Now we’re cooking.

And make no mistake about it folks, Wolves are contenders.
A wonderful win against an impressive and determined Derby outfit is proof positive Kenny Jackett and co are going the distance.
Fears they might simply be eased out in the scrum dissipated amidst another glorious night under the Molineux floodlights.
Steve McClaren will correctly rue one moment of refereeing madness that saw Batth escape punishment, but there was much more to the game than one controversial incident.
End to end would be a fair assessment up until Nouha Dicko’s well engineered opener, but much like Sheffield Wednesday three nights earlier, Derby struggled throughout to contain the pace of our forward line.
Afobe had the two clearest chances of the evening either side of Dicko’s goal and by his lofty standards, England’s top scorer should have done better.
The Derby tiki-taka was impressive but only ever seemed to culminate in shots from distance, which were kept out by goalkeeper and woodwork.
Wolves retreated and rode their luck at times, but when blocks and interceptions were needed, someone always came up with the goods.
Lee Grant’s moment of charity was gratefully received on an evening where both goalies opted to punch when a catch seemed easier.
Still, for all his circus juggling Tomasz Kuszczak kept everything out and that is the name of the game. You just have to go with it.
Sako was superb and drained the life out of Derby as they chased the game, using his strength and considerable portfolio of tricks to ride challenges and play some lovely passes.
His late dribble and dash warranted a better finish, but the slaloming run itself was worthy of the ticket price. I wonder whether all Wolves fans appreciate just how good he is?
But it wasn’t a night for individuals. It was a night to savour just how far the team have come under Kenny Jackett.
And a night to wonder just how far they might go.

I don’t want to take to much credit but my tactic if not predicting the score seems to be paying off handsomely. Well done boys keep it up till the end of the season
I actually get to comment on a game that I have seen for once, woohoo!
But I do more or less agree with what you said though – it should have been 1-0 Derby in the first half (advantage wasn’t played but even then Batth should have had a red card if that decision stood) and they did pressure us a lot but at the end of the day Derby can only have themselves to blame really. They could not break us down and their two goals came from two mistakes in defence; giving the ball away in a dangerous area and Mr Grant gifting us a goal (I’m still laughing at that!)
Wasn’t easy, Derby looked a decent team but we came out better. I thought before this week that we would not be able to get promoted, mind is changing now!
Super result pleased with the performance too. Yes Derby knocked it around but we showed strength, determination, know how and in the end just wanted it more. There loan players look a bit like a team playing within a team. Looking at my notes on Bent it just says tosser.
I Afobe, Sako and Dicko we have the firepower to beat anyone in this league. If we sneak into the top 6 I doubt many of the teams will be looking forward to playing Us over 2 legs. Perfect script last night and a good blueprint for wolves. Took the lead just after half time and then soaked up some pressure that we were always going to come under and used out pace on the break to eventually win it however lucky the goal was. Afobe chance to make it 2 would have summed us up perfectly had he put it away. I’m feeling very positive about the future if we can keep this bunch together. They seem to be growing in confidence and finally realising there is a massive opportunity here. Let’s hope they take it.
Destiny or not…the non believers are now believing and it would be (if we can keep this sort of play going) a travesty if we do not make the play offs..
I said that we might have to meet Derby again and we should fear no one now..
Momentum is the word and the international break is perhaps not the best of scenarios..
We have been stuffed several times by refs decisions and the DB incident first half… Apply rule…’what comes round goes around..’ About time… Mclaren said it cost us the match….really…Tough titty..
Sako was brilliant.. K Mac majestic.. Dicko lethal.. Afobe having a rest…
Our defence played well.. Iorfa must of said something about KJs wife..
Can’t make out why he doesn’t play ..
So Forest.. we could a draw now….but the way we are playing we should do them aswell..
Brentford should beat Millwall but I reckon Watford will beat Ipshit..
It’s all getting pretty exciting …
COYW
as any one looked at the video of the Bent foul there is another Wolves player Goldbourne at least level or nearer the goal so how could Batth be the last man referee got it spot on
I was looking at wolves fans tweets last night after driving back and I’m in complete agreement and also I am loving the nickname
Richard’ THE KAISER ‘ Stearman
Sako was good but Stears was immense . Finally we ve got the centre half that was being touted for England by LEISTESTER city
No more playing him at right back . That. Is a proper centre half . Well done Stearman !!
I can’t get to weekday matches so watched this one on tv. Even though the stats say that possession was 50-50 in the first half and that Derby had more shots we dominated most of the first 45 minutes and restricted them to shots from distance. After we scored at the beginning of the second half Derby really upped the pressure but we defended brilliantly and were blisteringly dangerous on the counter. KJ’s tactical move of bringing on Edwards and VLP to stop us getting overrun was spot on. Looking at the table I reckon it wouldn’t be too much of a stretch of faith to see us getting 12 points from 7 matches. That would take us to 77 points – surely enough for a play off spot as Kenny recently said that 75 should do it. Dare we believe ?
Watched the match on Sky.
Derby reminded me of Wolves at the beginning of the season, pretty football but ineffective in front of goal and not scoring very many.
Sako was brilliant, the last run when he ghosted past several Derby players was breathtaking, shame that he got carried away with the finish, simply unstoppable at this level.
Onwards and upwards.
What a messy division… Milwall beating Brentford 1-0 (may change) and Bournemouth stuffing Middlesbrough 3-0 when b.mouth could only beat us 2-1 in controversial games. Each of the teams we have to play till the end of the season are not better than we are right now. Nothing to fear and as previously mentioned all of those teams will be fearing the pace and sheer power of Afobe, Sako and Dicko. 17 points from the last 7 games has to be the target now.
Yay, in a play off position with milwall winning 2-0.
Now that’s the result of the day so far…(as long as it stays this way) 🙂
Damn and blast!!
Holy MOSES, such a PRIChard tease! So close… But wed have been happy with them getting just a point before the game so I’m reasonably happy now…
I would not be too disheartened with Ipshit getting a point today either.
Brentford nearly let us in to “the box”. Lots of little slip ups ahead of us will see us be play off contenders at least. I am happy with what we are doing at the moment.
Come on me babbies. Just continue winning – those above us will fail.
Pre-season I placed bets totalling £1,000 on us getting promoted, at 7-1. So you can see that I’m not surprised about where we’re heading! The November dip worried me but I rationalised that Dicko was injured and this made the difference. Once Dicko was back, we picked up again. Ditto when Sako came back from the African cup. The final piece in the jigsaw proved to be Afobe. We’re more than a 3-man team though; so many other players have been immense. It’s clear that we’re improving and gelling as a unit, whereas other teams above us are stumbling and even having their mini-dips. Kenny was right not to rush into signing players; his preference of signing quality or nothing at all is paying off. This leaves room for our youngsters to break through. Our one mistake in the transfer market was not signing Callum Wilson.
I bet you’re glad I left.
Lost just 15 out of 85 since.
Good luck with the playoffs. Look forward to seeing Jackett against Mourinho
Good to see you back m8
The footballing gods can be cruel and certainly had decided to administer a good kicking to Steve McLaren. Their only kindness was not to let the heavens opens and drench the brollyless forlorn figure haunting the touchline. We deserved the victory but it came garnished with luck (What was the Derby keeper doing for the second goal?)dodgy refereeing and woodwork. We also played some of the best football I have seen this season both in attack and defence.
Just some random thoughts about the defence
Batth and Stearman have been the heart of the defence throughout the season. Batth looks born to play captain and centreback and Stearman plays with his heart on his sleeve, shirt shorts and socks. Despite cultivating the look of an early eighties Duran Duran popster Stearman has proved he is no wild boy but hungry like a wolf to keep is in with a chance of the play offs. In fact it has been confirmed by NASA that the Great Wall of Stearman and Batth can be seen from space.
Kuszczak punches more than an Audley Harrison opponent but as you point out Thomas it works
And finally, I think a round of applause to Jak Price.
He enables Sako and MacDonald to be as good as they are. He is not Hollywood but deserves an Oscar for his supporting role
Spot on Danny…
A few other ‘notes’ on player performances – Sako and Dicko were immence thought Dicko was unlucky to go off ( on the night it would have been Afobe for me ). Stearman and Golbourne very very good. Macca and Henry good though sometimes there forward passes carried hope more than conviction. I agree with Robin Price should always be in the team he is the only holding midfielder we have got ( Stu says there is a good kid in the U 9’s watch out for him ). RvLP what can you say he will run at players all night and some of his crosses are so bad there bloody good.
We have a bit of a wait for this lad in the under 9’s then…. 🙂
Shame both teams around us had late goals… Feckin Ipshit…!
… and on behalf of Clive, I would just like to praise them down the road for making the weekend even better!
What odds on wolves playing Ipswich at wembley in the play off final having enjoyed restorative justice against Bournemouth in the semis? KJ vs MM for a £100m prize, it would be like mayweather vs pacquaio 🙂
Pressures on again..results against us …it had to be McCarthy and Ipshit with a late 3 points…the Ipswich game could be the big one when we play them and it might well be Derby who we aim to replace in the play off place..
Forest is a huge one next thank god we play Wigan and Millwall the last 2 games..
We need those 6 points like the air we breathe….
Bloody Ipshit.
The next seven games are all cup finals.
Some thoughts on the game…
When we lose control of midfield, after a period when we have dominated, we mustn’t panic and lose our confidence. If we do that we will go up.
Stearman and Baath are a central defensive unit with Premier league class.
McDonald, why is he not playing for Scotland?
Price, is a very intelligent player. It was his positioning that was so good.
He bred a nervousness in their midfield without touching the ball.
Obviously RVLP is trying to imitate Sako.
I’d have taken off Afobe rather than Dicko, as Dicko has really improved as a player.
If we don’t make the Premier league this season then we must do all we can to keep this team together cos, next season, if we do that, we will walk the championship.
Me, Mr ‘very optimistic’ also eats humble pie regarding my criticism of Kenny Jackett.
Last night he came across like he really knows what he’s doing… Respect….
Thanks for the post Thomas…..
Great performance from the first minute to the last, the team showed desire, and intensity and kept their shape. When sako plays well,we do look awesome, and l wonder if any signings, would actually improve the side because the team spirit was the difference between the sides.Lets not forget how far this team has progressed as Derby are a benchmark for this division. We have no one to fear with performances like this.
Great result last night and although a bit tempered today we’ve still gains points on the teams above us.
Regarding the Batth incident I didn’t really see a lot wrong with the refs judgement.. for a start he’d already blown his whistle for the foul so it would be unfair then to overrule that and allow a goal. Then, although there was MINIMAL contact on Bent he went to ground well after the contact and imo was almost simulating to gain an advantage. …. that said it should be noted that a few mins earlier Adobe had been obstructed in his attempt to reach a through ball … so exactly what does constitute a contact foul?
It’s becoming all too technical…..
Roll on Forest and Leeds over the Easter period …..
Twix, Your analysis of the Batth incident is almost identical to mine, the only very slight differences were Bent went down way too easy and from my view point he was running to his left of the goal. That does not make a 100% scoring opportunity. Pity about some of the results yesterday. Onward and upward.
Nice to see Bent’s dive cost his own team and not us. He’d passed Batth by 2metres before he decided to fall over.
Agree with you on that one Wolfstroker .. it was verging in the iffy fall down well after the event scenario ( dare I say almost cheating) ..
Thomas.
Outstanding, the absolute truth mate, all last evening and today I was p’d off reading about how Wolves were second best to Steve Mucklaurens unfortunate team. Absolute Bollocks.
Bardwolf hit the nail on the head, Derby were playing like we did during our bad patch, lot’s of possession in midfield but getting nowhere. Our bad spells last night were when we stood off and allowed them space, but in the main we mostly closed them down quicker and that stops any team playing. “Simples peeps”
We were exciting, strong, resolute in defence. In Midfield, Jack Price shut me well and truly up, I spotted hin screaming his head off marshalling the team midway in the Derby half and the team were listening to him and acting on it successfully. MacDonald I think the only reason he’s not playing for England is because he’s Scottish (can someone phone Strachan and let him in on the secret). Up front, SORTED, Henry started and shone, the Afobe, Sako and Dicko triplets are Geling and must be worrying the shit out of the teams above us.
Kenny, I too apologise for losing my unswerving belief in you for a while. You deserved the deafening “there’s only one Kenny Jackett chant” 100%.
Some results were good some not today, but as Kenny said, “let’s concentrate on us and let the rest F it up themselves”
I watched Boringmouth and middle of the road boro today and not to concerned about our trip to Teeside if we can keep this kind of team spirit going.
Onwards & Upwards again.
🙂
Well said Stu….
Whilst we were both critical of RVLP before the game saying Henry should start I noticed something interesting when RVLP came on. On three occasions he went on mazy runs in the general direction of the right touchline. Each time it took 4 Derby players to smother him and eventually get the ball. Given that 40% of Derby’s team (4 + goalkeeper) were in their final 1/3 of the pitch (and all on the left hand side), it didn’t really give them a sound base to launch an attack, plus allowed Wolves time to reset their formation – a shrewd tactical substitution if ever I saw one.
Lots to be thrilled about last night .. Most notably the result, and the solid performance from the back four and front two, plus Sako and Henry .. But let’s not get carried away .. We won more out of persistence and luck than domination .. And the game could have easily gone the other way.
I am thankful we have a decent substitute goalie in Kruszczak, but his no Ikeme .. He was the other player that got away without embarrassment from the Bent/Batth situation after he failed to clear by pushing the ball into the path of Ince .. And there were 2-3 other parry situations that could have easily fell into the path of a Derby player.
Talking of Ince .. Did anyone else notice the acres of space McDonald gave him throughout ..?! McDonald is a chronic ball watcher who seems more concerned about maintaining a flat four midfield than reacting to whatever the opposing team are doing .. The partnership with Price has the appearance of working, but in reality doesn’t .. With too many passes and time wasted going sidewards and backwards .. Ending up with Batth launching a ball to nowhere.
Price may be a central midfielder, but he is no holding midfielder .. He avoids physical contact at all costs and barely holds the ball for more than 3 milliseconds .. Preferring instead the deft/clever first touch to another player that frequently breaks down momentum.
Between Price and McDonald, they may help with the possesiion and passes completed stats, but they are a net drain on Wolves’ ability to create offensive momentum.
While I loved that we beat Derby last night, and the Mol was rocking .. Last night’s performance was not Premier League quality .. Which it needs to be, if we hope to have a chance of making the most of the remaining games ..
For me its tough love with Kenny. The humble pie is there ready and waiting but i am not eating it yet. At Millwall the style of play and his championship record of 9th,16th and 20th made him something of a managerial ugly duckling for me.Yes he is proving me wrong but he wont become a Swan and
be taken really seriously in the football world until he has won a promotion to the Premier League (something McCarthy has done twice).
There have also been mistakes i think i am right in saying every player this season has been dropped except Danny Batth. Where was Jack Price in that horrendous November -out on loan at Yeovil. I know now Kenny is capable of proving me wrong but i am holding something back until he does.
Brilliant team performance last night, KJ & the lads did us proud. Video evidence proves Roskowolf & Twixfix correct on the Danny incident – just goes to show how dominant perceptions (in this case, Sky pundits & Steve McClaren) can twist the facts.
Shows how good Wolves are, Dominic Iorfa has been selected for the England U20s against Mexico and USA, but he can’t squeeze his way into the Wolves first team.
Love Kenny’s last statement on the Vodeo above in answer to the question,”are you having a weekend off after the three games in a couple of weeks”?
Reply.
” No I’m off (Scouting) and will take in a couple of games”
Liverpool Vs Man ure today, I think he’s looking at Raheem Sterling, he has refused to re-sign with Liverpool or possibly Jordan Henderson, he’s a useful midfielder and Mogan does favour the Liverpool lot !!!!!!!!
Ok mum pass my medication.
🙂
Yeah, we rode our luck at times in this thriller but in the end, there’s no doubt the best team won. Bent dived, no doubt, and it’s poetic justice that it was his own team that suffered because of it.
Dicko was magnificent throughout and am I allowed to say he reminds me a bit, in style, of a certain record breaking striker we all love from a couple of decades ago. He terrorises defenders.
Shame about the late comebacks of our erstwhile main contenders yesterday but hey, on this form, the others can do what they like. The Wolves are marching ever upward.
At the end of the day we won and McLaren will always be the wally with the brolly! My only real gripe is that Dicko might justifiably be a bit pissed off that he was taken off when on balance he was playing better than Afobe and I think Dicko is just as good as an outlet given the pressure Derby were putting us under. Afobe has been great since his arrival but Jacket must make decisions based on the game in front of him. Apart from that great tactical adjustments and glad RVP did his bit to make up for the Wednesday game . Come on the old gold n black. There might just be another Black Country team playing at Wembley this season!
With regards to Dicko’s substitution, I can only assume Kenny knows better than me and knows something we don’t about Dicko, he is privvy to the Big picture, (Christ, I sound like my old boss).
Most of us on this site are confused as to why Iorfa is not being played, he’s tall, skillful, athletic, good in the air, good on the ground.
With the results of late and our position just outside the door, In Kenny I trust (again)
Fickle supporter…..
🙂
I like what Iorfa offers (silky smooth and athletic) but I also like what Doherty can bring to the table (gritty doggedness and a rough edge) .. two good contenders for the position … (sounds like an Aldi advert) !!
All 3 slider generations really enjoyed the match. My old man can be ‘hard to please’ having seen us win the league a few times! I was chuffed as he stood and cheered on afobe when he broke late on. Pity it came up off the bar. Even the lad got into it and stayed interested till the end even though it was a late night for him.
Thanks KJ, the team and the fans, keep this standard up and we will make the play offs, then who knows.
Slider,
Glad it all went off well safely.
I had my two Grandsons there aged 10 and 5. We were a few seats apart due to the size of the crowd. When Dicko slotted his goal home the little un was up on the seat and leaping up and down fist up in th the air. Melted his Grandad’s heart. All the fans around him were brilliant to him, one even apologised for swearing in front of him. Class. Did’nt apologise to my missus just the little un. Brilliant thought though.
🙂
It’s a good job my blood pressure pills work because they needed to as I watched the match on Sky. 🙂
A fantastic result and good all round performance from a team that is oozing confidence.
In Benik Afobe we have a very gifted talent and he can only improve. I love watching his pace and movement and his hunger to get that ball in the back of the net. Dicko put in a performance to suggest he is back to his best and the disappointment he showed when he was the victim of a tactical sub shows how much spirit he has.
Yes, we were lucky with the Batth “incident” but it’s about time we have had some luck, something that we have not had for a few seasons, and in this game luck plays a big part.
Well done Wolves, well done KJ and well done to the massive home support !
Onwards & Upwards
🙂
14 hour drive home in front of me, wearing my Wolves shirt to spread the gospel.
Also wearing my shit eating grin after another great performance.
Weekend almost perfect after the shit result.
Normal service from Houston to be resumed shortly

Some wins give you more pleasure than others, and this was one of them. Against a very good, technical Derby side, we stood our ground and battled it out. Dicko’s goal, surrounded by defenders, was a classic of the ‘out of nothing’ category. The Batth incident only offset the RvLP sending off v B’mouth, (if Derby finish up 6 points adrift of Bournemouth they might like to consider the standard of refereeing in this division) and who is to say Kuszczak wouldn’t have got to the ball first ? Speaking of which he played, (punching apart), like he’d had a drop of Polish vodka on his birthday. Some immense performances by the outfield players and I can only think Dicko’s substitution was down to fatigue as he worked his socks off. And why does he NEVER smile – even when he scores ?
Prob could have done without Ipswich getting a last gasp win. Otherwise, great to make ground on Brentford!
Enjoyed the game on sky. Such a shame afobe didn’t bury that shot that hit the crossbar.
Loved this game for me the match of the season. I was tense due to knowing if we didn’t win this one the dream was effectively more or less over. There were some heartstopping moments, and I had to agree with KJ I thought we were 1-0 down.
Their full back Forsyth was our main benefactor for the night giving the ball to Mac for him to supply Dicko for our first & then ballooning the La Parra cross for their hapless keeper to punch into the back of the net. It looked comical, and I wondered if the two players had taken a bung!
An immense performance from our wonderful team, Manager & coaching staff. This game was worth my season ticket price on its own. I’m not getting carried away though its so tight up there that any permutation from several teams is possible.
It’ll be like watching the Rugby yesterday I guess, hoping & hoping & the final result going to the wire. I hope our lot better England & get 21 pts! (26 pts).
Sako was my MOM he was absolutely brilliant even pulling his shirt back the Derby no 2 could n’t hold him.
I did greatly admire the way Derby play their football though, and in WIll Hughes they have the pick of all of the midfielders I have seen this season in our league. Tom Ince is brilliant as well, and could’ve punished us even more than he did.
Did n’t agree with the Derby fans who were chanting on my train back to Brum that We’re Derby County & we know we’re shite! They’re having a bad patch but they should have the class to get to the play offs or automatic promotion.
Onwards & upwards. Dean Saunders seems a long time ago now!
The PMDG’er and myself have just arrived back from a great weekend in London.
‘Sunny Afternoon’ – Fab!
‘Let it be’ – Gear!
‘Wolves 2-0 Derby’ – Bloody marvellous!!!
That and the shit result almost made for a perfect weekend.
Shame about England not quite getting the extra points needed to win the Six Nations, but you can’t have everything.
I wonder if Grant’s goal will feature in the official Wolves ‘Goal of the Month’ competition?
It’s got my vote!
Fair play clive wearing the shirt for a 14 hour drive. Flippin eck.i thought 4 hours was bad enough to newcastle. Clives journey is bigger than circum-navigating Jez Moxey’s girth. Did Jez eat Steve McLarens brolly? The answer is probably. Jez went up the chicken cottage and ordered the 2 piece chicken special-with a brolly thrown in. With mayo. Got me ticket for Bluenose. Already looking forward to the delights of the compound and small heath. Oooh funky moped….
On a more historical note.
The remains of Richard III are soon to be reburied in Leicester.
Wouldn’t it have been more appropriate for them to be interred in sandwell?
So many of his cockney relations live there.
I plan to be at the following games and will be bringing along all the Polo Shirts. Those who have not yet received theirs, please let me know if you are attending these games and we can meet up:
Fri 3 Apr – Nottingham Forest
Mon 6 Apr – Leeds Utd (will be at the Parkview from 1500 hrs)
Tue 14 Apr – Middlesbrough (if I get a ticket)

See you soon Bloggers.
Brompto me boy.
Jenny won’t be going to Boro…………….
I have to go on tne coach they want me to be the Sreward that day, so have to cancel the Black Forest Gateaux this time. I will get it next year on the way up to the Sunderland and Newcastle games.
I say again, Jenny won’t be going to Boro………
🙂
Is that some sort of insinuation? I glean that I may not need to purchase a ticket for the Boro game. If that is the case, I will ensure the financial issue is sorted!!!
See you on Friday 3rd mate.
You may consider said deal done. Reference past business in the clothing industry you should be well recompensed with current transaction.
Bring on the Forest,
Bring on the Forest my son.
Bring on the Forest.
We’ll have the reds on the run.
🙂
Text you when I have the parchment in my possession.
I am sure I will. I will look at the overall costs though as I am sure I will need to buy Jen a glass of red or two.
See you soon mate – and hopefully I will have my voice back by then.
NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Save it until May 2nd, there will be copious amounts of piss taking on display!!
One thing that struck me about the game was how well we kept our shape for most of the game. There were a few lapses in concentration at times, Henry got caught out once or twice, but redeemed himself overall, tracking back on a number of occassions. Doherty got caught once, but otherwise had a very solid game.
Price was great, buzzing around and keeping the ball moving. KMac is the fulcrum of our considered approach play. Dicko is a right handful and provides an outlet when under pressure, Sako was superb. Afobe although a little quiet still latched onto the KMac through ball and should have done better, but thankfully we have the benefit of having 2/3 other players capable of scoring regularly.
I totally agree with the review above, Derby were impressive, particularly in the 2nd half but lacked any real threat up top. Their best moments came from distance…
The Pole in goal still worries me though. If he were more assertive it would take a lot of pressure off the boys infront of him – Batth in the 2nd half a worring example. Although a few good saves and a clean sheet so can’t moan too much.
Stearman was committed and reliable. Hats off to him!
One thing that didn’t strike me, luckily, was the coins being thrown into the North Bank by a prick of a derby fan….what a nob!
Settle Down Everyone…
A great result yes.. But we only clawed back a point on a top 6 finish…
We really need to win all our remaining 7 to Give us a chance… we are running out of games..
The Nov Blip cost us along with games like Huddersfield , Blackpool, Reading and Brighton at home…
Anyway I’m enjoying this league and the Football we are playing.
Why Spoil it losing every week in The Prem….
Just look at how unhappy Shit fans and villa fans have been over the last 2 years compared to us… !
This is the best league in Europe and I’m enjoying every minute…
Couldn’t agree more about the Prem Nige’ but it would be good to have one season up there. Just for the parachute money. 🙂
Wolves are a top PL side with ambitions of taking on the likes of Barcca and Real Madrid within the next 2 seasons, top of PL next year then playing the best in Europe the one after. We have the drive and determination to take 21 points from our last 21.
If you need further proof, take a look at the link below to see how we are now 2 days from the close of the loan window and scouring the World at the very highest levels of football for that elusive attacking midfielder Kenny has said “will seal the midfield and make us the complete team”.

Sneeze, scratch, cough, sneeze………
Please excuse my sneezing and coughing, I have a terrible allergy to “Bullshit”
Onwards& Upwards & backwards & sidewards in every decreasing circles every season.
I just love travelling to the Bournemouth’s and Bolton’s to sit amongst these 9000 crowds makes my lashing out £30 entrance fee and £25 coach ticket all the more all the more a pleasureable experience.
Oh woe is me…..
Don’t worry, looking at the Pompey fans’ comments on the article, the consensus view is jed Wallace is worth about 500,000 and that’ll be enough to get moxey and Morgan dithering until someone else gets him 🙂
Don’t think we have got to win every game but the blips have certainly cost
us. Quite a tough run in against teams who like to get one over us. Far from certain how this is going to pan out get ready for the ride.
Allways positive Nige…we won’t have to win every game..the significant teams above us are Ipshit,Brentford, and Derby and the Ipshit game at Moleneux is the big one..
Without question we need one or more them to falter..if you were betting that we could go into the playoffs it will be the last place…our GD is improving incidently..
I agree it’s difficult and we have diff games to play Boro,Forest, and that game against Ipswich..
We have two ‘soft’ games at the end…and as you know we are crap at those ones..those previous dropped points are coming home to roost..
I think we would hold our own in the PLwith 3 more players ..we would have the cash to buy of course…
We CAN do this…
We are 9-1.
As I said, if we are serious contenders, every match from now till the end of the season is a cup final.
We need to win the lot…
This league is incredibly unpredictable, moreso this year than most. Anything can happen in these last few games so we can pretend we know how many points we’ll need but it’s all in our imagination. Just play every game like a cup final and see where we end up.
Just finished watching the “highlights” of Man City’s latest training session, against the shit.
Couldn’t stop loffin’!
Lescott at left back, that donkey Olssen at center half, wrong bloke sent off after 2 minutes, and Pooliss going apeshit on the touchline!!
Then he starts going on about instant replays etc coz the ref sent off the wrong bloke.
Did him a favour, more like, not having to suffer that crap for another 88 minutes.
As if having 11 “players” on the pitch would have affected the eventual result.
You couldn’t make this stuff up!!
Oh what fun it is to see the shit lose away, again.
Looks like a deal for a new player is imminent then….
KJ quote… “I wouldn’t necessarily say there’s a player coming in,” he said. “But if we feel there’s someone there that can improve our team then we will take a player.’’
He’s not discounting a new arrival, hinting that there is but at the same time trying to sound like there’s not. He has to be the most cryptic manager ever. On the flip side … Maybe feck all will happen as we have heard that statement a few times now… (Bit like your grandad banging on about how he met your grandmother!)
On another note… following on from Clive, that incorrect sending off for the sh1t was laughable but then it raises the question again that if they can red card the right man after the event for that game, then why could they not red card retrospectively after Sakogate? After all, the semantics was that it was the wrong man in both cases! The FA just don’t know what the feck they are doing!
This snippet from Adam Parsons on the unacceptable incident after the Watford game says a lot to me. I too have been involved in a “fracas” or two in the early 70s but do not believe that “hooliganism” has returned. Thoughts?

Sad news from the French Alps plane crash. One of the dead is a bloke from Wolverhampton. Also a Wolves season ticket holder in the Steve Bull. Condolences to the family and of course the rest of the tragic victims. Sort of puts everything in to perspective.
Mali win 4-3 tonight. Sako comes on 2nd half and scores free kick.
One for Clive
Wolves 2-0 WBA
WBA only got one shot on target. (Wolves Women) still a sweet result.
🙂
The chat is that Ibrahim Keita is on his way out of Molineux.
As a keen follower of the youth sides I’d be interested to know your views mate.
He’s the guy that was ripping them up last season, the one I was beating the drum for thinking that he would break into the first team. He was brought onto the bench many times last season and also a few occasions this season.
The guy has been upsetting the cart these last few Months and has been dropped for some of the U21s in favour of others due to his reluctance to sign a new contract. As much as I like him, because without doubt he is a talent, if he doesn’t want to sign let him go I say. We want people who will die for the team, Stears and Batth spring to mind. He is from one of the African Countries and in my opinion he may be getting swayed by a greedy agent.
It is a tragedy because I really feel he would have been really good amongst skillful players.
Our saving grace is we have a ready made replacement courtesy of the Academy system in the shape of Conor Hunte, like Keita he hasbeen travelling with the first team in recent weeks and is equal to Keita in skill.
I live in hope.
🙂
Looks like we ay having anyone in by the sound of it according to the E&S ,KJ says he’s happy with his young guns,or is that the 2 M’s Statement. I think the later.UTW.
Signing no-one seems to be the norm lately at the Mol… mind Moxey’ s wages take up most of the budget.
Nice to see some of the other promotion contenders signing some. No ambition have we !!
Wolves women beat the sh1t 2-0… That headline sounds good to me (we’ll drop the fact they played against wba women).
Kenwyne to Bournemouth? I did not anticipate that one.
Bournemouth are gearing up for a shot at automatic promotion… Fair play to the cheating bar stewards! They can at least sign some half decent players… (Prob on an indecent wage too!)
With regards to us chasing Johnny Williams from Palace with Watford and Ipswich also trying to land him… Odds on he’ll pick Watford as they are still trying for automatic spot. Actually I also heard McCarthy was looking for a top 2 spot too… Not so sure he’ll achieve that one!
He is young and plays in the number 10 role, so could well be what KJ wants as his final piece to his jigsaw!
Have i woken up in a coma no its just an international brake (yawn).
…….bet Thomas doesnt mind too much (over worked young lad ! ).
Not signing Williams doesn’t concern me . We couldn’t give him the games that Ipswich can as our front line is too good . Why would we want to upset players and disrupt the fastest counter attacking side in the division by trying to accomadate a player who s not fit .
One thing that does concern me , it’s just a personal oppinion, but there s so much talk of achieving the playoff s but not much talk of winning the playoffs . The phycology seems a little bit wrong to me .
F o PULIS . Up the wolves
Anyone know how many seats we are going to get for the Play of Final at Wembley? I am only asking just in case we lose out on 1st or 2nd spot.
(Is that better London wolves loyal?)
Come on me babbies – we can do this.
Anyone know which shelf the playoffs winners cup will be situated on? Just to save me the time of walking around I can go straight to it! 🙂 how’s that LWL?
That’s much better boys
Lol … You lot are daft !
I have your Polo Shirt mate. What match are you going to, so I can take it along. Failing that, I can bring it to the Millwall game on 2nd May.
Another player bites the dust and to..Ipshit…our record of convincing players to join us is wonderful..
We’ve still got Stu’s team to rely on (the under 21s) perhaps it’s written that we call them in one by one…
Oh..I’ve lined up a a hotel for the Wembly playoffs ..even the wife’s coming..
My retirement pension is based on the huge bet I’ve put on when we of course win..
I emailed you mate. Send me your address and I will post the shirts as you asked.
Hi brompton ., probably meet you at the Ipswich game but I will
Confirm . Cheers mate
ok mate. I will take the shirts to all the games anyway. Speak soon.
You should wear all of them, and peel them off like an onion when someone shows up!
Be interesting to see what happens if the first bloke to turn up has the shirt nearest your bod!!
Make an interesting U Toob moment.
I see we’ve kicked off the Fantasy Football then. Playoffs! We’ve got to beat Forest & Dipshits Ipshit first.
But just in case, Iv’ e booked my flight to Mauritius for 8 pm on the Sunday in case we go to penalties with Ipshit.
🙂
Looking forward to life back in the prem .
This time nothing can go wrong !
Who’s the geezer with London wolves loyal?
Looks like a plant to me!
You are so easily Led. Zeppelins over the Mol next
Sorry, I’m just a bit Dazed and Confused.

How many Led Zep puns can we fit in before the next blog?
I would think a whole lot, ta love.
That’s very good ‘Stroker. I like that.
I know he reads this blog so I would like to wish Steve Bull a very happy birthday for tomorrow.
He’s made a bit of a habit of breaking 50 over the years.
Now he’s done it again.
Congratulations mate!
And thanks for all the memories.
