If like me you’ve grown weary of shelling out 40 quid a year to promote payday lenders, you’ll probably be interested in what Classic Football Shirts have to offer.

They stock various shirts from illustrious (and not so illustrious) seasons past. You can see their full range of Wolves shirts here.
Funnily enough, they even have the ultra rare (not to mention hideous) shirt a collector contacted me about last year (as long time blog fans may recall). See that story here.
Anyway, they’re offering one lucky Wolves Blog reader a £50 voucher to spend in their online store simply by answering this one ludicrously easy question:
Who is Wolves all-time top goalscorer?
To enter, just visit their website here and fill in the form, including the correct answer. Entries close on the 31st October and the winner will be announced shortly after.
Best of luck!

I visited their site but I did not see a question even though I had to give an answer lol
And you probably got it wrong, Chalkie!!
Everyone knows the answer is Stephen Ward
lol. The easiest answer in the world mate. I went back on their site just now and I still can not see a question. So the answer I gave is probably incorrect lol.
Was it Stephen Ward?…..
don’t ask, for whom the bell tolls. It was Wardy !
Tomaz Frankowski ?
For those who think Stephen Ward is the correct answer, I got some oceanfront property in Arizona you can buy.
Not Haiti?
Is that a red card?
Some bloke Matthew has been clearing some ground in Haiti, prime real estate ripe for building.
Hey! I thought I bought that off you last year.
You can’t sell it twice you know.
You never came over to sign the paperwork, despite many invitations, and there is the little detail of money.
You never sent none, so back on the market it goes!!!
Michael Branch I think.
Oh! Sorry! You said GOAL scorer.
How much Olive, I lovea a sea view !!
Bull
Richards
Dougan
?
You forgot the one and only Steve Claridge.
Talking about leading goalscorers, makes me sad that w don’t really have a player a) banging in goals right now, or b) being likely to get close to the 100 goals for the club threshold.
Too many players looking for a big move once they get recognition…
Was it Ray Hankin ?
I still am confused as to why Stephen George Bull BEM does not have a son who plays football and who will score goals for us like he did. After all no-one can say his 306 goals for us (with 18 hat tricks) can’t be beaten …………… but by whom?
MBE even. He will be miffed that I downgraded him.
Wolves Home Shirt 1979-1982 for £150.00????? Shit – guess mine is going on ebay tonight lol
No one is going to buy yours, Chalkie, size : extra, extra wide and extra short??
Maybe Snow White will, for one of your vertically challenged mates, eh?
I’d buy it, the extra wide, extra wide, extra wide is OK but need the short changing to long shanks length.
Billy Livingstone? Norman Bell? Colin Taylor?
Our very own super sub….
Norman, Norman, Norman Bell, Norman Noram Bell
With my wife having spent the past two nights in hospital and me being back on a takeaway diet I have realised many similarities between modern day football and the NHS.
For a start it all seems to be about money these days. No money means no resources means you deliver a woefully inadequate product. At least 72 clubs would identify with that I guess – or maybe just 71 now as we do now have money and are improving.
Secondly you populate your team with foreigners. Most of the nurses seem to be Spanish, Portuguese – another similarity with Wolves anyway! – or Filipino. All lovely and doing their best but just not really of the quality required. None would be good enough for the Premier League that’s for sure. A bit like an English player trying to converse with a new foreign teammate I used my best pig-e-on Spanish to try and find out about my wife’s medication. As far as I could make out a filigre Siberian hamster might have been involved.
Then you also get a strange mish-mash of people thrown together in the same side though clearly there appears nothing to link them. A bit like the current England team or maybe even the Sandwell Shadow Dwellers. So you end up opposite an elderly lady with dementia who is awake all night ranting about how she she hopes the rest of you all die. Or when the elderly lady next to you sadly passes away and her body lays there for four hours.
Even the head honcho does a passable impression of a modern day football CEO – yes Moxey I do mean you – as they do not communicate, speak in broad abstract terms and at the end of a ten minute conversation have actually said absolutely nothing. Perhaps the message was that I should think myself lucky to have a hospital.
You also get the same stop-start process popular with many club owners nowadays where you change tack at the drop of a hat. So at midnight you get woken up to be moved to a different ward because your bed space is needed for someone else. More changes than the Leeds United manager’s job.
It has all made me pine for the heady life of an elite top 6 Premier League club aka a private hospital. Obviously that costs and so we are back to money again.
Now like a principled football manager – there are a few left – who resigns his post rather than struggle on in the face of overwhelming odds even though that means being out of a job my wife will be discharging herself this afternoon preferring to be at home rather than struggle on suffering in there.
The days of Carry On Nurse with cheerful, caring, well trained nurses and doctors looking after their patients ably are long gone. Then again football was a lot better in the 1960’s and 1970’s too.
Sorry that you’ve had such a time of it Bedford.
When I went through my little problem recently I really couldn’t fault any of the treatment I received.
The consultants told it like it was in a language I recognised and the staff were brilliant and really cared.
Having said that, I was an out patient and I know that conditions on wards can be pretty distressing. They say that you have to be in the best of health to be able to stand spending some time on an NHS hospital ward.
Perhaps we need the Chinese to buy the National Health Service.
Give the present Mrs Bedford a big hug from all of us bloggers.
Thank you young man. Much appreciated.
Not the quality required? What you have with them is better than what you have without them.
And do you really think top players are going to move to Wolverhampton, no offense, and play in the Championship when they can stay where they are and play in their top divisions?
Not move to Wolverhampton? Heck it’s paradise. Stearman even got his wedding in OK magazine.
On the positive side, once Brexit has taken affect, you will have hundreds of millions per week more for the NHS.
Good old Brexit. The answer to all our prayers.
By the way, I hope your wife fully recovers as quickly as possible.
T H A N K Y O U.
Sorry to see that you have been in the wars Bedford . All the best to you and your wife, from both me and Barbara.
Sorry to hear about your wife Beds, hope all goes well.
Gotta say when my wife was in New cross Hospital wolves, she had the best of care and her treatment was second to none throughout her time with the NHS.
A little bit of fast food won’t do you any harm.UTW.
Bedford, I feel for you mate, hope it all turns out OK for you both. I’ve just had 16 wasted weeks with Mrs Somebloke and the bit about saying nothing is so bloody accurate, and low and behold I’ve just started another bout with my elderly mom. Deep joy.
Dooogooder, You are one of the many. It seems so hit and miss it’s crazy.
Commiserations somebloke.
I hope that the outcome for you and yours is as positive as mine seems to have been.
And like a good Wolves fan Bedford ….you will be there for her through thick and thin, good or bad….
Why …. Because you heart is in the right place mate ..!
Thanks pal.
If Bedford Hospital was a football ground it would be called The Hawthorns.
Bedders,
Hang in there, we are all rooting for you.
Thank you buddy. Am always well hung. In my dreams anyway!
Hello Beds,
Have not been on the blog for a few days – weddings and piss ups if you get my drift.
Really sorry to hear that the good lady has been back in the hospital from hell. Speedy recovery is the order of the day.
As I said previously wrote NO NEED to survive of takeaways – you are more than welcome to have some scram round our hovel. It will probably be some form of nourishing Italian/Napoli cuisine prepared by my Mediterranean born wench but hey it will make a change from number 10 with fried lice or a Madras with Naan.
Just give us a bell and the grub will be waiting.
My turn to drive to the Leeds fixture – pick you up at 10.30.
Cheers
BOG
Bedders,
Hope all goes well mate, sincerely. See you at the Leeds match. I will be in the Parkview around 1 o’clock.
Steve
Bedders,
Having worked in the NHS and presenting patients to the killing fields called Stafford District General for 33 years I can only echo your words and sympathise. Everybody is well meaning and try their best, but the standard is not good enough in many quarters, you pay peanuts and all that crap.
As echoed by your friends and fellow bloggers on here, I hope the lovely er in doors improves soon, keeping her at home is not always the worst idea in the world, it’s where she feels comfortable and bloody safe.
A huge Doogle style hug from Jenny & I.
Sorry to hear of your good lady’s ill health Bedford. Hoping for a speedy recovery, at home if necessary.
Trouble is, when you live in a country that spends considerably less of its GDP on health than the rest of the developed world, this is what you get. Can’t be any fun for the overstretched staff either. Kinda like M&M’s parsimonious attitude to team building. Not only do you not attract quality, you lose the quality you already have.
Get well soon Mrs Bedders.
Hope things improve Bedford….
the NHS i agree is an international cock up of nursing staff with no defence too..
Gone are the days of a good no5 (ward sister) who is hard as nails and gets the job done..
I hear that WZ has only two games to get us on track ..even my eyebrows are raised ..
There is another certain manager who would be at molyneux in a jiffy……
(I reckon)
Unless someone offered him some dosh to make a ‘motivational’ speech at the Hawthorns.
Ward’s sister?
God, nooooooo
U lot are all wrong it is
John paskin.
Come on Thomas, get the next prediction bloggo up, I’m getting withdrawal symptums!!
Matt Grayson communications officer has left to join Redrow. Hope we get someone in to make buying tickets easier.
Not many old guard left now.
Onwards and Upwards.
I have no problem buying tickets online mate. I log on, pick my match, pick my seat and it gets uploaded to my smart card straight away. I then get an immediate email confirming it all. Simples. I have been quite happy with the process.
Phone customers get put in a huge queue, and it’s ages until they get answered. One the website you have to know your way around the pages to find all the info that they displayed on the old site on one page.
Still I suppose tnat’s progress for you. You were always a winner anyway 🙂
They once kept me on hold for nearly 40 mins.
Always buy on line now, phone calls are an absolute rip off.
Ten people it isn’t: 1/ Trevor Cleaver off Grange Hill 2/ The bass player out of 70’s punk band The Ruts 3/Hilary Clinton 4/ Bill Clinton 5/ Boutros Boutros Gali 6/ Some bloke who owns a Yak in Outer Mongolia 7/ Esther Rantzen 8/ Lionel Ritchie 9/ Luther Van Dross 10/ Michael Fish

No this is a spare wolves ticket but I ve been told that a lot of wolves have got ” home end ” tickets as that is all they could get , if that’s holt end … We ll have to wait and see
