This has been one of those times when the international break has been handy for Wolves.
It should have afforded Bruno the time to get Diego Costa ready for his debut and to mull over what he’s going to do about the absence of Nathan Collins.

I’m not sure how close Adama Traore and Raul Jimenez are to a return, but if at least one of them is available that will be another welcome boost.
Maybe it’s still too early in the season to place great emphasis on one game, but both teams badly need a result so there’s something riding on this match.
West Ham
I haven’t seen a lot of the Hammers this season but from the outside, there doesn’t seem an obvious reason for their sluggish start.
They’ve still got all the players that helped them finish 7th last time and 6th the year before that with significant money spent to bolster the squad over the summer.

As we know ourselves though, when you reach that ceiling just below the heavyweights, you can sometimes inadvertently slip back when trying to break through.
I imagine David Moyes is trying to finesse some of the new talent into the team without losing the winning formula that has established them as a force in recent times – no easy feat.
Losing to Everton just before the break will have been a big blow to morale and although they have had one of the tougher starts on paper with games against City, Chelsea and Spurs already in the rearview mirror, they would have expected a healthier return against the likes of Everton, Forest and Brighton.
Wolves
Bruno has to shake things up because the balance of the side isn’t right and that probably means gambling on a few players yet to feature.

Assuming he’s not going to persevere with Ruben as a centre-back, either Toti or Yerson Mosquera are going to come into the team. It was the latter who was ready to come on against Man City before Bruno changed his mind so he might well be in pole position.
I would bring Traore into the midfield at the expense of Moutinho. His physicality and pressing may lessen the burden on Ruben and get more out of Nunes.
Neves is one yellow card away from a suspension so Moutinho will be back in soon enough if he does drop down tomorrow.
Costa upfront from the start is a no-brainer if he’s anything close to fit. We can’t go another game without a striker. The front three need to attack the box better and leave the full-backs to give width.
Predictions
Well done to Wokywolf, Rich, Matt Cook and PeteRobbo for collecting three points by correctly predicting the precise level of misery we’d endure against City.
Rich remains at the top of the overall table at the end of Gameweek 7.

Up The Wolves!

Forget the number ‘9’… all we need is three or four players that know where the goalposts and penalty area are and the goals will come. I hope ALL the lads have been doing shooting practice during the international break! Woe betide you if you haven’t!
Anyway, I’m still rooting for the boys with a win… at the cost of staying near the bottom of the prediction league.
COYW
One too many goals Aquilador
Oh and two WH own goals (obviously)
Sitting on the fence mate.
I feel like there’s too much quality in our side to be as consistently poor as we’ve been. That said there are obvious deficiencies that can only be addressed by changing the personnel. There’s a lot riding on Costa or Raul coming in and improving the attack and as stated above I think Traore could prove to be just what we need in the midfield.
West Ham have more proven firepower than us but have only managed 3 goals themselves, suggesting this could be a low-scoring affair.
A draw is arguably slightly better for us than them at this point and I expect them to go all out for the win. Hopefully that will play into the hands of some of our attackers that do better on the counter.
There’s no such thing as a ‘Must Win’ game.
But if there was… this would be one of them.
It’s time for Bruno to:-
“Cry Havoc! And let slip the dogs of war!”
And that means starting Diego Costa.
Two teams struggling to score…..
Yes, we are likely to see a change of personnel this time out to try to find a set up that will deliver some goals. But I am not sure that it is necessarily who is on the pitch that is the primary problem. After all, how many times has been said that we have plenty of quality in the side.
Unusually, I think the MOTD pundits got it right last week. They spotted that whenever a Wolves player had broken forward and was threatening goal, there was no else busting a gut (as the saying goes, usually in a Geordie accent) to get into the box and offer some options. Another body or two joining in at least puts some doubt in the defender’s minds, and who knows, the rebound might just give someone a tap in.
I just worry that when a goal scoring opportunity arrives the whole team joins in with most of the fans in a collective holding of breath to see if the ball is finally delivered into the net.
The good news is – this is easy to solve. Let’s hope Lage also watched MOTD and has a hand on chin moment.
Either that or we need Costa scores a hatful single handedly.
Meanwhile I have to continue to predict disappointing results. It’s not my predicting disappointing results that it causing disappointing results by the way. I’ve scientifically proven that when I tried predicting really encouraging results at the end of last season. You don’t need me to point out that it didn’t work.
“Unusually, I think the MOTD pundits got it right last week. I tend to agree and although I doubt it will elicit much in the way of agreement, this is where we miss Dendonker. At least he got into the box.
Don’t think you needed to be a MOTD know-all and have a Geordie accent to spot Wolves rarely have players crowding in to the penalty area to provide a passing option or on hand to profit from a loose ball.
As we have to assume Lage has also spotted this be must have made the tactical decision to hold back or the players are disregarding their instructions. Both alternatives are a worry. Either Lage is too cautious to achieve a win or worse he has lost the players. We supporters (and Bruno) will just have to hope Costa is fit and has kept the aggression that made defending against him so difficult. If he has we’ve got a good chance of winning.
‘Miss’ Dendonker should be on the back of his shirt!
Missed headers, shots and passes. The only thing that his did not miss was putting his head in his hands after failing to understand how he missed again. Villa and Stevie G are lucky to have him on their bench
I don’t think Match of the Day experts will help Bruno. He appears to do his own thing and have a mind of his own. Last season he tried and failed at 3 at the back and this season he is failing more against what looks like on paper lesser teams.
He also loaned out our best centre back and captain which I think we be his downfall.
He will be able to watch the World Cup applying and talking a good game I think!
We need a better man manager, coach, in game manager and tactician. Don’t like to forecast a 3-0 against but can’t see them being as bad as us all season .
MOTD was not last week of course. You know what I meant.
Never like playing west ham it always sort of does nothing for me is it a challenge or isn’t it a challenge we can always beat them and they can always beat us it seems we are pretty much both at the same level and low and behold neither of us has had a good start and are both in positions we shouldn’t be in so its a bore draw for me and last spot on motd ( which we will still be if we win 21-0 ).
Costa has to start and when he tires around the hour mark I would be bringing Traore off the bench to play a no. 9 role.
This is one of the 5-6 matches Bruno has to turn the season around and which will define our overall season. If he cannot get results then he will be gone by Xmas.
I still believe he can deliver – fingers crossed we can get 3 pts after the poor start Hammers have had likewise.
Can you imagine this run of form going on for 5 or 6 more games, the pressure after 3 more matches will be too much to bear imo and he will be sacked.
A game that is both eminently winnable and,as far as Bruno is concerned, could well be must win.
Fosun have backed him in the market and now Bruno, despite our misfortune with striker injuries, has to start to deliver. I am by nature the patient type but the same old platitudes about good work and patience are beginning to wear a little thin. Even here.
Four points required from the next three games or the pressure will definitely be on.
And rightly so.
A patient man whose patience has worn thin after 7 games?
While both teams are struggling to score, this is a game that both teams desperately want to win, and will take risks! There could be a few more goals that most are predicting, and of course Collins is not there.
I agree, if Tarore is fit I would start him in place of Moutinho.
Costa is a wild card, and at his age won’t be up and down pressing. But get the ball to him, and who knows. I really hope he roughs up their mamby pamby centre backs. I for one, will be cheering every time that happens!
We have played some boring football in recent games, sometimes unbearable so, let’s us hope the break has improved our style. We all live in hope!
If there’s a goal apiece we’ll be doing well
Honestly lost complete hope with Bruno – With these players we should not have only scored 3 goals all season and now my patience is wearing thin. If we lose this game, he has to go.
Should have gone at the end of last season,8 points from the last 14 games played, relegation form by a country mile. No other club in the league would have stood for this woeful return.
Agreed – I was a bit more hopeful then that – I thought a couple of signings and we will be flying.
We have made those signings and some how have got worse.
If he isnt gone by November we are in real trouble.
So why were people saying it was Jeff’s fault last season.
Bruno is the best coach Benfica had in the last 20 years, according to some fans, and I think that is saying something.
Remember what people were saying about Arteta last season. Or Ten Haag at the beginning of this season.
Win a few games and all will be forgotten.
critical game for both moyes and lage, looking for a win for wolves
Should be an entertaining affair with both teams under performing to date.
I think we’ll just shade it and take all 3 points home.
A reversal of last time outs score
A 3 nil shading 🙂
Must be a rugby bloke.
If there’s a time to play WH it’s now get a result and we’re flying 2-2 the Wolves.
Like Leeds? Like Bournemouth? Like Newcastle?
We had the best possible fixture start – that magnifies Bruno being a awful manager.
I still don’t see where the goals will come from.
Hoping we can nick one but with an inexperienced CB can see WHU scoring.
Agreed Steppen
Hope we’re wrong!
UTW!
.
It’s still early doors but I personally think this is a huge game for Bruno. I have sympathy for him in the sense that he had to make do without much backing last season, and now he’s having to integrate new signings long after pre-season has concluded. But, you cannot deny that he is on a rotten run of one win in 14 and that, put frankly, is a borderline sackable offence in this day and age. I’d probably give him until the Forest game but if there’s not an upturn in form by that point, I don’t think there’s a compelling argument to keep him in post.
This could be a good time to play West Ham given their poor start, but they’ll be saying the exact same thing about us. Therefore, I’m going to sit on the offence and call a draw.
On a side note, really intrigued to see how Costa fares if he does feature. It’s a free hit of a signing for us and I’m really hoping he can add a much-needed focal point to the attack. The forward line against City was laughably paperweight and won’t get us very far without a proper forward leading the line alongside them.
he has been backed this season and nothing has changed. Its Blind supporting, to use the fact he wasn’t backed last season. It is no excuse and is going to get us in trouble.
So you are saying it wasn’t Fosun’s fault last year for giving him a bench that sometimes contained U23s?
Almost everyone was blaming Fosun and Jeff and some were suggesting it was the CCP. Now many are forgetting about that and blaming Bruno.
Not sure about Yerson in a back 4, I saw him play in the U23s last season and he looked lost. I would prefer Toti, start with a back 5, Neves is a natural as centre CH with licence to carry the ball out of defence. WH will target a rookie CH and we could end up playing catch up, as against Man City. A game we can win but both sides won’t want to lose and it could be a stalemate. Adama may be the key, if fit, but only if Costa is on the pitch. I would introduce both as subs on the hour. I can never predict a loss, so a narrow 0.1.
Adama to repeat the Lightning strike to win it at the death.
A bit off topic
I don’t know about anyone else but I feel a sense of relief that were coming out of the international break.
Does anybody actually enjoy international football? For me it’s an inferior product that comes around far too often. Yep, I enjoy the World Cup & European Championship but all the dross served up for the rest of the four-year cycle I can well do without. Perhaps if we stop paying lip service by watching the crap that’s been served up the last couple of weeks then that might make FIFA think again and we could get back to watching the stuff we really care about.
Couldn’t agree more …. I was glad to see Declan Rice run himself into the ground though, good for us !
There’s an optimistic look to your starting eleven, Thomas. I can’t imagine Bruno will start Traore and Costa, although I hope he does, but I predict they will only be super subs for the last 30 minutes or so.
Subject to Costa being half as good as he was, I think we have at least as good a squad as the Hammers. If Traore gets his finger out, we are ahead. If nothing else, Adama must start playing to achieve a good move in January.
I don’t know if this is a must-win or a must-not-lose match at this point, but Bruno’s luck must turn sooner or later, or he’s history. In my opinion he’s not ready for the history books yet. We will get something from the match, probably 3 points if Messrs Costa and Traore have spark in them. 2-1.
I think you may be confusing what Traore he is referring to. Boubacour, not Adama.
Tongue in cheek hopefully Bruno has spent the break reiterating to the players that the point of football is to put the ball in the back of the oppositions net.
But gut says we will struggle again.
I’d like to see Traore in for Neto if he is fit and Hwang in for Podence, i can’t see Costa starting, maybe on for the last 20min if we are struggling. If Neto starts Lage should be sacked as soon as the team is announced. Personally i think he’s a dead man walking.
He’s a dead man walking till we win two on the bounce – then he’s a superhero.
Ahh football!
Ahh dreams.
Even if we win, if it’s boring Bruno ball i’m still gonna want him out. A couple of low scoring wins aint gonna cut it for me, where we defend heroically and scrape a win.
When we found some form last season it wasn’t really entertaining, maybe against Everton and Watford but the defence won us the games for the most part.
Never mind this game or the next game what the hell is happening with Jimenez. Why the cloud of secrecy over what his injury actually is .
Maybe our new manager will enlighten us.
Groin
Win , lose or draw … l will always want Nuno back. Unfinished business in my eyes . I don’t dislike Bruno but I can’t stand the exile of traora ( I know he’s supposed to have been injured lately ) but when he’s fit he hardly uses him . he’s an amazing talent who any opposition hate playing against !
The whole debacle of Conor returning to training to find himself training with unfamiliar faces … England defender ffs ! Given to a direct rival … and excelling in a back 4 and leaving us desperate for defenders . Even loaning Silva out has pissed me off . He’s on fire scoring for fun and again leaving us desperately short . As a supporter I want to see the good players with their different strengths and talents combined in a contented and motivated side . I’m not seeing that at the moment , I hope the powers to be are turning their attention to replacing Ruben , He’ll be next out of the door .
On a positive note … we’ve still got enough fantastic players to stuff West Ham tomorrow and I’m looking forward to a long leisurely few lunchtime beers and only having to hop on the tube to watch the Mighty Wolves
If Fosun had backed Nuno instead of sacking him, we would be in a better position now. I don’t agree about Silva though, I think he would still struggle for now here in the PL. His loan to an inferior league has taken the pressure off him. Hopefully he will come back ready for the big time.
You might be right but at the end of last season when he was getting a run out, I thought he not only looked a bit stronger on the ball but his confidence looked better and he wasn’t shying off at all , despite the pressure he always seemed to want the ball . You could be right though … there’s always the weight of the molineux crowd to be considered. I suppose that’s a big factor
Nuno’s style of play, which most Portuguese managers employ, will not work against teams at the bottom of the league and therefore we would have continued to throw away 10+ points every season.
Of course, now we know why you have such a bitter hatred for Bruno.
I thought there was a train strike tomorrow.. or have you got special dispensation to loan an underground little baby . ?
Tubes are running … its the overground that’s out twixie
Up the workers!
Have a good un!
I guess every team in the Premier League is a direct rival. Everton will not be anywhere near us in the table at the end of the season.
Nor will Man City. Your point is?
I think we can all relax now…
Well if Costa doesn’t make a difference Bruno is a dead man walking. Fingers crossed it all comes good.
Still going to be a bumpy ride until we get everyone back.
Hwang injured again. About as much use as Cutrone this lad
The optimist in me is excited to have a rugged bruising CF who know how to score. Many thought Mitrovic would not score much this year and although a few years younger than Costa , he is clearly an effective threat. Costa has a much better pedigree.
The pessimist in me is worried that a 33yo who hasn’t played for 9 months is
a) likely to get injured
b) likely to be off the pace
c) when trying to prove he is still tough, mis-time a bad tackle and get a red card.
I hope Costa proves to be an inspired signing, but this match may be a bit early to really get much benefit.
Haven’t got a great feeling about this one. Hope I’m wrong because the pressure really will ramp up on Bruno, particularly if we don’t play well, but I can see it being one of those frustrating ones.
Sorry to echo some of the more pessimistic posts, but just can’t see a victory at the moment. Hope to be proved wrong.
Once again I’ve been gifted a ticket by my friend (he doesn’t support WH; he likes PL football and it was an easy ST buy and WH know use digital tickets which can be sent to anyone who is registered – no membership fee).
This is the breakthrough game!
I’ve really no idea but there has to be one soon, surely?
Bring on the heavy duty players – Costa, Traore.
.
It feels like the wrong move but maybe at the right time? I’m backing Bruno on this one.
Oh for a goal fest.. But we sent him to Anderlecht..
And you think he’d be prolific for us?
Silva is exactly where he needs to be.
If everything had gone to plan he would probably have never stepped off the bench and would probably be on loan now anyway.
We’re fortunate we’ve not wrecked his career.
Hard to feel confident predicting just a single goal.
The big question is,as ever, can we score as they probably will. I’m going for a yes but asking for it to happen more than once is possibly asking too much given the evidence at our disposal.
I predicted Wolves would struggle this season after watching Bruno’s team selections after Christmas , you remember, when we couldn’t win a game of darts let alone a Premier League match. Talk about putting square pegs into round holes. Look what he’s done to our team. Driven Coady out, for free , when he’s still an England player. Neves having to play between Collins and Kilman because they aren’t good enough yet , at the very time we need him in midfield to prompt and shoot when chances arise, because what we’ve got up front is not good enough. Don’t even mention Hwang. You should sit where I do to know what the fans think of him! And playing Pedro Neto on the right against City was just plain stupid. We all know Neto is a one footed pony-left foot only. All his right foot does is stop him from falling over, so expecting him to supply crosses from the right side of the pitch was crazy. When he has had chances to score on the right side he’s failed miserably. I want to see him playing on the left, where he can use his undoubted skills and create chances., with his left foot.
I could go on but I wont. I agree with Dances with Wolves who says the club should have backed Nuno who had the team playing football I hadn’t seen for many a year. And I’ve been a season ticket holder since 1988 in the Steve Bull and stood in the South Bank before that since 1960. I’ve been through a few relegations and I don’t want to go through another. I hope the powers that be at the club get rid of the chief culprit for what’s happening before it’s too late.
To say Bruno needs a result is an understatement whatever the circumstances 1 in 14 is a very poor return. He has been fully backed this season with the change of shape and signing of Nunes. West Ham are struggling as well which obviously means we will have the majority of the game and lose 1-0
My computer says we’ll score, it’s spotted a sequence in these ones and zeros
My canary says “Fock off Bruno”, it tries hard to copy me
I say another defeat but a close one
If we can’t score … we won’t win …
If we concede .. we’ll lose …
With a miss firing frontline and a weakened defence predicting a wolves win is .. well darn difficult…
Even with Diego (the BULL) might not be enough to give us a goal.. it could come down to a defence with some inexperience, to keep a clean sheet…
Fine margins for sure…
On the basis we’re away from home I’m afraid that West ha may just edge it ..
We are on a roll
Upward curve
Invincible defensively and brilliant in the last 1/3 … mmmmm really? … I fear for us here, and the manager on Monday morning, if my prediction is realised … however if an ageing Spanish beast of a footballer can even produce a 25% percentage of his ability last time he played in this division I am happy to be ridiculed for this… but I think we’re going to get truly stuffed at West Ham this weekend…… they’re no great shakes this season themselves and historically we’ve had some great results against the odds vs this bunch of Claret clad muppets but I think these Eastenders are going to be celebrating in the Vic Saturday night and our manager anxiously looking over his shoulder from now on …..
Not enjoying the football this season and fed up of going to away games then the long journey back after losing and not even a good performance to make it feel better.
Like the new Traore. Worried about replacement for Collins. Would prefer Toti to Mosquera but have just read article saying Lage considering using Jonny which I think is a bad idea.
As always I live in hope and cannot predict a Wolves loss which is why I am doing so badly in the prediction league. As I am sure they will score, we will need to score 2 but have no idea where they will come from unless Costa is our salvation (and Brunos).
Greetings from the Bubble…
3 games to
Go and 9 points available before bubble fans emerge into the harsh reality of 10 games then gone
I’ll take 10+ points at that stage and move on
So ; as for our distant cousins of bubble blowers … you will lose! Sorry !
OODCL
No stories of matches against the Hammers anyone? Still think the porn Kings slipped a few quid under the table to get the Olympic stadium. And Baroness Brady is a remarkable business woman apparently. Didn’t do much at St Andrews, the lot of them. Sold the club to some dodgy ppl, and the club is on its knees.
Anyway, I’m sticking with my 2 – 1 scoreline
Don’t reckon we’ll see much of Costa this game. Hope I am wrong. But this is the reason for my prediction.
Boubacar in midfield for me
To be fair We have had some terrible bad luck with injuries Sasa, Chiquinho and Raul have been big losses
Worried about Raul exhausted/injured ? With the injury he suffered who knows what the problem is. Confusion some saying he will soon be fit others saying hopefully he will make the World Cup?
Just hope it’s nothing to do with his head injury which could be a reason for the differing reports.
Anyway let’s be positive Wolves to win this one
Two underperforming teams. Neither can afford to lose so this has all the hallmarks of a draw..
Yes, you might be right here Sarnie, but on the other hand you might be being doubly optimistic. On the one hand to predict us actually scoring a goal and on the other forecasting us to restrict Wham to just one themselves when we’ll be fielding a makeshift defence.
I’d settle for you being right though!
He’s quite simply got to change the line up and shape. He should have done it weeks ago. Hopefully we’ll see costa at some point, it would be great to see him score. I’d probably take a point.
I had it all worked out what I was going to say , then I saw Sandwich wolf’s entry (2 above) and it was EXACTLY the same – including the result !
Looking forward to seeing Costa and Traore up front together one of these days.
It’s the hope that kills you, and despite all evidence to the contrary, I’ve been optimistic for most of Bruno’s reign, but left ultimately disappointed.
For sure there is plenty of mitigation regarding Bruno. Already pointed out above and on many previous posts; not supported last season, different story this Summer.
However, almost unbelievable bad fortune with forward injuries ( jury failed to reach a verdict regarding Sasa as he had a medical history longer than Evil Kneevel’s, so was he a prudent acquisition ? ), has restricted Lage’s attacking options dramatically this season.
That said, 41 goals from 45 Premier League games that he has taken charge of is a big enough sample for any jury to make a judgment on, and I believe he is guilty of leading a side with no shortage of quality, to over a season of underperformance.
I truly hope he succeeds. I hope the break and the arrival of Costa makes a difference. I hope Wolves can turn this dismal run of form around.
If not, Jeff Shi will have had the time to line up an alternative and regrettably little option but to say thank you and goodbye to Bruno by the time we hit the World Cup break.
As for today. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst. I hope for a narrow win.
UTW
Going for a 2-1 win. Our play until we reach the opposition’s box is good mainly and we just need the little kick start to get us going alongside investment in what we’ve known we needed, as fans, for several seasons. I am pleased we have Diego but feel he may need our patience to get up to speed ; or hopefully, not.
I’m suffering enough as it is following car accident last week. For a number of reasons have been unable to keep up with the new/gossip.
It should be a no brainer to start Costa if he is fit enough. i.e. living and breathing.
Think Toti should replace Collins then perm any 7 from 8 to add to Kilman. Sa obviously bewteen the sticks. That should hopefully give us enough to just about pinch it.
Sorry to hear about your accident mate.
Speedy recovery!
I’m definitely going for a Cloive..
Firstly for the big man and secondly as my son in law has a west Ham season ticket and says they have been dreadful this season.
This could be that match ?
COYW…
I was hoping to watch this at the Clarendon in Chapel Ash, but I’m still in Liverpool.
A big match for both sides. I’ll take a draw.
No Traore, Johnny in central defence, and costa on the bench. Another defeat then. Time for Lage to go. You don’t know what you’re doing.
I meant Neves, not Johnny.
time for bruno’s do or die
Hmmm Costa on the bench, hoped he’d start. At least we can put him & Adama on as super subs to win the game.
COYW
I see we’re starting with our monster of a striker up front, Podence. Even better we will be so superior in the air at the back. I give up; Toti played well last season when filling in. ????
I know let’s make sure Neto is crocked properly……
Oh well, game over!
We’re in trouble now. Not one to call for a managers head, but Lage has made a rod for his own back. Coady, dendonker, Saiss, boly anyone of that lot would walk into cb slot. Instead we are playing our attacking threats there. Where is toti?
We’re a goal down in game we need to win why not push neves further forward? Why does it take until half time for Adama to be put on his stronger wing?
Lage has been backed in the window, and as much as he’s been struck by injuries up front, our lack of options at the back is down to decisions he made in the window. If the rumours are right his ego is part of the problem. He needs to go before we’re beyond saving.
Had enough now.
Bruno out. There is nothing good coming from having him in charge. We look sh*t in attack, we look sh*t at the back, even Sa looks sh*t in goal… There is nothing of Nuno’s team left, the one where you felt comfortable when we were defending because everybody knew their job.
As much as we have suffered due to Raul being injured, the players we have brought in should be doing better. This was poor.
Bruno, p*as off. You were a cheap option, and if we’ve spent £40m on Nunes, we can afford better than you. Nobody hates you, you’re just not up to it. Go. Asap.
We’d like to stay up this season.
Mouthino starting… Neto on the right. Neves defending next to kilman. Podence still playing a false nine. I don’t want to pretend like I have the answer or even really have a clue but what he is doing or even trying to do just isn’t working! It’s been long overdue now. I don’t care who comes in after him but lage needs to go!
Can we have Nuno back please
Hear hear!
Hope everyone who called for his head is celebrating the clown who took his place now.
We replaced a king with a jester.
It’s only a matter of time before he is sacked. The team selections are baffling, the football is poor and the players are losing confidence. Transfer strategy within the club is now starting to look equally poor. Please not another manager from the mendes stable even though It is hard to think of anyone who could make us more impotent right now, so even change for the sake of change is better than doing nothing.
Please bring Nuno back.
Like the vast majority of Wolves supporters writing in we all think that Bruno has been given enough time and money to produce a team that should be in the top half of the premier league instead we are languishing in the bottom three. I will never understand the thinking behind loaning Coady out to a direct opponent in the league let alone the attributes he gave us when playing for us. The nightmare performances from the last half of last season and the commencement of this season have been poor and if the person in charge during that period could not and has not shown any improvement whatsoever then someone else should be brought in to try and motivate the current squad into better team performances
OMG.
Clueless team selection imo. If he wants/needs to play those he selected then at least play them in their strongest position.
I am aghast.
Bizarre team and positional selections. We have enough good players to be far more effective. I suspect someone is being lined up to get a tune out of these players. Bonus for me is that Diego looks to be able to do a sound job as he regains match fitness. Liked Traore in his right position and his namesake looks useful. Again, Moutiño stayed on when his legs had gone. His favoured players just flummox me. Ridiculous to be in this position imo…
I was behind Bruno till this match. Unless the likes of Toti have gone seriously backwards what the hell was our playmaker doing at centre back? And isn’t it funny, when you put Traore into his correct position all of a sudden he looks a threat again.
Costa doesn’t look fit yet – looks like he’s got paid bit of weight to lose but him and Traore (if he’s still around in January) look like they might save our season. Chances are thou, both him and Bruno will be gone.
Do you remember the joker who posted on here a few weeks ago that we should all be writing letters of apology to Jeff, Scott and Bruno? Honestly, I have been trying to draft mine but I keep getting writers block at the word “shambles” in my first sentence.
who will be Lage’s replacement? Rodgers will be good, Pochettino, or Rúben Amorim if we want to stick to the Portuguese
Get Ange in from Celtic he’s done a brilliant job there they were in a awful mess when he took over and also he will bring Jota with him he is far to good for Scotish Premier.
