The beginning of the year is an opportune time to start thinking about the last home match of the season.
Why? Because that fixture, traditionally, is when we hold the annual Bloggers’ Ball Bash and welcome old and new friends – anyone who holds dear all things Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Molineux plays host to Fulham in Wolves’ final home match of the 2018/19 season. The match is scheduled for 3pm on 4 May 2019, but timings could change if the match is chosen for tv coverage. This will be finalised six weeks ahead of the scheduled date.
The 2018/19 Wolves Bloggers Ball Bash (title may be subject to change!) will be held on Saturday 4 May 2019 at Novotel Wolverhamton Hotel. Final timings and other details of the event will be confirmed nearer the time.
Anyone interested in staying at the Novotel on 4 May, or a combination of days over that weekend, is encouraged to immediately telephone the hotel’s reception desk on 01902 871100 requesting the Wolves Deal (£75:00 inclusive of bed, breakfast, car parking and discounted bar drinks).
The Bloggers’ Ball Bash is not a closed event, for the benefit of the usual suspects (though they are always welcome). It is open to anyone who reads the wondrous entity that is the Wolves Blog and wants to meet the people behind the blog handles.
Please put 4 May 2019 in your diaries. We look forward to seeing you.

A lot hinges on whether the Fulham game gets chosen for tv coverage: I’m hoping for an event on the evening of Saturday 4 May but we may need to switch to the afternoon if the game has an evening start that day. We won’t know until 6 weeks before.
Staying overnight at the Novotel is of course optional.

I could say it takes the format of arriving upright and enjoying yourself (or selves) , having a good natter to some of the nicest people you could ever wish to meet, trying to remain upright, reminiscing about days gone by, (wolves of course) and relaxing with folks who will certainly become your mates.

Thanks Twix. I missed you in Christchurch NZ because you came back to UK a few days before I got there for the test match. What a lovely place. I walked all round Hagley Park and the botanical gardens. And needless to say the pubs dotted around the city. If I remember The Pegasus just down the road from the cricket ground past the hospital was an excellent venue for both beer and food. Will be nice to catch up with you geezers again at The Bash.
