I’d rather this match report not serve as an essay on VAR, but it’s impossible to dissect this game without commenting on its main talking point.
Bias or no bias, the official’s decision to rule out Dendoncker’s opener was farcical.

Granted, the ball touched Boly’s hand but even the most partially sighted spectator could see that it was not intentional.
Unsurprisingly, I’ve already voiced that opinion on social media. In response, one or two people have suggested that it’s a rule change that thwarted our chances of winning rather than VAR itself.
Whatever the cause, the outcome was us being denied an excellent opening day victory.
Whether it’d have been merited or not is a topic for discussion.
This was largely an even affair, with Leicester dominating possession but Nuno’s boys creating more clear-cut chances.
If Jota and Raul had brought their shooting boots, we could have won by a canter in the second half.
But equally, Leicester pushed hard for a winner towards the end of the game and we had to defend valiantly to secure the result.
Willy Boly was especially brilliant, and it was pleasing to see us keep a clean sheet away from home given that we only managed it on a few occasions last term.
Given the distance travelled in midweek, a point is an excellent outcome against one of the sides most fancied to gatecrash the top six.
It would have been easy for the players to fold after the VAR controversy, but they remained resolute and ensured that we brought home a point we’d have all been happy with at the start of the day.
Still, it’d have been sweet to celebrate all three.

Right or wrong, it felt horrible to celebrate and then have what looked a perfectly straightforward goal chalked off for something barely noticeable. Boly’s ‘hand of god’ goal against Man City last season would have been an easier one to digest, but this hurt because even on a replay it’s difficult to form a definitive opinion.
Put it this way – it would have been less controversial to give the goal than rule it out.
The game swung immediately back in their favour, which is unsurprising when you consider the psychological fallout of that moment. From that point I think Wolves did well to emerge with a point.
It was obvious Jota and Jimenez would cause their center halves grief and they created more than enough openings to win the game.
If we defend as well as this for the other 37 games and create as many chances at the other end, we’ll have a great season.
Happy to be on the board and that Man Utd game should be a great contest.
VAR made the correct decision based on the new FIFA Laws which states if “the ball goes into the goal after touching an attacking player’s hand/arm”, then a free kick will be awarded to the defending team, even if it was accidental.
Personally, I am not in favor of VAR; I am fine with the goal technology only but like to keep the game controlled by referees, I like the humanistic part of the game. I have been refereeing youth games for almost 30 years and always thought bad referees, bad calls, unlucky plays, etc. are all part of the game. How far are we to use technologies to officiate the games. Players make mistakes and so do referees and that’s what so great about this game.
Disappointed but am glad we left Leicester City with a draw. Hope we can do better next week at home.
Wolves did great and look good for this season. 4 new signings, young lads who will be desperate to show their talents All good go wolves!
Thanks for your quick comments. Didn’t go to the game, seems Leicester had most of the play.
But chuffed to get a point. VAR I’m not an advocate at all. Just don’t think it’s in the spirit of the game.
I’m sure most pundits, maybe most fans are pro VAR. But to me not knowing when you can celebrate a goal is farcical! The deflation of fans and players take a great chunk of the joy of the game away!
But up the Wolves we’re off! Just seen your survey. Can’t answer any of the questions as I think it should have been given. But VAR!
Thought we were the better side overall. Not gonna waste my breath over VAR. Just prey that decisions are consistent going forward. I will predict a finish above Leicester. And judging by the Chelsea performance above them too. There are only two maybe three stand out teams Liverpool Citeh Spurs. We can be up there . Like to have seen VAR had the same thing happened in front of the Kop with Mo Salah and Virgil. ……. having said all that would have taken a point before so quite happy. Oh and fuck off Andre Marriner. Shit display
…
That was a very, very, VARy harsh decision, but it seems like the new rules say that any handball leading to a goal will mean the goal will be chalked off.
Although someone has apparently quoted from the rule book that the ball has to be ‘brought under control with the hand’.
That certainly didn’t happen. Willy hadn’t got a clue about controlling the thing. However, when all is said and done, if Jota and Jimenez had had their shooting boots on, we wouldn’t have been bothered about the decision.
VAR is definitely a celebration buster though. Every goal scored now will not be a goal until some faceless people looking at TV screens give it the nod.
It’s not going to prove popular with fans, it ruins the immediacy of celebrating a goal, which is THE reason that most of us go to watch football matches.
In the long run, it might well lead to a reduction in attendances if the joy of scoring is watered down to having to wait to see if we’ve got lucky – or unlucky as we were today – with the decision of a panel of judges.
It seems to me that the ruling on handball in the penalty area IS NOT CLEAR.
There are plenty of people, not just Wolves fans, who are debating this decision.
But, in the long run, as long as the same rules apply to everyone, we have to abide by them.
But what would have happened if the same event had happened at Old Trafford in front of The Stretford End?
Perhaps we’ll find out in the weeks to come.
Doog, it wasn’t just the var decision that was complete crap, it was Mariner,s overall performance. A West Midland ref’ should not be in Charge of a Wolves match, he probably shops at Tesco’s. He has always been anti Wolves, complete tosser and he cost me two points in the P L.
That said the boys did great, not many teams could have stood that half hour barrage in the second half. Rant over, roll on Thursday great times ahead me thinks.
“It’s not going to prove popular with fans, it ruins the immediacy of celebrating a goal, which is THE reason that most of us go to watch football matches.”
– I must stress it isn’t forbidden to celebrate after someone “scored” a goal. And I’m sure many people celebrated the disallowed goal also – I know I did. What an emotional rollercoaster :=))).
There are two separate issues here; 1, VAR and 2 the law changes which came into effect over the summer.
To my mind, I don’t really care how long VAR takes so long as the ultimate decision is correct. It might spoil the flow of the game but so do injuries and feigning injury which happen much more often. On average VAR is called on less than twice per game so far apart from the check after every goal.
As for the rule changes, they are ridiculous in relation to hand ball as there are now in effect two hand ball rules. One rule if a goal is ‘scored’ and another rule for all other occasions. If a goal is scored and the ball hits the hand or arm in the lead up then the goal is automatically disallowed as per Boly today. However, to have a foul given for handball the offender must be making their body unnaturally bigger. Deleberate or not deliberate doesn’t come into it any more which I think is completely wrong. Penalties are going to be given for ridiculous situations and there is now the incentive for players to deliberately try and get handballs in the box.
On to the game, we were well worth the point to my mind and big Wily was immense.
Man U were crap before they got their second goal today and they will be there for the taking next week as Nuno will ensure they don’t get so many opportunities to break as naive Chelsea gave them.
For me, VAR was brought in to put right glaring omissions or rank bad decisions by refs, not to nit pick every goal.
Yes, it pissed me off, having it ruled out, but the biggest bad decision of the day was putting that ponderous oaf in charge of the game.
He was Mr. Consistent.
ALWAYS giving the fouls, pushes, nudges etc to Leicester, and not once to our boys.
How many times does Jimmy Nez have to be smacked on the back of the head when contesting a high ball before he draws a foul?
It has been a long time since I have seen a more “homer” ref.
Dog help us if we get him at Anfield or OT.
That said, they had oodles of possession, but did fuck all with it.
We were guilty of bad finishing, and should have sewn the game up with or without a disallowed effort.
But, nice to see a good team performance, with everyone pulling together, even with Diogo, Ruben and Jimmy having, for them, a slightly off day.
Would have liked to see Vinagre come on for a few mins to give their full back the run around, but, Big Willy was immense, and a fully justified point.
Better than last year, when we ran them ragged and lost.
We started last season with a draw at home, so a draw away to start this campaign is even better.
Six games unbeaten now, and still only let one in.
Yow cor get mutch berra than that, con ya??
Wonderful to see so many turn up at 8am at Nick’s Place in Houston to watch the game.
FOwb
Well that was a bummer…. VAR that is.
The rules and judgement as to when var becomes the rule is treading a very thin line… and remember also that the var assistant’s interpretation is judgemental too.
The worst bit was going back to the centre circle, awaiting a restart and then having it chalked off.
I truly believed that var was only there to correct an obvious mistake by the referee… doesn’t seem that way.
I felt that we had a really good game today and although lacking the majority of possession created by far and away the better chances…. I can only recall Barnes’ curling shot that Patricio had to deal with.
Boly was a colossus, Jota a real menace and I thought Neves made some telling passes too.
Jonny was a real workhorse and Moutinho was his tireless self in midfield.
Ok a point at Leicester is fair but Andre Mariner… how hard you tried to give the Foxes an advantage with your inconsistency…. knob!!!
See you on Thursday Clivey boy….. welcome back (again) to the Golden Palace for a few days of Molineux fun.
Are you meeting up with John Richards btw?
Does Clive know John Richards?
I think he’s had his babies Stu….
At the end of the day, despite the injustice of the VAR incident, we came away with a well deserved point earned from a well organized and disciplined team. It augurs well for the future
What pleased me most, was that on a day when we were not at our most fluent going forward, the quality of our defensive unit was superb . Boly, Bennett, and Cody understand and complement each other so well as to appear impenetrable. I can only conclude that if McGuire is worth 80 million, then Boly must have a value well north of 100 mill !! The man is immense.
So now that this VAR precedent has been set by this incident, will it consistently be applied for the rest of the season? Or will there be a review and another set of softer rules applied, in which case we’d have been double screwed-over by a completely fallible system. Who are the faceless interpreters of this at VAR HQ who may soften their approach after seeing the absolute game-killing potential of this kind of scenario? It will no doubt NOT be a level playing field with this ‘technology’
We should have won. End of. In spite of being profligate. Football lost.
To put this down in words would be impossible, but I am so proud of my team today, they were terrific and ran h
Like trojans till the very end.
I do believe Nuno was trying to make a point that his team were not tired, by only using 2 subs, when quite clearly, poor old Doherty was dead on his legs with 30 mins to go.
We have shown we can fly a 6000 mile round trip and still perform. But to have the legs kicked from under you by that excuse for a referee, must have sapped the strength from every fibre of those gutsy guys bodies.
Mariner, he was a disgrace, the fans all around us on the terraces deserved better than a blue nosed supporting referee.
To see Mrs Twix, Mr Twix, Mr Lowves, Mrs Lowves, Jen de Wolf and myself with a combined age of 420 years all standing in a row screaming at the injustice served up on our players, must have scared some of the younger fans around us. I have never witnessed such hatred for a man in black for many a year.
VAR, love it or hate it, it’s here, it’s not going away, like Nuno I accept the decision but hope when we’re at OT or the Etihad they go the same way for all.
Somehow, I doubt it.
I have to agree with the general consensus that Mr Andrew Marriner was like the Wolves fans…
The twelfth man. ..
…But for the opposition.
I’ve seen him referee our matches many times and he’s never given us a fair suck of the sauce bottle.
I think he must have been frightened by a rampant Bull when he was a baby.
I AM SPEECHLESS AFTER THAT HANDBALL DECISION…
A point away from home. I will take that.
See you on Thursday guys.
I’m not sure what to make of this whole VAR thing. On the one hand, scenario’s like today’s definitely take away from the instant ecstasy you feel when your team scores, and not only when it’s later disallowed. Just thinking it might be will blunt that feeling.
On the other hand, poor refereeing can result in relegations with the resulting financial losses and job losses. VAR may consign these errors to the dustbin.
So on VAR, at the moment, by backside is perched firmly on the fence until I see how things pan out.
However, the big problem for me is the new handball rule itself. If a marginal, debatable and absolutely accidental handball like Willy’s results in a goal being chalked off, then the law is indeed an ass and must be reviewed.
Otherwise, to glean a point against a strong outfit like Leicester, away from home, when not at your best and with an absolute dingbat as a referee was a magnificent effort. Big Willy was immense. The immovable object against which the growing tide of Leicester attacks reached, but never breached. A terrific performance.
Finally, a word on Patrick Cutrone. Only on for a few minutes but had some neat touches and showed, I feel, that when he settles in, he’ll be a valuable addition to our arsenal.
Manure next week hold no fears for me.
COYW
Soon after our VAR reversal, Leicester had a clear handball on the break leading to a corner. Had they scored from the corner that should not have been, would it be chalked off for a handball in the lead up”?
Not with Marina in charge !!!
Such a good question Ash.
No it wouldn’t because once the corner kick is taken, a separate ‘passage of play’ would have started. Therefore, Perez’ handball would not be infringed by VAR because it did not happen in the passage of play that led up to the goal.
Happy with a point.
That was a harsh one otherwise.
VAR for me should be for refs that are unsure about a major incident Not overturning goals on appeal, that’s gonna lead to everyone making the TV sign to the ref after every type of situation.
Live streamed the match, Wolves especially Bolly were excellent, Diogo and Raul trying too hard up front and snatched at chances.
Referee was biased against the Wolves, Leicester took full advantage with some tasty challenges on Diogo.
BBC highlights and comments concentrated on the VAR decision and was rubbish.
BBC implied that Nuno and Wolves players were contesting the VAR decision DURING the game when the actual video was from the end of the match and Wolves were asking the referee about some of the blatant wrong decisions he made.
Referee rating of zero hope we never get him again.
Mariner must be one of Frank Worthington’s ‘love children’…but without the quality. Total joke of a referee who probably instigated the VAR check off his own bat, because none of the Leicester players complained.
I’m surprised that nobody has picked up on the fact that, ironically, it was Boly’s goal v Man City which led to the regulation change that caused the goal to be disallowed by VAR.
All sorts of mixed feelings.
On the one hand, I’m happy with the point. Such a tough opening fixture, we didn’t play well and we looked absolutely knackered from Armenia. We would have lost that type of fixture last season.
But it could and should have been so much better. I was open minded about VAR, I thought that in this day and age we should be making use of technology. I’m dead against it after yesterday; what’s the point of celebrating? The ref, the linos, the Leicester players, the stadium, never thought there was a problem with the goal.
What’s more infuriating is the rule change. When the ball is pinging around the box from a set piece, and slightly brushes someone’s arm; how is that altering the natural flow of the game? The ball is going to be hitting all different types of body parts when it’s coming quickly in from a corner. I admit that Boly’s goal v City last season was an ‘unnatural’ occurrence, but yesterday was the polar opposite.
And a final word for Marriner. What an inept performance. He was more than happy to give everything Leicester’s way throughout the 90 minutes. All we ask for is consistency, but everything he blew us up for, Leicester got away with.
Of the two teams, Leicester will definitely be the more disappointed after yesterday’s result. The pundits tend to favour them more for the most likely team to break into the top six. Leicester must have been anticipating a win, given the huge journey we had in the week.
Ironically, if VAR hadn’t been introduced this season, yesterday’s goal would have stood, and it was also given without protest. We can’t blame the referee, he gave it. My view on the goal is that it contravened the new rules unfortunately.
A moral victory for Wolves.
Will happily take the point but annoyed as should have been all 3! This new hand ball rule will cause a lot of issues I feel.
Personally I feel that VAR will ruin the game, I can see point of checking if ref is unsure but are they going to VAR check every single goal that goes in? As Nuno said fans want to cheer a goal, we don’t want to wait to find if it stands.
My opinion of the ref here is unprintable as younger eyes may view it!
But it’s the past so now onto Thursday with no VAR so we can all jump up & cheer like hell when we score! Which I will!
The law is clear. Any goal created with the use of even an accidental hand or arm should be disallowed. Many clearly don’t like the new law but it has the advantage of removing from the argument interpretation over what is accidental.
Many don’t like, for a variety of reasons, the use of VAR, but it has the advantage of preventing “big teams,” as is accepted to be the case, winning too many deucisions that should have gone against them. VAR is with us and the clock cannot be turned back as The Luddites found when looms were invented. And generally is it not better that nearly all decisions are correct as was the case over the weekend.
We must move on just as Wolves will move upwards.
Totally agree with your comments HP.
You say this should sort out the advantages which have without doubt been given to the elite sides in the past BUT there is as yet only stirlings offside to back that up so lets hope it continues in that manner … it had better do.
Liverpools goal against us in the last game of last season should have been offside and these decisions do alter the tide of games.
Next change should be the time keeping needs to be taken out of the refs hands so as he can just get on with game without giving anyone an advantage of a few extra minutes.
Back to our game and the var decision was correct to the way the laws have been changed its blatantly obvious it wasn’t an intentional handball but a goal was scored after it hit bolys arm and ok thats the rules and must be applied to everyone .
Argument over on that one……..for the time being …… but so sure as someone gets away with a similar one watch the back pages set on fire.
Wolves had the clear cut chances to win this game without the controversy and on another day we will do just that lets hope its next monday.
Well said Spikey. I think there is a lot of merit on your suggestion regarding time keeping. How would it work for perceived time wasting. Would the referee pass on the amount of time to be added or would that be a judgement made off field?
nope the whole thing should be taken away from the ref and the added amounts of time should be made by independant bodies as is var.
am i not correct in stating this happens in rugby league ?
I think it is ironic that Boly’s goal against City last year probably was instrumental in the rule change for this year.
I think it is silly that ricocheted balls hitting an arm are sometimes OK and sometimes not.
And doesn’t your arm have to be away from your body in order for it to be an issue? Now, even if your arms are hanging beside your body in a natural position, it’s a hand ball?
See my post above, Tim, for the lowdown.
I am still not clear on the issue of handball, obviously unintentional and unavoidable, by a defender in the box.
Surely, if an attacker gets penalized by NOT having a goal allowed, the same logic MUST be applied and a penalty given.
And what about an accidental handball in the box by a defender, who’s team then goes up the other end and scores?
How far back does it apply?
Oh. I forgot.
Logic doesn’t apply where the FA is concerned.
If similar incidents throughout the season are treated differently, can we appeal for the goal to stand, similar to appealing red or yellow cards after games?
And if not, why not?
Now we have the added problem of not being able to hurl abuse at some faceless wanker who makes these decisions.
And now what happens if Mariner gets to be VAR boss at one of our games, after the stick he’s received from Wolves fans this weekend?
Gonna make him even more biased against us.
Bring back the days of a ref and two linesmen, the unholy trinity who used to get 100% of our undiluted vitriol!
Think the MOD match commentator got it right when he said , after the goal was VAR’d , it’s football James but not as we know it!
I’ve watched football for 50 years & happily enjoyed it without VAR.Presumably the clubs voted for it as Phil Neville said on MOD.
Glad it’s not in for the Europa. Hopefully if it’s here to stay they learn to use it less. It should only be a backup. Hope it’s introduction isn’t going to impact too much on my enjoyment of the season.
Thought Coady was very blunt about it, fair play to him. But I guess like all things we don’t like we’ll have to calm down & just accept it!
Just been in to pick up some tickets for the Pyunik game on Thursday, there was a queue right to the door at 11-30. We have now been allocated the whole of Molineux, they have opened up the Upper quadrant for home fans too. So I am assuming the Armenians have no-one coming over for the match.
Looks like there will be some banter on Thursday now.
North Bank
South bank
And the odd Steve Bull.
How far we’ve come boys and girls.
I will have you know I got my ticket for the Billy Quiet, so there will be at least one voice, albeit with a slight American twang, competing against the other three stands!!
Silly place to put you. Can’t see you keeping your mouth shut for 2 hours. Unless the Armenian secret police tape your gob up and threaten the Gulag. Which is probably quite nice. Compared to West Bromwich. Wolves ay we !
What are people’s opinion on Cutrone’s debut?
He has the same pedigree as Diogo and Raul, at least, so shouldn’t be viewed as a backup.
It seemed that the type of play did not suit him very well but that he tried to chase down opponents with the ball and block passing channels.
He will probably be better suited to when we control the play in the oppositions end and can put balls into the box. I assume that is the case from when he was playing at AC Milan.
He’ll very much be back up in the big games, Tim, until such time as Nuno trusts him. Just look at how long it took Dendoncker to get a look in. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him start on Thursday though given we’re four up. Probably a few other changes too.
As I put in my comment earlier Tim, he looked, to me, physically strong with neat and tidy control and I’m told he has a good engine, an eye for goal and will work hard for the team. Just what the doctor ordered, in fact.
Thought we could have nicked this and we almost did. Not the best of games but we stood firm. If Jota and Jim had their shooting boots on we could have won fairly comfortably.
Still a point is a decent return.
Onwards & Upwards
🙂
For me the problem is not VAR but the new handball law. Had it been a Leicester defender and not Boly that the ball hit yesterday do you think we would have been given a penalty ? I’d put my (quite hefty) mortgage on it that we wouldn’t.
And therein lies the issue – its one handball rule all over the pitch except when a goal is scored. Then it changes from ‘intentional hand ball’ to ‘any form of hand ball’. The lack of logic is astounding. I don’t know who proposed this change but it is doing football no favours.
Otherwise I thought we were good for at least a point – had Diogo not been knackered we might have got all 3. Jota,Boly and Bennett outstanding but no-one was poor, though Jonny and the Donck have both had better games and will do so again.
Just watched a re-run of Newcastle v Arsenal and The Toon had 2 blokes up front who look like Adama Traore. Imagine my surprise this afternoon when next door neighbours cat appeared in my garden with a Adama Traore hair do. Fair play to it. This could start a worldwide trend. Look forward to seeing Autumn watch featuring a Deer with massive antlers , a badger and some sort of migrating sea gull embarking on on a 10000 mile flight to Mogadishu . All with the Adama Traore.
VAR… a new rule, just have to get used to it.. Wolves are looking good.
I see we’ve got Jon Moss as referee for the Man U game.
He was the man in charge of VAR against Leicester.
Don’t tell The South Bank!
Can’t blame him for that Doog he just applied the stupid rules set by the F.A.
It’s the muppet in the middle that everyone was mainly pee’d off with ….a total disgrace not fit to ref pub teams.
Yep, I understand that he was only applying the rules, and that Andrew Marriner is a complete doughnut, but if The South Bank or The Steve Bull for that matter, get wind of it, he’s in for a hard time.
And I will be screaming at him from where ever I am!
If memory serves, we had Moss for the last home game last season and he was shit then, and can only have got worser.
Jon Moss, now there’s a blast from the past. The drummer in Culture Club, one of my favourite bands, wondered where he was now – do you really want to hurt me ? Classic.
I see Mourino has put himself in the shop window again, touting for several premier league jobs..including Wolves!!!
Mrs Lowves says a very loud rendition of “Nunos the Special One” should put him off.
Cheeky self centred knob!!
VAR should be in the hands of the referee as in Rugby and Cricket. A sensible ref would use common sense and only a blatant handball would overturn the decision.
Clive from hastings.
Clive doesn’t agree with the disallowed goal and here’s his reason.
Clive from hastings.
Clive doesn’t agree with the disallowed goal and here’s his reason.
So maybe it should be illegal if a ball goes in the net after striking some player’s butt leading up to the goal.
It’s called football, not butt ball. (actually, it’s called soccer)
Let’s start a petition to change the laws of the game to make butt balls illegal.
#MAKEBUTTBALLSILLEGAL
Or even Ballsballs!!!
Wrong, Tim. Soccer is just a bastardisation of Association Football.
God and the devil were having an argument, and Satan proposed a football game between heaven and hell to resolve the dispute. God, in his eternal goodness, pointed out that it wouldn’t be a fair match because all the ‘good’ players go to heaven. The devil smiled, replying, “Yes, but we’ve got all the crap refs.”
Old one I know but topical this week!
It is well known André Marriner is an Aston Villa fan. According to the official guidelines he must not referee Aston Villa games or games involving their ‘major rivals’ So why was he at Leicester on Sunday ?
Because Villa are just a very minor rival perhaps!
Meanwhile at The Poorthorns our old friend Jon Dadi Bodvarrson scores the winner for Millwall in the Caraboa Cup. Good work son. Ain’t nobody. Like Jon Dadi. Boom boom!
Well BBC did say Bod earlier but have now changed it to O’Brien. I suspect Bod wasn’t too far away from the action. He was definitely in the line up?
Fantastic, I will always remember the clap at least we now have a big willy.
For future reference here is a list of referees and the teams they have declared they support (From BBC sport website). The clown for Man Utd is Jon Moss (who was the VAR bloke at Leicester). He supports Sunderland. Are we safe ?
Martin Atkinson – Leeds Utd
Stuart Attwell, Luton
Mark Clattenburg, Newcastle
Mike Dean, Tranmere
Roger East, Unknown
Kevin Friend,Leicester
Simon Hooper, Swindon
Mike Jones, Chester
Robert Madley, Huddersfield
Andre Marriner,Aston Villa
Lee Mason, Bolton
Jon Moss, Sunderland
Michael Oliver Newcastle
Craig Pawson, Sheffield United
Graham Scott, Swindon
Keith Stroud, Luton
Neil Swarbrick, Preston
Anthony Taylor, Altrincham
Paul Tierney, Wigan
The PGMOL says it makes appointments on a “case by case basis”.
?
I think we can safely say jon moss will be neutral on monday but as for mariner i really do believe after his performance on sunday that wolves should officially object to him refereeing any more wolves matches.
some of the blatant elbowing from leicesters defenders was questionable to say the least .
good list cheesy
Any problems expected?
When I tried Wolves at the weekend both manu and burnley SOLD OUT.
I tried again today at 17:45 and both had tickets available.
47 seats available in NU7 for manu so I bought a ticket, paid and got the tickets via email.
When I refreshed the ticket page NU7 had a status of LOCKED OUT (never seen this before on the web site) for both manu and burnley?
The ticket details look OK and have all the relevant fields filled in correctly and I know that manu fans are in the Steve Bull lower thus NU7 is available for fans BUT I was surprised that 47 seats were available and then suddenly gone.
As anyone seen this before and will my purchased ticket be valid?
Now all I need is to get to Wolverhampton on monday by walking, bus, taxi and train.
It is happening all the time, fans buying tickets, decide they can’t go and sell back to Wolves, as soon as they have them they open it back up to sell.
Hi All,
My 23yo son (Australian) has a ticket for the Pyunik game tonight – his first Molineux experience. Heading into town about 4.30. Any suggestions for where to grab a meal and pubs to go to prematch?
Meet us in the Leaping Wolf
Bunch of us bloggers will be there from about 5.30 onwards
Great, thanks Clive. Watch out for a tall (6ft 4) skinny guy named Adam in a group of 3 (with a guy and a girl). I will tell Adam to try to find you guys
In case anyone is interested. Shows how much extra money there is to being in the big 6.

Watching the Wolves TV coverage of tonights game. Gotta say Cutrone especially, and also Neto, look like the real deal. Cutrone putting himself about, harrying and hassling and showing some genuine skill and desire.
Good signings, both of them.
Certainly agree with you on that one Steve…. Cutrone chased, closed down, occupied defenders and showed a tremendous work ethic and no shortage of silky Italian ball control skills , especially his assist.
Good performance all round from the new guys… Neto particularly impressive along with Vinagre showcasing his talent … things look good.
Great to meet up with Clive, Bedders, Brompton ,Dougie and big Mark ….. but couldn’t spot Adam…
