Although this screwball game of Premier League football once again highlighted the crippling deficiencies of Wolverhampton Wanderers, it also served to show what might have been.
Defensively, we left our calling card.
Too much space, no closing down, non-existent marking.

Stand off. Stand off. Stand off.
It’s amusing to think that last season we were accused of being ‘overly physical’. Without doubt, a major problem with this current Wolves team is their aversion to ruffling feathers.
There’s just no menace, no desire and no hunger to win the ball back. The opposition do what they want.
When that’s the case, good players and good teams punish you. And for 15 traumatic minutes, Swansea did just that.
A fourth goal just before the interval after Steven Fletcher’s fantastic looping header dragged us back into the contest seemed to be the definitive nail in our coffin.
But as bad as the first half was defensively, Wolves trumped that in the second with a fantastic display of attacking football.
All of the goals were well constructed, the pick of the bunch being Dave Edwards cool run and finish after a sumptuous reverse pass from Michael Kightly.
Two other well made and well taken Matt Jarvis goals are proof positive that our offensive players can do enough damage.
The likes of Jarvis, Kightly and Fletcher are good enough for this level.
Our problem is that we’ve just never given them the platform to shine because both individually and as a team, we’re desperately weak in defence.
It’s often said that Wolves lack quality on the ball, but I believe our biggest problem is that we don’t possess enough physically strong players to upset the opposition, thus allowing our better players to show how good they can truly be.
We needed warriors over the summer, players that could add presence and put themselves about.
Presumably, this is what Mick McCarthy hoped Roger Johnson would bring to the fold back in August and what Emmanuel Frimpong would deliver when he arrived in January.
Failure and misfortune are words that immediately come to mind when you evaluate these signings.
They wrap up our season quite nicely too.

great result but about two months too late..
Well, it was an entertaining game with a lot of fight – just about all we can ask for now that results no longer matter!
Roll on Everton – they’re gonna be on a high from the Fulham result!
Couldn’t get excited having witnessed 13 defeats at home. Was pleased for the players but
where did this effort came from?
Very disallusioned after the complete mis-management by Dumb and Dumber.
Fearful that Clipbored will get the job. If that is the case I will not be attending any games at
Molineaux.
Stop taking the piss and get on with it Moron.
You mean Terry Connor? Mark my words, Terry Connor will not be getting the Wolves job even if we win the last two games 5-0! Jex Moxey and Steve Morgan aren’t that stupid!
yeah those two have really shown how astute they both are eh…..
Cast your mind back to the “search” to replace MM. That’s what I call stupid.
They made Forrest Gump look intelligent.
yeah leaves an empty feeling even with all the second half effort…please someone fast forward! only thing to look forward to is the top bras going on the pitch after the everton game-or will they both be skiing uphill on another holiday to avoid the nasty wolves fans singing some awfully nasty things at them . silly me..its because they were too loyal;thats why it all went wrong..sorry totally forgot…….bless their little cotton socks
Have to admit didnt see the game (returning from a short break) but it does sound like an end of season game where nothing was really at stake – still believe there needs to be further change.
Old fashioned width might cut it in the championship but it hasnt been good enough in the Premier league.
Yes, good blog Thomas, and I really enjoyed the game – especially the second half of course. Seems even more of a crying shame there’ll be little or no live Wolves for me next season after that dollop of entertainment.
A more negative view might be that we really didn’t improve much at all in the second period, but instead Swansea lost the plot once Orlandi went off. In the first half he was brilliant (as good a midfielder I’ve seen play against us in the PL) and frequently made us look like clowns. When he was gone so was the Swan’s main outlet and attacking threat. Edwards suddenly came into his own and his goal was one of the best I’ve seen us score in the PL. As you say, it only shows what might have been.
we have the making of a great training centre ,great youth academy , almost great stadium , great financial setup especially with financial restrictions being put out there , really great fans and huge fanbase but the rest is way short of the mark….the club as a whole is so close to getting it right but why do i still feel full of dread at the very thought of next season and what it holds… if we dont have a watertight plan in place and the team ..whoever they will be..find themselves struggling around christmas ……………..??…………prove me wrong mr morgan and get this huge ship of a club floating ; point us in the right direction and get the engines properly fired up so we can come back stronger with ALL the fans back onside and singing from the same hymnsheet. if you cant.. dont even want to go there…please mr morgan!
An enjoyable game.
Kightly, Fletcher,Doyle and Jarvis will stay in the Premiership, I have little doubt of that.
Like others, I have a sneaky suspicion TC will stay.
Until he goes my enthusiasm for Wolves is muted
Good to see Berra get forward and Edwards have a good game.
Everton will beat us on managerial intellect alone and probably Wigan too.
Thank you Mr Morgan, Mr Moxey, Mr McCarthy & Mr Connor, for a champions league performance this year, in how NOT to run a football club.
I bost out loffin’ when I heard the score.
Wolves, scoring 4 in one game, your havin’ a laff!
This was the typical, nothing to play for end of season result.
Once again, Connor shows his selection genius and forward thinking.
If he wants to get the job full time, and he is in a majority of one in thinking that, then surely he should have played a bunch of youngsters, academy players, whatever, just to see what they can do against some gentle opposition.
No, he puts out the same old tired and plodding usual pretenders, probably having been bribed to let them play to “showcase” their talents for any Prem scouts or managers looking for a bargain.
Luckily Mother in Law in St Louis has no cable tv so I aint seen no footie this weekend.
Please someone shoot this season and put us all out of our misery.
FOWB
Can’t argue with a word of that Thomas, perfect blog. I think yesterday’s game really emphasised our problems, we have players who can make a difference in games and a lot of teams who get cut adrift at the bottom don’t have that and struggle to score goals. As you say, giving them the platform to play is the issue, and whereas goals we score always need to be well crafted and taken, goals against us are always so easy. I only watched the highlights, but some of the defending was dreadful. To be honest, I’d keep Foley and hope he can discover his old form, but its time Berra, Johnson, Stearman and Ward found new clubs. We might not replace them with significantly better players, but I think we need to move this lot on and begin a fresh. I also must say on limited viewing De Vries appears very sluggish, just an initial perception.
I watched the extended highlights and thought De Vries had a decent game, made a few decent saves and don’t think he could be blamed for any of the goals. It was also nice to see a keeper whose first instinct isn’t to kick it long, in fact it is the opposite, he’s always looking for a short pass or throw. I think he could really make a difference to how we play next season. Would obviously help if we had a ball playing centre back…
Thanks for your thoughts. We’ll see, early perceptions.
As said our biggest problem this season as been conceeding goals, not good enough and never will be as long as TC’s got anything to do with this club , we can’t measure anything that was done at swansea yesterday by what we have to come next season in the championshite because we all know that most or all of our best player’s will be sold thats a fact, the ones that are left could get us back in the prem with a few additions but also remember that these same player’s failed us this term so would we want to sign them on long term contracts i don’t think so,having said that what chance have we got with the shambles we have running our club with POXEY & CO pulling the strings i mean can we trust them to get it right, but all we can do now is hope that they have learn’t by their mistakes.
I hope by the end of the season we get a new manager and coaching staff, also get rid of POXEY.FOJM,FOTC.
This result and performance didn’t fool anyone.
Brendan Rodgers was trying out a new formation for the first time..
Wolves were the perfect team to try it against.
it didn’t work out for him. He will learn from what went wrong.
As for Wolves Our top players were playing for their own premiership futures.
Morgan OUT!!! Moxey OUT!!! TC OUT!!! Johnson OUT!!!
how poor we have been on and off the pitch is so out there and any sympathy we had for our plight has all but vapourised .. palace have no choice but to play their youth and for a club with no money have done really well in the scheme of things. .talking to a palace fan he told me how , even though he loves his club season ,it is so utterly depressing to know that the best he can hope for is mid table mediochrity season after season….surely the wolves can offer a better outcome next season ..you would think. unfortunately nothing will change concerning the playing staff , coaches , scouts , manager, ceo etc…..and once again we will stumble and creak and groan our way through the season..ending up like a wet fart in a swimming pool. if season after season the defence has been so utterly crap why has this not been addressed? if the problems are so glaringly obvious and have been for so long then what reason is there to be in any way positive?
Old godly you are spot on.
Even more acutely it was self evident when we lost st home to QPR.
That was the Ostrich moment.
No defence equals no attacking threat.
yeah but its obviously only the fans that can see it though . reckon moxey will push to appoint tc next season to get back at the fans..i would not be suprised at all!
I dont think there will be much of a stampede for our best players at the end of the season – we are after all cut adrift at the bottom playing a style of football most other clubs want to avoid.
Ma Hodgson officially being approached for the England job.Never mind they still got the East Stand.
Can we not fuck Connor off to the albion?!
yeah hed get them playing proper football again… the other 21 teams just dont get our playing style do they? just getting better and better,,all we need is another 44 games and wed have got this footballing stuff off to an art..oh yeah thats the championship! wouldnt it be great for the fa to interview tc? yep reckon hes their man.
Just had a great family weekend in Swansea, the only disappointing moment was the opening ten minutes of the match. TC set the team up with 2 midfielders against a team who pass and move thorugh midfield, it wasn`t until the score was 3-0 that TC moved the wingers in 20 yards to play like old inside forwards. With extra men in midfield Henry had some support, and Edwards could run forward onto passes, the defence had some cover, and we looked much better as a team.
Unfortunately this was too little, too late on the day, and about 30 games too late this season. I applaud the players for not laying down and surrendering, and getting the draw, Kightly was immense, as was Henry, but TC, as MM before him got the tactics hopelessly wrong again. Just shows what could have been if some new ideas and strong management had replaced MM.
Maybe we have all underestimated Morgan, lets hope he has had the next manager watching our games, watching all our players out on loan, and has a list of players he needs to get us back up. Maybe he also has now the grounds of absolute failure to sack Moxey and TC , and we fans will get a mission statement at the end of this disastous, joyless, heartbreaking season.
I think the next manager is already watching our games.
As this total disaster of a season draws to a close and despite his appalling record I think it is becoming increasingly likely that TC will be made manager for next season.
Que Sera Sera, what ever will be will be, we’re going to Barnsley, Que Sera Sera.
I was also away for the weekend and due to circumstances beyond my control mainly lousy beer and weather I was able to watch MOTD and see us score 4 goals but after conceeding 3 in the first half. So mentioned earlier “A ball playing centre back” Well yesterdays weather was that bad I was indoors all day so got to watch Chelsea and later on Spurs. How can this be the same league that we are still playing in it’s head and shoulders stood on a tower block above where we are. One final point I don’t think Spurs do enough with the ball when they have it for long periods yes I know the old adage “Whilst we have the ball they can’t score” but 70 odd% possesion 17 shots and only 2 on target, that won’t fly in Europe. the 17 shots is about half the times they had the ball for long periods and it all broke down and came to nothing. Still I wish it was us worrying about 4th place in the prem.
Looks like the English FA want Albion’s Hodgson as the next England manager. Just think about this.
That’s how highly he is regarded by a lot of people within the game. He was snapped up by our arch rivals who, whatever else you say about them, have a forward thinking management team light years ahead of ours. We could have got him instead of them but preferred to stick with a dinosaur of a manager with an appalling record in the top flight and with our team scraping along the bottom. Compare that with Hodgsons achievements both domestically and at international level.
Our club will never be successful until we get the management at the top sorted. People who make shrewd FOOTBALLING decisions. Choosing our next manager is the most important decision in the next few years. What chance will they get it right this time?
Also, won’t WBA be searching for managers that I presume we have been identifying ourselves? Then throw Villa into the mix, who surely won’t retain mccleish next season and we’ve got the potential scenario of feeding for managerial scraps, while our local rivals dine out on the top table. This, despite having a 3month head start on them.
I suspect WBA have already planned for a scenario like this. Moxey would call that unethical and immoral, as he steadfastly refuses to tackle our shambolic managerial situation until the end of the season.
If there’s a managerial scramble, we need to be decisive NOW. (and with confidence in our owners at rock bottom, it’d be nice to know they will be proactive instead of reactive to our far more professionally run rivals)
The solution to our next manager is obvious – Mc Cleish will be out of a job in the summer so why not get him in? Proven track record (complete crap), promotes his own individual style of football (complete crap) and because he’s just up the road he won’t involve any unnecessary relocation costs (complete bargain!). It’s got to make sense to Mr Moxey (complete tosser!).
I can’t see what the problem is.
You’re absolutely right Ben. The s**t up the road will once again give us a lesson in how to go about appointing an appropriate manager in a quick, efficient and proffesional manner. The early names linked are the likes of Hughton, Curbishley, Martinez, Mackay and Powell, as well as some of their ex players. They’ve no doubt been planning for this scenario for months now, we started planning for MM’s departure a couple of days after they stuffed us at home. The clearout really needs to start at the top because if they balls up this next decision they really are going to set us back years and years.
Yeah absolutely right Ben, i hadn’t thought of that. Albion and Villa looking for new managers as well. Even when we didn’t have any competition we couldn’t get one. Clipboard it is then.(Do you think if i went round and garotted Moxey i’d get away with justifiable homicide?)
And yes, Albion no doubt have a contingency plan in place. Every professional outfit does. We didn’t and that speaks volumes.
i think there may be a rather large queue in front of you martin!! Reckon it would need a bloody long bit of wire though to get over his fat head!!!
totally agree!! loads of us on here have been saying we need to get manager in place now but guess what..dumb and dumber knew better AGAIN!! there is a thread all the way through the blogs this season and i think it says the top brass know f all when it comes to football….
If Mr Moxey wishes to move to West Brom, in any capacity (whether as manager or running the burger-stand), I hope Wolves fans will not stand in his way.
Moxey is pulling the strings. Slowly but surely players-Edwards the latest -are wheeled before
the media in support of Clibbored.
Cheap and easy with no nasty interviews.
Moron counting the savings. 12 month contract for The Novice-who Greaseball will point out has managed in The Premier.
Heaven help us.
OK so TC is getting the job, and guess who could be his assistant, why not MM, after all between them they must be the biggest pair of managerial losers in the history of football. That pair were incapable of devising tactics to work in the modern premiership, tactics that would have helped their players actually win enough games to stay up, thats the point of it all – to win matches. Thats the barometer of achievement or not. TC`s record deserves nothing else but the sack, its irrelevant if the training is great, the team spirit is great, but that lot just can`t win football matches, no wonder me, and every other fan who loves this club is so pissed off.
Took me five and a half hours to get back to Nottingham from Swansea on a very wet and windy Sunday, and in good time to watch MOD. The TV `highlights` reminded me how shite both full backs were on Saturday in the first half, particularly Foley, standing off their wingers, not enough pace or physicality to tackle the opposition. Another blog said these two players should stay, why – they can`t hack it in the prem`, so get rid. Another blog said we need more pace in the side, to do that get rid of the players who are not mobile or quick enough, that includes those two. Then do the rest of the side.
Only in Moxey`s little fantasy world could anyone really believe TC has actually done anthing to justify the job some 12 matches ago was it, or for next season. Absolute joke.
very well put…what do us fans know eh?
any out there been on express and star website …sorry but if myy srelling goos rong tits cos i caant stop laffing!! edwards completely behind tc and seems to think performances have been solid…ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha should be on the stage!! is it me or IS everything coming out of molineux complete b – – – -x? thats it lads just continue to give albion fans more ammunition!!!! completely brilliant…
Loaded the blog yesterday to add a comment and then realised I’d got nothing to say; everything that could be said about our current performances on the pitch and predicament off the pitch has already been said. There are so many concerns I cannot make my mind up what makes me most annoyed though I think the propaganda spewing out of the club website is enough to wind up any WW fan; do those who create the narrative for the website really think fans believe it?
Despite everything I’m still looking forward to my last day out at Molineux for this season; with nothing to play for it would be great if TC played the whole reserve team just so we can assess the real strength of the club. Lets hope the ‘farewell TC’ banners are already in production.
Great idea about the fareweell banners Ledbury! At least shitforbrains and fuckwit will know we aren’t going to accept an “out of his depth novice” as manager next season.
Push off, Moxey. You and your cheapjack DNA clan have totally crapped up Wolves.
Mirror saying Wolves eyeing up Holloway – a maverick but his passion would breath some new life into the club and i think he could work with Steve Morgan who is something of similar character ( though not Moxey so maybe he would be gone ? ).
On a good day poor old TC still looks like he might burst into tears.
On a good day TC should burst into tears!
A similar character????? Are you saying Morgan’s an idiot?
Holloway would be a worse than stupid decision. God help us if they put him in charge.
His teams do play good football. That’s not totally stupid. In fact it’s something, i for one, am yearning for. He’ll never get the job though. He’s 100% his own man and nobody’s puppet. Definitely not Moxey’s Wolves DNA at all.
No let’s stick to what we’ve got. Rubbish but sensible.
Why Dave ? Just look at what he’s done at Blackpool with next to nothing and hardly any funds.Holloway would be an excellent shout.
Holloway took Blackpool up and to playoffs this year with no money to spend – that should appeal to M&M.
But Holloway will be in the play-offs, possibly until late May, leaving us behind the proverbial 8 ball, just like we were when Moxey BLAMED the play offs for our 2003 failure.
Not enough time to plan apparently.
What if Holloway gets them up? He’ll probably deff us out, thus leaving the same excruciating scenario we found ourselves in when Mick was sacked.
Compare our ‘waiting game’ to WBAs strategy here:
http://www.expressandstar.com/uk/uk-sport/2012/05/01/baggies-sizing-up-hodgson-replacement/
It is all pointing towards Connor getting the job full time, despite 99 per cent of us not wanting him anywhere near the club, let alone the manager post.
The fact he has presided over some of the most god awful seasons of underperformance in the last 13 years is actually being spun as a great big positive now, as he ‘knows the club.’ Oh, he also looks like he is going to burst into tears every time he speaks, which also means he ‘cares’ and is a Wolves man through and through.
I said when MM went that the first thing the new manager needed was a new number 2, and NOT Connor.
What did the club do? Make some non-descript slap head number 2 and Connor the manager!
That we have won NO games under Connor is being spun as a positive too, as he is ‘getting better’, ‘learning’ and ‘improving.’
God help us if we ever win a game. One swallow will then make Ann Summer, Donna Summer, an Indian Summer and a Great British Summer all in one, to be wanked over for the rest of mankind.
Love it. I don’t need convincing – have said several times I think TC will get the job. There will always be two from Holloway Hughton and Allardyce in the championship after the playoffs. These are possible options but with *** and maybe Villa on the lookout for new managers that tends to shorten the odds on TC further. Yes, summer on the way but the outlook is still bleak.
On a brighter note Curbs and Wilkins are still out there . . . . . . . . mind you, so are Bruce and Megson! 🙁
Totally agree Ben.
The silence speaks volumes in support of TC.
The board know better than the fans apparently.
At the final home game, those attending should make their feelings known, in no uncertain terms.
Unless of course, the ‘supporters’, support this shambles.
The board’s arrogant disregard, for the opinion of the money paying customer, defies belief.
Is Morgan’s arrogant speechlessness, an attempt to turn Wolves fans into Redrow Shareholders with no dividends?
I think so
i really love the wolves but i hate the way our name has been tarnished by the incompitence of most of all moxey …… next pisshead johnson and mr morgans inability to make changes that are needed…great way to run a business !!!
I see that the E?S website says our crap leftback has played every minute of every game this season in the prem. No great surprise then that the club has been relegated. Its been said so many times, but so typical of the malaise at the club, Ward is not and never will be fit for purpose in the premiership. Inadequate players, inadequate management, and thats being kind, oh for a f*****g big broom to sweep those who accept inadequacy and failure as justification for future appointments out of the front door.
I`ll use my premiership season for the last time on Sunday, for first time ever I will be chanting Moxey out, and now it looks like TC has missed the England position, I shall be shouting for him to be out as well.
You leave our Stephen alone!!!
He’s been our most consistent player this season…………..100% fuckin’ shit every single minute of every single game!!!!!
What’s needed?
1. A well funded plan to regain our top status.
2. A proggressive Manager who can appoint his team to achieve the above, and ensure
progress is maintained year on year.
3. Coherence between Boardroom, CEO, players and the Supporters.
Anyone got any belief that the current regime can deliver the above?
FOMORON,GREASEBALL ANDTC.
i reckon the fans have got to let morgan know that we want shot of balloon head NOW whatever it takes!! its the only way he will get it into his head if the fans are chanting for him to go but it has to be continuous through the game.. otherwise we will be in the preverbial next season..morgan is the owner and has to know the man in charge of the stability of the club is wobbling like a jellyfish using a kango!!! moxey out!!!!
Hang on a F*****g minute. What the hell’s going now? Just checked our next manager odds on Paddypower & William Hill and guess what, Peter Reid is now 3/1 favourite. If there’s anything in this, wouldn’t it be typical of the brains running the club. I mean Peter Reid ffs another shite ex Sunderland manager and in his last job got sacked from league two Plymouth who were bottom of the table at the time.
I give up.
Yosser I saw that today and didn’t mention it as it was so unbelievable.
All the hard ups are queuing up behind Clipbored-can you imagine how these interviews will go?
The cheapest and the one who grovels best will get the nod from Dumb and at the moment
even Dumber.
Take no notice of Reid. My son-in-law is in the betting industry and tells me Reids name is just to attract money as is Ince.
I hope you’re right Mick i really do!
Alf i was amazed when i saw Reid was favourite. After all the speculation about Holloway, I was actually looking to see if he was favourite. I was suprised to see he was 16/1 behind a host of other names.
Reid on a par with Bruce. High profile low achievement.
The way the player’s are talking it up in the E&S it looks like(Terry Total crap ) will get the job.
I hope the only job he gets at wolves is a litter picker because he talks a load of rubbish.
JM FUCK OFF, TC FUCK OFF Morgan get a grip.
it just shows what the club really thinks of the fans with the amount of tripe they are dishing up expecting us to swallow it!! swallow this mr morgan…we as fans of our beloved club are sick to the back teeth with everything we have had to endure this lousy season and i for one think we deserve being treated with some due respect ..for starters tell us the truth for once ..let us see you really do care for the club-beyond just a business plan and move heaven and earth to get us a proper manager with some proper ideas . the anger and bile is due to being the last to know what is going on and being as i said treating us as idiots!!
Maybe a power struggle going on behind the scenes all those that might lose there jobs or fear change trying to keep TC in place.
Fans need a strategy for Saturday, a symbol of discontent to display their dissent towards TC, the CEO and the owner; a bit like man. utd. supporters did with their green and gold scarves when the Glazers took over. I don’t think a few odd banners will really get the message across; any good ideas?
I`d suggest an effigy of Greaseball…but that’s a lot of stuffing! Plus if it was to be burnt – Guy Fawkes style…then it could well take the stadium with it!
As said its the last home game in the premiership for us downtrodden wolves fans.
It really really hurts so much so that i feel we should all protest at the end of the game not outside the ground but on the pitch thats the only way we can get the media of our displeasure,i know that sounds radical but to me its the only way to express the hurt we feel to this shambles they have left us with…Actions speak louder than words so lets do it,then perhaps they will listen, maybe we won’t need that petition then thomas/ben.FOJM,FOTC.
I’ve read this blog with great interest this season but the startling conclusion I’ve come to is that there’s a lot of Wolves supporters out there who do not know what they want nor how to go about getting it. Common sense seems to have gone out of the window, blame is being apportioned to whoever is deemed inadequate or surplus to requirements or has just had a bad few weeks. What or who will replace what’s there now has become a murky pond of disagreement with vitriol hurled around like confetti. It’s far easier to pull down than it is to rebuild and we’re in the rebuild phase. Be honest, we should have gone down last season and MM should have been shown the door a lot sooner than he was. Well he wasn’t, get over it, TC’s in charge get over it, W*A stuffed us at home, get over it. It’s time to move on together, link arms show strength and support the club when the whole football world seems to be laughing at us, they’re not really mind, because they do know who really caused the unrest. It wasn’t the fans but unfortunately those mindless morons who seemed to chant ” You don’t know what you’re doing ” at every opportunity and then abused a player, his partner and child in true thuggish fashion only succeeded in confusing the issues which were bringing the club to it’s knees. Oh and in case we’ve forgotten £45 mill has already been spent on this quest of PL football and the club is still solvent and in the process of developing its ground and infrastructure. It’s time to pull together, by all means try to influence important decisions which need to be made but this obsession with destroying peoples characters is distasteful and counter productive and we do not know who or what will replace it. Be careful what we wish for !!!!
As ever keep the faith, UTW !!!!
Blimey, How many games have you watched this season…..
You can get over it once, even Twice, and if your really tough enough 3 times….
But this laughing stock of a football club…
Please.. The only ones getting abused here are the loyal money paying supporters, week in week out.
The board are taking us for a ride, and with their stupid comments to the press all season so are the players..
If Wolverhampton Wanderers were any other kind of business, this year they would have ceased trading…..
Product not fit for purpose, run by Business people only in it for themselves.
Customers all demanding their money back from a defected product they have been sold..
Get the Cancer out of the club first.. (moxey)
Then yes we can get over it and all pull together…
What we wish for , is something better than we have seen this season…
It can’t possibly get any worse… Can it… ?
Morgan OUT!!! Moxey OUT!!! TC OUT!!! Johnson OUT!!!
Spot on Nige. We have been ground down by dross at all levels.
yep… the problem with just getting on with it and pulling together is morgan will think aLL is ok on the good ship wanderer and it will all stay the same…pulling together i agrre with but not till there are some inforced changes or it will be a repeated 15 years getting no where me thinks
Interesting reading of an organisation totally mismanaged

In saying that, we have been in the mould of high fees low wages, so if you looked at expenses figures we’d look better than that. Not to say a lot of money hasn’t been wasted though.
Mick mcarthy and jez moxey have a lot to answer to after looking at the money spent since in premier league. Morgan got rid of mccarthy, hopefully moxey is on his way as well
We should get Poyet. Trouble is he strikes me as a loyal type. We will need to make some big promises to land an in-work manager of his calibre, I just hope SM has got the commitment to make it happen.
Anyone who thinks Holloway is a possible is mad IMO, I love to laugh at the bloke but I don’t see him solving our defensive problems.
The Liverpudlian Peter Reid betting link probably holds some weight; he could probably do the job but unfortunately would attract too much negative reaction from the fans. After the abuse he’s always got at molineux he’d have to have to have been deaf to take the job! Actually he could complete the three wise monkeys act as ‘hear no evil’; with Jez as ‘see no evil’ and SM as ‘speak no evil!’
Why are we mad for thinking Holloway a possibility.Repeating myself, just look at what he has achieved at Blackpool (going in the opposite direction to us). Peter Reid ? you’re ‘aving a laugh surely ? Please tell me you’re taking the piss. His record does not stand up to scrutiny.
I still take the positives with the negatives we arent in the dire straights of a Portsmouth or a Coventry City.Anyhow on ‘protesting supporters’ isnt that an example of an poxeymoron ?
The link between Morgan and Holloway still being reported in several places this morning – when the relegation and promotion issues are sorted i think there will be a managerial re-shuffle and Wolves will probably be involved.
Holloway’s defence on par with us though- leaky leaky leaky
It’s called divide and rule. Moron keeps us guessing. Greaseball counting his bonus.
Then the announcement. It should be a new Management team fit for purpose
for the next 5 years or 1 year contract for Coco. You decide.
Jelevic-another snip will be at our beloved Molineaux on Sunday.
Got a terrible feeling that Coco will play Baldrick Johnson on Morons orders just to rub it in.
Think Moyes is rubbing his hands with glee as Toffees push on to finish higher than
Kenny-more excuses than you can manage-Dalglish.
Relationship between club and supporters at an all time low.
This was all so avoidable.
Disgusted of Norwich!
Wouldn’t surprise me if he kept us all guessing then gave the 5 year contract to Conner.
I’d put nothing passed these idiots at the moment.
Morgan OUT!!! Moxey OUT!!! TC OUT!!! Johnson OUT!!!
if we are not careful we as fans will end up turning on each other which is why i cannot understand why the owner has decided to drag his feet when we need decicive action …reckon next season is going to be not a happy one or a great one on the park
I seems I may be in a minority of 1 who does not believe TC will be manager when we resume in the Championship. The three M’s have cocked things up so unbelievably this season. From this I think(and hope!) they have learned a lesson.Bruce was not engaged because the fans did not want him and this will be the reason TC will not be made manager. The two M’s are waiting for the play-offs to be decided. They wont get Hughton(Baggies/Villa).That leaves Allardyce,Holloway and McKay,take your pick. Allardyce plays long-ball but gets results;Holloway has worked wonders at Blackpool(twice),plays attractive football and nearly kept them up in their first season in the Prem and McKay has done a fantastic job at Cardiff. These are three of the best 5 managers in the Championship and to be honest any one of them would be a massive improvement on what we’ve had to endure.
I’d take Holloway or McKay – I think the club needs to play “football” again, rather than the dour stuff we’ve engaged in since promotion.
Whats the end of season parade gonna be like, with us relegated how can the player’s strutt around the pitch,if it was me i’d be ashamed.
And i bet that fat bastard poxey will stay and take the flak just to piss off the fans, and i’ll be surprised if morgan is anywhere to be seen, but if he is we should ALL BOO them all, the board
that is.and let them know where we STAND.FOJM,FOTC,MORGAN Let us hear what you have to say about this debacle..
“Best moment: The signing of Andy Keogh from Wolves forced a real turnaround in our fortunes; he has been fantastic.”
That was from a Milwall fan on the Guardian’s champtionshp review. For me, one of our poorer players making this sort of an impact in that league is a positive sign. We have the quality in the squad to come back up, and the wage structure (50% reductions) to keep most of them. Appoint the right coach, keep the core of the squad together, and I think next year could be quite decent.
Keep the core of the squad?
Are you completely off your rocker, or have you not actually seen any games over the last 3 years?
The core of the squad is the same bunch of no hopers who were in the last Championship team, who have struggled for 3 seasons, and you would now keep them, get promotion with them and then what…..?
They have proved to be 100% totally useless in the Prem, and you want them to stay?
Is your name moxey?
Four goals against a leaky Swansea defence and we are world beaters! The happy clappers have started already!
The only person who should still be standing after the final whistle of the playoffs is Morgan, with a smoking gun, having fucked off ALL playing staff, manager, trainers, coaches, fitness gurus,….everyone.
Start from scratch.
New manager, new ideas, new players, new methods…everything new.
Yeah, we might even take a novel approach and play football. Theres’s a bit of radical thinking!
Therein lies the problem. So much rides on who is given the top job. It really does worry me that we could dossapear off into the mid table Mire of the championship
With the Dumb and even Dumber in charge this is a real concern. Will Moron chance no more
season ticket sales?
And don`t forget who was our CEO when we were relegated after promotion with David Jones. Didn`t the fat twa* learn anything from that, or was he too busy spending his ludicrous bonus from that promotion year. Moxey`s only interest is himself and his bonus, he`s not really interested in the fans or the club. The last time I looked at the league table you don`t get points for being debt free, you get points by smart investment on players who perform on the pitch.
So we have a twice relegated and failed CEO who must be the `boardroom support` for Connor. Couldn`t see how close to disaster the previous season had been, staying up despite losing the last game to a team who may even be relegated with us this year. What arrogance and crass stupidity from our CEO, who clearly has his head so far up his backside he couldn`t see anything wrong or believed another season of MM was fine. In any other business or industry Moxey would have been sacked, and a new CEO appointed. I shall be shouting Moxey Out on Sunday, I hope the Billy Wright upper will join me in venting our absolute disgust at his presence at our football club.
Well said Mark. I hope he’s regretting his bragging about having 9M in the bank at the end of last season but I doubt it as he’s probably a Psychopath and hence has no empathy with anything. I said it back then, he should have spent it on a decent Left back and maybe, just maybe, we would have survived.
What about bringing MM back for next season, he was a great Championship manager after all. Better the devil etc. Sorry if this has already been suggested, don’t get much time these days to read my favourite blog.
NNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
