It’s often said the first goal is vital in Championship football.

So it’s all the more galling that Wolves have taken the lead in each of their last three matches and only accumulated a single point.
We barely even had time to savour Benik Afobe’s opener yesterday before Wednesday promptly turned the game on it’s head and disappeared over the horizon.
Ethan Ebanks-Landell had another game to forget and his clumsy, leaden footed presence is a continual feature of the opposition’s most damaging moments.
It’s chaos in that back four and without the steadying presence of a Richard Stearman or a Mike Williamson, nobody knows where to look.
Kenny Jackett’s attempt to solve the problem was dropping Scott Golbourne – the most experienced defender we have on the books – in favour of Matt Doherty.
If the head coach can’t see that Ebanks-Landell is the problem, not the solution, then I seriously question his judgment.
Further forward, Nathan Byrne also came into the side and wasted a golden chance to drag Wolves level just before the break. That might have changed the course of things.
But if there’s a plus to take from these two recent defeats, it’s that chances have been created and goals have been scored.
The problem is that this team simply can’t offer the type of resistance needed to capitalise and navigate safely through a full ninety minutes.
Every time Leeds broke forward they looked like scoring and it was the same story all over again at Hillsborough.
All four goals were a result of our defenders not dealing with balls around the penalty area and it breaking to blue and white shirts.
And in between the goals, calamity lurked at every corner with the previously dependable Carl Ikeme dragged into the pantomime.
More fingers are being pointed at Kenny Jackett and I don’t think anyone would dispute he must shoulder his share of the blame.
But to dismiss a manager whose predominantly shown he can deliver success when adequately supported to get the players he wants would be fruitless.
Would someone like Nigel Pearson do better? Working in an environment where his Player of the Season is sold and no serious money is invested in the team?
The grass always looks greener in times of trouble but recent bitter experience has taught us to be cautious about shouting for change.
Because change isn’t always for the better.

I suspect I echo the thoughts of many fans – while some of KJ’s decisions are up for debate, how much better could anyone else do without sufficient backing to bring in experienced Championship (or better) quality players? If we ditch him now, we could just be opening ourselves up for yet more turmoil.
While I don’t think there is any point in sacking KJ while we await new owners I do not believe he can be absolved of all blame for our current position. He will have been involved in bringing in and selling players including loans, he does pick the team and decide on when to make substitutions and he is responsible for tactics and coaching. I have never been a fan of his but sacking him now would be senseless – I remember what we got when we sacked Solbakken. The time to review the situation will be when new owners are in place.
KJ has to go.
But where?
Back to the drawing board.
He has to sit in a dark room, on his own, and assess where the problems are, on the pitch.
We all assume, and the evidence is damning, that he has no control over purchases or sales.
Given that, as head coach, he MUST surely see what we all can, the deficiencies in the team.
He hasnt turned from a good coach into a bad one overnight, the poor bloke has both his hands and his balls tied behind his back, while being made to wear a blindfold, and being forced to spout the company bullshit.
His problem, on a personal level, is coming to grips with the situation.
Does he say fuck you and walk away, or does he seeth quitly inside, hoping for new owners soon?
I really think there is a good coach in there, who needs the encouragement from above.
The alternative, greasel and rudolph sticking their oars in again, and another clipboard or Saunders, does not bear thinking about.
What we, as fans, need to do, is get down on our knees and pray to whatever god floats your boat for new owners immediately.
Imagine the waves of euphoria that will sweep the dressing room and terraces when the name M….. Is no longer associated with WWFC
Once new owners are in place, we will see a new team.
This season is doomed, I just hope we manage to not get relegated.
Results from OT and the sandwell crem make life bearable, and please have some sympathy for me.
I am off to St Louis to collect the 90 year old mother in law, escort here back to Houston, and entertain her for a week!!
See, there are worse things than being a Wolves fan!!
A merry FO wb to y’all
I would be tempted to agree had his judgement not been in question since before the start of the season. Letting our most experienced defender go without replacing him was criminal. I do not care whose decision it was to sell Stearman but to not replace him with an experienced defender was absurd.
KJ seems fixated on midfielders. Bring back those on loan and we could a field an entire side, plus a decent part of the bench, with nothing but midfielders. The squad is entirely unbalanced. Dicko’s injury exposed a hopeless lack of real pace up front. Stearman’s absence exposed an entire lack of nous and experience in the defence. It took him far too long to bring in Williamson and it seems only now that he has realised that success starts at the back. Do not concede goals and you do not lose.
I am sorry to say his match day judgement has failed too. Some of his team selections are odd and his substitutions lack both urgency and tactical sense. Ebanks-Landell is, currently, dreadful. Against Leeds it appeared as though he had been told to man mark one of the opposition. I got the impression that if that player had run into the car park Ebanks-Landell would have obligingly trotted after him. Iorfa’s defending is also dodgy. I had assumed that Doherty might have taken his place not Golbourne’s (especially as his work and that of Graham was one of the few bright spots of the Leeds game). You could, if desperate, then try Iorfa in central defence, the position he is supposed to prefer. As for Edwards – he runs around a lot. So does my cat.
The real downside is that, in this mess, we have managed to devalue Afobe (who must surely be on his way) whilst, at the same time, given several Premier League sides a decent look at Graham who I suspect will be subject of destabilising and possibly successful offers too.
I have felt all season that KJ does not know who his best team is and does not know what his best tactics are. That, and going into a season with only six defenders, all of them relatively inexperienced, highlights his shortcomings rather too obviously. I suspect that results over Christmas and the New Year will force Moxey’s hand – especially if they want to get a decent price for the club in 2016. Won’t happen if we slip into a relegation fight.
I think, debating sacking Jackett is fruitless.
Our owner does not care.
This is so obvious no manager will come here.
We are stuck with KJ, until (if) we can get a new owner.
Think some one like Pearson would laugh at the suggestion of taking over at Wolves, considering how little anyone, with money, cares about the club.
That is the root of the problem.
‘Everybody knows’ the ‘owner’ does not care, nor the executive, nor the manager…
It is obvious from the way the ‘lads’ play their football…
There is no heart, no organisation, no method.
I will consider the season a success if we do not get relegated.
KJ is going to be replaced either with new owners or because of stupid decisions..
It’s not once or twice its too many times and Thomas I agree with you EBL is the problem (DB is shite too) not the solution..
A manager of Wolves from my point of veiw has to choose the right team see and interpret and then act proactively even as the game goes on.
He is blind,he doesn’t understand and is confused what to do..
In charge and continuing in this vein he will relegate us.
My favourite phrase ‘it’s for all to see’
applies…
But how many times have got to see it?
The match ..Afobe is such a shit hot penalty taker…fantastic start but I could of bet my house they would score with our defence..we could of lost by 8..
Oblivious Oblivious Oblivious ..and at this rate oblivion…unless we address the main problem…if Afobe goes it should be in KJs tombstone.
Sorry.
No half decent manager will come while the club is up for sale unless they are currently unemployed with little hope of a job in the near future. Certainly no one will leave a position to take it on, when they could well be given the boot by a new owner relatively soon.
I also believe that given the right support from above, Kenny can do the job he was employed for.
No way would Kenny have wanted Stears sold. He’s the head coach, responsible for team affairs, and no coach/manager would want to be rid of his best defender. He can say what he likes to the camera, but I will never believe he went to Mox and said ‘sell Stearman if you want, we’ll be better off without him’.
Stick or twist Kenny will be going more than likely sooner or later if new owners come in they will probably want to appoint there own man and Jackets is making that more of a certainty by his actions or lack off.
Ultimately Morgan and his batch are responsible for the mess we are in.
But and it’s a big but ( no not you, the wife) he stubbornness to keep playing players that are clearly not good enough Llandell.
His chopping and changing lack of tactical awareness is killing us, he just looks like hes no idea how to deal with other teams tactics.
Probably for the very first time since the blog started predicting scores, I got this one right. It gave me no pleasure whatsoever though, I just wonder whether this year could be a second relegation under Morgan`s ownership into division 1. What a legacy that man is leaving us.
The lack of experience and pace in our central defence must be plain to see even for Moxey, and I`d love to know what exactly were the “football reasons” behind the sale of Stearman, whoever made that executive decision needs sacking, although with the confidentiality clauses written into contracts I`m sure we`ll never get the truth.
Our midfield is too slow and fragile to offer any protection for the back four, and while we have potency going forward, as others have said, you need a tight defence to start with.
There is no benefit in boasting the first team have 5 academy graduates in if they aren`t good enough, for me only Iorfa and maybe Price are good enough at this level. Danny B (bless him) and EBL clearly aren`t up to it playing the Jackett way, maybe we need to play Coady as protection, and choose one less attatcking player, as this run of form can`t continue, if it does we all know where we are heading for. Morgan wo`nt get his £15m if his club is in Div 1.
When so many fans found our situation in the Premier league intolerable bit surprised how much acceptance there is now. So be it. These days clubs can be up for sale for years.
I am not a fan of the 2 M’s or Kenny Jackett. Should be an interesting situation to watch as long as you dont have to go to the matches.
Ps my sentiments back then were much the same as Thomas’s now but it was very much a minority view ( a habit i havent lost !).
Please don’t sack Kenny. The club is in turmoil, the owner going, up for sale, we have no idea if anyone will buy it. All clubs go through the mill against this background. We really don’t want more instability. Half our team are usually youngsters and academy players. A lot more of our squad is; Which is kind of ok but these guys should grow in the nursery of league 1 – not in the cut throat championship. We need stability at the moment and some seasoned and driven hands- I think Kenny can do it given the tools. I do a 500 mile round trip and the wolves v mk Dons was awful but yelled my guts out. I’ll be at Charlton too – and will support and encourage them as that’s the best thing to do – it always is. I was so proud to hear the noise on the tv against Leeds- wonderful. It’s dire at the moment – but hey- there are no easy rides being a Wolves fan!!
instead of listening to the noise on the telly I suggest your hard earned cash and get down there…
THEN SEE IF YOU STILL FEEL THE SAME WAY..
The majority of UK clubs are strapped for cash, with managers / coaches having to make do with what they`ve got. Unfortunately, given the huge betrayal of Sir Jack by our want away owner and his muppett the Pieman, we are in this same position. Our real problem is that Mr. Jacket has no clue as to how to get the best out of a hopelessly unbalanced squad, comprised mostly of distinctly average players, all of whom seems dispirited and confused. He seems totally inept, staggering from one desperate non solution to the next.
Those cash strapped teams that somehow manage to seure success have a few things in common, but above all, they are ALL based on having a solid, disciplined central defense. Coaches concentrate on not giving away an endless string of stupid goals. Our coach pays lip service to this, bleating weekly that this is the area in which we must improve, before then going on to repeat the selection of probably the worst central pairing in the four divisions for the next game. EEL is just not good enough, nor ever will be. Baath is not as good as we first thought, but is half decent if there is someone of experience and character along side him forcibly instructing him what to do, [ as shown in the short Williamson period ]
Mr Jacket can play around with his selections for ever, but unless he tackles this major issue we are doomed. I once heard a university professor define a fool as “someone who makes a bad decision which produces a devastating outcome, and then repeats it believing that next time the result will be different “. This is our Mr. Jacket.
As many have said on this Blog we are likely stuck with Mr. Jacket for now — unless he voluntarily walks away. But surely, even he must see that the continued paring of Baath and EEL is just not a viable selection option. To do anything must surely be better than doing nothing
EEL – why didn’t I think of that. Sad to say, the current central pairing is so bad that (whisper it very quietly) even Roger Johnson might have improved it.
Sorry about that. I will now go and wash my mouth out.
Don’t you think that’s going just a little too far?
I apologise. I don’t know what I was thinking. 🙂
Surely EEL isn’t pissed too??
Can someone please go down the pub and fetch Roger? He must be a free agent. Oh the days when we were merely hovering over the relegation zone in the Premier League. Who wouldn’t want to turn the clock back three years?
The most poignant piece this year ..and so true written more eloquently than me..
I’ve pulled out most of my hair over our defence – now I’ve got less than Brompton..Williamson was like a messiah ….
Mine all went years ago – I’ve got nowt to pull out at this time of desperate need. So to speak.
Who’d be a head coach, eh? We need a team that can keep a clean sheet. Here goes…
Afobe
Graham Byrne
KMac Price
Golbourne Doherty
Deslandes* Batth Iorfa
Ikeme
*or Coady, at a pinch
Call it a 3-4-3, 5-4-1 or 5-5-0 if you like, it’s gotta be worth a try, no? How do you build a solid team at any level with only one dependable centre back, and him out of form? Anyone got any better ideas? Answers on a postcard…
I was wrong. I hold my hands up. I honestly thought that selling Stearman was not a bad move given the fee we got for him and the fact that the defence had hardly been impermeable up to then. But as we saw during Williamson’s short spell, sometimes its not what you do with the ball its what you do when you haven’t got it thats important. It appears that Stearman’s influence was greater than some of us appreciated, (even if Fulham have conceded an average of 1.5 per match since he joined them).
Jackett, I guess, will be here to stay until the charlatan Morgan finally sells. I have no problem with that after all he has done so far, but he must find solutions urgently – and I’m not talking about the January window but NOW.
Please Don’t sack kenny jackett !
Bring stearman back in January!
I think that wolves are making an announcement tomorrow
Does anyone know what’s going on ?
Yes mate,
Will post later tonight when Wolves close.
Maybe this…?
http://the72.co.uk/42242/wolves-agree-a-deal-for-polish-winger/
Oh goodie, another winger.
And there’s this:
http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2015/12/21/report-wolverhampton-wanderers-and-birmingham-city-want-peterbor/
Another forward (replacement for Afobe?)
What about an effing defender or two?!
£350K according to E&S – bargain basement yet again. Do we really need another winger?
Typical. We have the worst defense in the league so our big news is that Jacket opts to sign another bargain basement winger. What about Byrne who was signed just weeks ago for the same position ? Are we about to loan him out to Grimsby Town to gain more experience ?
Mind you, this Polish guy is supposed to be 6ft 2 inches tall, and not very fast, so maybe Jacket sees him as an ideal replacement for EEL in the center of defense. From this position he could combine the job of ensuring we keep clean sheets whilst popping up from time to time at the other end to notch a few and thereby replace the departing Ofabe. What a master stroke of economic planning. Messrs Jacket, Thelwell and Moxey are financial wizards.
The only conclusion that can be reached is that at the Mol the lunatics have finally taken over the assylum
I’m sure Kenny knows the problem with the defence. But until the window opens, there’s nothin’ he can do about it.
Dunno why he dropped Scotty for Wednesday though. 🙁
‘…until the window opens, there’s nothin’ he can do about it.’
Yes he can, and he must. He has to get the defence disciplined and, in my opinion, has to get even more protection in front of it, so possibly play 4-3-1-2 with Coady in with Price and Kmac. Afobe at 10 and Holt-Le Fondre up front. If it means grinding out a few draws until we can get some bodies in in January, so be it. I agree with you about Golbourne – what did he do wrong against Leeds apart from not being tall enough ?
I see E&S poll has got 60% saying Kenny should be sacked. I was surprised on this blog for whatever reason seems to be very much the other way.
Shall I tell you what I find most interesring about you humans!
“You are at your best when things are at their worst” – Jeff Bridges, “Starman”
How true of you guys on the blog, in the face of all the rubbish we are being served up in the name of football you are still keeping the faith and there are some real quality contributions on here today.
But I am slowly changing my mind about Kenny. Not through any evidence presented to the contrary but because I have always been a softie and stick up for the little guy. I’m actually feeling sorry for him, to the extent that the express and lie did a survey on should he go or stay and I voted with the 29%, but I even lost that one as 69% wanted him gone.
If I can pick up on Wolfman Jacks post, towards the middle of last season I radically mentioned that the problem was not Stearman but Batth, without Stears he is being shown up as the weak link after all. Iv’e just watched Wolves (Lowlights) from yesterday and the man is a Div 2 substandard defender at best.
But, hope springs eternal,
I had an interesting text last night from a mate that was at the game with me, and it’s just been mentioned from another source and now London Wolf has confirmed our intel, so it’s not a secret anymore. As it’s close of play at the Molineux then no harm can be done by sharing the text. He was sent a text by a mate at 10 pm last night with the message!
“Wolves to make an important announcement Tuesday”
So only a few more hours of guessing, it may turn out that pie prices are to be raised dramatically to secure transfer funds, or it could be that KJ is for the old heave ho, but Poxey is brutal and I think that would have been done today.
So New Owners or even the cleaner is being sacked for getting herself knocked up by Thelwell in the now famous cupboard of love. I know which I’m praying for.
I may be clutching at straws, but all previous info has been genuine, sometimes players quoted as being targets have been true but chose not to come to our Circus run by the Clowns at the big top. So I have no reason to doubt the source but as to it’s content, like everyone else I’m in the guessing game.
If it’s the news about Zyro, then that’s very disappointing and proof of we’re about to be fed loads of spin by the same people we get shafted by every transfer window.
🙂
The tea lady been carnt using a tea bag in EVERY cup going against Moxeys strict instructions to use I tea bag per 100 cups she also not been recycling them as instructed the police have been called in and she is at this moment in time being charged with gross misuse of company resources.
She has pleaded GUILTY to a lesser charge of being a kind and considerate human being. She will appear W’ton Magerstrates Court tomorrow, there are no press restrictions.
Bail has been set at 300 steak and kidney Puka pies…….! guess who for !
Now a forward????
Leaky defence so buy two forwards. You know it makes sense.
http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2015/12/21/report-wolverhampton-wanderers-and-birmingham-city-want-peterbor/
As the old Albert King song goes: “if it weren’t for bad luck, I’d have no luck at all”. Great lyrics, and sometimes I feel he could have written them about the Wolves. It is true that we have had our share of bad luck this season. Dicko getting a season-long injury right from the get-go, and Williamson being recalled by Newcastle just as we were beginning to settle down at the back, were definitely unlucky happenings that have impacted our season.
But truly, these unfortunate events were only compounded by poor leadership and decision making. I don’t think Wolves current predicament can be attributed to bad luck, in as much as bad decisions. Our debacle is unfortunately (almost) entirely self-inflicted. I could go on and list all the stupidity that has happened over the past years (starting from the timing of sacking McCarthy, to the series of replacements, and the more recent failures to replace Sako, sell Stearman, not strengthening in summer, etc.) but we all know them too well; they’ve all been said before. And now, following Morgan’s latest infantile episode of walking out on his responsibilities without first securing the club’s future, I see no end in sight. His disrespect for the club is offensive beyond reconcile.
Someone earlier made reference to status quo (mid table championship), and others made reference to a potential relegation battle. If things continue the way they are going I think it will be neither of these. A battle implies some sort of fight, none of which do I see or hear of from our current squad. I think the outcome will be sure and certain relegation, as heavy and fast as a ball of lead falling to the floor. The leadership is gone, the direction is gone, the will is gone …
… and just like the other King (BB) put it, the thrill is surely, and most definitely, gone too.
Still, Merry Christmas … may the festive season take our minds off recent results and bring enjoyment and merriment regardless.
GoWolves
Suspect announcement will be signing of Polish winger – last gamble on polish player was a feckin disaster! This one will be trumpeted as the “last piece in the jigsaw” again!!!!
£350k fee – we know how to splash the cash don’t we! I wonder if anyone has told the poor bastard that he will probably be playing in the third tier of English football next year or if he doesn’t fancy it Morgan needs a few more labourers on site.
Linden
I love it.
Defence leaking like a sieve.
So we bring in another Polish plumber
It’s just been reported in the wolves news now, that 90% of all the toys sold this Christmas were made in China.
So, does that mean, the population of China ate “Elves”?
I don’t think that I’ve ever read so many considered, erudite, sensible, well informed and thought out contributions on one blog before.
Even Clive has surprised me with his laid back and calm effort.
Keep drinking the Boddys mate!
The trouble is that I find myself agreeing with both extremes of opinion.
Kenny doesn’t seem to be able to see the wood for the trees on several selection issues and his reaction to opponents changing their tactics is sadly lacking.
But getting rid of him is not a sensible move and, given a decent chance and decent backing I would still back him to turn things around.
But let’s see what happens with ‘the announcement’ tomorrow.
To quote a certain Southern Belle from a film about flatulence:-
…”Tomorrow is another day”.
I’m for getting rid of KJ now’only if we’ve got someone to come in straight away, but the only trouble with that is you can’t trust the 2 Ms with any management appointment’s from their past records.
So as much as I don’t like saying it…stick with KJ until he walks or his position becomes untenable.
On the shambles of yesterday, KJ should shoulder some of the blame with his team choice and tactics if he’s got any.
Don’t want to go over what’s already been said about the game , but I’ve gotta say DB isn’t a Captain.
He’s to young and inexperienced to be given that shackle,i said last season and this term we need a leader who’s got balls.
If there is an announcement tomorrow the best we can hope for is a new owner but not anything to do with Poxey.
Even if the bid for zyro has been put in and the player has agreed terms etc , I can’t see how any announcement can be made before January really . ( I’m only guessing tho ! )
anyway .. I like the wingers we ve got . Back four is the problem and we re going to destroy any grains of confidence in young e banks landel if we keep playing a player who’s not ready and making him responsible for our defeats .
I was wandering( hoping ) if this rumoured announcement could be about the ownership ..even that worries me.i can’t help but dread some half baked consortium that would keep Jez moxey at our club .
And That f….. Steve Morgan is a grade one c..
He has so much to answer for .. The way that he has de stablised our club is so disrespectful to sir jacks legacy
That f….ing five minute football fan . What a f…ing w……r
I shall be in the north bank with my eldest on Boxing Day and I’ve got tickets sorted for charlton ,West Ham , Brighton , q p r and Brentford , plus the home games in between on my season ticket . Where I shall be supporting the wolves win lose or draw , same as I’ve always done . That’s what it’s about Morgan !
The tea lady has released this pre-prepared press statement: I wish to go on record a thank the amazing support and offers of help from wolves suppers one even offered to re-morgage his house to put up the 300 steak and kidney Puka pies for my Bail.
I have no regrets about putting 1 tea bag in every cup and I would do it again I’ve been at the club now as tea lady fro 25 years and never in that time until Mr Morgan took control was I aske to recycle the tea bags it goes against everything I believe in, I will not and cannot stand tight fisted scoucers and his CEO mr Moxey they have cut and cut to the point I only have 3 wheels on my trolley they refuse to replace the broken one, which I add was broken by Mr Moxey having fell on it while running to the kiosk to see if there were any pies left over from the match.
She had to go for footballing reasons.
JEZ MOXEY announces he is fed up with all the critcism “I am fed up with being called a fat bastard and a fucking twat”. He is to blast off from Kazakhstan in January and spend 6 months on the International Space Station practising a moon walk and attempting to eat a pie whilst it floats about in the capsule. Mr Moxey said “Bollocks to eating pies in Wolverhampton. It’s much better eating a pie a few miles away from the fuckin moon”. When adked about Kenny Jackett, Jez said ” Kenny is doing a fuckin brilliant job but the Board think he needs some help. For this reason we are appointing The Soup Dragon off The Clangers in an advisory capacity from 1st January”. The Soup Dragon has recently overseen the famous victory for Neptune at Mars by 2-0.
That can not be true . How could anything blast off with that fat bastard on it ..
I feel that it must be cleared up as to why Jiz did not blast of with that ginger get from Chichester and the other two last week, instead he will blast off in early January. It is well known that Jiz is a huge supporter of that stupid game where instead of kicking the ball like civilised and sensible oiks, they hit it with a piece of willow.
WTF is that all about, typical English game kick a fat bloke when he’s down. Well it’s obvious really when you think, the object is for some South African bloke to hit three bit’s of wood with that little red ball whilst an English bloke whacks at it unsuccessfully for two or three arse numbing days.
Anyway talking about arse numbing, Jiz the fat bloke from Wolves who’s off to the ISS soon has been delayed as his arse is rather over proportionate to the rest of his lardy arse body and this is causing concern at the Baikanour launch site in Uzbeckhamistan. The weight to lift and thrust to velocity equation is well bonkers and just to get Jiz up will take another 10,000lbs of liquid oxygen.
Now things are tight around Christmas and everybody’s belt apart from Jizzy’s has to be tightened, so in the interests of project continuum they asked Jiz to go on a crash diet. Well the commotion that caused with poor old fatboy could be heard above the bombings in Damascas which by the way, is a bloody good bleach for cleaning pie stains off yer suit.
So the Russians and the British have asked those lovely folk in Houston for help with Jiz shedding 60 pounds of useless fat, (a bloke called Clive from Houston suggested chopping his feckin head off) that did’nt go down too well, how could you have a CEO of a once successful football club go running around with his head cut off like a headless chicken, that could never happen???? Could it.
Anyway that was kicked into touch, so an American bloke who is related to a bloke called Cheesebugger from some shit hole called Wolvo somewhere near Sandwell came up with a great solution. He knew Jiz was a supporter of that daft feckin game that his cousin was flying out to watch on Tuesday, so he suggested an Arse transplant for Jiz. Well it is a known fact that there is a high percentage of tissue rejection in such procedures and lots of drugs are used to supress the rejections. Well once the word got out round Sandwell that there were drugs involved in the operation the scheme was over run with applicants wanting their Sandwell arseholes gotten rid of. Nevertheless Jiz persisted with his appeal and finally got the go ahead from the surgeons last week, hence the feckin fat twat on the phone to his surgeon when our team were losing at home to (we all feckin hate Leeds)
There is good news and a spot of bad news to this explanation,
The good news.
The operation went ahead last week and the drugs were administered to suppress the tissue rejection and Jiz got his go faster, slimline space acceptable new Arse installed in a 52 hour operation.
The bad news,
The Arse tissue rejected the fat twat.
So he has to go back to slimming to lose his old lardy arse and is down to 8 pies a day and dropping, the weight loss has been dramatic and so successful that Ben Ainsley will be getting all Jiz’s old trousers to make sails for his new yachts for the next eight years.
Amazing stuff really, but finally the fat bathplug will be blasted off to space to join the poor twats on the ISS, once Jiz is on board the announcement planned for tomorrow with a smokescreen about some Polish plumber joining Wolves will be revealed. The true story is, due the cutbacks it was planned to end the ISS project so Jiz is the ideal bloke to bring to an end a perfectly good well run system that has been around for ages.
Eventually after Jiz has ruined it and run it into the ground, (about a week) they had planned to bring it down to earth over Austrailia, but since them tosser yanks dropped the last one on all them wallabies, a new plan was hatched and instead they will bring it back to earth over South Africa, now not to worry them nice Nissan Main Dealer people we are assured by Jiz that it’s completely safe (that’s a comfort) and most of it will burn up on re-entry into the earths atmosphere, bouncing harmlessly off the ozone. But, and this is a big butt Jiz, Cheesebugger you should take note here mate and stay at home to watch Wolves, there is some more good and bad news.
The Bad news.
The really big bits will fall into South Africa and will probably kill a few folk.
The Good news,
The Brits, Yanks and Ruskis are planning to bring it down over some stupid game where they hit a red ball with a piece of wood. They estimate,if they time it right and it drops after the first two games, there will be no-one hurt as Soth Africa will have wiped the floor with the English and the ground will be empty because they’ve all gone home to Watch Wolves on Sky stuffing the Ammers in the FA cup.
Hope that clears that Shite up.
And we all thought that Cheeseburger looses it when he was pissed……
Were buying two bargain basement forwards so that’s afobe and holt off then.
No word on a central defender just hope we don’t have to sell another key player to balance moxeys books. Graham, McDonald and iorfa are still being looked at.
No doubt a good chunk of the money made in January will go to lowering the scousers asking price for the club.
Depressing times and after it all looked relatively rosey until the stearman sale.
Not so much a lowering of the asking price ….. More a nailed on case of bumping up the red nose’s profit on an already ripped off club ….. !!
While there’s a lull in the proceedings before the ‘BIG ANNOUNCEMENT’ from the Mol, have a look at this, it’ll bring a smile to your face. How many of ua were there?
Pride, passion, fight, skill, never-say-die attitude.
It’s got it in spades!

That was a brill interlude whilst waiting for them to tell us they’ve bought a pole. Nice to see a full ground.
🙂
Just watched that Doog, followed by the Championship play-offs final 3-0 win over Sheffield United. Looking at the quality of players we had then in 2003 compared to what we have now after a further 12 years of Moxey rule and the heart bleads.
There’s no future for this club until we get rid of the man.
Bloody hell DooG,that brought back some fantastic memories in the north bank.
Great mix of young and old in that squad but with great big hearts and bollocks to match with that experience we lack in this squad…nice one DooG.
Two old boys are sat in the stand watching their the Wolves as they have done for the last 40 years.
Bill says to Alf “I wonder if there is football in the afterlife”
“I don’t know pal, but whoever goes first, come back and let the other know”
They both agree and over time Alf becomes ill and passes away.
One night Bill is in bed and hears a ghostly voice calling his name.
“Is that you Alf?” says Bill
“It is mate”
“Do they have football up there then?” Bill asks.
Alf pauses then says “Well, do you want the good news or the bad news?”
“Errr, well I’ll have the good news first”
Alf tells him “Ok, well it’s fantastic mate. All the old team are here, Waggy, The Doug, Bert Williams, all our departed heroes, and we play with them against the Baggies every Saturday”
“That sounds great!! Well whats the bad news then?”
“You’re up front this weekend”
That was October 25th, 2003.
It was my birthday.
I was in San Francisco.
I called my dad when I sat down for breakfast and he told me we were 0-3 down.
I called him back after breakfast and he told me final score.
Unfuckinbelievable!!
And a few years later, whilst travelling in Alaska, I met a Leicester fan who had been at that game.
Piss take time!!
But
Look at the relative positions of the two clubs now
And, what is the only thing still at The Wolves that was there then?
Yeah, fuckin’ moxey
And did y’all notice, after our third went in, clipboard copying what Dave Jones signalled to the players?
Sums him up perfectly
But still great to watch!!
FOwb
Looks like the Zyro deal is going through. I’m mildly surprised we’re buying another winger though, given our deficiencies elsewhere.
Still, either way. Have a look at this. Seems he does this every week. 🙂
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zKcBwurQ644
Watched that and the Polish commentator pronounced his name as Zero,
“Nuff said”
He must be pretty good fo get 3 almost identical goals in the same game
It begs the question if he is as good as his PR machine is making out why so cheap and why Wolves.
Every singing we have made other clubs has ” supposed ” to have been interested, it’s just spin by the press and Wolves.
So we are buying a pole for the opersition to dance round and then waltz through our static defence.
Just the type of player we need Kenny as you have pointed out in the local rag we need players and experienced ones and that. Kenny reminds me of when I was teaching my daughter to read when she was five I had to repeat the words over and over and over again and eventually she would get it.
Now Kenny we need experienced defenders, experienced defenders, experienced defenders, yes that’s it experienced defenders, right repeat that back to me, NO Kenny NOT more midfielders, experienced defenders your not going out there will no sweets until you get this right and ill stop your pocket money…………………..now what do we need…………..NO………..that’s it to bed go on….!
That video of the Wolves/Leicester game should be watched by the whole team before every game.If that doesn’t gee them up,nowt will.
Phone rings in Moxey’s office
SM : Jez it’s me. Is everything ok, I was waiting for an announcement?
JM: Not good Steve, everyone thinks I have lost the plot
SM: I bloody hope not Jez I can build a house on that
JM : Not that kind of plot Steve
SM: is there another kind then? Anyway how is it going?
JM: badly. We are conceding too many goals and Kenny’s four man defence isn’t working
SM: I didn’t know I had a foreman called Kenny.
JM: Not that kind of foreman Steve
SM: Oh is there another kind then? How about the sale have we had any bids?
JM: Some interest but nothing concrete
SM: Concrete? Can you get me some Jez I’ll need some for that building plot
JM: We’re in a state Steve
SM: Estate? Can we build an estate? Excellent.
JM: I’m starving, think I will pick up a pie on the way home – I know this great chippy.
SM: Excellent! When can he start ? We will need him if we are building an estate.
That conversation would sounds about right for them pair pricks…I mean picks..
Reading so many considered comments on this Blog has lifted my spirits after Sunday’s debacle.
Yes, KJ’s team selections are sometimes baffling – particularly his persistence with EBL. And, yes, I find very frustrating his seeming inability to respond to situations in play. Any substitutions that happen are few and usually too late in the day to make any impact.
But, as many have already said, there is no point in changing the manager whilst the club is in a state of flux. Instead, the Wolves hierarchy needs to make an unequivocal statement of support to back him in January. A play-off place is not the issue, it’s simply a question of pulling away from the relegation zone.
When speaking about KJ’s position at Wolves, I wish that we would refer to him being replaced as opposed to being sacked. The former would imply that there is someone else ready to step in, whereas the latter might make us think that we are better off without a manager.
Having said that, I would think that a vast majority of fans would rather see a new manager, with new ideas ( and even better, some funds behind him). I don’t think KJ has managed the situation very well – both onfield and off. His decisions onfield has left a lot of fans bewildered and the attitude of the players seem to indicate that they are not well prepared when stepping on the ground. That is also KJ’s area of responsibility.
So, no Big Announcement today after all, Moxey Spin no doubt. Wind the punters up take their minds of the shite goings on.
Just heard, Ding Lei, China’s 10th richest man and CEO of Gameboy is the new kid in the running.
But, Morgan is allegedly holding out for a percentage shareholding so the Reubens have walked away. All speculation but it keeps us entertained whilst they pull our club down.
Kenny wasn’t at the U21s tonight as they got thumped 3-1 by Millwall, maybe he’s in talks with Bayern Munich.
Lot’s of people have said, ” If KJ goes who would want to come to Wolves”?
Well here’s a thought, Luton town are after a new manager and they’ve had 140 applicants.
Also, Wolves fans are going ballistic over the fact that the 3000 tickets for the FA cup game at Ammers sold out this morning.
They’ve not even reached General sale, Wolves were offered 5000 or 3000. They chose 3000. Brewey and Piss up springs to mind.
It’s a funny old game
It’s not the number of applicants Stu, it’s whether any of them are an improvement on Kenny. There’s plenty on here who think they could do a better job but just because they think it, doesn’t make it true.
Not long ago, I wanted his baby and I don’t want our hypothetical offspring to come from a broken home just yet.
Wolfstroker.
I found the article, it was 110 but close enough to be interesting. We would probably get one of the Six, Terry Connors was one of those.
LUTON NARROW DOWN SEARCH
The Hatters appear to be closing in on a new manager, with 110 applications whittled down to the final three.
It is understood 20 applications have been submitted from current managers of clubs outside the UK, with six of the 110 from coming from managers whose primary claim to fame is winning the league on Football Manager…
The League Two club are hoping to appoint someone by the end of the year.
‘Rivals join hunt for Brighton loan star Van La Parra’ who makes this crap up LOL.
Colin,
Got to be the headline of the year that one.. What a looser he was, he even came 7 th in Sports personality of the year (diving category). Before Brighton grabbed him we’d been told Leeds were definitely going to sign him in January. They deserve him.
Stu he was a flop but apparently he has scored 2 in 4 and made assists. I do think some of our players may go on to do better elsewhere. (My comment could be taken as Irony). As you probably know i dont have a lot of faith in Kenny’s future although as Tim Spiers says in his recent article he still has enough support among the fans to be given more time. If you dont mind me saying so you seem to blow one way then the other but why not ? Always enjoy your informed comments Stu.
Colin.
I don’t mind at all. When RVLP came, just like the Brighton fans at present I saw potential and blew smoke up his bum along with many folk. But then he started his dying swan stuff, Harry Arter springs to mind and that was it. He just went downhill then.
Same with KJ, best thing since crusty bread at one time and then stupid management decisions, poor tactics, crazy team selection and lack of nous on the substitutions was it for me. Then when we all started rounding up on him I started to feel sorry for him, Iv’e always been a sucker for the little guy. So I voted on the poll the other day in his favour, Got that wrong as well, it was 31% for him and 59% against.
I don’t think EBL will ever cut it come to think of it neither will Doherty and I was one of the first on here to slag them both off, But due to KJ and other factors as Kenny stated,”It is what it is” so when EBL had a half decent game the other day I said so.
So no I don’t mind you saying.
Iv’e been married for 48 years to an axe murderer one day and a sweet deliate lotus flower the next,so blowing hot and cold is normal for me.
RVLP has tremendous ball skills and great pace, two of the essential ingredients to make a first-rate attacking footballer. With these skills (a bit like Graham) he should take defenders on and commit them, but I noticed a certain reticence when playing in the Old Gold shirt. Either he lacked confidence or is a tad ‘frit – I think the latter. Someone should tell him that if you go past your man you are likely to get kicked in the air – it’s part of the package. However the defender is likely to get booked and therefore will think twice for the rest of the game. Unless he get’s this sorted he will never realise his potential (and that’s why we should let him go).
You, Stu, will remember that the Wag used to take an awful kicking when referees allowed what would now be red card ‘tackles’. He used to get up, dust himself down and go at them again as he knew he had the defender rattled – oh the youth of today….. no bottle.
When Ar wer a lad. Ee lad Ave still got piece of Waggys shinbone that Norman Hunter hacked off in mid flight of one of Waggy’s runs. But, he did ger up and go on to score. True lad, the youth o teday.
🙂
Here’s an interesting piece I spotted on the interweb this morning. Should help to keep the troops happy if it happens.

Now that would be a good present from Santa
Kop a load of this, really funny, not only can’t they win but they can’t sing either.

I’m having doubts that this Zyro transfer will go through. The medical is taking a loooong time which, given that the guy had injury problems throughout the autumn (including a serious ankle injury) and only returned to training in November suggests to me that Legia are looking to offload him. Another thing – he was rated at over a million last summer – so why is he now available for 350k ?
Hi guys , daily reader , first time blogging, so will start positively, wolves 3 reading 1 Don’t have a blogger name yet so maybe just ‘in Bali ‘. First game about 1973 Leicester night game one all Hooked , best league cup final 1980 , and next best strangely Ipswich at home 2013 !!
