It is nearly that time again.

A time when a number of Bloggers Unite in A Park View Hotel in Wolverhampton to discuss the season in depth.
A time where we meet those Bloggers who we have either not seen at all or those who we have not seen for some time.
A time where the discussions lead on from how the club have performed on and off the field, to how certain Bloggers have pissed off certain Bloggers and a time where we all unite regardless of our ethnicity, sexual orientation, prediction ability and our overall views, to have an absolutely amazing chin wag, sup a few ales and generally talk bollox.
For those of you who have been contemplating attending the end of season gathering, which is now in its fourth year, but have been undecided in the belief that it is a clique; well, you are correct, it IS a clique.
A clique of Wolves supporters who want to talk Wolves to Wolves fans, and who want to talk Wolves to whoever is willing to listen. And often to those that don’t.
This end of Season BallBash (we might consider a name change) is planned to to take place at A Park View Hotel, 12-13 Park Road West, Wolverhampton WV1 4PP on Saturday 6th May 2017.

The intent is for Bloggers to arrive anytime they wish during the day and weather depending we have previously assembled in the large area behind the hotel where all the fun starts. There is no need to “sign in”, just turn up and I am sure you will enjoy the day.
Evening meal
We have on previous gatherings ended the evening by way of dining in the restaurant. I have arranged the booking of the main dining area for us from 8pm.
Those that wish to dine that evening will need to let me know by no later than mid April so that I can confirm actual numbers with the hotel.
Those not residing in the hotel will need to pay a deposit of £10.00 per head, but I will pay this and recover it from you when you arrive on the 6th .
There will be a three course A La Carte menu at a cost of £26.00 per person which you can see here. I ask all wishing to dine to let me know your choice of Starter, Main and Desert and I will forward that to the hotel at the time of confirming numbers.
To date I am aware of the following Bloggers who intend to dine that evening, please let me know if this is not accurate:
Mark Davies +1
StuWolf + 7
Bedford Wolf
Brompton Wolf
Twixfix +1
theDOOGooder + 1
ClivefromHouston
Please note that there is provisionally a number of ex Wolves players attending the evening. Names are known but will not be released – so come along and be surprised.
Everyone reading this Blog is most welcome, whether you post on here or not, and it will be great to see as many new faces as possible. The more the merrier.
I am sure that Clive from Houston will undertake his annual trip to the Black Country, so for those that have grated their teeth throughout the season after reading his posts, please come along and meet our Pussycat.
I am also sure that there will be a number of Bloggers arriving from all over the UK and from other parts of the World, and I am sure the whole day and the evening event will be enjoyed by all those attending.
Even though I have not asked him, I am confident that Mark theDOOGooder Earl will once again capture the events throughout the day and produce yet another fantastic montage, for us all to enjoy.
Finally, at the last BallBash, it was decided that at the evening meal we all dressed wearing “Silly Ties”. There has been some deliberation about a theme this season.
Any suggestions (not stupid ones Clive), are welcome and the decision will be made on the majority of suggestions received.
Looking forward to seeing you all again in May.
Brompton Wolf

Edible underpants.
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yummy
Amanda
You are back!
Hope to see you there, I think!!
Amanda,
Get you pretty little arse down to the Hotel and meet all these bloggers you love so much. Would be really great to meet you – really.
A whip round for a new tent for you
Matt toying with the idea of making my first BallBash . Will you be there and will you be stopping over ???
Come on down (or up even). You know you want to. Will be great to meet you. There are still a number of rooms left in the hotel if you are thinking of staying over, if not come down anyway and meet the gang.
You talked me into it Bromton, you smooth talking git. Just booked a room for my son and I. Would love to join you for dinner, we will let you know our menu choice at the weekend, if that’s okay ?? This is the first time we will be wishing for the last game to come round.
Be great to sed you mate. I have added you and your Son to the dinner list. No rush on menu choice.
Thanks, Shaun and I are looking forward to meeting you all.
What’s your first and last names please. Just need it for the dining list.
Barry and Shaun Wilson for the record.
Thanks mate. That helps
Oh, and not forgetting the game the following day.
Witley ,I will be there
Not sure if I’m staying over yet , I suspect the rooms have all gone , if so and I do , then I shall probably stay up the road at the ely hotel .., can recomend
They had about 5 left on Monday Matt. But I heard Ely is okay too.
See you Saturday in the North Bank Bar hopefully, for a nice cup of tea Vicar!!
Get Brompto to bring his double wide tent, I’m sure he will rent you a space for a small fee.
Thomas,
Thanks for doing this for me. Two points mate, firstly, you did not have to choose that picture!! and secondly, I thought you would have picked up my typo!!
Joking aside, there is a pint waiting for you mate.
Steve,
It’s Stu + 4 at the moment, still waiting for 2 more players to agree to face Clive.
I promise I will get in touch as soon as I know for sure.
StuWolf
Will they be dining mate? Will need to know their meal choices and, of course, making sure they pay up. You know what ex players are like – always expecting a freebie lol.
Steve,
I shall pay for them all. so your’e good for the dosh. I shall pass the menu to them asap.
Maybe we could ask if other bloggers want to contribute?
Happy to contribute, if needs be, Steve. It shouldn’t just be down to Stu.
That’s two of us mate.
Put me down for a contribution as well.
I know all the players got paid better than most of us at the time they were playing, but you cannot put a price on what being a Wolves supporter down the decades means, and the lifelong friendships forged at The Mol, and other far flung lands, such as Halifax and Barnsley!!
They gave us immense pleasure and pride, so a little bit of payback is in order, I feel.
It will be a quid well spent!
Nice one mate. Very generous. That’s three of us now.
I’m not sure all ex-Wolves players gave us immense pleasure and pride Clive. I can think of one or two……… 🙂
No need guys, I am more than happy to pay for them, not a problem.
Myself and Mrs Twixfix will be jetting in from NZ.
We have rooms booked and of course will be delighted to share the same dining room with some of you …. ‘A’ LISTERS.
I’ll have to let you know our menu selections in due course.
Just to endorse what Brompton has outlined …it’s a great …have a good loff and chinwag day and/or evening and we all get to meet (again for some) …Pussycat Clive…as well as the usual mobsters.
Plus of course it’s the Goalden Palace to follow after brekkie.
If you can’t make Saturday afternoon or evening ..then come down to the APV on the Sunday morning before the kick off.
I’m looking forward to meeting up again with you all…..
I like the idea of talking all things Wolves. My wife reckons I can turn any conversation around to Wolves.
Anyway, thanks for doing this blog Steve. Barbara and I are looking forward to our second BallBash (not sure if that reads right). We’re staying at APV on both the Saturday and Sunday, so plenty of time to meet up with friends old and new. And, yes, count us both in for dinner on Saturday evening. APV can add it to our bill.
Dress items could include headgear, anything from beanies etc to bandanas and maybe silly specs – just putting it out there.
Got that mate. I have now included you in the “Dining Gang”.
What’s your first and last names please. Just need it for the dining list.
No worries Steve. It’s Dougie and Barbara Singh. I’ll get back to you re menu choices.
Thanks mate. I completely forgot your last name – excuse me.
Not a problem Steve.
Look forward to seeing y’all there, although I won’t be eating.
As usual, I’m only there for the beer.
Be good to see you again buddy
I might pop down early doors on Saturday afternoon for a few beers but won’t be about later for the meal. I’ll be heading back over Sedgley way to The Crown karoake and singing Joy Division or summat.
Be awesome to meet up mate. See you then.
You better show yer ugly mug, cheesy, we all want to put a face to your off the wall blogs!
Mine and BOG’s rooms – separate ones as I’ve been told he snores like a rusty chainsaw – have been booked for months so we’ll both be there for the duration including the meal.
I loved attending the do last year – it was great and made me feel young again. Well I was one of the youngest there!
Anyone from the Blog would love it so please come along even if it’s just to say hello.
Would be nice if Thomas and Ben (and partners) came to the meal as, let’s face it, if it wasn’t for them and this blog none of us would know each other.
Suggestion for ‘theme’ – wear (or carry) something Wolves from the 1960’s or 1970’s. Twixfix please note this does NOT include your lucky pants.
If the majority are ok with it I would like to volunteer to host a Quiz after the meal on the Saturday night. Quiz questions already prepared with ‘audience appropriate’ categories of questions and there would be Wolves themed prizes for the winning team. Let me know please?
Meal;
Carrot and coriander soup
Penne arrabiata
Chocolate brownie
Thanks Dave. Got all that. Will include BOG on the list. See you soon mate.
Hello Brompton
Thanks for organising the bash. Looking forward to it especially as I am a first timer.
Herewith my choice of grub……
Fishcakes
Pork tenderloin
Ice cream
All the best
BOG
Got that mate. Thanks. See you soon.
BOG, what’s your first and last name. Just need it for the dining list.
Hello Brompton
Name as follows….
Michael Upton
Cheers
BOG (sounds better).
I like the idea of a quiz. And the wear/carry theme.
your pink pussy purse don’t count
And Brompto will get the final, prize giving question, in three parts.
He will be asked in which order he wants the three parts asked, he will reply part three first, and the question is:
Who scored?
Old un’s, like me, are the best.
What’s your last name Dave. Just need it for the dining list.
Sims.
BOG is Mike Upton.
Cheers buddy. Sorted.
Sorry, I don’t think I’ll be able to make it this year chaps.
ONLY JOKING!!!!!!!!!
Do you think I’d miss the Event of the Year?
Me and the PMDG’er are as up for it as two very up things pointing upwards.
We’ll choose our nosh later but, Stu, I’m up for the ‘Sponsor an ex player’s meal’ idea. Whoever they are the poor darlings could probably do with a square meal.
Me, She and the trusty VCR will be there to save for posterity the X rated goings on at the APV.
C U there.
Mark, I will chat to you later this week. I have a couple of ideas I want to pass your way..
Mark – be careful mate. If his ideas include ropes, duct tape, chains or whipped cream then think twice. Or indeed thrice.
Please tell me what is wrong with whipped cream?
Emphasis on the whipped?
Depends on the context I guess.
Strawberries and whipped cream – lovely, yum-yum.
Brompton and whipped cream – aaaaaaaaaagh!!!!!!!!!
Might there be a promo-video?
If you ask nicely, I might see what I can do.
Nicely.
Nicely.
Nicely.
p.s. just bloody well do it!!!!!
Mark, is your mobile on? I will be sending you a message. Failing that I will email you.
Spoke to the Hotel and the 10% service charge for those dining has been removed.
If we reach 27 diners (we currently have 21) then the main dining room (the conservatory) will be ours alone.
Well my belly and yours count for another two!!
And BOG eats for 2 and drinks for 3 so we are almost there.
Hi chalky … put me and mrs lwl at the table mate , got a room booked for that Saturday night .
Yahoo. Absolutely Matt. Consider it done. Just let me know your good lady’s name and your Surname mate.
Matt and Elaine Baugh
Thanks Matt. Looking forward to seeing you again and meeting your good lady. Are you staying in APV or elsewhere.
Yep brom o , Park view mate
Good lad Matt. I might even buy you and Mrs LWL a half a shandy each. Only might mind.
Watcha Brompton.
Please make sure they have plenty of lemoncello ( spelt that wrong I`m sure), for the after dinner shots. My long suffering wife Rona will be with me, although we have to be in Shifnal earlier in the evening but hope to be there for 8pm. We are booked in to stay the night.
Don`t mind whats on the menu, so long as its large helpings and a pudding with custard, if you need selections why not post the full menu options on your next blog.
I just hope Rona doesn`t come onto this website and read the posts, if she does she may just decide to send me on my own!!
Mark, you can see the menu from the fourth paragraph under Evening Meal above.
I have you down as attending already as I saw you had booked a room when I asked Sat to confirm the date in her diary.
Look forward to seeing you both.
Have y’all noticed how Brompto is doing all this organizing, and toadying to us?
It’s coz he still feels immense shame about his blatant cheating last year on the preddo league.
Either that, or he has another nefarious scheme for winning up his sleeve!
Bet he already has the t shirt printed.
T shirts? Hmmm. Thanks mate, I knew I had to do something.
All Bloggers – watch this space if you want a T Shirt or Polo Shirt especially for a photo shoot at the Ballbash. I shall put a design on here with costs very soon.
I may even have a special one for Ash K when he wins the prediction league.
Wolves bloggers ball to be shown live on the New Molineux Video Screens next season, comes with commentary on the brand new PA system……….

This will be around £8.00. Exact cost will be confirmed PRIOR to ordering.
Why would anyone else want a t shirt with your name on it, Brompty?
This will be around £23.00. Again a confirmed cost will be given PRIOR to ordering.
I often lament the state of football nowadays. It’s all about the money, clubs and players seem to live in their own pampered bubble detached from the fans and the fans themselves seem to be treated like an irrelevance by those who control the game.
And then all of a sudden something happens that blows that negativity out of the water. Step forward Charlton Athletic F.C.
Keith Palmer, the police officer killed on the streets of London last week, was a lifelong Charlton fan and season ticket holder.
So what have Charlton done to pay tribute to the man. A few platitudes? A minutes applause before their next game?
No.
What they have done is;
1 they will be donating 50% of gate receipts from their next game to Mr Palmer’s widow and children
2 their players are donating their match day pay and bonuses to the same good lady
3 they have replaced Mr Palmer’s match day seat, red like all the others, with a special white one and given it his police warrant card number
4 in their next game the players shirts will also bear the same warrant number in memory of Mr Palmer.
Charlton Athletic, you are a true football club.
Thank you for restoring my faith in the beautiful game.
R.I.P. Keith Palmer
What a fantastic story, warms the cockles of your heart.
Charlton Athletic reversing the trend. Brilliant gesture.
If you read the Fans Paliament and read between the sheets you will see a certain Lorrie McPimple is concerned about the face of footballl the fans are seeing. Hence a bold sratement at the last Parliament (prior to this latest edition) that we could not afford to buy Costa in the Summer, No way on Gods green turf could we afford to replace the Video walls, and a new PA system would be too expensive and the work involved to huge. Fast fwd 12 weeks, we’ve bought Costa, and new video walls and PA system ordered.
The worm is turning, and Lorrie said, “the early bird” catches one. Well our early bird has caught 11,000 that’s 1000 up on the same time as last year.
So well done Charlton for treating your fans proppa, and in part Lorrie McPimple for listening to us fans at the Golden Palace.
RIP Keith Palmer, you obviously were a great supporter and have been recognised as such.
Be great if wolves could make a gesture . I know that london wolves have massive links with charlton . We have all our main events at the valley
Brilliant stuff at Charlton. I would like to see the Tory rich boys come along and thank a true working class bloke for defending them and their bunch of snobs with a MILLION QUID donation to his widow. Fuck all to them. Just another pleb dead on their behalf.
Hi Steve,
With apologies for our tardiness, below are our meal choices for 6th May.
Me (Dougie Singh): S – Honey & Roast Camembert; M – Bacon Wrapped Chicken Breast; D – Classic Lemon Tart.
Barbara Singh: S – Thai Salmon Fish Cakes; M – Bacon Wrapped Chicken Breast; D – Cheese Selection.
Thanks mate.
Got that Dougie thanks. Just need to chase the others now lol.
