I think it was about 1994 when someone discovered the goal in front of the North Bank was too big and the crossbar had to be lowered by several inches.

But not before Neil Emblen and Robbie Dennison had both delivered postage stamps to secure some ill-gotten points.
Maybe Kenny and co should consider redeploying this tactic against Sheffield Wednesday in a fortnight?
Or just play Kevin McDonald.
Either would be acceptable to an increasingly apathetic home crowd who’ve taken to cheering every shot on target as the drought continues unabated.
Four consecutive nil nils is a phenomenon. Has it ever happened before (anywhere)? Will it ever happen again?
Today’s history makers were guiltier of wasting chances than failing to create them as Joe Mason twice, Dave Edwards and George Saville all fluffed their lines.
And Carl Ikeme was enough to prevent Rotherham ending the goalless sequence as the minutes slipped away on our Redrow wrist-strap scoreboard.
Kenny Jackett said afterwards he’d exhausted all available options, which seems questionable considering he only deployed one substitute and again overlooked Kevin McDonald – who hasn’t played a single minute in any of the four stalemates.
Whatever your persuasion when it comes to our head coach, it’s impossible not to share the frustration of the masses at his current tactical oversights.
One switch that did work was moving Dominic Iorfa into the middle alongside Danny Batth. His attributes are more suited to a central role and he was comfortable in there today.
Bright Enobokhare and Sylvan Deslandes showed great potential and also their inexperience and lack of physical strength in up and down performances. Both should come back better next season.
Collectively, there was some better approach play but that too often broke down in the final third where quality and a killer instinct were both absent.
Joe Mason isn’t the man to put your house on, proven by his failure to convert any of the three one-on-one situations he’s faced this week.
There’s no lack of movement or enthusiasm, but I don’t see him ever finishing on a consistent enough basis or making goals for himself in the way Nouha Dicko so often has.
Drawing another blank today in a fixture that has seen 15 goals shared out in the two previous seasons is a fitting indicator of how significantly the landscape has shifted on and off the pitch.
Molineux is barren and patience is in equally short supply.

Thanks Thomas , I’m not sure how you manage to report sometimes given the current lack of action , but it’s allways well appreciated and enjoyed. Red row wrist band strap scoreboard ‘ conjures up all sorts for us who can’t get to the games each week , brilliant. Unfortunately I predicted a draw and was correct again. Boooring. Incidentally how many there today ? Utw
Who’s up for a Wolves Bloggers’ walkout or pitch invasion in a fortnight?
Maybe not though, it would involve a lot of middle aged (mostly) men and women dragging themselves out of the thick syrup of lethargy that has descended around Molineux.
Better just to sit and watch and lay bets on exactly when (if ever) we will score our next goal.
And who the Sam Hill is going to score it?
Perhaps we could borrow a few of those ‘Proud history, What future’ signs that the Villa fans used so effectively at the weekend.
Shit game as expected.
I see the vultures are already gathering.
Palace planning bid of £3m for Iorfa, bet Moxey is already booking his travel plans down to Selhurst Park.
Yes it’s pretty grim down at the Golden Palace. The South bank summing it all up singing ‘We’re fucking bored!’
Positives, Jed Wallace could be a player for us. He’s definitely more physically imposing after his Millwall stint. His answers to fans questions in the programme were the best or most interesting I’ve read this season. He comes across as very confident & driven.
Although not everyone around me thought Mason was much cop I & another thought he did good work getting into dangerous areas. His running also stretched their defence.
He doesn’t like the physical side too much though.
In all I’d say for Pete’s sake keep the team that ended the game, give these guys a chance to gel.
If McDonald has a future at the club & us mere fans would never know what’s going on. I would put him in the side instead of Edwards or Coady but other than that give this team time to bed in as our first choice strongest 11 as a starting point please. We may score & perhaps win the last two games then.
Refreshing answer without the usual anti Jackett/ Moxey drivel, I too would keep this team but I bet there will be changes for the Forest game.
Keep reading the lack of goals from ALF and Masons but how many 90 minute games have they actually played together.
I thought we played quite well upto the final third and had we had Dicko in there would have scored an hatfull.
Looking forward to next season with more hope, this young team will have more experience under the belts and with a couple of new players in I believe we will do well.
Has for the South Bank, wonder how they feel being out shouted and out sung by a small pocket of about 20 Rotherham fans, the crowd can lift a team and yesterday we failed, yes I know the team have to do their bit by playing well, but we have a very young team and sometimes they need help, but all we gother from the sarf bank was ” we hate ?” (I refuse to say their name) stick your hands up if you love Sir Jack, the same fans by the way that told the club were to stick the £10 quid.
Yes things need to improve on the pitch but it also needs to improve in the stands by the fans singing our support eg the Southampton match.
In late August just ahead of the home game wth Charlton myself and 4 fellow Bedfordians – BOG, Rhys Lightning, Notts County and Tim ‘salt of the Earth’ Salt – bumped into Kenny Jackett. Nice man that he is, rubbish manager but nice man, he stopped for a chat. He said how he thought the Championship was wide open this season with everyone capable of beating everyone else – apart from Rotherham. He clearly didn’t rate them at all. Well Kenny what do you think now? We couldn’t beat them, we couldn’t even score past them. Four consecutive 0-0 home draws must be a new League record?
On the brighter side MK Franchise, complete with the thug Antony Kay, were relegated. Good riddance to a horrible little plastic club. I so hope the real Dons, AFC Wimbledon, get promoted through the play-offs and so get to play their usurpers.
And with a nod to the awful new away kit – out of darkness cometh lime green!
Not going to mention the injuries, also the fact that Rotherham didn’t come to play football, the away strip you don’t have to buy, but if you can’t make a comment regarding the club /team without insulting them and degrading them then I suggest you **** off up the road and “support” them, I think most fans are fed up with all the fecking moaning, we know it hasn’t been great this season but after watching the team for 63 of my 67 years I have seen it all before, and at NO time have I ever bood the team off unlike the assholes yesterday, that’s just what a young team like ours needs, even the Rotherham few showed us how to get behind your team.
John – had to read your comment several times over just to make sure you were actually telling me to shut up or f**k off.
I have only followed Wolves for 56 of my 60 years so clearly you with your extra 7 years are far more knowledgeable and intelligent than me. I wholeheartedly apologise for booing the team off yesterday (I wasn’t actually at the game but don’t let that spoli your need to insult me).
Thank you so much for your comment though. You sound a lovely person.
Look forward to seeing you at the Bloggers ‘do’. I assume you will be the one dressed head to toe in lime green accompanying Mr Porter. Or are you Antony Kay in disguise?
The ignorant John is back, can someone please get rid of his comments
Dear John,
I have reached the rip old of 63 and have supported the Wolves since 1857, 20years before they were founded in 1877 [a.k.a St Luke’s].
That is according to my abacus 159 years, which beats you 63 years as a supporter hands down!
I remember watching the really dull Wolves side of the 1717/1718 season, play a field of Turnip at home and draw 0-0.
We played 1-2-3-5; with the classic line up of:
No 1: Anon.
No 2: Anon.
No 3: Anon.
No 4: Anon.
No 5: Anon.
No 6: Anon.
No 7: Anon.
No 8: Anon.
No 9:Anon.
No 10: Anon.
No 11: Anon.
But even that mind numbing lot were more exciting to watch than the current team in Lime Green, sponsored by Shylock, Shylock and Shylock.
Now the question I would like to ask all you fellow Wolves Bloggers is:
Do I talk more “Bollocks” or does John?
Excellent.
I was going to go for a draw (0-0 obviously) but after 14 weeks of intense and incrediblly gruelling deliberation my block vote of 10 gazillion votes goes to lovely old lime green Johnny boy who, in between his job curdling milk for Cracker Barrell, talks far more billhooks than you.
P.S. Obama says that everyone should vote the same way or else they will unleash their secret weapons – the Kardashians – on us all.
John – Are you blind?
Why take offence?
The team need support but from the Owners as much as the fans.
Moxey and Morgan are making a mockery of the club.
Support it if you like, but don;t have a go at those who see it differently.
Agree with Bedford.
Thought we stood a decent chance when I saw the team sheet but I was proved wrong. I’m bemused by not putting McDonald on, surely it was worth giving him some time on the pitch?
Think my faith in Mr Jacket is fading fast, not saying much as wasn’t great to begin with.
Some drastic changes needed for next season, only worry there is it will involve Mr Moxey promptly cashing in by selling out best players yet again!!
Oh well can but hope things improve.
At least when Hoddle was in charge the games ended 1-1.. it’s gone beyond a joke now. One positive was the introduction of Jed Wallace. Imagine him and Jordan Graham on the flanks, with Dicko in the middle. If we could only get them all on the pitch at the same time. I suspect there will be calls for Jackett’s head long before that can happen.
They won’t be on the pitch together before next season, and in the case of Graham decemberish, but that’s what has been the main thing this season, let’s all judge KJ when he has ALL his players at his disposal.
I for one will not be walking out at the Wednesday game.
Its costing me a bleeding fortune to get over there and I intend to milk my suffering for all its worth!!!
The attendance will probably be that low the players will each get a program telling them who the supporters are and where they are sitting.
What is the point of having substitutes available if they dont get used?
The hamster was back on his wheel again yesterday, spinning around to no avail, totally unwilling to remove his blinkers and change the dynamic of the match by using more than one sub.
Only two more weeks to go and the final chapter will be finished in the book of the year,
“You Couldnt Make This Shit Up”
Problem is, its so mind-numbingly boring, no one will buy it.
Ho hum, still looking forward to seeing y’all in a few days.
And look at that, Mr Porter, a blog from me without a single expletive.
Must be losing my fuckin’ touch.
FO wb
HOW do you know it has been shitting? been to all 44 matches have we, I have and it’s not been all shitting, not far off but certainly not all.
Bloody tablet, shit ?
John, if you re read my post, I did not say we have been shit all season, I used the word shit instead of stuff, or plot, or any other thesaurus related word.
If you are going to slag me or any one else off, kindly do it properly.
You reckon most fans are fed up of the moaning.
I reckon your “most fans” is a club of two, you and porter.
I live 4000 miles away, and I can feel the underlying vibes of anger from here, listening, talking about and reading of the issues at the Mol.
To paraphrase an old adage,
All the fans cannot be all wrong all of the time.
If you have been watching Wolves for the hundred or so years you say you have, and haven’t seen anything as bad, then I might suggest your rose colored spex need a slight cleaning.
You may also notice I haven’t stooped, yet again, to actually hurling insults or telling you to fuck off down the road to the shit.
I don’t do that, but check out the subtle insertion of another, better use of the word shit.
Once again, I extend the hand of friendship and Wolves solidarity, and offer to buy you a pint of ale on the 7th.
Have a wonderful day.
FOwb
Clive your’e Shite, Shite.
If that’s all it takes to get a drink out of an American, I’ll have a double Vodka.
If that useless A hole KJ goes I’ll let you buy me two.
We do attract some wierd people to this site.
Clive, I’m 1500 miles closer than you, does that win anything?
Two games left. Can’t wait for the season end. A bit uneasy on what next season will bring though.
Just booked my room in A Parkview for Sat 7th, as I feel that it’s going to be a session!
News From the bloke that proves to be on the ball most times is, that Kenny is gone in two weeks. Two more weeks of shite, mindless kicking the ball skywards, backing out / off of tackles, no style of any sort, no skill within our team of first Div players, bland lifeless interviews skirting the truth and manipulating the fans, the cardboard cutout can be replaced by a real manager with passion and committment to the team, someone less spiteful (told you Hause wouldn’t play due to posting the new kit on line). Someone capable of telling these morons, your loosing guys now step up a gear, or we’re winning you don’t need to pass to Danny Batth, you know he will hoof it up in the air to an opposition player.
Please God, let the mole prove to be right again. (The realist)
Those were the days my friend,
We thought they’d never end
How feckin wrong were we….
http://twohundredpercent.net/fa-cup-arsenal-wolves-august-1973/
Dooooooooooooooog!!!!!!!!!!
Waggle. Fantastic.
We finally proved the old adage …..”we couldn’t score if we played all day” to be true.
Just over 6 hours of football and we haven’t scored …NEITHER DO WE LOOK LIKE WE WILL !!
The game became so boring that Mrs Twixfix started making out her shopping list !.
Without getting into any kind of dialogue with you John I just can’t see why you are so fixated to think that all is well at Wolves. …. It’s a frigging shambles with Jackett and Moxey driving the bus.
Why only use 1 sub ? … Why not give one of the kids another chance ? Why drop Hause for being a naughty boy ?
Common denominator is Jackett …. please Stuwolf let the mole be right… he (Jackett) is totally gaga….and does not deserve any more chances …. having injuries are an excuse for some of his latest decision making.
Roll on the Bloggers Ballbash …. pop in Kenny if you can …..
Why, when your team is so bereft in the final third, failing now to score at home for SIX hours, does the coach refuse to play our most creative player, someone he was using out of position for most of the season?
There is sadly, a very unpleasant streak in Mr Jackett which might be called spite or power mania, an indication perhaps of an underlying and dangerous insecurity. Macdonald is only the last of many to be frozen out. We all know the others. It happened at Millwall too.
This doesn’t only lead to dreadfully poor football but a group of players infected by the coach’s psychological flaws.
What a contrast with Warnock and what he has achieved, the irony being that he is the one often referred to as being ‘barmy’!
Stu
At least spell the word shit correctly, please
And I offered a pint of ale, not a double vodka.
Typical Scot, wanting something for nothing
You will get your vodka when you come visit, like you have been threatening to do for ages.
And talking of the shit, tomorrow is the only time I want to see them win, away at Spurs, to help Leicester win the Prem
But still, FO wb
Yet more of the same old rubbish. Why be surprised ?
Our marvelously inept excuse for a coach manages to plumb the depths every week. How are strikers supposed to be effective when the midfield are incapable of providing even just one penetrative pass throughout the game ?
Edwards is in because he is a Jacket favorite who he wants to get sufficient playing time to make the Welsh squad. Saville plays because he went through the Millwall reinvigorating experience. Henry is there because he has developed the art of running up and down on the spot and making it seem as he is fast. Allof us know that our best midfied is when Priced and McDonald play together. But Price is again the whipping boy, left out for no reason other than Jacket does`t seem to like him. McDonald has obviously been a naughty boy and offended the Almighty, probably by telling him just how useless he is, so he must serve his penance. What a load of sheer coaching incompetence.
At the back Iorfa and Hause looked good at Hull. So now Jacket drops Hause and pairs the useless DB with Iorfa. The same DB who is dreadfully slow and cumbersome, and whose only ability on the ball is to hoof it as as high and far as he can.
What a great time it is to be a Wolves supporter.
There’s quite a lot on here I disagree with, but Danny Batth is patently not useless!
He may not be a Perlo but bloody hell the guy puts his heart & soul into his game. He hit the bar yesterday with a header yesterday.
Also the performance was not all doom & gloom, we missed some great chances, Mason the biggest culprit. Could’ve won it easily.
It’s not been good this season but a tad more positivity from fans would help.
The Palace/Iorfa link is as disturbing as it is predictable.
Poor performances result in poor attendances and so lack of revenue.
Whatever one thinks of the shirt sponsorship clearly a large chunk of the fan base disapprove, won’t buy shirts and so lack of revenue.
The seemingly non-caring approach of the Board and lack of PR awareness result in disaffected fans and so lack of revenue.
So shortfall has to be made up.
Cue sale of Iorfa et al to do so.
I suspect all that we shall add to the kids will be more kids as the best kids get sold on. And who could blame them if the fan apathy is now being transmitted from the stands and onto the pitch.
Even if it isn’t the beginning of a downward spiral it certainly has that look about it.
The sad thing is: it’s just like three years ago… No hope, crap manager etc… Except it was even worse then cos we were heading for League 2.
Yet a year later we were all excited and positive – silverware, manager who had steadied the ship, KMac and Dicko (and Sako) leading us to the promised land almost…
All gone tits up in 22 months. No answers.
3 wins from 18…marvellous ..2 games to go and then we wait…Wait for a new owner and I’m still not sure about KJ..as in if he is allowed to stay..
I hope he goes …I can’t even listen to his post match or pre match comments ..he does seem though as if he is going through the motions..
I predicted a score draw as I thought we were worth one and realistically we could of scored say 3…it’s the style.. the tactics..the desire and playing for the shirt.. oh how I will be made up if Leicester win the PL..what an example of what can happen against the big club combines..
We could do the same with true ambition but NB.
– with a good manager..
That would be nice. Here’s hoping.
I truely truely hope Iorfa stays he could be the secret combination if Williamson does not make it but quite possibly he is waiting like we are …
for that new owner and manager ..
I dread to think what will happen if things stay the same and particularly re KJ – in fact in that case I definitely dare not think about it…
The following relates to a previous thread but I see that it could equally be applicable to this one.
An open letter to Kevin Porter. (And other Clive bashers).
Hi Kevin, I don’t know whether you’re reading this but I just thought I ought to say something in defence of the foul mouthed lout from Houston.
Not that he isn’t quite capable of defending himself but I like to think that I am adding an unbiased view to the discussion.
When I first discovered the Wolves Blog in 2012 I must admit that Clive’s contributions somewhat took me aback. I was never offended by anything he wrote but it was certainly pretty fruity compared with most contributions.
I just thought that, as long as he doesn’t aim his invective at me, I will take it with a pinch of salt and, if he does aim it at me, I am quite able to give as good as I get.
I, like you, would intervene if I heard someone shouting obscenities in a train carriage, but that’s because it is invading my space and impossible to ignore or avoid.
The written word is different. If you don’t want to read a passage of an otherwise good book, skip it.
If you don’t want to read the contributions of a particular blogger, ignore them. It’s easy enough, his ugly mug is difficult to miss.
Silly to miss the whole blog for the sake of one person.
And apart from that, there’s another Clive lurking under his rough exterior.
It’s reasonably common knowledge that I’ve been struggling for some months with my health and have received messages of support from many bloggers for which I am most grateful.
Clive has sent me no less than ten get well cards (it might be more I’m losing count) and has telephoned me on several occasions to pass on words of encouragement. Not bad for a man I’ve only met twice.
He was also delightful company at the two Bloggers’ Balls he has attended and during both weekends he hardly uttered an offensive word. Ask the PMDG’er.
Don’t judge the man just by what you’ve read.
We have our disagreements on here – it wouldn’t be half the blog it is without them.
But when all is said and done we should all be mates.
Let’s cut each other some slack, we’re all after the same thing.
A successful Wolverhampton Wanderers playing good, entertaining, football.
And hopefully we’ll raise a glass to that in a fortnight’s time.
Here here!!!
Very well said that man!
I might not agree with everyone’s viewpoint on here. But as you say DG, we’re all after the same thing at the end of the day.
And as much as I like Clive’s posts, I like yours as well my friend.
Take care
Well said Doog. Clive is one of us he is allowed to express himself in any way he sees fit. If you don’t like it ignore it.
Personally I think 99.9% of his comments are brilliant, the other 0.1% absolutly brilliant.
Clive’s a bit like Marmite – an acquired taste. As large as life and twice as natural I suspect under the hard surface a bit of a wind up merchant lurks. The world would be a bit bland and boring without the likes of Clive.
Keep on truckin’ Clive, (or should that be f******)
What is the matter with Hackett with 2 subs remaining on the bench ,what does he do,sweet FA.
I know 3 points wouldn’t of made much of a difference to our league position but maybe with a little bit of nous our coach would have thought fresh legs could have won us the game.
If Hacketts here next term he will take us down.
This seasons been mind numbing and so as the football, especially at home.
This has been worse than when Hoddle was in charge.
Numb.
You can not blame the fans for there apathy Hereford what do you expect from them after the way we have been treated a you want to direct your criticism at the directors box and the dug out.
Sounds like your on the pay roll, yeah it’s all the fans fault lack of investment selling our best players a manager who’s in denial and has lost the plot…..so what you saying we should be clapping and cheering all the way back to League One..!
It’s Hertford Willie but no biggy.
So maybe my comments were more ambiguous than I had intended, sorry for that.
To be honest, I was staying on the fence to some degree so as not to attract accusations of being unsupportive and negative.
So at the risk of that happening now I can confirm that that the way this club is being mismanaged is slowly dismembering my love of footy never mind the Wolves.
Never having run a football club myself one has a leave a little wiggle room in there so that others better informed than I can prove to me otherwise.
But on the surface at least what other conclusions can anyone draw from a an owner who has lost his bottle, an accountant who is just that and should not be fronting up a club in the first place and a hapless marketing and PR team.
Just for the record I signed the petition.
I’m as depressed about it as you, Willie.
Kevin Parker,
Now that’s how two adults talk to each other if they disagree with each others opinion.
If you knew Clive like we do you would truly be embarrassed by your post.
FOwb (apart from last night when they did the job for Leicester).
Thank you StuWolf….much appreciated.
But for injuries we’d have been alright. This seems to be a slightly popular theory going around at the moment and is used as a reason for giving Kenny Jackett at least another year in charge. I disagree. Here are some of my reasons:
1. Before we had any long term injuries we had won just one of our opening four League games.
2. Dicko got injured in match five having been dropped the week before following an alleged training ground bust-up with the manager who seemed to drop him out of petulance.
3. Afobe, our best player, became disenchanted at being played out of position in midfield or as a lone isolated striker with no support and being fed a diet of long hoofed balls for him to chase. He was also dropped by the manager.
4. Jordan Graham was not played despite us having not replaced Sako and was sent out on loan to League two and didn’t get a game with us until match 17 in late November.
5. Ikeme, our number one keeper and arguably one of our best players in the previous two seasons was unceremoniously dropped by the manager.
6. Our one and only experienced defender and the previous season’s Player of The Season was sold and not replaced with the manager saying we didn’t need him and had better young players.
7. Five months later our manager said we needed an experienced defender.
8. We signed an experienced defender in January on an 18 month contract – but he was already injured and injured so badly that he will miss the first 8 months of said contract (bad luck or bad judgement?)
9. We signed a Premier League winger on loan but the manager rarely played him preferring instead Wallace, Byrne or Henry. Said player was sent back in January as surplus to our requirements and as well as playing regularly for England U21’s is, under Jurgen Klopp, in line to play in a Europa League semi-final.
10. Our one and only creative central midfielder hasn’t kicked a ball for weeks – often not even making the bench – despite us clearly lacking any creativity. A bust-up with the manager is cited – more petulance?
11. On occasions we play the diminutive Le Fondre as a lone striker and hoof long balls up in the air for him to battle for.
12. We sold our only recognised left back and didn’t replace him and so had to play a right footed right back out of position at left back.
13. The manager persisted for weeks with playing Sigurdason as our lone striker – a player who hasn’t scored a goal for …..ever?……a player the manager had previously decided wasn’t good enough in League One.
14. The manager rarely uses all 3 substitutes, indeed if he uses 2 it is unusual – even when chasing a game at say 1-2 with a few minutes to go and with a striker and a winger on the bench the manager does nothing.
15. When opposing managers make changes that alter the course of the game tactically our manager stands like a statue and does nothing – how many times have points slipped away due to his inability to manage games?
Now I am sure that some of the above catalogue of disasters can be attributed to Messrs Morgan and Moxey. Unfortunately the manager has allowed himself to be viewed as a ‘yes man’ for the board by his words. However the rest of the above list are down 100% to the manager.
Now I love Wolves, always have done and always will. I drive 100 miles taking 2 hours to get to home games and go to as many away games as I can – I was at Preston though it wasn’t me who harangued Morgan. If you added up all the hours I have spent following Wolves it would amount to several years of my life. I hate it when we lose, hate it. I followed us down to thex4th Division in the 80’s when devotion and loyalty were in short supply. So it pains me to say anything negative about my Club. I detest people, and I know loads of them, who slag Wolves off.
However I believe Kenny Jackett has become a poor manager, out of his depth and lacking any tactical understanding or game management skills. In short I think he is a League One manager or a lower half Championship manager at best. Football has moved on and developed tactically but it seems our manager hasn’t. I don’t think he can as he doesn’t know how to.
I want more than that for MY Club. And John or anyone else who wants to abuse me with their petty bile and vitriol for saying what I think can go f**k themselves.
To misquote John Cleese in ‘The Life of Brian’:-
“Yes, but apart from those fifteen things, what have M, M and J ever done to cock up our season?”.
When you put it like that, I can’t really argue with any of your points.
You sound like a very fair and loyal fan to me.
Not at all the sort we want on this blog.
Bedford Wolves, Thanks for speaking your mind, and a fantastic post it is.
I for one is right with you on everything you’ve said.
Deep down every wolves fan know you’re right on the money, its just a pity more wolves fans who go to the matches and write what they truly see and what he’s doing or not doing.
Well done and well said.UTW.
Cheers johnok – much appreciated.
I am the Boss I dont need you I can drop you I can loan you out I can sell you I can just fuck you about so much you will probably get a season long injury see. Joe this area belongs to the Boss its my area its called the technical area i am the only one smart in this outfit you just keep the fuck out and stay on the bench see. They dont call me Hammy the Hammer for nothin see. Dont judge a book by its cover or jackett see.
“Were you pleased with the team’s performance?” asked the BBC WM reporter
“Yes” said Kenny.
Well Mr Jackett, you were the only one who was.
I just listened to Kenny’s post match interview – can’t believe the drivel that I heard – give me strength.
We should play 4-4-2 and have Price and McDonald in the centre of midfield and two up front.
That way if we continue to get half chances between the two of them that should add up to one goal.
Well its late on Sunday night out on the West Coast and I’ve just finished a rather depressing read of this Blog. Most depressing was Bedford’s brutal assessment of the 15 ways ( at least ) that dear Kenny the Hamster has messed up…and I can’t disagree with any of them. However showing him the Do One door isn’t likely to bring in a new Brian Clough to the rescue is it? If there are managers out there with talent why would they take the Wolves job ..at least until there is a new owner?
More depressing even is that I’m about to lose a ‘no lose’ bet. My life long friend ( we go back 0ver 50 years) is a Manure fan…his Dad was from Cheshire so I understand why. So each season we bet 20 quid on each team…I always manage to get him to agree that Manure will win PL for his 20 quid and he kindly lets me wager 20 that wolves will finish in top half,,,yes Top half of Championship! So last year I WON 40 quid…so he went double or quits for this season….same bet.
So of course Manure won’t be top but Wolves, now lying 14th , won’t even make top half without minor miracle…I mean WTF? The chance of me now getting my hands on last year’s winnings are slim to none. When I digest the fact that we are now stuck in the lower half of the swamp with even the most life long loyal blogger here bemoaning the embarrassment of the team and the club’s management….well as my American friends say ..that sucks.
Sorry, cant find reasons to be cheerful…hope the Bloggers at the Ball will come up with some
Apathy rules. O ……….

I had already had a few so I spent oat of my time with the wolves ladies who had obviously been told to put up with middle aged blokes drooling over them for at least two hours .. Anyway the point is jez moxey was giving plenty of his time to us individually and of cause I asked questions about the state of play with the proposed sale . The only thing he gave away was that sir Jack would be turning in his grave as the next owners of wolves fc would defiantly be foreign!
Up the wolves…
Oh and for what it’s worth .. I was impressed by Deslandes performance for such a young and inexperienced player also I liked the look of jed wallaces attacking play … Nice clean feet !
Congratulations to the fantastic London Wolves Supporters Club on their 50th anniversary. The devotion of these guys and girls is almost unbelievable. They are also really, really nice genuine people. I was a member myself as a lad from 1967 to about 1975 I think. Best wishes to all LWSC members especially you mate – oh and of course not forgetting my ‘hero’ from way back when, Dave Slape.
Missed posting a forecast for Rotherham as I was abroad. But, scouts honour, I was going to post 1-1. Call me deluded. 1-1 would have been a veritable goal-fest compared to recent results at the Mol. I can’t decide if 0-0 is better or worse than 1-1 but at least 0-0 is a clean sheet obviously, so maybe it’s better!
John Grayken (of Money Shop owner Lone Star) made his debut yesterday at number 20 in the Sunday Times UK Rich list. With a 4.4 billion fortune he could buy us with his loose change. It’s still only gossip. If we sell Iorfa that may indicate the Grayken rumour is false.
That’s nice Bedford .
That was a funny story with you and slapey and that guy in Israel for who he was drawing the goals as he had seen them and then posting them . Very funny . But what an excellent bloke he is !
According to the express and star, Jeremy Corbyn is a Wolves fan. He attended a party function in Wolvo on Saturday and went to the match. His verdict “it was dull”.
London Loyal, the London Wolves Supporters club is what this club used to be all about.
They gave this club some good PR on this rollercoaster ride to doom. Glad you were spoilt rotten, it makes up for all the Shit you guys get in the name of supporting your club.
You must have seemed like Manna from the Gods to the Wolves heirarchy.
Positivity at last.
The True Fans.
Spotted on the Northbank car park before the game having been refused admission at the gate, staff thought he was a tramp.
‘What chance have you got against a tie and a crest’. Happy birthday to Her Majesty. God Save The fuckin Queen. We mean it maaaaaaannn…..
Is it just me who’s been unable to connect to the site for a day or so? You don’t know what you miss until it’s gone. That could apply to Kenny.
As for the game, what’s to be said? Same old same old. I listened on the Player and since seen the highlights. Seemed to be a little more goalmouth action than in our recent efforts and perhaps we were a little unfortunate not to get that long sought-for goal a couple of times. But not good enough. Not by a long cheese.
Today I bought my ticket for the Wednesday game. South Bank for a change.Usually end up in the Billy Quiet but no missus this time so don’t need two seats together. Last time I came up I saw four goals, so maybe I’ll be an omen.
Really looking forward to renewing acquaintances with a few old friends at the PV post-match. There’s a bit of trepidation though. I fear I may be the only one there who doesn’t want to see Kenny booted into touch. No worries, I’ll wear my extra thick skin.
I wouldn’t worry about the Kenny Jackett thing (we’ll just make you sit quietly on your own in a corner and on a separate table) – I still think we should never have sacked Mick McCarthy and even think we might still be in the Money League now if we hadn’t and I bet there aren’t too many on here who would agree with that view! See you on the 7th.
You’re right Bedford. Even I wouldn’t agree with you on MM. He looked exhausted when I saw him on the tele’ back then.
As you say, see y’all on the 7th.
The Wolves Blog is back! Was getting a tad worried we had been shut down by Moxey. Or Morgan. Or Jackett. Or Mr Porter. Or John. Or Mary Whitehouse. Or Paul Whitehouse. I went to school with Paul Whitehouse.
I see Bob Laslett is being touted again as the new owner leading a consortium from India (hopefully not chicken farmers like at Blackburn). Anyone heard this?
Hold on to your hat Bedford, it’s all over the web, your spot on with your info. We wait and see then.
I went for a ticket for Sheff Wed today and I was told directly, we won’t have to worry about KJ in two weeks time. So Wolfstroker, you can come as you are now it will be academic.
If our rumours are true, there should be plenty of things to keep this blog redhot during close season.
One distressing Rumour was what’s your views on renaming the ground………
And so it begins..
I’d rather keep Morgan than change the name from Molineux. They’d have us playing in polka dots next.
My last visit to the golden palace was in fact a 2-1 win over the mighty (mighty unlucky not to nick it) Bristol City, and the winner was in the 95th minute.
I had the good sense to miss the four 0-0 draws, and not use my season ticket. Apparently our ceo thinks we should be grateful for what we get, clearly he doesn`t have the most basic understanding of what a football supporter wants from his team. For me its clear KJ, nice chap that he is, has reached the end of his time. Without any financial investment, next season could be even worse, and without any funds to secure new players coming in, unless of course more asset stripping is done, with our few talented players being sold off.
The club, the players need new leadership, they need a change, sometimes irrespective of the background with the owner wishing to sell, a different focus and outlook is required. Find a more dynamic personality to drive the players harder and demand more from them. Sorry KJ your time is up.
Family matters prevent me from attending the Owls game, and the bloggers ball. But with my early bird at home waiting for the summer changes so desperately needed, I salute all those at the Park View Hotel, and wish I was there for the annual lemoncello drinking competition. I wish you well and good luck to the Owls in the playoffs, just shows what can be done with an owner who has the balls to mean business with his football club. The last match of a wretched season, maybe Clive will at last get his 5-1.
That home goal v bristol c was 6 and a quarter hours ago. Even Geoffrey Boycott would have been close to a century in that time. Brian Clough once said it only takes a minute to score a goal. Unless you are at Molineux where it takes 375 and counting. The fact it has been like Siberia the last 3 games despite the fact we are only 4 days from May has only added to the misery. Still it could be worse. I saw a bloke walking his dog the other day. It had 2 back legs and 1 front leg which it hopped on as it went along. So i kind of felt sorry for it. Perhaps Moxey could sign it on loan and KJ can play it up front in a 4 3 2 1 formation. It’s got more chance of scoring than Siggy. Happy days. Roll on Nottingham on Saturday. We will be there at 10 25. Wolves have sold out of the allocation of 2000. WE ARE ALL BONKERS.. .. BUT WOLVES AY WE. AND FOWB !
The way the season has gone, to sell out our allocation is nothing short of absolutely brilliant. You would think that prospective owners would be scrambling to tap into that incredible support.
QUOTE, E&S HACKETT Blame me for Wolves Woes, How true, now its to late
Pretend you lot are a catholic priest, and I am in the confessional box.
“Forgive me Father, for I have sinned.”
“God is all forgiving, my son.
Pray tell me what was the nature of your sin?”
It’s too horrible to say, Father, it is the first time I’ve ever done anything as bad in my whole life.”
“It cant be that bad, my son.”
“It is Father, it is something I swore on Doog’s and Waggy’s and Frankie Munro’s graves I would never, ever do”
“Come on my son, I haven’t got all day, there are other sinners out there, who’s sins are surely much worse than yours”
“No Father, I was born and raised a good faithful, devout Wolves fan, and, and, and…………”
“Spit it out.”
” I, I, I,, …..cheered an Albion goal”
You blasphemous little shit, get out of my church and never darken these doors again. You will rot in hell for that one”
Yes, folks, I admit I was really pleased to see the shit score at Tottingham last night.
But the rider is, ONLY because I, like pretty much every real football fan, want to see Leicester complete their fairy tale run to the Prem title, and friggin’ good luck to them.
This is what can be achieved, greasel, with good planning, management, players and commitment.
Who’s to say we cant do it, given the above circumstances?
OH, and Morgan, greasel, Thelwell and the hamster gone, obviously.
Keep on spinning KJ, the mushrooms are growing.

Amen Clive. Me likewise

Sounds a cracking ‘do’ but unfortunately I will be unable to attend due to pre-existing commitments relating to the EU Referendum that day.
I have seen Steve Daley perform at the Wolves Former Players Association dinner last year and he was fabulous. Not surprised he won so many awards. I particularly liked his story about his Molineux debut against Southampton (the Mike Bailey pep-talk etc) and, from his time at Man City, arriving on the team bus at Old Trafford for his first Manchester derby (there is a pie involved!). Phil ‘Lofty’ Parkes also spoke at that ‘do’ and he also very amusing (Clive would appreciate his language!) with his tale about getting sent off against Albion after chinning Astle in 1967 a highlight.
I would urge anyone who can to go – you will have a great laugh.
Happened to turn on TalkRadio this afternoon just as presenter Adrian Durham was offering his passionate opinion on the Hillsborough inquest verdict; sort of put our moaning about Wolves into perspective for me.
A great many of us on this blog were regularly going to football matches in the 80s; makes you stop and think doesn’t it?

Well there, and I thought proper ale was a uniquely British institution.
Another day, another petition…dunno who put it up, but its surprisingly slow-moving.
http://www.thepetitionsite.com/en-gb/310/116/398/we-want-moxey-out/
Just signed it. As you say very slow at the moment which is a big surprise.
Signed it too! Roll it on.
Signed by me, I’ve put in for his job. I have all the qualifications required.
I’m a useless twat also.
Please pass it on and on and on.
Enough of all this doom and gloom.
I received a bit of good news today.
Moxey’s been sacked…. – No, not that good.
I had the result of a PET scan this morning and I was told that the nasty little bastard cancer that had been attached to my right tonsil is no more.
I have officially been declared a cancer free area.
I would like to take this opportunity of thanking all the bloggers who sent their support during the last few months, it has been much needed and appreciated.
On a slightly less happy note, I still can’t get alcohol down my neck without it taking the back of my throat off and if this has not improved by the time of the Bloggers’ BallBash I shall expect all who attend to respect my predicament and sup non alcoholic drinks all night.
No problem Eh?
Mr DOOGooder
What great news for you. A few months away from the affluence of incohol is a small price to pay for a clean bill of health.
Your wise (and often humorous) words when colleagues on this blog are getting their knickers in such a twist that their testicles are in danger of injury, are always welcome. Long may they continue.
And you’re another walking example of the efficacy of the NHS.
Best wishes.
Thanks for that mate.
Yes, the NHS have done me proud.
I shook the Oncologist’s hand as I was leaving and said “Thank you very much for making me feel like shit for four months” but I think she appreciated what I really meant.
Really great news.
Cheers Steppenwolfe.
Onwards and upwards.
Great news. Well done you.
Thanks DW.
Looks like I shall be blogging for some time yet.
Hey, some great news !!
Thanks Mike.
Let’s hope for more great news from Molineux.
Always enjoy your contributions Mr. Doog.
Glad to hear there will be many more to come.
Mr Doogooder
Wishing all the best wishes from the management at Wolves. Thank you for your undying defence of Mr Jackett, he too has gone through a bad time of late and your support helped him greatly.
All the best……
Jez the snake Moxey
Kenny the limp wrost
Some scroat from Money shop.
Thank you ‘Ballboysallowed’.
I hope you have long and happy careers in the pop industry.
Just signed the petition to get Moxey out. If you love the Wolves as I do you will do the same. Moxey, you’ve bled this once great club dry. If you have any ounce of decency, conscience or morals you will resign. Please go…
Doog. Your recent experience really does put a few 0-0 draws unto perspective. Well done on winning your own battle and doe worry I’ll av a few jars for you at Forest on Saturday. Oh and FOWB.
Good man yourself!
“Without the fans, football clubs would not survive”
Words from the commemoration service for ‘the 96’ – appropriate words that serve as a reminder to the Boards of all football clubs. A proud day to be a football supporter.
Big Willie Carr has signe. Good news Doog great achievement positive mental attitude I’ve been trying to master it for years………All the best
Cheers mate!
To quote somebody or other:-
“Behind every male positive mental attitude is a good woman”
Well – Guess I am ready. Smartcard uploaded with last match of season, Room in Parkview booked for night of the 7th as I intend to get shitfaced with many blogger mates, and “Special” T Shirt designed and ordered for all to gloat at!!!!!
Will see all those who can make it at on the 6th for a pint or two and on the 7th for a session!!!
I remember my uncle taking me to Wolves speedway, not impressed until I found out that they didn’t have any brakes on the bikes.
Strange league, when a team is successful they force them to get rid of the good riders.
This year it looks like Wolves have the beating of most of the teams and are doing well.
At least we may get a Wolves team at the top of the league which I didn’t think I would say this year.
