There’s no escaping it. Wolves are going to need at least one significant result from their next three away matches.

Forest will provide a stern test, but there’s an argument to say the City Ground is probably a more likely source of joy than St. Andrew’s or the Riverside.
It would also be nice to avenge the 3-0 hammering they gave us in the middle of that horrendous five game losing run in November.
Wolves just didn’t come out for the second half of that match and Forest deservedly put us to the sword.
Notts Forest
That was a false dawn for Stuart Pearce though. After beating us they skidded down the table and Psycho was discharged from duty.
Dougie Freedman’s arrival looked like a ‘well, who do we bring in now?’ sort of appointment, but the Scot has been a revelation.
It was only really the defeat to Norwich last time out that took the wind out of their sails in an unlikely late season charge.
That defeat was at Carrow Road, but Freedman’s home record is impeccable: played five, won five, scored 13, conceded 3.
If they beat us tomorrow and repeat the trick at Brentford on Monday, they’ll still be in with a shout. It’s all or nothing for them now, which is a daunting thought for Kenny Jackett.
Wolves
What a difference a striker makes. Derby coasted against Clarke in November but capitulated against the Dicko/Afobe connection.

I remember the Forest game at Molineux well and with no pace to get in behind their defence, they simply pushed up the field and dominated. Like Derby, they won’t have that luxury this time.
The only question is, does Kenny Jackett persevere with both strikers or sacrifice one to try and get hold of the ball?
I suspect he’ll carry on with both Dicko and Afobe and that’s probably the right tactic. At the very least, we want to go down swinging.
At the other end, I would put Carl Ikeme straight back between the sticks but I suspect Kuszczak will retain the shirt for at least one more game.
Predictions
In my seven game prediction post earlier in the week, I had this one down as a draw so I’ll stick with that.
On deeper reflection though, it probably shouldn’t really end up a draw as that result doesn’t benefit anyone greatly.
I can see Forest going hell for leather and it’s just a case of how well Wolves can stand up to the pressure and effect the game going in the opposite direction.
2-2
Up The Wolves!

Have Wolves EVER won the first game after an international break?
I’m predicting 2-1 to us, which means the score will definitely be anything other than that. Whether or not we’ve ever won the first game back I think I’ve got a 100% record of getting this particular prediction wrong this season.
Hope to see us play 2 up top, with Sako and Henry in support, and really take the game to Forest.
Last point now (I’m meant to be working!) but do any other midlands exiles find themselves having to explain why it isn’t really a derby when we play a team from the E. Mids, as no-one really cares? Oh the tribulations of hailing from the country’s forgotten third!
UTW
I think both teams will settle for a draw . They certainly don’t want to lose.
No they wont. A draw is no good to either side and both manager’s know that. Both teams will come out fighting wanting nothing more than a win. Therefore my prediction is:
Not a game I relish after seeing them 3-0 up at Moleneux with
their whole side of the ground jumping up and down..
I agree this is different and if we can balance the books against Derby we can do the same against Forest..
We need to play Afobe and Dicko together ..I would put back in Ikeme who should in theory be safer to go for the ball more in set plays..
Iorfa goes without saying if his punishment isn’t over or whatever it was..
If we look back on results and say ‘that’s when we gave ourselves a chance ‘…to win this one would be one of those ….
We need to win this one!
A difficult one but not insurmountable..
COYW
I’m with you Thomas.
It should be an open, end to end type of game, which suits our counter attacking style, if KJ goes with Afobe & Dicko. It does mean risking getting overrun in midfield, but we have to stay positive in these last 7 games imo.
COYW!
We need a point minimum out of this game, and a further 5 points minimum from the 3 games that follow if we hope to get into the playoffs, as a red nosed Scotsman famously kept saying its squeeky bum time, and we need to be confident and resiliant in all our remaining games.
I echo Sleachy’s comment – I work in Bolton, and am fed up of explaining that Wolves vs Forest is as much of a Derby as Bolton vs Sheffield Wednesday! Just because there are no big hills between Wolves and Nottingham doesn’t mean they are right near each other!
Anyway, a cagey 1-1 is my prediction – I can see us starting off a bit more adventurous, but settling back when we realise that we’d be leaving ourselves exposed against Freedman’s attacking style (especially as we’re on their turf).
“yeah but it’s still the midlands though, isn’t it?”
Draw would be a good result
I am surprised at the comments about a draw being a good result. We need all 3 points if we expect/hope to get in to the play offs.
Come on me babbies, let us put Forest out of the fight.
I’ve a growing sense of belief about the seasons prospects. This is our ‘significant result’, hopefully not the last of the season.
There is a young striker called Dicko
Who can run at a hell of a lick-o
With Benik and Sako
We’ll get our own back-o
And make Forest look pretty sick-o!
Oh! They don’t write them like that anymore!
Unfortunately, I do.
Wolves to win.
It is squeaky bum time as they say. We really need to win this one to a) avenge that miserable game in November & b) Show the doubters that we mean business.
Agree that KJ should play the dynamic duo up front and just go for it. Also bring Ikeme back if he is fit.
They’re 10 points behind the top 6 with 7 games to go – ipso facto a draw would make it +/-10 behind with 6 to go. No use whatsoever to them (and also not much use to us) so I guess they will be coming at us hell-for-leather. If we play Iorfa to negate Antonio’s pace and pack the midfield, (so only 1 up top), we can win this. After all, they weren’t that impressive at Molineux when we were going through a VERY bad patch.
An open, end-to-end game where a draw suits neither team? Only one possible outcome!
Same result as Derby – must win for both teams -open-ended match, BUT now we have strikers!!
I agree with Wolfsmans point about Antonio, who gave Docherty a real roasting at the Mol. Keep him quiet and the win will come much easier. Forest love playing on the counter attack, not so easy at home though, and I think if our front three are up for it and we start quickly we can get three points here.
Living in Nottingham, and with my daughter in law and her dad at the game, if the Florists win we will have unmerciful stick for months. Nice to be on the front foot with a black and gold victory, so I can take the mickey for a change. With a massive away following tomorrow, fully expect a hard earned victory. One step nearer the playoffs thankyou very much!!
Confident we will win.
Are we playing them at Basketball too?
No mate. He can’t decide whether it will be 5-5 or 2-1.
Gotta feeling KJ has the guys really fired up for this one. His interviews of late and his belief we’ll make the play offs……we have to win this to keep us in the running. Come on the Wolves.
Freedman has often been bit of thorn in our side. I was at Palace for the play off semi when he came off the bench to kill the tie with 2 late goals. When he did briefly play for us he didn’t get a fair crack of the whip.
Staying positive we have got some fire power and pace now but hope we dont sacrifice too much in midfield. With counter attacking sometimes less is more. Do boxers who come out swinging land the knock out punch ?
I might be tempted to throw the gauntlet down to Dicko and start with Afobe on the bench but certain to bring him on some time or other. When we went gung ho against Bournemouth we flopped. As the saying goes what can possibly go wrong ?
We have to win.
Any other result will hardly breed confidence, nor put pressure on those above us.
It’s a cup final and we need to make a statement.
We must carry on the form we had prior to the International break.
We might, lose or draw and still go up, but I doubt it….
I think RVLP will score the winner…..
Just has to be a win.
A draw is no use so it’s all or nothing now.
UTW
Not sure that Forest have anything to play for anymore.
They are all must win games now. Starting with Forest.
As myself and others have said recently on this blog, we shouldn’t be too concerned about anyone in this league, home or away, on our day.
We have 7 more times to have our day, and if the team stay fit, there’s no reason why we can’t.
We owe Forrest this for sniffing around Sako last year and I hope he shows them just what they are missing and what a mistake he would have made had he gone there.
Come on Me Babbies!!!
Let’s get the holiday weekend off to a flying start.
At least that irritating little git Billy Davies wont be there tomorrow.
Forest fan, no beef with you guys, will be a cracking game with a full house expected,we turn up and we definately nick it, anything less and….game on, could go either way. Good luck guys, if we don’t get up, make sure you guys do in the place of Derby:)
Cheers James.
I might get some stick from fellow bloggers but I’ve always had a bit of a soft spot for your lot.
Cloughie used to watch my nephew’s junior football team in Quarndon and always had an encouraging word for them and quite often a cup of tea too.
Both our clubs should be fighting it out in the Premier League.
Definitely, both clubs should be top flight, just a case of getting there…. championship is a tough league to get out off, anyone is capable on their day, was at your place when we won back in November, feeling amongst the forest fans of “we got away with that!” Which you will probably agree, all about confidence, both teams have grown and are two form teams. Bring your brollys tomorrow, gonna be raining to add to the mayhem, 29k tickets sold so far so with your allocation should be a good atmosphere. Cheers guys.
Cheers James, and welcome to our blog mate. I will be there tomorrow and am looking forward to a hard fought game. Will definitely be close, but, obviously, I want us to nick it. I wish you well for the rest of the season, but I feel you may have left it a tad too late. As for us, we are pushing our luck to get in the playoffs too. The allocation of tickets given to us have been sold out, so it should be a good atmosphere.
Was really looking forward to this game as it’s one of the nearer ones and I too have a soft spot for Forest having seen some of my earliest games there and also thinking Trent Bridge is the country’s finest cricket ground. Not that that would have made me content with anything but a golden win and one of the worst sights is standing opposite the Trent End and seeing it erupt when Forest score. But then I found our allocation sold out…..gutted. And I won’t be able to pick up the polo shirt either, Brompton! And I’ve given up on predicting for this season.
James.
Your’e a Gentleman and a scholar, always nice to exchange real banter with genuine fans, life is more important than football, all the bullshirt that surrounds it and the animosity has no place in sport. ( well except when we play WBA)
I had a spell teaching the youth team at Forest a few years ago and taught a really nice bunch of lads, with the exception of an abnoxious Michael Dawson, what a pleb he was.
I was always made welcome, treated well and paid really well also thank you very much. Iv’e been to Forest many many times with the Gold & Blacks and always enjoy the atmosphere.
Good luck with your aims for the rest of the season and thank you for your sporting honest comments.
🙂
Peakwolf, I’ll email you after the game to discuss posting it to you mate.
If you turn up you might nick a goal mate. If we keep another clean sheet (joint best record in the division) and bring our shooting boots then you could be in for a long afternoon.
Just saying.
I’m going for a Wolves win … plain and simple..
I don’t have the intelligence to create a rhyme or play on words like Sako and Dicko and Macco and Ikemeo and Dohertyo ….nurse ……
As has been said, every game is must win from here on in but to actually do that would be pretty much miraculous. So, if points are to be dropped between now and May 2nd, let it be to Forest and not Ipswich in two weeks time.
Make no mistake, this will be a tough assignment. Forest have players coming back from injury and useful loanees boosting their ranks. I saw Chuba Akpom play for England u20s last weekend and he looked a real threat so our backline will need to be at their miserly best. I’m not sure the ‘nothing to play for’ thing would be good for us either. Pressure off so play with freedom.
I suppose, like before every big game, I tend to fear the worst. But the confidence within the team has instilled me with confidence too so a very hard-fought draw for me.
COYW 🙂
Up the Wolves! Afobe x2 sako x1
after 2 successful predictions hope it’s 3 on the trot.coyw
Hope my gut feeling is wrong.
Forest will be desperate as they need to win virtually all of their games. That may suit us and we can pick them off. Not going tomorra but went a couple of years ago.Got completely pissed lost everyone and ended up on a train to Leicester. Luckily came back to my senses got off somewhere and managed to get back to Brum. F**ckin good day though!!
I think this one is all about Stearman and Batth for us. I back Sako, Henry, Afobe and Dicko to get us at least one goal, but the key is going to be keeping the door closed at the other end. I’m being bold and backing us for a massive three points, with our centre backs throwing themselves in front of anything goalwards.
There was a time when we had Forest’s number and we’d beat them every time, against any odds, starting from that cup final in 80. Anyone remember Michael Branch not giving them the ball back and scoring and pissing them off? I laughed so much that day.
Recently we’ve lost the plot a bit with Forest but it’s time to restore order to the food chain here. Let’s beat the krap out of them.
It would be great to win and put us right on the tail of the teams above us, as well as damaging Forest’s hopes, but a draw would be more realistic in the circumstances.
I live in hope but Wolves can often find a way to wreck my dreams…….stilll, it’s rarely dull is it ?
Bloody hell I thought I would be the first to post for once but 100s of you have been on
We haven’t got a great record at Forest. I have seen us win there 4 times and I’m hoping that will be 5 tomorrow.
We were on a good run and the international break came at a bad time for us.
We owe them one for the game at Molineux this season. Question is – will we “turn up”?
Against Bournemouth, Brighton & Sheff Wed recently, we have seen all options
Just don’t see us winning this one.
Now or never
UTW
I still blame Forest for Peter Knowles’s retirement.
They had absolutely nothing to do with the Jehovahs nabbing him, but his last match was against them, we were leading 3 -0, and Henry Newton got a hat trick to make it 3 – 3, and me and skinhead Tim had to fight off a bunch of Forest fans from the top of the Penn bus!!
1969 I think, something around there.
So, Forest = Knocker Knowles leaving us in my book, so they must pay, every time we play them.
We got a modicum of payback at that little do at Wembley in March 1980, but still not enough.
Therefore the fighting history serum which is injected into every Wolves player upon arrival will kick into high gear tomorrow, and we will stuff ’em!
As Peter O ‘Toole screamed in Lawrence of Arabia…..
“No Prisoners!!!!!”
Or as Corporal Jones screamed on numerous occasions in Dads Army….
“They don’t like it up ’em, Mr Mannrinn”
FOwb
ps
Y’all will be glad to know I have just booked my flight to England for the end of the month.
And we’ve all booked on the return flight. BBQ at CFH’ s Hoose. Bags I the first drive of the Big Red Truck, will it fit in the pool?
🙂
All are welcome, but Juneau will rip yer lungs out!!!
Fortune favours the brave Kenny be positive play Afobe, Sako and Dicko and go for Forest’s throat time and time again in these sort of games under manager after manager we have been to defensive sat back and let teams come on to us and over power us only to switch tactics in the lst 10 minutes to try and get something out of the game.
I’ve said this so many times under so many, to many managers if we going out let’s go out fighting lets give it a real go no regrets no ” if only we had played this player or that player ” Kennys been big us up in the local rag which has back fired on a number of his predecessors.
So Kenny put your money where your mouth is ie play our best players in there natural positions and play them all because if you don’t to me you don’t have the bottle when it really counts.
Keep believing!!
No point pussyfooting around if we intend to be in the play offs. Adobe & Dicko to start and blast their way through the Forest of trees. We know we can do it so let’s just go for it.
Its not a must win but it is a will win.
Don’t usually win after an international break but confident about this one. Draw no good to either team and first goal vital.
Those were the days my friend.
Agree with GoWolves – Since 1980 I always expect to win against Forest.
Like Derby, revenge will be sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m starting to believe the play-offs might be possible even though I still don’t think M&M want us to go up. I misread KJ’s target as 2 points on average for the last 13 games. He actually said last 15 games and we are currently 1 point ahead of that target. We’ve taken 17 points from the last 8 games. If it’s true that 30 points out of the 45 available will get us at least into the play-offs then we need 4 wins and a draw over the coming 7 games or 3 wins and 4 draws. But will another 13 points be enough? Let’s hope so and let’s get 2 of the required wins this weekend. Forest will need 7 wins to get into the play-offs so lets put their ambitions to bed tomorrow with a dominant win.
come on me babbies
I’m on a high, snorting cocaine yesterday up my nose put me right on planet Wolves and all things Jackett.
We need to win all our games from now until the last of the seven games and we can do it. We can do it because we’ve done it many times this season.
Feckin spiders crawling all over me iPad, driving me mad but onwards we go. We should have stuffed many of these promotion pretenders but for lot’s of matches we just did not turn up. Now like stuey boy we’re on a high so lets get some Bollox and go for 7 games, we have the players, we certainly have fantastic, no, Brilliant fans, so COYW.
(Point of fact, the cocaine was sprayed up my snitch by the Gastro consultant at Shrewsbury hospital, fitting a Naso Gastric tube)
The only drug Iv’e had in my boring mundane life is Gold and Black fairy dust. And what a ride that’s been.
Only about 1000 tickets left for Brum so get off yer arse-nals and get over there to shout em on.
Onwards & Upwards.
🙂
I was just looking back at some old blogs (DOOGooder’s postcard actually), and saw a post from lynx, who also appeared in the Bloggers meet video. Anybody know what happened to him ?
USWolf,
We spotted this a while back, some of the bloggers were fearing the worst. Personally I used to love his contributions, a really funny guy. So we pray he’s just having a sabbatical.
I had a picture that I always wanted to put on the site which always reminded me of him. Maybe Thomas or Ben could get some info as they hold access to all the e-mail addresses.
Cheers Stu, the picture is uncanny.
I enjoyed his contributions too, and he was quite a regular, which was what made me think after such a sudden and total absence.
I hope everything is O.K. with him.
Stu,
All those mornings spent in pain,
All those nights, high on cocaine,
The disillusion, searching in vain,
For keys to turn your life insane…… ©
Come on you Wolves….
This result will get us all believing.
Come…on…you…Wolves!
One of my favourite games ever was the 1-0 win at City ground in the promotion season. Could history repeat itself? Last time it was a bargain but kightly who popped up with a late winner. This time another bargain in Afobe to pop up with a golden goal late on. Win here and I will genuinely believe we have the momentum to take us into the automatic promotion picture. 3 wins in our next 3 games is very possible I’d we can find the momentum we had before the break. Then we would be right amongst it.
Try not to come back to often with more comments (honest) but i am not sure this is really a do or die game. It might be more a must not lose than a must win. That pressure should really be on Forest. If we draw we keep them at arms length meanwhile just ahead of us Ipswich v Bournemouth, Derby v Watford and Brentford have a derby game at Fulham. And there will still be 6 games to go. It might be a time for some cool heads lets not get too FECKING STRESSED !!!
Coke over at Shrews Hospital? thats a day out and a half… Should not advertise it as there’ll be q queue!
With regards to Forest tomorrow, they see this as their final shot of closing the gap and gate crashing the top 6. Anything less than a win for them will be the end of their season. It will be all out attack from them as they have nothing to lose and everything to gain. We “could” just about afford to lose this one as long as we win most of the following 6 games.
We will not lose it though as they will likely be a little gung-ho to get on a run and our pace will hit them.
So in missing out on the Led Zep comments on the last blog… Let’s go to forest and make that “Big Log” into mulch!
Let’s go one better and put a fright up the rest of the top six come tomorrow afternoon and really show
them what we’re all about. It’s a tough three games in a week where we’ll find out what division we’ll be in next season.
So its up to them, the balls in there court,so to speak, let the games begin. All we can do is roar them on.AS EVER,UTW.
very, very interesting game, with all results viable and able to be rationalised. The pessimistic side of me (as often does) just wins out again.
Shit or bust time. No use going for a point, we need all 3. Tough game but we have more than enough talent in our squad to do the job.
Saw the pre-match interview with KJ at the training ground and noticed Ikeme was putting in a decent display. Might he be starting , or is it too early after his layoff ? KJ also full of praise for Kevin Doyle – would be great if he came on as a sub and scored the winner 🙂
Anyway ………….
Onwards & Upwards
🙂
Need a win here, not a draw, however if you can’t win then don’t lose as the saying goes, i will all ways take a draw, especially if Wolves are losing and come back to gain a point.
With seven games left its time to go for it and bag all three points whenever possible.
I see Wolves are equal top on clean sheets with Middlesborough, K J will be proud of that little stat and will want the team to finish there at the end of season i have no doubt.
Need to keep winning though, its going to be tough against Forest of coarse, there home form is very good, but win this and forest are gone and we all most certainly gain points on the teams above us.
So lets get the win, but but please at least don’t lose.
International break hangover
Fancy us to be clinical and bag three
Just got back from the hospital… (No Coke, but the pethadine still hits the spot StuWolf 🙂 )Got the new Wolves fan at 1am this morning. Hope the day is rounded off with a fine win!
Other daughters Middle name is Willow… I could have a Forest of my own).
Congratulations Shrews Wolf, football’s not really that important is it on such momentous events in your personal life? 🙂 Anyway I’m looking forward to an absolute thriller today. I hope it’s not a draw but I can’t really choose between us on current form.
Is she gonna be at the game today?
Congratulations mate,
Get her name down for the ladies team, they’e doing ok.
Looks just like her Grandad, no hair, no teeth and dribbling everywhere.
But the difference is, she’s beautiful.
Sorry couldn’t resist it.
🙂
Congrats! – Let’s hope she’s not lining up with a Stu equivalence in 25 years time for her coca-cola!
The PMDG’er and myself send hearty congratulations to grandparents, parents and the little she wolf cub herself.
You might be glad to hear that we will raise a glass of Yellow Tail to you all tonight in celebration of the birth and the gaining of another three points.
Hiya DOOG and Mrs PMDG …. have you got shares in Yellow Tail wine ? …..
Hiya TF & Mrs TF.
Only the Shiraz department.
Hope I’m wrong! (And I generally am this season, so Let’s hope I’m jinxing a loss to become a win)
Looking for a big statement of intent from the Old Gold boys!
Congratulations shrews wolf !
She looks like a “Molly ‘ ..perhaps …. or is the misses in charge of names ?
My misses is in charge of everything !
Back to stuff , i think wolves will win this one nil as no matter what team forest put out , we always seem to beat them when it matters . So Gary Newbond ( your a wanker ) get your crate of champagne ready ….wolves are back !
We can win this and let’s hope our rivals slip up here and there too.
No reason why we can’t win all our remaining matches !
I would take a point from this one – but hoping for more.
Last time I went to the City Ground we won (despite being already relegated) – so I’m optimistic. DF may have caused us problems in the past but there has to come a time when he can’t. The key is surely creating chances early on and taking at least one of them, With our current forward power we have a chance of doing that – and giving our defence a chance.
Although it doesn’t really benefit either side, I just can’t see anybody making that final push to nick it. Stalemate for me
I think they’ll come out faster than us and have a real go, but Kenny’s sides are grittier than those of the recent past and with our speedy strike force the gold will be shining at the final whistle.
I don’t think a point is that bad,at least 5 winable games left and I’m sure others will drop points too.
Thanks lads.. and Molly? as she is “new”, would be quite fitting! Thx
Getting nervous!!!
Or is it excitement??
This definitely looks like Forrests last roll of the dice and with our pacy forward line you get the impression that the more they really go for it the more chances will fall our way on the break.
Has a draw written all over it but as always hoping for the win
COYW
Can see it being end to end. A draw suits us more than them but a win would be a fantastic marker.
A nervy start, hope the boy’s at the back are up for the initial onslaught. Still think we will come away with 3 well earned points.
We will do well to get a draw. At least it would keep us in the hunt.
For all you guys out there who can’t make the game today, my son who lives in Inverness has phoned and said there is a link on “BEIN SPOTS 2” so if you Google it you may get to watch it.
Don’t click on any of the adverts.
Good Luck
🙂
I hope we’ll get 3 points today but my heart says it will be a draw COYW
Got to win. In Dicko we trust!!
They will go all out and hopefully we score a couple on the break.
UTW.
Adam Proudlock, last minute winner….
Good Friday madness I predict Edwards getting the winner
I think we’ll be going for a win and we can do it if we get off to a good start. Come on me babbies!
Match streaming here
http://goatd.net/
I’ m going for a Wolves win for no other reason than we have to avenge the 0-3 humiliation. KJ probably wont need to gee them up.To a man, they’ll be wanting to turn Forest over.
We always manage to cock it up when it matters most. Hope I’m wrong but we’ve all been here many times before.
Think we have one crap game left in us so let’s get it out of the system here
If we concede early then Forest will go berserk
Still see us getting 12 points from final games, but starting Monday
Hell feckin yeah…. Shame about the goal at the death, but the 3 points is what we wanted!
Afobes goal was devine and Sako, well no one can say he dived!
Now to see if I’ll be allowed to call the little un Benik Bakary… What you reckon my chances are?
About the same as forest going up
I think youv’e got A better chance than new Dicko
Unfortunate photo on Ex&Shit3.
–
Dicko looks on dejected as Afobe cops a feel from Dicko’s best buddy.
You can’t help but tick the like box on that one !!
It’s like the time Princess Anne met the oxford boat crew.
She didn’t know whether to shake their hands or kiss their Cox.
Wow wee. Was it Stingray that said “Anything can happen in the next half hour!”
Thank you Cardiff… If they had not have loaned Cheatmouth Kenwyne then Ipshit could have won this one… It appears Kenwyne came on as a sub for a defender to go all out attack and pulled it off! Goal difference… Can we make up 4 in 7 games? I think we can do it one against Leeds!
Now to keep an eye on the Derby result… I’d settle for a draw for them too (even if it does knock us down back to 8th on goal difference) as it will close the pack at the top… Squeaky butt time for those trying to hold onto the top 2 spots will have mistakea all over the place…
We have been chipping away gradually at those points the last few games and it’s slowly paying off.
What a great end of season run in!
Closed to 7 points for 2nd place (although I’m still resigned to the playoffs, but you just never know!)
I like how my word mistakea was a mistake! I should really proof read… But I can be arsed.
With every huge result like this I get more and more confident. I don’t think there is a team in the top 6 who are currently playing with the momentum that wolves are. There is always a team who makes a late charge and this year it is us. I can’t see anything other than 2 wins in our next 2 games. Beat Leeds comfortably at home and then to St andrews. Although a local derby it’s hardly a rocking St Andrews. Defiantley nothing to be intimidated by. With our front 3 hitting their season peak at just the right time I don’t see why we couldn’t win at least 5 out of our last 6. That could send us up automatic
