If you’d said to me at half time in the Chelsea match we’d be heading into this game with 22 points in the bank, I’d have shaken your hand for maintaining such a wildly optimistic outlook.
Yet here we are and credit to all involved.

It wasn’t pretty against Newcastle but the job got done, which is exactly what was required to arrest that worrying slump.
There are four tough games left in 2018 but it would be great to finish a memorable year in the top half of the Premier League table.
That’s definitely an achievable goal and much could rest on the result of this game against one of the other ‘best of the rest’ sides.
Bournemouth
The Cherries will have similar aspirations after a wonderful start to the campaign, but a tough run of fixtures combined with injury problems have checked their progress of late.
A narrow win over Huddersfield the other week was crucial and gave them their only points from their last 6 games. Not a great surprise considering their opponents in that run included Man City, Liverpool, Arsenal and Man Utd.

Callum Wilson didn’t feature in the 4-0 drubbing at home to Liverpool last weekend but could return for this fixture. He has 8 goals this season and was more than worthy of the England cap he recently received.
David Brooks has been a revelation since joining from Sheffield United in the summer and with the likes of Ryan Fraser and Joshua King continuing to make key contributions, they’re well armed in attack.
They have 3 wins and 4 defeats from their 7 away matches to date, which seems fitting for their ‘all or nothing’ approach that usually makes them great to watch.

The away end
I was fortunate enough to swap some messages with Peter from Bournemouth fan site Cherry Chimes, who offered the followed insights:
a. How Bournemouth are doing
Well, this is the best start to a season that Bournemouth have made in the Premier League. The last few weeks though have been much tougher with some disappointments. The defeat to Newcastle United really slowed the momentum and while losing to Man Utd, Arsenal, Man City and Liverpool might have been expected, it is important to take points off these kind of teams at some point in the season, like Wolves have managed to do. We set the goals really high and you need to attack the Premier League to stay in it and to improve.
The more pressing worry though is that we have a small squad and we have lost Adam Smith and Lewis Cook to long-term injuries already. It’s not what you need when you are coming into the busiest part of the season and I just hope it doesn’t hurt morale too much.
b. Where you think you’ll finish
The league is still much tighter than you’d like to think. I don’t think the second half of the season will be quite as strong for Bournemouth but a top 10 finish would be pleasing.
c. Your general view on Wolves
Excellent to be fair. They have spent some money in the summer, but the main thing is that the team spirit has been good and they have attacked games and ignored reputations. I’ve enjoyed watching them and have been impressed with the trickery of Neves and the fight that the team always plays with. Wolves have been a great addition to the Premier League.
d. How you see the game panning out
While Bournemouth have had some good away performances and a good record against newly promoted sides, I count this as one of the more difficult matches of the season. If Wolves score first, I can only see their confidence rising and I think Wolves have everything to gain knowing they can close the gap on Bournemouth. Playing at home again after the brilliant win Wolves had against Chelsea means a far more buoyant Wolves and while I’d love a 2-2 draw, I think Wolves will probably win this one 2-1.
Wolves
I was shocked to see the lineup Nuno deployed at St. James’ Park, but it all worked out in the end, so who am I to question?

But with a week to rest and assuming no injuries, the front three has to be Gibbs-White, Jimenez and Jota if we’re going off form alone.
Costa, one great cross aside, was again very poor at Newcastle. I have slightly more sympathy for Traore who is being asked to play an unfamiliar role and whatever his shortfalls always produces moments.
But Jota looks like his old self again, Jimenez is the only viable option centrally and Gibbs-White is impressive whenever he’s on the pitch, so they would be my picks.
Saiss has brought some bite and presence to the midfield so Moutinho may have to be content on the bench once more, despite his key contributions in the latter stages on Sunday.

Up The Wolves!

Looking forward to a ‘back to normal’ kick off time at home . Whoever dreamed up moving the Liverpool game to a Friday night when everyone is breaking up from work must be delusional . Half of Wolverhampton will be three sheets to the wind !
I agree with Thomas re the line up . Start the same eleven as the Chelsea game , attack the Cherries with pace and grab that all important early goal. As I keep on saying bringing on Traore (impact player) and Cav in the second half to punish an already tired defence . However, in Nuno we trust he certainly knows better than me…
Dodge,
Are you implying that “half of wolves” are not normally “three sheets to the wind”? 🙂
Or is it:
Three shits coz of the wind??
Well I will certainly be merry come 7.45pm next Friday . Will make for a great atmosphere. Just hope the British transport police don’t keep sending away fans down to the Great Western !
Should be an entertaining game. They play on the front foot and have some very useful players, particularly in attack.
But they’ve got some injury problems, which may help us get a foothold in midfield, which we haven’t been able to do of late.
I really hope Gibbs-White starts and Jota can make it three goals in three. They will almost certainly score, as they nearly always do, but I’m backing us to come out on top.
Agreed Thomas too busy to do a proper reply.
COMBs!
Just like Nuno I had a dream and in mine Wolves win 5-0 so going with that.
Agree with Thomas’s selection but won’t be surprised if Nuno has other ideas and again is proved right.
Good write-up as usual Thomas. I do hope your team selection is correct. I would like to go for a victory but a draw looks a sensible option. COYW.
This game for me was difficult to call
This year the Cherries have been a good side
I watched the game on TV they lost 0-4 to see what we were likely to be up against
Their weakness defensively on the right flank and right side of central defense is obvious with the personnel who played in an otherwise strong unit going forward
With Jota back to near his best this weakness can be exploited …..I have now talked myself round from predicting a draw to a Wolves win
3 more points COYW
Lerma will be a handful in midfield with his physicality and we don’t want to see him running it. Brooks and Wilson a handful up front. I’m hoping they’ll let us play in which case I think we’ll edge it.
Got to go for another win but will be another tough match. As ever, it’s about taking our chances, as we aren’t keeping many clean sheets. On radio 5 they said Jota got his 5th red card last week, so will be suspended, but I haven’t seen that reported anywhere else. Anybody know? Come on me babbies!
I believe it’s the 5th Domestic Yellow, with 1 of those piked up in the cup. Jota hasn’t gotten 5 yellows from PL games alone yet, he is still able to play.
Ah, that makes sense, thanks.
It’s about time he was suspended if he’s had 5 red’s. Disgraceful!!!
Think Nuno will stick with Costa as mgw is imo more of an attacking mid so puts Neves and Moutinho under pressure, with Cav and Traore ready to come on as wingers if required.
Great read as ever Thomas.
Agree that Raul, Jota and MGW all must start. MGW in the 10 role v Chelsea offered us so much more creativity and calmness on the ball. I would love to see Nuno settle on a 3412 for the foreseeable. I know we’ve only seen the system really v Chelsea and the last 15 mins v Newcastle, but that extra man in MF really does give us more control and creativity. Plus, Costa, Adama and Cav aren’t doing enough to warrant a start, so the natural shape without them is MGW as a 10, Jota the second forward and Raul leading the line.
Out of Moutinho, Saiss and Neves, I’d say Joao is the undroppable one. He ran the MF in the second half v Chelsea and continued that form when coming on at Newcastle. Harsh on Saiss, as he’s done nothing wrong, but I’d continue with Ruben. With the confidence returning to the side and the change to a 3412, I can see Ruben relishing playing in a 3 man MF, where we’ll hopefully go back to dictating play a lot more.
If we do set up this way v Bournemouth then we’ll outnumber them in MF (they play 442). I really hope we start on the front foot, as in recent weeks we’ve tended to invite teams onto us (think Watford, Huddersfield, Cardiff, Newcastle until they went down to 10 men).
This is gonna be end to end.
Jota to get a brace, MGW to score….and Doc to get the winner again.
There’s no doubting your proposed line up is the way to go Thomas. I hope Nuno agrees! The result at Newcastle was proof positive. We were a different team later on with the changes. That said, we were looking quite tasty when the first goal went in, but we foolishly took foot off pedal and let Newcastle in. Costa faded badly at that point. Traore had a thankless task starting the game in midfield, a task he is clearly unsuited to. He’s not a 90 minute player anyway.
For Bournemouth your line up looks right to me. Depending on where we are, Cav and Traore would be obvious impact subs on the wings to punish the tiring legs of the Cherries at 70 minutes. I fancy we will complete a hat trick of wins on Saturday. 3-1.
I haven’t been to Bournemouth for a million years, and that was to go camping for a week.
Remember the plastic Tommy guns, Scooped?
Anyway, I digress, as usual.
Bournemouth are like a swarm of mosquitoes.
No use to man nor beast, but always annoying.
They have bigger grounds at Dunstall, or at least they used to do, and their “up and coming” manager is basically a prick.
They have no business being in the Prem, or the top three divisions really, and we should help them on their inevitable slide down the table into obscurity, oblivion and relegation.
I will never forgive their cheating, underhand shit-like methods from a few years ago, and we need payback, big time.
And their name is so pretentious.
AFC??
Lots of suggestions available for what those letters stand for, but as this is a family show, I will, as ever, be polite and respectful.
Easy win for the lads this weekend, although it will be weird playing at 3.00 on a Saturday.
Rumour has it that Jurgen ClipKlop will be at the Mol, and will be shitting himself at the prospect his lot have to look forward to next Friday.
Just for a change, I predict 5-0 to me babbeez.
FOwb
Yule look a proper Turkey if it’s 5-1 Clive. 🙂
I watched the Newcastle game from the lofty heights of the away stand and one thing jumping out at me in the first half was, there was a great big hole just in front of Neves and Saisse which allowed the Newcastle boys time to organise themselves and push forwards at every opporunity. I was talking to my mate at half time telling him the same, and he summed it up beautifully, we had a “Jimmy hole”.
When Jimmy came on in the second half, job done, he took it by the scruff of the neck and things changed. So I for one hope Nuno don’t feck about with that position, it unsettled everyone in the first half, passes were going astray and we looked disjointed.
I fancy us for this one, I really do. I din’t know why but I feel we can take this one as our Brucie bonus and spank a team at last.
So I’m going for a:-
Wolves 4
Boringmouth 2
Jota 2
Jiminez 1
Boly 1 (off a Bennett throw in)
The set up for the first half at Newcastle was a bit of a disaster and I hope that Nuno has learned a lesson from it – mind you, it was probably his first mistake of the season so the bloke seems to know what he is doing 🙂
The team that finished at Newcastle looked fab so I hope that is the starting line up on Saturday.
If Callum Wilson is fit for Bournemouth he could have a big impact on the result but I am hoping that he has not recovered and I expect a decent home win.
Looking forward to my 1st outing to Molineux this season. A bad November is almost forgotten about and 6 points out of 6 sounds really good. 9 points out of 9 sounds even better and thats what I’m going for.
Still can’t get my head around Bournemouth in the PL. That’s where we used to go for our one week summer holidays…sometimes Southbourne to make a change, Bed breakfast and evening meal and an early morning walk with my Dad through Fisherman’s Walk to buy the Daily Mirror. Now they are in PL?? Amazing, given the size of their club/stadium etc.
I’m not anticipating a goal fest like some…neither team will want to get nothing from this…so tight game is what I’m expecting…but Jota or a Neves free kick ( he’s due) will make the difference.
Meantime have booked at APV for Fulham game in May…..with fingers crossed on several fronts.
UTW
I can’t really argue with that starting line-up except for one thing, we look a better team with Saiss on the pitch. Over to you Nuno.
No disrespect to Bournemouth, but his is the game when we finally give the opposition a real pasting!
Another severe examination of our midfield and if we are overrun, Bournemouth’s forwards can hurt us with their movement. I would start with the ‘Chelsea’ lineup and work ethic, a very good match in prospect and I would expect us to prevail provided we do not concede the first goal. Diogo to get the first and Traore the winner with an assist from Bonatini in extra time.
Going for my first back to back predictions, hard fought game but the mighty Wolves to come out on top.
It’s been 4 years to the week that dear old Bournemouth last pitched up at the Mol.
Referee Mike Jones decided it was a day for making headlines . ..and he did by sending two of our players off … one of them being Van La Parra following a heading challenge with 8ft 6in Cook …. who went down like a Fred Dibnah chimney.
So this year it’s our turn to stuff Cheatmouth with a deserved mullering as payback for that injustice.
They’re a decent team ….but so are we … and following on from the great December start I’m going for a 3rd win on the spin..thus setting us up nicely for the biggie on the 21st.
The team couldn’t be more right than Thomas’ choice and if we can score first then things could escalate to give us a big win.
I’ve been so impressed with Raul and with Jota’s return of confidence I’m going for a routine win….
Cum on feel the noyze……
A prediction always helps…..
Hmm! Bournemouth, I remember when we played them a few years ago and they cheated and got RVP and Doherty sent off
hope we do them good and proper (or at least continue the recent scorelines)
COYW
Thanks for the write up, Thomas. Your selection looks good but I keep wondering if MGW needs to be wrapped up in cotton wool. That said, if he’s good enough he’s old enough.
The game is another potential banana skin (aren’t they all?) but I can’t countenance a loss.
Hotel and rail ticket booked but I’m currently 70/30 against getting there (man flu +). Fingers firmly crossed.
This’ll be a cracker I hope. 2 teams that want to play the right way, but don’t have enough for the top 6 yet. I hope for lots of action, goals and end to end stuff.
End to end stuff as the teams give the fans a fantastic pre Xmas treat. That Arbroath v Bon Accord record score is finally consigned to the history books.
Pigeon,
That’s a bit optimistic!
There is no way bouche née will score 12
Lmro
Yule certainly deserve your Prediction League points if that’s how it finishes S P.
Well, a good result at Newcastle, but our performance had its ups and downs I thought.
Bournemouth next and they’ve done well so far this season. They have a bright and enterprising manager and I think we won’t find it easy.
I’m going to settle for a draw then. Wolves 1 Bournemouth 1.
Not at our best last week, but what a great effort for the winner – DJ gliding effortlessly past an ever-increasing number of NUFC players in a way that could only have been bettered by Harry Potter with his invisibility cloak on, and that run by MD from his own penalty area to catch up with play and nod in the winner. It almost matched Cardiff away last season for a finish and was made even better by seeing the look on RB’s face. Not even his carping could take away the sheer pleasure.
Picture attached of my first experience with AFCB or Bournemouth and Boscombe Athletic as they were then in 1957. Not content with smashing the South Bank goal posts, they had the nerve to knock us out of the cup 0-1 and that’s in spite of us apparently having Zaphod Beeblebrox playing at centre-half (number 5 for younger bloggers!). Proving of course that two heads aren’t alway better than one! I’m not in the picture, we used to stand on the Waterloo Road side of the goal.
I think we’ll win on Saturday but have no clear view of the score. I’m going for the ever popular 2-1 along with many others. COYW
Fabulous picture JazzWolf… and as I wait for Clive’s cryptic comment … I was there right behind those goals…. a mere schoolboy lad I would add.
And your right …. this was a huge upset by Bournemouth against the then mighty Wolves…
No repeats tomorrow..
Keep saying it.
Someone’s gonna “av it” soon.
Why not Bournemouth!
Another 3 points for the Wolves Supremacy
Predictions have been awful this season but I don’t think this game is as easy as some are making out. 1-1 draw
Playing at home against a team just above us in the table should be enough incentive to gain all points. 2-1 seems popular not only with bloggers here but also with the team. So let’s go for a 2-1 win. Hopefully Neves will score a worldie. Not sure about Jota though. Isn’t he suspended for this match after picking up 5th yellow??
Well, Bournemouth are above us in the table so they must be doing something right! High scoring game with Wolves back to playing LIQUID football!
Yes, almost strange to have a 3pm Saturday kick off, after all the Sky fixtures. I think Xmas visits may divert my attention but I’ll be relatively relaxed with this game, expecting a good win.
Hoping for a clean sheet, and at least two for us.
I remember being at the game when they broke the upright in 1957 and then knocked us out of the cup. A long time coming but I hope for revenge this weekend. 2 – 1 Wolves
Not sure we’ll be able to play these without a bumpy ride but I think we should win
Matt, are you coping my predictions ? If so, you might come third or even tenth.
Catch the earlier train and we can have a bit of a session in the NBB, early doors is happy hour, you know it makes sense. FO WB.
I used to live in Bournemouth, always a third div team tbh
Nice gardens though and lots of
‘Newly weds n half dead’s
Anyway, 3 wins on the trot is within touching distance and as I’ve been telling my Liverpool mate for months
We Will Be the first team to beat them this season, for me then , this is the third of four straight wins
Jota , Neves, Traore
Utw
Bournemouth are no mugs, they’ll fancy an away win. I think this will be an high scoring game and could go either way.
But I’ll stick to 3-2 Wolves win.
Dover for the Continent.
Bournemouth for the incontinent.
Even the shop windows are bi-focal!
You never know what you are going to get from Bournemouth . Confident in a Wolves win though.
2-1 Wolves
3 wins in 3 games would be amazing. However, Bournemouth is a strong team and their last run of fixtures has been tough. Expecting a close 1-1 draw with chances to win it for both sides.
This a game we should win, but so were the games against Huddersfield, Watford, Brighton.
Pleased to see that Jota read my blog post saying “Jota to be the Wolves player of the year”. His recent performances are what we saw last season. We know how talented he is and I expect him to grow into a very decent player.
As for the match……well I think Bournmouth will be tough to beat so I can see a draw here.
Hope I am wrong and we trash them! 🙂
I hope Jota also read my post, the one praising his ‘glorious return to form’. !
I fully expect him to be as good in the PL as he was in the championship. Remember, he scored 18 goals last season.
I think he is already a very decent player.
I expect him to grow into a great player… !
I hope you are right with the team selection, I totally agree with you. I think this will be really tight, but think we will edge it.
2-1
Let’s be having you Wolves!!!!!
Time we saw a hatful of goals at the Mol, and time for Jimenez to be more selfish and start shooting. he showed against Chelsea and the one that hit the bar at Newcastle that he has got it in his locker.
Tough game in theory, against a team vying with us for a top half spot in the league.
However, an early goal for us could see us enjoy a more emphatic victory than we have enjoyed all season, as Bournemouth will be looking to take at least a point home with them.
Can’t argue with Thomas’s line-up at all, and it’s good to have some big cannons on the bench should we need them.
Only worry for me is the crappy weather will be a massive leveller and render it difficult for us to play our normal game. Still quietly confident though.
I’m looking forward to my first live game of the season. I expect it to be an end to end game but see us coming out on top.
Want us to win. Can’t see us scoring a lot of goals. Can’t see us keeping a clean sheet.
So 2-1 it is.
I agree with your line up Thomas, it’s what I would go with. Jota looks to be finding his feet again & showing signs of the lion hearted player that I loved last season, guts, determination & goals.
I prefer Saiss in the team right now (in mid field) & would start MGW, give Costa a break.
Won’t be an easy game but I’ll stick with last weeks prediction.
COYW
Agree 100% with your team Thomas. I thin we should win this but the forecast of really bad weather may be a factor in some dodgy play by both teams, so the game could turn into a bit of a lottery.
However I think we owe them a good kicking for all the cheating and diving they got away with the last time they came to the Mol, and were ably assisted by that prat Atwell. Just hope he is not in charge tomorrow.
Another win I hope
A three o’clock kick off on a Saturday afternoon!
Gives the away fans (and the home fans coming from some distance) a chance to get to the game and get home again the same evening should they choose.
Who ever thought that would be a good idea?
It’ll never catch on.
I think we’ll squeeze a win tomorrow.
Bournemouth attack well and defend like a team of Roger Johnsons after a liquid training session.
Will try and get to the West Park cafe in time for a cuppa pre-match.
Maestro Neves doesn’t plan to leave the Wolves pack, it seems. Watched a youtube video where he showed off his recent tatto of a wolf on his arm. A very, very beautiful tattoo! Up the Wolves! Adios Juve.
Tough one to call – again! Aren’t they all? 🙂
We haven’t had a clean sheet in a while, so I think it’s time.
Going for 3 in a row from our Wolves, why not!
This is a great chance to extend our winning run, before some tough matches coming at the year end.
Confidence should be high. It’s hard to predict the starting 11 right now. Most under threat would be Costa and Traore, with Cavaleiro, Gibbs-White and Jimenez on stand-by.
I hope he keeps Saiss alongside Neves in midfield. I also think we should stick with Traore who is having to learn a new way to play, but brings excitement to the game.
Bournemouth appear to be doing well, but I fancy our defence to keep solid. Can we score?
Not confident because I think we have a motivation problem against small clubs… and they don’t come much smaller than AFC Bournemouth do they?
I hope I’m wrong. Either way, agree with other people on this site that playing MGW in the no.10 role, connecting the midfield duo to our forward line, is a good idea for breaking them down.
Looking forward to tomorrow!
So we’re not playing Colin & his Cloggers or the bratwurst muncher, Steadie Eddie will tell em to play football & that’ll be his downfall.
Therefore I think Sir NES will return to Neves & Moutinho in mid. Bennett still in up front Jim/Jota/Costa
But, I really don’t care who Sir NES picks he knows much more than me.
Come on mi babbies
Fect .orf u baggies
Well my missus said “that aye funny” but I beg to disagree.
Looking out of the kitchen window this morning I saw next door neighbours cat. It was sitting on the lawn staring me out. So I stared back but he wouldn’t back down. I waved my arms about and pulled some funny faces but still he remained. I resorted to turning the key in the back door and finally he fled. Luckily he hadn’t had a shit so I spared him further torment. The moral of this story is to know your enemies. The cat hates me.I hate the cat. In a similar vein I hate Bournemouth for their blatant cheating. They say what goes around comes around and revenge will be exacted at Molineux tomorrow after the appaling theatrics of a few seasons ago which saw the Ref well and truly conned. Worryingly Lawro has us to win 2-1. Which usually means a loss. So I will probably go for a draw with next door neighbours cat running on the pitch to deflect a wild shot from Jota in off his arse. 2-2. After the match Nuno said ‘you can’t do anything about domestic pets running on the pitch and deflecting the ball in off their arses. I will take the point. Eddie Howe said ‘ I think a cat running on the pitch is shocking.he looked offside to me. He certainly won’t be getting any winalot off me for Christmas but I suppose a point will do’.
Did you see the vid on You tube or somewhere with the dog running on the pitch and saving a certain goal? So it could well happen CofD.
No mate but there you go. Shit happens.safe journey up tomorrow

I had a phase early in the season when I genuinely forecast what I thought the score would be (maybe tinged with a degree of Wolves bias since I have supported them for 65 years) but then during the bad performance period I ended up being driven more by hope than belief (or maybe it was a belief that proved to be misfounded). In any event my prediction league score was moving along nicely until the poor performance phase – and then I ended up being disappointed for many weeks.
So I decided to change my strategy. By predicting a loss, any point or points would be a bonus and I would have the consolation prize of having some prediction league points if Wolves failed. The strategy has worked well for the past two games! I have been very happy in scoring no prediction league points as long as the lads were winning.
Now I have another dilemma. The lads have performed well recently. Bournemouth are on a relatively bad run. I genuinely think that we can win this one. It will be tight because we are not yet able to stroll around the park like Mo Salah did last weekend (what a performer!). But …… my strategy of predicting a loss and enjoying the win has resulted in personal happiness for the last two games. Will a prediction of a victory lead to a disappointing weekend?
Really tough – but I do believe that a close victory is likely so …… Let’s go for it.
Doctor of Psychology obviously, Dr Phil.
Hoping to continue where we left off at Newcastle.
Bournemouth are a good team with a equally good coach.
They are a side who can break quick on the counter just like us,but with us being at home I fancy us to be just a tad better so thats why I’m going for us to sneak a win in a close fought contest.
2-1.
UTW FOWB.
I dont like this fixture.. they have beaten us more than once in the past..
Stinks of a draw but I’ll be positive and say we’ll win ..last goal in off the corner flag or refs leg..
Ha ha ha. The Sandwell away end at Sheffield utd. Pitiful. Mossive club ay we. Only an hour and a bit up the A38.
What a difference a week makes!!! A week ago we looked out of form and we could all pretty much pick our starting 11 every week. Fast forward a week and we have 2 wins under our belts and probably for the first time under Nuno predicting our starting 11 is difficult. Personally i think the team will be similar to the Chelsea team with 2 being picked from Neves, Moutinho and Saiss. Should be a decent game against Bournemouth as they do like to play football but have been in poor run themselves. A win could shoot us right up the league but I would take a point.
Not completely happy with this game; Bournemouth have been clinical when not being stuffed by the top six, so I’ll be happy when the ref blows for full time.
Need to win to maximise potential and I think we will. It ain’t gonna be a Burnley though, so strap yourselves in and prepare for a rollercoaster game.
UTW
Notwithstanding we have wasted a number of goal scoring opportunities in matches so far this season, I think we have also had our fair share of misfortune. However, the football gods gave us a helping hand at Newcastle last week and about time too – long may it continue.
As for Bournemouth, I hope we don’t underestimate them. Although they were heavily defeated by Liverpool they are not a bad side and have a few players who could cause us problems. Hard to say who Nuno will select but I hope they are well prepared for the arctic weather conditions that are forecast. I’m predicting another 2-1 score line but wouldn’t be surprised if it turned out to be a 2-2 draw.
I hope Coady, Bennett & Jota don’t pick up any silly bookings causing them to face a one match suspension. Nuno needs to have all players available for selection against Liverpool and this eagerly awaited mouth-watering fixture.
I’ve said that from day one that if we can get to 25 points by the half way stage, then we will have no problems in securing our status as a top flight club. We are duly on course for that achievement and then it’s full steam ahead to try and get in that top 8 and to push for a European spot.
Whether or not it’s “to early” to go on a European adventure, we would surely secure the services of our top players whilst recruiting even better players to really push on. Me personally says let’s go for it as we wouldn’t do a Burnley.
Our confidence is building and it’s an easy 3 points for me before ending Liverpool’s unbeaten start.
Gibbs White must start!
Top form required here for the Liverpool practice match.
You know your best starting 11 Nuno so play them .
Still hoping for a few more goals. Could this be the one?
Fence sitting time
The weather looks foul so lets hope they don’t like it up em. I think we might even get two goals – an early Xmas pressie!
Before I get in my car I should predict.
See some of you around 1300 hrs in West Park Cafè.
I fancy us keeping a clean sheet for a change and expect our midfield to boss this game but think it will be a tight game against a decent Bournemouth team.
It’s my birthday today, so we had better win, otherwise it will put a damper on the day. Think this one will be a draw though, Bournemouth are a good team.
Callum Wilson will surely score, just to keep rubbing it in for the days when we considered him too expensive. Hopefully it’ll only be a consolation though, with Wolves picking up a third win on the spin.
I am using the Dr Phil philosophy, predict a loss and when wolves win or draw I will be ecstatic
It should be an entertaining game. I hope we’ll just edge it…..
Damn, I missed the deadline to transfer Jota into my FF team, which can only mean he will score a hat-trick today. Also, a clean sheet, please.
Fantastic week. I haven’t been blogging a lot recently because I’m in the middle of a course for work so got my head stuck in that most the time.
I am a bit weary of teams like Born of the Mouth as the Americans would say because they are such a difficult team to suss out. They have plenty in attack so our defense has to be on there game and with our back line one booking away from a ban it puts even more pressure on them.
So going for a 2.1 win to Wolves don’t know why ……?
Come on guys, keep the good work up, we know you are capable. Wish I was there, you lucky Wolves supporters.
Great win today in horrible conditions.
Raul Jimenez was immense!
30 million is looking a better deal by the minute.
And he could easily have a few more goals.
Immense doog. It takes a lot of effort to win 3 Epl games on the bounce. Our lads deserve massive credit. Well done the Lads
