Perhaps the most depressing aspect of this third straight defeat is that it felt entirely avoidable.

Unlike Derby and Brentford, Wolves remained in the box seat for most of this feisty encounter.
But injuries, fatigue and a chronic lack of defensive cover ultimately allowed Middlesbrough’s quality to shine through in the final knockings.
After Kortney Hause was stretchered off and Conor Coady deemed his most suitable replacement, you always sensed the visitors would open the gates.
Aitor Karanka even had the luxury of introducing £6 million summer recruit Stewart Downing to crank up the heat.
And it was Downing’s neat reverse pass that created the space for the equaliser before his classy free kick sealed the deal.
Meanwhile, we’re all left to wonder what might have been had Kenny Jackett been armed with even adequate options to finish the job.
Nobody knows the anatomy of Wolves’ transfer dealings and who is truly to blame for the glaring imbalance to the squad, but as one fan put it to me yesterday: The chickens are coming home to roost.
While it’s unfortunate Kenny finds himself without Ebanks-Landell, Iorfa and Hause, it’s poetic justice for the head scratching decision to offload Richard Stearman.
Equally, Nathan Byrne’s desperate lunge that handed Boro the lead is a direct consequence of his inexperience.
And if you sign young, unproven players, they make those types of mistakes and you have to suffer the fallout.
With all this considered is it overly simplistic to suggest that the two teams respective transfer policies are where yesterday’s game was won and lost?
On a more positive note, there was much to be admired about Wolves’ performance for three quarters of the contest.
A classy opening goal showed that there’s requisite talent within the squad to open up even the meanest defence in the league.
Benik Afobe had chances too and occupied Boro’s back four with an encouraging display of power and menace.
It’s just a shame Afobe and a few other guilty parties couldn’t provide the killer second goal that may have won the day.
But on such fine margins games are won and lost in this league and those small percentage points normally come from individual talent.
Talent that Wolves seem loathe to pay for.

I was so keen to read the blog – looks like I’m first ! But what can anyone say; it’s all been said. Maybe at least on this performance we can hope to put up a decent show next week against the Blues.
We are run like a Sunday morning pub team 4defenders to pick from, only 2 recognised strikers.Who,s taking the raffle round to get the strip washed
NEXT!
Come on Kenny sort it out …….. or naff off.
I’ve never really understood the desire to play so much youth, the chances of us actually building a squad strong enough to push for automatic promotion using just youth is I think is very slim. Youth should be used sparingly and coached along and rested often not be the only option you have. A few weeks ago lots were saying how much better we were statisticly with out stearman I’d hazard a guess that those stats don’t add up now. I’m loathe to blame Kenny as I’m unsure how much say he has in the recruitment of new players but what I do know is that someone somewhere is getting it very wrong.
Having been loathe to knock Kenny after he turned it all around I’m beginning to think maybe he’s starting down a slippery slope. I look to blues and think we could do with a manager like that but maybe rowett would come and have no joy like so many others before him. To say I feel deflated is an understatement. where we go from here is anyone’s guess. I think we will be safe but really I’d like to be thinking we may make the play offs however I don’t.
We need answers – who was responsible for the crazy decision to sell Stearman when Batth was still injured, leaving us with the excellent but clearly inexperienced youngsters Iorfa, Ebanks-Landell, Hause. Surely Ikeme is a far superior keeper than the unpredictable Martinez? Why hasn’t Sako and the unfortunate Dicko been replaced with quality instead of unproven and inexperienced youngsters. Again another puzzling omission for the excellent Price. It may well have been an improved and gutsy performance but you can’t compete at this level without quality.
Apologies for re-posting this from another part of the blog but I think it is relevant to the above…
Might I make an observation about the nature of the Wolves squad, especially in the light of the Hause injury (and the incomprehensible selling of Stearman). Taking into account every player with a squad number and those out on loan, the squad appears to consist of:
4 goalkeepers (5 if you count Burgoyne after his recall from somewhere in East Anglia);
7 defenders (2 currently injured);
5 forwards (one out for the rest of the season, one is 18-ish and the other cannot get into the Shrewsbury first team); and no fewer than
15 midfielders (6 of them wingers).
15 midfielders? Three of them are getting pretty good reports currently but they are all out on loan – Rowe, Saville and Evans. But, seriously, 15 f*cking midfielders?
Should not any balanced squad have at least two decent defenders for every position and perhaps the same for midfield? We have nearly four midfielders for every position. Why?
Who is making these signings? Who is determining the tactics that dictate such a plethora of midfielders of whom only one, perhaps, might be a fair cert on the team sheet each week (McDonald)? Why has Wolverhampton become a retirement home for moderate midfielders when what the team needed was a high quality Sako replacement and an experienced centre back and, ideally, a decent forward as reinforcement. When we signed Wallace, Byrne and Coady (and Saville and Rowe for that matter) were they there to make up the numbers or signed as part of a defined strategy and game plan? We spent transfer money on three of those players. Might it not have been better to use it all to buy one decent left winger for example rather than three average midfielders?
Baffling.
BTW, the numbers are based on the following (please correct if wrong):
GK 5
Ikeme, Martinez, Flatt, McCarey, Burgoyne
Def 7
Doherty, Iorfa, Deslandes, Golbourne, Ebanks-Landell, Hause, Batth
Mid central 9
Edwards, Wallace, Price, Coady, McDonald, Ronan, Saville, Rowe, Evans
Mid wide 6
Henry, Ojo, Van la Parra, Byrne, Graham, Ismail
Att 5
Dicko, Afobe, Enobakhare, Le Fondre, McAlinden
Hause and Iorfa are already some of the best players in championship. Saville was bought due to his potential. Coady showed what a good player he was last season but hasn’t managed to set his mark at wolves yet, Wallace was signed because of his potential (where he is now he probably holds a medium championship level). Byrne had some good involvements against Middlesbrough and seems to be improving, but did also do a big mistake. We have very many players out on loan. Several other players are knocking on the first team’s door (one of them Bancessi). The players we have in the squad have a fantastic potential, but unfortunate they are now, in their learning curve, no more than mediocre championship players. The board has to remove their blindfold and blend some experienced, matured players into the mix, or else I’m afraid we’ll achieve nothing more than mediocre results. It doesn’t make the current situation better that we’ve been unlucky with injuries.
Results for our U18’s and U21’s so far this season suggest there can’t be too many youngsters knocking on the first team door. We do in fact have another striker who has just resumed full training after a long term back injury and we must hope he gains full fitness very soon (Sigurdarson, remember him ?) After travelling 560 miles in three days to witness the current shambles I’m afraid the only player who is up to it is Afobe and he will be off soon. No leadership and no idea !
Most of the recent signings in my opinion are not good enough; Rowe , Saville, Van la Parra, Coady, Byrne, Ojo,
Somebody after the game yesterday said to me, keep buying basement priced players and that’s where you will end up.
Worrying times
Very good post. I would put Wallace in the wide men category though making a ‘magnificent 7’. Leads to things like having 3 wingers on the bench. 3? How does that work then? How you gonna bring on 3 wingers?
Yes, I wasn’t sure where to put Wallace – rather like KJ it seems who appears utterly clueless now as to what his best team should be.
Someone posted Chelski fans can now appreciate how we are feeling. Well after todays events so can Villa, with this in mind, we may well be seeing signs soon.
Manager for hire…………….
Head Coach for sale…………….
You fill in the gaps.

The difference between us and Chelsea is they have an owner with money.
We have a comparative cheap skate, who has stated he wants to sell.
No point in getting rid of the manager, because what mug will work, under the conditions of W.W.F.C. ? –
Certainly not Nigel Pearson or anyone with half a brain.
Before a new manager and players, we need a new owner and fast……..
absolutely – Kenny remains one of our best signings since the heady premier league days … lets hope someone can come in quickly and we can put that sanctimonious sack of shit morgan behind us … oh and if the other fat sack of shit moxey would go with that would be ace …
Thanks for the report Thomas. By all accounts a much improved performance but undone by the injury to Hause and the lack of defensive cover.
I’m hoping the breathing space until next Saturday will enable the club to bring in a loan signing or two (heaven knows, we need reinforcements at the back and up top). I do fear for the rest of the season.
In my opinion, this was the right performance in the wrong context.
It might sound daft but if Wolves and Middlesborough were the top two teams in the division, on long winning runs, we would all be talking now about:-
A really good game of football – which it was
A pretty good performance by the lads, spoiled by a goalkeeping error, an unfortunate injury and a completely shit referee – which it was…. and which HE definitely was.
A game which I thought we certainly deserved something out of and even right up to the end we could have scored a couple of goals – which it was.
Unfortunately, off the run of results that we’ve been having, it is just another stick to beat the increasingly beleaguered Kenny Jackett with – which we will.
I agree that Price should have started instead of the anonymous Coady.
I also think that Van La Parra should never start another game for the first team until he has learned to take a man on, go past him and put a decent cross in.
Not too much to ask of a winger is it?
Whether he ever will is a moot point. When Henry came on we looked three times the attacking force.
And the more I see of Martinez, the more I like Ikeme.
He seems to go down in stages (which is fine in a woman but pretty useless in a goalkeeper).
And you just know that there is a howler in him waiting to come out.
So Kenny got the selection wrong, which I admit, as possibly his biggest fan on this blog, is becoming a worrying trait.
But apart from that, we matched Boro for most of the game and had a load of chances which, on any other day, could well have seen us win by a couple of goals.
I came away from the match feeling that we had been cheated out of at least a point by the referee who was absolutely DIABLOODYBOLLOCKALL!!!!!
But I saw enough to give me a bit of hope that somewhere along the line we are going to give some team a right seeing to.
Let’s just hope it’s Brum!
Absolutely agree about Martinez and VLP. WHY I ask give a wobbly loanee so much first team time? That’s true for Ojo too IMO.
RVLP is just not good enough. Henry and Dangerous Dave should be in the team if fit.
Like you, I think that Sat’s performance was encouraging. But, the team have no confidence, which is hardly surprising given Ikeme, Stearman, and the capitulation of Morgan. Everything is uncertain at the mo. It must affect everyone at the club.
I felt worse after this game than Brentford because we at least deserved a point. Edwards did well in the only position he can really make a difference for us due to his wonderful knack of getting in goalscoring positions. Why Price didn’t start I’ve no idea, what does Jackett have against him? He seems determined to stick with summer signing Coady in the stubborn belief he will eventually come good. I thought VLP was poor and looked disinterested. Not sure if he’ll get another chance. Byrne, despite the rush of blood to the head, has potential. What worried me the most is how we seemed to be underdogs, despite being at home, despite being tipped by many to win the league the season. That shows just how far we’ve regressed, though there were encouraging signs.
Doog,
A good summary of what many of us here are feeling, if youv’e read through what has been posted since 5 pm yesterday and I’m sure you hav,e then you can see we’re all a tad happier.
Wolves fans are hard to please but even through all this pain and angst I’m looking at getting a ticket for B/Ham now.
Bedford Wolf and I had a bit of banter over Dave Edwards, but I will go and watch a bloke who will try any day of the week, I wouldn’t cross the road to piss on RVLP if he were on fire. He is another Leon Clarke and is bone idle, his definition of football is fall over as many times as he can and now and again accidently pass a player. In his defence though, as soon as he passes one he goes back and tries to pass him again. What a Donkey.
Interesting to see Bournemouth are 4th from bottom at this moment in time. For all their Summer purchaces, crap diving and constant harrassing of referees they are finding it tough in the big boys league.
Onwards and ????? ( who knows)
I may be wrong but I’m guessing there’s more than one or two on this blog pissing themselves at Bournemouths’ plight and wishing them many more bollockings to come. Am I right or am I right ?
Count me in on that one. I dislike Tottenham but enjoyed their win today.
I thought CheatingMouth would get comeuppance in the PL. Their dubious tactics may have worked against honest Championship defences but they’re up against the masters of the black arts in the PL. Chuck in a few injuries and they’re exposed big-time.
Yes it was better but disappointing to lose. I definitely don’t think changing the Manager is the right way forward.
As a guy said on Gary Richardson’s Sportsweek it’s all about the owner not the Manager. That was in reference to Lerner & Sherwood. Well the latters gone.
We should not dream of following suit. Another interesting snippet from the same programme was Sam Allardyce on social media , his wife obsessively went on a Hammers website & kept him updated!
Well for Mrs Jackett I fully support our Manager. Just have a word in his ear & tell him not to pick that winger who he took off in the second half again!
Allen and Mre Jackett, I must point out a spelling error.
It’s not winger but whinger, never a winger, as long as he has a hole up his back alley will he be a winger.
Sorry, had to be said.
I forgot to say that the posts above are brilliant & incisive and balanced.
And a big shout out for Dave Edwards, Kevin McDonald, Benik Afobe, James Henry & Jack Price they did not deserve to be on the losing side & with Matt Doherty as well were our best players yesterday & should play every game.
Onwards & upwards.
How much of our defensive woes relate the choice of goalkeeper ?
For the past two seasons Ikeme was superb, on many occasions keeping us in games which we otherwise would have certainly lost. He was totally reliable. Defenders had confidence in him. Now for reasons not readily apparent, he is completely out of favor, overtaken by a keeper who is prone to regular basic errors, which completely undo the hardwork which has gone into the game prior to the event. What is the point in having a keeper who can make super stops one minute, but the next concedes as result of a basic howler ? And this seems to happen most games . What must this do for the confidence of a young and inexperienced back four who are already under huge pressure to improve both individual and collective performance ?
Giving the Keeper spot back to Ikeme, might well be the key move to rescue our season, particularly if KJ is man enough to commit to giving him an extended run, and thereby boost his confidence.
Did you see Tim Howard for Everton v Arsenal ? At least our keepers generally only come for and miss ONE cross per game…
I agree 100% Mike, why give a loanee so much team-time at Ikeme’s expense? It does not add up at all. It is yet one more thing that is giing on that I don’t get
“Big boy’s league” pretty much sums it up for me.
Whoever owns this club is faced with needing to have cash that they can afford to and are willing to lose if we ever want to be up there again.
50 years ago the playing field wasn’t level but the disparity was far less discernible so there was always an outside chance of winning sonething.
Not so now. it’s all about “heat”” and the ” kitchen”.
I am learning to accept that our current aspirations should be to achieve yo-yo status at best in the league.
As for cups, whoever owns the club the nature of the business is such now that for those competitions, I have no aspirations at all.
I am not being critical of anyone in particular and whilst I may appear negative I prefer realistic. It helps with the pain…
Thomas, always a great read as usual. Monsieur DeeGooder, also refreshing to read your comments.. I’m really trying to figure out why was Stearman sold? Did Morgan a few months prior to the official sale of Wolves already had made his mind up to sell Stearman to “get back at the fans” I don’t know if this was intentional but since we’ve really collapsed in defending.
Villa and Charlton have both sacked their managers. Though I like KJ, I hope for his sake that he fathoms this out soon. I fear a loss against Birmingham.
Morgan and Moxey are to blame – Morgan was willing to put 70 mill into Liverpool, why would he not spend for I year to keep Sako ?. Built the Compton up probably so he could get a few more house out of it. We do not pat the money to get the quality players, that’s why we end up with so much midfield shit. Ikeme should never have been dropped and Mcdonald and price are our best midfield. Moxey is as tight except with his own salary. KJ now spinning and does not have the confidence to stick with a settled side (when he can).We may get so bad Morgan realises that to maintain his sell on price, oh no shock horror he May have to invest in Jan, well his Love ? of the wolves must be worth some of that 70 mill surely ?
Sako wanted the Premier League. We weren’t there.
Sako wanted the money and if we had (as I said at the time) paid him 60 – 80K per week he would have given us the extra year. I understand that Morgan and Moxey have a wage structure in place where you pay peanuts, but cannot see how they hope to develop the club into a prem outfit if they do not change the straightjacket wage structure they have. “Speculate to accumulate” especially with the rewards that would bring unless they are afraid of their own abilities. Morgan back if he will invest 50m + , Moxey out.
There seems to be a lot of ” we was robbed” complaining about this match.
Well, I am sorry, but I dont subscribe to that thinking.
Just as the record books dont show how we sometimes dont deserve to win, yet do, so they will show a result, a defeat.
We obviously did NOT play well enough, coz we lost, again.
Whether the manager has full control of sales and purchases is highly questionable, but what he does have full control of is motivating the team, after picking it, and dictating tactics, including substitutions.
In these areas he appears to be having brain fart after brainfart, getting everything horribly wrong from the off and then not having the nous to correct it.
In his pre and post match interviews, which really could be interchanged without anyone noticing, he appears to have caught a severe case of moxeyitis, that condition where you try to answer a question, but all you can do is spin and utter nothing but platitudinous bullshit.
As has been stated on here, he is probably as good as we can get at the mo, so we should persevere and get behind him, especially as we are in limbo ownerwise, and not yet in serious relegation trouble.
For me, the next ten games will be make or break, a contributing factor to whether we can attract a decent new owner, and more importantly, decent loan or signed players in the next window.
Shame about the Villa, we just need to see the shit follow their downward spiral.

Hello Texas,
Did you get any of my texts on Saturday, I sent a shedload and all I got back was your original request for my life savings????
🙂
I thought we played well for 60 mins and if Henry would of played at the off we could of been stronger..I thought the rot had been stopped..huh..
Crap ref I agree..Goalie error..Byrne mistake and RVLP..Stu’s mate taking the place of Henry..
But we did look good at times and we missed 3 goals IMO…
However now due to injuries our defence is now in serious dire straits due to an irresponsible strategy of Quote ‘we are ok there’ (KJ) the cumulative effect has now landed at the feet of the club now statistically one of the worst championship conceders (again)
We are giveaway Charlie’s now our opposition knows it…
So DB Iorfa Kmac Henry Afobe Dicko Edwards Price aside we need a new squad rebuild and a new manager… and that’s all..
I heard on talk sport this morning that the Sunday Mirror said that Ince is after KJs job..not sure about him if it’s true ..he has got drive though..
I’m still hoping for a Miricle..and that includes Afobe staying..
I predicted a loss and that’s what we got…I didn’t like KJ’s team selections initially but to be fair we didn’t do to bad for 60 minutes then bang another bollock dropped by the keeper and we just folded from there on.
Boro are a good side and we matched them for a while but quality always shows through and as said in previous posts they have spent well over a couple of seasons and that’s the difference, we haven’t spent right IMO KJ’s spent a lot of money on mediocre third division players who won’t make the grade.
Some of the refs decisions in the second half went against us IMO because some of the Boro players in the first half were warned by the first ref,but after the break they just carried on fouling because the ref wasn’t aware.
I only hope our luck changes when we play the blouses next week.
We need a win fast or else its gonna be relegation fight.
Onwards and upwards.
It looks like men against babies for the rest of this season. Does Morgan think it will be easer to off load a League One club because that’s becoming a real prospect as every game goes by.
Jackett for fuck sake forget RVP and play Price in the middle and either demand replacements ie loans or go public and name and shame if you have a once of respect and compassion for the supporters of this club and what this spineless greedy bastard of an owner and his bitch Moxey.
Should read after Moxey : are putting us through.
Driving home last night I was probably less depressed than I’ve ever been following a defeat. Mostly because I expected a defeat anyway. But in reality, for most of the match, and certainly during an exciting first half, we gave as good as we got and ended the half deservedly in front.
But after they got the equalizer, we started dropping ever deeper and it was plain to see(topical song title quote), the writing was on the wall.
As against Derby, we lost because they had better players. Simple as that. Who we should blame for that is debatable but the fact itself certainly isn’t.
I don’t see our heroes every week, but the highlights of our team, in my opinion were:
Danny Batth was pretty solid and thank the lord he’s back from injury and regaining his form once more.
Mac played well and I thought tackled back more than he used to.
I was really impressed with Nathan Byrne. A real live wire who also did his share of defending quite effectively. Shame he blotted his copybook with the penalty.
Benik played well and should have scored at least once. I don’t think his body language bodes well for his future here though, if our fortunes don’t improve.
Boy are we missing Stears and Nouha though. That ain’t so surprising though is it.
Great to meet up briefly with Doog, Twix and their lovely ladies for a pre-match pint. My shout next time gents.
Monday at Molineux.
JM. Morning Kenny. Good weekend?
KJ. Morning Jez. Errrr no not really. We lost. Again.
JM. The cricket?
KJ. No! Football. Us. Wolves!
JM. Oh don’t worry about that. How did our big money signings do?
KJ. Big money signings?
JM. Yes you know, Benny Adobe and Colin Cody.
KJ. Benik Afobe and Conor Coady?
JM. Yes that’s them. No injuries to Adobe I hope as I have big plans for him in January.
KJ. Well that Arsenal keeper you made me take cost us 3 points. Again. Can we send him back?
JM. No he’s great.
KJ. Jez he’s Arsenal’s 4th choice keeper behind Cech, that accident prone South American and the smoking Pole – why is he our number 1?
JM. Yes he’s great isn’t he.
KJ. Defensively we need to bring someone in this week as we only have 4 defenders. Again.
JM. 4? That’s plenty isn’t it? If you need reinforcements of course I’ll back you to the hilt.
KJ. Really? That’s great.
JM. Yes of course. We’ve just signed a great scrum half, sorry I meant centre back. I mean he’s only 13 but you know how great our state of the art academy is that HRH Steve Morgan built with his own fair hands.
KJ. Great. Thanks!
JM. Anything else I can help you with? I wonder what’s for elevenses?
KJ. Well in attack we need to bring in a new experienced striker on loan as all we’ve got is Adobe, a journeyman striker on loan and a 17 year old kid.
JM. Think I’ll have some muffins with chocolate sauce.
KJ. Jez, concentrate. What’s are we going to do?
JM. Or maybe maple syrup.
KJ. Jez!!! This serious. The crowd are turning against me now. They already hate you and Steve and crowds are falling – the 30,000 you boasted about for Saturday was actually just 22,000. We need to bring in players and spend money in January.
JM. But we’ve spent zillions already.
KJ. Jez on Saturday our entire 18 man squad cost £6.75m. Our next home game is against Burnley who just spent more than that on one player!
JM. Yes but they are in the Premium League – why are we playing them? Cup tie is it?
KJ. Jez they are in our league. Don’t you know anything?
JM. I wonder what’s for lunch.
KJ. Jez I might have to resign.
JM. Don’t be silly. Please don’t do that. We need you. I mean, where would we find another manager prepared to work with both hands tied behind his back?
KJ. Bye Jez.
JM. Mmmm hope its sausages and mash. I like sausages. And pies. I like pies.
Brilliant, at least a bit of a laugh with a hint of reality
Much better performance but the game was lost in the boardroom and on the touchline.
Thanks to the boardroom we have 4 defenders and when of course one gets injured we are up creak without paddle. Thanks to the boardroom we have an inferior goalkeeper when a good one sits on the bench.
On the touchline we didn’t replace Byrne when it was clear he was knackered and then went on to make a rash decision (in fairness, Edwards also looked spent at the time)
On the touchline, someone thinks Van La Parra is a footballer
Boardroom… Please give Kenny a chance a get some defenders and forwards now
I’m moving to jeopardy, because apparently our clubs future is in jeopardy.
As stated in previous posts I am actually a KJ fan but I do fear for him.
Those two Bathplugs at the top are certainly fireproof and will accept no blame
for this mess. When things go wrong those two morons at the top will appoint a
scapegoat, I do believe this one has the initials KJ.
Reading between the lines here I’m putting together a wish list but
within the constraints imposed by M&M.
1, Send Martinez back to whence he came, He won’t sign for us anyway.
2, Send Ojo back and give the guy we signed a decent chance. (Byrne)
3, Call Jordan Graham back, he’s better than Ojo to start with.
4, Take RVLP off the bench send him out on loan until his contract expires.
5, The fans start a “turn your back”campaign at all Sky matches to get Moxey out.
6, Our team learn that if you go over and stay down you get the decision, hello.
7, Teach DB to chase and harrass the ref, your’e the Captain not McDonald.
8, Impose a restraining order on Afobe, he’s not allowed back into the Wolves half.
9, Put a limit on the number of passes made before some player Shoooots.
10, If Dave Edwards & Jack Price are all we’ve got, let’s at least give them a chance
If all of the above seems unachievable, we’re screwed.
As they say in Bournemouth, “If at first you don’t succeed, Cheat”
11. Play Iorfa as a central defender (as if we have a choice). Hause’s injury might be a blessing in disguise.
Like Clive not sure how much comfort is to be taken from raising your game putting in your best performance and still losing.
Looks like Morgan wants to wash his hands of the club but if he lets the team go to pot it will be harder to sell and he is just going to look a bigger and bigger prat. So that will be interesting.
Obviously from the comments on Kenny there is still a lot of faith among the fans that he can take us in the right direction. You should never sack a manager thats got that so we will just have to wait and see.
This was one of KJs best managed team performances give or take RVLPs performance ..the ref..Byrnes inexperience and sticking to Martinez who’s making big mistakes and won’t stay at the end of the season..
Its the seasons lead up to this game and strange decisions either in team selection or in – in play tactics that has got us to our league position not this game.
The MMs are in the shit box but he is team responsible..goalie switching..the early EEL defence tactic..Price Henry Edwards Coady musical chairs..
General unsettling of core players and being perpetually outfoxed by apposing managers..
Afobe is a jewel but we can’t support him tactically and other than part of Saturday have played him too deep..
Scapegoat he’s going to be by his own making..
We are almost rudderless..
Oh Dear……….I followed the match via Twitter and we seemed to be playing ok…then it all went tits up.
Never mind we are on TV Saturday then the 11th Dec, 17th Dec, 26th Dec and 1st Jan so we have plenty of opportunity to show the public how good/bad/indifferent/rubbish/quality/outstanding/pathetic we are
Onwards and Sideways………….
All bloggers.
Iv’e been talking with Clive this morning, he’s up really early must be the excitement.
Well it’s his 72 nd Birthday today and it would be a nice gesture if we all dropped him a post (fence man, he he he)
So Happy Birthday you old git you, always a pleasure sharing the banter with you.
I’m up the Molineux with the Grandkids at 10 am today, the players are training on the pitch as the road at Compton is being resurfaced, ( to make it more attractive to potential house purchacers no doubt) so we shall be collecting signatures for the kids and Clive, I hope to get a last one off Kenny before he goes.
Anyone want Moxeys????
From one K.O.S. to another……
Happy Birthday Clive!
(K.O.S. – Knackered old sod)
🙂
Happy birthday, Houston fence man! At your age you should stop ramming posts into holes, sit back and just enjoy the Wolves roller coaster.
I will add my best wishes to the old coddger. & a hearty FOWB
Yeah, have a great day Clive. Let’s hope our heroes can get you a belated present against the Bluenoses.
Happy Birthday to Clive from Euston. Have a great day y’all..
72 ?
He doesn’t look a day over 71.
Happy B’day Clive
Yes happy birthday Clive -and if you get that contract for the Sonoran desert i am expecting at least one marquee signing (no excuses about the ex wife mate !).
He does fences, not tents…………… work it out.
I’ll get my coat.
Close the door behind you squaddie, that was terrible.
Happy Birthday to my favourite Wolves supporter in Houston!
The PMDG’er and I will raise a glass to you tonight and you can sling a few down your neck for us while you’re about it.
Rumours of a US consortium involving Glenn Hughes (Wolves fan and rock legend) and Robbie Keane to take over at the Mol. No idea how strong the link is.
Cheeseburger.
Didn’t want to say anything yet, but my Mole at the Mol told me on Saturday that there Are 3 interested parties looking at Wolves.
One of them was at the game last wednesday, so I would assume it’s now down to 2.
But, we shall see.
Saw Glenn Hughes with Trapeze at the Lafayette in 1969 I think it was.
Good little band.
As for Robbie, I don’t know about taking over – he could still get a game!
Fence man you are not 72.. bollocks..or I support West Brom..happy b day..Moxey says fo..
I think I have sorted out where our management’s “cunning Plan” is heading towards! It is obvious they think that if we can control the midfield – we will win the game. With that in mind we will soon be fielding:-
1 x Goalie (optional extra)
1 x Central defender (because he’s the Captain).
1 x Centre Forward ( Because he is the most expensive – but we could drop him into the right wing position if needed to help out the midfield). An finally ….
8 x Midfield players to control the midfield,
Baldrick would be proud of that plan!
Rumours are abound,
Allegedly KJ was presented with a magic wand to use on M&M by a freindly wizard.
Unfortunately he misheard him.
He thought it was for Cunning Stunts.
🙂
Happy birthday Clive. Have a great day mate. I hope you go out and get well and truly wankered. You deserve it.
Thank you guys one and all!
As usual, Stuwolf got it wrong, Clivemas was actually yesterday, but a day off is near enuff by his standards!!
I had a very pleasant, wet day and I’m sure your imaginations will run riot with that comment!
Thanks again

Hey, technically when I posted the blog it was still your Birthday, do meet me halfway..
To Clivemas … wishing you a great Clivemas day for whenever it was mate.
Couldn’t understand Peakwolf and the post in hole ramming stuff mind you.

Clive the Fenceman……..Fences…….fence posts…….holes for fence posts……..hard work………
You need a Twix fix!
It’s all so predictable. Why was Stearman sold? To balance the books I’m sure. What a stupid, stupid decision. A wasted season and vultures picking off our top men in summer. Very sad state of affairs. What was the alternative? Buy in a proven winger to replace Sako? Jarvo would’ve done on loan for me. Buy in another striker alongside the loan of Le Fondre ; get in another experienced CB and it looked like we’d have been pushing on. Instead….?! Money back please.
I think the Steve Morgan era went wrong right at the start. Sir Jack sold him the club for £10 and the promise to invest £30 million in order to (per Sir Jack) “take the club to another level”.
I thought at the time and believe even now that Sir Jack meant, by this, that the £30 million should be spent (not all at once but gradually) on players to improve the team.
However, Morgan of course spent none of his own money on players. Only money generated by the club went on players and the £30 million, which could have made a huge difference to staying in the Premiership, went on building projects.
I don’t think Morgan breeched any agreement, Presumably none of this was in writing and maybe not even spoken of but, if it is correct, it shows how the thinking of Sir Jack, a football man, and Steve Morgan, a builder, were so far apart.
Well,
Kenny seems to be listening at last.
Jordan Graham has been recalled from loan.
I don’t suppose he had anything to do with this one, but RVLP is out for 3 weeks, I didn’t see him get a knock.?
