As Wolves found out at the weekend, possession really is only nine tenths of the law.

They had the ball 67% of the time against Rotherham but came away with nothing to show for it. No points. No goals. Zip.
Fulham have clocked up similar stats in both of their games and things are even worse for the Cottagers. They’ve yet to score or put a single point on the board in what’s been a nightmare start to their campaign.
This encounter represents an interesting proposition then. Two teams who like to get the ball down and play, but are struggling to put things together at the business end of the pitch.
Fulham
I’ll be surprised if Fulham are challenging for promotion. I look at their squad, their manager and the general setup at Craven Cottage and it screams inconsistency.
They had a useful formula during their long Premier League stay of picking up good players leaving the top clubs (e.g. Duff, Sidwell, Berbatov, Murphy, etc) and getting a few years out of them, but Felix Magath is employing a different approach.
His cocktail of young players and untested foreigners seems a very risky strategy. The likes of Scott Parker and Ross McCormack should provide good experience, but it’s a real mish-mash of a squad.
Back-to-back defeats are already piling on the pressure so desperation will be in the air from the kick-off tomorrow. That can go one of two ways.
Wolves
Wolves were highly impressive, albeit in defeat, against Rotherham. If they play as well as that in the remaining 44 games, they’ll be much closer to the top than the bottom.

I’ll be surprised if there aren’t changes though and the likes of Jacobs and Henry have been unlucky to sit out the opening two games. Price for Evans might be another tempter for Kenny. He’ll also have Tommy Rowe available for the weekend.
The gaffer
Predictions
A handful of people correctly predicted defeat on Saturday, but it was generally a low scoring affair.
I’ve played it safe and got it totally wrong in my guesses thus far, so I’m being bolder this time.
I think Wolves will see less of the ball but hurt Fulham on the break. A 3-1 away win for me.
Up The Wolves.

Sako, Dicko and Jacobs. In that order.
Late consolation for the hosts.
High scoring draw
This is a tough one to call, Fulham have looked dreadful in their opening two games and they’ll want to get three points on the board tomorrow night to kick start their own season, That aside there were many positives to take from the Rotherham game, We played some decent stuff and really should have picked up three points.
On our day we’re a match for anybody though, I think we’ll open the scoring early doors and should that happen Fulham may well struggle to deal with is on the night, Dicko and Sako should terrorize them with their pace, Anyway I’ll hedge my bets on another Wolves win. I’m always positive early doors and see no reason for that to change as of yet.
Dicko double for me !
Jacobs should get a start…goals from Dicko and Stears
Fresh from my correct prediction of doom and gloom at the weekend I see a Fulham side that are a complete bag of shite. I still think we will struggle to get the ball in the net so it’s a gloomy draw for me and probably the order of the boot for Magath.
All goals in the second half. Up the Wolves!
Time to predict with the head not the
Heart methinks.
I think we need a win to avoid the risk of a bad slump, but without a new striker, we really need the current crop to pick things up. I think both teams will struggle to score though.
I was at the Rotherham game and was really disappointed with Evans and La Parra – I’m inclined to agree with you Thomas and I think seeing Price and Henry back in the full time squad. I’ll be interested in seeing what happens with Rowe and Ricketts. I’d like to see the captain back in the defence…
I would play Van La Parra (Rajiv van La Parra (born 4 June 1991) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays for English club Wolverhampton Wanderers, predominantly as a winger but also as a striker.wikipedia), but not necessary as a winger. Maybe he could play behind Dicko, or as a striker? Jacobs is also an excellent alternative in the hole though. Or Jacobs on the left and Sako in the hole. There’s a lot of alternatives. One thing is certain – we need more creativity in the last third part of the game. In Jackett I trust. Minor adjustments and we’ll arrive.
Wolves win this one 2-1
I think we are playing well enough to beat a poor Fulham team. I expect us to take more of our chances and have a fairly comfortable game.
Beginning to worry about our scoring ability … hope to eat my words. We could do with the win to ensure confidence stays high.
Go Wolves!
I’d like to see the more creative Jacobs and the goal potential of Henry back in the side in place of Edwards and RVLP. Play the Championship winning team v Fulham’s rookies. I also predict a goal for Clarke
Mutual backlash cancel each other out?
Fancy us in this one. Dicko double.
A must win so early in the season..
Certainly Fulham need to get off the mark sooner rather than later..
If we lose this game Has Jackett reached his level…
Is he used to working with such a small squad because he has always been at small clubs ?
Certainly his press conferences are a waste of time now because he says the same well rehearsed script at every one..
Hope I’m wrong but procession means nothing,,,
The ONLY stats that matter are goals for and goals against. formations and tactics mean nothing… The only way to play is to win….
Yes Football is that simple…
Dicko and Sako to score
Game three and the doom and gloom merchants are singing like stuffed canaries, come on people, the team is the same one from last year with a couple of positive tweaks. Kenny is a better manager than Iv’e witnessed in a good many years, by all accounts Fulham are dross this year, even Ronaldo can’t score every game, let’s give the team some slack and they will come good.
Fulham 1
Wolves 2
Onwards & Upwards.
Unless they strengthen soon the Cottagers are going to get it in the backside all season
unless they strengthen what? their sphincters?
Before the season 4 points from the first 3 fixture I would have accepted.
Need to regain momentum. Full steam ahead Captain. RvlP and Sako to score. N Kenny to win 100 quid on the national lottery.
This really is a no brainer.
Fulham are going down like the Bismarck. ( makes a change from the Titanic) and we are going to fire an early salvo.
They have got rid of their “best” players, and are in free fall already.
Our man Senor Jackett will tweak the starting line up, will kick our forwards up the arse, and we will be on fire.
It would seem those with very short memories have already started the Jackett out campaign.
Only one answer to that.
Bollocks.
Less we forget, he was a complete unknown with us this time last year.
He gave us the most exciting season in a generation.
Let’s give the man as much slack as he needs, AND GET OFF HIS BACK!!!
Less we forget?
Do I detect a grammar/spelling Nazi??
I cannot spell lest, so I used less, coz the old rule applies,
S before T unless overseas.
And if you S before T you will have more room for food, not lest!!
That is one of the main reasons I am on here! Clive, you make me smile mate.
Am not at the game tonight, but will be meeting theDOOGooder in the “beer garden” on Saturday prior to us beating Cardiff.
Oh… I have a couple of photos of our CEO for you. He sends his regards. Do you want me to post them?
Yes pleez.
If you e mail Thomas he will, for a small fee, let you have my mailing address.
Give them a cheer for me on Saturday, and buy The Doog a pint.
Or two.
Will try to remember which camera I took them on, dig them out and ask Thomas/Ben to put them on here – save me postage that way!!
Very very unlucky to come away with nothing from Rotherham, but against a non-scoring Fulham lacking in confidence, we should take all three points.
Dicko and Edwards to score
UTW
A 1-0 win will do fine for Wolves. We don’t need to score many – just enough 🙂
Agree with Clive’s comments above some people do have short memories and no patience.
Wolves to up their game against one of the so called better sides in the league.
Time to get behind KJ the team and the club we are all in it for the long haul.
Hope Jacobs gets the nod
Should be interesting to see how our team cope with having a little less of the ball, hopefully they’ll not panic. I’ve got them to nick this one Fulham 1-2 Wolves.
I’m going for a draw on this one, but a bloody win would be great, set us up nicely for the weekend…..
Worried that we will play well for no result again (or even worse, play badly for no result). People are very quick to write off Fulham after 2 games in a new league – but I am certain that they will score sooner or later.
I can see our away day malaise continuing for now.
Fulham haven’t had a good start, but I don’t think it’s panic stations there yet after only 2 games, and they have players who can hurt us.
Hoping I’m wrong!
I’m afraid the stats are against us on this game. It seems whenever we play a team that has not done well, they do well against us and win. I hope I’m dead wrong on this but my gut feels we are going to lose this one on Wednesday night.
this prediction has to be right eventually….and 4 points from first three games would be OK
Well, two teams both coming into this game on the back of two defeats. Both keen for a win … But one team in the wake of their worst season for a decade and the other with the momentum from their second best season for ten years … Easy prediction – it’s a two nil win for Wolves.
Mind you, Wolves seem to have their worst away strip for a decade. What’s with that design ? Was the job outsourced to a WBA supporter?
Have you seen what they’re wearing this year? They’ve completely forgotten what a t**co carrier bag looks like and are now playing dressed as Spurs.
Idiots.
Happy to admit I’ll never win the prediction league given my inability to allow myself to consider us losing. Even tipping a draw feels like disloyalty!!! Never mind, I’ve been brave and despite a huge guilt trip am considering the possibility that we may only get a point.
I was going to go but for everybody’s sake (I remember gillingham and Crawley) I don’t want to put the black spot on the fixture…
We need this win…it puts us back in the groove and keeps us in touch..
I don’t care if we defend well and only
Have 30% of the play just please take our chances..
Dicko 1 at least… VLP I can see will be in the frame and it’s now time for Sako to make a mark again ..
Diff game at home with Cardiff coming up.. this ones easier…
It’s all a bit nerve wracking for me at the moment..
One of those crosses has to go in this time.
It’s quirky that after just 2 games both teams might be seeing this as a ‘must not lose’. So I think both teams will play cagey and look to protect a point. Whoever is the bravest will win .. “He who dares” ….. and Sako and Dicko (our French connection) will catch them on the break and I’ll get my 1st out of 3 predictions correct Sleachy!!
In the few highlights I have seen Fulham look bl**dy awful. They could be down around the dead men come next May.
Not a great start for my predictions so far . However I agree with the general opinion that we can win this game . Fulham remind me a little bit of us two years ago . A drop from the Prem and well fancied to make a quick return . No disrespect to them , but with a foreign manager fairly new to English footie – especially the Championship – and a continental approach , trying out youngsters and some new faces will take time . If they don’t turn it round sooner rather than later [ l know it’s still very early ] they may be in danger of doing ‘ A Wolves ‘ .
So , here’s hoping we pile a bit of pressure on them now . A timely win for the gold shirts tonight .
Reality check at the weekend, but tonight we will put things right…..I hope.
Why am I predicting a win? I don’t really know but Fulham have been awful and we have been playing decent football without any luck and chances going in. Hopefully something has to change and it will not be that Fulham improve.
On the subject of doom mongers they should get off KJ’s back. Having supported the team since the Cullis era he is one of the best manager’s we have had in my opinion. Leave well alone.
FOWB
Surprising results throughout last night, this could be a very competitive division.
Agree that any criticism of King Kenny at this stage is ludicrous and totally undeserved.
Perhaps luck will be with us tonight after Saturday.
Playing well and losing doesnt always
bode well espeically when you fail to score. The missed opportunity could have set us up for a difficult week or two. Fulham and Craven cottage will be desperate for a positive result. If we do bounce back will be great.
Hope they win but fancy the draw
A clever manager, a mean defence, a fluid style of play and those goals will come. Only one outcome -a win!
Bring back Christophe Berra for more goals
Fulham are a side mostly made up of youngsters who must be low on confidence.
Wolves are a team who should really be sitting on six points now, and the way they are playing should mean that the confidence is high.
If someone tells Sako that when he’s shooting the idea is to miss the ‘keeper, not use him as target practice, we should win this comfortably.
The key word of today is ‘Confidence’.
I’ve got it.
You are right. Confidence is key. I have been chuckling away at the doom and gloom merchants, already out and about with their moaning and whinging. I like what I saw at Rotherham, apart from the end result, and truly believe we will enjoy a good season.
What time is best to meet up on Saturday? It takes me around 3 hrs from my home in Yorkshire, and I will be stopping overnight at my brother’s house in Low Hill. A pint before the match maybe? And, maybe a couple after?
UTW/FOWB
I’ll probably hit the bar just before 1pm so whenever you like mate.
See you then.
As a Wolves fan in exile down south this is one game I’m actually able to get to, so looking forward to it. Have fancied visiting Craven Cottage for a match ever since I walked past it last summer and spotted the truly awful Michael Jackson statue. Sadly that has gone now.
The downside is that I appear to have been something of a curse on Wolves whenever I’ve been to a game in recent years, so will go for a Fulham win.
Fingers crossed I’m wrong and the Spirit of Jacko gets his revenge on the Cottagers for erecting that God awful effigy.
I think the effigy was removed to a paedo scrapyard. Enjoy your evening in Fulham Bagsy – oh for a decent pint overlooking the river in Lahndon at the optimistic end of a football season – such a terrific ground too. Let’s hope we have a bit more luck in front of goal
Entertaining game, with Sako’s dead ball prowess proving the difference.
Would like to see Jacobs start, and not sure who’ll play alongside KMac (Rowe or Edwards maybe?) Skipper should get a run out too, even though that’s a bit harsh on Doc.
Surely I must be right this time (normally beat Lawro re Prem. league circus) ?
With regards to KJ’s critics… He is allowed to have them, as some peoples points of view may be a little bit misguided, when expecting Wolves to win every game.
We “will” have shock results, we “will” be outplayed and out-thought by other managers on occasion, but based on the last 3 performances (not results), I don’t think there is a single person that can’t imagine anything but a successful season of some description.
To some… success will be mid table, to some it will be top 6, a small percentage will think only a top 2 position is the only outcome and of course an even smaller minority will be expecting us to go down again not expecting any form of success.
I agree with the level headed comments and as a Wolves fan watching the changes in our managers since Turner, I can hand on heart say he is not only the best manager we have ever had with regards to what he has implemented on the football side of things, but also has galvanised the fans.
I cannot recall at any point through watching the lads of any one of our managers having the backing of nearly every supporter.
I think KJ realises this and so do the players, with this foundation confidence from us and the players, this takes the pressure off the manager as his concern is not how to please the crowd to save his job, but how to please the crowd with his future plans.
I say future plans as I believe KJ is in this for the long haul. He will never get another chance like this and as symbiotic as it is, we will never have the same chance of a manager that agrees with setting up a footballing ethos in the manner he has rolled it out.
If KJ were to go to another “bigger” club, he would not be given the same platform and a bigger club would expect immediate results of which KJ could not implement and could find himself on the manager scrap heap after just 2 club moves.
KJ’s arrival was perfectly timed to be able to assess and strip the club of all the shit that was happening at the time, regardless of cost. Moxey & Morgan too may have their knockers, but I feel credit is due to the tightest accountant in football and to the owner in the backing of not playing the highly paid squad players, as a lot of clubs hierarchy would have had some say in that.
Going back to my thoughts on previous managers, some of the best managers that we have had, have come with baggage. Taylor and Hoddle for example could probably have worked, if given the same opportunity as KJ with flying under the radar, but all you ever got from the press was references going back to their torrid times as England managers. Each manager we have ever had has split the fans in their opinion and no one ever agreed with the team they played and in a lot of cases the fans did not agree with who the manager purchased.
King Kenny has free reign, with little pressure from us, the only pressure he has is from himself and that pressure is pride! His plan this season is to go up again and he does not care if we do not share the same belief. At the start of the season, he could easily have gone down the safe route and said he was going to aim for mid table to play-offs, but no… he wants promotion.
If we were somehow to finish mid table, I personally would not view it a a success, but would accept it based on shipping out high paid players next season and investing in the next crop and bringing through the next batch of promising youth players. This season will not see many, if any youth blooded I feel, but next season 2 or 3 of the youth’s could very well be highly established by the end of that season. As I mentioned earlier… KJ is looking at the longer term, I can’t imagine a manager looking at all these fantastic prospects if he did not feel comfortable and safe in his position.
As KJ has the right to have knockers… My right is to knock the knockers as the knockers don’t ring my bell… (Where the hell am I going with this?)
My prediction is a 5 game winning run starting tonight and the knockers will disappear.
… and I welcome any thoughts and knockers to my waffle.
Well said , Shrews.
Hear, hear. Must be time for one of my Left Liners I think.
A very apposite and insightful addition to the blog Shrews Wolf.
Keep knocking those knockers!
Talking about knockers and bells:-
My team came second in a campanology competition last week.
It was a fix though.
The winners brought in a couple of ringers.
I am sure I heard that joke the other day, I thought it rang a bell.
I got my friend an elephant for his room.
He tried to thank me, I said ‘don’t mention it’.
I had to give up campanology.
I got my cock caught in the rope and got tolled of.
sorry, ‘tolled off’.
Right on, dude!
See, I speak American.
While we are churning out bad jokes, The Dali Lama went into a pizza place and said
“Can you make me one with everything?”
This employer phoned his employee on his mobile and asked where the feck he was.
“I am on a train heading south” said the employee
“Why are you on a train heading south” raged the employer
“I don’t know” said the employee “it was you that told me I had to be in Brighton early this morning”
You know the gardening tip about putting horse muck on your rhubarb ?
Don’t bother , we have custard on ours.
I’ve predicted draws in both games so far and so have ‘nul point’. With a win and a loss behind us, a draw would complete a full range of results to start the season. But…….we should really have 6pts on the board, Fulham are playing like a team going down rather than just coming down, and, though they may just break their scoring duck, I’m going for us edging it.
Sticking with same predicition as Saturday. Dicko and Sako apiece. McCormack to begin to justify his price tag with a late consolation for them
Finally, a game which is near my home! Excited for this one, I saw Fulham play Ipswich and they looked good. They were unlucky to lose, as we were unlucky on Saturday. I think the manager’s ‘must win’ rant will only add pressure to their young team and may be a bad move. I don’t think I’ll be getting much work done today, gonna hop on the early train to the cottage and warm up my vocal chords. COOOOOOMMMEE OOOOOOOON YOOOOOOOU WOOOOOOOLLLVVVVVEESSS!
Why not? ! Imperative we score first. As we saw in both league games to date, it makes a huge difference. Dicko x2
Wolves back with a bang, onwards and upwards FOWB
I’m going bold for this one. As has been said previously Fulham are in a slump, and we all know how difficult it can be to get out of those. Dicko was very unlucky not to score in Rotherham and our defence is very solid.
My ex’s dad is a Fulham fan. When Mad Mick got us up in 09 he delighted in telling me that we were certain to go straight back down. He said that we wouldn’t even be able to get the ball out of our own half.
I took his daughter to the game at God’s Golden Acre, and was beyond ecstatic when we beat them 2-1.
His conceited cockney attitude and misplaced sense of superiority over me linger still, and so I hope that he thinks of me when Kenny Jackett’s mighty Wanderers comfortably beat Penfold’s Cockney Cottagers at the weekend. I would love them to suffer a double relegation.
Al-Fayed was right, they shouldn’t have got rid of the Michael Jackson statue.
W ith a very reasonable pre-season and the building of the squad
E veryone must agree that Kenny has prepared us well for this season.
W ith us sitting on 3 points after a home win and an unlucky loss away
I do not have any concerns whatsoever in us being successful this season.
L ooking at the way we played in both matches, I feel confident that we can
L ambaste any team put in front of us. We have that ability, drive and passion.
O bviously we need a degree of luck to blend with our power, after all every
V ictor cannot rely on ability alone. Fortune favours the brave!
E ach and every player should commit, give their all; like MacDonald did against
R otherham. I do not believe from what I have seen so far this season that their
C ommitment is in question. I would, however, like to see it continue throughout.
O ffering anything less is not acceptable in my eyes. I just want to see us become
M ighty, imperious, dominant. I want us to show all other teams that we are the
E lite – We are Powerful – We will Overcome – We are the Wolves!!!
Optimistic in thinking we will win this one. If we don’t start Jacobs I think this will have a draw written all over it, though.
Level in London
Hope I am wrong on this one. But Fulham needs 3 p .
And today Cormack will show how to put balls in the net.
Kan du snakker Engelsk?
Fulham are heading straight down to League 1 and we need to help them on their way. How they survived in the Premiership for so long is beyond me but now they are out they will freefall to their natural home.
Our goalscoring ability seriously worries me.
Hope my prediction is wrong and we win.
Am going tonight to Craven Cottage.
Last time I went to a football match live it was Wolves v QPR, sometime in the 1990’s and Mark McGhee ws the manager.
It was a 2-2 draw and hence my prediction for the tonight.
There are some good teams in the Championship and 4 points from the first three games a fair start…
Fulham to edge us tonight.
Feeling good about this one. Anybody know if is on TV? Seems odd everyone else played yesterday if not.
A ‘must win’ for them. When I heard that it sealed the deal for me. Feeling confident..
Another cagey affair – good point for both teams.
We don’t have the firepower for this division, so I can’t see us scoring more than once. Naturally, I hope I’m woefully wrong and that Wolves give Fulham an absolute stuffing this evening. But based on the last two performances, in which we’ve struggled to find the net, I can’t see anything other than a low-score draw. 1-1.
Don’t think we could of had a much tougher start fixture wise and i think 5 or 6 points from the first 5 games would not be so bad. Remember 3 of the teams were prem last year ,plus in the two league games we have played some decent football just lacking a cutting edge something KJ seems to recognise so no need to worry just yet.
I sense another good performance against an ex-Premier League team.
UTW
Important to keep a clean sheet tonight. I can see Rickets back in the team.
We need a striker urgently.
Maybe Doyle should come back in? Surely he is better than Clarke!
I think it will be a draw with either side taking a late point.
A point will be good for me.
Hope we can get back on track but gonna be pretty tough I think……..
too many kids in the Fulham line-up
If I put us down to only score once they’re bound to prove me wrong & get 4 or 5 in!!
UTW
I always have a problem forecasting against Fulham because as one of the 41,682 who were at Molineux on 16 September 1959 to see Norman Deeley score four as Wolves beat them 9-0 I’m still waiting for a repeat. I don’t think that’s going to happen tonight but it does seem like a good time to be playing them – they’ll probably get their act together later in the season.
Some of our possession and attacks must surely bring goals before long. I think it might be tonight and so am going for a clear win.
Bore draw for me. Praying for a consistent goal scorer
I think Fulham could be ‘ doing a Wolves ‘ this season.I must go for a Wolves win.
Been away so will just quickly get a score down whilst I can!
I’ve also got my first two predictions completely wrong. Not this time! A 2-1 win for me!
I’ll be a little less positive than my last 2 predictions in the hope of sparking a good run of form
Disappointing result at the weekend but a very encouraging performance once again, expecting Price to feature tonight and us to take on a more clinical edge. We do need backup for Dicko in ASAP, judging by the weekend subs Kenny doesn’t seem to have a whole lot of faith in Clarke atm.
Reckon a scrappy draw for this one
But hope I’m wrong and Clive is right!
Think fulham could be headed the way we were after PL relegation! fancy a high scorer tonight
Hope we find our cutting edge, if Thomas ‘s selection is correct Jacobs and Henry might do the trick
If Rowe is fit he might be worth a run out in the second half,
UTW
Hopefully we’ll take our chances this time.
Shrews,
Pure Brilliant mate, a good well thought out piece obviously from the comments echoing our thoughts too.
I phoned the Chinese restaurant last night, a strange guy answered, so I said, ” hello, are you Wan king the manager”
He said, “no, I’m Foo King the Chef”
Sorry to lower the standards but this lot above started it.
🙂
…… this lot above started it? lol. You bubbler.
Don’t see it happening today
I expect a backlash after the Rotherham game, plus a couple of changes
No goals for Fulham at Craven Cottage
Cant see us having enough to contain the leagues best striker
Jacobs to win it for us
Fancy us to win tonight.
Bit surprised with team just announced. Thought it was time to rest Evans with Jacobs, Henry & Price waiting for their chance. Fancy an Edwards break away goal.
Come on
There for ther taking i reckon!!!
Not sure they will lose three in a row.
Can’t see Fulham losing again or us scoring again.
fulham ave started bad so I can see us winning
Yes, yes, yes. Ok so Sako missed a penalty, but who cares – 3 points in the bag. Well done boys. Plus ……… I predicted 0-1 so I also got 3 points. Mint!!!
Didn’t sound like a bad penalty from Sako on to the post but surprised we started to fold 2nd half.. If we took our chances could of been Clive’s 5-1..
But we are up there..COYW
Let’s see those knockers now 🙂
Best defensive record last season and starting where we left off with best defensive record so far (shared with 2 other teams but that’s just the small print) and that to be fair was a rebound shot from a clearance (lucky goal).
We had loads of possession yet again and kept the clear shots on goal to a minimum.
I ‘d be happy going up this season with the defence playing like this and just knicking the odd goal.
Some games the ball will fall for us better and the goals will flow, until then I’ll be happy with another four 1-0’s.
Arsenal of old were renown for being the 1-0 masters.. We could show them a thing or two without having to resort to offside / the full monty tactics.
With regard to VLP, he is growing in confidence and could have had another player sent off today with his continued pressure… What a find he was/is.
If Lee Evans keeps playing like he is, then Mr Rowe may have a few issues bumping him out the side… I think he knows that and the pressure is doing him the world of good.
Enthused and can’t wait for the next game.
Did you go shrews sounded like a game we deserved to win ring any bells!!!
COYW!!!!!!!!!!!! YEEEHAAAA
Very impressed again. The confidence on the ball by every player. The Trust the team has with each other to play the simple pass. We didn’t try the glory ball all the time, which meant we kept the ball, moved it around nicely and built an attack. We only created a handful of chances but they we good chances. We pressured Fulham high up the pitch, didn’t give them time to settle on the ball. Our energy levels were high throughout. I can’t say a bad word about any player. We looked more like the home team, a deserved win.
I’m sad to say I did not go…
I caught the 1st half on BBC Sports website while at work, Watching the possession stats at 60/40, finished at 9pm, ran down to the car and switched on the radio to catch the teams about to restart play for the second half. Radio WM playing from M6 j9 at Wednesbury all the the way M54 j7 at Telford where I pulled over for to catch the rest of the game as I knew I would lose the signal as I go over the crest of the Wrekin hills into the lower plateau of Shrewsbury.
Sitting in my car biting my fingers as my nails were shot before pulling over, shouting at the radio and screaming “yessss” at the late penalty award… Then feeling a little despondent that it was tipped round the post, then followed by the elation of the final whistle.
Not sure how I got home as that was just a blur….
Did I switch the engine back on? I dunno!
Can a big grin be the the new renewable bio-fuel?
Just read the Sky report where their reporter thinks we’ll do the same this season as last with a well settled composed team…. The confidence is spreading!
Best Blog site ever, best Bloggers by far, so Come on Shrews lets start something here.
Let’s all get our Knockers out!!!!!!!!!
🙂
Information for all you Wolves fans in exile……,,,,,,,
Never miss another Wolves game…….
Every Wolves game this year in the Championship can be watched on WiziWig.tv. Just Google WiziWig and hey presto there’s the site. A bit grainy, buffering speeds can be Sh 1 t, but your’e watching the boys in Gold & black orWhite& Black when out of town (away).
My family have used it for years but they didn’t feature in the bowels of League 1.
You get all UK footy as it happens so you can keep up with the Albion as well, if your’e kids or Grandkids are playing up, tie em to a chair and make them watch the Albion for 90 gruelling minutes, that’ll teach the little beggars.
Enjoy 🙂
