14 challenges remain but only one side can now realistically prevent Wolves from an immediate return to the Championship.

That team is Wolverhampton Wanderers.
He’d never admit it but I bet Kenny Jackett loses more sleep over injuries, suspensions and old fashioned bad luck than he does over Walsall, Rotherham and Leyton Orient.
Who could blame him?
His players proved emphatically yet again yesterday that they’re too good for anything League One can offer up.
Consecutive victory number seven looked like being a contest for nearly an hour, as Wolves poked and probed without infiltrating a workmanlike Port Vale stockade.
During the same period, consecutive cleansheet number five looked in peril after Jack Price’s uncharacteristic giveaway, only for Tom Pope to charitably blaze over.
But after Bakary Sako shaked and shimmied his way into a yard of space and saw a deflected shot loop over Chris Neal, the home side could once more engage cruise control.
Nouha Dicko filled his boots as tired legs opened up spaces – the second of his goals showcasing the raw pace, power and skill he has in refreshing abundance.
The only blemish of course being his failed hat-trick attempt from the penalty spot, which we hopefully won’t have to reflect on should goal difference become a promotion-defining statistic.
On the subject of goals scored, three should have again been five or six. Ricketts hit the bar, Dicko was twice hesitant on the rebound and on countless occasions the final ball wasn’t quite measured correctly.
But it’s almost impossible to envisage the net won’t continue to bulge with regularity as all over the pitch gold-shirted players commit their man, gallop into space and ask uncomfortable questions of the opposition.
Consistency breads success and it’s been pleasing to see Wolves maintain such high performance levels for well over two months, particularly at home where the journey seldom runs smooth.
It’s a credit to management and players that where once Molineux hoped, now Molineux expects.
But with nine of the remaining battles to be hosted elsewhere, it will be what this ever-improving Wolves side can do away from Molineux that could ultimately define their destiny.
It’s a destiny though, which is firmly their own.

Dicko’s second goal was a real beauty – could watch it all day!
This is absolutely brilliant though – what a wonderful change to have a decent team to support!
You do get the feeling there’s lots more to come from the club as a whole. We know it’s only the 3rd division but a team can only play what’s put in front of them. The Management have taken plenty of flak over the last 3 years so in my view it’s only fair to give credit where it’s due ; so Mr Morgan,Mr Moxey et al,take a bow.Where you got it so,so wrong previously, you really could not have got it much better than hiring KJ.What’s the old adage ? ‘Cometh the hour, cometh the man’.Onwards and upwards.
Another thoroughly enjoyable afternoon at the Mol. After the highs of last week and the risks of a reaction to that, I did think a lot of the football didn`t quite come off in the first half. Maybe credit due to the opposition for pressing very high up the pitch, working very hard and being very physical at the same time. However after Sako`s sublime deflection, we went through the gears and scored two crackers – absolutely brilliant.
The football is a joy to watch at the moment, every player particularly in the second half were superb, and I can`t wait for the game next week, just hope I can find where I`ve put the ticket………..
I predicted 4-0 and I think that someone nobbled Dicko (there’s a pun there somewhere) to miss the penalty and prevent me picking up maximum points.
Perhaps you could look into it Thomas.
That apart, I really couldn’t be happier.
Great result.
Great to be top of the league.
Great to be a Wolves fan!
Yep i predicted 4-0 too with goals by Sako and Dicko to boot. Still happy with the result.
Wolves continue to make me proud, all the way from Australia!
I agree with Mark Davies (see above) this was not one of our best performances of the last few weeks, first half we seemed a little less focused than previous games.
BUT, and as you see it’s a big but. If that’s all we have to worry about at this stage in the season and we can still win 3-0 how good is it to be a Wolves fan at the moment.
40 years to the day I was at Wembley, right at this moment I feel as happy as I did on that day.
Take the plaudits KJ you deserve it.
Although 6 of the next 8 are away, it’s hard to see how anyone can stop us on this evidence. Yet another comfortable win. Ikeme, when called on, Golbourne, Price, error aside, Sako and Dicko all excellent.
Yes, defo ours to lose now.
When speaking to friends who support other teams as I live far from Wolverhampton now, they all say we are rebuilding quietly ” under the radar ” as they put it which from an outside point of view is how it seems. This I think is a testament to the job KJ is doing and a lesson in what you do after such a fall from grace as ours. I know greater tests are to come but it is a good time again to support the team you love. Let’s hope this gradual rise is based on stronger foundations than the MM era, it certainly feels that way.
Yeah, Mossy knows what he’s talking about when it comes to football, eh Mickey?
My fault Dicko missed the pen as I predicted he would score 2 goals 🙂
I was a little concerned following the match in the park with my grandsons but my fears were soon put to rest in the second half. Dicko’s 2nd goal was just brilliant, such strength and skill, he really looks like a very decent player.
My only slight concern is Preston, who seem to be hitting form at just the right time. I feel it is all going to be close but I do expect us to gain automatic promotion.
Its all been going so well that I suspect a lot of us have been waiting for the inevitable ‘blip’ – this is Wolves, after all. There is some suggestion that the prolonged series of away matches coming up might provide that downturn in fortunes.
However, we’ve only lost twice on the road this season, had the longest-running unbeaten away record in this Division at the start of the season and have just walloped a team with a 19 match unbeaten run on their own patch.
So count me amongst the optimists…
Wonderful Wonderful Wolves…so pleased for Kenny Jacket…He gelled a team which will get us back into the Championship. Come on you Wolves…..Greetings from Malta
Great result and lets keep them coming. Jacket wasn’t my first choice but he’s done an outstanding job with rebuilding this team and deserves all the credit.
Lets keep it going and make the automatic places ours!
UTW!
Great result, as someone has mentioned 6 out of the next 8 games are away but I’m not to concerned because with the support we have and take to away games it will almost be like play at home especially at MK Done, no more only worry is if one of the key players like McDonald gets injured but I’m hoping that we had our full quoter of bad luck in the last couple of years so I hope the gods for once in a long time are smiling on us.
Well done to KJ, players Kevin Gallon, coaches.
Not much to say when one is pleased as punch! Great performnce, great result, keep it up, and more of the same! Looks like Jackett’s finally found his winning formula!
Let’s win this thing!
Go Wolves!!!
Agree with everything said on here…………………..except plaudits for greasel and bob the builder.
Mark my words, come the end of the season when we gain promotion, that fat bastard will be crowing all day about his brilliance in finding all the “cheap” gems KJ has produced.
I wonder how many targets KJ has had rejected by the fat controller over the past few months.
Proof will be in the puddin’ when the summer rolls around, we are looking to strengthen and improve the squad for the Championship challenge, and greasel starts spouting his usual garbage about the squad is strong enough, was good enough to get promotion from the Third Division, blah, blah, blah.
The team is doing amazingly well despite greasel not because of him.
All the praise should be directed towards the team, Kenny Jackett, his training staff and Thelwell.
They are the ones doing the business week in week out.
As to the match.
Isnt it wonderful to enjoy a Wolves game, not wondering if we will score, and shredding nerves and fingernails at every opposition foray into our half, but thinking, how many will we get this week, and watching those around us loose their way!!
And, lest we forget to spare some sympathy for our low brain celled neighbours, If results go their way this weekend, they could find themselves in the bottom three without having kicked a ball in anger!!
Happy Days!!
FOwb
Agree totally Clive re Greasel and Bob the Builder, don’t trust them an inch.
On the other hand wonderful, once more, to be a Wolves supporter.
Well done to the whole team and no reason why we shouldn’t break some records on the way to automatic promotion…
I agree with Clive, a leopard does not change his spots, maybe moxey has learned his lesson maybe not. I suspect he was given a right rollicking over the past cple of years debacles and is perhaps leaving football men to get on with it. Maybe. Let us not forget he has been at the club for waht 13 years and where are we?? If we go up and I beleive we will, it will be interesting to see what ambition there is. I am not a peesimist but I am not expecting Moxey or Morgan will be in any hurry to make a run at promotion to the premiership. Look for solid progress but i think the prem is to rare an atmosphere for them. Wolves till I die, but i think the current owners ambition is to be a top half Championship team for a few years. Hope i am wrong.
Now you can all yell at me. 🙂
Well done everyone, I do love this team. Forgive me for being a bit concerned (It happens when you supported Wolves for 60 years). But as the old saying goes we have not won anything yet, the hard work is still in front of us, but the thing is we totally control our own destiny. We do not and must not worry about others just keep taking points. Games in hand mean little until won. Steady hand on the whell KJ, and a job well done. I am totally confident but will restrain myself until its in the bag.
Great display with some excellent football this looks a dam good side in the making, well done K J the true score line should have been 5- 0 come on you missing fans this is great to watch. keep it up lads.
Clive, just when i’m beginning to smile again dow PISS ON MY CHIPS MATE. L O L
Not pissing on anyone’s chips, just pointing out that we have a free flowing, winning, wonderful football team, and it has fuck all to do with greasel!!!
13 years Moxey has been CE apart from winning the championship Moxey has over scene the worst period since the Bhatti brothers, he puts them to shame when it comes to penny pinching. No Clive I wouldn’t trust the pair of them to tell me the time.
If we go up ( im not tempting fate by saying when ) we will see how ambitious Bob the Builder really is about getting back in to Premier because by rights there should still be £25 to £30 million still in the bank from sale of Fletcher, the lad who went to West Ham carnt think of his name and Premier League parachute payments . Because Jackett has spent a pitence on players and in a way I think that might work against him in the long run in that M and M will expect him to unearth more gems on a shoe string budget. The trouble is when panning for gold ( pardon the pun ) most the time you end up with shale only now and then do you come across a nugget.
No dout Moxey will come up with so bull shit like its all gone on the Academey and grass seed.
I couldn’t agree more Clive, I’ve not given the fat twat a thought, i’m just enjoying the football. and I’ve not done that for while.
What an awesome day out, thanks to Thomas and his dad for taking me under their wings!
So back to China today for me today finally, and although I pleased to be returning to life in my alternative dimensio, I’m somewhat sad not to be able to continue to see the men in gold/orange steamroller their way to the League 1 title. And you know, at the start of the season I’d have been pleased with promotion in any way, but now I really think that we ought to be winning it and collecting silverware which is a testament to Kenny’s ability to put together a team playing proper football, not Big Mick’s agricultural nonsense.
I’ll be following from afar, and let’s bring on the Championship!
Another fantastic performance by the lads,a bit of a slow start but it all came right in the end.
Gonna get a bit harder now especially with all these games coming fast and furious, but I think the team will pull through.
Leon fit next week, dunno when he’s gonna a game the way we’re playing, but a great asset to have on the bench.UTW…
KJ has finally found his best team and formation playing 4-2-3-1. The whole team were excellent but MacDonald was outstanding again. Definately mom, he is the one player we would struggle to replace. Thought Price had another strong game despite the odd careless ball.
The only sour point were the behaviour of some of the Port Vale ‘fans’. We were sitting 6 rows back in the SB upper tier and we were being pelted with coins beer not to mention a lighter! I can’t believe there were only 5 arrests. There were loads of police and stewards. Why can’t they identify there mindless idiots? A lot were not even watching the game 2nd half.
Nevertheless really enjoyed the game and the passing game KJ is encouraging. Might be a bit tougher on Saturday though.
Every team needs a rocky steady eddie. That for us is Kevin McDonald, a Rock steady every game. I remember a Sheffield fan writing to the Express & Star and stating, “we had stolen a great asset from them ” the man is excellent a brilliant move by Kenny.
It was a game of two halves but only one result looked likely. This was great entertainment. Kenny has not just put together a team that wins. This team plays the passing game and they play as a team. The passing across the box adds excitement and Price’s misplaced pass did provide Port Vale with their one real chance but papal infallibility proved to be a myth as Pope’s shot sailed heavenwards into the celestial south bank. It was all Wolves in the second half. Even at 3 0 Kenny was still pacing the area in front of the dugout. This is not a manager who is going put his feet up until the whistle blows and the certainties are all mathematical. On a more serious note what is this biblical prophet/Amish beard look that is spreading through the team? It’s like watching a Trevor Hockey tribute team
Real Wolves are hairy. Scary !
Join the fun and grow one like Clive and myself.
Yeah, sez you!
Where is the picture to back up your bold words??!!
Yeah, he’s probably bald not bold.
Steve, ha ha! I still have a full head of hair. Eye, eye nod and blink!
Sadly I don’t mate. I am 56 now and lost my head of hair at the young age of 27!!!
Unforutnately I am also not bold!!!
Nice pic Buddy, you remind me of a wereWOLF though!
UTW/FOWB
Thanks for the compliment. You should see the hairy ears !
Clive, it’s on the way but is so ugly “Gravatar” can’t cope with it at the moment !
All ugly things come to him who wait.
Amazing what can be done with photoshop!!
Really pleased with the way KJ is slowly building a really good footballing side. Strong at the back, hard working skillful mid field, good fast attacking strikers, who even track back when needed.
All the dead wood has gone, Wolves fans and the players are all singing from the same hymn sheet, all thanks to Kenny Jacket, who may I say wasn’t who I wanted at the club.
But I will eat humble pie, and admit he has proven me wrong.
For anyone who is interested you can watch the whole 1974 league Cup final here.

Second half here

I wasn’t there, went to the 1980 final tho, and the 87 sherpa.
Watching that 74 final bought a tear to my eyes, that’s why we are all proud to be a Wolves fan.
Let’s hope those days come back, anyone who hasn’t ever watched that 74 final, please do, it brings a lump to your throat.
Thanks for posting these links. I just clicked on them from my mobile and piping it to my chromecast, watching the game on my big screen. Quality is really good too. I love it when technology just works!
Thanks dude!

Kenny Jacket had a plan and stuck to it from the get-go. 4-2-3-1 . Problem at RB – Ricketts (tick). problem at LB – Goulbourne (tick) . Creative Midfielder – MacDonald (tick). Wide Midfielders who can score – Jacobs & Henry (tick) . Dynamic Striker who can score – Dicko (tick).
Restore confidence in players – Stearman, Price, Sako (tick). Retain the Best- Batth & Ikeme (tick). Remove the deadwood – too many to list (tick). Get everyone on board with the way I want to play – It took a few months (tick). Let the players enjoy how they play (tick). Let the fans enjoy how they play (tick). Win promotion well hopefully he can tick this one off as well.
I hope all Wolves supporters are as hopefull as I am
Why is everyone having a go at Mick? Did you fucking morons knock him when he did exactly what KJ has done-build a team from scraps left after twaddle left us, big difference being he rebuilt the team and got us promoted to the PREMIERSHIP! Micks gone, he deserves more than being insulted by backstabbing cretinous has bins who are not good enough to walk on the same street.
Read on KJ this is what awaits you!
and some of you lot have the audacity to call yourselves Wolves fans yet all you can do is insult past and present servants of the club – you are pathetic.
John, our consistent venomous, foul-mouthed abuse of other bloggers is tiresome and extremely unwelcome.
Personally, i think you are a complete idiot.
That’s only my opinion and, of course, you are entitled to your stupid opininion as well.
What Thomas has stated on many occasions though, is that he will not accept comments accusing bloggers of not being real Wolves fans.
So please stick to the rules or go elsewhere to spread your venom.
Anyway,I’d have thought repeating your one point ad nauseam on the E&S site as you do, would be enough for anyone.
John
I’m not a particularly violent man but if you are including me in your summing up of Wolves fans, I hope we never meet because you certainly won’t say it again!
Peace and Love!
Just got back from the gym so I’ve worked off my aggression for the day.
A more measured response now.
Hello John, mate.
I think we all agree that Mick McCarthy did a superb job in taking Wolves into the Premiership and keeping us up.
Nobody is arguing with that.
Where it fell apart was when we were found wanting and he had no Plan B.
Now you can blame Mick for not changing tactics or you can blame Morgan and Moxey for not backing him in the transfer market to bring in the players necessary to change things.
It was certainly somebody’s fault, and it even more certainly wasn’t down to us ‘F**king Morons’.
We’re just the poor saps who are fated to support the club no matter what division they are in.
It’s an unfortunate fact of football life that managers nearly always end up as the scapegoats for failure.
McCarthy is tarred with that brush and Kenny Jackett might well end up the same way.
I like to think that he won’t because he seems to be more adaptable and a bit more ‘football savvy’.
But only time will tell.
Good post Doog.
McCarthy has been our most successful manager in the modern Premier League era. He took over the shambles that was Hoddle with a depleted squad and built from scratch using young and hungry players a squad that in three years won the Championship.
He then gave us three years in the Prem. Okay it wasn’t pretty at times and we all knew he was a Championship manager doing a job above his level but at least he was honest and hard working in his “professional Yorkshireman act”.
The blame lies with Morgan and/or Moxey for not recognising this sooner and replacing him with a Premiership ability manager at least 12 months before they did. And then replacing him with a succession of hopeless appointments culminating with Saunders who is the worst manager I have ever seen us have.
It winds me up that they wasted the good work McCarthy did in getting us up and now Jackett is having to rebuild all over again ten years later in a lower league than we were when McCarthy took over!!
I just hope they don’t make the same mistake with Jackett as or when the time comes.
In the meantime all we can do is support the club we all love through good times and bad!
UTW
Just about sums it up in a nutshell Newt..
Couldn’t of put it better myself.
The sooner people realise that players have a level and so do managers then we will all get along better.
My concern is that what it costs for Managers and players at PL level Morgan will never pay..
Newt,
Your post wasn’t showing when I was typing mine. When I posted mine, I then noticed that I near enough said what you had, but you beat me to it. At least there are a few of us believing the same. I truly believe we will do okay next season, as long as Kenny gets the support that is necessary to move onwards and upwards.
Regards mate.
Hear, hear,
Mick was brilliant for the Club and achieved something no-one else had. He got us promoted AND he kept us up for 3 seasons. However ………… he took us as far as he could and I thank him for that, but the Club (Morgan/Moxey) failed to bring in a manager to replace him in a timely manner and it is that failing that has placed us where we are now. In my opionion Mick should have been replaced before the Jan transfer window or if not (which was the case) he should have stayed until the end of the season.
I have total respect for him and I have total respect for Kenny now too. But, I am unable to say what Kenny will do and how well he will be supported by M&M once we gain promotion to the Championship. I just hope he is able to deliver at the higher level. On current performance I feel he is more than capable, but we are in the “third” division just now. I will give him all the support I can as I am loving how we are playing and would be ecstatic if we were to have successive promotions.
Forever Wolves – FOWB
Well, good morning John, and how are you today?
I have just re read the blogs before you posted your gem, and I don’t see McCarthy’s name mentioned at all, so it puzzles me why your rant was even necessary.
For the record, in our first season in the Prem, we were shit until part way through, when a light bulb seemed to go off in his head, he totally changed the tactics, and we ended up reasonably comfortable.
The next season, he inexplicably reverted to the previous tactics, and we struggled mightily. That is when the light bulbs should have gone off in the heads of greasel and bob the builder, and he should have been fired after the final whistle of the Blackburn game, which as you may recall, we lost 2 – 3, and only retained our status as Birmingham lost ( with Johnson in their defense, but that’s another story!)
Kenny Jackett might only be in charge of a third division team, whereas McCarthy was in charge of one in the Championship.
Well, DUH, we are in the third division, mostly due to the cretinous has bins (?) and never weres signed by McCarthy, for exorbitant salaries, and who were found vastly wanting, immediately, by KJ, and shown the door.
KJ can only beat the teams placed in front of him, and so far so good.
McCarthy is still plying his shifty trade in Tractorville, and will no doubt have a modicum of success. Obviously, he is a fantastic judge of footballing talent, since he failed to play any of our young, bright academy players, most of whom have flourished, finally, under a manager and director of football who, on the strength of thus far this season, appear to know what they are doing.
And where are the wonderful players McCarthy swore by?
All out on loan, except O Hara, whom nobody wants.
The only one doing any good appears to be Sam Vokes, and we sold him didn’t we, coz he was no good!!
I am not the type of blogger to retort to an abusive post with like minded vitriol, life is far too short, and I am such a nice guy!
So John, I sincerely hope you have a wonderful day.
John John John who’s having a go at Mick ? We are just saying KJ has bought some good players and is using modern formations and tactics. He doesnt think it underhand to use pace either. Dont worry about Mick Ipswich are gradually clambering up the championship ( i hear he has got them on double shifts).
John, why is it that you are the only one who can’t post an opinion without slagging off other fans? Honestly, I’m trying to understand you but I cannot for the life of me figure out where all your hostility comes from. Wolves are on a good run (lord knows, best we’ve had in a long while!), we are winning and we are top of the league. Is it really that hard to post something celebratory and cheerful? I’m not going to get into the debate about Morgan and Moxey with you … in my view if they were any good like you claim we wouldn’t be in League 1, so I think Clive has a point. But regardless, he’s entitled to his opinion, as are you and I, without having to be subjected to abusive name calling. And the location of our abode doesn’t have anything to do with our loyalty as fans so your stereotyping of fans who live far from Wolverhampton as lesser fans is just silly. We all love this club and we all want the best for it.
You need to chill a little dude – life’s too short to live angry all the time. Come on, we’re winning! Let’s be a little more tolerant and respectful to others’ opinions.
GW!
John..I don’t know what you were doing when we went down at Brighton but to all suffering Wolves fans the stomach was ripped out of us by bigoted mis management ..
It’s know wonder that the Clives of Houston feel that way as the undertone of the Wolves double drop was that the club was expendable and so were the best fans in the Midlands..
KJ probably on his own merit will develop the fans forgiveness for Morgan Moxey and the outcome will be that all our thanks for our beloved team getting back to the premier will overrule the terrible heartache and ridicule of the last two seasons..
He seems to be capable of it and next season most of us expect that all important top position in the championship..
Wolves support like other clubs is a religion and I never wish to see in my lifetime football at say Old Trafford and then recently having to suffer a fixture at Crawley or Stevenage for Christ sake..
I was at Wembley in 1974 in tears as we won ..let’s hope we get back there again…
I hope the 3-0 win yesterday is a stepping stone to a journey to greatness..after all we all deserve it after what we have all gone through..
It’s now all about the away games and the 2 games in hand on Orient..
On the beard question i quite like to see a team bonding in this sort of way.It also seems an appropiate answer our current plight vis-a-vis blonde highlights.
Personally i havent got a problem with John’s occaisonal outbursts football and passion do go together and you can rely on John for a diverse opinion. Mick was one of our more successful managers but when he left it was at the end of a gamble to refuse to change. Ironically in the previous 2 seasons we escaped relegation because he was prepared to try something different. That he was a strong character there is no denying without him his team fell apart. Players who should have been capable of moving on failed the test. But all that is now in the past – Wolves will go on into the future hope you come with us John but it sounds like you are going to be stuck in the past.
John, by your criteria of paying customers there are only around twenty thousand fans of Wolverhampton Wanderers. There are many, many thousands of supporters who have left the town for a variety of reasons but still have retained a close bond. One of these bonds is the football club. From the first match they attended they have invested love, passion, commitment and above all, loyalty.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, also everyone is entitled to respect.
A reasoned, structured argument is more likely to be considered than an offensive rant.
Enjoy the good times in life and learn from mistakes.
Another controlled performance and good result so well done to the lads. Top spot with two games in hand so we now control our own destiny.
I’ve always had my doubts about Sako and wouldn’t have been too upset if we had sold him last summer but since he returned to the team after being dropped he has looked much improved in all aspects of his game. If he carries on like this for the rest of the season I might have to change my mind about him!
Slightly off topic but big praise to Tony Pulis. Not my favourite manager by a long way but fair play to him for publicly criticising two of his players and fining them for diving. Diving is cheating. Take note Wenger, Mourinho etc.
UTW
Great result, and like a couple of others I have seen, only Dicko’s penalty miss prevented me picking up maximum points in the prediction league. Surely that is worth say 1 1/2 points Thomas?
Nice to be top of the league, and with 2 games in hand, well placed to start opening up a real gap to the chasing pack.
I agree with all that have followed up to such a vile post… I’m sure whatever Clive replies with, will be magnanimous in some way!
stick & stones Bla Bla…from a teenager or from someone that has never kissed a girl (or boy, whatever), I’m sure reflection on what was written will dawn on him one day that being virtuous will gain respect from peers.
So Ade I China… should he also not be given a voice? He recently made a fair trip to watch his beloved team taking training sessions / strolls in the park the last few weeks. But as he is not a season ticket holder he must be castigated too.
Then there’s me… I was a season ticket holder for 9 years, went millennium stadium to watch my team, then made redundant and now for a well known national breakdown company… Unfortunately, I now work 3 from 4 weekends… Leaving me going to the odd game as I cannot build up enough loyalty points to watch the lads play away. So castigate me too— throw me to the WOLVES!
Oh and there are other ways of supporting your team, merchandise, meals at the restaurant, even advertising in the matchday program. I even had my (2nd) wedding venue at the mol. As Lynx eloquently pointed out… We all have different reasons for where we are at at present!
John does make a fair point though, MM got us promoted to the Prem, therefore he is automatically immune from any criticism ever.
We are indeed morons (or numpties) for even thinking that he was out of his depth in the top flight, the fact that some people dared to actually voice these opinions on an internet forum is indeed worthy of personal insults – it’s the only way people will ever learn.
It is unfortunate that a tactically astute manager has got us to the top of the league playing great football and keeping innumerate clean sheets too, as this compels some folk to compare KJ to MM. Although KJ talks less rubbish, gets rid of dead wood, wins football matches and has heard of a formation that isn’t 4-4-2, he has never got us promoted to the Premiership, so is obviously an awful manager. If he ever does get us to the top flight then he too should never be questioned, for he will then be as perfect as MM was and continues to be.
So please guys, try not to write anything disparaging about past or present servants of the club, and do try and keep your insults aimed squarely at your fellow supporters. Otherwise you’re not a real fan.
I like that one Sleachy.
I like that one too Sleachy. I was absent from Wolverhampton when I joined the Army in 1973, and seeing as I was doing stuff, like serviing my country for the next 34 years (yes 34 years in the Army!!!), I never had a season ticket. I did however, try to get to as many games as I could over those years. I have been a “civvy” for 7 years now and live in North Yorkshire. I have only managed to get to see Wolves 8 times so far, but attempting to get an away ticket is like trying to platt snot as our support is so good, so, that must mean I am also a bad supporter!!
I had to laugh at his comments mate. Supporting the club is not by just attending all matches, it is supporting the club in whatever way you can. If I was unable to attend, I was always wishing I could have been.
UTW/FOWB
Just to add, I have only managed to get to see Wolves 8 time so far this season.
Just a quick favour to ask from anyone with a season ticket. Would someone be kind enough to lend me use of their supporter number so I can buy an extra ticket for MK Dons away? I have four but need a fifth. Anyone who can help please do drop me an email to tom@thomasbaughmedia.com
I love the end of the Wolves Goal of the Month for February video.
One bearded Wolf hands another bearded Wolf his prize.
A box with four crackers in. (I wonder if you can guess who won).
He added the priceless comment…
“Shows our budget at the moment, there’s two missing”.
Brilliant!
I will predict with an air of caution….Wolves 2-0 win!
Ten in a row! UTW
