1Billion in television revenue over the last decade.
And these newly promoted teams’ owners can’t throw in their own money to even things out a bit. Sounds fair.
In North America all of the teams get similar major league television revenues so, from that perspective, they have decades to build up their teams and fan base, not one hit or miss season.
Yet they will lecture us that they know more about fairness in sports and how we do it in North America is just an exhibition. Half the teams in the Premier League are effectively playing exhibition football all season long too – for decades.
(Note: Since many Europeans were criticizing North American sports over the last couple of weeks, I thought it would be fair to offer some criticism of how things are done in England so you can see a different perspective.)
I’m “European”. I just hate losing.
(Aren’t you the one doing the lecturing here ;-))
Yes, lets start with last week’s young team, but without bringing MGW on at any point.
We’re still due some luck and more goals for Fabio.
We could win this, but I’m never confident even that a pass will meet an Old Gold shirt, or a corner will go into the box. It’s so nerve racking watching us play. Good how they like to keep Rui involved in attacking movements though !
Outside of Nuno Potter is my favourite Prem manager. Always honest before and after the game, never using sly digs to avoid blame or undermine opposition achievements. Strives for good football as well despite criticisms from the pundit elite.
Like most others I am hopeful of seeing the kids continue their development but wary of the experience of Lallana.
Felt that in Vitinha we got to see a real number ten in operation. No doubt in my mind that Fabio will make much better use of a ball slipped inside a defender than a cross. We definitely need the variety of attacking approach.
Unfortunately I suspect that this lot may be in a more settled playing style (certainly defensively) and that will be our undoing. But see no reason to discontinue the experimentation.
Best wishes to Willy, this is a very concerning health report and like the rest of us will be very relieved when I know he is truly on the mend.
Good post JackoMac.
According to Nuno, Willy is doing much better.
I’ve been watching a fair few Brighton games the last few months and they are good. They remind me of a hungry Wolves side from a few seasons back. The result really depends if we turn up, and that generally isn’t established until into the second half… I reckon a draw would be a good outcome.
Can’t see us getting anything from this one.
Would love to recruit a key player in the off season – an athletics coach to train Fabio and increase his strength and speed. There are times when he runs to the right position but even slow defenders get there first. While he is young and gangly now, some good technique and physical training could make a huge difference.
Too difficult to predict – so sitting on a 1-1- fence.
If Nuno picks his team on merit as I believe he does, then Vitinha, otasowie and Silva must all start based on the last game. With moutinho fit, dendoncker’s place will surely be under pressure and the same with kilman for Saiss possibly, although kilman seems to have upset Nuno for some reason as it is baffling why he has been kept away from the team having performed admirably when he has played. Likewise, it is odd why ki Jana hoever has seen so little game time when he too has been impressive when played. With the long term injuries, Africa cup of nations, elder players coming towards the end of contracts, decisions on loan players, a small and incomplete squad, key players attracting attention from elsewhere, a likely limited/ self financing budget, an absolutely fascinating summer awaits. In fact the transfer window will probably be more interesting than the actual season we will soon complete!
I’m always quite impressed by Brighton and they have many threats going forward and much height in defence which makes ’em dangerous on set pieces.
However, I was hugely encouraged by the performance of the kids last time out and I’m hoping that Nuno shows them his usual loyalty and they are rewarded with another outing in this one.
Kilman in for Saiss please. He’s as good in the air as Romain and shows more composure with the ball at his feet, as you would expect from an international futsal player.
Although, in reality, the result is relatively unimportant, if we perform on the Beeb anything like the Burnley debacle then I’ll be ashamed to walk the streets with my Wolves facemask on. Surely, surely, we can’t be that bad again.
Nah, of course not.
Brighton always been difficult
I think Brighton will settle for a point so they will try to make it a tight game. We will need to get off on the front foot to get a result. It’s Brighton so we won’t win this goes back to when Peter Ward was running rings around Hughes and Berry in the 80’s . Ten Mike Small scoring for fun in the 90’s. In the 21st century no win in 5 games in the PL. They also put in the final.nail when Deano’s ream went down to League 1.
After the Baggies game, I’m feeling a tiny bit more optimistic about this one against Brighton, only a tiny bit, mind.
I would like to see Otasowie give it some wellie and maybe not get subbed as he did against the Baggies.
Bucking our pattern of results against Brighton, I’m going for a narrow win again.
The Seagulls will be fed to the Wolves tomorrow. Good team they may be, our bogey team they may be, but it’s high time to show we are an even better team. I really rate their coach Graham Potter. He had great success abroad. He’s even been mentioned for the Spurs job. At the end of the day Brighton are an under-rated side, but probably 3-4 players short of being solid top ten material. Glenn Murray was our great nemesis and thankfully he’s not there now. I think we are 3-4 players short of being a solid top six club.
Callum Wilson was on our radar several years ago, and we could even have signed him last year for about £10mil. For that money you could hardly put down a deposit for a decent foreign striker in Jorge Mendes’ stable! Wilson was outstanding against Leicester last night. Rather late in the day we have announced that we will be looking at British players in the next window. I don’t think we did too badly with home grown talent under Nuno. Coady, Doherty, Bennett, Douglas and Afobe for example, all contributed to our rise from League One. Kilman should have played more, and will be at least as solid as any of the afore-mentioned Brits. OK, Doc is Irish, but you know what I mean. By the way, with Semedo allegedly in demand abroad, I’d be inclined to make a cheeky bid for Doc. Like £5mil. Or even really take the piss and offer to take him on loan. Of the present loan players, I would snap Vitinha up for sure. I can’t understand why he hasn’t played more. His cracking goal against Chorley would have beaten any keeper in the world. He looked outstanding at the Hawthorns as well.
I’m backing us with the bookies for a straight win and also hedging with a win with BTTS. I’m torn between 2-0 and 2-1, but will go with the latter, which will win both bets for me.
Next season I’m looking forward to
Forgot what I’m looking forward to…. !
Next season innit?
Toni at Brenford scored his 34th goal of the season yesterday but I cannot see us going for him or any British player.
Sometimes I think you need to have a foreign passport to play for Wolves under Nuno. But, this is changing. Hopefully we know all we need to know about Ivan Toney and are ready with a bid, circa £25mil. If Brentford go up, no chance.
Bogy team yes, but maybe Nuno stumble on a half decent set up last week.
Just about a win for me.
We lack height and physical presence in the centre of our defence, and this may be our
achilles heel tomorrow, unless Kilman plays. Bringing in a 35 year old midfielder for me will be a step backwards, particularly as Vitinha looks able to inherit the midfield general crown.
I always expect us to win, and created enough chances to be out of sight by halftime at the baggies. If somebody comes in for Samedo then play that lad from Liverpool at right back, and buy an athletic classy big tall centre back who can head a ball. That goal we let in second half last game shows how awful we defend. Lets hope we win tomorrow, and as others have said, Hamilton to win the Spanish grand prix, and the baggies to get relegated for sure as well.
Both teams safe, bogey team for us, good manager in Potter.. has score bore written all over it. Play the team of last week with Kilman in, move Saiss to midfield and give Donk a rest and stick with Vitinha. The backroom boys will earn their corn by getting the lads up for some free flowin, attacking football and enjoy the last few games. Time to break the hoodo me thinks. Can but hope.
Keep the faith
We were better against the shit than against Burnley but we were still poor. In all honesty I don’t see us getting anything here.
No pressure on either team tomorrow, to get a result so in keeping with the past few games between us another draw seems most likely…
this is likely to be really boring
this is likely to be really boring….
Looking for the points here despite the hoodoo., as unless Raulbis back for some of the time I can’t see us getting much joy in the final 3 fixtures.
Fabio and Vitanha to start. Kilman in for Saiss, and Saiss to take the Donk’s role in midfield.
The record this season v teams outside the top 8 is actually very good. 36 points from 21 games. The record v the top 8 is not so good. So reason for encouragement tomorrow but not much for the last three. What a great finish to the season in division one. Derby eventually sneaking in by virtue of a draw. Dramatic scenes at there best. Who needs a ESL. This is football in its purest form. At one stage all three were staying up. Wednesday. Derby. Rotherham. Such was the ebb and flow in the games. Shame for Wednesday. Been to Hillsborough about 12 times always a great day out. Fine old club and ground. But we have been there . And we came back. They can too.
Can’t stop now.
Let’s Go Wolves!
Huge improvement against Baggies, let’s hope he sticks to a similar plan and give youth,s their long-awaited chance. He must switch Saiss to the bench in favour of Kilman.
As alway’s hard to see where goals will come from so if we get one and can keep a clean sheet?. We need something because I can’t see us getting anything from the last three fixtures.
Wolves 1 – 1 Seagulls
Play the kids again and we may get somewhere. Play Kilman preferably. . Not sure I’ll watch as I’ve block paving to lay while it’s actually dry for a day!
COYW
That’s almost as bad as Clive sticking up his fencing rather than watch the WBA game.
While I agree that this has a 0-0 bore draw written all over it for all the good and just reasons above, surely there has to be a turn around at some point, all these long standing hoodoo can’t go on for ever. Let’s make it today, show the free to air viewers what good football and a convincing win looks like.
COYW
Never enjoy watching Brighton games, perhaps today will be different
Two things I’ll never understand; how we didn’t win at their place and how we can’t seem to ever beat this lot. Can’t see the latter changing this time out, so I’d settle for a point. Just praying that we don’t turn in a Burnley-esque performance.
Toni scored his 34th goal of the season for Brenford yesterday 23 years old big and strong……..but we will probably ignore him.
He is better than Watkins who went to Villa and he’s done well in the Premier League.
Any bloggers going to the Man Utd game?
Today will be interesting. Hope I am wrong, but I don’t think we will win this one.
Hoping we can at least draw now that he has picked the kids today
COMBs!
I’m category 4, Steve, so unlikely to get a sniff of a ticket. Probably just as well, given my voice/throat issues (not much chance of cheering the boys on).
Interesting team selection: no Saiss, Dendoncker, Semedo or Traore in the starting eleven. Kidman notable amongst the starters. Nuno is certainly casting an eye over the fringe players.
I’ll have a stab at a draw. Absolutely no reason why.
Grrr….predictive text. Kilman not Kidman. Nicole isn’t playing.
Pity. Always likely to nicole a goal.
Surely we have to beat Brighton eventually.
Hope Nuno plays the youngsters again. I have a feeling that they will improve week to week.
Right Nuno, let’s see what the kids can do…..
3 corners and all of them won by a Brighton player scored from one the other two they’ve nearly scored we have Neves marking there big centre toward who is a good foot taller.
Where’s the organisation…?
There all over us…..!
F88K hell brighton time wasting since the 15th minute, would have been angry if I had attended
But not now…………………..
Finally two red cards for BHA, the ref has only sent off 2 players this season and both for BHA, excellent.
Every fuckin corner has gone short and either over hit or hasn’t beaten the first man…….it’s embarrassing even the commentators are embarrassed.
Taken Vithina of for the Donk…
Fabio Silva is one of the worst players I have ever seen in a Wolves shirt ,what a joke !
Sorry, can’t agree with that, although I am no expert i believe he has a very good footballing brain.
Youth/lack of experience and a need to bulk up are against him, agreed but be patient with the lad.
He’ll come good
Your the joke, best player in a Wolves shirt today. Beat Dunk ends up. And an assist. Never stops working. Only eighteen years old for dogs sake.
Time for a trip to Specsavers I think LP wolf.
Who’s around Wolves v Man Utd. Meet up outside NBB 1500 hrs for catch up ?
