The Wolverhampton Wanderers came a long way from when they first won the Football Association (FA) Cup in 1833 and even more so when the Club was founded in 1877. Since then, this team has won 17 major trophies, 11 League titles, two League Cups, and four FA Cups.
Moreover, although this season has already made it halfway through all the matches, there are still notable dates this April and May. Thus, be sure to keep your calendar updated according to the dates listed below:
April 25, 2023
On April 25, 2023, you’ll see the Wolves against Crystal Palace at 7:30 PM at the Molineux Stadium. Since it was October 2022 when these two teams held their last match, fans are looking forward to the action-packed game this month. Moreover, since Crystal Palace reigned against the Wolves with a score of 2-1, you can expect Wolverhampton to make their comeback!
Last year, Adama Traore played quite the game as he put the Wolves ahead after 31 minutes. However, Wilfried Zaha and Eberechi Eze made second-half goals to overpower the Wolves. This match became the Palace’s second win in their last seven games of the season and, ultimately, a massive helo as it cemented them in the tenth spot.
The upcoming match will be one to watch as these two teams will finally have a face-off. This makes it even more exciting for fans watching the game and betting on sports too. Nonetheless, keeping track of the matches allows you to enjoy a game, watch the action-packed field, and see your favorite team win!
April 29, 2023
It’s the Wolves against Brighton and Hove Albion on April 29, 2023, and this match will happen at the Amex Stadium at 3:00 PM. It was last year when the Wolves and Brighton last had their face-off – and it offered plenty of entertainment for fans. During this game, midfielder and defender of Brighton, Pascal Gross, sealed a late victory of 3-2 against the Wolves.
However, the Wolves also had a fair display of defense as they resisted Brighton. Likewise, the Wolves trailed with an early goal through Adam Lallana, Goncalo Guedes, and Ruben Neves. It wasn’t until the 83rd minute that Brighton and Hove Albion pressed hard to retaliate and make a breakthrough.
May 6, 2023
The Molineux Stadium will witness another exciting match as the Wolverhampton Wanderers will face Aston Villa at 3:00 PM. Moreover, this match will be held next month on May 6, 2023, which gives you plenty of time to get your ticket if you want to watch the game personally.
The Wolves have a lot on their plate, as the last game on January 5 ended with a draw. Aston Villa substituted Danny Ings, who grabbed a late goal to secure a 1-1 point draw. Likewise, the Wolves had an early lead, where winger Daniel Podence showed a little tricky footwork to boot before firing a left-footed home.
Additionally, Podence displayed great effort after veteran Joao Moutinho passed the ball, quickly moving it to hit it into the net from a difficult angle. Although the last match ended in a draw, the Wolves have improved since then, and you can expect the team to work their way to win the upper hand this May.
May 13, 2023
At Old Trafford Stadium, the Wolves will face Manchester United on May 13, 2023, at 3:00 PM. During the game last January 4, 2023, Wolverhampton reigned supreme again against Manchester United with a score of 1-0.
During this game, Joao Moutinho showed his potential by pushing with an 82nd-minute strike, earning the Wolves their win. Additionally, the Wolves manager Bruno Lage praised the game, saying it was a precise performance from the Wolves from the first minute — and he was right!
May 20, 2023
May 20, 2023, is another date to list, as the Wolves will face Everton at 3:00 PM at the Molineux Stadium. Moreover, the Wolves won the last December 2022 game between the two teams. Here, Rayan Ait Nouri shone with an effort into stoppage time with a 2-1 victory.
Additionally, Nouri led the excitement as he scored from close range at the back post, a move that greatly sparked wild chants from fans. Although Everton hit the front inside and scored their first goal in seven minutes, there’s no denying that the team who shone best was the Wolves.
May 28, 2023
May 28, 2023, marks the last game for the Wolves. You will see this team against the Arenal at 4:30 PM at the Emirates Stadium, the last venue that’ll tie the Wolves season at its end. Moreover, Arsenal won the upper hand in their last game with a score of 2-0.
The Wolves were doing great during the first half of the game, but the Arenal stopped this during the second half. Although this was a devastating match for the Wolves, there’s no telling what will happen during their match on May 28.
