Nuno’s team selection for the Liverpool game raised a smile.
It showed we’re taking the cup a bit more seriously than many – including myself – had anticipated. Long may that continue.

Without wanting to disrespect Shrewsbury I was happy to avoid a trip to Stoke and this should represent a good chance to progress further in the competition.
Despite the fact they’re 18th in League One I anticipate a difficult afternoon. They raised their game to win at the Britannia so no reason at all they can’t eliminate us if the lads don’t perform.
Shrewsbury
Sam Ricketts was incredible for Wolves and I don’t use that term lightly. It was a masterstroke bringing him to the club and he led that resurgent side back to the Championship with aplomb.
That experience will have served him well as he looks to save Shrewsbury’s bacon and keep them in the third tier.

Results have been mixed since he arrived from Wrexham in December, but points have been accrued to keep them just outside the relegation places and cup excitement is a welcome bonus.
If they can get a run of games out of Dave Edwards he should be a tremendous asset at that level and certainly good enough to help them consolidate an existence in League One.
He’s ruled himself out of this game with injury so thankfully we avoid that potential fairytale – unless there’s a replay of course.

The home end
Some views from the match thread on a Shrewsbury forum:
All we can hope for is Town give it everything they’ve got and just hope Wolves have an off day. Fingers crossed.
Wolves fans appear to have picked up on the lack of pace in our defence and are calling for the manager to include Traore in the Wolves team. One of the quickest players I have ever seen. On the plus side they are likely to play Ruddy in goal who I seem to remember had a game to forget in our pre season win over them last season. They also have a lack of decent cover in the centre of defence with Boli suspended. Just a pity we don’t have anyone upfront who could possibly exploit that. James Collins type centre forward needed.
If Amadi-Holloway doesn’t recover in time I think we could see a similar formation to that used at Sunderland and in the first game against Stoke. That could mean Laurent furthest forward in a central position with, possibly, Okenabirhie and Gillead flanking him. Alternatively we could see a fairly negative 4-5-1 designed to frustrate and stifle Wolves. Let’s be realistic, if Wolves play anything like a full strength midfield we’re going to seriously struggle to compete with the likes of Neves, Moutinho and the very gifted youngster Gibbs-White.
Wolves
I would like to see us being a bit more expansive in this one and taking the game to Shrewsbury.

We don’t have vast options at the back so it will be a familiar setup. Further forward Moutinho may get a rest and I think having some muscle in the middle is never a bad idea against a lower league side.
Hopefully it’s a more attack minded front three and Traore gets an opportunity in his preferred position wide on the right.
One of Cav, Costa or Gibbs-White on the opposite side for me.
The poll
[interaction id=”5c4ae058cd92e1986ca507d5″]Predictions
No Prediction League points up for grabs this weekend in the cup so just for a fun if you want to make a forecast.
I think we’ll win as those who come into the team will be motivated to make an impression and whoever we field there should remain a significant gulf in quality.
I’ll reserve full judgement until I see Nuno’s team but expecting to progress without a replay so will go for a 3-1.
Up The Wolves!

I too loved Sam Ricketts at Wolves.
He was exactly the sort of character we needed to bring the fans back on board after the awful shower that had preceded him. Honest and hard working and a good footballer to boot.
I hope he has success at Shrewsbury… but not tomorrow obviously.
Looking at your team sheet Thomas, it’s amazing to think that Helder Costa might not even make our cup side. When you think that two seasons ago he could do no wrong and we were weeing ourselves that a ‘BIG’ club might come along and snatch him away.
Well, now WE’RE a BIG club and he’s struggling to make an impact.
I hope that Nuno puts out a strong eleven tomorrow. I think most bloggers have made their feelings known about a trip to Wembley and another trophy in the cabinet.
I’m going for a 3-1 win and a favourable home draw in the next round.
Good point about Costa Doog. Definitely a sign of the times he’s not even a definite for a cup game.
If both Costa and Cav started tomorrow, I’d worry because as good as they’ve been for Wolves individually, we’ve often faltered when they’re selected together, particularly this season.
The only way I can see us losing this game is if Shrewsbury get stuck in and a few of our boys decide ‘I don’t really fancy this’, which can unfortunately be the calling card of a Costa/Cav combo performance. Hope to be proven wrong if they both get the nod.
A strong team Mr Nuno please . Not sure about starting with Traore . He is more of an impact player coming off the bench . How about Ryan Giles, he was on the bench for the Leicester game and I for one rate him highly. Get an early goal and all I can see is one way traffic . Should be a comfortable win but you never know !

A tie with romance written all over it and probably a relief that Dave Edwards won’t be playing (or is that a ruse?). A quick word with a Reading fan just before his return to the Shrews was a bit like talking to the DE-sceptics of the past! A bad move for him. Hope he and Sam R have success but not on Saturday. I’d prefer a good cup run to the graveyard last Europa League spot.
And Doogooder…….If you haven’t been, when you next have a London away day, build in a trip to the Wm Morris Gallery in Walthamstow. You’d love it (based on the design/arts & crafts interests noted before). So you’ve probably already been there!
Haven’t been there Peakwolf. Sounds like one to see.
We are due in the smoke to see ‘Nearly Dan’ at the Jazz Cafe in Camden in a few weeks time. We’ll try and check it out.
I’m off to the real Steely Dan, more importantly with Steve Winwood, at the NEC end of Feb.
A fellow Wolf with impeccable taste in music ! …..the best thing to come out of the USA period ….well ,with the possible exception of Levi jeans the AC Cobra and Las Vegas …..23 rd Feb Genting Arena ….cant wait …you’re not the chap that goes to Glastonbury with the WWFC pendant flag??
I missed your reply as things moved on, which might mean you miss this one! I’m not the flag-waver – I thought you finally tracked him down a while ago? My tastes stem come from the teenage and university years in the late 60s and early 70s. Whilst I’m keen to see the remaining half of Steely Dan, Stevie W is my main reason for going to the NEC and I’m hoping (in vain perhaps) that it’s rather more than the usual half hour support act, or even that he might sit in with Steely D. Do I take it you’ll be there too? I also have a more modern guilty love…..Deacon Blue! All such loves alongside the mighty Wolves of course!
Bloody Dave Edwards! I write a cracking piece for the Blog about him and then he goes and spoils it all by saying something stoopid like he’s not playing! Oh bollox I’ll post it anyway…………………………………..
This weekend Smuggy McSmugface of Smugchester might be tempted to say something along the lines of “See? I told you so!” as the ghost of seasons past looms into view in the shape of one David ‘Dangerous’ Edwards.
He’s a legend. He’s our best player. He’s wonderful. These were the things Smuggy was repeatedly told about Edwards a few short years back. Heck, as if to try and prove Smuggy wrong – Smuggy just didn’t buy it – even long retired ex-players (proper legends) were wheeled out to say Edwards was great. Not sure what else one could have expected them to have said in public but there you go.
The truth is, and was, that he wasn’t great or a legend or any of those things. What he was was a decent bloke who gave 100% in every game and was committed to the Wolves cause for the best part of 10 years. All lovely attributes and so a heartfelt thank you for all of that Dave.
The reason Smuggy just couldn’t feel the love for Mr Ed was that he wanted proper footballers at the club. People who could control the ball. People who could pass to a team-mate. People who could beat an opponent. People who could play – and stay – in a position designated by the Coach. You know, footballers. Fortunately a certain chap called Nuno seemed to agree with Smuggy and within a few short weeks of his arrival Dangerous had been moved on.
Smug faces on chaps!
Wolves to win 2-0
OODCL
You’re preaching to the converted here mate – can’t really add much else!
Dear Mr Smugchester
We ALL wanted proper footballers at Molineux.
A few years ago, thanks to Morgan and Moxey, WE DIDN’T HAVE THEM.
None of us (well me anyway) were under any illusion that Dangerous Dave was a World beater. He was just a bloke who’s performances, limited though they may have been, and goals, kept us afloat when we were a below average team in a lower league.
As such, he was, in my opinion, more than worth his place in the side.
I used to play for a team in the Bristol Downs Premier League (pretty basic stuff) many years ago and we had a player who scored a shed load of goals for us.
We didn’t say to him “Well, with a first touch like you’ve got you’d never get in a team in the Premier League”.
We were grateful for what he did for us during the time he played for us – AT THE LEVEL WE WERE PLAYING.
That’s how I feel about Dave Edwards.
Wolves couldn’t, or chose not to, afford a Neves or Moutinho. So saying he was nowhere near their standard is pretty redundant.
And for people to deride him for what he did for us over the years, is a bit sad.
That’s my opinion.
Well said Doog agree 100%
Doog – don’t disagree that Dave is a lovely bloke, or that he gave his all for Wolves, but I never understood why the local media had/have this obsession of putting Edwards on a pedestal?
He simply wasn’t good enough for many years, but for some reason the local media and certain parts of the fanbase loved nothing more than indulging Edwards and justifying his place in the team. If you dared challenge that school of thought, all hell would break loose.
Edwards wasn’t a Championship level midfielder, as proven with his spells at us and Reading – a lot of their fans were relieved to see him go.
Even in League One and the first season being back in the Championship – Price and McDonald was our best midfield partnership. But we had to see technically gifted players in McDonald, who left, and Saiss, benched (in his first season), disregarded so Edwards could be shoehorned into a midfield completely devoid of creativity.
As a club we accepted mediocrity for far too long and were happy for too many players to drift along and ‘do a job’.
I’ll never forget the 4-4 with Fulham under Lambert. Despite somehow rescuing a draw, Fulham played us off the park with football that was lightyears ahead of ourselves. McDonald returned to run the show while Edwards was chasing shadows for 90 minutes. But it was ok, Edwards was a lovely lad, put a shift in, contributed the odd goal.
Thankfully, that summer everything would change with the arrival of Nuno. A visionary, always thinking of the bigger picture.
And Edwards refused to adapt. Given his chance v Yeovil in the League Cup, he failed to carry out Nun’s instructions and hold his position as a CM in a 343. From minute one he ran around like a headless chicken and was subbed – going off in a strop.
I’m sorry but I will not pretend that Edwards was a legend of our club just because he was a ‘good lad’.
Dave Edwards gave everything to The Wolves top bloke without him in that period, we would have been further in the shit!!!!
We weren’t gonna buy anyone better in those days, so if we had a guy who gave everything he had, made endless interceptions and scored vital goals, he’ll do for me.
He did OK for Wales too, if I remember correctly.
Really cheesed off that he won’t face us tomoz.
Well said, I agree with all of that. He played as well as he could for us at the level we were at. But, he is now playing at the level he should.
Tomorrow is a match where we should show we are miles better than our opponents and I expect a goal fest.
Unfortunately I will be watching this on Hesgoal.com.
Wolves 7
Shrewsbury 0
Oi ! That’s my fucking mates flag . What you doing with Bedders flag ?
I’ll find you ..
I was going to reply to all the negative comments by saying touché but with predictive text it keeps coming out as touchy!
Fortunately opinions are what make the world go round – or is it love? – and if we all thought the same thing wouldn’t life be boring? I’m entitled to my opinion too. My opinion is that I’m right and you’re all wrong. So there.
P.S. Great comment London – made me smile amidst all the acrimony.
OODCL
Is acri money like bitcoin, or some other currency, like The River Thames?
It’s rare I disagree with you Thomas, but I’d suggest our MF 3 and front 2 has seen us produce much more expansive and attacked minded football.
I won’t go into the intricacies again of how 352 has transformed our play, but 2 in MF and a front 3 often saw us overwhelmed in possession, giving the ball away too frequently, and everyone was just too far apart and easy to be got at. Admittedly, it shouldn’t matter too much what formation we deploy v Shrewsbury.
I know Raul and Moutinho could do with a rest but I’d go with the same team that faced Liverpool (minus Rui for big John). There’s an argument for Doc coming in for Jonny, but the Spaniard went up another level v Leicester on the right, especially in attack. Vinagre should have plenty of opportunity to attack v Shrewsbury too.
It’s not the biggest of pitches so hopefully Jota and Raul can pull the Shrewsbury defence out of position, with the MF 3 having plenty of time to pick out the right pass against limited opposition.
Comfortable 3-0 win for me.
I’m with you 100% on the three man midfield against sides who come to attack Paddy as I agree it gives us better control.
But Shrewsbury away – we’ve got to take the game to them surely?
I felt the same in the Palace match the other week. They were happy to sit deep and stink the place out. We just played into their hands by moving the ball side to side in midfield and allowing them to get nice and comfy.
Our players are good enough to take more risks against anyone midtable down in the Premier League so would like to see us being on the front foot a bit more.
Ricketts great signing by Jackett and will make a brilliant manager, can’t believe time flies by 78/79 season when we played them at the Mol with Graham Turner there player manager.
Win tomorrow we are going all the way to Wembley.
2-1 to The Wolves.
Should be a good game and one where experience and fitness should win at the end of the day.
Looking forward to a good cup run and a top half finish come May; that would be considered a decent 1st year back in the Premiership.
Going for 5-0.
Like many of you out there I have fond memories of Dangerous, not for his footballing qualities but for his honesty.
Never gave less than 100%, working unselfishly for the team and with an happy knack of turning up unexpectedly to score. Much as we value skill and technique so should we honour those who give their all to the cause however limited it now seems in these heady days.
Rickets too, though over a much shorter period brought his footballing intelligence and experience to the Molineux and gave order to a limited defence. I wish him, after tomorrow, the very best and expect him to enjoy success with Shrewsbury.
I’d like Nuno to give MGW a start tomorrow and Jiminez a well deserved rest with maybe allowing Cav a chance to bring more to the table than on his last outing. Whoever Is selected I expect a Wolves win: 2-0
Should win this one but as my good lady always reminds me you never know what will happen in football.
Can’t disagree with Thomas’s team but we should be able to put out any eleven to beat Shrewsbury. No disrespect intended but it should never happen that they beat us.
Hoping for a decent win and a favourable home draw in the next reound.
Wolves to win 3-0
Talking about the weekends football at work today someone said ‘ You just need to get in to the 5th round. Make sure you are in the hat’. Any way I thought about this for ten minutes and then I thought how is Wolverhampton Wanderers FC going to fit in to a hat? Fitting the North Bank in to a hat would be no mean feat, let alone the rest of the stadium. It would need to be a jolly big hat. A bit like Noddy Holder out of Slade who used to appear on Top of The Pops wearing a huge hat with mirrors all over it. Other pop stars in hats include Michael Jackson who danced about in one whilst singing ‘Billie Jean’ in 1983. Boy George always wore won on Top of The Pops and Captain Sensible from The Damned wore a nice beret. Phil Collins even wrote a song called ‘Wear My Hat’ which was jolly nice of him. If I ever see him in Gornal I will remind him of that and expect him to give me a hat to wear immediately. And although Geoffrey Boycott is not a pop star he always wears a nice straw boater when assessing the pitch conditions before a test match. So hats off to all of them. And on to the game which in itself is a ‘potential banana skin’ . As I have just gone on about hats for 10 minutes I am not going to spend any more time analysing bananas. That will be saved for round 5. Should we get there. Which we will. Because no matter how hard Shrewsbury try and stifle WWFC with their boring 4-5-1’s and taking 72 minutes over a goal kick it will not be enough. Without Dangerous Dave running about in midfield and potentially popping up with a header in the 84th minute they have no chance. So a routine victory for WWFC by 3 goals to 1. We may give them a goal start just to give them hope. But that’s about it. So on to round 5 we go and it’s Wemberley here we come. Where we never lose. Well not since 1939. After the game Nuno said ” Another game . Another game. In this moment. I am happy for the fans. We only look at the next game. And I am grateful to the referee for not sending me off- even though I didn’t do anything Stay humble.” Sam Ricketts said ” If only we had Dangerous Dave- it could have been a different story”. Shrewsbury 1 WWFC 3.
There’s a lad up this way called Billy that used to wear banana shoes! There’s food for thought for you!
As for our weekend sojourn to Shrewsbury, I’m expecting nothing less than a win.
First off, Happy Birthday Mr. Santo.
May we be saying that for many years to come.
Second off,
Ronnie Radford.
Yes, Ronnie Radford.
For those of you not around in 1972, he scored a screaming winner for Hereford in the cup which knocked out First Division Newcastle.
( look it up, it’s on U tube )
That is the analysed banana skin thingy afore mentioned by Stilton above.
Ronnie Radford was a joiner by trade, and was never heard of before, nor since that fabulous goal, and this is what can happen when a top team plays away at a small, lower league ground.
They got nothing to lose, and we must not make the mistake made by so many others, thinking that we just have to turn up and the game is ours, like Liverfool did.
Let’s hope birthday boy puts out a really strong team, just as he did in the last round, and we triumph accordingly.
Y’all know what score I think we gonna win by, as long as Ronnie Radford aint playing!
And, for the first time in years, I will be wanting Albion to win, sorry for swearing, but you know I mean the other Albion, not that slime pit down in sandwell.
FOwb
Talking of wearing hats…
Two Nuns in the bath, one says, ” where’s the soap”?
The other says, “it does doesn’t it”
Anyway enough about hats.
I really liked Dangerous because of loyalty, committment and an all round belief he is a genuinely nice bloke, but that’s as far as it goes, no hero worship, no pictures on the wall.
Horses for courses, and he stayed his course, I would have loved to have seen him play tomorrow, but hey ho, not to be.
I hope Nuno treats it as he did against the Liverpool, also I hope Traore only comes on as an impact sub (if needed). Against Newcastle in the first half, just in front of Neves and Moutinho was a Jimmy hole. Newcastle ran the show in the first half because they filled it. Nuno stuck Jiminez back in there in the second half and the rest is history. For that fact alone, I love two midfielders of any combination with a third slotted just in front playing behind Jota & Jiminez.
That is our Plan B, and depending on his combination of midfielders, Nuno has found Plan C’s, Plan D’s and so on.
Jen de Wolf, Mr and Mrs Lowves and I will be there screaming them on, so I want a:-
“Five for Clive”
“We want five, five for Clive”
Shrewsbury 0
Wolves 5
Sam Ricketts will certainly get a rousing reception from the 12th man- will never forget the Rotherham Good Friday game. However, the Shrews know their only chance is to be very physical and for that reason I would continue with 3 in MF. Don’t risk Jota, Moutinho and Jimi. Keep them safe for Tuesday and I would play Bonatini with Cav as a front 2. Traore and Costa as second half subs. Agree the Ryan Giles being involved, he was my MOTM against Stoke preseason. Score draw and win replay at home.
Ryan Giles wasn’t even in the squad todaythat beat Flum 1-0 at Compton.
So there’s a possibility…
Niall Ennis is another player I’d have liked to see get a chance. He’s started to score goals again after the horrible injury.
The score will depend on who Nuno puts out. I hope he keeps a strong bench in case things don’t go our way.
I will predict a Wolves win on penalties, just to be negative.
Edit. I guess we don’t go to penalties so I will go for a 3-2 win.
Another graduate from the “School of Stating The Bleedin’ Obvious”
Of course the score will depend on who Nuno puts out there.
Duh.
Well I had to say it because you pick the same score regardless of who we play or who we play against.
What is obvious for anyone else doesn’t appear to b obvious to you.
Have a nice day.
I suppose it depends on who the Shrews play as well. Being pedantic, like.
I too have been mightily impressed with Ryan Giles when I’ve seen him do his thing, so I would love to see him make an appearance at some stage.
Otherwise, rest for Raul, day off for Diogo and Joao, Jonny and Rui can watch on the tele’. The others can take care of this one. Ivan, Helder and Adama will have plenty and MGW will cause havoc in the hole.
I have no problem with Shrewsbury. Lovely little town. But we won’t let them stand in our way when we’re on the road to Wembley.
Shrews 0 v 3 Wolves
Just for you Thomas…
Chelsea away game changed for Sky, to Sunday 10th March 2-05 pm kick off for anyone planning a trip.
A pair of tickets wouldn’t go a miss Stew, like rocking horse shite.
MGW and Ryan Giles both starting for me. These boys need game time in big matches. Not sure about Traore, he’s just as likely to skid all over the pitch on his arse. Got to go for the win though I’m refusing to go to new Wembley until we’re picking up a cup.
Our standard 3-4-3 last season was enough to see off teams of a higher quality than the Shrews so I don’t foresee any problems wwith this one unless they go physical. So we need to play Saiss and DenD just to let them know we’re not going to be kicked about. Straightforward 2-0 to us.
Dendoncker is 148 lbs. Not exactly a physical threat.
Floyd Mayweather is 149lbs.
EXACTLY a physical threat!
Thank you for illustrating to Colin from Houston why I feel so compelled to “State The Bleedin’ Obvious”
What baffles me the most Tim, is the fact that you do not realise that you are such a muppet. Just look at the dislikes you get when you make a statement and maybe then consider refraining from making that statement in that manner ….. just saying.
Unless I can see the future, how would i know how many dislikes I’m going to get for a comment?
I know some people like to happy clap – I prefer to try to look at things from a different angle to see if I can understand them more fully.
And I do look at my likes and dislikes occasionally and they are not as bad as you seem to reflect.
Do you just make comments that you think will get a lot of likes or do you base them on your opinion?
It is my opinion, and has been for 40 years, that people look at the height of people and then think they are better suited for some kind of position in sports. I first noticed it when a hockey commentator said that some young players were 5’10” and too small to be a hockey defenseman. The guys who were 6′ tall were considered big and great for defensemen (that is small for a defenseman now but 40 years ago was different).
So then I thought about it and realized that the difference between 5’10” and 6′ is about 3%. Are you following me?
Common knowledge was wrong and silly. 3% means virtually nothing but this is what everyone thinks makes sense.
Sometimes you have to look past what everyone else thinks and ask yourself if it makes sense.
Another thing is when someone bodychecks someone else and the commentator says how much the guy who was checked would feel the check. Well, Newton says they will both feel it the same amount if you position yourself properly to take the check. This also goes against what all of the pundits were saying back then but I used common sense and the high school dropout pundits didn’t.
So getting dislikes is not as important as trying to see things from a different angle and I think some of the people who are disliking what I say don’t see the point I am trying to make.
By the way, I really don’t understand why you would take the time to comment on this. If you don’t like it, just skip over it.
Is it really that controversial to you?
Its not about him being a threat. Its about Shrewsbury not being able to intimidate our more technical players with a physical threat because they know that (even without Boly) we have the likes of Bennett, Saiss and Dendoncker who can give as good as they get.
It’s not all about size Tim, or so I’m told.
Yeah, my mate said women laughed at him when he said he had 5 inches, but he thought most women liked it that wide.
I expect to see a few changes, given the lowly opposition. Traore to start, and Gibbs White.
We should win 5-0.
Short memories I’m afraid Doog, and Dangerous played for his country in excess of 40 times or so. To do that you have to be a footballer with some talent. He gave me plenty to cheer about in his ten years with the club we were then, thanks for the memories DD.
The Mighty Wolves to murder the Shrews.
Sorry I forgot to mention, Great post Bedders.
Certainly provoked a response. As he often does.

A 90th minute corner and dangerous dave arrives late in the box to head the winner.
Memories are made of these and good luck to an excellent servant of Wolves.
Player I would have liked to see playing at Shrewsbury — Dangerous Dave.
Anyone noticed that of 7 live TV FA cup fixtures over this weekend 6 are based in London. And what is the big deal about Barnet v Brentford live on BT sport Monday night? My old man always used to say nothing exists North of Watford…..
Yes Cheesey I noticed that. Another case of London centric broadcasters. It’s part of their DNA and probably not aware that they’re doing it. Especially the BBC.
There will be changes tomorrow but they will be first team changes. Ruddy, Gibbs-White, Costa, Cav and Adama can expect minutes. Which ever team starts if the application is correct we should win the game.
2-0 win
Love the FA Cup and really looking forward to this game.
Expect a few scares and then a comfortable win.
Think/hope Nuno goes with strong team similar to previous round.
0-2/0-3
I looked at our bench/subs against Lyecesta & thought “that ain’t bad”
So the birthday boy can choose the starting 11 & any changes cus e knows best.
As for DD anyone that pulled on our shirt & helped the cause won’t get criticism from me even if a banjo & barn door was involved.
Pist I ain’t there but will be in spirit, COMB
PS, Cheesie, hows the cat? It’s been a little quite recently & just worried he’s stopped shattin in your garden.
Clive been on the piss, me thinks. Cheesie.
Most people on here are on the piss mate. The old joke was that you needed a drink to watch the Wolves. These days it is a drink to add to the pleasure! Huddersfield Watford and Palace not included!
Ay sin the cat for a bit mate. He doesn’t like the cold so stops in. Mind you last time he was over my garden I sprayed him with a water pistol. Strangely not seen since. FWAW.
What was in the water pistol Cheese, dogs piss? Funny or what.
Rest all our portugesers and Johnny
Give a couple of young dudes a game
Win 3-1
I feel a bit smug myself lately tbh , a while ago some people were saying Jota was maybe championship level ? I predicted he would come good and maybe even be our top goal scorer this season,, if only I could get a bleedin score prediction right
Anyway with Neves back on form and hardly any injuries , I think we will get seventh spot , if I’m honest though, I think I’d prefer eighth!!!
Utw and ‘happy Australia day’
I agree that the team virtually picks itself as far as defence and midfield. The forward options are strong enough to annihilate the Shrews irrespective of who Nuno picks. So it’s not so much who is picked, but rather the picked players play to their usual standards. I can see us coasting to a 3-0 lead before relaxing. Might even allow them a consolation goal in the last 5 mins.
It’s important to win this so I expect Nuno to field a strong side. Probably have a few first team on the bench.
Big kudos to Sam R. Top man and model pro. Shame Dangerous is injured, always liked the guy and he was a great servant to the Wolves.
I am not expecting a goal fest so just a 2-0 to the Wolves.
Tough game.
I expect some very tough tackling from them and we will need to be quick on our feet.
See out the first half without injury and smash them in the last 30.
Superior fitness and a Traore hat trick……. 4-0
WEMBLEY HERE WE COME !
My mate reckons you can watch Shrewsbury v Wolves on ESPN+ for free by signing up on line… And it’s on in the local boozer up the road. Thats my afternoon sorted.
Hopefully a comfortable win but I reckon hard thought win

First off, a belated happy birthday to Nuno plus many happy returns of the day to Ryan Giles. Pleased to the latter making a start today.
Wolves to win.
Phewww!
Never in doubt.
Just what we could do with, a replay with Dangerous Dave back at Molineux.
I was just about to slag off my team when …. Doherty, header …. get in…..
Please Wolves don’t keep doing this to me my tikka can’t take it……… we’re better than the gallant Shrews… this is our FA Cup year…. oh yes.
Let’s hope for a good cup draw ….. then plan for our Wembley day out….
Fortunate with the draw I thought watched it on the box
We showed good character though coming back, Costa had a stinker I thought
Changed when cav and jimenez came on
We’re in the hat……oh shit. Here we go again.
Better take the cat out the hat first!
