For nearly an hour, Rajiv van La Parra was the answer to our prayers.

By full-time he was the key ingredient for another heavy dose of weekend misery.
Deployed centrally alongside Danny Graham, the Dutchman’s pace helped Wolves overpower a Bournemouth side struggling to find a rhythm in a high tempo first half.
Time and time again he was the major outlet, turning defence into attack and unsettling a creaky Cherries back line.
But the sending off undid all that good work in a moment, allowing the visitors to cease control and wrestle away the points.
Was the dismissal justified?
I’ve seen it back several times now and can’t say conclusively either way. What’s indisputable is that at best, it’s clumsy and late.
Intentional? Absolutely not.
But Mike Jones deemed it dangerous play and although Wolves can count themselves unfortunate, there will be many more contentious decisions this season. I’ll be staggered if it’s overturned.
Matt Doherty has a better case, going in hard but seemingly fair in the final knockings, only to be deemed reckless and out of control.
By that point of course, the game was already up with Bournemouth having exploited the advantage superbly with some fast and incisive approach play.
Even that was tainted by controversy though with the ball seeming to go out of play for a goal kick prior to being recycled and eventually converted by Matt Ritchie.
There’s no doubting Wolves were on the wrong end of some miserable fortune (and questionable officiating) and with a fifth consecutive defeat looming large it was little surprise Molineux boiled over.
Even Steve Morgan made a pitch side appearance to register his discontent at full time, although what our chairman was trying to achieve, I’m not entirely sure.
In a more serene first half there were positives to be taken from a good Championship performance.
442 suited the personnel and although it wasn’t pretty, it was certainly effective.
Dominic Iorfa’s debut was the other a major triumph. The young defender showed strength, pace and no little skill from right-back. He looks capable and ready.
Sometimes you get an immediate impression of a young player’s potential and that was the most impressed I’ve been with an academy graduate for a long while.
How much consolation that will be to Kenny Jackett, after another miserable collapse (albeit under very different circumstances), I’m not sure.
He will however, be acutely aware that patience, like good fortune, are currently in short supply.

If there is a worse official than Mike Jones in the league I have yet to see him. He is probably the most cluless official we had at the Mol since the unlamented Urriah Rennie needed a police escort out of town one evening. I would not put him on a park on a sunday morning.
We should have (would have?) had three points if Jones had not been in charge. We badly need a change of luck and a bit of creativity in midfield. Why no Price being given a chance.
Was Morgan trying to get some brownie points by breating the ref, he would do better letting KJ spend some money on few new players in my opinion.
Still onwards we must go and hope for a better official in Sheffield next week and hopefully a better result.
Neither were sendings off, when I saw the RVLP live I did not think it was a red , that is until the ref strolled purposefully over with his hand reaching into his arse pocket for the card!
Doherty’s was a good tackle. We played badly after the RVLP sending off though, but the side KJ picked could be his saviour, cos it showed we can play well without our superman Dicko.
I don’t blame Morgan for his actions although it might seem unseemly for an owner to say what he thought of the ref’s performance pitchside. Its passion, I found myself in the sedate Billy Wright booing the ref off & the Cherry players, and at one point giving them the 1 finger salute! The truce not lasting long!
Even after in the Gt Western where away fans can mingle I felt anger towards the Cherries’s fans. I think we were better than them & deserved more.
Quite apart from stopping our possible win the ref’s overzealousness ruined the game as a spectacle. RVLP must remember to go down like a sack of spuds a la the Cherry next time he goes for a 50-50 ball, and stay prostrate for the requisite minutes that make it look genuine.
If refs are suckered like this is it any wonder players play act? Its hard not to be bitter, and I know if the boot was on the other foot I know I would’nt give a monkeys, but hey thats what supporting your team is. Leaving that neutrality behind.
Oh & after seeing the leading elbow on TV I still think the sending off is wrong. It was a clash of heads, simple as. On another positive note I was also very impressed with Iorfa, he looks the real deal.
If you go in to win the ball leading with your arm, not looking at the ball and catch the player , no where near the ball, your going to get pulled up. Your own manager said maybe a yellow ! So some of your comments frankly unbelievable. Take of your golden tinted glasses “a bit harsh perhaps” your number 5 spent the whole game complaining about every decision so take a look again
The thing on top of his neck is his head, not his arm. No red, no way, ever. Wolves should have adjusted better, but I saw at least 5 other tackles that were as bad or worse than van la Parra and Doherty’s in the blessed Premier League this weekend (plus one mirror image by a Bournemouth player on Batth that resulted in a Bournemouth corner and winning goal rather than the “red” it deserved!!).
Both reds should be overturned, and the Football League should consider how to handle a game in which 2 red cards were incorrectly issued. At what point is a replay justified? 3 bad reds? 4? 5? 9? 10? If you appoint incompetent officials you have to face the results of your actions.
I am amazed you were at the same game, but the RVLP card has been blanked, I am still insensed though that the Doherty one stands.
Even after in the Gt Western
I took my mate from down south the that particular watering hole some while ago, he said “Best pub he’s ever been in” I was a lunchtime regular for about 18 months some years back.
I admire your equanimity Thomas. Mrs V has invoked a moratorium on my discussion of poor refereeing decisions until the red card committee meet and pass judgement. In the meantime……..
It was probably a wise move to have the football remembers photograph taken at the start of the game. There was little sign of a Christmas truce breaking out after the end of 95 minutes. It all began so well with a great shot from Henry, a good save by Ikeme, Iorfa playing with a composure beyond his years, VLP and Graham causing problems for Bournemouth’s defence. Yes we looked nervous but confidence was growing, the embers of belief were starting to glow. Then Graham scored and you could sense a phoenix stirring in the ashes
Then VLP bumped heads with Cook while trying to head the ball or as the referee later explained viciously attacked Cook like a crazed psychopath. The frail six feet plus 15 stone Cook had to lie on the ground for several minutes and then be helped to stagger to the touch line before he could come back on and play for the remaining 35 minutes. VLP was sent off presumably to a padded cell and a cocktail of sedatives so the Bournemouth players were no longer at risk. A risk they were not slow to alert the referee to when any physical contact did take place. So instead of a football game we got a pantomime. It could have been a great match, regardless of the final result. If VLP’s red card is overturned I’d like Mr Jones to donate the £13.50 it cost me for that second half to the Royal British Legion. His decision making had all the clarity of a First World War General. This league won’t be over by Christmas.
Superb could not agree more. It makes you wonder why they train out any common sense refs might have been born with at the FA ref training school.
The FA in their supine blindness & supporting the party line will of course uphold both decisions, would we expect anything else?
After all what the chuffing hell does this body of establishment lapwings know about the ordinary fans of this Country?
Its all gesturing & smiley good intentions and no real action, or any difference really made.
How could the ref be sure of the deadly intention of RVLP to knock his man unconscious when he was behind the play anyway? I saw it side on from the Billy, and I would have expected both players to go down injured because it was a head on head collision. But RVLP has not yet been taught the dark arts of how to play the beautiful game!
I hope we get our share of wonky decisions for the rest of the season, as they should even themselves out.
You’d have thought with the injustice of it the Wolves players would have made a better fist of it surely the way to stifle 11 when you’re 10 is to play a passing game not go to Custer’s Last Stand mode. Oh well hope we can get a win on Saturday, please give us some joy in this season of comfort & goodwill to all men excepting of course Mike Jones, and the Bournemouth no3.
Cherries fan here. Saw it on TV and think that first sending off harsh but Cook wouldn’t play act. He was genuinely hurt and it isn’t fair to blame him for the ref’s action. Second sending off, he went in with studs up and you can’t do that. I’m sure you’ll get back to your early season form – you have a good manager and a great club, maybe we’ll meet in the play offs?
Bud you are cheats end of, Cooke lay on the floor until our player was sent off, he then got up and ran around like he had been given a drug to make him run faster – thinking about it he probably did.
As for the second sending off – well today are talking out of your rear end, again your player stayed down until he knew that our guy had been sent off.
I agree 100% with Danny valenski, unlike your comments he spoke the truth.
I hope Bournemouth get their comeuppance but cheats very rarely do.
Hi Andrew
Welcome to the home of intelligent informed debate. Only Cook will know how hurt he was and how long he needed to lie on the ground. I could only infer from his play after the incident that he had made a full recovery. Watch the clip. What do you think the Bournemouth player stood by the referee is saying? This happened after every challenge by a Wolves player. I want to see a game not gamesmanship. Bournemouth looked to have enough about them to play football which is what I pay to see. I can take a defeat due to being outplayed or even bad luck but yesterday’s result had little to with football. It was a poorly officiated game and all fans and players deserve better.
Yes thanks for that, the passion & your team coloured specs sometimes do blind you to the facts, but both were not reds.
The Vardy tackle on Villa’s Westwood was a red, Doherty’s tckle was nothing on that one, his trailing leg caught the Bournemouth player. Unfortunately I don’t see us in the play offs at this point.
Jackett is a good manager & on Saturday he showed signs of getting through this terrible run of form. Only by being patient & backing him will Wolves get near the glory days once more. A change of Manager on reflection would be a major mistake at this stage.
I think we ought to break the bank to get a new face in.
I know exactly who we need….
…Mike Jones.
Only trouble is, I don’t think Bournemouth would let him go.
Dooooooooog you can’t say that.
Ah well too feckin late it’s published now.
Of course he can Stuwolf .. whatever happened to honesty and integrity?
I’ll be adding my bit shortly ….
Sorry Twix.
My effort at Sarcasm fell flat there. Hopefully my next post will make up for it……
You’re fine Stuwolf .. are you going to Sheffield?
I will be there, expectations high after yesterday.
Are you and your good lady going?
Not got any tickets yet but will def be interested in going to the Leppings Lane…
Well said doogooder! My sentiment’s exactly.
Would probably cost too much for Moxey
Being a Wolves fan is no different from being any other fan, we are at the mercy of individuals who can make or break the game. I will let you all make your own minds up as to Mike Jones. But my opinion is, he’s a TWAT. Whether or not your a Wolves or Bournemouth fan the simple truth is he spoilt a bloody good game and like all above, in my mind I am 100% certain we would have gone on to win that game. The mind-set was right, the attitude was 100% better that last week, Kenny got the balance he’s been looking for and we were all being entertained again as confirmed by the Molineux crowd. It was without doubt the best we’ve played all season, passion, heart, grit and determination.
In my humble opinion and after watching it again above I am convinced RVLP deserved to walk, if better angles can prove me wrong then so be it, my missus say’s I’ve been wrong before.
Doherty, now WTF was that all about, refereeing at it’s very lowest standard indeed. But, as pointed out, we may as well find another pot to P in because the old ladies at the FA will back their man.
Well that’s all the negatives dealt with, on to the positives.
Iorfa!, what a debut, what a shift that kid put in. I honestly and truly believe Kenny has been Shitting himself at the thought of putting the youngsters in just in case it all went Ping Pong. But being so badly let down by the seniors at his disposal I am certain in my heart of hearts we shall now see some of the other great talent being filtered through to give them a run.
Let’s see Ibrihim Keita alongside Danny Graham since RVLP is getting a enforced rest, then try Connor Hunte alongside McDonald, (wait till you see that kid play) If Scott Golbourne and Dicko can get fit and away from the ACON bring them back gradually until they are truly sharp, then these kids could sit on the bench ready to bolster Kenny’s team like he has been saying week in week out, but as we have witnessed the seniors let him down when they got their chance.
I don’t want to hear we can’t play too many kids in the team because the seniors certainly fecked it all up. Me, I would dump, Leon, Evans, Banks Landell and even give Danny Bhatt a break, he’s served us well and needs to get his head right.
All in all, I’ve had my fill of this league with the dying swans and Oscar nominees, we as a team don’t do that anymore and neither would I like to see it return, what goes round comes round our luck will return and I for one feel more positive after yesterdays attempt to put things right. A moment of hot headed madness cost us the game, but hey ho the game was great to watch until then.
Mike Jones……………….
I hope your next Shit is a Hedgehog.
:-)))))) :-)))))
Apart from the VRP sending off I agree with you, only problem is regarding the kids is that some of our fans want the powers that be to spend money in bringing in players, but were does that leave the kids you mentioned.
Rightly or wrongly I don’t feel that we need to spend millions on players, give our kids a chance, bencessi and all, otherwise what’s the point in having an academy.
And to all those saying we need experience, have a look at the squad, by my reckoning we have 17 players with premiership/championship experience.
We are Wolves onwards and upwards.
You are being to kind to the arsehole
Just posted on Wolves website, our officials for Sheff Wed match.
Oh Dear me!
not Uriah Rennie … please no
good game .. entirely spoilt by without doubt the worst referee of all time.
Neither incident was a sending off .. in fact Doherty made a solid challenge for the ball .. and won it.
My biggest issue is with the 3 Bournemouth cheats YES CHEATS … Namely COOK, ARTER and BRETT (whatever the wankers surname is).
COOK for making out he’d been shot following a 50:50 challenge were he didn’t have control of the ball.
ARTER for remonstrating with the official (Can’t refer to him as a Referee) that RvLP gave the 15 stone 6 foot 3 inch defender a forearm smash.
and BRETT (The Wanker) for going down after the challenge ( which he chickened out of btw) , rolling around and then looking up to witness a red card being branded. If THAT ISN’T THE EPITOME OF A CHEAT THEN THE GAME IS NOT WORTH WATCHING.
I hope all Bournemouth fans take notice of their beloved ones and see what a trio of CHEATS they really are.
The game is better off without you…….
Briefly on the subject of the Mike Jones .. why did he not book TWO Bournemouth players for shirt tugging on RvLP and Stearmen….
Finally I do not hold a candle out for either red card to be rescinded as to do so might look as though Mike Jones had a bad day at the office …..
I’m try to post a picture showing VLP’s clash with Cook
And here’s one of Doherty’s tackle
Great work, mate – send it to the League Tribunal!
great posts by everyone no wonder the premier league officials dropped that idiot mike jones and dumped him in the championship bloody shame he ended up reffing our game and i use reffing loosely .he was clueless .definately man of the match for bournemouth .as for the team big improvement than of recent until that idiot decided he wanted to make the headlines .i for one was pleased to see morgan try and confront the idiot .keep the faith .WOLVES AY WE
It’s never a red. He caught him, but it was purely accidental. It’s a contact sport, or at least it used to be. The worst part of it all is that we were doing really well. It wasn’t always easy on the eye but we were worthy of our lead, but now it’s five defeats on the spin. If there is one criticism, after the red and the Bournemouth players saw us huddle up, they would have smelt the fear and knew the game was there for the taking.
I’m actually relieved…(to see how well we played)…it was as if I was in a parallel universe for the past few matches with a different team..we’ve been playing so bad and conceded a mental amount of goals..
However I bow to your knowledge Stu re Dom Lorfa he was confident, attacking, and is handy in the air but has distribution skills and is a great complement to DB.. could even play inside back ..but we could have two attacking fullbacks when Golbourne is fit…fantastic..
We defended well ..one more player and K Mac can move up the pitch a bit and not play so deep..
Add RVLP and Graham capable to score and we might just get into winning ways again..even without Dicko..
So shit result..crap referee but we can build on this and build confidence..
Dogooder..we could well make wembly at the play offs yet..
Too optimistic?
Given the right odds I’d be prepared to risk a tender on it.
Or even a tenner.
Bloody iPads!
Hahahaha sour grapes don’t come close to you lot does it. Calling Bournemouth player’s cheats while your players pulled shirts all day long and fell over at the slightest touch.
Thanks for the 3 points. Our honest players really appreciate them.
Teach your players how to tackle and I’m sure you won’t be relegated this season. Good luck!
sour grapes thats rich coming from a cherry .couple of your players should be in christmas pantomimes with acting like that and complete with mike jones the pantomine villian .
Hi Bob.
One can only assume that your mental establishment closes at weekends, this site will be all the better for it’s reopening in the morning, try not to fret too much not too long to wait now. Your comments don’t surprise me at all, it must have been quite traumatic for you yesterday seeing so many people gathering in one location.
We have always welcomed other fans of many clubs on tnis site, but in your case we shall make an exception.
Call yourself a cherry, more like a plum! FU!
Must admit I lost it with that referee yesterday. I am usually pretty laid back, but sadly was sadly reduced to a psychotic blubbering wreck. Thought the game was open and we were giving as good as we got. Until THAT red card changed the momentum. Think we can gain some confidenc e going forward. Hillsborough is a happy hunting ground for Wolves. We are unbeaten there since 1960 I believe. So….we all know what will happen next Saturday. I am off up on the train and there is a gang of us heading to the Bankers Draft pub, Market Place,Sheffield at about 10.30 am to kick off the pre match beer session!
Cheeseburger We are not mate, got beat five nil in late’63 or early ’64 . But what is in a few years . Off the top I cannot remember any other defeats. I remember Alun Evans getting a last minute equaliser and Andy Keogh doing the same a few years back. There was that year when we played them last game of the season under Dave Jones and the Baggies overtook our 11 point lead, I think that one was a draw as well. We even got a draw there in the semi final against Spurs and in a subsequent cup game with Wednesday. So put your money on a draw.
After all the dust has settled and the flak,we played pretty well and matched them in all quarters imo.
We all know how shite the ref was if you can call that a ref, but did anyone notice that equally shite wanker ARTER he was in the refs ear before the red card was shown on both occasions,
He’s gonna be one to remember when we meet again( prick)
Great to see we blooded another young player from the academy and more to come what I hear.
Been saying for a long time we should be playing The van man up front with a striker,His pace and trickery can cause defender’s to panic like they did yesterday, lets hope the power’s that be rescind the red cards and SACK THAT PRICK JONES.WELL PISSED OFF.UTW.
See above John .. first thing I noticed .. ARTER remonstrating to the official for a card .. (un)sporting behaviour at it’s lowest!!
Check out your number 5 after EVERY decision
What trying to get someone carded .. sorry mate .. you’re hiding from the point.
Johnok.
In life my mother always taught me,”don’t get mad, get even”
At the coming of the dawn, and the return match, “we shall remember them”
In a funny sort of way, (although that’s 3 points lost)… Jones just might have done us a more long term favour.
He has helped regroup the fans in focusing the negativity away from the players… The players have a respite from the fans anger and should (hopefully) have the double wammy of building on the confidence from that game.
So although he’s still an absolute cock… I’m hoping to want to be thanking him come xmas, after a good run of results.
Looks like a leading arm to me…
Both players have thier arms out! The clash came after, look at the pic above
Looks to me like Cook has got RLVP by the throat is that your best ?
Looks like a left hook by the man in white to me.
RVLP hair is same colour as shirt sleve.
Chris H. Thanks for confirming my historical info in hillsborough. I knew it was a long time since a defeat. I have been to sheff wed about 10 times going back to the 80’s and i haven’t seen us lose. A few scary moments like the last minute penalty save in a 0-0 fa cup match in mid 90’s and the pen shoot out in mol replay win. The steve sedgley ‘goal’ again in the cup in a 1-1. A 2-2 draw in late 80’s after being 2-0 down. In fact a few draws along the way. Put yor money on a draw next saturday.!
If its Sour Grapes then so be it but it seems that Bournemouth Fans are really struggling with the idea that they are supporting a team of Cheats…
The old saying goes “if you cant win Fairly CHEAT”…
Its clear from the reactions of their players it was a game plan discussed at half time to get RVLP sent off as he clearly had the beating of them and they couldn’t live with him.
That was the sorting things out at half time team talk that Eddie Howe talked about in his interview, and judging by the way he and his sidekick (his name is unimportant so we will just call him CHEAT) were constantly on to the 4th official all game. That shows that the management team at that club are no different to the players and probably encourage it.. Eddie Howe has lost a lot of the respect I had for him before yesterday.
They wont go up.. We have seen far better teams here this year.
Did anyone notice that Wilson never got a look in either….
Just read what you’ve written then take a look in the mirror
Jog on King CaNUTe
In a way I also admire Morgan for what he did at the end… However If any of us had done that we would get a lifetime ban…… Is that the best example to be setting..
The fact Jones was only there because he has fucked up everywhere else says it all – time to move on.
And well done to the sherrys i am sure it wont be long before How leaves them again for another big club like Burnley.
Whilst I agree that we were done like a kipper by the reject ref. I thought we were unprofessional in the way we played after that turning point. Man down, we should’ve closed the game right down. 1 decision shouldn’t be the deciding factor of a game.
Good to see a positive reaction from the players even though we lost again. Kenny did a great job turning us around in league 1 wether he is able to press enough buttons to take us on again i dont know we will see.
On Morgan while i think he made a mistake in the summer not doing what most championship clubs do in getting in a proven striker at this level he has done some good things for the club. When Sir Jack was looking for someone to take over there were no foreign billionaires interested in trying to make us into another Chelsea or Man City not even at the asking price of a fiver. As for a Wolves fan being at the helm i dont know of any that have got that kind of money. At least Morgan wanted the gig without just being into international money laundry.
I saw the last half hour on a link with no commentary.
It was after the VLP sending off, but it seemed to me, apart from Iorfa, we were like headless chickens. Everyone telling everyone else what to do.
Also, Sako seems to know how to avoid tackles, when he is attacking and defending!
From reading the comments we were ok for the first hour…
Let’s hope we get a win next time up.
I love the way you are calling Cook a cheat for being taken out on the pitch. Or that Eddie somehow told them to go out there and get knocked out Lol. You guys should read what you write.
Oh and as far as the second is concerned, if you think that getting the ball somehow means the flying in off the ground is somehow within the laws of the game then I suggest you speak to a ref about it. Oh hold on, you already did.
You call us cheats but you are the team that had 2 sent off for serious foul play. Look at yourselves before throwing stones.
Bob your ground holds 12,000 mate good luck to you hope you get to the Prem – you will find a lot of that kind of stuff going on and you will be on the end of it.
Look on the bright side at least only 2 goals went in not the 3,4 or 5 that we have been letting in.
As for the comments off the Bournemouth fans well we should honestly feel sorry for them.
It’s quite sad when you can’t go on your own blog to celebrate, you have to go on the losing teams & gloat. Get a life!
I don’t know the age of some of the posters on here, both Wolves and Bournemouth supporters, but I don’t recall ever seeing such juvenile, narrow minded comments frequent this blog before. I understand the passion that supporting a football team generates but really despair at some of the comments posted here concerning this match.
To the sensible commentators – thanks for your objective views
To the childish commentators – you really need to grow up
I am just going outside and may be some time…..
Its just banter Sevlow if its not to your taste fair enough….dont stop out too long its a bit cold !
Sevlow,
Chill out man, it’s just fans who have endured a really bad run of results going against them letting off steam after seeing signs of hope on the pitch, only for some bournemouth fans join the site to rub salt in some painful wounds.
It’s only harmless banter, nothing more.
Also, if it’s good enough for our Chairman, then……….
🙂
Hope your lad got away ok mate. I was told that the training is/was being held in York not Catterick as I had initially been advised. I am not planning on going to the Sheff Wed game, so will not see you guys until the New Year – have a good Chrimbo.
Hi matey,
Must apologise, with all the defeats and excitement of Saturday I completly forgot to tell you. The Scottish Ambulance service put a block on all their staff going during the Christmas period. He was gutted absolutely devastated, but! The Government sent him a new date of 4th January so we are keeping everything crossed for that one.His mum & I told him to get it in writing from his Chief Executive.
Sorry you can’t make Sheff Wed, I do believe Twixfix and his good lady are trying to get tickets. I really fancy our chances, but then I’m deluded and immature
Have a great Christmas but we hope to hear from you before then surely. ( I know…. Don’t cal me Shirley)
🙂
Never had so much fun winding up opposing fans… they are so easy.. and all seemed to bite at my comment… Clearly don’t have a Decent Blog of their own… 🙂
Don’t take it to heart sevlow It’s only football……
Look at the guys history, beach balls ,Newcastle and the booking of aguara last week, why give him a championship game, don’t we matter.
Bring on Sheffield Wednesday. I have a feeling that Clive is going to get 3 points in the Prediction League on Saturday!
A match of many emotions.
Concern that the line up was going to leave the back 4 relatively unprotected. Surprise that Doherty lined up on the left. Delight that RvLP was used up front. Frustration at the sight of the Bournemouth players throwing themselves to the ground when approached by a gold shirt. Pleasure at the sight of Iorfa playing a good game, even if he did seem a bit uncomfortable in the RB slot. And ultimately anger and more frustration from just before the hour mark.
Kudos to KJ for identifying the problem and dealing with it by pushing RvLP up front. Whilst we weren’t totally convincing, this performance was light years away from the last 3 defeats. Sadly, once RvLP had gone it was the same old problem as before – the opposition squeeze up, we can’t pass our way out so send long balls forward which are quickly lost – pressure then builds. To be fair Bournemouth had already started to apply pressure before the red card, but I always felt we were able to counter and would come away with at least a draw. They’re a tidy side but they’re no Derby County. The issue now is what do we do if neither RvLP or Dicko are available ?
Of course our appeals will end up in the bin. This guy is a Premier League ref, after all, so must have been right (sarc. off). Personally I wouldn’t let him take charge of an under 8’s 5-a-side match.
It’s just the way our luck is at the moment. First half encouraging Wednesday next away need a result need to stop the rot.
As for Morgans appearance waving his fist a the ref lets hope he’s waving his cheque book come January or even better waing goodbye with Moxey after selling to a billionaire Arab shiek…….we can but dream.
I’ve said it in our defense and now I’ll say it against us.
The record books will show we lost 1 – 2. There will be nothing about how well we played, compared to recent previous results, and we obviously didn’t play well enough, coz we lost.
The worrying thing for me is this.
Exactly two years ago, we were in the bottom half of the Second Division, in free fall, and our beloved owner had thrown his toys out of his pram, ( re the Liverpool game)
Fast forward to Saturday, we are in the bottom half of the table, apparently in free fall, and our beloved owner has become red faced through ranting again.
Are we going to see the same, pathetic knee jerk reaction as last time, see KJ depart for pastures new, and some other half wit golfing buddy of morgan take the helm?
I fuckin’ hope not, coz that would make the sinking of the Titanic pale into the insignificance of a West Park boating mishap compared to the disaster that would unfold at The Mol.
It is Christmas in just over two weeks, Mr. Morgan, and the vast majority of Wolves fans want two presents.
One we hope for, the other we pray for.
1. Some victories to lead us up the table, hopefully.
2. Sack that fat bastard greasel, we are on our knees, beggin’!!
As it is the season of goodwill towards all, I will refrain from saying unkind things about those poor misguided folk who have strayed from their own team’s blog, if they have one, onto ours.
I will refrain from saying anything about them, but not to them, so please fuck off back to the southern sandwell you come from. Don’t forget, little people, this is a blog of intelligent folk(mostly, present blogger excepted) and if you start verbally messing with Ben, Thomas, Stuwolf Brompto and others, you are dicing with written death!!!
Anyone else notice, or interested in, the fact that a certain Robbie Keane was MLS MVP, and scored yesterday in the MLS Cup Final Championship match thingy, for LA Galaxy?
Nor me.
FOwb
Subject Robbie Keane…
Harry Rednap did. He’s said he wants to get him and half the American league in the Janary window.
And a Merry Feckin Christmas to you too, Clive.
🙂
Robbie Keane is obviously beyond Morgan’s bank balance.
Our chairman should put his money where his mouth is.
If he doesn’t wish to see such performances, then he has to invest more in the team, rather than berate a petty official.
Sure it changed the game, but we were all over the place after the sending off.
We collapsed like a pack of cards.
Sako seemed to be playing left back and doesn’t know how to tackle!
He was certainly at fault for the equaliser.
I didn’t see the hour with RVLP playing, but one swallow doesn’t make a summer.
Until the fundamental problem, (which is economic), is addressed; the ‘footballing’ aspect of Wolves, will continue to fluctuate.
Are Bournemouth the new Bolton? In white. Getting away with it. Referee ‘the 12th man’. Uriah ‘bolton’ Renee.Kevin ‘bolton’ Lynch. Now we have Mike ‘f**kin cherries’ Jones.
Well they all begin with B. Dreading the result on 20 Dec then.
Sheffield away win 3 points, Brighton home win 3 points,Watford away draw 1 point, Brentford home win 3 points…. Happy Xmas and a better New Year…

Having refereed at a junior level for many years I thought I would never call a referee, but what I saw on Saturday with this clown was an absolute joke. Even from the middle of the upper Billy Wright, with my fading eyesight I could see an accidental clash of heads between 2 players looking at the ball. If this so called referee keeps this up he`ll be doing an under 8 league game someone soon. I wonder what the referee assessor made of the incident.
Even though at the start of the second half the opposition were far sharper, we were coping with ease with 11 men.
I was chatting with an Owls fan who had been to Blackburn on Sat so he was purring, he said having seen the incident on TV, it was nothing more than a clash of heads you`d see on the parks every Sunday morning. Didn`t think it was even a foul, but for a clash of heads the ref stops play at any level. Wonder if the red will be rescinded, lets wait and see eh.
Mark,
I totally agree with your opinion here on that poor excuse for a referee.
Now we have, not only the fans trying to justify their gaining three points from his inept performance but also the Bournemouth Chairman is playing mind games, trying to claim he was intimidated by the Wolves fans trying to paint a poor picture in order to deflect any sort of finger pointing toward his team. Total gamesmanship as far as I’m concerned, his players have been trying to defend themselves and accusing Doherty of being nothing more than a common thug. Poor sportsmanship I say, if this is an example of what football in the Championship is all about then thank God for Kenny and his honest hard working style of play.
I’d rather be watching Wolves win or lose than some of the stuff we’ve encountered this season.
And if this upsets any individuals on this site so be it. It’s my opinion and mine alone, I pay my money and I will have my say in my own way.
http://footballleagueworld.co.uk/afc-bournemouth-chairman-feared-for-his-safety/?
On a far more pleasant note, the Parliament minutes are out and it looks like we may have sown some positive seeds for the disabled fans, the head groundsman is looking into dugout style covering for our wonderful guys and girls. I am asking any blogger worth his salt on this site to help me push this issue, we can force their hand now with a little gentle pressure.
Well done Ben.
From me a huge thank you.
:-)))))) :-)))))))
Poor little lamb, the Bournemouth chairman, wearing his Bournemouth coat and being scared for his life.
What exactly is a Bournemouth coat anyhow?
Does it have a big wide yellow stripe down the back, or is it like them weebles toys, one puff of air and it falls over?
The bloke who should be fearful is greasel, he’s caused us more problems than all of the other football league teams put together!
According to the story in the ‘footballleaagueworld’ link, the Bournemouth Chairman was ‘intimated’ by he Wolves fans.
That’s closer to being intimate than intimidated.
Come on! Who was it?
‘the’ Wolves fans.
That’s a bit rich. I take the piss out of a typing error and make an error in the piss take.
Fock!!!
Moxey said: “We won’t pay £2m over the odds for any player. The amount of work by the scouts is huge. Now we need to find replacements in January for Bakary Sako and Nouha Dicko.”
This was taken from the E & S.
You should have said this, and acted on it, last May, you useless sack of shit!!!
Three weeks away, and NOW you realize we are gonna lose them for a month?
And this is why he’s paid the big bucks?
This, a bloke who played basketball in his youth, was at Partick Thistle, Rangers and Stoke, and he purports to know something about football?
What total bollocks.
According to Wikepedia, when greasel retires, and there are some who would say he’s never started, he will come and live over here with his American wife.
Bring him on, I say, the sooner the better. he will get a warm welcome from some of us!
Makes my blood boil that the useless turd has been at The Mol for 14 years.
He will be demanding a testimonial soon!
That could be fun, put the greasy prick in stocks, and throw pies at his ugly mug, one for every pound he has raped from our club!!
Fat bastard.
I hate him more than the shit.
I knew you did not like the guy, but I did not realise by how much!!!
I now understand why you had not been invited to participate in their Ice Bucket challenge. Maybe they had heard that you would have replaced the ice water with acid!!!
Dear Mr Houston.
Wishing you the compliments of the season.
I never know when your’e being serious or joking, but either way “God Bless America”
The future Lord Moxey of Tipton
I have to say a testimonial will be worthless .. no fucker would turn up …..
If I’m reading it right, Doherty has been banned for 3 games and RVLP has had his appeal upheld resulting in reverse of his punishment. On Wolves news now.
Mile Jones has been dropped as referee for this weekend, third official at Burnley.
Looks like we may have some luck after all.
I can only pray that Mike Jones NEVER officiated again…… just endorses that his decision with RvLP knackered the result … we were coasting…
Outstanding,
Stearman in for Doherty and continue from where we left off up to the hour mark on Saturday.
Bring it on.
StuWolf, Colin and Everyone,
I am gutted that we lost again, but I am convinced that we have turned a corner in so far as the team spirit seems to have been restored. Score goals and play well and we will come good. We ,anged that for 45 mins on Saturday.
I rate Iorfa as I have said and Stears was my pllayer of the season last year. KJ will retain his nerve and drop whomever as he has shown in the past.
Keep the faith and feel free to ignore anyone who posts in here who is not a Wolves fan. This is our forum and we should welcome constructive comments, both positive and negative from other fans. However, I am saddened to see how shallow and offensive the comments have been.
Rvlp is available, so I would say the same team for Weds apart from Doc and lo, 3 points.
Shame about Steve Morgan, he should know better. But, it does show he cares and has passion.
Good news for disabled fans, if I can add anything to the debate I will. But as ani interim measure, some WD40 with tinsel for the wheelchair users in th North Bank might be a seasonal gesture.

Obviously you are back in gfine fettle after your op, very glad to see you back blogging.
A Question,
Do you know the date of the disabled supporters meeting, I feel it is the 12th but have lost the paper with the date on it. I want to go along and just turn up as a member of public, I’m sure it’s not a closed meeting and with my charm and suave sopisticated manner I should be able to blag my way in. I want to try and get on to the committee in the future. As a retired Paramedic of 33 years I think I need a challenge in my area of expertise, would love to hear lane excuses from the M&M side. As an able bodied fan I could set their negativity in flames.

The Wolves website says that the last meeting of the DSA was yesterday, which probably means that there will be a meeting in the New Year. I haven’t jooined this group as I wouldn’t want to attend midweek meetings. There are no suitable trains midweek. When I am next in town (? Brentford), It would be good to meet up. I am still not fully OK, but should be back by then.
Jerryd
Sounds like a plan to me. Brentford it is then.
I think I’m going to call in at the office and see if I can get on the DSA or see what the procedure is.
Hope I don’thave to sleep with Moxey.
:-((((
Just think Clive, you could get 4 pies for £1 in some of the of cheapo frozen store chains. That’s 4 times more ammo and frozen!
No, cant do that.
it is exactly the greasel mindset, doing stuff on the cheap.
When my pies hit him between his eyes, I want him to know the impact quality makes, not quantity!!
Small consolation that VLP found not guilty as sending off cost us the game no question. However, onwards and upwards to the Owls on Saturday. The University of Sheffield has a specially brewed beer by the name of Black and Gold – son is at the Uni so will be downing one or two in the student’s union before the game. Good omen? I bloody well hope so!
The first hour’s performance on Saturday gives me cause for optimism and I have a feeling that this nightmare run will come to an end at Hillsborough.
KJ’s thoughts….
“I haven’t got a comment on Mike Jones’ career overall as a referee, I don’t think it’s my place to comment on that.
As we know that KJ is the most cryptic of managers, he’s really saying….,
“That ref is an absolute cock, cock, cock, etc, etc…. He has truly fecked up his career now and I’ll take a little solace knowing his career as a top flight ref has now gone down the pan. I’d offer him a job as a ball boy to help him out but he’d feck that up too”.
(No offence to ball boys by the way as you do a grand job).
Exciting news from Houston, Texas.
Owen Coyle has been appointed head coach of Houston Dynamo, that powerhouse of MLS.
He might do OK being as there is no such thing as relegation………………
