I came out of the ground after the first match of the season happy with a point and thinking the Premier League was tougher than anticipated.
Everton played much of the game with a man less yet could easily have won.

They moved the ball faster than Wolves and caused a previously impervious defence no end of problems.
I needn’t have worried of course.
The team adjusted quickly and we now head to Goodison one place and two points better off than the Toffees with every chance of getting a win in the return fixture.
Everton
There’s a feeling that it hasn’t really taken off for Marco Silva yet despite the fact Everton are 8th in the table.
Going out of the FA Cup to Millwall was a setback with a decent chance of silverware missed in a draw that’s opening up.
They’ll want to finish 7th and rightly so given the calibre of player they were able to attract in the latter stages of the last transfer window.

Keeping Idrissa Gueye was the challenge in January with PSG offering big bucks for the all action midfielder and they successfully fended them off this time.
They’d have liked a striker but reported targeted Michy Batshuayi ended up at Palace instead so they’ll be going with what they’ve got until May.
It’s won 6, drawn 3 and lost 3 from their home games thus far so little to extract from that fairly decent record.

The home end
Some comments from the match thread on a popular Everton forum:
We’re not at the races for sure, but our problems have come against ‘average’ teams when they set up at Goodison and look for a draw. I cant see Wolves playing that way. Yes, theyll look to bed in the game, but they’ll fancy their chances as they have on the road all season: 4 wins 3 draws 4 losses. They’ll come out and play; their manager will make sure of it. This will be two sides looking at this with one thing in mind: win it.
I do fancy us to win this because Wolves are a hipster team who are good one game but terrible the next, but there’s been no consistency in our performances to draw that kind of conclusion.
Can’t see Wolves sitting back, they’ll come to attack like Bournemouth did. Will be an interesting game.
It would be lovely to win and make it two on the bounce. Good side Wolves though so can’t see us winning as we don’t look in any way shape or form like performances are gonna suddenly click. Keep it tight, if we get a chance or two and take them then you never know but I think it will be a 1-1 draw or 2-1 defeat.
Should be a good game. They blow a bit hot and cold. We blow lukewarm at home. 2-1 to Silva’s stormtroopers.
Wolves
The only question should be whether or not Willy Boly comes straight back into the team?

It’s worth noting we have won both Premier League games he’s missed and kept a cleansheet against West Ham.
Saiss also scored and in my book enhanced his reputation with some committed, intelligent performances.
That said, you’ve got to play your best players and Boly is a specialist center half and also a giant tree. I would select him tomorrow, as harsh as that is on his deputy.
The poll
[interaction id=”5c541a819c5ce913e7129008″]Predictions
It’s as you were at the top of the Prediction League table with the leaders all collecting points having correctly forecasted victory over West Ham.
Well done to StuWolf, Paddy and Andrew Hadley who got the scoreline spot on to take a maximum.
As always, if you’d like to join in the fun, simply leave your prediction for the game in the comment section below, which is where you’ll also find my best guess.
Up The Wolves!

Another one of those six pointers in the mini league, which we currently top. Its the sort of game we need to take points from if we are serious about breaking into the top 6 – something we are more than capable of doing. Dendoncker and the tweak to accommodate him has made a big difference.
Wondering if we were in for Batshyayi?
Not for the reported 160 grand a week Steppenwolf, we can do much better for much less. He and his agent must have an inflated view of his ability that’s not shared by Chelsea, Betis, Valencia, Everton, Spurs and probably many others.
Everton are there for the taking and I think we’ll take them with the front two on fire.
I fancy us for some reason in another bit of a thriller as both sides seem to like expansive football and Everton can be definately got at. Something like 3-2 to either side but will plump for us to win it.
Jota, Jiminez, Boly to score.
As harsh as it is on Saiss, Boly has to start. I would like to add though that Saiss got some unjust stick v Leicester. For the most part, Saiss has looked calm, performed his defensive duties admirably and looked good on the ball.
Could Bennett now be at risk, as the plan in pre-season was for Saiss to replace him at RCB? Can’t see it in the short term, but one I’m sure Nuno will be looking at again in the summer. Anyhow, nice to know that Saiss can step in and we’ll be more than ok.
Confident for Saturday but at the same time wouldn’t be disappointed with a draw. 7 points from 9 against our ‘mini league’ rivals would be an excellent return.
For me you have to always play your strongest team and for me Boly is the better defender so he goes straight in. It’s harsh on Saiss but football is ruthless.
I was up near Nottingham a few weeks ago and talking to a toffee who was dreading this game. I actually think we will win this as they will come out to play and that suits us. If we beat these it will put the gap to 5 points for one of our rivals for best of the rest and I’ll take that.
Great news in the capture of Jonny.
High on confidence after smashing the Hammers I think we can go there an unsettle them . It will be a tight game but I’ve just got this feeling we can come away with all three points . Same starting eleven as Leicester/West Ham with only one change Boly in for Saiss .
COYW
This will be my second away trip of the season so very much looking forward to this particular game. Everton are a established Prem side who I thought were unlucky not to beat us in the first game of the season. This game will be very different as we have learnt a lot about the league since August. I think that two good teams will potentially cancel each other out so I’m going for a draw. Then again that’s what I thought might happen in the Leicester games so what do I know….
I’m feeling very confident about this one. Their 2 first choice left backs are unavailable and their centre backs are both fresh back from injury, meaning their defence aren’t used to playing together. They’ll be having nightmares about Jota and Jiminez.
That toffee comment that teams who stop them playing at home take points bodes well, another supporter who disregards our excellent organisation. If we keep it tight till half time the crowd will start to turn, especially if we’re creating chances at the other end.
I can’t see anything other than a Wolves win, but we’ve been doing well in the absence of predictions from yours truly so I won’t tempt fate by leaving a score.
UTW
Tough place to go but I’ll back us to dig in and cause them strife.
Strange feeling to have a Saturday 3pm kick off in the Premier League. We don’t seem to get many.
Well, I’ve predicted two draws and we’ve won both games. So it’s either third time lucky, or we’ll win again. Logical reasoning!
Watching this one at home sadly. Tight game for me, but we collect 3 points in added time.
We’re in a very good place, mentally and positionally, at the moment and it should be an exciting game. We have suddenly found out how to score regularly and I can see us getting another couple tomorrow. Boly to be back in his rightful place. Another clean sheet? Would be nice but I think they may squeeze one in.
I remember going to goodison to see us win 3-2 i think in the early part of the 79/80 season. we’d not long signed andy gray and emlyn hughes. emlyn got andy king sent off and I didn’t think he’d get off the pitch in one piece. it was a cracking game and we ended up finishing around 6th place and winning the league cup. for some reason, i get the game tomorrow might be deja vu. COYW
In Nuno and Fosun we Trust – surprised at no forward addition but quality players do not come to sit on the bench and jimenez’s form is so good at the moment that is all they would be a benchwarmer. Thought we gave Brice a steal with Iorfa if he can get back to fitness and form. A lot moved out on loans so we are preparing well for the summer. Zouma is poor imo and can be pulled out of position leaving Pickford exposed, there midfield is average and Gueye will be miffed to lose out on PSG so going for an easy win
Looking forwards to going back to Goodison, one of the Golden memories in my life, I like the family, olde Worlde feel about the place, another one of those grounds thats going to be sucked into the Coorporate world within the next couple of seasons. But, that’s as far as my sentiment goes, we are going there for 3 points, nothing less, taking the same Nuno attitude to Everton. If we play as we did against Leicester and West Ham then we will take the game to them and I feel we can win.
Everton 0
Wolves 2
Jota and Jiminez on the score sheet, clean sheet for Rui and Nuno going down the Wing in Raprures at the end.
COMBambinos.
Everton will go for it against us. This could be another Wolves/Leicester goal fest. Our earlier game at home to Everton saw us sneak a point after a very nervous display. Joto and Boly in particular looked shaky. Not anymore!
We are now firmly in the race for seventh place, and even a nose in front, with Europe being the prize (or the poisoned chalice!).
What happens tomorrow, assuming we play to our strengths, will indicate how far we have come this season. I’m torn between 4-2, 4-3, 3-1 but I will settle for my old standby of a 2-1 win. Had a bet on a straight win and also a win with BTTS.
Any one that is below us simply isn’t as good as us … end of !
That is exactly what Everton will find out tomorrow.
Their frustration with our spellbinding movement and passing will result in them being down to 10 men by half time.
Both Jota and Jimenez to get on the score sheet .
Boly to play and keep Richarlson quiet and i see another clean sheet.
COYW
Willy or Saiss? Tough call but it shows how far we have come when I can be sat thinking that a colossus like Willy can be left out of the team and we can still win games and keep a clean sheet.
Nothing personal against the lad, but what a terrible buy for £3m+ was Jackett’s purchase of Mason. Never convinced.
A complete waste of money… Good thing there’s Vokes and Batth money.
Whose idea was it to buy Mason?
Sadly, no one seems to want him now.
Let’s wolf the toffees.
He was worth that just for that great goal against the Blues.
I’m guessing because I don’t actually know, but I would imagine that these are two coaches whose paths have crossed before during their previous stints around Iberia. This may have given them insights into each other’s game plans and style and should only add to the intrigue regarding which of these mid-table behemoths will emerge on top.
The terrific performance last time out against a completely outplayed Wham gives me confidence that any sort of showing approaching that form will be enough for our heroes to secure all three points. Can we do it two games running???
I suppose Boly will be reinstated, although I’m not sure that’s just reward for Romaine who has proved himself a very able replacement. Otherwise, more of the same please and we’ll hopefully continue this remarkable season with our fur unruffled.
Looking to keep up with a good result. Finishing 7th would be a superb season. Hope we don’t regret no signing a new striker and letting Leo go. Any injury to Raul or Jota would be disastrous.
Its comforting to know that we have Boly or Saiss to step into that position both have done great there but Boly should take his place in starting tomorrow. I was quite happy with the transfer news yesterday with Otto signing whilst not getting in a striker and seeing a few leave on perm deals or loan like Leo who I wish him luck god knows he deserves a bit. Not getting a striker in is no great loss who we know Jota or Cav can step into that roll if needed .Then depending on how we finish could determine on who we could attract in the Summer. Tomorrow will be a tough game but we are more than capable of getting 3pts So I am going for a 1-2 wolves win.
I am going for an away win after the last 2 games, Jota and Raul have got their eye in
COME ON WANDERERS
I think Boly should start on the bench why disrupt a winning team.
I don’t think we have won at Everton since Andy Gray scored the winner in a 3.2 win to Wolves in 1979 one of my first away games.
Everton are no great shakes but can we carry on this run I think so if we don’t fix what’s not broken.
Not sure at all on this one so sit on the fence
Score draw we are on form, but they won in midweek and are at home
Bring boly back in to team for saiss
Everton have improved their squad since the season opener with the additions of Gomes, Digne and Mina. But their results don’t show much of an improvement.
I’m concerned that if anything happens to Raul (injury/suspension) we will not have a focal point for the attack. OK – Jota can step in, but his game/strengths are different to Raul’s. Think Boly will return – unfortunate for Saiss who, if he’s going to have a future at the back it will not be on the right (where he has been tried a few times and found wanting).
Us to sneak this one.
Can’t put my finger on it but there’s something a bit shifty about Silva… like a shady car dealer
Doubt that he will be there this time next year
Hopefully tomorrow’s result sends him another step towards the exit door
Thinking it could be a thriller
I can see a high scoring game with both teams thinking that they can win. I fancy us with a 4-2scoreline
Everton have not been any sort of powerhouse since they won the league back in the eighties, and were denied a place in the next season’s European Cup, due in part to the hooligan antics of their neighbors from across Stanley Park.
We shall help them maintain their status as nothings tomorrow, by winning 4-0
Yes, you read it correctly.
4-0
Once again, Tim, you got it wrong!!
Clive,
You’re nothing if not unpredictable.
lmfro
Clive,
Yam gona b pist at 4.50pm GMT tomorrow when I’m the only one to get 3 points in the Predo League.
Unless Tim matches my prediction.
Great evening on Tuesday and more of the same tomorrow afternoon will secure 3 more points I’m sure
I cant help but think where the team maybe now had the Belgian been fit from the start of the season and the 3 man mid field combination been used from the get go
Only just read Danny Batth s letter about leaving Wolves
Got to say .. o felt a tear in my eye
What a great bloke
What a true Wolves player and supporter
One of the most important centre half s in the clubs recent history when we needed it most
I don’t suppose he reads this but just in case
Thank you Danny Batth and I for one wish you nothing but the best for the future
Well said Matt, and I echo your words wholeheartedly.
Me too Matt, well said.
I’m glad he’s not playing in this team now. But, I was delighted he did at the time.
Loyalty, honesty, integrity, grit, and a bloody hard worker.
Thanks Danny Batth.
Well said Matt as l said in an earlier post cut him and he will bleed Gold and Black.
Well said Matt … a truly dedicated Wolves player who gave his all for us and deserves nothing but good wishes for his future….
Well said that man.
Danny Batth a gent & I’m sure has gold/black blood running thru his vains.
Thanks for all your efforts on & off the pitch & it was never a sending off.
Best of luck for the future.
I think that Boly will play tomorrow instead of Saiss. I know it’s harsh but that is Premier league football. I reckon that Boly would have stopped the first goal by Leicester where Saiss jumped in and missed the tackle. I also reckon that he would have cut out the header by Morgan for the third goal. Quite simply – him and Coady are our best pairing and must play.
Everton are there for the taking and, if we keep them quiet for the first 20 mins, the natives will get restless (bit like us in the bad old days!!!).
Raul and Diogo will run them ragged and both will score in a 2-0 victory.
What a nice problem to have, Saiss or Willy. Personally I would go with Willy but trust in Nuno to make the correct decision.
Was thinking earlier of which of our remaining games this season worries me could think of only three and this was not one of them. If we aspire to the heights we have to beat teams around us to begin with and Everton qualify in that respect.
Should be a good game with a few goals most of them to us.
Apparently, at half time against Leicester in mid week, Liverpool only cleared the ice from the half of the pitch they were going to attack in the second period.
Bloody cheats!
Let’s hope Everton don’t do the same.
Hang on a minute – is there any advantage in doing that?
Doesn’t it mean that your defenders will be skidding about all over the place?
Someone will have to ask Klopp what the thinking was there.
Anyway, back to the other Merseyside team. I don’t think that whatever they clear, or don’t clear in the way of ice, snow, or plague of locusts, will help them tomorrow.
If we play anything like we did against the bubble blowers, we’ll blow them away.
And, although the boy Saiss has done OK, I would definitely insert Big Willy straight away (Sod foreplay!).
Yes, Doog they did. One of the most unsporting actions I have witnessed. Sadly it seems to be the norm these days as sportsmanship has all but disappeared from our modern game.
Never change a winning team- Willy on the bench and to start next Tuesday. Wonderful win this week but not getting carried away, this league will punish any complacency and over confidence. We can win this one too but we will need to firing on all cylinders again.
Hark back to March 1980 and Villa away . Our reserves stuffed them 3-1 with a quality performance. Next up the European champions. Did we change the team – of course we did and won the League Cup in doing so. Poor old Forest.
Not changing a winning team is for sentimentalists and not winners. Thankfully Nuno is the latter, just ask Danny.
Quite impressed with Everton in the opening game at The Molineux. Richarlison in particular looked a threat. Since then they seem to have gone backwards. Silva has chopped and changed all areas of his team, perhaps because they lack balance. So inevitably they look uncertain as a team and unclear about their individual roles.
Wolves on the other hand are brimful of confidence on the back of a series of excellent results. Individually they are clear on what is required, defensively they are in the main steady and Dendoncker’s introduction has worked. Up front The Two Js are in a hot run of form.
I am therefore expecting a fairly comfortable win but have slight concerns that Richarlison may again be able to exploit hesitation on the right side of Wolves defence.
I think Marco Silva is under a lot of pressure at Everton and is struggling to win over their fans. If we can “get at em” early on, the fans will soon turn against Silva and the players and make life a little easier for us.
Richarlison is their main danger man and if we can keep him quiet and play to our strengths (as we did against WHU) I’m sure we can pick up another 3 points.
However, we must not lapse into one of our “Watford at home” like performances.
Iv’e been trying to get to see someone at the Wolves ticket office about Jen De Wolf’s loyalty points the whole day. The place has been chocka the whole day, finally got seen at 3-30. (Still queueing out the door)
They closed the Steve Bull upper stand for the Shrewsbury game as they thought it wouldn’t sell. Up to 9 am this morning they had sold 17,000 tickets. They put them on General sale today and it’s gone bananas, they have re-opened the Steve Bull now. The ticket line has been swamped all day and as I say, “the ticket office itself has been non-stop.
Oh what a time to be a Wolves fan.
Thanks Stu that is why nobody answers the phone been trying since 10.00am, great times.
Sods law they now decide to open the Steve Bull upper (that’s where my season ticket seat is) Already got my ticket for the game and have to slum it with the South Bank lot – lol – only joking . Should be a great game. Fingers crossed for Everton .All the pundits are predicting a Wolves win – for a change ….
You can change your seats back to your own ifthey are still available…
Nah can’t miss a South bank experience ! Back to my days as a youth ! I remember them
Well . What ever happened to the sub way army ? God they where the days
I feel Everton will now go all out to beat us as they are out of the FA cup. This will fall into our hands as our counterattacks will bring us the goals.
After that fantastic show tuesday night ,with the football we’ve all craved.
So what ever we get at Everton will be a bonus,I think we can get at least a point but all three are feasible, It would be a fantastic achievement to finish the best of the rest in our first season back in The promised land.
Great bit of business in signing Johny.
Just gotta keep It going and then who knows top six maybe.
UTW FOWB.
Let’s eat those toffees! 🙂
Forgetting to predicting……Oh my god…..@#£&*!?+
From the express & Star.
Ticket sales in home areas have already surpassed the 21,000 barrier, with Wolves now opening up the Steve Bull upper tier to cater for unexpectedly high demand.
League One side Shrewsbury have been allocated up to 4,500 seats in both the Steve Bull lower and the Stan Cullis quadrant. They have sold 1,600 tickets so far.
Wolves offered reduced prices for the fourth round replay, with adults paying £15 and concessions either £10 or £5.
The winner of next Tuesday’s tie will travel to face Championship outfit Bristol City away in the fifth round.
That game has been moved for television coverage and will take place on Sunday, February 17 at 12.30pm, live on BT Sport.
Stu,
if ney when we win on Tuesday that gives us 4,050 tickets (@15% of 27,000) for the game at Brizzle
hopefully with 1080 points I can get one!!!!!
We will see you there then buddy, love it down there, we take over the place behind those goals.
Bloody great…
I’m lucky to be going tomorrow and hopefully meeting up with Stuey, Jen, Ken and Carmen plus BG WOLF who is also heading to Goodison.
Regarding the Saiss / Boly question … it’s got to be Boly although I will praise Saiss for his outstanding performances in big Willy’s absence.
After our midweek slaughter and Jota and Jimbo being on fire … I’m so looking forward to another scouser away day (Liverpool in the cup) and a smash and grab, this time at GP.
We’ll be on the train going up, along with a few bevvies in Wetherspoons and then onto Goodison Park to meet up with the Blog Bandits above.
Anything near replication of Tuesday and it’s goodnight Marco…..
Prediction time coz I forgot …
Should be an entertaining game. Roman has proved that he has the ability to stand in for Willy, even so he will feel disappointed to miss out here. Donk has made a big difference in midfield, freeing up Neves and Monty to ply their trade, and boy have they!
I think this will end in a draw, so going for a 1-1

Nice one Doog.

Cor wait. We’re capable of winning this, its just about whether the same side that destroyed West Ham shows up.
Let’s keep the winning streak going. Another clean sheet and Jimenez with the winner!
Delighted that Jonny signed up. Big thank you to DB for all he’s done for our club & best of luck to Leo at Forest – hope he finds his shooting boots.
Whoever plays tom will give their all so I’m happy whoever plays.
COYW
I’m not shocked that we only completed the Jonny signing, I put that down to the fact this management are Savvy. Why buy at inflated prices, we don’t need to sign anyone to achieve the minimum requirement for 2018/19, then the remainder of this season allows Nuno to decide how to take us forward and prioritize any new recruits.
And with Jonny its another near record transfer that has nearly gone a-miss and 2 years ago, it would have made front page headlines in the E&S thats how far we’ve come…. still struggling to believe this is happening to my club! And the amount of pride each time I look at the table – FWAW
Having watched the highlights on Sky, I think Saisse wanted to make a point about his inclusion in the side with the celebration after the goal…. but, me think like others that Nuno has no time for sentiment and big Willy is a shoe in.
Having said that Saisse has a role in this squad, he can play centre-back and midfield….
The rest of the team is the same as for West Ham, however, I think Richarlison to be the main threat @ not so Goodison, keep him quite and I think it’ll be a stroll in the Goodison
And betting odds are similar for a home / away win, & that’s the measure the bookies have on us even if Merson and his cronies say we’ll get tonked again.
Also hope we get a Clive and make it to 1st on MOTD as the whole of the country should be treated to our liquid football.
The performance against West Ham really was special. Complete control and could have scored many more. I don’t however expect Everton to be as poor as West Ham. Strange how they are only a few points behind us but the perception is they are doing poorly and we are doing well. If we start well score an early goal the crowd could turn. That said Everton away is never easy so would happily take a point. Saiss played well against West Ham but for me Boly is straight back in.
I think this is gonna be a bit like a Rocky Balbao fight, we land a blow they land a blow then at the death Rocky comes out as winner. Both teams can score goals so a goal fest it just may be…..
#LetsAvIt
Seems like a gazzilion years since we came away from Goodison with anything, thya last time I went there was for a cup game late 60,s early 70,s and we lost 2 – 1, time for a change.
Difficult decision between Saiss and Bolly but we trust Nuno will make the correct one.
Wolves to win 2 – 0
Tough place to visit, I think another high scoring game.
Looking forward to this game.
Expect Boly to return, which is hard on Saiss who played so well on Tuesday.
Hope the midfield 3 and front 2 stay the same.
First goal is vital. Be great to keep another clean sheet.
It struck me that down the years our successful periods have largely been times when the team virtually picked itself. Thus in the fifties we had Williams (later Finlayson), Stuart, Harris, Clamp, Wright (later Slater), Flowers with a forward line with names such as Deeley, Broadbent, Murray Mason, Mullen and at different times Wilshaw, Hooper, Booth etc. I’m sure bloggers could chip in with names from other periods – Hibbitt, Knowles, Bailey, Richards etc etc.
The point is that for me we are almost at that point now with the present team. There are a few options up front but there’s almost no doubt about who our regular defence/midfield members are. That brings results – which seems to be happening again. Yes, we’ve had some blips and could (perhaps should) be 6-9 points better off from our bad run. No, we are not yet fully where we want to be, but for me we are well on the way – and it’s delightful to watch. Thanks are due to all involved at the club, not least to Fosun and Nuno.
Having said that we should get a result tomorrow – but the real point is that in the long term it won’t matter if we don’t, we have a clear target, a clear plan and the resources to support them. There will still be slip-ups, but what a team we have, what a club we support. COYW
Great post, agreed in full. How many times over the past 20 plus years have we the fans not known our best starting 11 and Mad Mick & many others admiting they also didn’t know theirs.
Also need a shout out to the physio’s cus this team is fit to play for 95 mins every game & that is key to keeping a settled side.
Should be an interesting game. Can Everton recover from recent relatively poor performances – can Wolves continue with the superior form shown against the Hammers?
Form would suggest we should shade it and the lads are definitely on a roll.
I have been cautious about forecasting a victory recently but I fancy our chances this time.
More of the same please, the side above is our strongest side at the moment by quite a bit. The Mighty Wolves at a canter.
I fear a goal from Richarlison, but sure we can win this, and get another win.
We do need to get that consistent intensity; I’d like to see us do more in the first half, but as long as we get another 3 points that’s fine.
Great performance in the last match but we are renowned for following up a really good performance with an anti-climax.On top of that, Everton are not mugs.
Therefore going for a narrow defeat.
We are a consistent tight squad, Everton less so. A win at goodison would be very special. COYW let’s deliver another step on the stairway to 7th heaven.
Reading all the above predictions shows exactly how Wolves have changed. Not one loss predicted. Playing away from home to a team like Everton. The expectations from the fans are high. Isn’t it WOOOOONNNNDERFUL !!!!! I thought I was going to be optimistic and predict a draw, but my fellow bloggers have shown me the path of truth. So the choice is 1-0,2-0 or 2-1. If Big Willy is in, I reckon 2-0 is on the cards.
Oooops, somehow my prediction above is under v as opposed to vicsmith. Will re-enter just in case
Everton are not bad, and a point at Goodison a decent result.
With big Willy back just inside little Johnny from the start and Jota n jimmy chomping at the bit I fancy us to get another couple of goals even though we are away, problem is I think they can score too , I still worry a tad from set pieces but 7 points from 3games will do for me thanks
I don’t like their manager though so would love a late winner
Utw
I agree Marney.
Tight game in prospect with goals.
A share of the spoils will do me. First goal important to set the tempo.
COMBs!
How the heck does big Willy get inside little Jonny?
Had a dream about this one. Two 3 Nils on the bounce.
We go into this game in good form and full of confidence. It should be a good game and a 2nd clean sheet in a row would please me as much as a win. Coady will be right up for this one
I said last week that I could see no reason why we should’nt and could’nt win the next six games – one down, five to go! Like Rus I think we can turn them over- three nil again!
I ate toffees
And we never seem to do much in Toffeeland, not when I’ve gone anyway.
I ‘m going for a repeat of day 1 result 2-2
Carl, I hope you still read this blog. Always thinking about you on match days, mate.
Boly has to start. We’ve missed him like Wise missed Morcambe, Laurel missed Hardy and Sonny missed Cher.
Even with him I think this is a tough one so I’m going for an all action 2-2
While over time Ive managed to brainwash my lovely wife into supporting wolves, her father was a lifelong Everton fan, so this match always has a little extra spice for us.
The early season draw was the start of a learning curve for us, and oh boy what quick learners we have been. However cant see Everton being so soft or inept as our midweek opponents and the home crowd will demand their side show commitment and desire. To counter this my black and gold heroes need be up for the fight, and with man mountain Bolly back to bolster the defence Im sure we can enjoy a decent performance and get a decent result. Another clean sheet perhaps and a couple of goals for Jimenez.
Backing us for a win, with Jota and Raul catching them on the break again.
Well played Saïss over the last few matches but I’m expecting Boly to return for what should be a very interesting contest against the Toffees.
I hope Wolves maintain the high standards set against Wham. Happy to sit on the fence as regards a result.
Oh yes, I too was touched by Danny’s open letter. He was a great servant to the club and I wish him all the very best for the future.
Very equal sides at the moment, going down the middle with this one, but still hope we win
We were wonderful against West Ham, hoping we carry on where we left off. Boly back in for me. Saiss has done well covering but Boly a better defender and distribution from the back.
Missed the last prediction, urgently need 3 points 🙂
Would probably take a draw but the way we’re playing right now we’ve got every chance
Hope for a win, take a draw…
WOLVES BUY JONNY AS COVER FOR WILLY…

Another good win. No longer a surprise. More what you expect.
Have you noticed, that every team beaten by Wolves have played badly (again today according to Nichols on GSS). Must be magic. Oh that’s right, Wolves are magic!
Purring with delight (I dare say there will be plenty of other cat jokes).
I was lucky to catch the game in its entirety on http://www.hesgoal.com. Absolutely brilliant from the boys.
Well that was easier than I thought
10 goals in 3 games
Who needs a new striker!
Fwaw
We don’t need black cats or any other charms we have Nuno Espirto Santos.
Again the media churn out how our opponent’s have played badly but not all you can count on Shearer giving us our dues
Cannot praise everyone enough fans players Nuno his team but a special mention to Jeff and Fosun. ……… Thank you for giving me pride back in supporting my one and only true love…..Wolverhampton Wanderers. ..!
What a CATastrophe for Everton, the CATalyst for greater things for Wolves, I can CATegorically say that I am loving everything Wolves at the minute. Being a Wolves fan is PURRfect at the minute.
Please don’t let the cat out of the bag!!!!
You feline all right Ian?
What a great afternoon of viewing.
We tater the Toffees and then England thrash the Guinness swillers.
It doesn’t get much better!
Perhaps with a no deal brexit at the end of March.
Best to keep such divisive politics off this blog, as we’ve largely managed to do for quite some time. The country’s in a total mess so thank goodness for our football team.
Don’t forget the shit and Leeds both lost as well!!
Bloody wonderful bring em all on now.
On the subject of pundits was pleased to hear Charlie Nicolas praising us highly on Sky this afternoon
Really Tipton, I missed that bit. In his summing up it was all about how poor Everton were.
Tom Ince’s father is predicting 6th for Wolves.
If Man U slip up, we can be within 7 or 8 points after this weekend.
Marco Silva puts an official complaint into the FA, Wolves using underhanded tricks to steal a win at Goodison…

Everton immediately put in a £17m bid for Mog.
Mog rejects offer, states, ” he wants to develop his skils at Molimew”
Love it Stu . We were awesome !
Just watched, listened to Silva’s after match press conference , what a Anchor, he said he only gives credit when opponent’s do something special, said he team made it to easy for Wolves……..Sorry but when i see someone being an sore loser and an arse hole i give them plenty of credit for being one….!
At least he didn’t blame the wind or the ball.
This guy was actually at the game and was at least, facing the pitch.

And all you can hear in the background are us singing, my throat is sore now, must have another glass of the amber nectar.
