There was a time when emulating Man Utd equated to something rather good.

Sadly, the modern day translation is a long sequence of horrible, scoreless encounters played out in front of an agitated home crowd.
Our own little theatre of dreams.
On the plus side, many of us can look back on this season of six stalemates (and counting) and proudly declare ‘I was there’.
Much like Chorley, the great collapse of 2002 or that five goal blitzkrieg suffered at the hands of Odemwingie and co, it’s a badge of honour to have been present and accounted for in times of misery.
But seriously, we should just move on.
Today proved that however Kenny Jackett shuffles the pack (with one obvious caveat), you’re not going to get this squad playing attractive, free-flowing football.
Joe Mason was a ghost, Adam Le Fondre predictably ineffective and our attacking play as toothless as it’s been since Jordan Graham’s season was prematurely ended.
451, 442, that doesn’t matter either. This team just doesn’t have the personnel, creativity or cutting edge to get it done.
We have three players who would liven things up. Two are still on the treatment table and the third has been inexplicably exiled.
And it’s Kevin McDonald’s continued absence I simply cannot reconcile with every turgid passing minute.
I want to believe he’s broken the rules or is hankering for an exit, because to leave him out for tactical reasons defies all logic.
What you can’t argue with is that the midfield has been more compact, organised and well drilled of late.
And combined with a settled back four and a goalkeeper rediscovering his best form, goals haven’t been going in at the wrong end either.
Sadly though, supporters don’t place value on a strong defence and performances are nearly always evaluated solely on what a team does with the ball.
I don’t think that’s necessarily wrong either, because sport is supposed to be entertainment.
And despite now being six games undefeated, we are anything but entertained.

Well said Thomas, pretty much echoes what I was saying in my match report posted earlier.
Goalkeeper and defensively we have enough to get by although an experienced (and fit!) centre back and a left back would be useful additions). In the defensive midfield areas with Price and Coady looking comfortable and the possibility of Evans and Ronan as back-ups we are also ok I think.
It is in the attacking third where we fall flat.
Other than McDonald (exiled – and rumours abound that he has sold his house suggesting a Summer move is imminent), Dicko, Graham and Zyro – all currently out injured and likely to be for some time (personally I doubt any will be ready for pre-season) – we have very little. I like the look of Connor Hunte and Bright Enobakhare but both are kids and need time to settle and get established.
The remainder are for me nowhere near the standard we should be fielding. In this category I include Henry, Byrne, Sigurdason, Edwards and loanees Helan and Le Fondre. I remain dubious about Mason, Evans and Saville.
I think, given the fact that Dicko might not be ready for the start of next season and Graham and Zyro definitely won’t be and it looks as if McDonald is on his way out (unless there is a change of manager) we need a complete new front line i.e. right winger who can be supported by Hunte, left winger, a proper creative ‘number 10’ who can be supported by Enovakhare and at least 3 strikers.
Problem is with the Morgan/Moxey regime loathe to spend any money unless we get a change at the top that isn’t going to happen and, if not, I fear another wasted season of mediocrity and mid-table (at best) obscurity beckons.
Agree totally Bedford could not have Blogged better myself……spot on.I thought I was the only one to see through Jacketts bollocks..!
Recruitment has been shocking to be honest.
Crocked defender , who realistically may never come back.
Over paying for a half decent striker/ no.10 that can’t be used effectively.
Along with loan signings of holt, ojo,ALF to name a few examples.
Someone has to clarify who has the final say and how the process is carried out.
All smacks of desperation,We are where we deserve to be.
Back to the same old high expectations/hopes with very little to actually make it realistic.
Can we at least try and give the fans that pay their hard earned cash every week something to shout about.
Morgan please do something and clear off before we slip back to championship obscurity.
Bing’s lyrics seem appropriate –
We’re busy doin’ nothin’
Workin’ the whole day through
Tryin’ to find lots of things not to do
We’re busy goin’ nowhere
Isn’t it just a crime….
The limitations of the players is obviously an issue but i cannot stretch them to the point where Kenny somehow becomes the totally helpless victim, completely blameless for the current performances.
He is not just there to ‘shuffle the pack’ and therein perhaps lies the problem. This season he has done little else but shuffle the pack.
Kenny is also there to work on all the variables that go to make a players and a teams performance – confidence, belief, motivation, organisation, team bonding etc.
Personally i think there has been something lacking this season in Kenny’s relationship with the players and this has shown itself in the team on the pitch and in the shuffling.
Colin youve saved me a blogg spot espeailly regarding Jackett thank god there are some fans out there who can see through Jacketts smoke screen also.
The Match.
Wolves Vs Blackburn 0-0 absolute dross of the first order.
That’s it, can’t drum up enthusiasm to match Bedford Wolf’s summary of it all. Who by the way missed the best 12 minutes of the game, Honestly. Two World class saves from Ikeme spared our blushes in the last few minutes.
More importantly in my life.
Last night Steve Daley’s wife phoned us and invited my wife and I out with their family to a function, with Nobby Stiles’s son John and Phil Parkes.
What a fabulous night, full of Steve Daley nostalgia and Nobby’s son a brilliant comedian finishing it off. Half way through his routine Steve reeled off his team of Parkes, Parkin, McAlle, Carr, Bailey, Munro, Daley, Wagstaffe, Dougan, Richards. They rolled off his tongue and straight into my memory banks to remind me of an age when we were suitably entertained by players prepared to die for the Old Gold and Black and Bill McGarry.
How can we even think of those players in the same breath as the shower we’ve witnessed this season, and to be honest most of last season, if we are all truly honest to ourselves we would have to admit we were damn lucky for most of the games last season.
Phil Parkes came and sat with us and said,” even he’d had enough and left with 10 minutes to go”, what a poor indictment to a game.
The last game of the season should be a pearler, Sheff Wed have sold 7000 tickets, they will have more than us at this rate.
We live in hope.
Why is everyone so reluctant to place the blame for our present debacle fairly and squarely where it rightly belongs ?
Mr Jacket.
Morgan and Moxey may well be unsavory characters acting in their own interests, but they do not select the team, nor decide the tactics. The reality is that we may have a bunch of very mediocre players, but their combined failure on the pitch is entirely down to Jacket`s gross incompetence as a coach.
There is no consistent selection process, with key players being left out for no reason other than they have in some way offended the almighty coach Tactics change as often as most of us change our socks. There is no motivation.
Then, each game is followed by a pathetic excuse laden interview the content of which gives the impression that that our coach has been watching a completely different game to the one which we have suffered through.
The fact is that we have no team, but just a collection of bedraggled demotivated non performers, who seem to have little idea as to what is expected of them.
I first attended the Mol back in 1948. Since then I have enjoyed the highs, and endured the lows. But never have I been ashamed of my football team as I am now. On the field Wolves are a downright disgrace. An absolute shambles. We will remain so until Jacket leaves.
Mike…….. there is a God someone else who’s seen the light, regarding Jackett been saying it all season.
Mike….
Agree completely.
Morgan wants to get £30m-40m for something that cost £10.
Disgusting greed.
Moxey/Jackett are his ‘yes’ men.
Paid to take the flak for his miserly, economic approach.
They are taking the heart out of the club, under the auspices of profit.
Shame on them.
Look at Leicester play, they play that way, partly, because they know the owner loves the club.
We have no chance.
My first comment for a while.
I like reading the blog but my feelings are anger not compassion, so commenting further, until things change, is just negative!
C’mon you Wolves!
F… Off Morgan/Moxey/Jackett
I predicted a boring 0-0 draw but without Ikeme we could have lost 3-0 and shown what a total waste of space this team is.
KJ seems to be getting the brunt of everyone’s ire after yet another bore draw but frankly, not in my book.
It’s tough to make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear but that’s what he’s trying to do when the boss won’t invest in the silk. I know it’s the age old cry, but our injury list is becoming ridiculous and without it, I’m sure we would be there or thereabouts. Dicko is due back pre-season and Graham around September. God knows what’s happening with Williamson but it may be he’ll never play for us again as Hause, Batth and EEL cement their understanding and gain experience.
I can’t see the current regime spending money we ain’t got on players who could well be surplus to requirements early next season.Yeah, we need more power up front and maybe the upcoming sale of KMac is to fund that. But given the restraints he’s working under, KJ has done well to steer us into the calm (albeit boring) waters of mid-table.
Fully agree with you Wolfstroker – Jackett is shuffling the pack -credit to him with the substitutions and bringing on the kids early enough to show some impact – the trouble is he is trying to find Aces when his hand is at best full 10’s and Jack’s.
I agree with you Wolfstroker mate … The villains who keep mugging us off are those TWO wa””#rs at the top. How can you succeed when the alleged SILK they get you turns out to be WINCEYETTE (or however it’s spelt) ….. however JACKETT is not without huge fault. …We all know why. on several counts …Tinkering..players omitted etc.
What I witnessed yesterday was utter garbage without any modicum of likely entertainment. …. 75 mins or so for the first shot on target , and that from our sub and Icelandic Wanderer.
Walking to the ground at 2:50 seemed more like a non league setting than the masses of yesteryear that used to throng Waterloo Rd.
It’s all going one way folks …DOWNHILL.
There will be no new players … Our best players will be sold to PROP UP the clubs overheads (MOXEY’S SALARY) and we will just sink and sink and sink.
NEW MOTTO to replace … We KNOW NO DIVISION…..
…16 YEARS OF FAILURE, MUGGING OFF THE REAL FANS AND STILL GETTING WELL PAID.
The game was just total DROSS ….. thank goodness I missed the last 5 mins.
Not without huge fault…..I carnt believe it Twix you critical of Jackett has the world gone MAD…………..ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I’ve never been too critical of Jackett …. and genuinely believe sacking him would not be the best option ….HOWEVER … he lets himself down at times with his managerial/head coach behaviour and decision making.
His biggest failing IMO is that he needs to grow some balls and stop letting the two prats above him manipulate him to become the fall guy …
Definitely with you on that Twix. I don’t understand why he walked out on Millwall ’cause they couldn’t afford who he thought they needed, yet he covers the 2M’s stingy arses week after week.
I feel it won’t be long until he does what’s necessary, before his reputation is in tatters.
Your right Twixfix that’s my issue with him, I’d have more time for him if he a least made an attempt at standing up to them not just for himself but for us too the fans………that’s what every football club is about without the fans there is no club.
We are in unfimilar waters me and you we agree and I’m liking it.
I’m sure most football fans would say that it’s an emotional rollercoaster. That’s certainly been the case with Wolves, who are generally getting promoted or relegated every other season or else just missing out on the play-offs. We’re not used to this particular brand of ride, which is akin to queueing for hours to watch someone else ride the teacups.
I gave up my season ticket under the insufferable Mark McGhee, who was unable to come close to the entertainment value delivered by Graham Taylor the season before. I thought McGhee was bad but I went to the Ipswich game and I was actually bored! Awaiting the latest highlights video I re-watched Wolves official 2 mins highlights video of that particular snoozefest, which included such gems as Danny Baath challenging for a header in his own penalty area that runs to Doherty on his own byline who then gets tripped before he can clear. The youtube blurb suggests a subscription to Wolves Player for 10 minutes of extended highlights!
I’ve been trying to persuade myself that we’re just not used to the lack of drama but when the only chant the South Bank can muster is a brief chorus of “Boring…Boring…Boring” you know you are in trouble. As for this latest one, I was vaguely following it on Twitter whilst I sat in a Kwik Fit waiting for a flat tyre to be replaced. The tyre set me back a couple of hundred and balancing another hundred on top. As a bonus feature they beamed the pictures from their computerised balancing equipment into the waiting room and I was able to watch four decimal fractions move up and down and turn green and red. It was more entertaining than Kenny Jackett’s Wolves. What a sorry state of affairs.
Ikeme – McDonald – Sako Dicko Afobe …
That was the core and spine of our fantastic, flowing, attacking squad last season
Sako left, Ikeme and McDonald banished to the bench, and Afobe was sold … Only Dickos injury was unforseen.
Then we sold our most experienced defender, to frantically run around trying to find an expefrienced defender, then we spend the Afobe money on two players, neither of whom can play for us.
The decisions made by the men in charge are inspiration for an episode of the twilight zone … infected by an alien brainworm the worlds leaders embark on a mission to reduce civilisaton to rubble …
Well, they’ve just about ruined this club, and few Wolves fans I know actually give a shit any more. I’m surprised there were that many early bird uptakes to be honest – whilst I dont knock anybody who renewed, it does make me wonder if they have nothing better to do on a Saturday than watch what will, without doubt, be nothing but a repeat of the dross served up this season.
On the positive, the England squad is looking a bit lively – unsuprisingly with Rooney Lampard Gerrard and Terry out of the picture, and I may actually get some football satisfaction this year after all.
One cant help but wonder how much improved Wolves would be if we jettisoned Frank Morgan, Wayne Moxey and Stevey Jackett from our squad too.
Ho hum.
I was there, and there and there and there and there and there. Just before I die and my life flashes before my eyes I hope I can fast forward most of this season. It has been an inverted tribute to Johann Cruyff –total not football. What moves could be named after the current team? Many could lay claim to the hopeful hoof, the misdirected pass, the wayward cross, the lumbering tackle, the aimless shot, the throwaway throw in, the unrehearsed set piece. Johann must be turning in his grave. Sky no doubt have the rights to afterlife broadcasting and will be beaming this stuff to my heavenly cloud. Eternity suddenly seems to have got an awfully lot longer.
Hilarious Danny, as usual!
5 games to go ..and then what..?
Our support surely doesn’t have to endure this next season and to Mike above …I salute you…If JKT stays then I’ll rebook myself in…
I’m obviously not reluctant regarding him although there is a very small smigeon of thought that he is being instructed as I’ve previously said though I really can’t believe that anymore…He lives by his own sword.
The K Mac story will be fascinating
When it breaks – yet another player tragedy and underlines all our best players are potentially for sale in this current ownership..and that ownership realistically for me looks set to continue..I’m praying for a miricle..
I expected a draw in this match and thought more than once that that we would loose ..my only true thanks is that overall at this end of the season we are not in the relegation zone and where we needed the 3 points …
We did keep a clean sheet (only courtesy of Ikeme) and ”extends (KJ)
Our unbeaten run of six games” ..we
can draw good…

I was lying in bed with Kenny last night.
I was putting the last touches to the latest ‘play what I wrote’ and he was reading the Beano.
After a while he stopped and turned to me with a sad look in his eyes.
“I just can’t do anything right can I?” He said gloomily.
“You could try holding the Beano the right way up for a start” I quipped.
“No, what I mean is, I change the team around and I get slaughtered for tinkering. I keep the team the same and I’m not giving the youngsters a chance.
Stick to one formation and I’ve got no Plan B, change it if it’s not working and I’m tactically naive and don’t know what way we should play.
When young Kortney makes a horlicks giving the ball away and putting it in his own net it’s my fault for not telling him that he shouldn’t.
Every time we have an injury it’s somehow down to me. Do you know that we could field a full team and subs with the players who have been out for more than two months this season?”
He paused. This must have been the longest time that he had spoken without some joke or witty anecdote being slipped into the conversation.
I’ve always seen myself as ‘Ernie’ to his ‘Eric’, so renowned is he for his amusing after match speaking.
I thought for a moment and came back with:-
“But you’re still a very funny man. I particularly like your latest ongoing wheeze. Telling Macca that he’s not part of the squad, waiting until he gets really pissed off and thinking he’s off to Rangers and…”
He interrupted. “Waiting until he sells his house and then tell him he’s not leaving?
Yes, that’s one of my best. Although I still like the after match interviews when I describe an entirely different game to the one the fans have watched.
I based that on The Two Ronnies’ Mastermind sketch when Ronny C always answers the question before last. Classic comedy.
Perhaps I haven’t lost it after all.
But getting back to the subject in hand. On my management record, what do you think of it so far?”.
“Ruggish!” Interjected Steve Showcase. (I don’t know where he came from – Mr & Mrs Showcase I suppose).
A cold breeze blew in through the open window. Kenny put down the Beano, got out of bed and walked across the room to shut it.
The sound of a police car’s wailing siren echoed in the distance.
Kenny turned to me, grinned and winked.
“He’ll not going to sell many ice creams going at that speed” He said.
Steve Daley,
Circa- last night 9th April 2016.
I have a Signed Wolves football to auction off on behalf of Brewood juniors so please give generously for such a great cause, the Youth is our future so dig deep.
Who will start me off at £100
No, no-one, ok, £60
No not even £60 ok then £50 to get me started.
No no-one oh dear a room full of Wolves fans, apathy has really set in.
Come on guys the ball alone has got to be worth £50
And with the whole first team squad signing it it must be worth £49-99
Nuff said…………..
Incidentaly.
It sold for £60 with a bottle of tippex thrown in.
🙂
Damn, and I was just going tp put a bid in of £70.00.
Would have been worth more if Phil Parkes had signed it BUT…..
When they passed the ball to him it slipped through his fingers
No doubt Ikeme got us that point with 3 world class saves.
It’s been dire at home & all have to take the blame including KJ. We’re mathematically safe now but next season no longer really shines as a beacon of hope.
I’d go back to 5 in midfield & get KMac & Dangerous Dave back in there as mogadon entertainment ain’t my idea of fun.
The thing that’s most dispiriting is that you just cannot believe anything that comes out of this club.
To lose or to leave out a player of KMac’s ability & match winning talent is redolent of a club looking to emulate Bolton. Or our very own recent & not so recent past.
The thing is as much as I don’t think jettisoning KJ is a good idea, the harsh reality is he has lost the confidence of the majority of fans.
He must realise that when Jackett’s barmy army is now Sir Jack Hayward’s barmy army.
The fans whether right or wrong associate him with the toxicity of the Morgan/Moxey regime.
I picked up on the Jack Hayward barmy army too Allen … interesting and subtle change….
Sounds like another ‘top notch’ display………
Oh how I yearn for this season to be over and done with. At the moment it’s like having nagging toothache with no hope of relief until the bugger is extracted……
Methinks, Doogle, you are getting better, and need to get a hobby, coz you really do seem to have too much time on your hands!!
Lovely to see the “match” report on the blog so quickly, Thomas, about the only positive thing from the game!
There have been many famous comedy duos down the years, Little and Large, Eric and Ernie, Two Ronnies, Bill and Hillary, etc etc, and they all have one thing in common, they make US laugh, which is what they are supposed to do.
Our own Wolverhampton comedy duo have got it wrong.
They are laughing at our antics.
All the way to the offshore banks.
How we bitch and moan and complain, yet still turn up, week after week, rain or shine, to spend spend spend on zero entertainment or excitement, and shit pies.
Their jaws must be aching from all the loffin’ at us.
A while back I wrote about how they will never understand what binds us together as Wolves fans, our blind loyalty and faith in the team.
Now, I think the bulb has finally switched on, and not only are they comedians, but have become the best dairy farmers in the land, milking us for everything, and giving cowshit in return.
Yesterday’s attempt at football was a complete summation of this season……..boring shit.
Jackett has lost all credibility, since he
cannot get anything right on the pitch, and his bullshit interviews are as boring and useless as everything else he foes.
Man up Jackett, admit you cannot do anything more, resign, and then give the interview of your life!!!
And a lovely result from manchester yesterday!!
FO wb
Nothing tangible will happen until the team is sold so may as well just be happy if the team stays in the Championship.
Players are not good enough for the Premier League and better player will not be bought if promoted, anyway.
Some good news came out of yesterday. Franchise FC are now deep in the mire and 7 points adrift from an in-form Rotherham after yesterdays shellacking. With any luck Antony Kay will have a ‘wages reduction in the event of relegation’ clause in his contract. This in turn will lead to his house and cars being repossessed and his missus leaving him. He’ll then turn to alcohol and end up living in some god-forsaken dumpster covered in stinking bags of refuse, refreshed daily by the local cat-food factory. Well, I can dream can’t I…?
Seems too good for ‘im.
i’m only the messenger, read what you will into this.
Steve Morgan to re-marry in two weeks KJ not invited.
Morgan in Advanced talks with buyers for Wolverhampton Wanderers!
The irony in this is. He never learns and finally he’s learnt his lesson.
To the future Mrs Scouse, your’e obviously not marrying him for his dashing good looks, so bleed him dry, take him to the cleaners, wreck his life and bring him to his knees. If you need help speak to any Wolves fan, we’ve just been through all that.
What a women….
I got an invite Stuey but unfortunately had to decline because I’m getting my eyes pierced with a hot needle on that day …. So I’m really sorry Steve I can’t make your big day.
Oh and good luck to your new missus …at least she’ll have bucket loads of Wonga spent on her. NOT LIKE YOUR ALLEGED TRUE LOVE …WWFC… OH ISNT THAT WHAT YOU TOLD SIR JACK…!
In the words of Mrs. Merton:: “What was it that first attracted you to the multi millionaire Steve Morgan?”
Preparing for the worst, Tee Hee Hee
I just don’t know what’s best – stick with KJ and hope he hasn’t lost all the calm nous that sorted the huge problems of two years ago (super annuated players, disenchanted fans, incredibly unpopular management) and built a winning team in one season and an almost last six team in the second?
Or ditch him, accept that shelf life is short, and maybe he’s reached his limit?
I think on balance I want to give him the summer (or much of it) to see how Morgan’s plans develop.
In the end, we ay got much choice!
No half decent manager’s gonna come in anyway.
Just musing the players without whom we would not have got a point from the last two games (Ikeme and Price) KJ has done his best to ditch this season.
Lambert Blackburn manager says it’s one of the worst games he has seen, becoming the norm at the mol Jacket says we lacked creativity, I know we’re there is a creative player would,nt cost a penny
The first thing the new owners MUST do (if we get one)is get rid of Hackett, because he’s totally inept in my view. I’m sure now we must spend big on a new manager, rather than run of the mill steady eddies.
I think we have the basis of good team with the right steerage.
Like said the only way we managed to gain a point yesterday was from the heroics of our keeper.
The match was a boring end of season mid table crap draw, enough said.
Just a thought – several bloggers on here been saying we won’t spend money that we haven’t got.
Stearman + Afobe = £12m.
Mason, Williamson + Zyro = £3.6m. Surplus to spend = £8.4m.
Maybe though like the £28m we got for Fletcher, Jarvis and Kightly it has just ‘vanished’.
It didn’t vanish,it allowed ginger nut to build Compton park housing development and poxey’s bonus amongst other things.and other ill gotten fiddles.
Someone on another blod said,
“if Moxey is invited to the wedding of the century, they’re going to need the extra cash to pay for the wedding cake”
Morgan, The evidence is out there……..
Wedding cake, the best laxative known to man.
Sorry,it’s still a train coming the other way.
The sad thing is I’ve seen worse. Wolves 0 Peterborough 3 January 1st 1987. probably the lowest point in Wolves history. 3 weeks later we beat Stockport 3-1 at home Bully got 2 and that was the turning point. 10 wins in a row later made the play offs in front of 22000 at Mol in 2 sides of the ground. So yeah it is shit but not that shit.
Have to agree with you Thomas. In fact, at best, we look a Jekyll & Hyde team. The best is outweighed by the worst, though. We can never put a run of good performances together but, boy, we can put a bad one together!
Kmac’s absence is baffling. I’m beginning to think that Kenny has serious blind spots. The Liverpool player, Ojo, put in a fantastic cross yesterday for the Sturridge goal. We had Ojo on loan for a whole season but the main reason he was recalled I think was last of game time. If we had signed Ojo permanently, I guarantee he would be out on loan in League One by now.
With Morgan getting remarried soon I presume ownership of Wolves will be sorted as well. No point in Kenny going anywhere in the meantime while things are in suspense.
Other Wolves blogs say that Jackett is NOT invited to the wedding. If true that is a good indication of how long he will be at Wolves.
He probably doesn’t want to go anyway.
Enjoyed yesterdays debate seems split down the middle on our blog. As long as we dont lose all our best players not too bothered about KJ either way for the time being.
Some fans seem really smitten by him and would rather wave all the players down the road first. Afraid thats a romance thats not going anywhere. Kenny is a bit of a managerial ugly duckling and he just isnt ever going to turn into a swan.
Is there a problem with the Prediction League update? It says “updated to MK Dons away” but my scores/no. predictions is incorrect. Up to that match I’d made 37 predictions for 30 points, now 38 predictions for 33 points after Saturday so am unclear where the recorded figures have come from (25 points from 30 predictions).
I’ve attached a spreadsheet of my 2016 predictions for checking, everything has been taken from the archives. No cup games included.
Any corrections much appreciated.
Thanks.
Looks like my decision to take my grandchildren to Eurodisney last week, and miss a couple of bore 0-0 draws at home, was a good one. At least I had exhilarating but exhausting entertainment nothing boring about our time en France.
It seems so many other fellow bloggers have had enough of the club treading water, while the for sale signs hang forlornly on the outside of the Mol. Can`t see me going to another home game this year, may go to Leeds to see how poor we are, although at least we seem to be better on our travels.
Thankyou Thomas for removing that offensive recent blog, shame I received it to my home email as well. Any moron who thinks supporting a football club is more important than family, needs a reality check. I`ve enjoyed my lifetime hobby of supporting my club, and will continue to do so after Morgan and Moxey are long gone, but family comes first for me, and I`ll go to the Mol with my renewed early bird, if it suits my other commitments.
I’m not a Jacket apologist. I just don’t see much to be gained from sacking him now – unless there’s a proper commitment to investment in which case we might attract a bigger BD better man. I just worry about replacing him with a Saunders look-a-like who is recommended to Morgan by his wife’s hairdresser. Having said that, totally agree that there’s something that stops Jacket getting the best out of good transfer or loan targets (Ojo, Wallace, Saville) until a loan club does it or – like Ojo – they go home. Also really don’t like the way he undermines players, starts transfer talks, and then decides to start picking them… Odd
Looks like Jacketts finally grown some balls saying in local rag will need to invest or Wolves will fall behind……………NO SHIT……..
WILL FALL behind hello………Bournmouth, Watford no to mention Leiceter.
Sorry Kennny to little to late….!
Hi all,
Just a final reminder about the end of season bloggers get together at the Park View hotel in West Park on 6th & 7th May 2016.
If you want to meet the great folk on this blog site and finally put faces to the Avatars and names on here this is your opportunity, they are all lovely lads and lasses and have a common interest, everything Old Gold & Black. We are not some select elite club, we are simply Wolves fans minus all the politics and B/S that goes on in and around the club.
Some folks like Clive who travels from Houston each year for this and the other guys and gals who live a distance away book in on the Friday and Saturday, so there’s an opportunity to meet them on the Friday evening, on the Saturday before and after the game (even though it’s a12-30 ko) and then a meal in the hotel on the Saturday evening.
I previously sent a list around, the general feeling is just a meal on the Saturday evening, but if you want to pop in and chat with the bloggers by all means pop in on the Friday and have a beer or a bite to eat. If you are still unsure, there definitely is a meal on the Saturday, at present there are about 16 people sitting down to eat and we would love to make it more and meet you guys.
So if you want to pop along and have a meal and chin wag, please e-mail me and I will send you the two menus, one is £22 the other £26, if you consider the price of a Moxey pie thats pretty good value, because you won’t have to sit on a rock and get cold or rained on.
For all the bloggers who are already down to come, I need the £10 per person deposit and your menu choice by 23rd April at the latest, the PVH want our menu choice so they can get enough staff in and have it ready and served up at the right time.
Thanks a lot guys, hope we can tempt a few more (all of you) it is a fun night and we are hoping to have an ex Wolves player there to spice things up.

Reasons to be cheerful part two…….
New sponsor to be announced tomorrow.
New owner announcement imminent.
If tomorrows is an Aisian Airline we can get excited, if it’s Aldi, Moxey will be excited.
Fingers crossed.
What are the possible guesses for new owner? That Jordanian guy. The guy from Apple. Some Russian Jews, I think.
What other ones were mentioned in rumours?
The Chinese billionaire Ding Lei was heavily mentioned in December. If he kept Moxey on we could give Jez a new Chinese-sounding name: Wan King… Or Fatty Chops.
The Reuben Brothers were linked back in September/October. I think they may be the Russian Jews you refer to. A corporate banker friend of mine said no truth in the Reuben Bros rumour though. This banker was involved in Sheikh Mansoor’s Man City takeover and knows Steve Morgan from the failed Liverpool takeover.

Actually some very appropriate song titles on that album, which just happens to be one of my all time faves.

If the Chinese chappy buys us, do you think he’ll want to rename the ground DingLei Dell?
As much as Carl Ikeme is admired in the DOOGooder household for:-
a) His shot stopping ability
b) His shorts filling skill
I’ll leave you, dear reader, to work out who admires what.
…I would like to draw his attention to a short piece of film that he could do well to study and try to emulate.

There is a lesson to be learned here I think, and I’m reminded of an old saying by the ancient eastern guru and philosopher Ding Lei.
“He who wellies pill aimlessly soon gets pill wellied back at himself.
He who uses pill wisely will net the rewards of his good works”.
Reasons to be cheerful part one…..
Press conference today at 1pm..
Please God let this be part one
But its only to announce a new sponsor, which is hardly likely to raise enough to buy an extra pair of socks all round, is it?
Or am I missing something here, like some Middle Eastern Airline?
It’s not an Airline so part two may ne a dispointment.
So now we are sponsored by loan sharks …?
Who is going to be the new owner ? Bernie Madoff ?
Sponsored by The Money Shop without a hint of irony. The club of Frank Buckley, Stan Cullis, Billy Wright, Derek Dougan, Steve Bull etc should hold its head in shame?????
Stay classy, Jez.
Why do I get the sinking feeling Jez is buying the team?
Might go for a refund on my early bird. This is as bad as Newcastle with their Wonga.
People in Wolverhampton struggling to make ends meet and these shameless twats do this to our club. Moxey your’e a Scumbag. A money laundering, money grabbing Scumbag.
Representative Example: £200 borrowed for 3 months. Annual interest rate of 234% (fixed). Total amount repayable is £290.10 in 3 monthly instalments of £96.70. Representative 729% APR.
This is what you would be promoting by wearing a shirt with Moneyshop on the front. Oh well that’s quite a saving for me – not buying a shirt for three years
Open Letter to Mr. Jez Moxey.
Dear Sir,
Please accept my heartfelt congratulations for your sterling work in signing up our latest sponsorship deal. A better partner for you and your nefarious dealings could never be found.
The congratulations are twofold.
Firstly, for sinking to depths of greed no one ever considered even you could sink to.
Secondly, for turning our once proud club 180 degrees, and making it the total opposite of what is was founded upon, and cherished for well over 100 years.
The vast majority of supporters, over the last century, have been middle of the road, hard working, locals, who grafted six days a week, down the pits, or in the foundries, or other laborious jobs, and their outlet for relieving some or all of their tensions was 90 minutes at The Molineux, cheering on their equally hard working ( for the most part ) sporting heroes.
You, Mr. Moxey, have turned the club around so that the latest sponsor is one which preys on those same, hard working, not so well off, supporters, by milking them dry with exorbitant rates of interest.
Yes, the argument could be that no one is forcing people to take out those loans, but how desperate must these folk be to turn to scum like moneyshop to make ends meet.
Are you proud of what you have done?
Are you sleeping at night, knowing how much of a mockery you have made of the club?
Are you that thick skinned that you don’t care?
Are you completely inured to the amount of hate and vilification you have spawned?
You need to take some advise from me.
Get down on your knees and pray to the only god you recognize, Mammon, and hope in hell that our paths never cross, in England or the USA.
I would take extreme pleasure in introducing you to hospital food.
Clive,
I feel you’re holding something back. Come on, Out with it man……
Interesting that this Deal wasn’t announced before the closure of the Early Bird window…
I’m sure some of the players won’t be happy with it either… Dave and Danny look thrilled on the press photos.
What an utter disgrace the people who run this club are….
No Shirts for me for 3 years…
Petition here..
https://www.change.org/p/jez-moxey-wolverhampton-wanderers-fc-reconsider-the-sponsorship-agreement-with-the-money-shop?recruiter=92878556&utm_source=share_petition&utm_medium=copylink
I’ve just signed the petition urging Wolves to reconsider their sponsorship by Money Shop. If enough people sign it will put pressure on Jez & Morgan as it will gain publicity. We need these greedy parasites out of our club. We need the public to know Wolves fans are not happy with this disgraceful sponsorship deal. We need the public to know just how low Jez & Morgan will go… Get out of our club
I’ve signed it and added a comment, please sign it and Facebook, twitter, e-mail, message, post, tie to a pigeons leg, message in a bottle, semaphore it but get it out there and get that twat Moxey the sack. he is a Scumbag just like those Money laundering, loan sharks.
Signed it. For those that lined up for early bird you can’t say you weren’t warned. The scariest thing is that if moxey was prepared to do this sponsorship deal what sort of potential buyers do you think he”ll be prepared to do a deal with ? Every hour he remains in post is another hour on the path of demise for our club.
I’ve signed it …. To Jez ….DON’T EVER PROMOTE OUR CLUB ON A COMMUNITY EMBRACING BASIS AGAIN.
I’ve signed it with comment.
I’ve just seen the short list for shirt sponsors.
Money Shop, ISIS, Boko Haram and The People’s front of Judea.
Trust JM to choose the wrong one!
Proples front of Judea now there’s a group. Arab based, must have money, and the half time refreshments are far more appetising than Wolves present fare. Bats nipples, chickens lips, mmmmm
Clive. Spot on. The capitalist machine grinds on. The rich elite continue to profit in the economic peaks and troughs with clever accountants and even state hand outs (the bank bail out) meanwhile the rest of us pay the price with wages frozen, job losses and small businesses going to the wall . To get by some poor souls need cash when the car breaks down. Along come the capitalist exploiters with their gimmicks and loans at massive rates of interest and the cycle is re inforced. Shame on Moxey. Shame on our great name in football. STOP THIS DISGRACE NOW.
Like most of us I was unhappy to hear the news about Money Shop sponsorship. But, this cloud may have a silver lining. I picked up a name on another website and instantly recognised it as a customer of my business, although I don’t know this customer personally. The name is John Patrick Grayken, an American, of Irish heritage. He lives in Kensington in London. He is chairman of Lone Star Fund of the USA. Lone Star is the ultimate parent company to the Money Shop group. He is into football. I’ve spoken to work colleagues today about Mr Grayken and heard he is a very quiet, cultured, generous and unassuming man. He sounds a bit like Sir Jack Hayward to me. If Mr Grayken wanted to buy us, I would be very happy.
He has a fortune of some £6.5 Billion.
Petition signed.
yup signed almost immediately – and so have over 1000 others in under half a day !
I am totally disgusted by the decision to have this company promoted on Wolves shirts for the next 3 seasons. I’ve signed the petition but I fear it will have little to no impact. I despair at the levels my beloved club have sunk to in doing this.
Whoa boy, not the Club, that sleaze bag Moxey brokered the deal.
Nobody will make that connection with the CEO. Nobody will see Wolves players (and no doubt some fans) wearing this company logo on their shirts for the next 3 years promoting the brand and, by association, condoning their business of preying on the poor and the desperate and think it is Moxey. They will see Wolves & they will see the company logo and that’s the connection that will be made. A disgusting association.
