I’ve been sitting on the idea for months, but today the Wolves Blog Postcard has finally begun it’s world tour.

We’re sending a giant (well, A4) postcard to Wolves Blog readers dotted around the globe.
The idea is that each recipient signs, dates and takes a picture of themselves with the postcard before sending it on to the next person.
At each stop along the way, I’m hoping get a guest post about what it’s like supporting the club from afar and some of the unique experiences people have had.
We’ll be tracking the post card’s progress with a map as it (hopefully) reaches all corners of the world.
According to the tracking software I use to see where our visits are coming from, we’ve been viewed in 97 different countries in the last month alone:

If you’d be interested in receiving the post card, I’d be absolutely thrilled to hear from you. Simply send me an email or use the contact form to get in touch. All I need is an address.
Obviously, the more people involved, the more successful it will be.
Oh, and in case you’re wondering, first stop – Houston, Texas.
Up The Wolves.

Brilliant idea. Looking forward to the posts!
Can you post me the card first?! I know we’re only 1 mile apart but if we’re doing it properly?!! (I’ll pop round and grab it later mate)
Apparently we were in the Team Talk site’s ‘recommended’ list the other week too. World domination looms!
I remember the days when I’d get a semi-erection over a 20-comment blog. Now look….A postcard going around the world!
Can we get Dazza from Brisbane to sign it? Dazza…Are you there?!
Already in the post to Houston mate sorry.
Clive can send it back to you though and you can send it on to Hong Kong 🙂
I should probably have said in the blog post that people in the UK are more than welcome to join in.
The idea is to get it zigzagging across the world so if it returns to Blighty at different stages, that’s cool.
p.s. I second the motion for Dazza to speak up.
Hong Kong next stop? OK, but can Hongkong Post deal with an A4-size card without bending it? I know where my money is on that question!
PS. Good to see that people in Brazil are interested in Wolves. There’s hope for us yet.
Thomas,
Brilliant idea mate. I had my Steve Bull statue sent all over the place when I was serving in the Army and had e-mails sent to me showing me where he was (he even was taken to the filfth and was wearing one of their scarves!!!!!). He went to Iraq, Bosnia, Cyprus and loads of other places too. I have left the Army now and live at: [REMOVED]. It would be cool to get the postcard in time with instruction on who to send it to next. Regards. FOWB
Hiya Steve. Thanks for coming back. Very cool about your Bully statue. That’s exactly the sort of fun I’m hoping we’ll have with the post card. I’ve removed your address from the site just as a precaution, but have added it to the list. Will contact you when you’re next, along with instructions of who to send it on to.
Thanks Thomas – especially about removing my address (rather foolish of me lol). I look forward to being part of this venture – cool idea mate. UTW
looking forward to recieving the card
Looking forward to the postcard , good idea !
Afternoon Thomas.
I think that you have come up with a thimply thpiffing idea!
I’d love to take part, I’ll send you my address.
I also see from the picture that, apart from looking worryingly young – how can you have such grown up views about football? – you’ve got exactly the same iMac as me.
They’re great machines aren’t they.
Ben talks about semi-erections over blogs but I got rather more than that the first time I fired up my 27 incher!
A bit of a mistake sending the card to Clive first though, you know he’ll hold it to ransom until he gets his scarf.
And another thing.
A very nicely art directed photo.
But if your studio is anything like mine there are several piles of rubbish behind the camera that normally sit on your desk.
Also, why isn’t your desk top picture a view of the Mol?
Hiya mate.
Thanks for taking part. I’ve sent you an email.
I’ve not long invested in a Macbook pro with a Thunderbolt display. Used to just have an iMac but have treated myself to an upgrade. And yes, they are the best computers you can buy in my opinion, although I’m not sure the price tag is fully justified.
I keep my office pretty tidy (neat freak) but yes, there are a few documents off-cam 🙂
Clive will be glad to know that the scarf was posted along with the post card, so he should receive them both in the coming days (how long does international delivery take?!).
Should be 14 days or so mate! 🙂
Great idea, something to bring a smile to the face at the moment. Nice to see how many more of us in NYC . Might start a wolves blog supporters club!!!
can i make a suggestion ? can you staple moxey on the front before you post it? then hopefully it will get lost in the post…
It would cost a fortune that. Would weigh 2 tonne!
bloody hell wpuld need more stamps than paper……….id take another mortgage out to pay it though!!
If the scarf and postcard arrive by Saturday, it will get a double whammy as me and Mrs ClivefromHouston have been invited to the house of Houston Lobo for barbie and boozie.
We can all go ooh and aaah and take stoopid pix of all of us wearing the mythical scarf.
And, Mr DOOGooder, greasel is the only foul creature on earth who would hold a postcard to ransom.
I, on the other hand, will feel proud and even priveleged ( spellin’? ) to be the first to receive said Blogcard.
So there.
And bollocks.
My daughter is flying to Houston this weekend ,so you wont be the only Wolves fan there.Mind she never bothers sending any postcards.
Indeed – Clive says “sod the postcard, all I want is the scarf! Fowb” ;o)
Hopefully the second stop is Rosenberg, Tx. and we’ll do some photos. Given it’s the holidays over here, I may get down and write that long overdue blog post related to the subject of overseas support to coincide with it.
Thomas/Ben – this is a great initiative and surely something the club will embrace? A super bit of PR for both your blog and the club. Do you think they’ll get onboard with some coverage? I’m sure it’s worth a tweet to Tim Nash and Bill Howell too, to get something in print.
Send to Gibraltar! :D,
Great idea btw Thomas!
Although I’m a Londoner based, am happy to participate.
Great idea…..
DIdn’t know you were from London, Robin!
Great idea guys, be interesting to hear from the guys all around the world and why.how they support the mighty Wolves 🙂
On a more mundane note, I see that Hamill has been found guilty of the assault on those two female paramedics.
Yet another example of a potentially very good footballer pissing away his God given talent.
I should think that if Huddersfield are paying his wages they will want to pack him off back to the Molineux ASAP.
Such a shame – I had really high hopes of him when MM signed him.
Apparently, Hamill has got to do 150 hours of unpaid work.
If Moxey’s on the ball he’ll get him back so he can put him to work in the new Museum.
He’ll be sittin’ on his arse all day then, coz no one in their right mind will pay 7 quid to see what we haven’t won in the past thirty years.
Then again, do Wolves fans and right mind ever go together??
So Di Matteo is on the market…again.
Wouldnt mind a few quid on Morgan doing an Abramovich with SS.
Morgan will think twice about doing an Abramovich – it’ll probably involve a payoff!
And ambition…even if it is misguided!
Great idea…will send my address by email…but make sure the post card gets to Scotland!!!! North of the tree line is technically another country you know!!!!!
As for Hamills 150 hours unpaid work…well it makes a change from his rather overpaid contribution!
Did anyone else see that Michael Branch had been arrested…for drug dealing?
Yeah, and greasel’s wife was arrested when she was pregnant….for dope carrying!
Hi Thomas great idea the blogcard, but can you attach a petition to it so we can all sign it and forward it with a sprig of holly to Steve Morgan.
UTW
some people get caught with dope up their arse.. in our case hes an arse acting like a dope!

Happy Thanksgiving

A very happy Thanksgiving Day to all our readers, Wolves fans or not.
Let’s all be thankful for many things, not least that we all have the freedom to say what we want on this blog and anywhere else, unlike many, many persecuted people on this planet.
We disagree and argue about football, but in the grand scheme of things, football is low down on the scale of priorities.
Whatever your religious preference, or not, thank him. or her, for our blessings, and have a wonderful day.
The Clive
Cheers mate!
And the same to you and yours.
Here’s to many more interesting (if mostly grumpy) discussions.
Best wishes from Mr & Mrs DOOGooder.
Wow nice sentiment Clive , just headin to my cousins for a nice plate of turkey. Hope all you and yours have a nice nosh up and a few bevvies today , and tomorrow and Saturday and sunday……….
it scares my children when youre nice!!
You are allowed to have children?
Now thats scary!!!
my daughter wopuld agree with you on that one clive!! sometimes i think she acts more like the parent..rock and roll!!
It’s initiatives like this, along with the real, honest opinions which are given in match write-ups (along with the quality of writing which is 100% better than the Express and Star) which really makes this site the best Wolves site there is.
We know that you put in a lot of work to give us previews and write-ups for every game as well as doing your ad hoc opinion posts and worldwide postcards.
It really is appreciated and long Wolves Blog continue.
long may Wolves Blog continue*
