If Wolves control their five remaining opponents in the same dominant fashion as this victory, promotion and the League One title are a formality.

But it seems unlikely that Crewe, Rotherham, Leyton Orient, Coventry and Carlisle will roll over quite as readily as Peterborough did yesterday.
Sure, Fergie’s side were compact and well organised for 45 minutes, but after Danny Batth powered the home side ahead, victory never looked in doubt.
Unusually for Posh, they were toothless in attack and rarely threatened to deny Wolves a record equaling 23rd cleansheet of the season.
Free scoring Britt Assombalonga cut an isolated figure throughout and got little change out of Wolves’ dominant centre-half pairing.
Dave Edwards’ decisive second goal, scuffing home from a typically bullet-like Sako free-kick, killed the contest, allowing Wolves to shift down through the gears in the final 20 minutes.
In fact it was only after Sako’s overly enthusiastic penalty cannoned off the top of the bar that Boro showed any sort of menace.
Carl Ikeme’s flying save from a well-struck thirty yarder ensured a ten minute spell of pressure petered out to nothing.
His opposite number Bobby Olejnik had by this time denied Wolves a more resounding victory with elastic saves from Ricketts, Dicko and Sako.
Fortunately, goal difference doesn’t look like being a decisive factor with Wolves now 20 better off than Brentford and Rotherham. It’s effectively another point.
The only minor blotch on another highly satisfying Saturday was the useful wins our closest rivals collected.
But with a comfortable points cushion and Wolves showing few signs of stuttering in the home straight, what the other sides do remains immaterial.
It’s all in our hands.

Agree with all that you say Thomas and I was surprised too that Posh offered so little to trouble us. I thought Ricketts was outstanding with his marauding wing play and only a fine save prevented him from getting on the score sheet.
Regards our challengers for the auto promo spot .. well the O’s are quickly running out of games (assuming that is they win them all and we lose all of ours!) and Rotherham .. well having seen their gifted 3rd and 4th goals at Gillingham they will be out of it too by next saturday. (They play on Tues and Fri this week)
A WIN AT CREWE NEXT WEEK AND I’LL BE PLANING FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP IN 2014/2015.
Weekend ruined tho’ by Sandwell Town getting a win !! … What say you Clive.
Yeah, the shit winning was not the best result of the day, but why did they play in red, against Norwich? How does their Tesco kit clash with a bunch of canaries?
Beats me.
Probably haven’t paid the washerwoman.
Still, 5 seconds spent thinking about that load of dross is more than they deserve, so onto better thoughts.
Another wonderful win.
All this talk about potential banana skins is tosh!
Every team we’ve played recently has either a good run going, or are desperater for the points more than us, and we’ve stuffed ’em!
No worries, we will win this league going away, and we will ALL be extremely proud to be Wolves fans once again, if we aint already.
The hard work starts at the close of play on May 3rd, coz as much as we love them now, some of our current squad will not be good enough for a full season in the Championship and beyond, and KJ must already be looking about for potential purchases in the summer, to strengthen the team.
Based on what I would say is a perfect, 100% record so far, in the transfer market and on the pitch tactically, he needs to be given complete and absolute freedom to pick whomsoever he wants, as he has done vastly more than any of us thought he would at the beginning of this campaign.
Lets remember, only Leyton Orient have been up at the top with us the whole season, and they have faltered.
Peterbro are one of the few teams we have lost to, and look where they are now.
This marathon has had only one runner in the top places all year, and that is totally due to Mr. Jackett.
Manager of the month?
Considering what he started with, and where we will finish, Manager of the United Kingdom is the least he should be awarded!!
As ever, a merry FO wb to you all.
Hey Clive, I didn’t think you were a Clarke fan? Does the ‘Jackett 100% record in the transfer market’ include Clarke? I agree otherwise, Jackett’s signings have been largely excellent and tactically he knows how to get the team winning and that’s all that matters right now. All I’m saying is, I’ve seen Clarke of two occasions and I’m starting to see why many didn’t think he was right to come back to us…. but the jury is still out. It’s up to him now.
Clive,
You considering meeting up at the DOOGooder’s hotel before the match on the 3rd May mate? Would be great to meet people from the Blog. I am travelling down from Yorkshire and am planning on going there!
UTW/FOWB
Yes I are, and it has been suggested that we meet for dinner in the evening, after the match, if anyone is up for it.
I am quite happy to put my e mail address on here if y’all wanna chat/offer suggestions as to a decent place to hook up.
clivethefenceman@yahoo.com
It’s Tuesday and I’m missing the preview.
Oh, we gotta week off!!
See y’all on the 3rd.
FOwb
Do you erect fences or do you sit on them?
Thanks for that mate, I look forward to meeting you, and hopefully many others. As I am picking a mate up from Preston on the way down , we may not be able to make dinner due to travelling back up North, but we shall see how it goes.
Getting a tad excited now – at 56 years of age, I always become 20 again when Wolves do well!!! Promotion could be confirmed on Saturday too!!!
UTW/FOWB
Cameras, dvd players, jewelry…………………….I fence them all!!
Good work to win this potential banana skin. Even if the Bees win their game in hand, we’re still ahead.
The one silver lining coming from relegation should be the silver of the League 1 championship trophy added to our collection, surely we should demand this now!
What a great weekend!
Another dominant performance by Kenny’s Cubs and a nice little each way pick up on Balthazar King in The National.
Championship here we come!
Got my tickets for the Carlisle game (and one for Rothernam too). Can’t wait to celebrate. I can meet up in the hotel you are stopping at if you want mate. Would be good to meet face to face some fellow bloggers!
UTW/FOWB
Sounds good to me!.
I’m asking anyone who wants to come for a quickie before the match to email me direct:
my.studio@btconnect.com
It will give me an idea of numbers, and whether the hotel will be able to cope.
When I know it’s all OK I’ll let you know the details.
Look forward to seeing you.
Got my ticket as well and hotel booked. Looking forward to the meet and the trophy being presented. I shall enjoy the summer and leave the preparations for the Championship campaign in Kenny’s capable hands .
This win was built on a dominant defence and a very pedestrian Posh performance. I don’t htink we are back up to our best by some way (starting with Shrews at home in fact), but we seem able generally to pick up sufficient points to keep at the top. MacDonald has done well to keep the midfield together, ably supported by Jacobs and Edwards adding some running. Pricey seems to be off the pace compared to his tremendous efforts a few few games back and Sako just tinks he is better than e is (premiereship dream? well I can’t see a premiere team coming in for him, so it will be with us as his best opportunity if we retain him that is!).
My impression of the game yesterday was that we eventually got some decent possession but invariable we had too few bodies in the goalscoring positions. Too many times we didn’t get guys in the box to convert the opportunities. We shouldn’t just rely on Edwards busting a gut to get there to support our loan striker (Dicko, who started to drift out of there to get the ball!); all the midfielders should contribute with this and get into those positions to SHOOT!
I know teams sit deep against us and make it difficult, but we need to get the first goal early to get them to push up more.
One match at a time they say, so 3 points at Crewe should be our target, by solidity at the back and going for it.
But Rotherham coming up will be an interesting challenge, when they are likely to come at us; quite different than we usually get.
My sentiments exacttly (dominant), a good performance all round, their danger man Assenbolonga marked completely out of the game by the stregnth and skill of Goldbourne. The whole team were as one again because we were playing a team that plays football. The ball was on the floor and our football improved as a result.
Well done Wolves, this is what you can do when we don’t play the up and under, we should have won 4-0 on performance and probably more on work rate.
We can smell the Championship from here.
Great & efficient win, we made it look easy. This team are really cooking at the moment. Ikeme’s save from their skipper Bostwick was superlative.
Ricketts second half was top, shame he did not get the goal he so richly deserved.
What a bloody contrast to last season’s debacle. Just 6 pts out of a possible 15 to get automatic promotion. To see Danny Batth score the opener as a local hero gives more pride & spirit to the achievements.
All the Wolves players were strong yesterday, Sako was out of sorts but even he had his moments, his free kick & his first half belter saved well by the keeper.
Onwards & upwards, it ain’t over yet, but it soon will be. Surely even Wolves can’t mess this up?
Do I dare to dream? Not yet but I am close to it. If it wasn’t for their goalkeeper we could have stuffed them. Fair play to him. For a long time in my life I am no longer nervous when we play, I don’t fret or bite my nails and pace around the house. I am at peace.
Well done Wolves and well done to KJ and his coaching staff.
🙂
Seviow
That is how my wife and I are, we’ve supported Wolves for 54 years now. I agree with your point and we never worry when forwards are running at our Defence. We went to the Pre-season friendlies and we both spotted the difference back then. Watching our team is no longer worrying, like you I now don’t bite my nails any longer.
We renewed our season tickets 10 am on the first day of the Early bird offer , such was our belief in them.
Never doubted the result. THE team of the division and all opponents fear US !
Kenny Jacket has worked miracles on the pitch and hopefully behind the scenes as well!
I wish he could work miracles with the Wolves on line ticketing sales. Have made “n” attempts to buy My Wolves ( to get 100 loyalty points ) and a ticket for the Carlisle game but each time the checkout page decides I haven’t put in the correct information (and it’s a different item each time!)
Oh well, keep cursing and try again.
With all due respect Clive , and this is only my opinion , I can’t think of a player in the wolves team that’s not good enough for the championship . In fact they ve all played in it , I think
My biggest fear is that greasel does what he has done twice before…..convince whoever that the current squad is good enough for the next division upwards, and does not let KJ strengthen the squad.
We thought that we had a good team when we last got promoted to the Prem, and it was woefully lacking.
We cannot afford to let the euphoria of promotion, and a wonderful season, blind us to reality, and EVERY team needs to strengthen and improve every year, otherwise we go backwards mighty quick.
One step at a time…what a season….best signing of the season must be KJ and his coaching staff……brilliant…Come on Wolves….We love you MALTA WOLVES
15 points still to play for so let’s aim for 105 points & the title, I’ll happily settle for 2nd mind you as long as its not play offs!!!!
The end is in sight so let’s finish this strongly.
Come on lads!!
Max 7 points needed in theory 97 points but we’ll do it in less I hope..
Proper result yet again ..2nd half game..
Really pleased DB scored he must be one of 3 for our player of the season..
Sako s influence and stature a worrying thought for the transfer season he really is now part of this seasons success ..
I reckon we will be up by the time we are at Coventry..fingers crossed..
UTW
Having predicted a 2-0 win, I had mixed feelings about Sako`s penalty miss. Given we were so comfortable it hardly mattered. I think every time Sako plays after missing a few games he looks out of sorts and half a yard off the pace, even though he still had his moments in the game.
If their 24 goal striker is being chaesd by teams in higher divisions, I image most of our players must fall into that ctagory, lets hope our fat controller leaves well alone. I expect if we win at Crewe we are up, happy days.
Why is it that even though we win, some pathetic moron has to have a pop at Jez!
We won by not allowing Peterborough into the match, KJ has also brought the player’s “after” going to Jez, and has for those players playing in the team this season not being good enough for the championship is an out and out insult to everything they have done for WWFC this season.
oh and by the way for those it applies to!
I have never been ashamed of being a Wolves fan, never in my 61 years of supporting them (I am 65) have I ever been ashamed.
Those saying that they are proud to be a Wolves fan now are just glory hunters, still I
suppose they will all come crawling back and telling everybody how much they have always supported the team!!
Has for Jez I hope that he remains at the club for a very, very long time along with KJ.
Well, good evening John, and welcome back!!
I am one of the thousands of “pathetic morons” who would love to take a pop at greasel, preferably with my left fist. I refuse to refer to him by his given name, that fat arrogant bastard has done far too many underhand and nefarious things, and has been at the club way past his sell by date, to demand even the remotest bit of politeness or respect.
Lest you not forget in your 61 years of undying love and support for our beloved club, the twice we got into the Prem and the twice we had no money to spend on what was needed.
Yes, this current crop of players have done us proud, and will be crowned worthy champions, but there will always be a need for improvement in any team, in any sport, and to do that, new blood is always required.
I am not knocking what has been achieved by this wonderful bunch, starting with KJ, by any means, and if you look back through all my posts this season, and I’m sure you have them printed out and pinned to your wall, you will see no negativity whatsoever.
Indeed, I have been very close to being called a happy clapper!!
So unless you are related to the fat pig in any way, and if you are then you have my utmost sympathy, I suggest you look back on the past 14 years ( I think) that the turd has been associated with Wolves, and examine exactly what benefits compared to detriments the greasy slug has actually brought.
Anyway, John, you seem to be a kindly, considerate sort of chap, have a wonderful day tomorrow, and I will be around the Mol on May 3rd if you fancy a friendly chat, or something.
Some seem to already be debating our championship needs!
Let’s get there first and if we do, team spirit will have played its part.
The players that have got us there will have earned their chance.
Jackett has shown us we can trust him.
My opinion is that he is very shrewd tactically and psychologically.
If he wants Sako to stay he will Jackett will keep him.
If he wants other players, am also sure he can deal with Moxey’s shenanigans.
The way i feel we could do successive promotions like Southampton.
But one game at a time, bring on Crewe and another 3 points….
Another clean sheet and another great win appy days ! Just to pick up on some of the emerging topics Kenny’s record suggests to me he will always be looking to strengthen and wont be afraid to make changes. He doesnt seem to have favourites either goes purely on merit.
Guys! Just enjoy where we are for a
Moment… It’s been a couple of years hasn’t it? Let’s worry about next season when the job in hand is complete – most modern football fans have nothing to crow about accept the odd victory over a local rival, we are TOP OF THE LEAGUE! Savour it! As next season will be tougher, no matter if we achieve our goal or not! In KJ we trust… #TIOLAIKND
Another 3 points towards promotion, only thing worth talking about.Lets not waste time on local other shite.Just about us and the next team we`re going to stuff.
COME ON YOU WOLVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is there no end to Kenny’ s talents? He has even conquered the ‘Manager of the Month’ jinx, perhaps a future challenge could be to enable Wolves to put on a good performance the next time they are on TV.
Another enjoyable game to watch against Posh with some strong performances by the majority of the team, I’d have liked to see Sako’s penalty go in at the time but in hindsight, the more often he is inconsistent, the greater the likelihood of keeping him for next season; missing a penalty when you are already two up in league one is no big deal but a similar miss when you’re playing for a bottom half premier league team might impact upon his place in the 11.
Back to this season, it’s got to be the most enjoyable season for many years, even better than 2009.
Six points is all we need. 2 games’ worth, but in the Premier League it would’ve taken us a month to accrue so many. I almost don’t want the season to end.
Although it would be pleasant enough to stay in this league and win week in, week out for ever, we are bound for greater things.
Looking forward to seeing our club (the players, the manager (alright, head coach), and the fans) really get stuck into the Championship next season. With all due respect to the likes of Crawley, Shrewsbury and Stevenage, I’m much more excited by the prospect of playing Forest, Leeds, notlob, the blouse et al. And I’m hopeful that under KJ’s astute tutelage we’ll beat the lot of em and march on back to the top league in the land.
And who knows, maybe even more than 6 points in a month.
Sako premier League… Don’t make me laugh, He was Lazy on Sat played alot of poor balls and the pen miss summed it up…. However where would we be without his Goals and assists this year. And there lies the problem…
Jackett has turned our club around this season and deserves all the credit for it..
The fans (US) have played our part too..
Now Mr Morgan over to you…
Next season we will see what Morgan is made of and how much ambition he really has for our Club…
Hear hear Nige.. .the MM duo is on the line next season regards a financial move..will they do nothing?
Perhaps we need to replace Clarke I feel..there I’ve said it ..a friend of mine who knows Sam Allardyce said that he would play Clarke just to physically take two defenders with him as he’s such a lump..they might kick lumps out of Dicko..Clarke is immobile too sometimes…besides missing goals..
Sako ..well,he is casual (the penalty) and a secret weapon . You never know what he’ll do..that would include the premier..
However folks.. I hear that KJ is tracking a big name player for nxt season ..must of mentioned it to JM
..who is it I wonder..
Anyway over to him as you say ..he’s smug resting on the fact that he brought in KJ..but KJ has an influence and should be able to call some shots now….
A lot of people on this blog are wearing their heart on their sleeve this week, they can smell the silver, hear the Carlisle cheers and taste the success, What a time to be a Wolves fan. Who would have dreamt that we would all be waxing lyrical about league one, but here we all are singing like Susan Boyle, dancing on the terraces to the sound of the drums from the Punjab Wolves and selling out Stadia up and down league one. I for one am daring to dream, this is Kenny Jacketts team, not Jez or Steve’s, yes they may well try to take the credit but 30000 of us at Rotherham will know differently. This team has transformed Wolverhampton into a sea of Gold, pubs filled with talk of our boys not the Stripy mob down the road, (who’s taking the P now). Every other car I see seems to have a Wolves head glaring proudly at the car behind, I’m sure it’s grinning now, each week at my Grandson’s football training, the kids have turned up in ever growing numbers sporting Wolves Strips, now it’s like we are at a Compton training session..
So back to the main topic, “Wearing our hearts on our sleeves” we are Wolves, we are proud again, we always were but it’s better this season, so you can all feel happy and justifiably so about the work you have done on this site, I am 100% sure the Wolves players and powers to be read this stuff, some of the comments we made during the season were listened too and acted upon, it’s not coincidence, it’s good common sense, Christ almighty can you Dare Dream that one, (a team listening to the fans)
We are on the up, we are a good side playing good football, bring on Crewe then the Championship in a few weeks time.
I for one am readjusting the Sat Nav for better trips to better grounds with better prospects, Oh yes and 20000 under 14 Leeds fans, (well that’s a whole different story)
Onwards & Upwards
Well said Stu –
Edwards goal….
Watch the replay and you will see that Stearman could have claimed it with a tap in, however he pulled up and just shadowed it to shield any attempt of it being cleared.
History is made when it’s your name on the score sheet, so hats off to Stears for a completely unselfish act.
Now that’s team spirit….
Up the beards!
Shrews Wolf
Very astute mate, but, 100% correct it shows up clear as crystal… Outstanding team spirit and thats why we are where we are, all pulling in the same direction.
That and he may have been offside – can’t tell! Either way Stears did the right thing!
I must say I’m lost in my admiration for KJ (and Kevin Thelwell or whoever else is behind the scenes) for the players that have been brought in this season, all of whom have played an important part in Wolves’ success. The only possible exception to this is Clarkey, but it’s early days for him, and his one goal was an absolute cracker.
I’m thinking of naming Scott Golbourne as my player of the season. He’s been really consistent in defence and a constant threat in attack down the left, as well as being one of the best crossers of the ball in the side. But if you had asked me at the start of the season who I’d like to see added to the squad, would I have chosen a full back from Barnsley? It just shows how good the scouting has been throughout the season, and augurs well for next year.
I have lost count of the amount of times I have re-run and watched Danny Batth’s goal.
The sheer determination of the lad to get his head on that cross is unbelievable. The finish too, with the power and placement, is something even top marksman Sir Steve would I’m sure of been proud of.
A cracker of a goal. Probably a contender for goal of the season. I know we all love a good 25 yard pile driver, but that header was something else. Please watch it if you havn’t already done so.
As soon as I have posted this I will be watching it again.
My kids are getting bored now but I’m not.
Anyone also think his quiff reminiscent of a certain Mr. Wright?
We could well have a future legend on our hands here. Hope he has some of Billy and Steve’s loyalty to the club. It appears to be I’m his heart.
Happy times. Proud times. Good times. And we and this team deserve them.
US Wolf,
How sad are we?
When you get bored with watching it, (if ever) take a gander at the McAllinden goal at MK Dons, it’s a mirror image,
Attempted a shot, it bounced out to McDonald, fantastic chip in to McAllinden who rose majestically to sink the ball over the keeper into the far side of the net. A moment to savour, and something worth watching on the reverse angle from behind the goals. (Watch the MK Dons goalie go left right, left right, turn and back, turn and back) poor sod. Golden moments in a great season.
StuWolf, I watched the Macca header at MKD many times too. It was a very well placed nod, and after rising well too.
Hadn’t drew the similarity of the build up play to Danny’s though.
Batth’s still clinches it for me in terms of aggression and determination, Macca maybe shading it on Technical merit.
The French judge gave both a 9.4. The Milton Keynes and Peterborough judges were harsh with a 1.0 and 2.0 respectively.
US Wolf
My problem (apart from my Nerd status) is I grew up in Cannock, Danny Bhatt’s from Brierley Hill whilst he walks on water, I have to pull for the Cannock chap. But,having the committment of both gives us firepower in abundance.
Ref:- the Peterborough judge, has some French in him I hear. So we’re stuffed.
I grew up close by you, just outside of Penkridge, in Wheaton Aston.
I can see the local pull to favor a boy from the Nock. Either way they are both local lads who must have dreamed of wearing the old gold which is fantastic to have in a team.
You just don’t see it that often these days, especially at the higher levels.
I’m sure I don’t need to point out to you or any other Wolves fan that some of our greatest heroes have been local lads. And that is great to see.
I’m 100% behind SM’s investment in the academy.
Danny Batth is proof alone of its success so far. Long may it continue.
I grew up in and spent my childhood in Dunston, had many mates in Lapley from going to Wolgarston school, started Wolves in Autumn1960, (after the FA Cup win). Couldn’t disagree with the local lad theory, easy to identify with something if you know team members. I used to go to all the games with Geoff Palmers brother. I told you I was a saddo, now I’m name dropping.
My saddest admission is that I usually dislike all things French, but the two lads Dicko & Sako are turning my head, Dicko is pure Gold and Sako for all his moments of madness he does pull out some amazing moments of brilliance. This negates the stupid mistakes and leaves me speechless sometimes. His penalty on Saturday against Boro was just sensational, had it gone 2″ lower we would have needed another website to cope with all the plaudits.
Roll on Friday night, Rotherham & Bradford on Sky, I bet they will pull 30000 Wolves fans all glued to the box.
And I went to school at Brewood Grammar, as a border, from 1963 to 1969, and half the borders were barracked in Wheaton Aston.
Dated a lovely lass named Pamela Cooper, wonder what happened to her?
Small world, innit?
Thx for the compliment StuWolf, I was not aiming for astute… more clever dick!
For the foreseeable future, I’m also a blades fan… as I’m backing them to take as many points as possible from our rivals…
Up the blades. (Not too close to the beards though!)
I even considered going tonight just to be there live instead of waiting for the result to come through.
Well, Sheffield just beat Rotherham, so if we win on Saturday we are practically up (only way Rotherham could overtake us then would be on goal difference, which just isn’t gonna happen).
So time to keep our cool, but fingers crossed, 3 points on Saturday should do it!
Then on to be champs after that, but that will go to the wire.
Go(ing up) Wolves!!!
The Wolves are going up !!!
The Wolves are going up !!!
I know you don’t believe us
I know you don’t believe us
I know you don’t believe ussssss
THE WOLVES ARE GOING UP !!!
Almost there. Well done Sheffield United, have always had a soft spot for you since the Ted Hemsley days. And well done KJ for putting the heart back into the team, and for giving faith back to the fans.
Well here i am 15 mins from midnight when the carlisle tickets supposedly go on open sale on line. Got to try and do it on the mobile with just a little liquid refreshment to ease me. Will Jez and the boys be accepting cookies ? Do on line sales wait for office hours ? Apparently if you cant negotiate all the obstacles within thirty minutes the ‘football genius’ times you out and you get to keep your money. Ok i have got zilch loyalty points and i didnt go and moan in stevenage but i will become a season ticket holder again when circumstances permit. Will say how i got on and good luck to lynx.
Good luck Colin. Fortunately I have accumulated 130 loyalty points and have got tickets for the game. Never managed to free up so much time to attend matches before now, so I know how you feel. Anyway, as I said mate, good luck.
No Go. Refused a ticket because i havent got 100 loyaty points. So its not 9 April yet after all. If they want to build new stands and make us a small club they are going the right way about it.
Colin , I took the expensive way and bought the ” My Wolves” package for £15 to get the 100 loyalty points and then was able to buy a ticket. I saw Billy Wright lift the First Division Trophy in 1954 and sixty years later hope to see Sam Rickets lift the new First Division Trophy in 2014. Up the Wolves!
Still hacked off. When they built the new stand instead of buying new players that could have kept us in the premier league i defended it as being in the interests of the long term development of the club.
But what an own goal it is ! We still cant house a 30k+ crowd a major bench mark that defines the smaller clubs.
Try again mate. It apears that they are not sold out yet.
Thanks for the moral support guys they have now taken the points requirement off and the pie is in the back of the net as it were. Looking at the stadium plan there are still small areas of tickets left. UTW
Brilliant. See you for the photo shoot.
We really do have to get something going on Wolves tickets sales, it is crazy when you have to stand in line to collect tickets and are in long queues due to the poor system that’s in place, buying more than two tickets is a nightmare and it’s not the fault of the staff, they are brilliant. It’s not Jez or Stevie baby it’s the software, it would be so simple to put in place. The man hours they waste in the ticket office is bonkers, being such sticklers for financial profit it beggars belief they let it carry on. How can it be so difficult in this day and age to buy tickets on-line, come on Wolves We’ve got one McDonald on the books, get the other McDonalds to show you how to do it, they’ve perfected ” customer service”
Anyone ever witnessed people walking out of McDonalds because they couldn’t get served, it happens a lot at Molineux. “Come on you Wolves”
I must admit to not having had a problem of late. I have accumulated 130 loyalty points so may be a step ahead of those who have not been able to, but each time I have gone online I have got my ticket and printed at home (saving me £1.50), so don’t have to wait for the ticket to be posted through my letterbox. I have one for Rotherham and two for Carlisle. See you there guys.
UTW/FOWB
“Just the Ticket”
Have just discovered the fact that Wolves have played in the third tier of League football four times and have only spent one year there on each occasion.
!923/24 Third division North -promoted, 1st.
1985/86 Third division – relegated, 23rd.
1988/89 Third division – promoted, 1st.
2013/14 First division – promoted, of course 1st.
I have every confidence we will get the Hat trick.
Poor sad soul am I !
We have requested Gladys Knight joins the Blog team (Help me make it through the week) just for these last few games. As your living in the US you will be happy to know they do a full range of shirts from South Korean (mini) to Southern USA ( 5 times XL) just kidding…. They also have the machine to add the names on and for the Moxey price of £8 you can get the letters put on. And at £12 for the shirt not too bad a £20 spent, and that’s from a Scotsman. It would be interesting to see the percentage of North Bank South Bank divide in the Blog fraternity, maybe meet on Neutral territory for a Selfie. 🙂 :-). It’s been such a great season, I might even be tempted to have a photo with a Southern Banker, yes that is B not a W. I’m up for it, You live in America, see if Gladys will come over.
I see Eusebio Bancessi is close to a first team debut
If there is a shirt with Eusebio on the back, that will fit my slightly portly bod, in the club shop when I’m over there, then it will be on its way back to Texas!!
Cannot get used to this 7 day gap between games!
Need a preview fix, or something!!
It has been suggested that we fellow bloggers meet up for a selfie in front of Billy Wright, on May 3rd, before the game.

With regard to Eusebio, it will be good to see him blooded before the end of the season, to see his metal before the harder games come flooding in August.
The Eusebio thing then got me pondering…. Do you think Rotherham will field a weakened team now, as with Brentford winning, they appear to have resigned themselves to the playoffs (listen to the bbc radio report).
Randomly, although I was hoping for Brentford to draw or lose to open up a gap, I’m now thinking it was a good thing for 2 reasons. Firstly it could well have knocked the sting out of Rotherham, this will leave Rorherham to plan on getting to the playoffs as injury free as possible as 9 points to overtake The Bees is a tall order, whereas 6 points may have been still an achieveable dream. Secondly it gives a little more excitement for us and Brentford on the run in, to see who finishes champions, where we push each other to try and win each game, thus propelling us both to over 100 points and a truly record breaking season for another reason.
Up the beards.
NEARLY THERE, let’s by get carried away I won’t be celebrating until it’s mathematically certain we been bite on the arse 2 times before GOLDEN TIT year and SHERPA VAN SIMI FINAL. SO Guinness on ice for now great win against Posh the attitude and commitment of KJ the backroom staff and the players hasn’t been seen since the early BULLY years.
