Four months into the Solbakken era and the soundbites are beginning to sound suspiciously McCarthy.

Great effort. Real fighting spirit. No points.
Not good.
He’ll know that apologies, platitudes and hard luck stories will do little to appease the faithful with our winless run now extending to seven demoralising matches.
Whether Christophe Berra’s dismissal midway through the first half was the correct decision (most seem to think it wasn’t), the fact still remains we allowed Watford (and Troy Deeney) to force the situation in the first place.
Ten men or eleven on the field, the same problems persist.
Stretched at the back by pace. Laboured in possession. No penetration going forward. All very concerning.
Bakary Sako remains a positive and whether or not his unlikely equaliser was down to a moment of brilliance or a terrible misjudgement from Manual Almunia, he’s always the man making something happen.
With that in mind and looking back to our previous win, against Blackburn at the start of October, perhaps we should revert to that game plan?
Pack the midfield, dominate the ball and free up our one big talent to do the damage.
If not a change in shape, then what can be done with personnel?
It’s said that players become better when they’re sitting on the sidelines and that must be true because Frank Nouble and Razak Boukari are rapidly assuming Pele-like status in my head.
I maintain that the forward should be given some involvement. If we don’t try, we’ll never know. He was amongst the substitutes today, but again unused.
Boukari did zilch prior to a stint on the treatment table, but I’ve convinced myself he’ll be the solution to our one-paced woes upon return.
Whatever the solution is, something has to change.
Ståle will be hoping it’s a change of luck.
Keeping eleven on the pitch would certainly be a start.

It is worrying,we could well soon be in a relegation battle. It is ok saying we are changing our style of play, but surely we need points on the board above all else. Seems to me we concede far to often by getting caught on the break .Clearly we need a greater goal threat, only 4 shots on target. Difficult days(once again) to be a Wolves fan.
Despair.
I can’t take 3 relegations in a row again.
This team (and Squad) are the worst we have ever had. They couldn’t beat Chorley.
The scandinavian experiment has FAILED. We stuck with Docherty too long. Lets not make the same mistake again.
Premature to say the experiment has failed I think mate.
I do think we should be doing better than we are, but it’s too early to be calling for anyone’s head.
I agree with you Thomas.
Whether we like it or not Ståle needs time.
As most of the posts indicate, the problem lies with mismanagement at board level.
Doumbia and Sako are our best players.
In fact Sako is potentially far better than Jarvis.
We need to get a replacement for Ward, SEB & a new right back minimum.
January I don’t believe will see many changes.
By next season we may be ready to challenge for promotion.
I certainly don’t think we will be relegated.
To a Wolves fan in his 40’s, this is all looking worryingly familiar. We are in a relegation battle and anyone who thinks otherwise is delusional.
I really can’t see us going down mate. We’ve been poor of late, but we’re not ‘that’ bad.
Ipswich are third bottom, 9 points behind us with a goal difference of -25.
Wolves GD is still level on 0, despite the recent plummet.
Goal difference isn’t what relegates you. MM won’t be worried about that as long as his team can win 2 out of 3 at home. Ipswich won’t go down.
We’ve won 1 in 9. We need to win 1 in 3. We’re not getting anywhere near enough shots on target to win any games.
Who are we going to beat ?
Forest next week. Lost 1 in 9 and Guedioura to haunt us (if he’s not suspended). I’d take him over Davis or Forde right now. We’ve got no chance. Doesn’t matter who SS picks. The method is much a problem as the players. For this league ,forget the fancy Barcelona passing. 2 wingers, a good big centre forward like erm… FLETCHER. Play it long and play it fast. Just like watford did on the break.
We won’t go down. The teams currently in the bottom three (plus the Blouse) are all worse than we are. Sako alone will be enough to keep us ticking over. But you’d be right to think that we’re not that much better. Right now, I’d settle for any finish above 20th.
[Somehow I will feel a twinge of catharsis, even vindication, if Guedioura plays a blinder and scores against us next week.]
Mmmmm……big assumption there i.e. that Sako will stay in January. Here’s how it goes, WW are below mid-table showing no prospect of promotion this year, PL club come in with £8-10m offer, Sako says “I’m ambitious” , Moxey says ” we want to keep our best players”, to and fro for 3-4 weeks, Sako hands in transfer request, Moxey says “if a player wants to leave, there is little we can do to keep them”, Sako is sold at the 11th hour, SS doesn’t have time to find a replacement, Morgan puts the money into “the war chest” . Sound a familiar story ? I’d trust Fred West to make a better job of laying my patio than I would Moxey and Morgan to running a football club.
Nice one – sadly it could be true – we’ve heard it all before so it wouldn’t surprise me, that’s for certain.
Yes, if Fred was around he could lay my patio, with half a dozen of the present squad as the foundation.
Then you could shove a hosepipe up Moxey’s fat bottom and use him as a water feature.
Very disappointed and worried where the next performance, never mind point, is coming from.
Someone – maybe Forest – will spot that we are a one man team and target Sako. With Daley as fitness coach, I would predict that Sako will be injured before Christmas.
So No Sako. Still think we will stay up ?
Blouse will stay up. They are better than us and they will have millions to spend in January.
“I really can’t see us going down” – famous last words. I would really like to see some evidence to support that statement Thomas.
9 points above the relegation zone and 6 points behind the play-offs. Add to that the fact that there are some awful teams in the Championship (cue ‘including us’ comment from someone) and I’d say we are not in a relegation battle – so therefore I’m deluded? I think I’m right in saying our form is the worst in the Championship and that is unacceptable but we will not be relegated and we will win games again.
As for the game…frustrating. Immensely frustrating. By all accounts Berra’s red was a harsh one but 7 games without a win? This HAS to stop!
How do you think it looks to a fan in his 60’s
Mate, didn’t you say we should be looking at automatic promotion after the Blackburn win?! We were always mid table tripe and so it remains. Fact is, if you bring in 28m in sales, boast tens of millions of parachute payments, Morgans promised millions and you spend 10m, then you’re fucked. Pure and simple.
The owner of our club places money over history (as seen in the disgusting museum prices) and building houses and a stand over a football team.
The Albion on the otherhand…go figure
Fair play to the tescos, they’re doing brilliantly right now – but frankly I couldn’t give a toss about any Premier League team ’til we’re back up there facing them again…
I’m presuming you give a toss about idle, amateurish club mismanagement to the detriment of bragging rites over a club which once boasted Jason Van Blerk? I give a fucking toss!
ben as ever you couldnt have put it better!! i too thought the parachute payment was to help us return although it seems to have been soaked up by anything other!! and so right about albion..there lies a really well run club by obviously experienced men at the top…hang your heads in shame dumb and dumber!
Ben, reading that comment makes me wish I’d given Steve Morgan a piece of my mind when I saw him at Euston station yesterday. He may be a shrewd businessman, but when it comes to running a football club, our Steve is a rank amateur.
Fortunately for me, I got a free ticket for yesterday’s game – I feel sorry for the poor souls who paid good money to watch that tripe!
Its not looking good but just sacking the manager isnt always the cure all that some fans take it to be – havent we tried that fairly recently ? He wont be sacked for some time yet anyway.
Like others i would like to see more urgency in bringing new players in.
On the rivalry with albion i have never lived in the heart of the blackcountry and have just always thought of them as an insignificant club.
just seen sending of on TV. Dreadful decision, along with penalty last week. hopefully we will have our rub of the green with big decisions soon.
it is awful having to listen to the continual gloats and contempt Albion fans are showing towards us at the moment. But they are really showing how you can run a club with a fraction of the resources of the the top teams. I dare so many of their players may well have been available to the Wolves at some point, yet once again the amateurism and poor management of Wolves meant we missed out. We might mock them that we have a better stadium and facilities but i know which i would prefer at the moment. Give me 4th in the premiership anytime than this dross Wolves fans are being subjected to.
What’s happened to the individual player ratings, then? All at sixes and sevens?
It’s my fault mate. i was at the darts at the Civic, got pissed and didn’t get round to phoning Dave! I’ll do it later today!
How can a shockingly bad pl squad be that much better in the championship ? Time to clear shop , give it a year or two even….. Get a style that can consistently compete at the top level, we were all spoiled one mediocre and two painful seasons in the prem. we’ve gotta build properly, I think we have the right manager just the two muppets pulling the strings are gonna fuck us …….it’s so frustrating
I’m starting to think this Manager hasn’t a clue in the English league.
By his own admission he tried 3 different formations after the sending off, and none of them worked.
How do we find ourselves in such a mess after 2 seasons ago we beat Man Utd, Chelsea, Man City,…
Moxey has to be held accountable. He is in charge of this Mess, At this rate we are going to be the Richest club in the Football Leagues, but playing in the lower tiers.
But as long as the balance sheet shows a profit all is well with the world.
I bet the baggies make a healthy profit too, so its about buying and selling the right players..
Something we seem totally unable to do.
All the soundbites coming out of Molineux now are trying to Dampen expectations.
2 or 3 transfer windows the manager says… How long !
As for “we need points not Praise”, that’s straight out of the McCarthy book of management Quotes.
Maybe Solbakken has been reading it after working with these players.
Either that or he is simply no better at this Level.
Dont believe there is any money in Wolves FC bank account. I suspect any profits have been and will continue to be syphoned off into Wolves Properties Ltd or Morgans offshore holding company or one of his myriad subsidary companies.
The whole sorry mess stinks of a classic asset stripping excercise.
So, for £10 & a piece of paper that says Wolves FC own rights to £30m worth of shares in an UNLISTED company, Morgan now has a 999 year lease on the area around the Mol plus planning permission to develop it, owns the freehold on the four year old training complex at Compton, the freehold on 50 new exec homes being built at Compton, cash into the building company/s who built the new stand & are building at Compton, c £20m profit on this years transfer dealings, £49m for finishing bottom of Prem, parachute payments, season ticket sales & commercial/sponsorship income.
Nice work if you can get it!
Bloody hell Scooped, that all sounds worryingly feasible .
For me Martin, the real agenda at Wolves is to milk the cash cow dry. The cash cow Morgan got his hands on for nothing.
That’s why we have steadfastly refused to pay the wages that are required to secure quality players, why £18m was thrown into the new stand instead of the squad, why we are charged £7 to celebrate our heritage etc etc etc.
It’s blindingly obvious that running a successful football club is not the priority. If it were, I’m sure Morgan would have got rid of Moxey long ago, that the shambolic fiasco over MMs exit would have been handled better and that we would have invested to secure our Premiership status.
The fact is, until he proves otherwise (and I’m not holding my breath) Morgan just doesn’t care! His loyalties as we all know lie elsewhere.
All we can hope for is that when the revenue streams dry up, he cashes his chips – sells and moves on, hundred plus millions better off for his association with our beloved club. But that be while we’re still getting parachute payments or before he can squeeze evrey last transfer fee for any player on the books.
Ben hit the nail on the head when he talked about ‘alienating a generation’. Morgan doesn’t care! He’s not looking at how many Man U, Man City or (dare I say) WBShit are being worn by local lads. His attention is on his bottom line. Thats it!
I’ve been one of Moxey’s biggest critics on here but I’m now convinced he’s just a fall guy who draws attention away from Morgan. That’s why he’s still there and thats why he gets paid such an obscene amount.
The fans need to wake up to whats going on. But even then, what the hell do we do about one of the biggest scandals in recent footballing history?
Spot on Mate. Classic Asset Stripping down to a tee .. which leads to the North Wales Golf Club scenario . ( which Morgan owns.) Let no other Wolves fan think it’s feasible coz YES its happening in front of their very eyes. All his (Morgan) birthdays came at once when Sir Jack handed our club to him for a broken promise. Bastard.
And my spy in the sky tells me Kidderminster Golf Club is on Morgan’s radar, through one of his best friend’s development companies.
Apparently there is, or was recently, a board meeting to discuss the selling of the prime real estate the golf course sits on, with a nice cash payment to all members to boot, to one of Morgan’s cronies.
Sound familiar?
With regards to the patheitc, relegation looking performances of late.
Blaming Solbakken for the inherited shit he is trying to make into a winning team is ridiculous. If his hands were more tied than they are he would make the cover of Bondage Weekly ( see Ben for details )
You cannot make skilfull, pacy footballers out of lumps of dogshit, and that’s what we have.
Brainless, clueless unadaptable morons, sitting on nice fat contracts, not giving a toss to how they play or can improve, with no brains to see that change will make them better, make the team better, and just might get promotion, where their own financial circumstances will be better. The old bottom of the beer glass syndrome, and not being able to see past it.
Total, total clear out is needed, so SS can bring in all his own men, methods and tactics.
Then we’ll see what he’s made of, but until then, with Morgan and his lapdog gresasel stteering SS Titantic Wolves, we are only getting out of this division one way….downwards.
And, I agree wholeheartedly with Bald Scooped, the money has gone, and we are getting royally shafted.
If I saw Morgan at Euston station, it’s not a quiet word I’d have with him, more a “pushing” contest. Get my drift???
Im hearing lots of rumours that the players are not happy with the style of play and have told stale. Stale has told them this is the way its gonna be. This group of players were bought because they put a shift in not for their football skills. Maybe stale trying to change things too soon. Anyway good to see so many fans on here blaming the robbing gits, morgan and moxey
Well, ok. Yes, it wasn’t great. I made the trip and it really wasn’t great. Although the Wolves fans were awesome and it was quite good fun when the sprinklers came on part way through the second half…cue chants of “My garden shed is bigger than this” etc.
The sending off was right in front of me. It was an awful decision and I don’t think the Watford fans could believe their luck. It ruined the game. However, Berra shouldn’t have allowed him to get goal side in the first place, so please let’s not pretend he wasn’t in someway culpable for his own demise.
Sako’s goal…a miss hit freekick in my opinion which was misjudged by a poor goalkeeper. But, as Thomas rightly points out, the only player making things happen at present.
The defence is very weak and at one stage was described by my Dad standing next to me as “like the Red Sea parting”…unfortunately no footballing Gods making it part here, it was only Troy Deeney.
Wardy…Wardy…Wardy…I have on so many occasions defended him (usually against Clive) but there’s no hiding from it here…simply the worst game I’ve seen him play.
Positives…
I thought Stearman played very well. He looked assured and confident at right back and when we appeared to switch to 3 at the back. Nothing came past him.
I thought Batth was a colossus when he came on and it only backs up what I’ve been saying for weeks…he should be starting ahead of Berra. Give the kid a chance!!
Sigurdarson can be brilliant in my opinion. He needs a bit of luck and more games. Get him on the team sheet for Millwall!!
Johnson played well. He likes it most when the chips are down and rose to the occasion as he did against Brighton.
Another positive is that Boukari is on his way back. I disagree with Thomas on this one. I thought he was good before he was injured and rate him 100% better than Peszko and 500% better than Pennant!! Looking forward to seeing him back.
Finally, it’s not time to say the Scandinavian experiment has failed and asking for him to be sacked…be careful what you wish for!! He does need to get some points on the board, though. Maybe time to play to our current players’ strengths and leave the passing game until he’s had a couple more transfer windows?
Anyway, bring on Keogh and Guedioura…
I thought we are versing Nottingham next? Not Milwall 😛
I had somehow got it into my head that it was Millwall on Tuesday then Forest on Saturday, but yes – Forest Saturday then Millwall the following Tuesday…
Oh well, means I get a longer break before I have to watch them again!! 😉
Thanks for that report Tettenhall. If you don’t go to the game it’s often difficult to get an idea of what happened, given the 10 seconds coverage that entails the BBC football league show. Glad to hear Batth getting a good report – hopefully with Berra out he’ll get his chance to stake a claim to a regular spot.
Whilst accepting the negatives, it’s good to see that as a fan who was there, there were some positives to be drawn. Of all the games I’ve been to this season, I left thinking that whilst there is a lot of work to do there are signs to be cautiously optimistic.
When you isolate results alone, it’s very easy to go overboard with the negativity. How many of the fans calling for Stale to go (can’t believe this is already happening) were at the game yesterday?
maybe we could start a league for profit making clubs…..there see i told you not to moan were top..be playing in europe next season !!!!! one in the eye for albion fans! not
The reason that the powers that be are talking about two or three transfer windows before we start to turn it round is quite simple.
Most of the squad are nowhere near good enough
No other club is going to want them
So we have to wait until their contracts run out before we can get rid.
And, if the players are not happy (and obviously can’t cope) with the way Ståle wants them to play and he is not prepared to change, we could end up in division one before anything is resolved.
Scooped, you have a kindred spirit in me. I have been banging on about this for ages. Will all the fuck ups that gave occurred at molineux, any CEO, which is employed by tge board of directors, would have been sacked. The only reason moxey hasnt been sacked is because the board of directors are happy with the job he is doing. If they werent happy, he would be sacked. The only way we can get back at morgan is by boycotting the matches (something i dont want to do), and not spending any money. I said before, nothing drys quicker than a football chairmans tears. We are being fleeced good and proper!
It must be a nightmare for SS to be picking the Wolves team right now. Just imagine sitting down at his desk with all his men around him.
Ok guys – Goalkeeper – Well Carl’s done alright but still let in 23 in 17 games. At least Hennesey will be back soon. Oh No boss He’s injured again. How did that happen Tony ? And anyway boss did you see the 5 the Liverpool children put past him. Theres always Doris. Only Joking. Could give McCarey a go…. except he’s at Walsall boss getting ready to play for us there next season. Looks like Ikeme then.
Left Back – Ward. Good left back for a striker boss. Must have a real left back. We’ve only got Elokobi.boss. and he’s injured and anyway we’re saving him for next season when we are playing at his level. Ok leave left back; we’ll think of something.
Right Back. Stearman. Keeps playing there boss but really a centre back… well not really but better there than full back. How about Zubar ? As a full back he’s a great winger boss but tracks back slower than I drive to the mother in laws and so leaves gaping holes. How about Foley? Played terrible last time boss but Pennant thinks he’s good so he must be. Did play in the team in the last 3 victories boss. Ok Foley it is then.
Centre Backs. Berra. Ever present. One of the reasons we are going down the league boss. Anyway Suspended. How about Danny Batth boss ? Who’s he ? You know came on last week when Berra went off. Has he any experience ? Played for Sheff Wed last season –got promoted. Sounds too good for us – might show Johnson up. Boss an empty dustbin would show Johnson up. Ok Batth then.
And must be Johnson alongside. Well he’s been here 2 years boss and wolves have won 11 games from 55 since he came. Possible the worst percentage of any player in our history. Best not have him then – probably better with 10 men. Note to self- don’t buy anything from Blouse. . Could try Margreitter boss. Who’s he ? Blimey boss you bought him. Oh yeah forgot about him. Is he fit ? No but he’d be better than Johnson if he just sat on a chair. Margreitter it is.
Right wing. This is easy lads. Peszko – injured boss. Boukari then. Injured boss (Tony – how come we have so many injuries). Pennant then – doesn’t want to play boss. Sick of being subbed. Hammill then. On loan boss. Sako then. Can do boss but who plays on the left ? Sako of course; he’s great. But he’s on the right. Yes I know. He can keeping swapping sides depending on where the ball is. It’s my latest Scandinavian Idea. I saw Tromso playing it last week.
Central midfield. Doumbia And Edwards. Too attacking boss . Need Henry. Suspended Boss. Davis then. Not good enough (for barnet that is) boss.
I’ve had enough of this. Just pick the same team as last week. I’m off to my Sauna
pferdepferde – This is brilliant!
I believe Samuel Beckett came up with a similar idea as a plot for one of his plays.
Except he ditched it because he thought it was too surreal!
I sometimes think that us Wolves fans are like Vladimir and Estragon in Waiting For Godot.
Waiting endlessly for the arrival of someone who is going to make everything OK.
Unfortunately, he never turns up!
When Sako inevietably gets injured as teams will now go after him, its shit street for Wolves. A bIg cash investment in January is a must, also if we can afford a good Manager do it now rather than waiting until its too late.
Is Salbakken being charged with vandalism for breaking the dugout? Passion yes but this is not the professionalism required when your supposed to be a role model.
I’m glad he did that, would you rather him show no passion at all? Stop being a wuss.
Love or Money . Look at The Premiership Table and ask which Clubs have a Chairman with either one, the other or both. Then ask yourselves what does our Chairman bring to this club ? I can’t see anything but failure until that changes.
I am going to break ranks here and say if the position hasn’t improved by the January window, then we should abandon the continental experiment. I am also gonna grovel and say lets take a leaf out the Albion book and do what they did when the rot started to set in.
Matteo had lost 6/8 games on the trot and they sacked him. It was no coincidence that Hodgson was about to get the sack from Liverpool also. They had probably done their homework behind the scenes and knew he would come to the Albion. The rest has hey say is history. They assessed the situation and acted quickly. Wolves to need to be assertive and act quickly also. Especially with a top manager likely to become available very shortly. IE Mark Hughes. People might wanna shoot me down here , and i hope i am wrong, but i don’t want to have to say ‘i told you so’ come the end of the season.
Lets not repeat the mistakes of the last 2 years with mad mick in charge. When everyone knew we should have change much sooner. The club cannot allow itself to become a laughing stock of the West Midlands again. Too many years now we have been ridiculed as a club by local opponents on and off the field. The fans deserve better.
The problem is that the shit have a management team who actually care about their football club, whereas we have a shit management team who need to be beaten about the head with a club.
I really hate to write this, in fact I’m crying as I do, but you have to give them credit where credit is due, and I actually want them to do well, so it will be all the sweeter when we get back to the Prem and stuff them 5 – 1 at home on our way to the title.
Great thought, but I don’t think you or I will be around to see it happen.
And I don’t mean that we will be going away together to a desert island where there’s no telly or Wolves blog.
Anyway, I’ve heard that you snore.
I rate Hughes although he is struggling at the moment and with players he has brought in rather than ones he inherited. IF he were to come here he would want money to spend and he has made it clear he would want a club to match his own ambitions. Can you honestly put your hand on your heart and say Wolves can do that – with M&M in charge? No fc*k*ng chance.
I’m as frustrated as anybody but I think we need to give Staale a bit longer yet.
I’m frustrated because a squad that wasn’t cut adrift in the prem, until TC took over, are now languishing in the bottom half of the championship. OK we’ve lost Jarvis but Fletch often didn’t start and Kites was out injured until Jan.
Yeah – you have to hand it to them up the road.
Could be worse. We might have lost 0-6 at Leicester!
Why is our club slowly dying?
Why has there been no real investment?
Decision making at Board level woeful why?
Why the fuck am I going to the Forest game?
Morgan a statement required, quickly followed by action.
What you’re never expecting a statement or any action from Morgan are you. .. get real kind sir. you’v e got as much chance of this happeninbg as Helen Flanaghan winning a bush tucker trial .. NONE.
who is this flanaghan
this is how twill be …we will win some but lose most ,our better players will leave .the dross will stay, morgan will sell, moxey will leave and we will be back where we were ten years back…whilst the albion will have improved year on year leaving US for dust! should have stuck to building houses morgan . if you had spent the money on building a team instead of THE TOWER OF BABEL for your portfolio wed still be in the prem . arrogant arrogant arrogant!
We have plenty of money in the bank, so lets loan out as many of the old guard as we can and get as many continentals in on loan. By doing that we will quickly see if the SS experiment will work .Say by 2014 . We can also assess players to sign for next year. If we don’t and instead we run down all the contracts it may be 2015 before we know if the experiment did not work, gates could be down to 16,000 ? We may even be in Division One ( or worse) . So we start again and it will be 2020 before we can think of being a top flight team ! We have to push this revolution, but who will push it ? Morgan is getting more involved with Redrow and Jez can’t push anything football related as he doesn’t have the right experience.
Did anyone on here go to Solbakken’s Q&A session at the ground last Thursday night? I did not, apparently it is being broadcast on Monday night at 08:00PM on Radio WM.
As for the winless Wanderers, Solbakken’s clearly got to have more time to work with the players. Besides who would trust our board to change a Manager after last season? W’ed probably end up with a steward being given first team duties as that’s what the players wanted.
Has anyone ever tried to contact Morgan or Moxey to air their views? Surely if someone wrote to them demanding a statement they would be compelled to respond. Perhaps it might need a collective approach to make them feel obliged to respond. It needs a group such as this one or others to ask the difficult questions. If a business is failing shareholders have the right to ask difficult questions. The supporters deserve answers.
Major Change does not happen overnight………it ALWAYS … ALWAYS gets worse before it gets better.. : ) ….its going to get better ,you can feel it……
CHELSEA….spent close to 200M on players and 2 managers in 2 seasons before they won the Championship
MAN UTD. Took Ferguson 4 tough years and Millions spent before they won the FA Cup and saved him from being sacked . (imagine had they lost that day) Be 7 long years before they won Championship.
MAN CITY. Took 3 years and Spent over 200M on players and mananger…..before they won the FA cup, 5yrs for championship.
I admire your optimism however there is a major flaw in you thinking and that’s that none of the clubs mentioned are currently being run by a pair of buffoons!
and us….loads spent nothing to show for it..continued lack of success ….year on year on year..beginning to become boring and we continue to follow the wolves WTID
What !! ??
Has this got to do with Wolves..
How much has been spent by The S**t up the road, Swansea, Norwich, Fulham. to become a premier league team and look like they belong there.
But Fulham wasted money on a Michael Jackson statue. LOL!
Watched an out of form team on Saturday, lacking in any pace and flair and being outplayed by the opposition. No not the Wolves but just as disappointing at Twickenam seeing the Aussies beat England. Never mind we`ve still got the Ashes – for the moment !!
Reading the Sunday papers and looking at the championship on the train home from St Pancras today, how many of saturdays team were in the side when we got promoted all those years ago. Shows how much the division has moved on when our defence is leaking goals and we just can`t score with the current personnel. Who were the idiots who thought we`d bounce back with MM`s flops, probably the same idiots at the top who made a accounting profit but failed in every other aspect of football business, and as Scooped has said, have taken the cash but not spent it where it really mattered, but on real estate for the other parts of Morgans empire.
I think we must wait now untill january befor we call for stale’s head and if we don’t see any improvements at all with the way our club is being run then we should start a movement to get rid of that fat fuckin moxey who to me has been the problem for to long long time at this club with his penny pinching and grabbing methods to fill his own pockets and empty our’s.
Morgan is STILL a RED. Somethings gotto change soon or we are doomed.
The whole situation at wolves can be summed up in a few words. Our left back! We have one left back. The said left back is a centre forward. We have no real cover. We had elokobi, but he was loaned out and unfortunately got injured. We have not been linked to anyone, even on loan. It defies believe. I havent got anything against ward personally. If the board were serious, we would have a proper left back.
If our only problem was filling the left back position, things would not be so bad. But sadly we have more problems than that.I noticed Watford’s second goal came from the right ,yet again, and you just wish someone would stop those crosses . So I agree defensively Ward is a liability. But even when it was 11 against 11 how many chances did we create, not enough, and it has been that way all season. How many goals are our strikers going to score.A team with strikers who do not score, is a team in big trouble.Failure to bring in a decent quality striker this Jan will be a big mistake and condemn us to another relegation fight. But is anybody listening or even bothered in the Boardroom.
We have a striker in Nouble who isn’t even being given a chance.
How much worse can he be than Doyle or SEB.
I hate to think how poor Nouble must be in training for him not to get a look-in ahead of “Can’t hit a Barn-door” Doyle and “Fatty, thanks I’ll have another” Blake. Talk about over-rated and over-fed.
And notice how the goals have dried up for Cassidy know that it’s been mentioned he’s coming back in January?
Johnok, we cannot wait till January. A new manager will need that window to bring in players. We made the same mistake last season, waiting till after the transfer window to get rid of a manager who we all knew was a dead man walking. Solbaken has to boxing day for me.
I cannot believe people are calling for Solbakken’s head in November!
It is very short sighted to think that if we had someone else it would be different.
It wouldn’t.
They also would have to work within the constraints of the Board.
Isn’t this why Curbishley wouldn’t come?
The problem is not the manager but the personnel, which is determined by the club’s financial structure.
Unless the board ‘allow’ the manager a greater degree of autocracy then we are in trouble as results show!
Frimpong has joined charlton on loan until jan.
Yes, odd how he is “fit” enough for them but not for us. Wouldn’t he have gained match fitness playing for us?
If we don’t take him with Henry out suspended we never will.
20 years old and brought up in the Arsenal passing style which I understood we were trying to emulate.
Did well for us in the prem last year and wanted to return.
Sorry, but I just don’t get this one.
seen the best now the crap
