I think we’re safe from relegation. That’s the only big plus to come out of last weekend.
For Blackburn to make up 11 points on us with only 15 left to play for (18 in our case) seems unlikely.
Add to that all the teams between us and the bottom three, most of whom have to play each other and it would take a horrible combination of results to send us down.
It would be nice to take matters into our own hands though and maybe even power into the top half.
I’d like to see us beat last season’s tally of 58 points too.
Brighton
The Seagulls are close. Very close. A win tomorrow won’t mathematically guarantee promotion but probably as good as.
I doubt Huddersfield will manage more than 86 points anyway so they’re probably home and dry.
Good for them I say. They’ve chipped away at the top six for years and deserve their chance in the Premier League.
Chris Hughton has proven himself a very good manager and shrewd additions like Glenn Murray and Anthony Knockaert have taken them on a stage.
I’d like to see them win the league ahead of Newcastle, but any sentiment obviously goes out the window tomorrow.
Wolves
I think Jon Dadi Bodvarsson is worth a start, particularly if Helder Costa doesn’t make it back.

But hopefully our star man will return and give us the best possible chance in a difficult looking fixture.
Paul Lambert might be tempted into ringing the changes after last weekend’s limp showing, but I’d prefer to keep the nucleus of the side that won five in a row.
Predictions
It’s fair to say that Brighton have established themselves at the top with a staggeringly good home record and solid but significantly less impressive away form.
They’ve won 10, drawn 5 and lost 5, scored 25 conceded 23. It’s still the second best away record in the league so perhaps it doesn’t inspire that much confidence.
The bookies have us at 15/8 for the win compared to the Seagull’s 11/8. If you’re brave enough to take a punt on the Wolves against the Championship leaders, these football betting tips might come in handy.
That said, a lot of their away matches are tight so we should be in the game. Sadly though, I expect their Championship wherewithal will win out.
1-2.
Up The Wolves!

It was on a Good Friday that Wolves recorded their biggest ever league win, a 10-1 thrashing of Leicester City. We actually scored all 11 goals as theirs was an own goal by none other than Stan Cullis. A very good Friday indeed.
So a mere 79 years later we are going to similarly thrash Brighton & Hove Albion ……………2-0.
I hope that PL makes some changes this time. Ikeme (if fit or Burgoyne if not) for Lonergan, Williamson for Batth, Saiss for Evans, Costa and Cavaleiro for Gibbs-White and Dicko and maybe even Bodvarsson, now he has finally remembered how to score a goal, for Weimann.
I will be there. Probably in the APV from 3pm.

You have a good recollection of this game mate ….we’re you there?
Now look, just because you are on the other side of the world where everything is upside down, back to front and inside out doesn’t mean you can be cheeky you young whipper-snapper you!
Strangely enough when I was reading about the 10-1 win in my ‘Wolves – It Happened On This Day’ book I did think that one of BOG’s friends Malcolm, who we often meet up with before a game, is now 81 or maybe 82 so he would have been alive when that occurred back in 1938.
When are you back in good old Eng-er-land?
I like the “young” adjective Bedders….
Back on 26 th April..
p.s. How’s Eileen?
I agree Bedford. Home win.
Nothing to play for so, typically, luck will be on our side. An early opener will bounce in off of JDB’s left arsecheek and the ref will be incompetent in our favour.
Well done Brighton for securing promotion more or less.
For some reason I couldn’t put my prediction in before so here it is.
Pissed probably.
Realistically I don’t hold out much hope for tomorrow.
But when have I ever been realistic?
Chris Hughton is my sort of manager and has done brilliantly with a team that was on the verge of extinction not so long ago but now looks destined for the place that we are all desperate to get to.
I think a draw would be a very decent result for us, so that’s what I’m going to predict.
On another subject:-
Am I the only one who receives an email notification of a new Blog about six hours after it’s posted?
If so, is Thomas trying to tell me something?
Don’t answer that!
Nope. You’re not the only one DG.
Nope. You’re not the only one DG.
Agreed DG
Draw for me too.
UTW!
Like you, Thomas, I retain faith in the basic team that did so well throughout March. Rumour has it that Costa will play so that exciting front four of Costa, Cav, Weimann and Marshall reunited could well swing the match our way.
We all know our midfield and defensive deficiencies but I don’t see anyone currently waiting in the wings who are worthy of replacing the usual suspects. Brighton too have some dangerous forwards and if both teams go for it, it should be a cracker of a game.
Famous last words.
Yeah I think 3-2 too with Cav and Costa playing.
Been thinking about what Jeff was saying about improving the pre-match entertainment.
I love the idea of turning off the lights when the players are in the tunnel, then leave it like that for 5 mins whilst the crowd get excited, then start playing ACDC Thunderstruck (still with the lights off), and when it gets to the chorus the noise will be deafening and they could start doing that Mexican wave thing with the lights, with some flame throwers on the sides of the pitch. The opposition would be bricking it coming out to that cauldron of noise, then the music could switch to Hi Ho Silver lining for a bit.
I’d prefer the Liquidator, but understand the divisiveness of it with the swearing. I remember as a kid in the 90’s the roof of the Stan Cullis used to shake, the atmosphere would be that stirred up. Opposition players used to say how frightening it was to come out to Molineux with it.
Despite the drab/dire display last weekend I still have to put my rose-tinted glasses on and hope that Costa can perform miracles to give us another 3 points. Will be there shouting them on as per usual probably in a state of delusion!
methinks the prediction league is a bit of out of date – hint!
Hi, Oliver that sounds good to me, need to get some decent ales (and food) at the right temperature and price to encourage people into the ground earlier, but it looks as if Fosun and Jeff are going to do that. Would prefer Burgoyne in goal and Costa/Cav/Weimann and Marshall up front, think as usual we will put up a good show against a top team and will go for a narrow win on what hopefully should be a cracking game
Bloody tough game
Going up.there with brighton fans so hopefully a win so I can have,a happy trip home with them I’m not sure we will win we. Will score though there prone to concede away from home
Hopefully a big gate
Up the wolves
Any team with a….n in their name is worthy of nothing but scorn and derision!
Dont care where they are in the league, how good they have been all season, or how much others dont want Newcastle to win the title, I want Wolves to win tomorrow.
Problem is, if we do, Lambert will think our squad is good enough for next season!!
Literally a no win situation.
But, like my usual, accurate predictions, I feel a 5-1 thumping is on the cards.
Like you, Doogle, I get the Blog in my e mail at least an hour after it has been published, but I’m not one to complain or be controversial, I put it down to me being 4000 miles away.
Does that mean Twixxyfixxy gets the blog several hours before it is published?

It’s nearly 2am here , Good Friday morning and Cyclone Cook has woke me up !! I hope Kiwi wolf is ok up in Auckland as it’s absolutely chucking it down here.
Onto matters more important … We always seem to make decent fist in games against Brighton and league positions won’t count for much in the white hot Molineux cauldron.
I’ve got a good feeling about this one and if Costa starts …Friday could be really good….
Serves you right for employing a cook called Cyclone. Do your own cooking like everyone else!

A point each tomorrow would be a very good result for us tomorrow. That said, l would prefer a great result but l think Brighton are just too good – we’ll see – would love to be proven wrong. Still believe we’ll beat last season’s points tally. Should be an exciting game.
So last Saturday it was Bristol City and they are one of our favourite opponents – until it all went tits up. Tomorrow it’s Brighton and we rarely beat them. So a 5-1 win it is then! In order for Brighton to secure the points required for promotion I forsee that they will probably bring Brighton pier with them and attach it to Mander House to make them feel at home. This won’t wash with the multitude of Wolvo seagulls who gather around the subway and eat left over hot dogs and chips. These seagulls will undoubtedly be rather angry with the pier hanging around Mander House because they will sense Brighton seagulls have been around it and done a shit on it so will savagely attack the pier until it collapses like me at around 2am after a Wolves away trip to London. The sight of the pier being pulverised by Wolves seagulls will make the Brighton players sad and they won’t feel like playing any more and this will give us the edge. So a good game in store. It’s Bank Holiday. It’s beer. It’s Wolves. what could go wrong ? Draw 1-1.
Not optimistic about our chances tomorrow. Brighton are a decent side with a never say die attitude.
Wolves can beat them and anyone else in this division, that’s the frustrating and annoying thing about them.
Hopefully Costa will be back, either on the bench or starting. Ikeme is still out with his dodgy hamstring.
If we get stuck into them from the kick-off we might ‘do’ them.
I doubt it though.
Costa will play for sure , we’re on the telly against a prem team , a good performance and kaching, kaching, sorry for being a tad cynical but heyho, hopefully a good game to get up in the middle of the night for
Utw
Congratulations to Brighton who have been the nearly men over the last few seasons regarding promotion but it looks like this season it’s all but secured hopefully they will have to wait a week or to longer. It’s going to be a cracker of a game, they have a good away record but do concede goals and if Costa is playing, we are capable of scoring goals so no nil nil bore draw tomorrow. Hope we can put on a good show and edge them out by a single goal.
Brighton are deservedly going to get promotion after steadily building for a few years now so this could be a great test to see how far off the pace we are for a top six (top two?) challenge next season.
So I would like to see Lambert play what he considers to be best eleven tomorrow (injuries permitting) and really go for it to see how good (or not) we really are and then use the remaining five games to give some starts to the likes of Saiss, Enobakhare and other fringe players as well as some of the other kids like Wilson to see if they can play more of a part next year. Almost use these five games as the start of our pre-season before the necessary summer clear out.
I said the same after the weekend’s debacle as I’m 99.99% sure we’re safe!
But why wait for one more game – go for it now.
Next season starts at 5.00pm today!
We’re on the tele, so could be shite.
We’re playing for fekthall except catching the Vile
Brum could still go down and the beer will be great at 2.30pm on a Friday for a change.
PS Costa, please stay….
PPS More front foot football please mr L
COYW
If we have the best lineup possible, we will give them a tough game. Would love to see Saiss in midfield given a start. The rest of the team picks itself. Sitting on the fence with a draw.
Good test for our players and their mindset.
Suspect the result will reflect the season – not what we wanted, some glimmer of hope for the future, but ultimately frustrating…
Back home, still feeling let down by inept display I watched at Ashton Gate. I’m indifferent to who plays it’s HOW they play that matters. The teams who reach the
Premier League and stay there have all got something in common
.. tight defence and the ability to pass to their own shirts with a high rate of success…Oh and a handful of genuinely talented players.
I really hope PL prioritizes method over results for these last few games so the players who start next season are clearer on HOWThey play.. and also the strength and energy they need to demonstrate for 90+ minutes. Dangerous Dave isn’t my favorite wolf but last week he was the only one I could see still going full
Tilt at the end of the game .
Game on TV so will get to see for myself if PL takes my advice
A draw likely but I need points to move up prediction league so will go for upset home win
Dangerous Dave is few people’s favourite Marin, but boy, has he got an engine. If you’re playing a pressing game, there are few better.
Glad you got home in one piece and your plane wasn’t overbooked. Things can get dirty if you don’t fancy giving up your seat for an airline employee. 🙂
Try again with score this time
You look at the B&HA squad and there’s not a single player that stands out as being an exceptional talent. But there is a LOT of experience in there. That, coupled with the importance of ‘confidence’ in this Division leads me to think they might just edge it tomorrow.
On our good days we are as good as anyone in this division and we tend to raise our game against decent footballing sides. On paper it should be a Brighton win but – as we all know- the game ain’t played on paper. I fancy that it will be an entertaining game and a creditable draw.
Going for my usual 2 nil
And looking forward to being there
Up the wolves
North Bank bar?
My hope is that our lot turn up as they did against Newcastle, Stoke and Liverpool. If they do we can do a job on them. But one or two under performances and we’ll be buggered. So I’m making my prediction based on hope alone.
I remember the corresponding match last season – we arrived at half time and got to our seats just after the Coady sending off.
We need a win, if only so Wolves can still be in a chance of overtaking Cardiff. I have a £5 wager with a work colleague as to which team finishes ahead. I hope they do get stuck into it, especially after last week’s performance.
If like me you have Sky tv but not Sky Sports you might want to tune in to Sky Sports Mix as the Wolves match is on for free there. Saves me buying a day pass!
Oops forgot to post the score.
Congratulations to Brighton for hanging in there, season after season. I’m a Chelsea STH and I look forward to seeing little Brighton in action at mighty Chelsea next season. I remember our first season in the Championship after relegation from the PL in 2012. Brighton were looking for promotion then. We got demotion, and I was at Brighton for the 2-0 that sent us down to League One. As someone above has alluded, they don’t have a single stand-out player (like Costa), but they have a collection of experienced players of playoffs standard.
Our old failing of losing to relegation zone teams came back to haunt us last week. Our one, faint, mathematical chance of reaching the playoffs fizzled out miserably. We’re better than that, as we should prove conclusively tomorrow.
If Costa hasn’t already signed a pre-contact with a PL team, I think he will play tomorrow ‘cos the match is on TV and that’s a great shop window. If he has signed, he may have played his last match for us, in which case he might call in sick with a headache. With Costa playing we might win 3-2. Without him, Brighton to win 2-1. I think I will have to split the difference and go for 2-2.
Very good interview with Lambert today on utube.
He speaks a lot of sense.
Like others would like to see Saiss start.
Anyway am optimistic.
Forgot the link…

I’ve not been too confident the last couple of games, but Wolves being the inconsistent side they are could well snatch it tomorrow.
So I feel we could see Wolves 2-0 Brighton and a few thousand happy bunnies, (see what I did there)
For all you Distant Wolves fans here’s a link to view the game. Good luck.

COYlazy feckers, play your hearts out for us fans.
After last week who knows.
Downside is it’s on Sky so we will probably lay crap.
Would like to see Saiss instead of Evans but hey what do fans know about football.
Will settle for a point but hope for a win.
The mighty Wolves will show the world how good we can be on the box for a change.
I ought to be more optimistic but I’m struggling to see us get anything out of this.
Even if we turn up, and Costa plays, it will be a difficult game to win. Perhaps Brighton’s not so impressive away form is the key, and we’ll show that Newcastle/ Liverpool form. Mind you, that was away, so come on you Wolves fans, get behind them, and give us a preview of next season’s form.
Well I guess I best guess, so:
Theoretically we should have our pants pulled down particularly as we are weak weak weak at the back..but Wolves being Wolves I see us winning here ..If Costa plays more so..
Wolves are currently an enigma – we can beat the best and loose to crap ..
DB holds the key not to concede IMO and we will have chances to win…
Will they turn up? Or is it job done?
I’d like to see one of the kids get a chance like MGB last week. Maybe Wilson who has scored a lot for U23s.
Wolves being Wolves I wouldn’t put it past them to Beat Brighton and there in is the problem Wolves can do it in the big games, Stoke, Liverpool, Newcastle but come the games against the lesser teams and we fail year in year out.
If it s the same team that didn’t turn up against Bristol City them we could be on the en of a mauling.
I would be surprised if Costa plays if he does I wouldn’t bet against it being his last game in A Wolves shirt for the home support, I believe he will be sold probably Mendez doing the pushing but if Mendez has Wolves interest at heart as Jeff is trying to have us believe he would be telly Costa he has time on his side and to give us one more season………I doubt that’s the case though……in Mendez’s world and Fosun’s for that matter money and profit talk.
The summer will answer your question on that Paul
I’m backing the hove, oops I mean home side in this one. They are already on the beach whilst we are ready to rock again after going tits up in brissle. Jon Dadi to tap the goal scoring vein and lead the clap again.
Yes bedders , Can only do prematch
I can’t see Hughton letting his side let things slip to ensure this is the season they go up. With the likes of Murray and Knockeart in the side I think they’ve got players who have experience of being there and doing it as well. This could be another yard stick for Lambert to see just how much work there is to do to make us genuine Championship contenders across the course of a whole season.
Congratulations to the real Albion on their impending promotion after being the bridesmaid in recent seasons.
As usual head and heart are battling away over the prediction. Last occasion I went for a Wolves loss we won! Reverse psychology rules ok.
So based on this rather tenuous logic I go for a Brighton victory by 3 – 1.
We will be in Yates, Queens Square at 3pm for some grub as the usual Thai and Italian haunts close at 2.30.
Last time we dined in Yates we scoffed sausage and mash with mushy peas which was actually delicious – especially as it was two for the price of one which suited our tight fisted outlook on life and washed down with Guinness as I ain’t driving.
Suggest we go for 0-0-10 to entertain the watching Sky audience. Well we have tried every other bloody formation I can think of.
Football used to be such a simple game when we had 2 full backs and 3 half backs and 5 forwards – better known as the WM formation.
Now we need a maths degree to work out the permutations when all is needed is to stick the bleeding pill into an oblong shape bounded by three planks, measuring 192 square feet with a net fastened on to stop the ball smacking some geezer in the gob behind the goal more times than the other eleven chumps on the other side.
Is it me?
To those at the Mol tomorrow have a great day.
To those at home or in the pub enjoy your chocolate eggs (can’t say Easter anymore in case I offend somebody – I tell you this country really is stark raving mad) and give us poor sods a thought on the long drive home if we lose.
Happy Easter to all Wolves fans – whoops please let me know if I have offended you!

Bedford,
I thought everyone knew a “ladys bike” just doesn’t have a crossbar. Therefore I would wager that the bike in question has no crossbar and Clive will be disappointed he cannot have a “backie” as we used to say when I were a lad…. to the shops to get some tinnies…
BOG,
I like your rhetoric, meticulous planning for sustenance but honestly 0-0-10?
Who’s playing in the 0 – position? No saville
Who’s playing in the 2nd 0 – position? Another No saville?
And will the 10 start playing at 5.00pm?
Lastly, just wanted to confirm you haven’t offended me as I’m atheist but I have seen a few that have come back from the dead to play at the Mol over the years…..
Happy chocolate egg weekend to every devotee of the old gold & black, drink long & prosper….
They don’t call it good friday for nothing!
Wolves at home.
Wolves on the tele.
Costa back.
Sun will be out, beer will be cold, another cheeky five on a sure fire acca, tandoori chicken and Wolves to beat Brighton & Hove Sandwell
A bit like trying to predict the Lottery numbers the way we are at the moment, The good news is its on TV so hope they can reproduce some kind of form but fear the worst.
Hmmmm what the heck 3-2 to Wolves.
At home, top team in the league, and on TV. A point would be a good result.
Would love a win but feel it’s unlikely. Chris Hughton has done a fantastic job & turned Brighton into a solid team, he deserves another shot in the prem IMO.
However I hope we can hold them off with a draw. Costa to play if fit as we appear to be utter crap currently without him.
Come on lads!
Never really afraid of anybody the better they are the more likely we turn up.
Overjoyed if we win, more than happy with a point
But like a lot of others, good to see Brighton go up
And fair okay to the owners for keeping faith with the manager. How many that are desperate for Premier money, would have ditched the manager before now, with them being so close over the last few seasons.
Didn’t some suggest Chris coming here, with our manager merry go round, at one time?
If we turn up this could be a cracking match.
Absolutely agree that this should be a cracker today. I think and hope that we will be back on form today. Brighton are a good side and we have done well against good footballing sides in recent weeks. I think there will be some fans of other championship sides watching this and feeling grateful that it has taken us so long to get into our stride. Would like to see Wilson on the bench and getting a run out. I will be making a real effort to mentally log all that the mighty Helder does today as it may be a memory to call on in the future.
No Costa?, I think we will get beat today, comfortably. Knockaert is a real danger.
No costa no result
F!,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,ing hoof ball …….total Shiite….. I hate blue and white stripes
Who is that prick of a self opiniated commentator on sky all he does is slag us off
Danny bath tortoise …. lonergan …..well goodbye please
That was complete and utter crap. Brighton showed us just how far we have to go to be any good in the championship let alone the PL.
Please Fosun get rid of DB and that excuse for a keeper who tried but failed to play today
Our defensive coaching is a joke …under any sort of pressure we are incapable of passing the ball to a gold shirt… they are constantly out of position and seem to never be able to read a game… two players challenging for the ball and leaving wingers free what the f….k goes on at that training ground.
Get your own coaches in pl cud the lot you have are shite
Well, you can’t fault the effort.
It’s just the rest that we fall down on.
Brighton look a decent side but the main difference between us and them is a striker who can take his chances.
We made a catalogue of errors at the back (and by the law of averages two were punished). Brighton didn’t make a single mistake at the back.
AND Knockaert is a different class.
I think it was more than just here striker !
Not surprised at the result. Poor all round
We were as good as coady today huffing and puffing weak in defence out of position poor distribution can’t take a chance…
As Tim spiers says cut out the dead wood..
I make that 6 players..
Let’s face it and not be oblivious.
From what I just watched it’s probably 11
Can we sign a midfield player who can pass the ball and move forward with it. What a load of shite. Premier League? Millions of miles away.
Its a shame. They are doing the best they can.
They are what they are.. . 15th in the championship.
16th now. Can’t wait for season end.
Lets see what PL does. He got till December.
At half time the chap behind me launched into a torrent of abuse against a particular Wolves player, insisting he be replaced at the break as he was effing useless. Midway through the second half he unleashed more abuse but this time against the whole team culminating with “the only one who’s any good is………” – yes you’ve guessed it, the self-same player he’d been insisting be replaced less than half an hour earlier.
In many ways that sums up our season. Jekyll and Hyde.
Brighton deserved to win for sure but I feel if they are the league leaders then the standard is low and God help them next season in the Money League where they will surely be so much cannon fodder and instantly return to the Championship.
For us I saw confirmation that Lonergan is hopeless – not being able to kick or catch a ball and having decidedly floppy hands (I was going to say limp wristed but given the opposition I didn’t want to come across as homophobic) are surely serious failings for a goalkeeper? Equally confirmation that Danny Batth is awful, Matt Doherty is not a left back, Dave Edwards is a headless chicken incapable of playing in any recognised position (he reminds me of a boy I was at school with with was hopeless at football but in playground football at break time would run around all over the place getting in every else’s way), Weimann is not a wide player but neither is he a striker and Bodvarsson, whilst being an excellent target man and willing runner, will be lucky to ever score more than 5 goals in a season.
Worryingly though others who I rate were also poor. Coady, Hause and Cavaleiro all fall into that category. The only two who for me emerged with even a smidgeon of credibility were Marshall and Saiss though both suffered by being surrounded by dross and mediocrity. Saiss in particular – who at least showed some quality and can pass the ball – had the look of someone thinking “I’m a footballer – get me out of here!”.
I also am left wondering whether Paul Lambert is the man to lead us to the promised land. He appears hell bent on setting out a team of grafters, tries, workers and runners but, like many before him, doesn’t seem to be able to see the bigger, more beautiful and more expansive, picture. Is he the right man? I personally doubt it but feel he will be tasked with the job. For now at least.

Oh well, the surge for the play-offs ends and we go from being served Sirloin….okay rump steak maybe, back to Noodle-Doodles and Alphabetti Spaghetti. The lads showed effort but I actually wonder if Brighton weren’t saving themselves for the Monday game, it was so easy for them.
The painfully obvious conclusion (to me, anyway) is that we are so far off the pace of the top teams as to be quite scary. I don’t know how we close the gap because I doubt whether any of our players would get into their squad, let alone team, although a few of our guys did try! I mean, the amount of passes we made over pathetically short distances which found their way to the opposition’s feet was incredible. Who trains these guys? and to do what?
An all round poverty-stricken performance from an all round incredibly wealthy bunch of young men. Roll on next season, it surely can’t be any worse……can it?
Yes NO Costa…!
My hope is that our lot turn up as they did against Newcastle, Stoke and Liverpool. If they do we can do a job on them. But one or two under performances and we’ll be buggered. So I’m making my prediction based on hope aloneipl 2020 all match prediction</

Bed, agree listening to game at work, what a bunch of average players, Brigthon just have experience all over the pitch player who have Championship and Premier league experience, Wolves have players that have experience of BEING relegated from the Premier and Championship……need I say more..!
Be under No illusions…
We want to be where Brighton are and we are a Billion Light years away…
Jeff has gone back to China but if there was one game he should of watched it was this one…
It showed the sheer gulf in class of where we need to be …
Anyone thinking Brighton were not that good or the game was close… they beat us 2-0 without getting out of 2nd gear..
Get your heads out of the sand….
Its going to take us years to get to where they are at least 3 or 4 and under Lambert I doubt we will…
We are clearly saving Costa from any injury so we sell at a profit…
The rest of our squad are simply not good enough . they all know it.
That is why they don’t want to get promoted because they will need to find new jobs elsewhere ..
Mid table Championship suits them all… Safe…
Cavaleiro cost 7 Million and isn’t fit to lace Sako’s boots…
Costa has gone home for a holiday before his big money move to the championship…
Fosun ?? what has changed…
Nige I’m beginning to think Fosun are the same as Morgan make money, if Costa is sold then whats the difference.
They might have spent more, but cashing in on him is the same as Morgan did with countless players in his final 2 years as owner.
Lambert can call it what he wants, streetwise put simply Paul we are NOT good enough……..SIMPLES dress it up if you want to but …….this squad is NOT good enough neither WILL they ever be…….Jeff, Paul Kev, Larry, Mow.
Bye bye Costa thanks for the memories good luck in the Premier League…..won’t be seeing you soon ?
Does PL really really know this?.. he ain’t no ostrich..he can’t be …has he been told just get us up and we’ll buy within the £80M fpr and he said he could.?
I think he’s restricted or he has to have loan Mendes players..re my favourite subject I thought when DB pulled his leg yeah he’s off because he’s injured but no,he came on second half and did his usual captain thing organising the back..He particularly just has to be replaced surely.?.Then there is the Dicko situation he Has to be replaced surely too..?then there is Coady he’s not good enough ..we need a no2 goalie it just goes on and on..
Wolves as a team can pull it out of the bag but to be consistent (like Brighton) purely relies on better players and the big one….
Leadership which rests again back with DB ..
Williamson is that person but for the lottery regarding his injury proneness ..
So there you have it a small amount of our problem ..
We need prob 6 (key) players I’m wondering if we will achieve this..love Nige comments about Sako’s shoelaces ..
I really do think at least he could be coming..
As regards Costa..who knows…
I watched that game in total disbelief yesterday.
We matched Brighton right up to the point when Hause had a brain freeze, we were value for money right up to that point, the game was entertaining and Brighton did as stated above, looked nothing that special. They won’t stay long in the Premiership on that showing. I’m not being bitchy, it’s not sour grapes either because apparently we had 51% of the play. Now that’s been unheard of in this league at home in most matches for Wolves. The guys gave it their all, they tried to take them on, but, as pointed out above….. We are not good enough.
We simply do not have the skilled players to take us out of this league, we don’t have any set style of play, can anyone on here tell me any pattern or shape we have, we can’t match other teams above or below us for stamina. We rolled over and died in the second half. Although we had 51% of the play every time Coady got the ball he panicked and passed it to Batth who in turn panicked and passed back to Lonnie Donergan who’s Dad apparently was a dustman, hence the rubbish catching, saving and distribution, he is domestic waste and should be binned.
Hause who has displayed some good performances of late had obviously laced his boots up wrong yesterday, that’s the only explanation I can find for him constantly passing to Brighton, unless he had been bribed by the same guy as bribed the ref.
Personally,I don’t think Lambert is the one to guide us to the promised land, I think he will be given an opportunity next season but it will only serve as a repeat of this season, swapping coaches after a few miserable results. He’s the coach of a team that are inept, unskilled, untalented and clueless and that is the big worry, because he’s the coach?.
I for one cannot wait for the Bloggers bash, because that means there is only one more piece of garbbage to sit through at that point. More of the same next season will bring a change of coach so perhaps we may see the likes of Wenger at the Golden Palace, at least Iv’e heard of him before.
Shit season, shit football, shit.
By the way, if your’e still unsure about the blogges bash, get your bum in gear, get your name to Steve aka Brompton. It’s the only consistent thing to come out of this club of ours. Steve Daley, Willie Carr and Phil Parkes will be there so at least we shall see some talent at last, and Daley is an amazing after dinner speaker so sore ribs should be on the menu.
Leeds on Monday so no time to sulk, 20,000 + Yorkshire twats will be taking the piss, so let’s get at em.
COMB’s
I trust that the ‘one more piece of garbage to sit through’ doesn’t involve the APV meal or I’m cancelling my Bloggers’ Membership and going down the chippy.
Nawww, that’s definitely a highlight in a lowlight season.
Unfortunately it’s Wolves Vs Preston, another 90 minutes of suspense and Drama from our who dunnit’s (this time).
Infuriating.
Not heard from the young American student we had dinner with Mark. Do you know if he is still around?
Stuey me mate …you’ve chopped me in half….!
Am the left TWIX or the Right TWIX…. Looks like the left TWIX …. lol
Some might say the picture captures your best side I.e. your face isn’t in it. Obviously I wouldn’t say that. Anyway at least you are in it – like DOOGie’s video trailer I apparently wasn’t there though am damned sure I was. Or was it all a dream?
I wonder where Lynx has got to. And the guy to my right (forgot his name).
Chris his name was …think his Blog name was Sleachy…
Excellent post. I was looking for some inspiration to decorate my pooja room this year for the grand celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi.
ANd finally, I found a bunch of ideas from your post. Flowers and peacock are the things I liked the most here. Thanks for highlighting so many ideas.
