When the winter freeze sets in, you always hope that a game of football can warm the cockles.

There was no chance of that Saturday. Instead we were made to endure one of the most laborious outings in recent Molineux history.
For weeks we’ve been telling ourselves that this Wolves team are too good to go down.
Unfortunately, I think it’s time for us to collectively take our heads out of the sand and accept that there is a real chance we could spend the second half of the season attempting to stave off relegation.
As defeatist as that sounds, it’s hard to argue against when you consider just how bad the opposition were at the weekend.
With all due respect to the MK Dons, I can’t recall seeing a team worse than them for some time. Slicing an improbable number of passes out of play and failing to muster a meaningful attempt on goal until the final throes of the game, they were inept at best.
Unfortunately, we were only marginally better. Whilst we dominated possession and got plenty of balls into the box, we never really looked like scoring. And, with almost half of the season gone, that’s a real cause for concern.
Our cause isn’t being helped by Benik Afobe’s perplexing insistence on dropping deep. Whilst I appreciate he got a goal at Ipswich last week, his influence on the team has waned considerably.
He was so ineffective today that I was actually hoping Grant Holt would be bought on (If anyone can shed any light on why we’ve signed him then I’m all ears).
Admittedly, he was one of many players guilty of wastefulness today. The key difference between Afobe and the rest of our attacking contingent, however, is that we naturally expect so much more from a player who was attracting Premier League interest not too long ago. If he can’t turn his meandering form around soon then it’s hard to see where the goals are going to come from.
Questions must of course be asked of our manager, who is looking more beleaguered by the week. His decision to haul the impressive Jordan Graham off after an hour was as frustrating for both its predictably and lack of sense.
Kenny is beginning to resemble a manager bereft of ideas and, given the considerable amount of good he has done over his tenure, we can only hope that changes sooner rather than later.
There’s still plenty of time for our team of fledglings to put an end to this malaise but this result certainly raises doubts about their ability to do so.
Anything other than victory at Rotherham next week should not – and most likely will not – be tolerated.

I’ve got more pressing things on my mind at the moment than the state of the Wolves but it would be nice if they could put in a performance to raise the cloud of depression around Melksham and the Molineux.
I’m at a loss to know what to say really how a team can go so far backwards in the space of a few months.
If KJ is such a shit manager, his shitty management has done us OK for the last couple of seasons. Has he become shittier or what?
And why?
I know Sako was a big loss but there has to be more to it than that. I don’t think he was even on the bench at Palace was he? Is he injured or is he just regretting becoming a small fish in a slightly bigger pond than the one he’s left.
I said don’t talk to me about ponds!
Sako injured his hamstring at the home game against Sunderland the other week.
Yeah, he came on as a sub, and pulled his hamstring, and was subbed!!
Ha Ha
Should have warmed up better, instead of just warming the bench.
If he’d stayed with us he would at least have started some games!!
Yow reap wot yow sew!!!
Sadly a very accurate summary of the game.
MK Dons are a poor side. It may be that persistent fouling is part of their tradition, in their DNA. Something which they feel must be part of their game as long as they bear the name Dons. This combined with a referee with a more laissez than fair view of the difference between tackling and GBH made for a poor game. In particular, Jordan Graham suffered at the feet and hands of the MK Dons right back. MK Dons did not defend well, they gave the ball away, they were content to lump the ball up field, marked poorly at corners and still we could not score. In fact, if Ikeme had not made 2 brilliant saves MK Dons could have justified their anti-football style, as it was, it was the MK Dons fans singing at the end of the game. We could not score. A combination of poor final ball, poor finishing, and poor luck and sometimes you have to accept it’s not your day. Except if you’re a manager and you have 3 subs to try and change the game. It was hard to fathom the role of Afobe when La Fondre replaced Edwards. Was Afobe told to emulate Edwards by running all over the pitch and leave le petit La Fondre to plough his lonely furrow? MK Dons defenders easily outmuscled La Fondre. He needed more support. Ojo despite a lukewarm reception did pose some questions but MK Dons had the answer and brought him down.
Meanwhile le grand Grant Holt sat on the bench rehearsing for his role as Santa Claus at the team Christmas party. Ho Ho Ho.
I normally try not to be overly simplistic, but if Afobe had brought his shooting boots, we’d have won the last two home matches and maybe got something out of Boro/Brentford.
We were the better side against Burnley and MK Dons, albeit without creating a glut of clear chances. But the few we did create fell to the bloke whose paid to put them in the net and he hasn’t done that.
Everything else to my mind is secondary.

Sadly for us, I’m not too far off with this assessment. We are dire.
Well said, in the main I agree with you.
Was talking with a Wolves fan yesterday who hasn’t been able to get to a game for a long time due to family/new baby etc.
He said to me “How have we managed to go so far backwards in less than 12 months? Players that, 12 months ago, might not even get on the bench are now regulars and seemingly the first names on the team-sheet! How has this happened?”
I had no answer for him. He is right of course.
Our only possible salvation will come if new owners pitch up soon. Any news on the Reuben Brothers? Or anyone?
I wish that one day you would just tell it like it is Stu.
Stop sugar coating the pill.
If you think there’s something wrong with the club, just say it.
We can take it.
Sorry Doog,
Being rather cagey on here, don’t want to rock the boat or stir up muddy waters in someone’s pond. Jen de Wolf married me because of my tact and diplomacy. I really must be more assertive, I don’t know how I manage to get out of bed on my own let alone tie shoe laces.
Wishing you our very best over the Christmas period. Behind every good man there’s a even doogoodier woman, ( usually with a knife in her hand pushing him through things) so your’e sorted.
This assessment is absolutely spot on. I can only add that the manager is simply out of his depth. Same as at Millwall, he has gone as far as he can, hit the buffers and has no Plan B. His tactics and substitutions are continually mind blowingly stupid. The Dons are just a crap team, yet we were set up as if to defend against Barcelona in the belief that we would be in for a thrashing. When are we going to start a game at home believing that we should be able to win ?
Our inability to score was entirely predictable. Mr Jacket has been harping on about our very limited strike force, threatening on a regular basis to use the loan market. When we eventually did so, we visited the knackers yard and came up with a 35 year old has-been who had not started a game for over a year, and probably never will again. Obviously another “one for tomorrow ” ! ! This just about sums up the sheer incompetence being shown in the running of the club. A serious relegation struggle is something we should all now consider as being a reality.
I think we should see behind the result. Jackett said we did everything right except scoring. Ok the strikers had one day off, so what? Once again we played good football at Molineux. That’s what matters for me now. It’s also encouraging to register that J.Graham delivers solid performances. It would have been great if we could sign up Sako on loan, if he’s fallen out of favor at his new club.
I went off on one big time back in September when the transfer window closed. Yet again we had failed to bring in any addition of note, just as has been the case in previous transfer windows. This failure to strengthen probably cost us a play off play and possibly promotion last year. What has happened on the pitch since that September transfer window has been entirely predictable – sustained mediocrity at best. You could have expected little else given our level of investment. Brighton recently brought in Wilson from Man U, we brought in Holt from Wigan, (and don’t play him). I feel that sums up the ambitions of our club. Our season was over in September. All that is left to hope for now is that we avoid relegation and get a new owner as quickly as possible.
Wilson “chose” to go to Brighton, he could have come to us + other’s, his words!
John Davies..
As they say in life, Shit sticks, I’d think twice underthis set up.
So we were in for him were we? AFTER we had already brought in ALF and Holt???? Yeah right.
Even if we had been in for Wilson, you state categorically that he “chose” to go to Brighton. Why do you think that would have been JD? Something to do with ambition perhaps??
Tis sad indeed….
I think both Danny and Stu sum up the impression I received of the game.
There seems a lethargy.
If the owner doesn’t care, why should anyone else?
As for K.J., a weak man, his reddened cheeks and hollow eyes, telling another story to his words.
We are losing and relegation threatens, unless we get a heart transplant….
As I have stated many times before, the record books never show how well we played, nor how dominant we were, or how crap the opposition was.
Just the result.
And that is ALL that matters.
The results.
Our fortunes are inexoriably tied to them.
Our results are crap and no matter how the statistics are spun, they will remain crap until there is a huge shake up from top to bottom.
Rumours of a new owner are being banded about, together with speculation of KJ moving on.
If those changes happen, lets hope it gives the players the kick up the arse they deserve, and results improve, otherwise, and have no doubt about this, we are in for a very long relegation fight.
Rotherham, that hotbed of footballing history, awaits, and we are underdogs, for fucks sake!!
We need to change our theme song from ” I, Owe, Wolveramptun” to “We’re on the Road to Nowhere”
FOwb
For some peoples it’s the only thing that’s matter, yes. In most cases I believe results mirrors the performances. If you ask the Man U fans if the want to change manager, I actually believe they would probably answer yes, despite good results. I also remember Arsenal as “boring Arsenal” under Graham, but that’s history, right?
We have a very young and promising team. I’m as disappointed as everyone else, because it was expected that we should fight for promotion. I would however rather focus on the positive development since Williamson arrived. We need another striker who can share the goalscoring responsibility with Afobe. Then I actually think we might arrive. The gap up to the last playoff spots are 7 points, which is within our grasp.
Traditionally we’ve done better in last half of the season under Jackett, and I would like to believe that it’s the case this season also. One new striker, or spending money from a possible Afobe departure on 2 or 3 new signings could serve our purpose and bring us into the playoffs.
Yes would agree with the level of disappointment on here, but there are definitely no relegation worries surely with several very poor teams like MK below us?
I thought Graham came off due to a tight hamstring I read that on another forum. His performance was a big plus. The defence was excellent, Batth & Iron Mike doing little wrong other than going for the same ball in the 2nd half when a goal for us looked likely.
The missed chances were awful, how Henry could skew his right foot shot wide along the ground is beyond me. How he regularly messes up the final cross deeply frustrating.
Afobe’s best chance for me was 1st half when with his back to goal & the net gaping just a few yards away he put it over the bar. That’s our play off dreams over.
KJ rumoured for QPR, & no owner although Morgan’s Redrow gleams out at us, advertising his spacious homes on the Poundland version of a video screen we’ve got at the Golden Palace.
It ain’t great, but give or take missed chances we are not a bad or mediocre side by any stretch.
With our present performance level, there soon will not be several, if any, poor teams below us.
We are beating them soundly on a regular basis exactly how often???
This os a quote from RVLP to the “Vital BHA”
The fecking gaul of the bloke, what a tit.
Of course he was asked the inevitable ‘what are you like as a player’ question.
‘I have a lot of pace. I like the one-v-one situations. I am player that likes to attack the defenders and I have good crossing ability. I am a creative player and I think I can bring something extra to the team. I am looking forward to playing my games and doing very well for the club.’

Doom and gloom! I have been going to the mol for 62years of my 66 yrs and I mean going and have seen it all before, shit first half of the season great second half and visa versa, has for promotion – maybe, but unless we get a new owner do we really want it?
Like it or not I believe we will have to wait another couple of seasons to see the youth of the club shine, and then push for the corrupt league.
I see our under 18s thrashed an Everton u18s 8.0 away, only their second defeat all season, as for us lot we have to keep plugging away and support the club/lads.
I’ve just seen the highlights of the under 18s at Everton.
A lot of skill on show and some belting goals.
That’s cheered me up a bit!
I have not seen any of the game only know what was put out in the media. Barn door and could not hit seems to be the main topic.
We are normally shite in November so nothing different this season.
Afobe needs someone up front to help him. Let’s go 4-4-2 and put Holt up there.
Over and Out
That’s not a bad idea. Edwards behind Afobe clearly isn’t working so why not employ Holt as the target man with Afobe hopefully picking up the pieces. That strategy depends on wide players who can accurately cross a ball…..ok maybe not!
I don’t really want Jackett to go but tactically he is very one dimensional. When things are not working he struggles to find an effective plan B. He should be getting a lot more out of this squad of players. Lose on Saturday and we are in trouble.
Honley,
Your criticism of KJ could easily have been of Mick McCarthy – one dimensional indeed!
Yes we have the right to moan when we cannot beat a very poor, and a very likely relegation side, but pleeeaaaaaaaasssssseeeee get a sense of perspective. Jackett does not become a poor manager overnight, to ask for his removal is ridiculous and would put us back to the aftermath of McCarthy’s departure. Presumably the same doom and gloom merchants that vocally forced Morgan’s hand. Now we are left with no chance of buying any new players and will have to rely on the loan market. I have already written this season off as mid-table mediocrity.
However, and a big HOWEVER, as lifelong ticket -paying fans we deserve answers.
First and foremost amongst those is what the hell is happening with our scouting and transfer policy. Who on earth sanctioned the influx of very average midfielders this summer and the insensible sale of Richard Stearman and why? ANSWER PLEASE.
Groomed for centre back EBL and KH both not yet up to the job -sell Stearman????
Sako departure – bring in Ojo, when Jordan Graham has already shown himself a better player???
Leave out Price (would be first pick in my team sheet) – bring in Coady???
Saville/Rowe etc- absolutely pointless??? Byrne deserves a further look at, if just for back-up.
The injury to Dicko was unforeseen – but there must have been backup plans in operation.
Le Fondre and Benik could make a good pairing IF both played as strikers and not as midfielders. No point in having Holt if he doesn’t get game time, I would prefer to see Bright get a run-out.
So in the January market will we keep Willamson (essential) Le Fondre ( pretty essential) or bring in another 5 average midfielders – your guess is as good as mine?
PLEASE NOTE…. NO ONE FORCED MORGAN OUT, HE”S HAD IT ALL WORKED OUT FROM THE START TO WHATEVER THE FINISH WILL BE….. however , removing kenny without a better option in place would be suicide. If a better manager was availible i would sack him tomorrow as its obvious he has hit his ceiling. BUT, although driving us to despair he will keep us in this division which im sorry to say is all we can hope for at the moment
Promotion my arse. We need an injection of players and cash, I’m one year younger than John Davies and was 5 years old when I attended my first match, so there ain’t nothing going to happen that we have all not seen before.
Now an open question for all to have a think about before answering:::: Do we want a rich owner or owners who will invest in what needs to be done? Too bloody right we do, I M O.
One final question:::: How many of the top ten side in the prem would be there without foreign players and that big fat sugar daddy to pay the bills?
The only thing more underwhelming than the game itself were those chips you had at half time Ben Rasmin ????. Good summary, it really is hard to think of a team coming to molineux that were as bad as MK Dons and not being able to put them away at home really is a worry.
Nothing tangible to add – Saturday really was the pants. Until the club is in the hands of new owners then I guess we will continue to muddle along with no direction or new initiatives. This does not excuse some of the selections, formations and substitutions which, like others, I find quite baffling at times. Like other supporters from this area I am just getting a little peed off with a 200 miles round trip to watch what is tantamount to garbage. We have become too predictable and too boring watched in near silence by 19,000 remaining fans.
Interesting to trawl through the records with nowt else to do or discuss
End of November over the years:
November 27th 1971 – beat Albion 3-2 away (top flight) 36,228. Scorers McCalliog, Richards, Wagstaffe. (In those days beating our nearest and dearest was a right of passage).
November 25th 1967 – lost to Liverpool away 2-1 (top flight) 43,885. Scorer Evans
November 27th 1954 – drew at Arsenal away 1-1 (top flight) 55,055. Scorer Hancocks
November 26th 1949 – drew with Liverpool home 1-1 (top flight) 52,509. Scorer Wilshaw
And at the other end of the scale…….
November 24th 1986 – lost to Chorley 3-0 at Burnden Park (FA Cup second replay). I was one of the 45,000 Wolves fans who attended that game. Official attendance was 5,421..
November 30th 1985 – drew with Cardiff away (division 3) 1-1 2,453. Scorer King
November 28th 1987 – lost to Wrexham home (division 4) 2-0 8,541.
I remember after this game booking up with Whittles coaches for a trip the following week to Hartlepool – surely the coldest football ground in the universe. We drew 0 0 (Bull did not play. No Bull – no goals). The “attendance” was 2,760 including 600 Wolves fans. Even the hot chocolate in the thermos froze… My missus really did think I had lost the plot.
Just thought I would add these games from the other end of the football league. Things are not good at Molineux these days and it frustrates the hell out of me but 30 years ago they truly awful….
Bedfordshire Old Gold,
Are you part of Dave’s (Bedford Wolf) Mafia???
Hi StuWolf,
Yes – spot on Stu – I am the sober element of Dave’s Bedford Wolves mob. It was painful to witness the alcohol fuelled antics of my fellow fans at such places as Chelsea, Birmingham, Forest, Preston, Wigan et al when being stone cold sober……
He suggested logging onto the site and writing some nonsense after writing nonsense for a number of years on another Wolves (email) blog coordinated by the steward in area W2 Billy Quiet Upper where my season ticket is located.
I moved to Bedford from the Midlands around 4 years or so ago for family reasons (grand children on ‘er indoors side) and I was amazed to find quite a number of Wolves supporters in the area. Including those from Biggleswade, Flitwick, Milton Earnest and so on we are aware of approximately 25 in the district – with about 16 or so in Bedford. We also have honorary members in Woodsetton near Wolverhampton (Sarah) and Dunstable (my nephew also known as Dave but answers to “Notts County”).
Some are season ticket holders, some attend occasionally and some are now armchair supporters. Less than half a mile away from where I am sitting is located a bungalow with a huge Wolves emblem on the side gates. Apparently the owner used to travel to Wolves games but ill health (his not Wolves) prevents him from travelling any more.
One of our Wolves mates – Rhys – knows of a local guy who used to travel to Wolves games but after suffering a heart attack he is too afraid of another. Good call really as watching that turgid crap is sure to generate the same symptoms…..
Two Bedford Wolves followers proudly display Wolves flags hoisted on high poles in their front gardens. Just after moving here in the summer of 2011, I was out cycling early one Sunday morning and spotted a “Pride Of The Black Country” Wolves flag fluttering in the breeze in a small village called Carlton about 8 miles out of Bedford. I was simply amazed. It turned out both husband and wife are in their 70’s, season ticket holders at Molineux and attend virtually every home game. Neither has or had any connection with Wolverhampton. The other flag is owned by Tim – the son of Salt the Butcher who used to own shops in and around Wolverhampton. (Some of the more elderly contributors to this site may remember the butchers shops in Penn and the centre of town). Tim moved here about 25 years ago but has maintained his allegiance to the cause and has a season ticket in the Billy Quiet. Another crackpot.
We generally travel to away games by train although I did drive to Ipswich last week with Dave and Rhys on board due to the extortionate cost of a return ticket by train – £63.50.
If sufficient numbers want to travel to a specific game a mini bus has been hired in the past and for the “10k to MK” fixture we actually managed to virtually fill a coach.
In a mad, juvenile moment about 18 months ago I contacted Barmy Flags (yes really) in Lancashire and ordered a Bedford Wolves flag which cost – wait for it – £140. I have managed to avoid telling my missus about this act of financial lunacy.
So that’s it really, I became a member of Dave’s tribe aka Bedford Wolves and just about manage to keep them in order on the away trips…
If you believe that Stu….
BOG.
It’s got to be that hasn’t it, Dave has painted the target on your back for ever. Welcome to the blog, I know who you are as you told me the flag story at Bully’s gaff the night you guys gave me that generous donation for the DSA. Going back to your story, if your’e out cycling again ask the guy with the ill health if I can have his gates 🙂 , joking honestly, ( tell me where they are and me and the boys will come round and nick em).
Here’s a poser for you local guys, when I ran my charity I used to fly out of Luton a lot, on the way out of the airport on our return trip, over on the left hand side as you get to the first roundabout was a private jet behind the fence. This jet had the Wolves Wolf head on the tail of the plane about 4ft square. It has always intrigued me as to it’s owner.
Thanks for joiming us, some great info and it drew a lot of likes so others enjoyed it too, so I hope it will be both you and Dave contributing in the future.
I am at Charlton so hope to buy you both a drink there. (You and I will have coffee).
Stu 🙂
StuWolf,
Not sure who the plane belongs to…it ain’t mine – this is on the apron at Halfpenny Green.
Regret I cannot make The Valley but no doubt we can have a coffee at some other away trip. As I am driving to the Molineux Boxing Day fixture v Reading (5.30 kick off – its just lunacy) disappearing all day for another football match just a couple of days later will create, shall we say “an air of disharmony” at Chez BOG.
However Dave is doing the reverse I believe – missing Reading and going to Charlton.
As I am “allowed” six away games a season on the basis ‘er indoors opines every home game is an away game – which I suppose in effect it is – the next away match I am hoping to attend is QPR on January 23rd January which we can access quite easy from Bedford by train into St Pancras and underground to Shepherds Bush.
On another matter it just had to happen didn’t it – 4 days into December and I had managed to avoid it. Then it happened at approximately 11.10 in Tesco this morning – the dulcet tones of Noddy Holder blasting over the PA system. Yes folks Wolverhampton’s very own Slade “entertaining” the good folk of Bedford with a million renditions between now and December 25th.
I am amazed the shop assistants are not brain dead after 3 weeks or so of Slade, Wizard, Wings, Wham, Bing, Cliff, Pogues, Dean, Frank etc etc. Roll on Spring I say.
Bah humbug – you bet! (Not that I really mean that with two little grandchildren already eyes sparkling with excitement).
Three points tomorrow would be the perfect pre Christmas tonic. And Oh boy do we need ’em.
Coming soon… Football Philosophical sayings – Part 1.
Welcome Bedfordshire Old Gold. Did you realise your initials on here are BOG? As in Bog-off?
Good afternoon all. I hope all is well! I am posting my apologies to say I won’t be able to make the FP meeting tomorrow. I am really, really sorry about this, particularly when you took the time out to send me some questions.
A two-day conference has reared its ugly head and I can’t bodyswerve it, sadly. I do apologise.
I believe that your questions will be posed in one way or another tomorrow night, but because of work I will not be able to take notes or ask them in person.
I am gutted about this as it was one meeting I was desperate to attend, with so many things up in the air.
As an aside, I missed my first Wolves home game through choice (not necessity) in probably 20 years on Saturday.
My boy had some Tudor themed homework to do and it was the Medieval Festival in Ludlow, so I thought I’d help him, and see my family at the same time.
The saddest bit of this is I didn’t miss a thing about Molineux, barring Twixfix, Tel and my other comrades in the Billy Wright upper. And the Tudor thing was a washout anyway. We didn’t end up going! (just had some lunch with my Gran)
This is the worry…When you lose fans, it is so, so tough to stem the tide and lure them back.
Being honest now, I wouldn’t miss anything about Wolves if I never went again, barring my extended family around me and the 23 guaranteed dates in the diary to spend time with Dad.
Not under this ‘ghost regime’, where nobody appears to have any inclination, or ideas, upon how we can progress as a club. Call me melodramatic but I feel the club is dying, with this latest unfathomable failure – seemingly unique to our club – too unpalatable to swallow.
At least in the last League One foray we had a plan. i.e. to get back up immediately and kept Sako and brought others in to do so.
If we went down again, would we even be able to attract a James Henry from Millwall or a McDonald from Sheffield United?
I will doubtless read John Wolf and others stating that they have been going down for 60odd years and to keep your chin up. Tough times / tough people and all that.
God bless John / any of you for doing this. It is a level of support that the current regime simply does not deserve.
You’re better fans than me because, at present, I can’t bear the thought of an Early Bird ticket, let alone pay £500 + for it. Not like this.
Bloody Hell Ben!
If you haven’t got the Wolves to let off steam at or have a good rant about, I pity your wife on a Saturday afternoon.
Seriously though, chin up mate. We’ve had good times, we’ve had bad times and we’ve had times when it all seems like a pile of poo and not worth carrying on…
…But it is worth carrying on. Believe me.
Hi Ben,
I know it is now short notice, but is it not possible for someone else to take your place and submit the list of questions we supplied?
Ben, I agree 100% with you.
Ben, I feel exactly the same. There was a time when, as a teenager and young adult, I’d sulk all weekend if Wolves lost, but those days are well and truly gone. Today, I can barely muster a shrug let alone lose my temper when the team suffer yet another defeat.
Steve Morgan and Jez Moxey have ripped the heart out of this wonderful club and fans like me, who have loved it unequivocally for years, have nothing left to give.
On another note, all you music loving bloggers of a certain age will probably like to join me in remembering the nicest Beatle:- My Sweet George.
Died, November 29th 2001.
God! That man wrote some great songs.
You’re asking me will my love grow? I don’t know (Doog) I, don’t, know!
Ben,
Stick around and it may grow, it may grow. But I don’t know
Is it true that our recruitment scouts simply go on a magical mystery tour?
Unfortunately, they don’t produce anyone magic, and most things emanating (good word that, for me at any rate) from the golden palace seem to be a mystery.
It’s fairly obvious that if we could of taken most of our chances this season we would be at the top but this season and Saturday’s goal scoring misses just epitomises
our current team and managers performances..
But when we do get a result, is it the players individually ?or is it some tactical team worked wonder change or pure managerial motivation and training?
I think you know what I am getting at..
The players have been carrying KJ particularly last season and in Div. I
…last season if KJ did a perplexing team change or choice.. players like Sako got him out of the Woods…or Dicko / Afobe..
This season has been disastrous with crazy decisions.. the MMs have let KJ hang himself which he is duly doing.(or done )’…it didn’t help refusing to buy a defender until it was too late either ..
‘No I think we are fine in that area’ yeah like EBL..Total Blindness..
I harped on re a certain new Sunderland manager but just see what analysis and knowledge can do..
KJ to QPR…is this the clue to a new era ? It could well be..
Where o where are the new owners..?
Back to the dreadful result ….We should of won 3-0.
Good afternoon Steve
It has come to my notice that every time you post on the blog you have a dig at KJ and how crap he was, is and ever shall be.
Fair enough.
But constructive criticism is only constructive, in my opinion anyway, if it includes an alternative or solution to the situation that is being criticised.
Ergo, you sack Kenny and then get in your favoured manager who will immediately see us transformed into Worldbeaters (or at least MK Don beaters).
What I’m saying is, it’s all very well slagging the poor bugger off but who do you suggest would replace him?
And before you come up with your shortlist of names take into consideration the state of the club, the lack of positive owner input, the penny pinching CEO, the lack of enough quality players in squad and the price of a pint of beer.
In words of one syllable:- Which poor sod who is worth his salt would want to come here?
It isn’t obviously as simple as that although Big Sam would of been perfect and is now changing things rapidly at Sunderland…
It depends on the owners how much money we have to spend what wages we pay and incidently what wages we pay the manager..
I really am not the only one who scratched his head at KJ the main comment often is ‘Why’..why change a stable team when players are playing well ..why play wrong defenders ..why have faith in players who give the game away ..why can’t players be motivated ..
Comments of ‘ he’s lost the players confidence etc etc I’m not the only one here..
Your point who replaces him to me is directly relative to who are the owners as in who we could afford..
My thoughts are to the new owners era
– hopefully soon..
Wasn’t Syllable Basil Fawlty’s wife?
DOOGooder – I completely agree. It’s a bit like deciding to bomb Syria without working out your exit strategy. Sack MM without Plan B – get Clipboard. Sack Solbakken without Plan B – get Saunders. At least when Liverpool fired Rodgers they had Klopp warming up the toast.
Despite fans’ frustration right now is the barking time to get rid of KJ. Moxey in charge of appointing the next Manager?? Nurse, nurse, the drugs please.
Everybody knows, with the state of the club’s ‘ownership’, talk of KJ going is ridiculous.
Who, would come and work, as a manager, under such conditions?
On the other hand, I’d hope, like others, that if and when we get new owners, their idea of a good manager, is not K.J., so they sack him.
Jackett lacks confidence. That seems apparent if the reports of the MK Dons match are correct. He’s setting out his stall not to lose. No team, no matter how lowly placed, need fear losing to us. They are working Kenny out. I suppose if we average a point a game, we stay up. This is beginning to feel like Millwall towards the end of Kenny’s reign there. I can’t see QPR being impressed with Kenny’s record this season.
I can only hope that somebody wants to buy us…
Just when we thought it could’nt get any worse, The Newcastle fans are sitting up and taking notice of a certain defender having a career revival down at the Dingle cave.
This blokes starting a campaign that could really leave us with EBL as one of KJ’s options.
Oh woe is me, pass me a sharp razor blade, he cried bearing his wrists.
http://www.themag.co.uk/2015/11/i-never-thought-id-utter-these-words-but/?
In the current climate I can’t think of anything worse than Williamson being replaced by EBL
he’s virtually captain material..
It would be like a sentence …
Who was that boring twat going on and on about us failing to score and that it could stop us climbing the league ……?
Steve.
I think youv’e just intimated every blogger on this site in one sentence.
Stirred the pot eh..?prey tell which sentence..
Steve,
Can’t be you mate, your’e far from feckin boring.
Everbody at one point or other this season has whinged about the inability to score costing us points, thus preventing us being in a better position than we find ourselves in as a result of Saturdays failure to score against what has to be the worst team to date.
Pot being stirred, pond being stirred, the only thing not being stirred this week is the feckin team.
Christ Brimpto is that aimed at me?
Who the fek is Brimpto?
No mate – I was suggesting it was me. I have been banging on about us failing to score for ages. I only come back to you when you harp on about the defence, but you have been quiet of late lol.
Frustratingly disappointing result. How can we create 20% of the chances against Ipswich and score two then nothing goes in for us against MK? It’s a funny old game, football, but becoming decidedly less funny with every passing game in this underwhelming season.
I’m still a pro-Kenny man, but not for the first time found his substitution decisions a ‘little’ strange. This time, Jordan Graham. Tight hamstring they say, but we’ve had a few convenient injuries like that this season. He looked to be moving better than most.
As for new owners. I agree we need someone sooner rather than later, but there’s an awful lot of clubs for sale at the minute, and precious few prospective owners willing to put their money where their mouth is.
Let’s just hope our slowly sinking ship can be saved from disappearing into the chilly waters of another depressing relegation battle.
Thanks for the feedback all, appreciated as always. Wish this post could have taken a more positive tone but, for all the chances we created, couldn’t find many crumbs of comfort in a result as bad as this. I should note, however, that I remain a fan of KJ. He may have contributed to the failings of this season (so far) but he’s not the primary architect of them – that would be our disinterested chairman and penny pinching chief executive. I’ve always tried to defend Morgan and Moxey but can’t forgive the way they’ve treated us fans this season. To say their ambition is promotion when investment has been so scarce is insulting. They really must think we’re stupid.
On the positive side of things, I agree that there are poorer teams than us in the division. We just need to settle on a consistent attacking formula – ideally one that involves our best striker getting into the opposition’s box!
Hope to have something positive to write about after the Forest game. For now, UTW.
As I said in my pre match blog Jackett for me is partly…….well no more than partly to blame for our current predicament and if there was a reasonable candidate out there I would be calling for change because we keep hearing the same old excuses pre match interviews and pot match interviews from Jackett.
He said that by this point in the season we would have an idea where the seasons going…well Kenny it going down the pan game by game just like your estimation in my eyes.
The team looks as is totally be riffed of ideas confidence and understanding of what you want from them your sending different messages game after game pulling players off when they are doing well and your tactics are basic and predicable.
I really do think you have lost belief in your self and trust in the players and its killing us.
I have always been firmly in Kenny’s corner but we’re a club going nowhere. How much longer can it be acceptable for us to be 15th with a sudden upturn in form apparently just around the corner? MK Dons and Rotherham was a must six points and we’ve already failed in that. Where I felt we went wrong was playing one up top against woeful opposition. They were there for the taking, Le Fondre should have started with Afobe. I love McDonald and Price but they don’t get forward so there is hardly anyone getting on the end of crosses. The poor quality of this league is evident as we are still just seven points behind Blues. At least there might be a game with Villa to look forward to next year – if we stay up.
OK bloggers ,,,, here’s the Xmas puzzler.
What have Coady, Wallace, Saville, Rowe, Holt, Byrne, Le Fondre, Van La Parra, Deslandes, Ojo, ….
ALL of them have been signed to improve the Team YET NONE of them play a full 90 mins.
In fact some of them have already been moved on … so feckin good they were!!!
If ever Moxey spouts that we signed Wallace AND Coady to replace SAKO again THEN I SHALL RAM HIS PIES BACK DOWN HIS BIG FAT THROAT.
As for THELWELL …. the Key Performance Indicators for him are negative on all counts … In business he would have been SACKED months ago.
But still our Leaderless Board of Directors know all this.
Oh lastly……. Have I missed any players out ? If I have they weren’t at the forefront of my theme … which says a lot about their impact !!
(I like Cheesey of Dth analogy of 28% win rate versus a reqd win rate of 65% … sounds like an impossible dream )
You can kiss 2016/17 off if these performances continue.
adding the question ….GOT IN COMMON ?
Doesn’t make me feel any better to see that Bolton have won 1 of 17 (likely to be 1 of 18 tonight). Guess who? Preston have won only 1 of 9 at home. Nearly 2. Guess who? Feels like WWFC are drifting along waiting for a new owner. A suffocating vacuum surrounds us. I was gonna get a ticket for Rotherham away but just can’t be bothered.
If as fans we think the management of the club is in disarray, lacks ambition and is drifting aimlessly what do you think the players think? I know the game is awash with money but I think most players recognise their careers are fairly short and therefore want to maximise their achievements in the game not just their salaries. If I was a betting man I’d say a number of our players right now will be wondering where we are going and that is a very dangerous mindset. It creates lack of focus, lack of drive and erodes that all essential collective team desire. In football , clubs never standstill they are either going forwards and building up a head of steam or gathering pace as they roll backwards down the hill. Once again, you only need to look upwards to moxey, our erstwhile owner and impotent board. Until all of that changes, you can change the manager, change the players, change the formation and we will still be pissing in the wind I’m afraid.
Love this one….
“Why is it every time Moxey gets stabbed in the back, the knife has his prints on it”
🙂
You reap what you sow you fat bathplug.
Can you believe it?
My computer has just started randomly singing “Someone Like You”
Must be because it is a Dell.
My wife texted me one winter morning
Wife: “Windows frozen, won’t open up.”
Me: “Gently pour lukewarm water over them and tap the edges with a hammer.”
Wife, 5 minutes later: “Computer really fucked up now!”
That’s funny, my wife texted me too.
PMDG’er: Windows frozen, won’t open up.
ME: They’re not frozen, they’re locked. I’ve already told you that all you have to do is apologise and say that I was right all along and I’ll let you back in the house.
Statement of the problem, in the form of a question: “What is Wolves’ style of play?”
The answer, I believe, is that they don’t have one .. or at least not a style or a strategy that is going to consistently stop goals at one end, while being able to transition and create goal scoring opportunities at the other end. The visual gulf between Wolves and even the bottom of the Premier League teams, which they aspire too, is so enormous and obvious .. it makes a mockery of the claims the Club makes, in terms of wanting to be a contender at season-end.
Jackett had what it takes to bring Wolves up from League One .. hardly a claim to fame, given what he was gifted to work with. But now back in the Championship, Wolves are a rudderless ship with engine failure .. and the best Captain Kenny can do is to berate the troops and deal with the problem as a disciplinary issue ..
WWFC doesn’t have the players, and doesn’t have the manager to get back into the Premiere League anytime soon .. simple as that .. Hopefully a new owner will usher in a new wind of change .. whoever and whenever that might be ..
Just in reply to Clive’s post above about the several teams worse than Wolves.
I’ve seen us in every home game bar Charlton, & 2 away games both of which we won, Blues & Blackburn. I don’t think any team has really looked light years ahead of us & we held our own against Middlesborough until Hause was injured. Also we were better than Burnley.
The only side who stuffed us were Derby. We murdered Fulham, Huddersfield, & beat Blues away convincingly.
Sides like MK, Bolton, Huddersfield, Preston, Charlton are not as good as Wolves.
On Saturday we just lacked that key quality to win games. We lack in the wide areas & a goal scoring, creative foil for Afobe.
It’s criminal that our vision less board & talent spotters have not delivered on getting those players in for us.
But I still maintain we are not a shite side. It’s the board who lack ambition, & that means we get a middle of the road season, which could get a lot worse if KJ goes to QPR. That will then put us at risk of even finishing above the likes of MK Dons who really like several of the teams below us offer a cushion against relegation. I hope!
Just received a message from my mate at Wolves.
******Mike Williamson is being recalled by Newcastle.*******
Now we shall see how good these other guys are.
Oh Feck, I told you so ladt night.
Which brings into focus just how fc*k*ng stupid the sale of Stearsy to Fulham was. Just when you think it can’t get any worse.
You beat me to it Stuwolf – Williamson has indeed been recalled
So for those of you who were convinced we werent in a relegation fight …
http://www.sportsmole.co.uk/football/newcastle-united/transfer-talk/news/newcastle-recall-williamson-from-wolves_260144.html#$$nyoesc&&XW/WvJgbEeWPugp91fdxVw$$
As a mark of how well he has applied himself at Wolves, they are talking of him going straight into the team.
The good news is,
We are signing Jason Nourfoulk snd Ian Chence from non league Newport.
That leaves us with a crap team with “Nourfoulk and Chence”
” Have Yourselves a Merry Relegation”
Now we will see, once and for all, what our players and manager/coach are made of.
Team for Saturday….
Martinez
Golbourne EBL Batth Doherty
MacDonald Coady
Henry Wallace Ojo
Afobe
It’s as much likely as unlikely due to the performance on Saturday. It may be tinker time in New York
Now we really could be in the mire. EBL will never make a player as long as he has a hole in his arese IMO.
Teamfor Sat should be
Ikeme
Doherty, Iorfa, Batth, Golbourne
Byrne Price, Mcdonald, Graham.
Afobe, Holt
But we would proably still play like shit at the moment.
Tipton.
Only Le Fondle for Holt and that’s about as good as it gets.
2nd half
Deslandes for Doherty
Bright for Le Fondle
Oh, pooh, bollox, shit ……….
Guess my headache is going to get worse with Steve Showcase coming on here and complaining about the goals we are conceding – because now that he is being recalled I guess we will concede again. That coupled with our inability to score means – loss, loss, loss.
Oh woe is me!!!
On a positive note.
My nephew who lives up in Northallerton, can’t make the Rotherham game, so I have an adult ticket if anyone wants one and hasn’t bought yet.
The Down side is you would have to sit next to me. Shit happens.
Here’s one for all you Kenny Jackett knockers.
Mike Williamson comes to Wolverhampton on loan.
He’s seen as a bit of a liability at Newcastle, too old, too slow, can’t get a place in the first team.
A month under the coaching of KJ and he is transformed into a Premier League first choice defender.
Interesting.
Sorry Doog Stu’s mole says they were advised to take him out now before it ‘all goes tits up.’
Colin, I didn’t say “before” I said, because.
I think you are very tongue in cheek Mr D. Perhaps it was our Ken’s coaching or maybe McClaren has fallen out with Colloccini. If this really is down to Kenny’s coaching then I can’t wait for it to have a similar effect on Hause, Batth and Ebanks Landell – he’s had a lot of time to turn them into premiership standard defenders. Having said all that, I have never been a great fan of Ken but given the choice of him or McClaren I would stick with K every time.
Shame he can’t do that with Savile and Rowe!
If ever there was a further nail to bang into the coffin…
Quite tragic in every sense…
KJ is mad enough to play EBL..He really is…
DG perhaps the talented KJ can train EBL to pass the ball to a Wolves shirt this time….it would help….any bets?
Williamson was slow and older but he made our guys look stable and confident because he was managing them (inc DB) the stats speak for them selves ..He bailed out the defence for the rest of the season.,
Tipton I’m with yer…
Is this the news we’ve all been waiting for.
He’s willing to accept £40 million with a proviso that they invest to protect his legacy (???????) and there are two or three interested parties in talks.
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas
http://sport.bt.com/sport-football/news/steve-morgan-ready-to-accept-30-40million-for-wolves-S11364025330313?
I wonder exactly what is on offer for the money?????
Protect his legacy?
Protect his fuckin’ legacy?
What has he done worth legacising? ( good word, that)
If that rudolph is proud of what he has “achieved” at The Mol then his sights are set not much higher than a snake’s belly. ( See, knew I could greasel a mention.)
What an arrogant tosser
Bet his new partner is a shit fan
That Moxey, he could sell Bullshit to the Texan’s.
He said” Mr Morgan invested £82 million over his tenancy.”
Just the bloke to sell a used car/club to the Reubenstien’s.
Yes and acquired about 85 million in para payments, turnstile revenue and other rev streams, not forgetting his profit on the 500K houses he managed to sneak under the radar of the community. (est at 25 million)
Why does Moxey keep coming out with all this shit lies….. does he think we are all feckin numpties….
‘Legacising’???? I hate the way the Queen’s English is being Americanised.
The Surgeon at New Cross did that to the Mother-in-laws varicose veins.
He was American, well we think he was, he said,” just one Yank and they’ll be out”
Boom Boom
That wasn’t Americanized, it was good old Wolveramptun bastardized!!
Actually I medd it up!
At least you did not say Americanized.
Oooops, must remember to scroll down and read posts before posting!!!!!
Agree completely Clive….
First thing I thought £40,000,000. for £10.00 ?
That’s a huge profit.
What investment?
Oh yea, building projects he contracted to Redrow.
What about the parachute money and the value, above £10 of the club when he bought it?
The man is a total fraud, a con man.
One of those people who hasn’t worked out that money cannot buy class….
As for ‘interested parties’, surely anyone with a brain, won’t want to line Morgan’s pocket.
A learned friend who recently went to Carden Park (Morgans hotel in Cheshire) confirmed from conversations with the staff there that he was a conniving greedy conman … who has well and truly stitched the folk of Wolverhampton up …. !!
He must mean the unique outdoor experience of being in his new stand.
So Williamson goes back ‘oop north’. Maybe its an opportunity to try Iorfa at CH ?
Whilst he was useless in the air, poor at tackling and couldn’t pass to save his life, I quite liked Des Walker purely for his pace which enabled him to get his team out of desperate situations on many occasions. It also allowed his defence to play a high-line, thus permitting the midfielders to get further forward in support of the attack. Sound like a familiar problem ? And Iorfa has a lot more to his game than old Des ever did.
I am back in the UK (first time in more than 3 years) for the Leeds and Reading games over the festive period.
I am wanting to get tickets, but really dreading what I am going to see!
(But it can’t be any worse than the dross of MLS on the TV up here in Canada).
It sounds like Graham has had a good start, and I hope he gets a run in the team. Afobe hitting the net once in 6(?) just isn’t good enough for me, let him sit. Start ALF and Holt against Rotherham to muscle / batter the defenders, softening them up for a cameo of pace and guile from Ben10.
KJ might see us playing good football at home, but unless we get results, it is all acedemic. Mourinho wasn’t scared to drop Hazard or Costa, so why should KJ be fearful of dropping Afobe for a couple of games. If he isn’t doing it, show some strength and give the “bench warmers” a run out against what seems like a poor Rotherham team and then even going into the Friday game against Forest.
Variety is the spice of life, and doing the same things expecting different results is a sign of insanity…
I might have two in the Billy Wright Upper for 10 GBP each … drop me yr email address or mobile Madbandit. …. and they’re next to Scooped and Ben … Don’t come more glorious than that eh…
Thanks Twixfix!
The Billy Quiet Upper hey?
I think the only two games I have been up there for are a friendly against Blackburn that we won 5-3 about 10 years ago, and a Carling Cup game against Morecombe that just was a chore!
My folks still have tickets in the Steve Bull Upper, but I’ll keep you posted once I land back in Blighty on the 14th.
You can always find me at madbandit@outlook.com
Feckin hell it is all happening.
My mate has just had a text from the Molineux,Jjackett is in talks with QPR
Not really what I want to hear. They’ll have to pay some compensation though, which will, of course, go straight into the transfer kitty.
We might have to pay them compensation ? Still it would be worth it.
Cheeky…….
But could be a deciding factor
I hope you are not just trying to cheer us all up
Wow, we must be planning on buying Charlie Austin as soon as the January window opens……….
We could all have a Xmas present if the Reubon bros bid materialises..My
nose is twitching…
With real money behind us we could have our status back (who ever manages us (DG) lol)
We could even have a late run at the playoffs..wouldn’t that be great…
Yes, my tongue was in my cheek a little when I mentioned the Williamson recall but I’ve just had a worrying thought.
If all the other loanees are recalled by their clubs we could be in deep doo doos.
And then we could bring back all them wot weev loaned out…….
R Van Le P ….no thanks … he can bollox up Brighton’s promotion chances…
Williamson’s gone back to Newcastle, well strap yourselves in peeps because the shit is going to hit the back of the net, again and again and again, Afobe’s going to have to score at least 4 a game from now on if we have any chance of winning a game…………… and no im not joking wish i was!
Boxer dogs willie.
I’m with you on that one, if Kenny’s answer to the press is that EBL is ready and competent to fill Williamsons slot, then I’m a Baggies fan. And that I will never be.
🙁
We should of made an offer for him
when he was in the fold..he fitted in…instructed the whole back moved our midfield forward and released K Mac at times too…
I’m terrified at KJs answer to this situation…,
Hmmmmmmmmmm. Just going to find out where Brompton Rovers ground is for my Saturday football fix. I aint travelling down to the Mol until this debacle is sorted.
There’s a feckin good game going on this weekend at Rotherham.
Lot’s of chances and sultry looking football but no goals methinks.
Accrington Mansfield Morecambe and Exeter are all pushing in League 2. Some interesting away trips in prospect next season! Back in the day of div 4 Bull and Mutch I went to Exeter and the Wolves fans smashed the turnstiled up. I simply strolled in for nothing in the aftermath. Then stayed in Torquay and lots of fun was had.
I see that KJ has made a statement of the bleeding obvious on the E&S site. Our problems are in fact down to our inexperienced defens and the loss of Sacko, plus the injury to Dicko.
OK so Dicko was unfortunate but who sanctioned the sale of Stearman (for football reasons) and why has the fat controller not released the funds to adequately replace Sacko. Answers on a fag packet to the idiot masquerading as a head coach at Compton.
It ain’t bloody rocket science time for some big changes methinks or maybe a boycott until new owners are found
KJ will be going to QPR in the next few days so speaking his mind.
Wolves cannot keep good players or managers due to financial constraints, its like Glen Hoddle all over again.
Hopefully new owners will get rid of the fat controller.
Doubt if we will be that lucky, Hasselbank will probably get QPR job
Yeah, reckon JFH is nailed on. I doubt KJ was ever in the mix.
Oh he was in the mix ok.
But, i think it was a case of he’s been rumbled in the jungle.
Still spouting the same old garbage about EBL, never in reign of pigs pudding is he ready.
I shall be watching him very closely at Rotherham, I will give him a fair shot, but if he comes up short he’s gonna get it.
What you mean Stu (if) he comes up short
..you joking ..it’s as if he plays in a parallel universe and our guys have shifted on the pitch a bit…they don’t recieve his passes..you count them this Saterday..
Many of us seem to be in different places with KFJ some seeing a successful manager about to be prised away others a manager failing.
I was very pleasantly surprised at the 2 very good seasons he has had at Wolves and he certainly turned things around all be it from a very low point. Having said that i dont see him as the inspirational figure we ultimately need now to get anywhere near returning to the Premier league. With the cash that is going to pour into the coffers of local rivals this has got to be the aim.
I dont think Kenny will ever be in the upper echelons – he has been around for quite a long time and all four of his managerial appointments have been made in the third tier. During the summer of the phoney interview process when he was almost appointed then had to wait while the club engaged on a PR exercise i did some research into his time at Millwall. I was amazed at the number of players used many on loan (few showed any later development). Only one player left for a fee of anything more than a nominal amount. He left Millwall on the cusp of relegation.
Wether the current regime has the will or the ability to appoint anyone better i dont know. His tenure probably still has some time to run anyway with many fans still convinced he can take the team on again. I am one of doubters.
You’ve been reading my mail.
Is Jacketts Brain six months behind everyone else’s because he’s saying tonight in the local rag that inexperience at the back the loss of Sako and and lack of quality replacements, injury to Dicko has cost us this season and that’s why we are where we are. NO SHIT……….Sherlock.
I am firmly in the camp now that Jackett has lost the plot he telling us things we knew needed sorting months ago as if he’s just found out.
If he goes to QPR I for one will thank he for sorting us out but at the same time saying, yes Kenny I think you need a change of scenery.
REASONS TO BE CHEERFUL PART THREE.
Just come out in the press after yesterdays fans parliament, note of caution, Moxey states he would be interested in buying Wolves FFS, Nooooooo
http://www.expressandstar.com/sport/wolverhampton-wanderers-fc/2015/12/03/a-handful-of-serious-owners-looking-to-buy-wolves/?
Seriously STU … if Moxey has any sort of share interest or ownership in WWFC after the sale … I’m Getting myself out of here !!
And the fans Parliament minutes.
http://mobile.wolves.co.uk//news/article/read-fans-parliament-minutes-2833773.aspx
Loved that comment that “Jez and Matt are not football staff”
Then what the fuck are they doing at a football club???
I’ve read the minutes the fact that Poxey would not give a straight answer on the price of our club can only be interpreted as Morgans looking to make on the sale or why else will he not come clean.
Re: Sako it was Poxey who was proclaiming last January that he would be replaced like for like, it’s tipical of him to back track and worm he way out of giving a straight answer.
Personally I think the Paralment is a waste of time and gives Poxey and Morgan the excuse to say we are talking to the fans and that is true……..but it’s all BULL SHIT it give thenm a degree of accountability in there eyes only.
There nothing new, NO news on budget for January. NO news on sale of players. NO news on PRICE of club NO news full stop.
P.S Ben I appreciate you give your time to attend these STAGED quangos mate…… But your never going to get any real answer mate…but thanks for trying.
HOT OFF THE PRESS -WOLVES TO SELL AFOBE IN JANUARY.
Fans parliament note- “Richard Perkins spoke of the transfer policy for next month and asked both whether there would be spending and whether Benik Afobe would be sold if there was a £10m bid. Jez responded: “We are currently working to see what we can do in January…that’s the acid test. We thought it was the best thing for the team at the time to refuse to sell Benik but we didn’t seem to get much credit for having done so likewise with refusing to sell Sako last January when we could have. Now, given the position of the club being up for sale, everything has to be up for debate and renewal. We’ll have to think about it very carefully” . For those that need Moxey speak translating this means ” f*** you wolves fans. If you want new players the fat Scouse is not shelling out and as we are not going anywhere this season we might as well cash in cos it hasn’t done us any favours keeping him”.
For those that think the current squad is inadequate fasten your seat belts. If Moxey said this we really are in the hands of a sad group of people. You get credit for getting results. The fella who keeps coming up squeeky clean in all this is cuddly K. Back sack or fuck off. (Just an aside the only time my family went to liverpool my baby sisters push chair got nicked).
“We thought it was the best thing for the team at the time to refuse to sell Benik but we didn’t seem to get much credit for having done so likewise with refusing to sell Sako last January when we could have”.
I find it unbelievable that Moxey seeks credit from the fans for doing his part of a job which he already gets well paid to do. Are we seriously expected to get down on our knees and thank him and SM for not selling Benik and for not selling Sako? If we had / have any serious ambition then we need to hold onto these guys and supplement them with some additional investment in the first team. If we had done this earlier in the year we could well have been in the premiership now. Lack of investment has got us in this position not a lack of acknowledgement from the fans.
The arrogance of Moxey is quite breathtaking. I honestly don’t believe he gives a f*ck about the people who pay his wages. Let the asset stripping begin.
I agree 100% Willie
Total bullshit
Leopards and spots come to mind, but I wouldnt dream of insulting such a magnificent creature as a leopard.
More a cackling hyena
Or a low bellied, fat, slimy, cackling skunk
Once again, the animals are getting insulted!
They were not a bad band i thought……There is a house in New Orleans…….!
Couldn’t agree more Texas.
I love leopards, in fact I saw that ad on the TV and so I pay £100 a Month to adopt a snow leopard.
Jen de Wolf has gone Ape shit, they’re brining it round on Monday.
Anyone know WTF a snow leopard eats?, can’t be a lot, it’s habitat is 6 ft deep in snow!
Moxey’s meat and potato pies …
I’ve said for a long time the FANS parliament is a load of shite full of spin only to make the club look like it cares about the supporters,Poxey only cares about what he can make for himself he’s always been the same and he won’t change (period)
Sutton Coalfield wolf ..I read the same .however .how if the club is for sale is it any different as in selling our
Crown Jewels Afobe…the club is worth more anyway..I just can’t bear the thought..it would be crazy ..and the quote re Sako last time ‘we didn’t get credit for holding on to him in January..’
That’s blackmail – suggests we might do so this time ..
The worst implied statement I’ve heard in 5 years and a true threat to the fans from within the club.
