Looks very ‘orange’ – just hope is better that the current incumbent, which has been the worst shirt for many a year, not so much in style but quality.
Agreed Jed.
First impression, this looks better both in terms of quality and design.
I think we all have to come to terms with the fact we’ll never see an old gold design.
Our club colours are ‘Old Gold’ so it shouldn’t be rocket science for the club and Burrda to produce ‘Old Gold’, in fact I have an old gold shirt from when I was a kid maybe they can colour match it similar to what Dulux do with their paint!
Can’t see the Premier League badge…
…can’t stop thinking about Sunday
Don’t bloody go saying that mate. For 5mins id forgot about Sunday! Well, 2mins.
I like it. I used to get well excited about strips but as I get older I tend not to give a toss. Probably because there is a new one every year.
It doesnt matter if its made of gold bullion, with a breathable futuresweat proof lining and a 3D image of Steve Bull’s crotch…the club will ditch it after a season anyway.
they can wear old gold bhurkas with black pinstripes, sponsored by Apollo2000 as long as we stay in the most commercial league in the world that makes all this possible every year in the 1st place.
I liked the chaucer one of our promotion season.can’t we have that one back?!
I do like this though. 7/10 on first glance
Going to Fans Parliament tomorrow lads.
Agenda is pretty much devoted to ‘safe standing’ as we have a rep from the Football Supporters Federation attending to help make the case.
Any thoughts on that or, indeed, any other matters then just get in touch.
On topic, I’d like to know if the plans for the new North Bank includes increasing knee room; I’m just over 6 feet tall and both the North Bank and Steve Bull stands are really uncomfortable.
Perhaps I need to relocate to the South Bank and stand…
couldn’t they have scheduled the meeting after the outcome of Sunday, bearing in mind 1/2 the questions will be irrelevent in a matter of hours?
I’d like to know if the club would entertain the notion of spending less money on transfer fees and more on wages, considering the gross cost of surman, halford, mairhoffer, mouyokolo, van damme etc etc equated to about 10million.
I.E. 2/3 players in the summer with requisite Premiership experience and quality.
But back to my point: this is largely irrelevant if the worst happens and we go down as we’d be sellig, not buying!
Likewise any relegation based questions wouldn’t be entertained as we ain’t got to Sunday.
Shame they couldnt have put this back 7days as wed have loadsa more pertinent posers up our sleeve!
I’d like to know when we started changing our home kit every season? It was always every two (unless a sponsor changed).
They can kiss my @rse now, I wont be wasting any more of my money.
Can you please ask them if they understand what Old Gold is, what it looks like, and why we like it?
If they answer yes, then please ask why we don’t wear Old Gold shirts anymore.
If they say no, please explain on our behalf.
Much obliged.
Sleach.
I hanker after the Godyear shirt, or the one with the three wolves of the Kenny Hibbitt era. Unfortunately, we won promotion the first time round when Doritos was the sponsor but I was so excited that I bought it anyway. If I haven’t yet used it to clean the bike chain, it, nonethless, hides in the darker recesses of my wardrobe. But, if we stay up on Sunday, I will be even more excited and to prove it will put it on again. Not sure that I will buy the 2011-12 strip: it isn’t in the Wolves colours.
I’m not over keen on the design to be honest. I like this season’s and thought last year’s was a beauty, so I’ll be sticking with that. On first look, the worst since the Hoddle era.
Looks like an Orange training top not an old first team shirt. Not happy but will still end up buying it in June as soon as it comes out.
I THINK THE SHIRT LOOKS CHEAP,IT LOOKS LIKE A TRAINING SHIRT
NOT A STYLISH DESIGNER SHIRT THAT BEFITS THE PREMIERSHIP.
GOT TO GET BACK TO BASIC’S,I,E ,OLD GOLD AND BLACK.
The future’s bright. The future’s orange. Bright orange.
Yuk.
I seem to be one of the only ones who likes the look of the new shirt! I think that photo of Henry may have been touched up a little on the old photoshop to make it look more bright and bold. It looks nothing like that on the footage from last nights revealing of it. I may well change my mind though once I see it in the flesh.
I pretty certain I’ll be getting it either way. I didn’t get this seasons because I thought it looked cheap and nasty.
Sorry, the kit ranks alongside Ronalds backpass at Bolton, one of the seasons biggest mistakes.
Does the kit reflect what is happening at Wolves now, a new era of sound financial management, a management team that stands together without hire and fire, a youth approach to buying players, all of whom have to have that willingness to die for the Club, sensible salary approach, ground developement plans, etc etc?
No, it does not. It is just a pair of socks, a pair of shorts, and a shirt! What a huge opportunity missed to show that we really mean business now.
Personally, i can never like any Wolves kit that isn’t in our true colours which, as far as i know, are still old gold and black. For me, it’s part of the attachment to the club i’ve had for 50 years. When they run out now they could be any number of teams; Hull, Dundee Utd, Barnet i think. And i just don’t get it, it’s not as if bright orange is a big attraction for shirt sales. If i was Morgan i would demand we keep OUR unique colours which i’m proud of.I hate the motif on the front of the socks too, it’s just naff.
Karl Henry looks like he has been sniffing glue in this picture.
We should all have known that our strips were going to be sh*t as soon as Burrda (who?) were signed up! Mopney, money, money!
Yep looks like a training top sold at ALDI FOR 5.99 THURSDAY SPECIAL OFFER. WHERE THE TRADITIONAL DESIGN? THE SIMPLE OLD GOLD AND BLACK? But it’s not what they wear but the way they play…
Just seen the E & S and it looks a lot lighter than this pic which has put me off a bit. Down to a 6/10 for me.
Will wait and see when the lads get it on!
Yep, it’s Orange, unless my Toshiba is rendering colours incorrectly – doubt it. Maybe Hull will now switch to Old Gold to avoid any confusion – not that I’m predicting we’ll be playing them next season.
COTMW
What’s supposed to make us stand out is our old gold and black kit. What’s happened there? For a number of years its been like this. Surely they can get that colour?
Kit looks okay, apart from the weird squiggly line.
i like it, better than this seasons anyways.
Like everyone else I’m disappointed its not nearer the old gold we want (especially as they keep saying they are listening to the fans and changing with our input) but its a lot closer. It doesn’t look as cheap as the current one. Minimal / retro chic.
Im going to buy it anyway as i havent had a new shirt for about 4 seasons as the others have been horrible. just hoping for the prem badge to be proudly displayed as tbh thats the most important thing!
Will reserve judgement on the shirt until i see and feel it.
With regards to the Parliament i would like to know why is it that most clubs do something for their fans at least once a season especially the away support but we do jack.
Perhaps some of the 9m profit could have been used to foot the bill for free travel to Sunderland last week given the inconvenient kick off time or perhaps a subsidy on some of the more ridiculous ticket prices we pay to see our team away.
Dream on mate. You can’t have your pie and eat it! No chance I’m afraid
Another thing i would like to see on the shirt is the wolverhampton coat
of arms, I thought it looked great showing what wolverhampton was
made of. It must be old gold and black….
