Wolves have completed the signing of Hull defender Steven Mouyokolo for a reported £2.5 million (although, as always with Wolves, the official fee is ‘undisclosed’).

It’s nice to see the defence bolstered with a pacy center-half, who by all accounts was one of Hull’s best players last season, despite their relegation and horrendous defensive record.
Considering he’s so highly rated, you’d assume he’ll be pushing hard for a starting place, so it will be interesting to see if he can force his way into the side.
With three solid additions already in the bag, along with Adlene Guedioura, the loan signing of Bia and the prospect of one or two more still to come, I’m happy with how the Wolves squad is shaping up.
Is everyone else equally content?

Let’s hope he’s as good as people are suggesting. It’s difficult to get an accurate idea of a players ability when he’s playing in a defence as bad as Hull’s last season. He seems to have some pace, which was something missing the centre of Wolves’ defence. Man City away, Chelsea, Villa and Arsenal at home spring to mind.
Who do you reckon he’ll displace then, Berra or Craddock?
Is he English and can we get him to South Africa to replace any of those prima donnas who didn’t show up for a second time this afternoon?
He will replace Berra, who will be shown the door, and a replacement will be drafted in for Craddock, who will remain as a stout and resolute reserve.
FOWB
He will spot Craddock.
I like the move and like our squad. Hopefully add a quality winger to battle Kightly for the starting spot opposite of Jarvis and we are pretty much set. Wouldn’t mind the selling of a striker or two, Surman, Halford and one of Ward/Elokobi and then add one more quality player to the side with the transfer fees we would get for those players but so far so good and will be confident in the team Mick finally settles on.
Sorry, doesn’t float my boat at all.We were told that Milijas was the best thing since sliced bread, and now he can;t get in our side, or feature as one of seven subs in an international game.Surely keep on signing players from teams not good enough to stay in the PL will only make us follow the same path?
But if we cherry-pick the *best* players from the relegated sides, then in theory we should do better. But this guy I confess has been way under my radar. Still, on the Hull forums he seems very well rated (for the 20-odd games he played for them, anyhow). I hope he does well of course, and it’s not too much of a stretch to imagine him being better than Berra, but personally I’d have preferred us to have signed Hunt.
Word is Hunt’s coming too
Oh…and as for England, I have never seen such a passionless performance from our National team.Absolutely pathetic. Good on the crowd for booing those clowns off…and no.. we won’t beat Slovenia .All over again, and Capello needs to be shown the door
So you got up and watched them again Dazza? I stayed in bed. I’ve never been so disinterested in the national team. It’s a sad indictment on the Premier League that our “creative” players are exactly the same shower as four years ago – when we similarly failed to string three passes together.
Hi KW…yes, up at 4am…what a waste of beauty sleep. Next game I think is 11.30pm…so off to Brisbane City to the Pig n Whistle English pub , and more heartache…plus a few pints of John Smiths and fish & chips 🙂
“Perhaps the fan who got into the England dressing room should get a game – at least he can get through a defence.”
hahahaha….taken from BBC page comments
Great to see Wolves bringing in the target players and not losing out like last year. Players must see us as a more attarctive proposition and not definite relegation material.
Hunt signing revealed tomorrow… I knew I saw it was him in the Asda
Steven Mouyokolo is probably a good signing. Young, tall, and fast. Promising! Definitely, he will strengthen a part of the squad where we had inadequate cover. We will be very lucky to have another season in which both Craddock and Berra are so injury free as last season.
Still, I understand Dazza’s thinking. It would be nice to have at least one signing with PL experience who was not from overseas or a relegated club; but the most important thing this summer to show our ambition is to keep Kevin Doyle!
This is the defender we’ve been crying out for for 2.5 seasons now? I’m very happy with this.
Bring Back Breen!
