Few will have been surprised by the outcome.

But although only one goal separated the sides, to say the scoreline flattered Wolves is an understatement.
Aitor Karanke’s expensively assembled squad never looked likely to succumb to our patched up eleven and should have won the game by a much healthier margin.
In a disappointing sequel to last week’s morale boosting victory, Wolves were passive throughout and never got to grips with the fluidity of Boro’s midfield.
Though it seems folly to castigate particular players for their performance, we were particularly poor on the flanks and I imagine both Dominic Iorfa and Nathan Bryne will want to forget this particular Friday evening in a hurry.
The marking of Gaston Ramirez (or lack thereof) for the first goal was pitiful and it was no surprise to see the diminutive playmaker net his second, albeit fortuitously, from their side of the pitch.
Bjorn Sigurdarson, though admittedly feeding off scraps, once again did little to justify being selected ahead of Joe Mason, who did more in his late cameo than any of his colleagues had prior to his introduction.
Given the considerable outlay that was committed to securing the player’s signature, it goes without saying that Kenny Jackett needs to find a way of accomdating him in the side.
I suspect there will be many more evenings, afternoons and lunchtimes (depending on what Sky deem fit) like this to come before the end of the season, so it’d be wise to contemplate what the next campaign will bring.
Though investment is unlikely to be forthcoming from our stay away owner, we can at least look forward to welcoming some considerable talent back into the fold.
Dicko, Edwards, Graham, Williamson and Zyro will improve the team immeasurably and it’ll be interesting to see how we fare when afforded a clean bill of health.
Perhaps it’s naivety speaking, but I believe we’ll be much more formidable next time round.
Before I sign off, allow me to raise a glass to the supporters who made the trip to Teeside last night – you’re all a credit to our great club.

Mid-table mediocrity kinda sums us up this season, almost from the first kick-off. It’s the disappointment after the high hopes engendered by last season which really hurts.
I have to agree that our injuries have played a massive part in our dismal performance over the season and we should improve massively when our wounded soldiers return.
Back to square one then.
To be fair, Boro’ looked a pretty impressive side.
They reminded me a bit of the way we played when we skated Division 1 – except we had the added advantage of blistering pace in attack.
We, however, looked like a team who were intent on finding as many different ways of giving the ball away as possible. In that we were very successful, I think Siggy found most of them on his own!
And he also produced possibly the worst shot ‘on goal’ that I have ever had the misfortune to witness. About 25 yards out he sliced the ball out for a throw in, no more than about 5 yards further up the pitch.
His first touch is useless, his ability to hold the ball up is non existent and my old gran could push him off the ball whilst having a bed bath.
I agree with the general consensus that Doherty was superb and Coady gave it a decent go but we were second, or even third, best right across the board. Iorfa continues to look clumsy and McDonald tried his best but was subbed shortly after being booked because he had lost his cool and looked like a red card in waiting.
Replacing Siggy with Mason was not really an option because Mason is not suited to a lone striker role – is Siggy? I hear you ask.
Well, no he quite obviously isn’t.
At least one thing is clear to me now.
Kenny does not have the final say in whom we recruit because it’s as obvious as the rash on my neck that Mason doesn’t fit into his preferred line up. His purchase was just a sop to placate us poor buggers for the sale of Afobe.
The sort of knee jerk reaction from those on high that we have come to know and love.
Williamson and Zyro will make a big difference.
But God! – how we need it!
Doogooder, agree with all you say.
Strange that KJ doesn’t seem to rate Mason, because at least he looks like a natural footballer with a decent first touch (cf// RVLP and several others in our current lineup!)
Hope your recovery is going well, mate.
UTW!
Battling on thanks WWW.
I believe Zyro comes in to replace Siggy (if he’s ready). Mason, one of our best attackers since he arrived, should of course start next match. With these players at disposal I suspect Jacket changes the formation to a 4-4-2. Right now we need Zyro as a central striker. I assume Jackett will continue to play Helan out on the left wing, but we can’t know for sure. With Zyro, Mason and Williamson back into the fold I’m sure Wolves will bite back.
Karlir-Johanarnt Kristjanson, I have awarded you ‘theDOOGooder Cup’ for consistently being the most positive contributor on this blog.
It’s special, because it’s always more than half full.
You have my admiration mate and, if you’re at the Bloggers’ Ball in May I’ll buy you a pint.
How far would you have to travel?
Thank you for the award. I’m honored :=)
I don’t plan to come to the Bloggers Ball in may though.
I thought we were very poor all over the pitch including the Keeper.
It’s painful watching wolves play,we are a million miles away from where we want to be.
So many things to put right, I don’t know where to begin.
UTW.
John, we were dire, pathetic and sad.
Do we not practice basics, like ball control, how to pass and take a throw in?
You only needed a pair of eyes to see an illustration of the lack of respect the players must have for the manager.
I was stunned at how amateurish the performance was.
They get paid? – I’m amazed.
Hopeless, a team of Macdonald, Doherty and Helan, plus eight, almost anonymous, strangers
Sad indeed.
Start with the manager …
A painful reality check I`m afraid after the delights of beating Derby, could only bear to watch the first hour, but I`d seen enough. We were outplayed by more athletic, pacey, nimble footed players, or as the chap on Sky said, better quality players all round. We won`t get some more of these until someone invests some serious money and Morgan sells.
So many of our players were anonymous, I`ll mention Saville who looked five yards or more off the pace. If KJ was looking to build a side with Swansea style play, involving mobility, pass and move at speed, why bother signing/spending any money on Saville who is almost Darren Ferguson like in his lack of pace. Big Mac who gamely worked his socks off isn`t the quickest either.
Mid table mediocrity for the rest of the season I`m afraid, hope we get a better performance and result next Tuesday, see everyone there weather permitting.
If this season were last season? Would we have taken it?
Since we are so useless, would it not make sense against Bristol City for Mr Jacket for once to select a team and adopt tactics designed to win the game, rather than not just to lose it ?
We need some points if we are to avoid being dragged back into a relegation struggle as those behind us begin to get results. Three against Bristol City would go a long way to relieving pressure all round, and then perhaps Jacket will see the wisdom of giving some of the promising younger guys some playing time, before the season ends.
I don;t think Jackett and wisdom somehow go together!
I’m not as downbeat about that performance as the majority (apparently) on here . I thought beforehand that their experience would hurt us and it did, notably for the first goal.
Overall the back 4 were reasonably solid, barring a couple of strange bits of decision making and Doherty was, again, outstanding. Defensively we protected the back 4 reasonably well and kept our shape and discipline. Teams have clearly identified Iorfa as an attacking threat and are closing him down with 2 or 3 men very quickly, hence his looking a bit ‘leg-tied’ on the ball currently. The problem we have is the transition from defending to attacking on the break, and it is difficult to know why this is given that the same midfield and wide players as last season (bar Sako) are still on the books. Some of our passing was lamentable, even when there was no real pressure on the passer, and you can’t create chances if you can’t control the ball. For me the main concern on Friday was that we were too easily ‘bullied’ off the ball by a physically strong and determined team.
Siggy’s mis-hit (and what a miss hit )has direct reflections on our status as a team at the moment..
Embarrassing, ever so definitely ,but we as a team are very often embarrassing too..very similar..
If the players take it upon (themselves) to get a result as in say the Derby win then our inconsistency to play anywhere near that form is directly down to..yes you’ve guessed it KJ..
It would help if had played Mason who it seems when he comes on .’.Shazam’we score again..
Why didnt KJ play him at the start?Why.?. Why.?. Why?
My observation is that we have a manager who (constantly)shoots us all in the foot..
So.. back to where we were, and that is hanging on,never knowing if we will get beat by bottom of the league sides or we can get a surprise win against the odds..
We need to stabilise and settle.. Williamson should do that at the back but Jesus.. the attacking bit and tactics..if it’s left to KJ then God help us..
I genuinely fear how we are going to tackle Bristol City..
At the end of the day , we re never going to make the play offs so it didn’t really matter . It would have been nice to steal a point just for pride .
One thing I do think tho ‘ is that considering what this season has thrown at wolves … It would have been easy to have been relegated and probably a lot harder to come back this time .
Thank heavens for small mercies. Looking forward to getting some of our best players back and going again
F O WB
FO PULIS
Anyone who thinks our injured players are going to be knights in shining armour…
Your in for a BIG shock
Even with them all fit this is a worse side than what we had when we won league 1.. Dicko will be nowhere near as effective without Sako. We can only hope Graham returns quickly enough and then maybe Him and Dicko should hopefully be enough for us to avoid Relegation..
The amount of backwards steps we have taken since then is almost unrepairable especially with these muppets running (ruining) the club..
just to spoil tje rest of your afternoon.
The shit beat Utd 1-0,
EBL has a broken metatarsal and is out for the season, Hause and Willimson anyone.
You will all be delighted to learn Mr Moxey pocketed £505K this year. If it wasn’t a crime it would be funny. The fat lard arse bathplug.
I see a few are saying mid table mediocrity, well I wouldn’t be so sure with the bottom teams winning we are 11 points off the relegation places we could still be dragged into it with a couple of losses and the bottom teams winning a couple.
Mid table mediocrity, right now ill settle for that all day.
Well said 6 minutes, I agree we are not safe yet and would be foolish to assume we are. If we lose at home to Bristol City in the week we will be looking over our shoulder again. I think we are also naive to assume things will improve if we survive this season and get the injured players back. I expect ikeme, iorfa, possibly Doherty, McDonald, Cody, Henry all to be subject to bids in the summer and as we have proven this season any sort of half decent money offered will likely result in a sale. We simply have to be sold to progress otherwise we will only go backwards under this current regime.
Jordan Graham.. Dicko Zyro Edwards and Mason on the bench and Williamson at the back as captain would be enough to get promoted Nige..
It’s the f*****g manager ..a proactive reactive.. tactition, and team motivator with an eye for bringing in a new youngster would do ok with what we’ve got with the big dosh pending to spend again as an incentive..
But KJ just ain’t up to it..
Agree Steve spot on mate.
Well it didn’t take a genius to predict a comfortable loss. our performance was pretty well below average and if it wasn’t for for flukey wins over Xmas and the New Year we would be paddle-less and up the creek.
Our ball control skills alone were amateurish and well in all honesty I can’t see the point of renewing my ticket.
Now I read that Moxey’s salary was 505K it makes me wonder even more ..should I or shouldn’t I renew. …Come on lads …that is obscene money for downright continuous failure.
I’ve also never questioned Jacketts ability BUT the player skill set just seems laughable at times. (Doherty and MacDonald excluded).
So what’s to look forward to ….FRANKLY NOTHING BUT MORE OF THE SAME….FOR A VERY LONG TIME.
MORGAN PLEASE SLING YOUR HOOK AND DRAG MOXEY AND THELWELL WITH YOU….
I have been saying this for a while now but will say it again as someone on here said we could need 5 years to rebuild etc. Well with the new TV money kicking in next season for the Foreign Money League (aka the Premier League) in 5 years time clubs like little Bournemouth, assuming they stay up, will be richer to the tune of £900,000,000. Yes £900m! Already they have been able to buy our star player and triple his wages so can you imagine what a little club like them could do in 5 years time? The chasm that currently exists between the likes of Man City and Bournemouth is huge. The chasm between Bournemouth and us is now huge. In 5 years time it won’t be a chasm it will be different planets. Unless we get up there next season we never will. Ever. The need for a new owner with money, ambition, flair and both footballing and financial competence – and penny pinching is NOT competent financial management it is archaic – is both paramount and desperately urgent.
The Fans Parliament comments by Moxey let the cat out of the bag. We should apparently be grateful for our present standing. Unless we get a new owner in imminently it is clear to me that:
1. Kenny will be here next season as that’s the cheap option.
2. One by one our better players will be picked off by other clubs.
3. We will bank money from transfers of our better players and spend only part of it.
4. Surplus transfer funds will be used to cover running costs.
5 The unspent part of the Afobe money will be used for running costs.
6. Moxey will get a bonus for season 2015/2016. I believe he gets a percentage of transfer profits.
7. We will struggle.
This is a strategy that can only end in one place …us paying in the Conference League !!!!
Twixfix. Right on. Moxey’s prime strategy is to balance the books. You can probably do that in the Conference too!
RVLP is off, he’s going out on loan to Huddersfield.
Feck off you stupid ungrateful tosser.
Long may you get all you deserve, Naff All
Good riddance, the blokes a loser.
‘WE ARE THE FLOWERS IN THE DUSTBIN……..WE ARE THE FUTURE. YOUR FUTURE’ . The words of the Sex Pistols. Words that can be directed at the hierarchy both in a negative and positive way. Negative in the way this leadership regards us as a fanbase. But positive when a regime of ambition and purpose takes over and uses us as one of the levers towards a successful Wolverhampton Wanderers FC. Mr Moxey Mr Morgan take heed. ‘WE ARE THE POISON IN YOUR MACHINE’…….

Whilst I wont be crying about VLP’s departure it does further weaken what is already arguably our weakest squad for years. Of the 18 on duty on Friday night we have lost Ebanks-Landell to injury. So Rowe presumably will be brought in to make up the numbers. Until Williamson is fit – if he ever will be – and Zyro likewise I am struggling to think of too many more to add to the squad. Enobakhare I guess but that is about it. So on that basis we have 19 fit players. Those 19 include Hunte, Deslandes ansd Enobakhare who between them have started not one game thus far in the league. It also includes Saville and Rowe who only five minutes ago were deemed unworthy and shipped off to the 3rd division. It also includes Sigurdason who was deemed not good enough when we were in the 3rd division ourselves. Then there is Le Fondre who hasn’t even come on as a sub this year and Byrne who is only playing now because Henry is injured. Mason? Bought for £3m – our biggest outlay since the Premier League days – but not considered worthy of a starting place. Oh and Martinez and Helan on loan. So that leaves us with 8 – Ikeme, Iorfa, Batth, Hause, Doherty, Price all via the youth set up plus McDonald and Coady.
Where is the quality? Where is the strength in depth? Where are the players who can hurt opponents? Our first team squad is now comprised of players who 2 years ago would not have been anywhere near the squad let alone the starting eleven. I think I am right in saying that with 2 goals Saville is our top scorer amongst those 19.
If that squad included Sako, Afobe, Stearman and Golbourne then it would look an awful lot better of course.
To me it’s obvious that Van the man needs quality players around him to perform. Together with Zyro, Helan and Mason I strongly believe he can thrive and return to golden days. He’s a type of player which we don’t have too many of. He got loads of pace and dribble past players if required. But he can’t utilize his off the ball capabilities without proper players around him – players with playmaker abilities.
Ill take a few pints of what your Drinking….
Totally agree Bedford..
This squad is miles below where we were in League 1..
Most are League 1 players and that’s their Level they will never be good enough to get us Promoted.. That’s why they all look good when we loan them out to League 1 teams…..Wallace being the latest.. looks good at Millwall in league 1…
Remember we haven’t seen enough of Zyro yet but the last 2 superstars we brought in from abroad were RVLP and Siggy… Let that sink in..
You better ask Kenny all tthose questions, but you better be quick if the info coming out of Wolves this very evening is correct mate.
Either Morgan is sacking the cleaner, Jackett, Thelwell or Moxey. If not then we are going to change hands imminently as Morgan has changed all his diary for this week to “Deal with Wolves matters”
The source said, ” he has to tread carefully for confidentiality reasons, then blasts it all over the net” Twat!
Personally, I think the cleaner has been messing around with Moxey and her ladyship has called in Morgan to sever his Gonads.
Any road get up there and get answers from Jackett, he’s figured in every statement your’e trying to highlight.
Me I’m with the little guy, Feck em all off, I’m sick of stagnating in a cesspit of corruption and mismanagement.
Those were the days my friend.
🙂
It’s the cleaner !!!! She hasn’t changed the bog roll … Two warnings and she’s out !!!!?
We ran out of bog rolls ‘cos Moxey’s full of s**t.
No she hasn’t been using both sides of the bog roll that’s why she was sacked, gospel from Tim but Dim Spiers.
The bog roll conspiracy is true Paul… My mol contact told me that Mrs Moxey …yes she who is not even on the payroll … Ordered the cleaner to change the bog roll because they were half way down the roll…. I f&&@ing ask you !!!!
The club is corrupt…….
Sadly, I don’t see players returning to fitness as the answer because recognising the stagnant pond that we have become they will surely want out too as soon as a window approaches.
To try and alleviate all the gloom we are all feeling right now I have recently contributed to a Wolves ‘My First Wolves Match’ thingy (info@oldgoldglory.co.uk) and writing it brought back so many happy memories for me I thought I’d inflict in on you lot! So here goes;
Saturday 24 August 1963.
Arsenal 1 Wolves 3
At the age of 4 I had decided to be a Wolves fan. My decision owed much to my first ever football annual received Christmas 1960. Having won the FA Cup the previous May and been League Champions the two previous seasons, playing in the European Cup and having numerous players in the England team the book was full of Wolves pictures and stories. I loved the name – 4 year old boys like things like that – and the colours, no boring red and white or blue and white for me. In fact I liked everything about them. King of all was the blond haired titan that was Ron Flowers.
Now as a 4 year old living in North London and born into an Arsenal family – my Dad, my two Granddads, all my uncles, all my cousins etc – being a Wolves fan was something of a novelty. And I liked that too.
So fast forward two and a half years and here I was and aged 6 years and almost 10 months and going to my first ever football match. Not just any match but Arsenal v Wolves. An Arsenal team managed then by none other than the legendary Billy Wright. What a clash of managers – Billy Wright v Stanley Cullis. Wow!
I was ready early – it had been raining so my Mum insisted that I wore my navy blue school mac and cap which I remember not being too happy about and she had made me a Wolves ‘rosette’ which as far as I can recall was fashioned from some gold ribbon and some black bootlaces. Honestly I am sure it was! I can remember standing in our front room (a room we never used except for ‘best’ which I am sure was just about never) and looking out the window waiting for my Uncle Reg Bolton (I had three Uncle Reg’s – Uncle Reg Bolton, Uncle Reg Sims and Uncle Reg Knight so we had to use their surnames to distinguish between them) to arrive in his Humber Sceptre to take me and my Dad to Highbury. By now the rain had been replaced by sunshine and my Dad allowed me to leave the cap in the car. I also decided en-route that my Mum’s home-made rosette just wasn’t going to ‘cut the mustard’ not at a ‘proper’ football match with proper football fans – after all Mums don’t really understand stuff like that do they? – and resolved to accidently leave it in the car when we were about to disembark. I remember stuffing it down the space where the seat met the backrest, sorry Mum!). As we drove the half hour or so to the ground Uncle Reg Bolton took great delight in beating every other car away from any traffic lights we stopped at saying that HIS car was FAR more powerful and fast than anyone else’s (he always was an arrogant, a big-headed so and so). I wasn’t bothered though as I was going to see Wolves. I was going to see Ron Flowers. I was going to football with my Dad.
Although I didn’t know it then of course I was also embarking on a lifelong passion that has consumed me thus far for almost 56 years right through my childhood, my formative years and throughout my marriage, my four children (sadly only one convert to the mighty Wolves – but hey, everyone gets at least one good one!) and now, very nearly, two grandchildren.
Not only was this my first ever football match and my first ever Wolves match but it was also the opening day of the 1963/64 season so the excitement and anticipation was incredible.
We parked very close to the ground as my Dad worked in London with a chap called ‘Mac’, yet another Arsenal fan, who lived in Avenall Road about a 1 minute stroll from the ground and on match days he would place two metal dustbins (back then ALL dustbins were metal of course) outside his house with a plank of wood balanced between them so that when we arrived my Dad jumped out and moved said dustbins and plank to create a lovely parking space for the car. Perfect! As we emerged from Mac’s house after a drink and a biscuit I was blown away by the sheer volume of people – they were everywhere as were the hot dog stalls (my Dad warned me off ever buying anything from such places as he felt they were unlikely to be safe to eat!).
Now being the first day of the new season and with Arsenal fielding their new, expensive ‘foreign’ signing – Scottish international Ian Ure signed from Dundee for £62,500 – the crowd was huge. Around 51,000 I think it was. The queues for the turnstiles were insane, so many people I was in awe. I had never seen anything like it. The biggest ‘crowd’ I had seen up to that point was probably about 200 at my school morning assembly. We managed to get in a few minutes before kick-off and made our way through the vast hordes of noisy, happy, singing people across the old North Bank and found a position somewhere near the front in one corner. There was a marching band on the pitch (Metropolitan Police band) and someone who I later found out was Police Constable Alex Morgan belting out a song in his tenor voice (he carried on doing that for years by which time he had become Police Sergeant Alex Morgan). I had to sit on my Dad’s shoulders to see anything and as the teams ran out onto the pitch a gold balloon and a black balloon tied together with cotton floated past me. I knew then that were other Wolves fans there that day, not just me. Maybe I’d see some of them – I hoped so and hoped that they would realise that I was one of them!
In truth I don’t remember much about the game itself and in fact I asked my Dad when they were going to start which was about 5 minutes into the game – I thought they were still warming up! I do remember half-time though as my Uncle had brought a Thermos flask which had milky coffee in it (only posh or in his case rich people had coffee in them days!) and the marching band were back on the pitch and used to do this manoeuvre where when they got to one end of the pitch in front of the goal the man in front who carried a mace thing would hurl it up into the air, turn around and then catch it which was apparently the signal for the rest of the band to also do an about face and start marching back towards the other end of the pitch. I liked that.
I also remember the smell, that unique football smell which back then was a mixture of newly mown grass, dubbin, a mass of almost exclusively men crammed together, cigarette smoke and alcohol fumes. Do I remember any of the goals? No. But I do know that we won 3-1 as my Dad told me so – probably through gritted teeth I guess as he was a lifelong and die-hard Gooner.
After the game he bought me a proper Wolves rosette which I am proud to say I still have to this day. I recall my Uncle saying something like “oh he’s a Wolves fan now is he, now that they’ve won!”. Didn’t he know anything? I had ALWAYS been a Wolves fan! Always had been and always would be but then again he was always the least favourite of all my Uncle Reg’s!
The journey home was, for me, filled with reading the programme from cover to cover. Of course I still have that too. Back home we had egg and chips, a rare treat, and I was as happy as any 6 year old little boy could possibly ever be. I had seen Wolves play, I had seen Ron Flowers play, we had won – and I had begun a lifetime’s journey of mostly agonising pain and disappointment mingled with the occasional but all too rare moment of pure, unadulterated ecstasy.
Wolves team that day: Fred Davies in goal. George Showell and Bobby Thomson full backs, John Kirkham, Dave Woodfield and Ron Flowers half backs and then Terry Wharton, Chris Crowe, Ted Farmer, Jimmy Murray (a late replacement for Peter Broadbent) and Alan Hinton as the forwards.
Arsenal’s team: McClelland in goal, Magill and McCullough full backs, Barnwell (yes, that John Barnwell), Ure and Brown half backs and Skirton, Strong, Baker, Eastham (my Dad’s favourite player) and Armstrong as the forwards.
Recent internet research tells me that Alan Hinton put us 1-0 up after 14 minutes following a corner only for Geoff Strong (later of Liverpool) to equalise after 17 minutes. Jimmy Murray restored our lead again following a corner after 36 minutes and then Chris Crowe sealed the win in the second half. Match reports say we were too ‘wiry and whippy’ for Arsenal, which I take to mean we were too pacey for them, and could have won by a lot more than 3-1.
Was it really getting on for 53 years ago? Impossible but true.
Five Hundred and Five Thousand Quid?
Five Hundred and Five Thousand Fuckin’ Quid?
How obscene is that?
For permanent mediocrity.
Jack Charlton had a little black book, in which he allegedly kept the names of seven people he was going to “do” before he retired.
I have just bought a little black book.
I only have one name in it, and it begins with m
It’s in there five hundred and five thousand fuckin’ times.
I was all excited on Friday.
Office birthday party for her indoor’s 60th.
Off to Richmond Arms pub to meet a few fellow Wolves fans and watch the lads for only the second time this season.
Fuck me, they don’t carry the channel it was on.
Basstids.
So went home after one pint of Boddys.
watched the result unfolding as I went home on my app.
Said a silent prayer to dog, thankful the pub didn’t have the right channel.
Terry clipbored is the worst manager in Wolves history, that is fact.
Jackett is fast catching him, and in my opinion has now taken first place, as he has had more games this season to get it right, against lesser opposition than TC had.
Jackett, you are now officially a disgrace, and that shower of shit who call themselves The Wolves team are not far behind you in disgraceness.
If the rumors are true, and rudolph is finally getting out, then he should take the fuckin’ lot of you with him.
Eleven dustbins would put up more of a fight.
Fuckin’ useless and clueless, the lot of you.
FO all of you and wb
Losing Sako and Dicko at season start was going to light the touch paper to any promotion aspirations … however, the way the club went about rectifying it was akin to clown firemen dousing a house blaze with petrol.
Replace Sako – a creative goal scoring tank of a man – with a fumbling featherweight freshman (on loan even)
Sell off your most expreienced defender (only to run around frantically trying to find an experienced defender 6 weeks later)
Throw your toys out the cot and put the club up for sale on a whim
Midway thru the season when its clear the house cannot be saved, sell off the best assett in Afobe but keep the asking price the same.
The season comes to a close, and whilst there are still a few decent youngsters at the club – and admittedly a couple of exciting players returning from injury – the exact same clown firemen are still in charge standing around waiting to have at it all again next year.
If we dont get rid of all three Morgan, Moxey and Kenny, we should expect nothing less than a another house fire next year.
Love it admant, “pouring petrol on the flames” how bloody well true is that. Nero fiddling and Rome spring to mind (see what happened there, Moxey fiddling and Morgan Roaming from woman to woman)
When you look at the FIFA scandal with Sepp Fatter it’s easy to understand how these greaseballs get away with it, now we’ve got the Italian at the helm at FIFA what chance have we got, if you don’t tow the line, “tonight you will sleep with fishes”
Money. The route to all things evil.
Moxey, Morgan and Kenny, the three tenners. All singing the same shitty tune. Sack em all.
I see Albion have just about sealed their sixth consecutive season in the prem with a win against Man U ( didn’t we once sell DVDs of the day wolves beat the mighty Man U just another embarrassing fuck up from the corporate marketing dept ) and are now light years ahead of us , possibly never again will we be able to compete with their like again !! When the ever failing Ceo finally leaves he should be presented with a plaque with something poignant like ” we didn’t do an Albion “. He can then take it with him and hang it on the wall or put it on the desk of his new office ! On a lighter note , I did enjoy siggys fluffed shot ?kinda summed up our season to date. Utw
i remember when we played man u last in our last season in the prem – at the mol – and we got tonked 5-0 … i remember the south bank chanting “how shit are you you only scored 5” … incredibly our squad only got worse from that day …
oh and thats when I also heard the “fuck the football build a stand” chant for the first time …
it truly is diabolical the way this club is run – and the fat fuck at the helm gets a salary of more than half a million quid … have i forgot to take my meds or something
Watching Siggy running around like a headless chicken on Friday was both embarrassing and amazing to me. Embarrassing because his one shot ‘on goal’ ended up going for a throw-in and amazing because I could not understand why Kj did not replace him at the start of the second half. Mason actually looks like a half decent footballer. If KJ does not start him on Sunday v B’ham then I will be dumbfounded.
As for the game we only put some effort into the last 15 mins but I suspect that’s because half the ‘Boro team were having a rest period. A poor showing all round.
Were shit and we know we are………….
From one ‘Stubborn Old Sod’ to another.
Cheers Mike!
Cheers !
🙂
This is from one of the guys who are tapped in to Molineux on about the finances.
The Wolves accounts May 2015 were only filed at Companies House last week, actually a couple of days late, therefore incurring a fine. Oops. In fact they were approved by the board last November, so the delay in filing is very strange.
The director’s statement in the accounts says that, at a minimum, the club expects to be in the playoffs this season. MINIMUM of playoffs? In that case, heads should roll. Apart from CEO Moxey, the other directors are not involved in footballing decisions. Therefore it should be, bye bye Moxey. Interesting.
Something strange in the neighbourhood
Who they gonna sack
Jez Moxey
We live in feckin hope
🙂
They have let the lunatics out of the asylum, and they are all running wolves. If we aspired to getting into the playoffs, where was the necessary investment to get the players in to do what was expected.
Ah – our owner though sells our star striker, our biggest asset, after earlier selling our best defender, and gets in free transfers and low cost signings, someone at the club sanctions buying a striker for £3m who can`t get a game. What the fuck is going on? They really thought the playoffs were a realistic target with our squad, how arrogant, stupid and out of touch are the parasites ruining, not running our great club.
In any other business those responsible for poor performance would be fired, starting at the top ie the so called CEO. He may be only dancing to Morgan`s tune but the pair of them need to get out of wolves and go screw up some other business somewhere else. asap.
Paul Allen American businessman

You make of it what you want but the website is hotting up with the story.
Ever the optimist
Please God let it be soon, sack the lot.
🙂
I’ll take anyone at the moment, Paul Allen, Lily Allen, Flanagan & Allen ,…………………..
Remember back in 1967 when Wolves had that amazing summer success in the States and there was some American tycoon who reportedly wanted to buy Wolves for $100,000 ? At the time the idea of a Yank buying an English club was laughable and caused hoots of derision. As if an American could ever buy Wolves! Preposterous! Lol
“Works for Microsoft”…… should read “Co-founder of Microsoft” !
🙂
Now this would be good if it came to pass……
If its true them Morgan can a least say he’s left us in good hands after everything he put us through he owes us that.
Dare I dream…..
Lot of exciting speculation,
But this is fact-
Moxey and Skirrow have been locked in Executive Boardroom all afternoon.
Something is happening!
Something strange intne neighbourhood.
Who we gonna call.
Fat busters
Stuey mate … Media mogul extraordinaire…. You give me good vibrations mate…. I’m going to dance naked around the Billy Wright Statue when the fat bastard gets the chop….!!
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!
Good Vibrations,
Spooky, When I was a kid it was my favourite all time song until Bridge over troubled water arrived. Both suitable for our present predicament.
I hope for all of us some of it’s factual.
My nose is twitching too..about time there was a ‘close one’as in a buyer who is nearly there..
This bloke is a ‘close one’ then ….Morgan is discussing the ‘finer’ financial points lol
The fat lady’s got to sing though…
#hope again
I’ve just googled messers Paul Allen.
Very rich man $17 billionaire, wouldn’t it be great, if true I hope he falls in love with us and makes us great again.UTW.
Let’s hope we can beat Bristol tomorrow night.
He was the American my mate at Mol told me about before Christmas,
He’s from Microsort……….

Spake proper, ah kid
Please don’t give me a load of grief BUT the fact that the MM’s have kept us viable/in profit may be a MASSIVE selling point. I AM NOT DEFENDING MOXEY OR MORGAN just looking at the facts. I realise people are very passionate and appreciate it.
I have to agree C of D. Half the clubs in the league are up for sale but we’re the ones who keep getting the tugs on our line. I suppose I have to admit I am defending Moxey and Morgan albeit through tightly gritted teeth.
Cheeser.
You are spot on buddy, it’s in M&M’s interest to leave us in this state, in the Black for sure, a cheap buy for any Serious investor for sure, investment in the Kids and Academy makes us attractive for sure. But all done with profit in mind for Certain.
Only a travesty of epic proportions have stopped us being higher in the league and more attractive as a side, that was all the injuries, we have to accept this season has been an exceptional one for bad injuries.
But, it was for profit of that there is no doubt. He’s a businessman and he has his Lackie.
🙂
Nice one Stu. Let’s hope we do find a genuine buyer with ambition to RESTORE us to where we belong. I always found it interesting when in prem when e and s preview of say chelsea away showed an equal set of results in top league. Eg chelsea/man u/ liverpool etc won 33 wolves won 33 etc. That’s where we belong !
Have you seen his rash, it would go Viral on the blog.
I think we should record Twix’s desire to run around Billy Wright starkers as contractual to the blog…..
Oh dear…..do we have too?
Never heard of him….
I’m thousands of miles away at the minute, but I can sense the excitement in you guys from here.
Personally, I’m believing, expecting or hoping for nothing at all until the ink has dried on the paper.
(It does sound promising though, don’t it).
There is a brewery in Houston called Karbasch, and they make an extremely strong Double IPA beer. i’ve had three this evening and I should have stopped at one.
The rumor going round is that Twixxo is well endowed, and all bloggers of the female persuasion should check him out when he does his Statue Streak.
Personally, I think it will be a flash in the pan.
FO wb
Let’s be clear on this one … You overheard someone from the Mortgage company that I’ve got a large Endowment…. They’re not related mate to what’s on your mind..!!
As with everything in life it’s Clive’s flash in the pan, (all over to quickly)
I heard that Twixdix went to a female Mortgage arranger and because of the rumour of him being well endowed he was asked to make a hasty deposit, when she found out he spent too quickly he had to make a rapid withdrawl leaving her a little short. This of course left her balance rather dodgy and his peak performance indicator is affected for the future.
