It was not the result Wolves fans may have wanted in their side’s opening game against Everton, but it could turn out to be a very good point considering it would be no surprise to see the Toffees pushing towards a top-six spot at the end of the season.
Here are five things we have learnt from Wolves’ opening game and their return to the top flight.
1. Ruben Neves

Ruben Neves ripped up the Championship last season and we all knew he was good enough to do exactly the same in the Premier League. He has already caught the eyes of the neutrals with a superb display. The former Porto man scored a classy goal and just looked like he belongs at that top level.
2. We are More Than Good Enough to Finish in the Top Half
Given the signings we made in the summer, it was hard not to get too carried away about what a realistic target is this season. There will be some over-optimistic fans that will be backing Wolves to lift the title, where their odds to win premier league 2019 are 250/1. While that is no doubt getting carried away, a top-half finish definitely looks well within reach – the bookmakers seem to agree, as some of them make Wolves odds-on to end the season inside the top half of the table.
3. Raul Jimenez Looks Like a Top Class Centre-Forward
It was a dream debut for Raul Jimenez, who signed on loan from Benfica in the summer. Jimenez was able to get onto the scoresheet with an excellent header, which helped secure the point. The Mexican looks to have everything you’d look for in a centre-forward. One thing is for sure, the big man is not going to get bullied in the Premier League as he has the strength to really make an impact.
4. Rui Patricio Will Keep Us In Games

If the 2-2 draw in the opener is anything to go by, it is surely not going to be a boring season ahead. We already knew this when Wolves signed him from Sporting Lisbon but Rui Patricio will definitely keep his side in games as there is no doubt he is an outstanding keeper. In order to be successful in the Premier League, you have to have someone good between the sticks and we have our guy.
5. The Fans at Molineux Will Be the 12th Man
The atmosphere at Molineaux was as good as it has been for a long time against Everton; something which is really going to inspire the players if it continues. There will be times where the players will come under pressure against the top teams in the league; however, if we can make Molineaux a tough place for visiting sides to come to, it will really help out chances of having a successful season.
Up the Wolves!
