There was always going to be the odd bump in the road, but nobody expected a crater.

Defeats to Ipswich, Derby, Forest and Brentford are nothing to be ashamed of, the league table attests to that, but to lose consecutively and by a 14-1 aggregate scoreline is concerning.
None of those sides, with the possible exception of Derby, are streets ahead of Wolves, but injuries to key personnel have unsettled the team and allowed opposition to disrupt the rhythm.
The most worrying thing is that Kenny Jackett is moving around all the pieces on the board, but the end result remains the same.
Bournemouth
Six consecutive wins briefly propelled the Cherries to the top of the table, but three straight draws have allowed theĀ peloton to reel them back in.
Still, they’re on a nine game undefeated streak and arrive at Molineux sniffing blood. The last time they were in the West Midlands they put eight past a hapless Birmingham side.
Callum Wilson, a player Wolves were heavily linked with, is their eleven goal top scorer, but he’s a doubt for this fixture with a hamstring injury.
They’re not a one man team though and have quality throughout the squad. Gosling, Surman and Ritchie have all scored several goals from midfield this season.
Wolves
The team that started last weekend did reasonably well for half an hour, but when Brentford scored and Scott Golbourne went off injured, the wheels came off.

Dave Edwards has been fantastic in 2014 tucked in behind Nouha Dicko. But without the Mali man’s pace, Edwards hasn’t been as effective.
If Danny Graham is going to continue as the lone front man, I’d like to see Michael Jacobs in the Number 10 pocket. We need more invention because we didn’t lay a glove on Brentford.
McDonald and Evans remain the premier partnership in midfield for me, but it could just as easily be Rowe, Saville or the recalled Jack Price.
The gaffer
Predictions
Well done to everyone who profited from the misery at Griffin Park. A small consolation granted.
Wolves need to stop the rot, whether that’s a glorious, free flowing victory or an ugly, hard-fought point.
Hoping for the former, but expecting the later.
1-1
Up The Wolves
* I wrote a short article for the Birmingham Mail yesterday about the impact of Nouha Dicko, which you can read on their site by clicking here.
* I also answered some questions for Bournemouth fan site, Cherry Chimes, which will be live on their site from Friday morning.

I’d put Ricketts at right back and Hause at left back.
I’d recall Price alongside McDonald otherwise it’s the same team as above.
I think it’s important to bring in some players who haven’t lost any confidence and have a point to prove. Hause, Price and Jacobs would do that.
We have to get back to winning ways otherwise I fear the tide will turn against Jackett. As you say to lose to these teams isn’t a disgrace as a newly promoted club but the manner of the defeats and 14-1 aggregate scoreline is embarrassing.
totally agree John! wolves will have to put on a big and improved performance tomorrow as I fear we could start sliding even further down the table! are you in S1 tomorrow mate?
The past month has been a massive concern. The 14-1 ratio flags up more than some bad luck. We’re starting to look like one trick ponies…and that is Dicko. Without him we look pretty inert. Danny Graham, your time is now!
One of these days we have to win, right? Bournemouth have been impressive recently but I’m hoping Kenny figured things out in practice this week.
Sako and Graham to net his first Wolves goal
Haven’t been on here for a couple of years and seems very much like ‘deja vu’. Instead of talking about 14-1 then surely its 17-1 starting with the capitulation at Millwall in the last 20 minutes followed by the turgid display against the Blues. Don’t think he can risk playing Evans this week after last Saturday. If it starts to go wrong again he is the one the fans will target. One up front just isn’t working with 3 shots on target from two games. Ridiculous decision at half time at Brentford. He loses Goldbourne, has a full back playing at centre back so brings on Rowe again to play at left back. Why didn’t he play Stearman and move Ricketts across ? Get the impression that KJ is as stubborn as McCarthy which is dangerous. Price should start with McDonald and Jacobs. Hope Sako is up for it. Need more consistency from him. Anyway all hands to the pump and a two nil win.
Whoops no d in Golbourne
Much as I would love to see Wolves win, I don’t see enough improvement to beat an up and coming team like B’Moutnh (Blimey did I just say that??)
Things will improve when we get to meet a weaker team and Dicko is back in the squad.
I have had the urine extracted from me recently, with my slightly optimistic forecasts, but I aye skeered!!
It’s like the lottery numbers you use week in week out, and never win.
If you change them, they will come up, or so the theory goes.
I aint much for theorems, all I do know is one day we are gonna stuff someone 5 -1 and why not this week?
KJ will not have the burden of Manager of the Month hanging round his neck, surprisingly, so the pressure is off!!
Bournemouth.
I went there once.
It was closed.
In days of old, Pete Morgan, Lloydy, Scooped and I went walking down Bournemouth with plastic tommy guns pointing every which way, demanding money or knickers from the local shop girls!!
Oh the innocence of youth!
Could never happen now.
I digress!
They are on a good unbeaten run, and will be expecting to stuff us like wot they did to Bloose.
No chance.
We are finally going to wake up, you lot in the crowd will get behind the lads 100%, and three points for an early Chrissy Prezzie, thank you very much.
FOwb
Have to agree with you about Bournemouth matey.
It used to be,
Dover for the Continent
Bournemouthfor the Incontinent
On that note,
You’re right – it could never happen now.
I have it on good authority that nowadays the shop girls in Bournemouth don’t wear any knickers.
(Joke)
But they were very realistic plastic tommy guns! Not much bloody use against that tank though:)
Vauxhall Viva
Viva Bobby Joe

Think we’ll stop the rot with a score draw 2mrw.
Home advantage to drive us finally to a win.
We can’t keep losing forever. Can we?
This is one of those “head” vs. “heart” calls … I’m going with heart š
Price foe Evans could stiffen up the midfield – hope Savile or Rowe are not used.
Dig in – UTW
We need a win to build on then we can predict again using the same winning team..however we are still in car crash mode and our team is unsettled..
If Danny Graham scores..say..
then the tide could change ..it depends on our chances created..and of course if we can stop them scoring..
So I’ll give them a goal and us two which is a pure prediction from the heart..
Xmas present needed Dec result needed…desperately..
COYW
Would help if I put in the score
With Golbourne and Dicko out, I can’t honestly see much improving, especially against a team on a roll. But in the battle of heart over head, I think they’ll both come out on top. My head says another depressing defeat but my heart says at least we’ll get a goal. Fingers crossed anyway.
Oh dear Steve, i’m afraid I have to agree with you.
The recent worrying slide and the inexcusable second half capitulations have not been reversed despite Kenny’s tinkering with the formation. Forest and Brentford showed an alarming lack of fight and heads went down far too easily.
I was so proud to be a Wolves fan last Saturday at Griffin Park – the away support was incredible – only Sako had the guts to come over to us and gave his shirt to a fan (unlike RJ, it was gratefully received!) – the rest skulked off with their heads down as they passed us en route to the dressing room.
Tomorrow Wolves, please cut out this completely meaningless pre-kick off huddle crap (too much of it under Mick as we went down the Premier table) and just pull your fingers out and put in a 90 minute non-stop shift. Do that and first the South Bank and then the rest of the crowd will get behind you 100 per cent.
C’mon lads prove me wrong and turn the Cherries over.
UTW!
Head says we’ll get totally stuffed but as usual my heart wins & I refuse to predict a loss.
I think Stearman has to start as something needs to kick the defense up the arse now, far too many being let in! Stop playing Rowe in the back four.
Sako to put a couple of blinders in the back of the net & 3 much needed points (I hope!!!!).
Come on you Wolves!!!!!
As I keep getting my predictions wrong I will go for a Bournemouth win by the odd goal but hope I am wrong again
The rut has to stop sometime. This match seems as good as any. Graham to get off the mark.
v Rotherham : Lost 1-0 = 1 goal difference
v Huddersfield: Lost 1-3 = 2 goal difference
v Forest: Lost 0-3 = 3 goal difference
v Brentford: Lost 4-0 = 4 goal difference
v Derby: Lost 5-0 = 5 goal difference
That should then mean this match will either be a draw or there will be a 6 goal difference.
So, based on that theory I am going for:
I think Stearman & iorfa left with Ricketts and Doherty right, giving Danny that McDonald rest, if it doesn’t work we can bring him on at least.
McDonald alongside Evans and Price we need to shore up this midfield.
RVLP and Sako playing behind and feeding Graham with Dangerous Dave in reserve.
As you can see by the score prediction, I feel this one will be close so creating a good game with us waking up and starting to play again.
StuWolf…….. for Wolves news no…… cloud cukoo land
Yow gorra Dream ain’t Ya.
Come on me Babbies.
:-)))))
I think we are in big trouble.
KJ should change as much as possible, but he seems to have run out of ideas and players.
Hope Price plays but doubt he will.
A continuation of the collapse, in my opinion, especially if the ‘spine’ of the tram remains the same.
I, as I am sure many others of the same vintage, have very bad memories of Bournmouth namely a 1-0 defeat in an FA Cup match in Jan 1957. They were supposed to have had no chance, but not only broke the goal posts in front of the South Bank but had the temerity to make Billy Wright et al look like a load of numties that day. They have given me nightmares ever since.
That having been said I think the time has come for some changes at the back, may be DB should be given a rest and try Hause at left back with Ricketts & Stearman in the middle. Like many others I would like to see Price back in the side, I don’t think KJ has been fair with the guy at all.
Would love to predict a win but just can’t see it happening.
Was there too .. right behind the said goals .. big upset that day ….
I remember that game very well, I was also behind goal bloody broke my heart that day, and have done many times since but still love & support them .
No confidence at the moment, and against a team like Bournemouth I can’t see us stopping the rot.
Hope I’m proven wrong.
Impressive write up, Thomas, both here and in the Mail. Looks like some heavy editing in the latter.
“Peloton” eh? Had to ask the missus! My excuse is I’m not into cycling, but then neither is she – she’s just got a better vocabulary!
A draw would be a good result here.
We have to win sometime but not sure it will be tomorrow.
Everthing else has probably been said but not sure about change for changes sake.
Evans is a very, very good young player with a shedload of potential.
I was in the pub yesterday and swapped my glass of Banks’ best, which was half full – with a West Brom fan, who was complaining his glass was nearly half empty.
He thought he’d got the better of the deal.
I’m pretty sure there’s a moral there… but I’m damned if I know what it is.
Anyway, back to tomorrow.
I think that it is absolutely essential that we score the first goal.
If we do, the monkey is off our back, the players can relax, the crowd will be on their side and we can start to play the way we have come to know and love over the last season.
If they score first….
…I am worried we could capitulate again.
On the basis that I cannot bring myself to predict a defeat, I am banking on us getting a quick goal (possibly against the run of play) and then holding on for three points.
kills me to be negative n write that score but just cant see whats gonna be injected into the side to make the difference for a win
Forgot to mention.
Nice little article Thomas (I bet all the girls say that).
How did you get the Mail gig?
i cant honestly see wolves getting anything tomorrow due to the defense being very weak and very low on confidence after the last 4 results I think we need a big performance to beat a strong Bournemouth side but in my opinion it’ll be a Bournemouth win tomorrow
Play three in midfield, one in a holding role and give the defence some cover. Play four in midfield with one of them Jacobs, – and give Sako a remit of get your shirt sweaty, no more Mark Kennedy impersonations, work your socks off and everybody get stuck in. Blood sweat and no tears or fears of a defeat. This is a sleepy sea side town with a geriatric population with gates of only 10k on a good week. Shows how shite this division really is. Bring on van Perra with 30 minutes to go and run them ragged, we could even get near to Clive`s prediction if it works.
sorry but with Jacketts eratic team selection and tactics i carnt see any other result. jacobbs is a must and Stearman never thought id say that if we are going to have any hope of getting a result.
I think this could be a shock result – I’m going for a win.
It can’t go on forever. Price should start. I predict we’ll go 1 0 down, then a Clarke hat trick in the last 20 minutes.
The rot continues
Price, Evans midfield? We’ve tried nearly all the others at this stage. As far as no goals at all on this bad run, you reap what you sow.
Why has my Avatar disappeared?
And why, has it reappeared again, as if by magic?
Have you been on the J W’s my friend?
Bournemouth being my home town for 30 odd years, I still keep an eye on how they are performing, and I can tell you they have a seriously good team which plays fast attacking football.
Two pacy strikers in Callum Wilson and Tokelo Rantie(both injured in a bruising encounter with Mick McCartney’s Ipswich) may be missing, but they still have plenty of threat up front.
For me, we’ve lost our confidence and passion and I don’t see us turning things round just yet.
If Bournemouth have scouted us properly through November, they will find no danger man amongst our team. Sako to run riot with a hat trick
Have always predicted positively this year, I’d be very pleased with a point to start a revival, COYW
Probably a case of my heart ruling my head but I’m going for a hard fought win. Either way, I’m coming up for this one.
With their confidence high, ours low and no Dicko, I can’t see us getting anything out of this one.
Agree with earlier comments from DOOGooder…..an early goal for us is imperative and could have a huge bearing on the game.
If we get one I fancy the win.
If they do, then recent history could repeat.
Hoping for the former.
more of the same methinks.
Bournemouth are unbeaten in 10 we have won 1 of our last 5 home games. It does not look good on paper. However the reason we all love football so much is that it is so unpredictable.
Watching football these days I often wonder if teams, including Wolves, pass the ball just too much. Sometimes I get dizzy watching matches – pass forward – pass sideways – pass back – pass along the back line – pass back to the keeper – roll out to a defender – and so on. Penetration is something that is lacking in our Wolves team. We had a good spine to the team earlier this season – Ikeme – Batth – McDonald – Diko. Unfortunately one part of the spine is injured resulting in a total collapse backwards with the exception of Ikeme. Without him some of the results would have been even more embarrassing.
With Danny Graham now occupying the front spot we have, I believe, a decent striker. Problem is if you do not supply the ammunition there won’t be any shots fired. This has been a big problem lately. I was surprised, and a little concerned, when Dave Edwards said he thought that VLP was ‘excellent’ against Brentford. Jebus Dave he was as shite as the rest of the team. There is no doubt that VLP has a lot of potential. It’s not easy moving to a new club, especially when it’s in another country. Some people take time to adjust, I think VLP will need time to show what a good player he can be.
I expect the team to be as Thomas has it, with the exception of Edwards instead of Jacobs. Though I would like to see Jacobs get some footie time.
So, how will it all end? In tears or in celebration?
Every time Wolves take the pitch I expect, no demand, them to win. Even with the recent setbacks I still think we can stay in this division, mid table is fine, mid table is good.
Out of darkness cometh Light – been a bit dark lately, time for some light to shine through..
Onwards & Upwards
š
I am going for a Sako solo and a clean sheet, Maybe I need morle therapy, but I thnk we’ll just scrape home. I would have the same team as Thomas, but either Edwards or Price instead of Evans. Won’t be there, sadly, but should be back soon.
Welcome back Jerryd, hope it was a resounding success.
Stu
2-1 win to us, more in hope than expectation. If we lose this one, and we probably will in spite of my win prediction, then Kenny’s fate may hang in the balance. So far Kenny has no response or clue to counteract the change in strategy adopted by opposing teams. (The change in strategy is the simple ruse of properly challenging us rather than sitting back and watching us play our former pretty passing game!). Sussed, rumbled, exposed, found out?
Let’s be honest, if the roles were reversed and it was Wolves with a lengthy unbeaten run, playing a team with a series of awful results,no confidence and no defence……… we would bloody lose!
On this hopeless, desperately flimsy theory I hope for a change of fortune.I am writing this in the village pub though!
DON’T PANIC……too much.
Our biggest issue is that we have been rumbled. As the new boys on the block up from Div 1 we came in under the radar for the first part of the season. Teams have now worked out that McDonald is a busted flush if you press him when he has the ball and he is Wolves sole creative player in the middle of the park. This leaves us with 2 outcomes:
1) we give the ball away in dangerous positions
2) we end up hoofing it
Brentford will get found out soon too I suspect.
So, I would leave KMac out until we can work out a way of combating teams who put him under pressure.
What I will say though is that if I were in the Bournemouth camp I would be making a priority of turning the home supporters against their team. We cannot allow this to happen and have to get behind whichever team KJ puts out especially in the early stages if it isn’t going our way. I fancy we will get beaten but let’s make sure we don’t add to the woes by failing to get behind the team.
Time to stop the rot then back to winning ways.
I really can’t see where the goals will come from tomorrow, last weeks performance going forward was absolutely dire. However a Jacobs cracker is a good option and I’d back Price to put in a good shift. Reality though is neither start and we won’t score. Put me down as a miserable old bugger again.
Can’t see a light at the end of the tunnel yet !!!
Johnny
Proof that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Onwards & Upwards
Got to look on the bright side we’ve got to get back to winning ways or promotion will be harder to get COYW
I so want to be optimistic and go for a win but I just can’t see it at the mo.
Time to turn things around!!!
I was at the 1957 match that Tipton Exile mentioned and have been wary of Bournemouth ever since. Even so, all things have to come to an end so I’m going for a win.
For a photo of the 1957 carnage see
http://www.wolvesheroes.com/2010/07/25/a-foot-in-both-camps/
Another loss I’m afraid
Sako!!!!!!!! It can’t go on forever, we’ll win tomorrow.
My heart is saying we could scrape a draw, but my head is telling me the misery continues.
Get Jacobs and price back in the team please Kenny.
Keep it tight and the tide will turn. C’mon U Wolves
It’s just as hard to predict the team as it is the result at the moment which is probably where the problems start. Agree with Doog in that the first goal is crucial but confidence is so low I can’t see it happening.
We only seem able to play one system and with key personnel injured or out of form we’ll struggle to create enough chances.
Hope I’m wrong because we need the points.
I won’t predict a Wolves defeat. Did our sh*t streak commence with Rowe getting selected? He really isn’t inspiring, an off-the-pace, all-round crap player and I worry that Jackett will persist with using him similar to the way Merlin kept picking Ward regardless of his ineptitude.
I just see darkness,…no prospect of light
Frustrating last month. Things get bettercc?hpt
No way we could win on recent form. I hope KJ will conjure up some new tactics and introduce one or two new faces to start the match and leave it to our team to show their mettle. AFC unbeaten run must end soon.
I would like to see Price, Jacobs and RvLP start.
We ‘re going to be up against it tomorrow. Bournemouth have dropped 14 points from leading positions. Theyāve scored first in 15/19 games this season. so patience could key .
I like the first few comments concerning players who have not lost confidence and playing them .That makes perfect sense to me.Sooner or later things will change.Lets hope it’s this week.
With both Golbourne and Dicko out I can’t see our form suddenly sparking into life, but the great thing about this game we love is it’s so unpredictable. So hoping for a pleasant surprise.
With both Golbourne and Dicko still out I can’t see our form suddenly sparking into life, but the great thing about this game we love is it’s so unpredictable. So hoping for a pleasant surprise.
I think its going to get worse before it gets better, will be very happy if I’m wrong of course though.
Without the pace of dicko again we will struggle I just can’t see how we can beat an inform side while we are playing with so little confidence have to predict a loss
Lose this game and I’m afraid that Jacket will not last much longer. Sorry to be a downer but if you can’t stop the flood after two or three games, it’s not going to improve.
Jackett has been quoted in the E&S saying we have been unlucky in the transfer market. If there is one statement that has chilled me to the bone and started to make me think KJ has actually lost the objectivity he needs to steer us out of this slump, it is that. In my mind it removes the question as to whether he is his own man or simply M&M’s stooge. I never expected more than mid table this season but i think a heavy defeat to Bournemouth today and I can only see things ending one way for KJ – it’ll simply be a question of time. Very sad because with the momentum we had at the end of last season, once again we had a golden opportunity to really build something and once again we’ve been betrayed by M&M. All in it together Jez and Steve? When times get tough, tough people get going? MY ARSE !
December fresh start – thank god November is finished.
We are not playing as a team. There seems to be no plan B. So a win will have to come from some flash of individual brilliance or a Bournemouth mistake.
This is park the bus time … FOR US.
I’m sure Jackett will be playing the NOT LOSE approach so for me I’m going for an ugly, VERY UGLY,….1-0 to me babbies.
I’d like to add “what gobshite I’ve just read from Jackett about our Striker recruitment .. UNLUCKY …who the fecks he kidding ..NOT ME.”
Says a lot about the Thelwell Recruitment blueprint if ultimately it comes down to luck. Come on man take responsibility for your cock ups .. and waste of resource .. !!!
I think again a narrow defeat, we have no confidence at the moment, and the opposition will take full advantage of this.
If they score first, if will be tough as the crowd will get restless, and the heads will drop.
I don’t want to state the obvious but we will desperately need the first goal, if we do get it, we might have a chance.
I hate losing it hurts every time but we ain’t just been losing matches, we’ve had our arses well and truly wupped, so please go down fighting, couldn’t stand another 3, 4 or 5 nil home defeat.
I’ll be happy as pig in shit if we win, come on Wolves for god sake fight today, and Jacket please don’t play Clarke.
Twixfix I agree it seems KJ is the back seat in buying statagy with what he has had he must be…eg.Sagbo Clarke Rowe..it would be nice that he puts his hands up.. surely they must be tied..
He has a almost shrug of the shoulders interveiw style …ie not my fault…
Steve, Twixfix,
Definitely with you on the Jackett statement, what a crock of shite to spew out, now he’s saying Wilson is a class player. Unlucky my rectal passage, he’s obviously a party man towing the line like those two at the top. My heart sank when I read his guff.
Then we have Edwards, Sako, Doherty and this time Grahampost defeat reading out the official script about being sorry for the fans and we must go bacl to basics, well that sounds familiar (Kenny) and to be feckin honest quite boring now, whoever the PR man he should have his script rammed PR, (Post Rectal)
Sorry guys, just not convinced.
McDonald Price & Evans please, let’s stop the rot and dam up that channel where teams are pouring through.
Suicidal from Pendeford.
:-(((((
Sloping shoulders springs to mind .. they all take the praise when it’s going well … BUT it’s someone elses fault when it goes pink tongue.
For no apparent reason.
Really need a win but think we’ll stop the losing streek
More tinkering, some improvement, but not enough against one of the division’s stronger teams. Predicted with heavy heart.
Got to get Price back in to free up McDonald. Just hoping for a goal.
KJ is the best, most articulate and intelligent “head coach” we’ve had for quite a while. He has always said that this is a very difficult league, and he’s been proved correct. There are plenty of ups and downs still to come for all teams. Regretfully I’m going for another loss this week, Bournemouth are on the top of their game at the moment, but their wobble will come. Hope beyond hope I’m wrong.
It’s feeling like we’re going to need more than our fair share of luck to turn this dreadful run around. Cal Wilson hopefully being out would be a good start as we all know how that would play out.
Worried about how the crowd will react to any kind of early set back in this one. Recent results would suggest we need to take our chances early on as we tend to fade alarmingly in the final half hour.
Certainly can’t see a clean sheet, but we can’t keep on loosing forever. Can we?
Staying logical. Staying in the doldrums. Form and state of mind dictate defeat. I only hope it’s a fighting loss to build on for next week.
I know where the Red Light area is in Bournemouth.
I also know where it is in All Saints.
Haven’t got a clue what that has to do with our current plight. Both should give us pleasure.
I don’t know how much one costs, or whether you get value for money……….
Time for this team to man up. Price for a recall ricketts @ RB Jacobs in the hole and pace on the wings please
0 from a possible 18. How much longer is this going on for FFS?
Actually that wasn’t as bad as it seems…
Not at all, we were the better team until the sending off – poor display from ref
Best theyv’e played all season without a doubt, Dirty Ref spoilt a great contest, the Bournemouth fans were stunned to silence. When your luck is down ot’s down.
My opinion and mine alone, RVLP deserved to walk from my viewpoint, turned the game with a moment of stupidity,
He was playing so well up until that point.
Hard lesson learnt. But, someone’s now tirned the light on at the end of the tunnel. Dominic Ifora outstanding debut.
š
Onwards & Upwards from here on in.
Totally agree, no way were Bournemouth better than us today. The ref was wrong RVLP should not have beeen sent off for going for a 50-50 ball.
The Doherty one was out of order as well, they had committed as bad fouls & got away with it.
Also impresssed with Iorfa & the side we put out, RVLP added the pace we lack without Dicko, and we looked better in defence & attack.
Hopefully the two red cards will be repealed & the two players can rightfully take their places in the next game.
We desperately need a win now, but a feeling of unjustice is the overiding one I take away from this game.
Not usaually given to joining in the booing at referees I did today, that guy was appalling.
I think we have a Cherry picker in the camp………..
Keep calm and hope for 8 more wins
Morning all, I heard Dominic made a few runs to support and create attacks aswell as defended well… Fair play to him for taking it upon himself to show how a debut should be done.
In addition, I understand VLP was having a cracker of a game right up to the sending off… whether it was the correct decision will be be a matter of contentious opinion and we will see what the FA’s decision is in due course.
Back to being positive though, even after a loss…. Good to read the comments of support.
With the likes of Doherty and now Iorfa that like to get forward, it will be an interesting time “when” Goldy gets back as another that likes to support the attack rather than wait for the ball to come back in to defend. It will feel like a team of forwards…
The goals against column should start to ease once the pressure is taken off them with all the forward running, and I look forward to see how Kenny’s team respond with the renewed vigour, that has been so evidently missing of late.
This is a result that can be overlooked in the big scheme of things as at least we competed and the turn of events forced this result, whereas with the previous results there was no excuse for the capitulations.
Going back to Iorfa, StuWolf has been flying his flag for what seems an eternity and now has his wish… I did suggest in a my last post or the one before for Kenny to start with the kids as we have nothing to lose as we were losing anyway… so I got my wish!…
It’s just a shame that the result was the by-product of either poor refereeing or a little bit too much confidence / exuberance shown from a young passionate player… either way it’s done now… we move on and see what the next game brings.
Shrewswolf
Thanks for the vote, he certainly had a stormer to lay claim to a run in the first team.
Anyone listening/reading should take note of Ibrihim Keita and Connor Hunte
Ibrihim Keita tall athletic goalscoring forward.
Connor, tall lean Kevin McDonald mark two.
Now that Kenny has seen the impact from Iorfa ( and it was immediate) then he should blood these lads. Anyone of the 20000 crowd think Iorfa was too young or immature, (I don’t think so) bring em on give them a go, stop the rot, when Golbourne is FULLY fit then bring him back, when Dicko is 100% nobody can live with him so bring him back. But give these guys a chance Please!, they are more than a match for our first team (Leon, Evans, Bhatt or Ricketts)
I’m being text by my mates who have watched the highlights and the concensus is, the Ref was wrong, so maybe we might get one or even both cards resinded. If we start with the same team next week at Wednesday then I for one will be a happy teddy indeed.
Gutted that ref is a complete wanker. I think tho we could have turned a corner, just got a feeling that we might just start getting a few results. Hope we try and get both reds rescinded, both were yellows at most.
