It’s pretty low to blame a bad result on the pitch, but I’m going to do it anyway.
As soon as the game kicked off last Saturday, you could see it was heavy under foot. A few passes held up and it was obvious it effected the team’s fluency.
Yes, it’s the same for both sides and please don’t misinterpret what I’m saying – Forest deserved the win and were comfortably the better side.
But inevitably when the opposition bank up you’ve got to move the ball quickly to create chances and the pitch made that trickier than it’s been all season at Molineux.
Wolves have been successful because they’ve been able to adapt to whatever the opposition have thrown at them. The playing surface in our last two league games has been a bit of a leveller in my opinion.
Just saying.
Ipswich
Portman Road is normally pretty lush, so I’m already in confident mood. But jokes aside, this is a tough one when you’re trying to bounce back.
Expect space to be at premium. Assume little to no time on the ball. Be prepared to scrap it out and take your chances.
The Tractor Boys are nestled in midtable, but just 6 points outside the play-offs. I think Mick is swimming against the tide a bit looking at the teams above them, but you never know.
If they do finish closer to the top, it will be because of their home record. 8 wins from 14 matches is as good as anyone (apart from Wolves).
They made life very difficult in the reverse fixture in December, but I think they’ll have to show more adventure as an attacking force at home and that could be to our advantage.
Wolves
I can’t fault Nuno for his team selection against Forest because I would have picked the same eleven.

And if a week in Marbella has revitalised everyone, it’s tough to consider wholesale change to a side that’s continually delivered.
Leo needs to get back among the goals sooner rather than later. I do expect another striker to come in before January is out.
I’d also like to see another midfielder too if possible. N’Diaye is an able deputy but I don’t want to rely on the potential of Morgan Gibbs-White to close the deal if injuries and suspensions pile up.
Ipswich
We haven’t experienced back-to-back league defeats this season. There, I’ve said it. But even tempting fate, I don’t think we’ll be derailed again.
Derby and Villa aren’t playing until Tuesday and Cardiff miss a week due to the FA Cup, so it’s an opportunity to put more daylight between ourselves and the chasers.
I’ll back us to do that, just.
2-1.
Up The Wolves!

oooooooooo, get him.
🙂
I can see us struggling. I have predicted nothing but a win for many moons but I don’t know this time out. Wolves pessimism creeping in. Hoping to be proven wrong but going for . . . . . . . .
Wolves win for me. Ipswich flatter to deceive most of the time. Mick would take a draw now.
Not playing our best st the moment but still think we will have to much for Ipswich. Hard fought 1-0
I’m betting on vitamin D supplement doing the trick.
I believe in the quality of this team.
GoWolves!
Time in the sun pays off for the Wolves…
In Nuno I trust but can’t deny I would love to see us bring in Grabban this window. 11 goals for a struggling Sunderland side already this season he will hit the deck running. If he gets 6 – 8 goals before the end of the season that will see us over the line and we would get our money back. However even without him think we will grind out a win against the Massey Ferguson XI.
Disappointed in our showing v Forest, we are still needing a regular goal scorer besides Leo, as yet I am unconvinced by Mir.
This is a big ask to me but if we win then my mind is back on track for the title..
We certainly could do and what another statement if we do and that is professionally bounce back ..
I reckon it’s all on Jota…
Bring on Jordan graham 2nd half he’s chomping at the bit..
Witches of East ip 1 score draw Hampton wanderers 1
Not overly confident as to where the goals will be coming from and parky bus itus is the flu like bug that may be affecting our opponents in second half of the season.
Speedy bump time…
^ Stay away from cannabis kids.
If we lose this weekend I’ll start to wonder if there is an underlying malaise within the team set up which needs urgent rectification.
I hope that’s not the case.
I’m almost sure that’s not the case.
That’s why I’m going for a win.
They’ve all worked so hard to get where they are it would be a travesty if they were to blow it now.
We’ve seen a ten point lead squandered before.
But that was Wolves BN.
It’s different now. Positive hat on, positive shirt on, positive pants on.
A draw would be my guess. We didn’t play that bad against Forest, it was only in the top end we were not at our best.
Of course I could be wrong and we win. I mean I have been wrong in the past on the odd occasion.
🙂
Bounce back we will. Slick, exciting and gobsmacking brilliance.
I’ll back a revitalised squad to put a stick in the tractor boy’s spokes. We need this one to be a more commanding display than the recent games even if it’s only as a confidence booster. Bonatini to get back on the scoresheet to stop you lot worrying about him all the time.
We never find it easy against Mick and I can’t see this breaking that mold. Teams are definitely putting in high voltage performances against the league leaders but a week soaking up some rays in Marbella will have recharged our batteries too. With Ipswich at ‘ohm’ they won’t be able to c’amp’ in their own box, so we can con’fuse’ them with our quick passing and they won’t be able to ‘plug’ the gaps in their defense for the entire 90 minutes.
By the end we’ll be singing…’Watt’ a difference a week makes’.
Mick’s hoodoo has already been broken – let’s keep it like that!
Won’t be easy, probably won’t be pretty, Leo & Cav to score.
Apparently Villa are now coming for us. This has caused me to become hysterical. I have just been to the Spar shop in Gornal pretending to be that horse on the Ipswich badge. I was escorted out and given the number of a local psychiatrist. Earlier on I chased Brian Clough the Pigeon round my garden with an axe. I have now completed some breathing exercises and am over it. The boys will be refreshed by the break and will wallop the Tractor Boys. It will be like a tsunami unleashed in Suffolk. I can see at least three goals for us and if it wasn’t for the brilliant notes in Terry Connors notebook it would probably be five or six. We are waiting for you Villa. Catch us if you can. 3-1 mighty WWFC.

Do u know where you’re avin a drink before the game?
We’re driving but not sure where we’re planning to stop en route.
Cheers
We get dumped in a Lorry carpark about 1/2 mile from Portman road. I believe they stop at a sevices at Cambridge on the A19 on the way, but don’t stop on the way back.
Don’t know of any decent pubs in Ipshite,I do recall a teail park which I think has one of them Frankie & Benny shit type restaurants with beer, but apart from that I can’t help you mate. Perhaps see you in there for a pint in the concourse.
Have a good trip buddy,
The main away supporters pub is the Riverside (Station) Hotel, which as the name suggests, backs onto a river and is located close to the railway station which is only a five minute walk away from Portman Road.
Yes, there was a large contingent of Wolves’fans there at the last game, an evening match. It’s the best place to go for away fans. A pint of Adnams or Greene King IPA will go down well. Across the road from the railway station…
Cheers all.
Hope to see you’s there.

Well Thomas, heavy under foot was it? I hope you’re not alluding to that we’re shit in winter stuff. Maybe there’s still a smidgen of truth in it. If so, the winter sunshine break in Marbella will come in handy. Wouldn’t be quite a week though. Did they fly out Sunday?
I’m backing us to get back to form after a few days bonding. Mick always seems to go the extra mile against us but there’s surely a gulf in class these days at all levels, and we just have to prove it. Ipswich will have no option but to come at us, which should suit us down to the, hopefully, lush ground. Mind you, we’ve had a bit of rain while the lads were in Spain. I don’t know where the rain in Spain stays but in Ipswich it stays mainly on the plain. I don’t expect sunshine football but I do expect to win.
I reckon the latest news is gonna fec us up!
Mick has took Ipshite to Clacton for the day.
Well that’s fect our plan of gettin more Vit D that the opposition.
Come on NUNO, we need to find some alternate & original ideas to get us back to winning ways.
UTW
Back to winning ways I think, hopefully the suns done the trick.
I think it’ll be tight because MadMick will want revenge.
Difficult game this at the best of times but especially when all eyes are on us. Forrest showed that wolves can be beat and how to do it. I think Mick will recognise this and sit tight, hit us on the break and try and get something from set pieces. It’ll be a scrappy game with it being stop start, expect jota and cav to get a kicking. 3 points would be a very good result and would make us all feel better about things without looking over our shoulders. Can’t see it though so a score draw for me
Agreed Ferris
Tough game with Mick and Clipboard parking the proverbial bus.
Tough muck & nettles game with Cav to score
COMBs!
It seemed obvious that the weather and the pitch was affecting our lads ability to play as they can, and I was delighted Nuno had seized the chance to take them away for some lovely warm sunshine.
They should feel 100% better and give those tractor boys a master class.
Nearly forgot to put this – Happy Birthday Nuno, 44 today, that’s why you took the boys to Spain, for a piss up.
Just had a text, that Afobe on the way back.
Hope not. We want better than that now.
Mick won’t be looking forward to the Mighty Wolves coming to tractor shitey, not sure he’s heard of vitamin D.
Hey Nuno, happy birthday.
44? Honest, you must av ad a morning & evening paper round.
Hope you had a great day, here’s to a great win to celebrate & see a 12 point gap again.
So another win to the mighty wanderers
Nuno had a dream”””’

Rick rack. I noticed above you are looking for a pub Saturday. I am not going but in the past a lot of Wolves fans gather on a hotel/pub right next to Ipswich train station. Not far from ground. I been in there. No problems. Think it is the station hotel. Might be an idea.
Cheers Cheesie 🙂
I believe we are in the middle of a lull , get January out the way and we will be back to our best , steady the ship with this match and then get back to winning ways
COYW
Tough game this , a draw would be a good result if we then win next week so four points from the next two games and I think we will extend our lead , us to score first but them to sqeeeze a late equaliser but hopefully I’m wrong and we win

Oh and ‘happy Australia Day ‘
Think we need to tread water for a week or two..certainly don’t want three L’s on the bounce and assume that Mick will have a plan to frustrate us. I’m Ok with a point even if that uses up some of our 9 point lead..not even thinking about 3rd place gap.
For me the trick is to up the tempo when it matters..that’s when the technical skills of this team make a difference and its how we will need to play next season anyhow. Not seen anything compelling from Mir yet..now’s the time he can start showing off.
Meantime assume grim match with Tractor Tots, Clipboard et al
I think we can sneak a goal – and they won’t.
Swansea then slowed down Liverpool’s Ferrari in the traffic with a 5-4-1 and that is what we are up against at the top of the league. Mick has never been known for being adventurous with his football style. Cannot see them getting past our big willy though. Think that with the week to re-charge we will be ready to go again now and we deserve an early goal(s) for a change so will go for a resounding victory rather than a perfectly acceptable draw.
Think (hope ?) that it is all paper talk about Afobe and indeed others we are linked with, We are now better than that, would like to see us get through without any additions this season, sign up the loan stars at the end of the season and add some quality future champions league quality players to the mix (will aboubaker come ? (apologies for spelling beforehand).
Redrow signs DOWN now – I am still available to paint over at very reasonable cost.
Money Shop OUT – proper sponsor required (Thomas Cook ?).
Liquidator – BACK.
Hope the pic is acceptable (enlarge to show the plaque)
COYW
See Luke at the E & S say’s we are interested in Solomon Rondon – trust this would be for the coach drivers job.
The sunshine should have recharged the batteries of the lads. I know playing Mick is always a nightmare but as someone said earlier we have beaten him already this season, why not again.
Would take a draw but hoping for a win.
First went to Portman Road in late 1971 with my Dad. Seemed to take forever to drive there from North London in those pre-M25 days. We lost 1-2 despite taking a half-time lead through The Doog’s back post bullet header from Waggy’s pinpoint cross from the left. A young John Richards came on as a substitute.
Last went to Portman Road towards the end of last season for a drab 0-0 midweek draw when we had a drab team of huffers and puffers devoid of flair or quality managed by the drab and very limited Paul Lambert. How things have changed since then!
This time around I am confident we will win as the Sangria, tapas, sunshine and rioja will have worked their magic on our boys.
Not saying it will be easy especially as Ipswich have an excellent manager in ‘Super’ Mick McCarthy but am going for Ipswich 1 Wolves 2.
OODCL
The most important thing tomorrow is to get a clean sheet
If we nick one all well is good but I will take a draw tomorrow though
Y not give graham a run out if he is fit
The few days away with a bit of sun thrown in was to get the lads heads back together as it was becoming obvious this lull is a mental problem not a physical or tactical problem.
Running at the head of the pack in a marathon is the hardest thing to maintain . we were running out of steam
Nuno realised what was happening and has rectified it.
Full on now to the end of the season and no mercy to anyone.
Every time I predicted a draw earlier on in the season we managed to win so I am going back to the old routine.
How come one defeat brings back the old nervous superstitions???
Had a week of shite from the Forest fans so hoping for a result to put the smile back on my face. Two of the girls I work with were asked “why is Wingy so quiet this week ?” – Don’t think people realise just what THAT result meant to me. Hoping the break has done the boys good and they come back rejuvenated. Wolves masterclass or win ugly, I really don’t mind. Upwards and onwards because this IS the year.
COYW & FONF
I think Leo, Diogo et al will find their form again, but this will be a tough game for them to hit those giddy heights again just yet. I’m predicting a pretty battling 1-1.
Interesting conversation with a vile fan yesterday regarding spoilt little Shiite grealish.
Apparently uglymush intended to build his team around him from the start but he got injured and threw his plans into dissaray.
We have had it because we have bottled it and they have their mojo back .
What is it with those idiots , win a couple and next year it’s the champions league .
I did feel fit to mention the 12 point gap but that was brushed aside as negligible.
I hope to dog we ram it right up their back passage next time we meet them.
Gobshite brummies who pronounce bath Barth!
Scrappy game written all over this one, hope the Bus Mick ordered fails to arrive on time. 1-1
Good job for the warning, was about to post a tranche of inappropriate images.
Going for a draw, as Ipswich will be the kings at parking the bus like Sunderland and Barnsley did.
I reckon the inconvenience of the 2 fa cup broke our momentum. Hopefully Nuno can mastermind us another winning streak now.
Well if you believe in statistics and the forwards taking dry january literally, this has a draw all over it.
But they’ve just had a week in the sun surrounded by Mildenhall style totty and sanngria and san miguel on tap….which I ain”t….So they’d berra bloody win!!!
2 nil I hope.
Larry,
Do mention the “b” word
Hoping that normal service is resumed here, usually go for a draw for marital harmony but stuff it I want the win.
As my husband has pointed out we have a family get together Sunday for Mrs Tipton Exiles Birthday, he has to be in a room with a load of die hard Wolves fans! I don’t think he wants the tractor boys to win really, but he says 5-1 to Ipswich – yeah right!
And Sky Sports strike again………………………
https://www.expressandstar.com/sport/football/wolverhampton-wanderers-fc/2018/01/26/wolves-and-aston-villa-fixtures-moved-for-tv/
So after tomorrow we have 6 of our next 10 games on the TV;
Saturday Feb 3rd v Sheff Utd (h) at 530pm
Saturday Feb 24th v Fulham (a) at 530pm
Saturday Mar 3rd v Reading (h) at 530pm
Wednesday Mar 7th v Leeds (a) at 745pm
Saturday Mar 10th v Villa (a) at 530pm
Friday Mar 30th v Middlesbro (a) at 745pm
Get used to it though as in the PL you are lucky if you get more than a dozen games played on a Saturday at 3pm.
Make that 7 out of 11.
Wolves v Hull moved from Easter Monday 2nd April at 3pm to Tuesday 3rd April at 745pm.
No news yet on Wolves v Sheff Wed on 28th April so guess the Bloggers Ball Bash is still up in the air?
Just been on sky. No news of Wolves v Hull on Tue 3rd mate.
What do you mean about Bloggers Ball being up in the air?
Wolves v Hull: I stand corrected – was sure I read it somewhere. Perhaps I’m just a psychic and it WILL be shown on TV!
Bloggers Ball Bash – so when is it? where is it? what are the times and arrangements? That’s what I meant by ‘up in the air’. We were going to go for the last home game of the season I believe v Sheffield Wednesday but until we know if the game is going to be moved for TV I thought we couldn’t arrange anything? For instance if we went for the Saturday night and the game got moved to a 530pm kick off it would mess everything up. Or maybe you rotten lot have organised the ‘do’ and not told me! lol
Nuno is famous, and we all wish him a Happy Birthday today, but I have to tell you there is someone famouser, and well known and beloved of all fellow bloggers who attend our occasional meetings, who has a birthday today, and that is the one, the only……………………
Mrs Sue Doogooder!!
Many Happy Texan returns.
Hope himself spends an inordinate amount of ( his own ) money on you today!!
As for Ipswich, and the rest of the teams in this division, all I can say is jealousy.
They all bitch about the money we’ve spent, buying our way into the prem, etc. etc., but they would swap places in a heartbeat, just as we would if the situation was reversed.
Fuck ’em.
If we want to compete with the big dogs, we gotta run with the pack.
If and when the whole financial bubble bursts, then the playing fields might level out a bit, but until then, as I said, fuck ’em.
Every opponent we come up against from here on in is going to want to do a Forest on us, and with the help of the crap refs and John McGrath type thugs ( look him up, he “played” for Saints ) they are going to try to kick us off the park.
Nuno has spent several days drilling our heros how to avoid such skullduggery, and how to elvishly wisp themselves out of trouble, whilst waltzing the ball into the opponents net, several times.
Ipswich are no better than Notlob or Sdeel, so we will stuff them 5-1.
Happy Birthday again, Sue, don’t forget the pix you promised!
Cheers Clive.
I’ve just jemmied the wallet open and broken out an old pound note and a few groats.
Do you think that’ll cover a couple of meals and a glass of plonk at The Sign of The Angel?
As far as the ‘pix’ she promised you are concerned, I think Thomas has already explained that we can’t have those sort of images flying about the blog!
And as far as John McGrath is concerned – what a bruiser he was. Built like a brick outhouse and tackled like a JCB on steroids.
Hiya Sue and Mark … we both with you (Sue) a fabulous birthday with lots of tlc, wine, chocolates and a good old helping of Yellow Tail….

Ipswich v Wolves – a brief and boring look back
For three successive seasons Wolves were drawn against Ipswich in the FA cup – 74/75, 75/76 and 76/77. For the 76/77 clash we travelled to Ipswich in one of two special trains for the 4th round tie at Portman Road in what proved to be a humdinger ending 2-2 with John Richards scoring both goals. (Our train was held at Ely whilst police with dogs boarded after doors, fire extinguishers and other fixtures and fittings hurtled past the window whilst 6 of us huddled round a table playing 3-card brag and supping from Ansells mild 7 pint cans). Wolves were plying their trade in the second division whilst Ipswich was flying high in the top flight and the (then) magic of the FA cup was again highlighted as 33,000 crammed into Portman Road, the quite perilous crowd surge when Wolves scored first in front of the travelling hordes is clearly visible on YouTube, with nearly 34,000 attending the replay at Molineux. As in the previous season Wolves won the replay 1-0 – Richards again on target.
In all competitions the teams have met on 84 occasions and the Tractor Boys have the edge with 31 victories to Wolves’ 28 although these stats include 2 fixtures in the Texaco cup in 1972 – both of which Ipswich won .
One of the early games came in the 61/62 season in the old first division. Ipswich won the title for the first time under the astute guidance of a certain Alf Ramsey. Wolves beat Ipswich 2-0 at Molineux with goals from Hinton and Wharton but lost 3-2 at Portman Road as Ipswich closed on the title with shit loads of goals from Ray Crawford (whom also scored an admirable 41 goals in 57 appearances for Wolves later in his career) and Ted Phillips. Ipswich remains one of 5 teams to win the top flight on just one occasion*. (Just two seasons later after Ramsey was appointed England manager, Ipswich went down – a quite remarkable fall from grace).
(*Question for you bloggers – name the other 4 – no Googling etc allowed and Bedford Wolf is not allowed to answer as this was question en route to Molineux last week).
After a few seasons meandering about Bobby Robson revolutionised the club in the late 70’s and early 80’s. Robson guided the team to FA cup success in 1978 beating Arsenal in the final, and the EUFA cup in 1981 and was instrumental in bringing in two overseas gems in Muhren and Thijssen. In addition they finished runners up in ‘81 and ’82 when – like Ramsey before him – the national team were calling and off he went. I had the pleasure of a lengthy chat with Sir Bobby Robson in the hotel prior to England v Portugal at Gelsenkirchen in the 2006 World Cup quarter finals. What an absolute top bloke.
As Wolves look to bounce back from the Forest defeat and scoring only one goal in the last 4 games, I forecast a draw tomorrow. At the local pool this morning I was chatting to an Ipswich supporter and he said that the atmosphere at Portman Road is “toxic” with McCarthy the main target for abuse and forecast an “easy” Wolves victory, although their home record is the 5th best in the division apparently. He was surprised Wolves were only allocated 2,000 seats when Leeds for example had an allocation of 4,000 and completely sold out. Maybe Wolves only asked for 2,000?
If you are travelling to deepest Suffolk tomorrow bloggers have an enjoyable day out.
Ipswich 1 Wolves 1
BOG
Mike, with regard to your question, can I have a consolation prize for naming 3 of the 4 ? I know Forest won it once in the late 70’s and Leicester won it for the first time a couple of years ago. I heard a song at Molineux once about WBA, I think, just winning it once but I can’t for the life of me think who the 4th club is.
Brilliant Ian – you know your stuff. I think this is a tough question because three of us in the car last week en route to The Mol got 4 and that includes BW and Rhys Lightning and those two know everything about everything.
The missing team is Sheffield United.
Yes the consolation prize is all the beer you can drink at Sunderland.
No sorry I will rephrase that – I have seen your consumption of ale – the first 5 pints are on me plus the same amount for Sue!!
All the best

Happy Birthday Sue, pix what pix that sounding suspicious, is that why Thomas gave the warning at the start of this blog, who knows…..

Hello Dorset Wolves Fans
Aye that was a day and a half!! One of our number won a small fortune at brag.
Unbelievable atmosphere at Portman Road as Wolves took thousands.
We were on the second special train out of Wolverhampton and it was packed with 800 lunatics!
I love looking back and reminiscing and I am so glad others do as well.
Have a great weekend
BOG
Hi Bog,
Keep those posts on the old days coming they are top drawer sometimes it becomes a distant memory then it all starts to come back l remember being in the ground that day the away end was heaving , about 5 minutes before kick off a there was a massive roar then the chanting of Wanderers coming from outside the ground we could see hundreds of Wolves coming down the road Ipswich fans running all over the place then it started spreading thru the crowd it was one of the special trains from Wolves arriving late.
All the beat mate have a good weekend.
When we lose tomorrow, I will expect to see all the doom and gloom merchants coming on here saying we have failed etc etc. I will not, as I am sure we will not win all our away games, but do expect us to do enough in our remaining matches to take the title.
Are you an ALPHA MALE WOLF…? 1) Take a picture of your wife/girlfriend/partner.
2) Find a nice frame 3) Hang it in the kitchen 4) Write employee of the month under the picture.
Why can’t the employee of the month hang it?
I’m off to Ipshite tomoz, so I’ve asked nay told her to have it done by the time I get umm
I’m not going to talk about you know who………..because I think his ego is big enough and I’ve said everything I wanted to say about him and his trustee side kick Clipboard.
No it’s all about Wolves what we do and what we don’t do . A week in the sun has hopefully topped up everyone’s Vitamin D level to full.
You cannot fault Nuno preparation taking the squad away for aweek of sun, sea, sand and golf should have re: energised everyone’s battery so I’m expecting and I believe Nuno is as well a positive out come in Wolves favour.
Incidently I said to my boss I was feeling a little bit jaded and that my Vitamin D level was dangerously low and that was there any chance of a week in Spain to get my mo jo back his reaction well I cannot print his actual words but the last one was………….OFF…….and no he didn’t mean get of to Spain with you it went something like ” get back to work you lazy sod oh and make me a coffee while your at it and if you don’t like it you can…………..off down the dole que……
,
I’m hoping Nuno has brought back a bag of them Spanish mojos to replace the ones that got lost (under a table at MacDonald’s or wherever the lads eat).
Then Mick, you can fill the goal mouth with buses, bandsman, cheerleaders, fourth officials and a double layer of breeze blocks. You won’t stop us, mate.
We can even play our forwards lying on their backs, we’ll still beat you.
No doom and gloom WAWAW. Come ooooonnnn!
Dorset Wolf, are you anywhere near Winterborne Kingston?
As for the game, I’m hoping a weeks sunshine will have recharged the batteries. Think it will end all square though.
Hi Adrian,
We live in Gillingham North Dorset
Regards.
Rob
Really don’t see why people are panicking all this nonsense of no win in 4 games, two of those where the reserves against Swansea so I don’t pay too much attention to the critics. Yes we where below par against Forest but we controlled the game for 40 mins without really troubling the kepper then found ourselves 2-0 down. Credit to Forest they defended very well in the 2nd half and posed a threat on the counter and we never really looked like getting back in the game.
Onto Ipswich and with the squad fully topped up on Vitamin D I expect us to get back to winning ways. I doubt imagine too many changes on the back of one loss in the league only questions for me are who plays up front?? Would not mind seeing Costa, Jota & Cav and possibly a start for Vinagre as Douglas looked a but leggy but saying that so did Doherty but no obvious replacement for him.
Agree entirely with your first paragraph Matt .. what’s the panic….
Great opportunity to put some serious pressure on the teams below us as Derby don’t play till Tues…… never high scoring games though versus Ipswich …in fact 0 – 0’s are very commonplace.
I went on a team building trip to Spain once in April … just can’t remember too much about it as was on the end of some serious drinking…. let’s hope our lads have been laying off the sangria and late nights.
I think the team will be as per usual with Costa on the bench … but making an impact in the second half… with a goal.
10 more wins, 30 points.
Simple Peeps.
Let’s make it 15 points on the Villans. Will it stop em phoning up the radio with thier predictions of our demise? I doubt it. The cult born in 1982 is still going strong, refusing to see the truth.
Another slip from us and Tata head, king Terry and the young prince Greallish bill be worshipped vigoursly as they build up to the ascention. Not that there is anything wrong with vigourous worship! We certainly don’t want to encourage that kind of thing on here.
Anyway, i’m off to the shed, private mildrnhall has sent me some nice badges to polish.
No panic fr long term plans, but points (and goals) a bit hard to get at the moment
Ips which dog shit
You are not it
There you go , that was easy.. wolves won
One nil
Ipswich 0
Portuhampton 1
Good morning all.
So its back to Blighty for the boys and the resumption of normal business. Hopefully the injection of vitamin D will have rejuvenated the boys. I don’t care who gets the goals as long as we win.
0-1 Wolves. And more players than usual will be wearing long sleeves and gloves.
Mendes ffs find us a striker because it ain’t Mir babe, oh no no, it ain’t Mir we’re looking for.
Wolves 1 Ipswich 0
Late getting on to make my prediction owing to “error making data base connection” whatever that means.
Ipswich have been on a poor run and Mad Mick has come under some pressure. Expect Ipswich to go for a win if not all out. Iorfa not able to play of course all of which points to a Wolves win.
To be honest I’m surprised how few of you remember Mick’s talent for getting big performances against the big boys at home. We are there to be got at the moment. Ipswich will be playing the style of football we have struggled to play against this year and their home record is impressive. I’m predicting defeat but hoping for a draw.
Not sure if a few days in Spain is ideal preparation for a wet and windy afternoon in Ipswich but hopefully it will have done the trick.
I’d take a draw all day long but sadly have a feeling this could be another tough afternoon for us.
NORMAL SERVICE HAS BEEN RESUMED…
Wolves Aye We!!
Got to be happy with that. I truly thought we would lose this one. I must have more faith. Well done lads.
Until Mick threw 3 Subs on to try and snatch it, there was only 1 team in it, back to normal, ran the game.
Normal service is resumed but we are dependant on a wing
back to score…(great goal) but could of been 6 to us…Jota
particularly guilty….
At least the bad old times of giving it away didn’t happen..
That’s class at the back…
Big result.
Massive result mate, massive. Appears we could have had a lot more – with a goal scorer lol
Excellent win.
Thanks to Clive in Texas and my lad Daryl in Dubai for the match updates.
Apparently Charlie Nicholas just bumped into Theresa May and mistook her for Oprah Winfrey.

Have you been on the sherbets mate
You obviously didn’t watch Sky this afternoon.
Charlie Nicholas was covering our game and said Cavaleiro scored our goal from a cross by Costa.
In fact Doherty scored from a cross by Douglas.
Mind you Cav and Doc are dead ringers – as are Costa and Douglas!
?
We were in Birmingham looking for shorts, tee shirts, Sun tan lotion and flip flops … ready for the good old sunshine …
Lilian said Cav had scored but the radio commentary credited Doherty… see where you’re coming from now mate… though.xx
Another holiday? Flipping heck you get around a bit! Lol
Have a great time the pair of you. Family first, Wolves second. Everything else nowhere. Just as it should be.
Are you back before we clinch the title on April 3rd at home to Hull?
P.S. what fancy dress outfits are you two wearing to the Sunderland game?
I’m not sure when the next home match is or kick off time etc … But next time the Bedford Hooligans are in town for a 3pm kick off we’d like to meet up at the Thai restaurant with you … could you let us know,
It’s probably QPR on the 10th Feb …if so we’ll meet you then … the day before we go …
Next home game 3rd Feb v Sheff U but I’m not going – and it’s 530pm kick off because of Sky – but 10th Feb v QPR we will be there. Speak nearer the time.
Yes get it that’s the first time we have completed the double over Merlin………….come on me BABIES………….Yeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Last fifteen games (including the apparent wobble) WON 11 DRAWN 3 LOST 1. POINTS 36. Villa Fuck Off. Poncy pretend Brummies from fucking Halesowen. Feel better now.
What have Nouha Dicko, Jed Wallace, George Elokobi, Kevin McDonald and Michael Kightly got in common?
They all scored for their respective clubs today.
And Charlie Nicholas can’t tell the difference between Wallace and Elokobi.

Loving the new song at Wolves….
Sung to the tune of “Slopp John B”
“Nuno had a dream,
To build a football team,
Fosun owners and a Wonder kid from Potro.
Five at the back,
Ace in attack,
We’re Wolverhampton,
We’re on our way back
Do do doop, do do doop
Repeat, repeat, repeat.
Good news is that following our win the PPG (points per game) ratio now shifts us back to promotion on 3 April v hull at um. Few games coming up in the week so things may change. Will update.
The Rain In Spain Falls Mainly On The Plane
In Nuno we trust
Brilliant result Mick will be spitting feathers!!!
Great result, I predicted a draw but the three points just takes the pressure from us and onto our coat tails who will play twice before we put sufc to the sword next Saturday 5 30
Anybody still unsure if we will gain promotion this year needs to wake the feck up , this team is so far ahead of any I’ve seen in recent years at this level, get on board and enjoy the ride
On another note , ( whilst I’m in a state of enibriation ) I recently attended a couple of games at short notice and although this team is right up there with my previous heroes, Parkes , Parkin , Palmer , Monroe , mcall , Bailey hibbett danial Richards grey wagstaff , I know I’ve mixed it up a tad , it’s the fans of wolves that make the club , I met a few, one even purchased and paid for a couple of tickets without ever even meeting me , fans from far and wide in the uk who travell week in week out to fo.llow wolves , that’s the real class that holds this club together, that’s the reason Fosun made the wise decision to buy this club and why we will be back in the prem next year
Utw
The strength is in the pack
