I really wanted to wait until Tuesday morning to write this blog.

Only then will we know precisely what Wolves have and haven’t done in the transfer window.
But with my own deadlines to meet, I can only comment on a dreary Sunday evening about what’s been a disappointing January.
And as much as I want to be measured and patient in my assessment of new recruits, right now it feels like the squad is regressing.
We’ve lost shed loads of pace and devilment through departures and injury and done nothing to address the issue.
It’s the same old Wolves really – lots of investment in potential and stars of the future, but little to enthuse about the here and now.
Bolton
The Trotters haven’t won a single away game in the Championship all season, losing 11 and drawing 3 of their 14 matches to date.
But then again, they hadn’t beaten anyone until Wolves rocked up at the Macron back in September and they secured a routine 2-1 victory.
It then took them another three months to win again, when Blackburn finally saved us from being an embarrassing name check in their miserable season.
Financial woes, a fire sale and the threat of liquidation hasn’t stopped Neil Lennon keeping them in touch with safety though and they come into this game with a chance to further reduce the arrears.
They’ve still got some useful players knocking about too, several of which have been linked with Wolves this month, and have very little to lose in their current situation.
Wolves
With Edwards, Zyro and new signing Mike Williamson beefing up Tony Daley’s treatment room, Kenny Jackett will be happy to at least have Joe Mason fit and raring to go.

There’s an immediate slot for our new striker/number 10 to occupy with Dave Edwards out for the foreseeable so no reason he won’t get his Molineux debut.
Funnily enough, Mason and Le Fondre know each other well from their time together at Bolton (and Cardiff) where both enjoyed successful loan spells.
If the remaining 10 are good to go, I can’t see the manager making too many changes. They were impressive in the second half at Loftus Road, showing there’s still an appetite to compete and the ability to do so.
Predictions
Surely we’re not going to get doubled by a team who’ve only won two other league matches? They’ve long been a bogey team but that would take it to a whole new level.
I might sound all doom and gloom, but I really liked what I saw against QPR. Coady and McDonald are getting better the longer the season goes on and if van La Parra keeps hitting the heights, we’ve always got a chance.
Instinctively, I reckon this might be a draw but to counter balance my negative outlook, I’ll back us to secure the maximum.
2-1
Up The Wolves!
* Our very own StuWolf is joining Sky TV’s presenter Jeff Stelling on his “Men United’s Walk” for Prostrate Cancer on 26th March 2016 and I encourage you to support him in his efforts. You can learn more and sponsor Stuart on his JustGiving page here.

My instinct is the same as yours Thomas. I’ll stick with it but hope I’m wrong. 2-2.
I think i am going to be positive this time out. I (tongue in cheek) predicted the Cardiff loss, but still gave a scoreline to favour us.
I think NOTLOB will not do what Cardiff did and tear us apart, but it has the potential to be a dour game…
Mason to score on his debut, and Wolves to keep it tight.
#UTW
History suggests games between the two clubs are generally close affairs and despite Bolton’s current predicament I think this one will be the same. No idea who will score because I have no idea who will be in our team.
A straight 3-0 win out of the blue will secure another 3 points.
Surely a decent win on the cards against a team who is struggling this season in general.
who knows
and to be honest who really cares now this season…
the club is a joke…
Is it time Coady got himself on the scoresheet? Hopefully we’ll get through this one with three points.
I just can’t imagine that we will loose this fixture..I really can’t …or draw..
I agree ..new depths of despair if we don’t put 2 at least past them..
VLP could beat them on his own…
I just hope that Mason can get some chances to prove himself..this is a fluked debut fixture for him and gives him a real moment to flag wave..
Tactics KJ ..I trust that you plan a rout and give us a chance to make the gap only 6 points..Attack ..Attack..Attack..
COYW
Can’t wait for Williamson ..
Wolves must surely win this one
I’m kind of satisfied with the transfer window so far. I didn’t expect Goldbourne to leave, and I really don’t want Van the man to leave. Mason has been in the scope for a long time, so it’s not a panic buy. It’s a player well scouted. A good allround player with pace (?). If only Jackett and co could manage to land a successful bid for Kike that would be splendid. Unfortuneately Middlesbrough withdrew their bid for Rhodes.
Jackett want to buy a left fullback and another striker. If he succeeds I’ll say we’ve done the best january window in years. I think they’ve managed to use the Afobe money wisely. A lot of quality for a fair price in usually an over inflated january window market. Well done.
I would rather prefer Mason and Van the man than Mason and Le Fondre up front.Van the man has been on fire lately, while Le fondre on the other hand hasn’t exactly impressed. Then I would probably play Byrne on the left. I believe the pace combined with in form players will tear the Bolton defence apart. A comfortable win for Wolves!
Thomas, your a star, thank you for the prompt, Colin, you too deserve my thanks and a pint is awaiting our next meeting for both of you.
I popped into McDonalds last Sunday and bumped into Ben who was with his lovely wife and his son who captained his side to an 8-1 win. Ben’s face and his dispair painted the picture of our season so far.
So I hope with what we’ve done so far and hopefully what tomorrow brings in the transfer market will pick his chin up off the floor and he’s back bantering soon.
If Ben can teach a load of youngsters to slot 8 goals in, come on Kenny it’s on a plate, surely you can’t bugger this up, (Bristol City springs to mind)
So for me 4-0 to the Wanderers.
Slider, Sevlow,
Thank you gentlemen, your donations are in the hands of Prostate cancer UK and have taken my total to over £430 already.
StuWolf
I am beginning to dread home games-but surely we have to do well against Bolton. So come on Vic – let’s be optimistic! A 3-0 win for us.
I think that we will grind out some kind of win
Utw
I think it is going to be a good wolves win if everyone plays to their a game
Ikeme
Iorfa Batth EEL Doherty
McDonald Coady
VLP Mason Byrne
Sigurdarson
Too much gloom and despondency on here of late and this is the team to lift our collective moods. That’s provided VLP is still with us of course, and Siggys’ back has recovered.
We need to really go for it, ’cause one point is as little use as none at all now.
Only a win will do, and I think we’ll get one.
3 – 1 to the Wolves. Notlob a poor side and we are not that bad.
First one of the day.
Apparently they have signed Jonathon Nanizayamo last night, 6’4″ Striker from Lens. Arriving late last night. Then I got a text this morning to say it’s true, so I shall be watching Official Wolves closely. They say they paid big for him, £4 million being the rumour.
1 Striker down, now where’s that Defender Nico from Walsall.?
Danny Batth linked with Bornemouth this morning, (again)
RVLP Had talks with the Huddersfield chairman yesterday afternoon, as of midnight last night he stated, “he’s staying” let’s see how the lure of the Wonga is.
Jonathon Nanizayamo, a striker who doesn’t strike.
His goal scoring record is less than impressive.
I can’t see Morgan spending £4M of his hard earned money on him.
Doog,
The blogs have been going mad saying the same thing, so we wait and see, it’s all rumour until they hold the Old Gold and Black shirt up.
Wolfstroker & Steppenwolf.
Thank you guys and girls for your donations truly wonderful stuff from all the folk on the blog truly great people.
StuWolf
Some people actually rated him as one of Lens best players. Maybe we should learn this song by heart: NA-NI-ZA-YA-MO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aDVYiLOWSvE
LOL :=)
From the videos on youtube I would say his style of play reminds me a bit of Adebayor.
Just a wild guess…
In reality Robin, that’s all any of us do. Although we may pretend otherwise.
Speak for yourself and Robin, Wolfstroker (only joking!).
I can’t be bothered to wait and see if we sign anyone else before midnight.
As Williamson is injured I can’t see a clean sheet, so my wild guess is – surely we can beat this lot can’t we?
COMBs!
Too bloody knackered to analyse the match against Bolton so I’m opting for my ‘go to’ result.
Basically, if we can’t stick three past the Trotters, we don’t deserve to wear old gold shirts and bear the name of The Wolves.
So let’s have no more messing about please lads – get into ’em!
I think the medication is causing hallucinations again.
I’ve just read that Brentford are offering £750K for Ebanks-Landell.
Whatever we may think about him – and we do think about him a lot don’t we – selling him now would be complete madness….
Wouldn’t it?
Well yes – didn’t Kenny say earlier this season that EEL had the potential to play for England?
Maybe then he’d have more luck finding a white shirt rather than an old gold one lol!
http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jonathan-nanizayamo/profil/spieler/158868
£4 mill ? hope rumours are not true they rate at 105K
Doog.
I’d take the money and stick it onto the Walsall defender Nico. Now that would be the deal of the year, Nay Century.
Please God pass that one on to Kenny. What a cherry pick that would be.
Come on Doog, give you something positive to deal with, let’s get to Brentford do the deal then shoot up to Walsall and clinch the biggest bargain to be had.
Bore draw. But do I care?
We have a run of very winnable games this month until we reach Derby on the 27th. 12 points out of a possible 18 will be very nice thank you. More will be a bonus as we’ll do well to get 6 points in March. Onwards and upwards.
105 thousand?
That’s the sort of price we got for Alun Evans, 100 years ago.
If we are considering paying out that much, he must be another Bully.
It would be typical of our wonderful dynamic duo to get something like this wrong, again.
Anyrode, we cant influence them, so if we buy him, and he turns out onto the pitch, I’m sure he will get 100% support from everyone on the terraces.
If a bloke wears the old gold and black, he deserves our backing, until such time as he don’t perform.
As to Notlob.
They haven’t won since last pancake Tuesday, we have the happy knack of ending other teams losing streaks, so an obvious result tomorrow.
Yes, we’re gonna stuff ’em 5 – 1 !!!
And WHITE RABBITS to all of y’all.
FOwb
Can’t see us playing 4-2-3-1 without a strongman up front and, transfer rumours aside, unless Siggy has recovered we don’t have one. So it could be 4-4-2 time. Think we’ll struggle to score goals even if we create chances, but surely we can beat this lot…?
We need a striker but a few good results could still reignite the season. Looks like sixth place could go for a much lower points total this time. Derby looked very flat at the weekend and they have hit a bad run again. Still a long way to go lets start with 2-0 to WWFC.
Would like to see a clean sheet, but not sure without Williamson and Bolton have scored a couple in the last few weeks.
WTF. Sky has got Tom Bradshaw accepted terms with Bristol City. Well if that one comes off, There’s a boy with high flying ambitions.
An Italian striker we’ve been chasing has just turned us down in Serie A, wants to build his career in Italy. Hmmmm
I’m going for a big win, bogey opposition or not.
In front of a low crowd and with the feeling of an end of season game at least for us I think a draw is the most likely. The play offs are a distant memory if they were ever in our sights and with Bolton fighting for their lives a draw is favourite. Could depend on how many players Bolton lose today. Roll on next season.
Wolves will win tomorrow night and I think it will be a comfortable victory by a three goal margin.
At least Six Wolves supporters travelling from Bedford which methinks is pretty good for this midweek game vs the bottom team in what has been a troublesome season really.
Wolves v Bolton is a fixture between the two original Wanderers which evokes some good and bad memories and here are three from my locker – all of which were contested at Burnden Park…..
That often outspoken and abrasive character Brian Clough had quite a lot to thank Wolves for in the 1970’s both of which occurred in the last game of the season. Firstly in 1972 that incredible victory over Leeds which presented Clough and Derby with the title and secondly in May 1977, Clough, now manager at Notts Forest in the old second division with his sidekick Peter Taylor, required Wolves to win at Bolton which would enable Forest to leapfrog them and finish third. Wolves, already guaranteed promotion along with Chelsea needed a win to cement top spot although our superior goal difference over Chelsea meant we could have lost and still won the title. Against this backdrop and must, ifs and maybes nearly 37,000 sardined into Burnden Park including 8,000 travelling supporters, who were housed in a ridiculously overcrowded open terrace – not an all ticket game! (All captured on YouTube).
After a few minutes Wolves scored the only goal of the game when a well worked free kick between Willie Carr and Kenny Hibbit started with a dummy run by the latter, a sweet chip over the wall by the former over the shoulder to the latter who had bypassed the wall and volleyed home. The Bolton keeper made a despairing dive and parried the ball but it rolled into the corner.
Bolton urged on by then player Big Sam took the game to Wolves; well they had to, but Pierce, Munro, Brazier, Parkin and Palmer (plus the woodwork and a disallowed goal) denied Bolton any points and Wolves ran out winners and Forest, who had already completed their season, were promoted. The rest, as they say, is history. Forest went onto win the first division title and then two European Cups. There now followed the customary pitch invasion – I kid ye not some Wolves fans on the train before the game made arrangements to meet on the penalty spot on the final whistle – when the corner flags were used as javelins as fans fought on the pitch.
I know this has been commented on elsewhere on other web sites but the street fighting after the game had to be witnessed to be believed. Hundreds of Wolves and Bolton fans went at each other like two rival Canadian Moose stags during the September mating season. On the way back to the railway station to catch the “special” the sky became thick with rocks and bottles and lord knows what else. 1970’s football in all its glory…….
When Wolves visited Bolton in October 1988 the circumstances could hardly have been more different. Both clubs were in the third division – Wolves after a catastrophic fall from grace were battling back and climbing the league on the back of Bully’s goals. Bolton were meandering in mid table after being promoted from the fourth division with Wolves the previous season.
The “attendance” was about 25% who crammed in for the 1977 promotion battle, with 2,000 or so from Wolves. We fell behind but then came an equaliser I will always remember for some reason. Kendall launched a moon landing, Mutch headed it on and Bully ran round the blind side to slot the ball home, a real route one! Bully ran round in front of the dancing Wolves fans doing the “aeroplanes” and we tried to grab him through the fence. Dennison grabbed a second and we had a sweet victory on our charge up the leagues.
I do recall travelling to that game on Whittles coaches organised by those stalwarts Muriel and Albert Bates. These two battled to keep away support alive during the dreadful days of the mid 1980’s and also organised the trip to the London HQ of the Bhatti Brothers. I frequently travelled with Whittles in those days, partly to support Muriel and Albert as much as anything else.
Now fast forward to January 1997 and the “Battle of Burnden Park” in which all 22 players were involved. Let us be honest most pitch skirmishes are simply hand bags at nine paces. Not this one. Not by a long chalk – with our old mate John McGinley in the thick of it. This was Ali v Frazier, Minter v Hagler, Lee v Hunter, Rangers v Celtic, Honduras v El Salvador all rolled into one – and it started about 3 minutes into the game! Herewith I reproduce the match report from a Bolton perspective and to cap it all we lost 3 – 0! Oh how I detest Notlob…
“AS two founder members of the Football League, the two Wanderers – Bolton and Wolverhampton – developed a rich and sometimes fierce history of rivalry.
But throw John McGinlay into that mix and it was like tossing a match into a powder keg.
Explosive just doesn’t go close to describing the atmosphere when the legendary Super John – the idol of Bolton Wanderers fans – set about winding up the Molineux faithful.
But it was never quite as feisty as in January 1997 when Colin Todd’s Wanderers were blazing a trail at the top of Division One and Mark McGhee’s Wolves were desperately trying to stay in the promotion hunt.
It might have been unseemly at the time but “The Battle of Burnden Park”, as it became known, will stand forever as a treasured memory for the Bolton fans who witnessed it.
A 22-man brawl – no exaggeration – set the scene for a victory that left no-one under any illusions. Bolton were not just on their way back to the Premier League, they were going up as champions.
There was still a lot of football to be played that season but with Wanderers now nine points clear of the field and with 17 games to play, McGhee conceded the title on behalf of the chasing pack when he said: “I think they won the league with this victory.
“They are the best side in the division by a long way. We were well beaten but we are one of half a dozen clubs up there who are not as good as them.
“Our consolation is that there is only one team in this division as good as that and the rest are as good as ourselves.”
It was not, it must be acknowledged, a dirty game. Hotly contested, yes, but there were only three bookings.
Even so, there was an under-current of hostility which had its roots in recent history and which was fuelled when McGinlay – Public Enemy No 1 in the eyes of the Wolves fans not least because he got away with flooring David Kelly in the memorable play-off semi-final of 1995 – went out 10 minutes before kick off to give the visitors a wave.
It was a cute trick, but there was nothing cute about the brawl that was later described by a bemused referee David Allison who recalled: “At two minutes past three I gave a goal kick and all hell broke loose.”
Once the dust had settled Todd’s men set about imposing their superiority and, no disrespect to the Old Golds, it was no contest.
McGinlay (who else?) delivered the first decisive blow after 21 minutes, heading home Bryan Small’s cross to make it 20 for the season.
Bolton assumed control in the first half and turned the screw in the second with the defence, superbly marshalled by the rock-solid Gerry Taggart, refusing to give Wolves a sniff of a chance while McGinlay’s sidekick Nathan Blake stepped up a gear.
It proved an unpleasant afternoon all round for the 3,000 visiting fans who were furious at half-time when Wanderers mascot Lofty the Lion performed his usual two-minute routine right under their noses – and was pelted by missiles including hot meat pies. (What a waste).
The pride of Bolton ended up being reported to the Football Association for incitement but Burnden’s top brass told him to carry on entertaining.
Back on the pitch, the Wolves players – outmuscled and outplayed in all areas – contributed to their own downfall when when defender Keith Curle volleyed Taggart’s deep cross into his own net with no white shirt anywhere near him.
And four minutes later, it was all over when Blake netted his 18th of the season.
Todd refused to count his chickens but knew his players had achieved another significant victory in their quest for the title.
“We showed our steel and when people say we can’t keep a clean sheet, we have proved them wrong.
“The players did their talking on the pitch to make Wolves look indifferent.
“Taggart was colossal but if I’m looking to pick out players I could go right through the team.”
Then, revealing McGinlay had been doubtful with a calf injury and had needed painkilling injections before the game and at half time, Todd spelled out just how important the talismanic Scot was to the cause.
“John epitomises the spirit of the football club,” the manager said. “I told him I knew he was not quite fit but I badly needed him out there . . . that’s how important he is to the club.
“Psychologically it was important to get him out there because he has always been a thorn in their side.”
It was a sombre journey back to the Black Country and of course we lost in the play offs to Palace whilst Bolton were promoted.
In summary we have played Bolton on 127 occasions. Wolves have 52 victories and Bolton 51 so its mighty close boys! Enjoy the game tomorrow my fellow Wolves fans.
BOG
You should write a book BOG. Oh sorry, you just have. 🙂
I will wait for the film
Great trip down memory lane, BOG – excellent piece!
UTW!
I told you he was good didn’t I?
Bloody hell Mike I wouldn’t have thought it possible but you write even more than you talk! Mind when you are 103 years old like you are you are bound to have a lot of memories to impart. lol
P.S. if anyone wants to use my season ticket just say – work prevents me going as usual for midweek games.
P.P.S. are you coming too Reading with the Polish army?
Epic,BedOG.Remember it well.
Remember the copper on the white horse, in the middle of the pitch?
surely we must win this one
We will win this one and my name is not Shirley
On paper this should be a nailed on home win but this is Wolves and with our best attacking players out coupled with having a weekend of I can only see a frustrating draw which would kill off any hope of making the play offs the season.
These are the games and teams we should be rolling over if we were serious about promotion.
We have to win this one…………don’t we????
Hi Guys
A mate in Wolvo sent me this link – thought I would share it with fellow Wolves bloggers to see what you think..
http://crywolffootball.com/2016/01/23/why-im-glad-i-no-longer-have-a-wolves-season-ticket/
An Italian changing his mind ! Really!! Well feck him. Not bothered to analize this one much , we never beat them do we ! But they are really crap at the moment, so. Wanderers 1 wanky wanderers 1. Roll on August
I’m going to leave my prediction until after the window closes.
Some of you may have seen this on Twitter – apparently a genuine quote from Terry Wogan (RIP), which sounds like he was a Subbuteo fan as a kid:-
“I could hardly wait to get home from school and lay out my pitch on the carpet… Spurs against Arsenal, Manchester Utd -v- Wolves – the greatest teams in the land were at my fingertips”
Great stuff, Terry – pity one of them has fallen so far, but we still dream of past glories, don’t we?
Probably a lot more once Bob The Builder and Moxey sling their hook!
UTW!
You are a brave man given that so far our search for a striker and a left back has resulted in extending Wallace’s loan at Millwall and sending Ismail on loan to Oxford. Quelle surprise eh? I mean its not as if Moron and Toxic have history in trousering the proceeds when they sell our best players now is it? Kightly, Jarvis, Fletcher, Stearman and Afobe brought in £40m of which I reckon less than 10% was spent on replacements.
Bedford,
In the end I couldn’t be bothered to wait for 11pm (see elsewhere, where I have delusion ally gone for a 2-1 Wolves win even without Williamson) – I must have had a premonition that your posting was imminent!
My mind is working overtime imagining the phrase “trousering the proceeds”!
I think it was Sky who mentioned this afternoon that there is a further month for loan signings – tailor made for more Toxic b*****t methinks.
I wish those two would hurry up and go, so that we can start rebuilding under a new owner who hopefully is a football man AND prepared to speculate sensibly to accumulate – I can dream, can’t I ?
Time for a lie down!
Boro site said, “Kike wil not be leaving in this window, his family are settled in the area”
Bloody hell, where the hell did he live in Spain if Boro is luring him to stay?
My dislike of Bolton goes back to the late 80’s and away trips to the dreary Burnden Park. Including sneaking in to the seats on the side during the ban after the infamous trip to Scarborough in division 4. They usually beat us with a dodgy goal and the referee is always playing for them. Then there was John F**kin McGinlay. Hate that fat git. But tomorrow we will shade it by the odd goal. Just like we did at fellow bogey side Brighton. By the way . I’ve just seen Lionel Messi in the KFC on Goldthorn Hill.

More fecking fixture changes! Brum now Sunday at 1.15pm. Buggars up me and BOG’s choir singing at the local church. P.S. churches in Bedford almost outnumbered by mosques these days.
Be careful young man, this blog is monitored by the PC police, I’m sure you should not be using the word Chur^# it’s very offensive to non believers in this land of equal opportunities and ethnic diversity. I actually read some of the Koran the other day, to see exactly what they were on about, and you know, it really is a religion of love and tolerance……to other muslims.
But if you aint one, then off with your head and other deaths.
So, if you are a muslim, and read this, and are not offended, please let me know, and I will try harder.

Epic blog from BOG…the brilliant detail makes it feel like time travel.
Somehow don’t think that tomorrow’s fare will generate a worthy word picture from someone 20 years from now.
This game has draw written all over it…so I think I’m inclined to predict a win as I can’t bear to think of a loss.
I’m getting my prediction in before I go to bed exhausted from 40 hours of travel!
If the match is like my prediction you’ll have to wake me up ….
Start praying it’s not as bad as the Baggies against the Villa – otherwise you will be in a deep slumber lol!
Looking forward to the game.
We’ve been linked to a few strikers today so still hopeful at the eleventh hour of getting 1 or 2 in.
My only fear is that Bolton have been on such a bad run of late and them being our nemesis we could do the unthinkable and not turn up again.
My head thinks its gonna be 2-0 to me babbies. UTW
Anyone else seen the news Chris Wood having a medical ? From what I’ve seen of him,he’s a lazy sod.
My heart says a win but my head says a draw !!
Should be an easy win but then again we are Wolves
we’ll win this one.
Sometimes
it’s not that deep
it misses the fan
and someone hands you a paddle
My Cardiff mates in the office are well pleased with the money the club got for Mason. We desperately need a big strong striker to help him but with an hour to go to the window closing it seems as though no one is coming in.
I’m going for a bore draw (but desperately hoping for a win).
Peterborough Chairman Tweets that before QPR signed him. Jez rang their CEO to enquire about Connor Washington and quickly put the phone down when they told him the price…..
The Club is a joke..
I’ll prefer to say we did some terrific business with the 3 players we signed. Most of the Peterborough fans were happy he left – for such a big sum. Run to the bank, they shouted.
It would have been a typical january buy. 2mill more than market price.
Less than 3mill for Mason and the pocket moneys we bought Zyro for is probably under market prize. They tried to sign Kike, but Middlesbrough pulled out. An italian wife prevented a transfer for Aquafresca. Boilesen didn’t want a move to wolves, which probably has something to do with our table position. January is a difficult window – but they tried.
Hopefully they continue to try to bring in another striker when the loan window opens.
With one exception – Goldbournes departure – I’m satisfied with how we’ve done it. I believe Mason and Zyro will manage to collect more points together than Afobe. If they each can produce as much as Afobe, in terms of assists and goals, it would probably have more than 6 pts impact and put us into the play-offs zone. But then again, we’ve lost Jordan Graham to injury :=( Will Byrne step up and produce J.Graham like performances? And we don’t know what Sigurdarson is capable of yet. As a team unit I think we’re stronger than when we started the season, which makes me optimistic. It depends how many points the teams over us drops. I was really baffled that we weren’t able to close more of the gap to the playoffs despite winning five matches in row.
I think it’ll be like Fulham at home, we should win by a hatful but end up clinging on
My old mans heading up the South Bank for old times sake; he’s 78 and I’ve never known him stand there in my 43 years. C’mon Wolves give him him something to be happy about.
Surely we have to win this one ……don’t we?
And so the transfer window slams shut and we have signed………………..no-one. So that’s a cool £6.75m warming the pockets of Moron and Toxic. God almighty Thelwell and Jackett are truly incompetent and the contempt with which M&M hold this club and us the fans beggars belief. Strikers were being signed all over the place and clubs with real owners with ambition and passion and vision were beefing up their squads everywhere else except us. We are a sad joke, a lame duck going nowhere except backwards. Pretty soon non-league clubs will be outspending us and paying better wages than us. Come the Summer Iorfa, Hause, Ikeme, Batth, McDonald, Dicko and, when fit, Graham will be sold and not replaced. Like Sako and Stearman and Afobe and Golbourne. That’s it for me for this season. Will go to Reading on Saturday as already planned the weekend (staying over with an old school mate who lives there) but no more. My season ticket can sit in my wallet unused.
Was just going to say Lol but apparently it is too short a comment to register hence these additional largely redundant words. Lol
Hmmmmmm. All I can do is hope. Good luck Stu, see you on the 13th.
Bogey team and fighting for there lives right now, they’ll be comming here looking for a point minimum, so i can understand so many draw predictions.
I think this will be a tight game with few goals in it, but we only need one if the defence can hold up.
Buses parked and we don’t seem to have the right keys
I see the team that Moxey left to come and infest us spent £18.3m on a striker yesterday.
I wonder why they’re doing so well these days?
I sincerely hope that tonight’s performance does not emulate our performance in the transfer mkt..
We don’t seem to be taken seriously do we ? Kike sounded really good actually…….
In hindsight these are significant times…we get seriously ridiculed by the likes of Bournmouth ffs..yep Bournmouth..they even pick off our best player who says he will learn a lot ..we are quite incredibly inept…
If it’s too difficult to negotiate and acquire appropriate new players by
the transfer deadline, what true hope have we got in negotiations to sell the club?
God knows what will happen tonight. As long as I can remember Bolton have been a bogy team.
Logically we should win but then whenever did logic come into things at the MOl.
As others have said they will probably park a couple of buses and we will not have a clue.
Still have to predict a narrow win in a bloody awful game.
Tipton.
I think the mood on this site expresses the lack of enthusiasm from our peers,
Thank god we can still maintain a sense of humour.
Thank you so much for your donation toward Prostate cancer, at least we on this blog are doing our bit and
that spurs me on. I don’t know what drives M&M on other than greed.
But Thank you kind sir.
StuWolf
And here’s some valuable info: Drink Granate apple juice and prevent prostate cancer.
You do have to admire the swift movements of our ceo though , to get the afobe deal done!!
We really should win this one. Guessing which way the game will go is almost impossible. I was watching match of the day recently, and feeling very envious watching Leicester City playing attractive football, and a manager who knows how to manage and make decent substitutions. It must feel like winning the lottery for those fans.
If you want Byrne,Stearman must go.
If you want Williamson,Golbourne must go.
If you want to sell Early Bird,You must go.
Excellent, Rachael.
I’m going to tweet this on the Wolves official site addressed to Moxey.
Also, the fastest Wolves deal of the transfer window was selling
Sums us up.
Love it, Rachael!
Any score will do as long as we win
COYW
Notlob = bogey team
Wolves = Not that good at home
It’s all set for an away win but we have new blood in the team and Mason will be keen to impress and stamp his potential god-like status with the fans. So it’s a debut hat-rick for the lad.
:-0
Well Thomas, if you’d waited till this morning you wouldn’t have written anything different I don’t think.
As for me I feel Kenny has been jilted at the altar again like the proverbial unfortunate would-be bride. Sod off to Spain, Kike. What’s wrong with signing for Wolves. Don’t answer that, we know already.
Tonight I’m going for a comfortable win, based on form and league position. Surely we can’t blow this one (I’m not calling you Shirley, Thomas).
Another disappointing end to a transfer window but not at all unexpected.
Our home form is terrible so who knows what to expect. We should win this game so I am feeling very nervous.
Rachel, best comment on here for months!!

I am surprised my very observant fellow bloggers have missed this:
Why is the picture at the top of the blog back to front???
God almighty Clive. I bet your feckin fences are straight, If ever I go into business you’re the first bloke I shall call,
Oh yeah nearly forgot.
Wanna buy a used car.
🙂
It’s back to front for two reasons:
The website is done by an inexperienced apprentice. He has a few skills which need developing. One for the future, obviously.
The second reason is that it has been purposely done, as it reflects the way our club is run. Back to front, upside down………..anything but as it should be.
Totally underwhelmed by the lack of spend, knowing that the bulk of the Afobe money was tucked away in the vault to cover the end of parachute money next year.
It will be just our luck tonight that a 40 year old donkey named heskey will score with a header and win the game. While I`m having a day off work and can drive over from Nottingham, I`m asking myself why am I bothering as I type this.
M&M are praying KJ keeps us in the championship (with both arms tied behind his back), better chance of a sale if that’s achieved. As for Morgan pumping millions in, bollucks, I`m sure any paper loses will be creatively accounted for to offset the massive profits made by Redrow. What are accountants for in any case.
Complete fucking shambles. I just hope we win tonight and Mason (didn`t notice him in the Cardiff) has a good game, and van Parra tees him up. I see the lunatics in charge tried to sell our quickest player to Huddersfield. I`d love to read KJ`s autobiography when he retires about his time at Molinuex, shame on the owner and his useless side prick ceo.
#Haiku for #Wolves..
Not Lob tonight.
Not alot happen at Molineux
On transfer day…
I think we might just scrape this one
isn’t it amazing, when we sell, it happens so quickly. Stearman, Afobe, Golbourne. Yet, when we’re buying we get a long drawn out, and almost always unsuccessful, saga. For example, we get led to believe that some hot-shot Dane (?) is having a medical at the Mol. Turns out he wasn’t even in the country. We practically agree terms with enough clubs and players to start a whole new Wolves first team and yet they miraculously melt away like snow. We get fired up by the news that Boro have signed Rhodes and Kike has left the training ground on his way to somewhere (and he has in fact, we are told, agreed terms with us, so we presume he is coming to Molineux) for a medical. By some stroke of fortune Mason signed, but it wasn’t quick (like quick when we’re selling) but he too wobbled before signing. Normally they wobble and don’t sign.
Knowing our luck the new signing will get kicked in the calf and be sidelined for three weeks. I’d love to see more young blood get an opportunity in the latter part of this season, and put that experience into practice next season as we storm through the division. Then we can sell them all just before we get relegated in two years time. At least there’ll be money in the bank. That’s what it’s all about isn’t it?
Would have liked a couple more signings but obviously Moxey needed his pie money more! Interesting to see who starts but I hope we have enough in the tank for a win.
Stu thanks for your kind words to Tipton Exile, you are a star yourself & respect to you for your charity work. Prod received & donation all sorted.
Come on Wolves.
BorderWolf.
It’s me thanking all you guys as usual, you and your Dad are terrific and make this blog site unique in it’s unswerving generosity.
Thank you again

COMB’s
You’re welcome
Bolton will get the obligatory goal but we should be able to beat this lot.
Surely we can’t lose tonight.
Siggy to score!
Possible banana skin!!
Bollox. A draw snatched from the jaw of victory. Kind of sums up wolves.
Unfortunately, sounds like Bolton deserved it. Outplayed in second half.
Glad the new boy got off to a good start though.
Well that was shit even against our bogey team
Writing was on the wall after the first half ..it was then down to KJ.
I say no more..Roll on Williamson..
Top six back to llol
Should have bought a centre forward but sounded a dire performance all round after the early goal. Dont quite get the way players come in and out of favour with Kenny. RVLP seems to be getting over his loan spell.
Strikerless, strikerless, fekin strikerless.
What a pile of shite. Can someone please tell me how Jack Price doesn’t get into this team because it is beyond me.
The end of this season can’t come soon enough. I have a feeling Kenny might walk if the club isn’t sold by then.
My comment to Borderwolf when bolton equalised was bollocks.
When Ipshit scored the winner Double bollocks.
What a crap night
Utter dross. The usual Boltonreferee syndrome kicked in prior to their equaliser. But to be honest it was shite. Total shite. 11 points can’t come soon enough . Early bird e mail coming soon. Will think long and hard. But as usual will end up buying it. These clowns running the club need to take a long hard look at themselves. The mistakes of the last 4 or 5 years just keep repeating themselves. Again and again and again………
I can’t repeat what I just said to BOG in a text whilst he makes the two hour journey home – I couldn’t go because of work – but suffice to say I referred to Morgan, Moxey, Thelwell and Jackett as something a bit like ducking barsteward runts. The contempt they all clearly feels towards OUR club – contempt mixed with incompetence and greed in all honesty – is matched only by my passion to see all four of the pathetic, useless little worms run out of Wolverhampton whilst there is still breath in my body. We are being ripped off and taken to the cleaners by these liars.
I know their equaliser was a deflection with help from that diabolical referee, but Hackett’s gotta take a lot of the blame for not shutting the game up when 2 up.
Another astonishing thing was KJ’s team selections for his starting line up,why play Rowe when you’ve got wingers on the bench and why play the new lad Mason out of position where he was ineffective all game.
KJ for me is tactically inept like most of our managers of late.
We needed a striker desperately in the January window and like all the other times gone by Zilch.
But the thing is we made a prophet with the sales of Adobe and Goldbourne.
Gotta say Siggy had a decent game nice to see him back.
I’ve been a season ticket holder for the last 25 years and at the moment I don’t know if I want to continue to be disappointed by what I’m watching of late.where’s all the football gone Hackett.?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
A worse Team than we had in league one.. playing even worse football.
That was the worse 90 minutes I have seen by 2 teams for a long long time…
Aren’t 2-2 draws meant to be exciting games…
Complete and utter rubbish from both teams..
And you would of said we were the team bottom of the league if you didn’t know..
The Club is a Joke..
In Fact we should get Toasters to put a new Banner up..
“This is Our Club and its a f*****g Joke”
The heading says “speak your mind”.
In the interest of common decency and the fact we have some lovely ladies contributing to this site, my lips are sealed. Tipton Exile my Jen De Wolf was party to the same words as we threw away a perfectly winnable game.
Nuff Said about that rubbish.
PeakWolf, Wolfman Jack and Midfield Wanderer.
Thank you wonderful guys for your support as goes for the whole of this blog site, you are the most generous people I know.
I have just received a letter from Jeff Stelling because his Charity has just reached £30,000. I know for fact that he posted the other day saying he had raised £27,800. Well you fantastic guys and girls have taken our total to £815 in a remarkable 6 days, when you think how many other people are involved in this appeal you can see that we are screaming on. They set targets to be achieved by April 27th, we’ve exceeded then in 6 days.
A million thanks.
From
A very proud StuWolf
That is fantastic Stuart ! 🙂
Nothing changes if nothing changes. Boycott wolves early bird. I know it will cost us fans extra money by not renewing until closer to the start of the next season but seriously unless the club is sent a very strong message they seriously will not give a shit. I hate to be brutal about it but by signing up to early bird loyal fans like us are just perpetuating the problem. The agenda has to start being influenced by us. Morgan will make moxey his sacrificial lamb if he sees the clubs cash flow falling off a cliff. He is wanting to exit and so he will do anything not to dip his hand in his pocket unnecessarily, hence the afobe sale and restrictions on only recycling a small proportion of the cash. If financially Moxey’s continued presence is seen as a real issue he will get rid of him. This very sadly is a war against our own club. Morgan and moxey are the enemy. Therefore, you have think what is the last thing your enemy would want you to do………..
