The more this intriguing season twists and turns, the more the mind wonders back to another belligerent side we grew to adore.

As we hung on for a wonderful away day in Blackburn, it was hard not to think of the embryonic outfit Mick McCarthy assembled in 2006.
Unfashionable, uncompromising and unshakable in the very games that most expected us to lose.
After a sobering Crystal Palace home reversal followed by injuries to Peszko, Doyle and Sigurdason, many would have taken a point at Ewood Park today, just like they would have six years ago in a game at Leeds United.
In equally emphatic style on the other side of the Pennines this time, Bakary Sako was imitating Jay Bothroyd with an absolute belter late in the game to seal three points that no team will work harder for this weekend.
As unpredictable as he is unstoppable, the Frenchman’s cult status grows at a speed proportionate to his Exocet that snorted past Danny Murphy’s nose.
We all know where our 2006 vintage finished come 46 games and with Solbakken working with this battle scarred squad – beset by injuries at that – we’d surely grab a fifth placed finish again if offered it now?
If we can eek out results like this until Christmas and give Stale some meaningful cash to spend in January, then maybe we can aim higher still?

With our Norwegian leader bereft of all but two of his summer signings today, every ounce of his nous was needed to record an away triumph, not to mention a clean sheet with a defence so porous before his arrival.
We appeared to be the side doing all the pressing in the first half and were thoroughly good value for the 0-0 half time score.
Had Ebanks-Blake not headed against a post from six yards when unmarked, it could have been even better.
The second half bore the hallmarks of a home side being scolded for not grabbing the game by the scruff of the neck.
Time and again Rovers pressed, only for Johnson and Berra to repel the bombardment with braveheart defiance.
And just when we were being pushed to the point of breaking point, an overhit back pass presented us with an unlikely corner.
When it eventually fell to the royal boot of our Saint Etienne hero, a Skud was dispatched to seal our 17th, 18th and 19th points of the season.
That’s four more than 2006 if memory serves.
Player ratings
Our new signing David Warrington, who hasn’t missed a single Wolves game since 1995 is now offering weekly player ratings from each game (out of 10), starting with our glorious Ewood Park victory, so over to Dave:
Carl Ikeme 7
What he did he did well, no saves to make so that means a seven.
Richard Stearman 7
Injury summed up game – committed and brave. Subbed.
Stephen Ward 7
Steady performance. Calm.
Christophe Berra 9
Man of the Match! Loved his tussle with Rhodes, flawless game.
Roger Johnson 8
Just pipped by Berra. Huge game, won everything.
Kevin Foley 7
Played in 3 positions and assured in each one (R/B, R/M and C/M).
Karl Henry 7
So important to us. Kasim-Richards got him booked after shoving him in face!
Tongo Doumbia 7
Looks to be carrying a knock but good. Played more advanced role.
David Davis 7
Good first half but faded.
Bakary Sako 7
His goal was brilliant, worth an 8 alone, but going on his general play.
Sylvan Ebanks Blake 7
Should have scored in first half but worked his socks off alone.
SUBS:
Anthony Forde 6
Could have scored twice, should have squared to Zubar to win 2-0.
Ronald Zubar 5
Kept giving the ball away. Shadow of old Zubar
Danny Batth
Protected back 4 when coming on, couple of good clearances. No mark as only on a couple of mins.

SAKO!!!!!!!!!
…to pick up on your proposition, I don’t think I would take 5th now. I would have done a month ago.
But given what I’ve seen of the Championship thus far, the growing faith I have in the manager and the fact we should be able to bring in reinforcements come January, challenging the top 2 shouldn’t be a pipe dream.
We should not be challenging the top two, we should be in the top two with the rest challenging us!!
This for me was the best result by far of this season.
All the signs were for a resurgent Blackburn, finally rid of their Mick McCarthy, screaming home fans willing the ball into our net, and us on the back of a home defeat to Palace, with most of our strikers absent, to stuff us.
But they didnt.
And a clean sheet to boot.
We went into the last international break on the back of a thumping from Cardiff, and we came out of it on fire, with 4 wins on the bounce.
Another international break, who knows how much fire and brimstone we can produce in the next few weeks?
Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant result, and ‘er indoors was listening to the commentary with me, and even she jumped for joy when we scored!
Actually, I think the screams from the commentators scared the snot out of her, but whatever!!!
FOwb
Not a pipe dream but I’d still take 5th now. One look at today’s bench tells us how much Stale is working with. One look at the back 4 and he’s working miracles with these clean sheets!
Brilliant result, and the kind of battling performance that will help us to achieve success this season. Its very early to be talking about promotion, but you’ve got to think it would be a much more enjoyable experience watching the boys in the top flight with Ståle Solbakken guiding them. This season has certainly proved more enjoyable than last already.
yehhh!!!!!! lost my phone last night, been completely adrift of all football news all day, just got on a mate’s laptop and obvs came straight to wolves blog, what a happy moment!
love love love love the wolves
come on you wanderers!
Great result, didn’t expect a win with the latest injury problems. Well done Wolves, now I won’t be depressed for the next two weeks.
Fantastic result considering our injuries. Sako is golden and the best signing we have made for along time. Great that the back 4 are all playing so well. Trust in Solbaken… Since TC has gone that’s 5 wins in 6 games says it all. Future is looking bright well done Wolves.
Sako already filling the void of ‘best foreign signing’ and he’s only been here 5min! Definitely trust in Stale!
Big big win espeically after the bloody nose we got against palace.I have confidence in the manager.
Unexpected and brilliant! With all the injuries we were getting not many expected much but the clean sheet and the three points is MUCH welcome!
Stale’s going to be brilliant for us!
This is a game we would have lost before ss. Woulda taken your hand off for a point. Great result. The spirit has come on leaps and bounds in the side. After a sickening loss mid week we have the strength to bounce back . That’s the most encouraging. Once again to all rovers fans that sang “you’re goin down ” at molineux last year- put that in your pipe and smoke it…… “you’re stayin down”!
Well that was unexpected to say the least! Question to anyone who was there, how did they line-up as I can’t seem to work the starting XI in to a 4-4-2 unless Sako was upfront and Ward on the left?
4-5-1 i believe mate, with Davis, Doumbia and Henry across the middle, Tongo pushing on a bit. Sounded like it worked a treat 1st half but SEB got a bit isolated in the 2nd.
Thanks Ben. Always useful for players to be able to adapt and change between different systems, gives us more options. I think the system you describe is great for getting the best out of Doumbia who, when I’ve seen him this season at least, always seems to have more to offer going forward than 4-4-2 would allow. Wonder to what extent injuries influenced this or whether this is a system we may see against the so called stronger teams in this division? Anyone know what happened to Siguradson btw?
Well Ben as we had chatted . Sako just behind in a 451. Nice option away. Good to see ss has our vision!! Utw
What comes to mind every time Sako scores is a text I received from a french friend who told me just before we got him…..you are getting yourself a fantastic player…believe me……..and wow….is he paying us back ! He will become a legend in Wolverhampton……
With Blackburn’s fire power it is very impressing keeping a clean sheet. And it is also exciting to read that Forde got two opportunities to score. January is drawing closer and I can’t wait to read who’s our targets in the loan market. While some don’t want the team to be promoted already the first season, I myself hopes we does. As a foreigner it’s quite frustrating that so few Wolves games are broadcasted.
A massive 3 points which could be worth 6 come Easter. Bl**dy fantastic result.
Agree with Clive, need to be looking at top two place.
Great result.
I really thought they would have 2 much for us at home.
So pleased the lads proved me wrong.
From the commentary it was a dull game. That matters none, all that counts is 3 more points !
2 weeks now to get people sorted for the next game..
Can’t wait for the next one.
Its a strange feeling actually looking forward to matches again as a Wolves fan after the last couple of years isn’t it.
How fantastic to return to winning ways, but importantly we kept that clean sheet again! it will do the team wonders. Well done. Lets not forget they were quite prolific infront of goal with 9 goals in last 4 games!
Lets turn our attention and focus to the next game across the Pennines where a Huddersfield team can score a few but have shown some frailties at the back.
Lets hope our boys can find the on target shooting form to keep us in the hunt.
Clive I love that yanky optimism there mate!
COYW
To get that result with an injury-hit squad speaks volumes for the organisational ability of the manager. All credit to him.
I did say a month ago, when there was much noise and consternation after our second defeat in four games away at Cardiff that we should judge Stale and this new Wolves team after 10 games and guess what…they are doing pretty well!
Let’s also acknowledge that this is still a team that is developing, evolving to a new style of play, with some players living in hotels and that there is much, much more to come.
I agree with the sentiment above that we have to be thinking top two – however the season end is a long way off, so the focus for now should be one game at a time and to keeping picking up points.
Nice one Stale 😉
First of all what a fantastic win after what happened against palace.
never did i think we would get back to winning ways especially at blackburn with a depleated
side.
Keep up the good work stale, also what a find in sako, another cracking goal..
Still think we need another striker though…UTW.
We’ve got another striker johnok – he’s on loan at Tranmere and scoring for fun. To my mind it’s imperative that we get him back here so we can start converting the chances we are creating and keep the momentum going.
Totally agree DOOGooder, why not, if he can score goals there why not here,Everyone needs a break so give the lad a chance.
Yeah it was a 4-5-1
………….Ikeme
Stearman RJ Berra Ward
Foley Davis Henry Sako
………….Doumbia
…………….SEB
Great result, was like an away version of Sheff Wed.
Not quite as controlling as you’d expect away from home and a Sako thunderbolt won it.
The atmosphere in the away end was about as poor as I’ve encountered though. Very strange.
UTW.
Yet another 1:0 :). Ståle must be pleased with the cleensheet. Let’s hope we get some injured players back during the international break.
Didn’t see that coming. Credit to the manager and players because the old Wolves would have found ways to lose that game.
Still not taking chances infront of goal – that continues to be a concern.
What is most impressive is that when we needed to, Stale changed the formation. I was worried he might fuck around in a Mick kindsa of way, with Ward up front and Foley left back but we just added a centre midfielder. If we were to sign Frimpong on loan, I think it could be the way forward with Henry holding, and Frimmy and Doumbia getting about and pushing forward. May suit Sako more too, as he can play more freely.. only worry is SEB isn;t the type to play on his own, but Doyle isn’t enough of a goal threat…
Anyway, great result!
Ståle is the best
Im gonna chyme in in a way you’ve probe seen a few more times lately: I find it a bit funny so many of you actually seem somewhat surprised by Ståle. Even with the massive lack of backing in FC Koln he still maintains a better winning percentage in his managerial career than Arsene Wenger … He always were rock solid as a team captain, had awesome leadership skills and has the potential to win anything. He took a mediocre, ripped Ham-Kam team in Norway from being basically “the left-overs” to getting them promoted to the top division and in the very next season they finished 6th…
If you really believe in him then you will know that – although he’ll probably deny even thinking it – not only will he take this team back to the Premiership, he will finish top 12 there in the first season if he gets to make his own decisions on which players to get and who to boot. Its not even about the cash, its just about being able to make his own choice and not getting players he doesnt know because they were signed by someone from the Board without him even getting to have input on it like in FC Koln (where there is said he could’ve had better players signed on free transfers than what the board threw cash at).
Its still early in the season – when we pass game, well, my guess would be 15-20, you’ll see the league’ most rock solid defence – thats when the fun starts. Ståle is NOT a 1-0 guy. You will see an active, attacking team like Copenhagen was, but it has to start with a rock solid defence. Given enough time, I would not be surprised 3-5 years from now to see the Wolves finish top 5 in the Premiership, but ofcourse, that is if he’s not signed to some other team.
He’s such a good manager, motivator and leader that you will probably see more people like me, that normally wouldn’t give a flying f* about Wolves except we follow Ståle, therefor we care. 😉
Welcome to our blog, and thank you for such a glowing endorsement of our manager.
Let’s hope your faith in him is justified, and also you become a lifelong Wolves fan like wot we are.
FOwb
WHAT A MARVELLOUSLY POSITIVE POST ! WELCOME TO THE WOLF PACK ZETTIE ! AND ALL OUR NORWEGIAN FRIENDS ! GREETINGS FROM HOLLAND ! fwaw !
Agree regarding Ståle being somewhat special.
Another great and unexpected win.
Like the post Zettie
A very, very good result.
For those who have said that Wolves have had a “soft” draw, having played the 3 bottom teams, I note that today’s ladder shows that with Wolves lying 3rd, we have also played teams 1,2,4. The other 4 teams played are an even spread between top and bottom, so we have probably had an “average” draw.
Well done Ben and good to have Dave on board. An excellent addition to have individual appraisals.
Delighted as everyone with the win.
When i saw them on Tuesday, i thought they looked like a team who could end up with a particularly good away record which is a great thing to have.
Also, i wondered whether our style would benefit from 5 in midfield; two up front seemed a bit of a luxury, especially as dear old Kevin is not a prolific scorer. I reckon with a Doumbia or O’Hara type in a forward CMF position we could maybe be more dangerous. So i was happy with the line-up yesterday.
Sako is so important now, he will be a huge miss when the African Nations cup starts in Jan. And that applies to Doumbia. We will need some replacements by then, no doubt something our great manager has considered.
Looking forward now to a nice loan signing or two!
doumbia and boukari are affected by possible call up for the ANC but to my knowledge sako plays for france ???
Thanks Harlem, i thought he played for Mali. That’s great news.
19 Points now, remind me. How many points did we finish with last season? How can you not be excited!!!!!!!!!!!
Looking forward to next home game the night match with bolton – bolton and blackburn fans were due a reality check and it could go on for some time.Meanwhile Wolves and Stale continue to go under the radar but that could suit us.
Nice panorama! Did someone get an iphone 5 by any chance!? 🙂
Great result that came completely out of the blue for me. Sako has been a revelation! Stale clearly has an eye for a great player so lets hope for some more re-enforcement’s come january!
I do believe Dave’s phone is a Samsung?! Thomas was showing off his swanky handset to David on a Peterborough terrace, so the latter was not to be outdone and mastered the panoramic function!
I’m getting Dave to file us pics from every game and his player ratings as he never misses a game!
Sony Xperia I think. Its me with Samsung which is far superior to Sony or iphone5! #dualcoreprocessor
A good performance and a great result but it does make me smile how the mood has gone from complete doom and gloom after the Palace game to ‘we’re going to be top 5 in the premiership in a couple of years’.
The truth, as always, lies somewhere between the two.
Ståle is doing a brilliant job with meagre resources but we have to be realistic and not swing from suicidal to ‘bring on Barcelona’ after every win or loss.
But for the moment – : COME ON ME BABBIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Who is this “Barcelona” you talk about???
I think they’re a pub team that play in the Wolverhampton and District Sunday League.
Great result. Never thought we would win. Zetti blog is very interesting. Only problem is, will our board help or hinder stale. If he is ambitious, he will need money. Our board is proven not to be overly generous in fees and wages. Finally we play with 3 in centre midfield. Replace davies with frimpong and that is a very powerful centre midfield. Well done stale and the team.
Yes! I would love Frimpong back, and I second what you say about support. I guess we shall see come January!
Nonetheless, I count this as an excellent 3 points! More please Staale!
Yes, agree with Frimpers coming back. He gives us other options as regards they way we set up and would allow Doumbia to push a little further forward in a 4-2-3-1. I’m hoping we are working on bringing him in as we discuss this.
I’m a little concerned about the percentage of goal scoring chances we are taking along Siggy’s fitness levels. Hoping Doyle will start putting a few away soon.
Also agree with Wolves4ever in that we are not overly generous in fees and wages. We have a LOT of money from transfer fees and parachute payments and the much talked about, “treasure chest”. Just hoping we loosen the purse strings a little and show the boards ambition matches the managers.
Looks like we may have an assistant manager coming in.
Doog, I think if you support Wolves you are going to have swings from ecstacy to despair. I’m up and down like a strumpets drawers depending on our result.
Well who’da thought it after last season!? Great league form – our best ever foreigner in Sako, our new manager proving his worth… Great to be a Wolves fan again! Not sure about the ‘top 2’ shouts though – still think more work needs to be done for that.
Just seen the goal on Wolves Player, and what a stonker it was!
Loved the way he shuffled one step to his left before he shot.
Bostin’ ,our Morris!!!
Highlights Here.
http://www.skysports.com/video/inline/0,,16428_8146474,00.html
It is a tad amusing how fast the sentiment goes from frustration (after loosing one game out of 5) to coronation of a new Messiah after a win in the next match 🙂 That said, approaching the January window as one of the teams favored for promotion should also make a difference in the teams effort to attract the right talent. I realize that money talks when it comes to signing professional footballers, but a combination of money and a reasonable shoot at playing in the prem. should make us more attractive on the transfer market.
Reading the blogs on the fickle nature of Wolves fans after we win makes me smile – where are these comments when we lose ?
On Stale Solbakken the national media will eventually come sniffing because on top of winning football matches he is not Scottish and he speaks much better English.
Not sure I rate Sako as our best ever foreigner, yet.
He’s only played a few games.
Lets see if he lasts a few seasons.
The likes of Dougan, Munro and Bully (he’s from Tipton) spring to mind as best foreigners.
No doubt I’ll get some flak now……bring it on, I got broad shoulders………….and belly!!!
Do NOT like the fact that a certain shit team have had their best top flight start for ever this season. Cannot get me head round the thought of that shower of shite playing in Europe.
FOwb
I know what you mean about the team that we dare not name having such a good start, but it does go to show what can be done on a limited budget if everyone is singing from the same hymn sheet.
They become greater than the sum of their parts (spare parts in their case!).
Clive you are always worth a smile. Thanks for being the highlight on a dull Monday at work!
lets all remember its a long old season!
Top report as always, and the player ratings is a great addition.
I always try and garner these from those that have been to a game to enhance the perspective that I get from tuning in to commentary on Wolves Player or catching a game on tv/stream.
A good workmanlike result. Thing that strikes me is that SS seem to have bought the fire and resolve back.
Not sure what the deal is but I think it would be sensible to get Cassidy back from Tranmere and at least start to blood him in.
I see Mr Hammil has explained why he was not flavor of the month but innocemnt tol proven guilty.
“Somen Tchoyi joins Wolves on trial”
What’s this bollocks?
He was shit for the shit, why on earth would we want him?
Total donkey.
Get rid, or he’ll be a right laffin’ stock as soon as he waddles on to the pitch.
Utter crap.
Even Ward is better than this tosser, and a shit reject to boot.
No way, no how, not never.
Next blog I’ll tell you how I really feel!!
FOwb
Cos hes real cheap
Yes, he is cheap and this frightens the crap out of me but perhaps Stale rates him and thinks he can do a job for us. I just wonder if he is that much better than Zele or Forde. Boukari will be back in a month and that includes an international break.
I guess SS has said is is way short of being match fit.
Scored a few for the shitters in the premier league last couple of seasons. He’s a free agent. We’ve got a bit of an injury crisis going on.
Seems a good move to me.
Players are all mercenaries with no club ties these days anyway. Who he played for last is kind of irrelevant.
He wanted somewhere to train from what I can tell – unless Stale sees something special in him and I don’t think he will we won’t take him! I’m just surprised there’s someone you hate more than Ward! 🙂
I absolutely love that photo of Ståle on the official site, arms raised and celebrating, presumably a goal or the final whistle.
It very much captures the sense of a new team and a newfound confidence imo.
Would love to see it at the top of the blog Thomas!
Just heard about Owen Coyle being sacked at Bolton.
I must admit I never really liked the man, specially the way he walked out on Burnley.
Bolton are in a bit of a state with debts of £110 million. Perhaps there is something to be said for prudent housekeeping after all.
Paper talk puts McDickwadhead in line for Bolton job.
Be great if he gets appointed, and takes Connor with him, and then comes and gets all the backroom staff who are still at the Mol, as well as the injury hex which appears to hang around our dressing room.
All this in time for our next home match, funnily enough, against Bolton.
Night match, lots of atmosphere, and I suspect, a very mixed reception, if he gets the job.
We live in interesting times!!
FOwb
Just heard about Adam Hammill’s arrest in the early hours of Saturday morning for assaulting a paramedic. So for all you people who still keep thinking he’s the next best thing, despite three consecutive Wolves managers fucking him off (if you can call the middle one a manager!), the bloke is clearly a complete and utter nob head! He hasn’t even been getting in the Huddersfield team. Not the kind of bloke I’d want anywhere near our great club.
If this is true it’s just another example of how a lot of today’s footballers piss away their God-given talent. I don’t know whether it’s because they’ve got too much money, too much time on their hands or too few brain cells.
I suspect it’s a combination of all three.
I could get into a quite major rant here
– about most footballers living in a completely different world from the rest of us and thinking they are above the law and can do and say anything… and why do they have to cover their bodies with tattoos, it looks so bloody awful and they’ll all regret it when they are older, it’s just like they have to find something different to waste their money on…. and they’re all on twitter telling people really important things like they’ve just had a good dump or broken a nail or something and slagging other people off and then getting all prissy when someone does it to them…..
I can feel one of my heads coming on, I think I’d better stop now.
Agree with every word mate. Fair play to the majority of our players though, lads like Clives mate, Edwards and Foley who have no doubt earned comparitively big money throughout their 20’s and lived good clean lifestyles. That’s one thing I’d pat MM on the back for, he didn’t tolerate dick heads, unlike previous managers that we’d had.
You’re right of course. There are a good many players who behave like human beings – it’s only the overpaid gits who think they’re God’s gift that we get to hear about. It just makes me so angry that these people, who if they weren’t talented at football would probably end up on the dole or in the nick, are so bloody arrogant.
On another matter, it looks like MM is in the frame for the Bolton job. Could be interesting.
Agree with all, its same in US just cos they have talent and money they think the law doesnt apply. Innocent until proven guitly but why the hell is a pro athlete in that situation anyway. Apparently a female paramedic too. I have a friend who is Paramedic in UK, ex marine I guarantee you he would not have messed with him and not be in plaster.
Hollywood stars who insist on thinking their political opinion is more important than others also piss me of.
NY Wolf were you the geeza I met up at Sunderland with your brother?
Sorry mate, , dont think I have ever been to Sunderland for some reason. I guess he ad sensible views as well.
Cheers
If mick gets the job I wish him the best of luck, just not this season……!
Who’d have thought it, WW, BR, BW all relegated and the three managers( four if we include TC ) have all been sacked. That must be a record even for the PL. I wonder who’ll be next from the teams who just missed the drop, most likely is MH from QPR. I wonder ???…..and the only solvent team from this lot is…..WW. There must be a moral to this story…..
As ever keep the faith, believe in Ståle and UTW !!!!
Love this new ratings feature
I gotta comment on the latest bit of PC/Religious bollocks I just read about.
Newcastle’s new sponsor, Wonga, has got muslims upset that they are a lending/usuary company, quite legit, but it is against sharia law to benefit from lending, blah, blah, blah, so the muslims in the Newcastle team should not wear Wongas logo etc, etc.
If this results in the footballing authorities making a big deal, and trying to appease the muslim community, then I truly think the world has finally gone stark raving mad.
What about appeasing other religions?
Did they make exceptions for Avi Cohen, a jew, ( look him up in your history books ) when he played for Liverpool, on a Saturday, which is their sabbath?
What about Christians?
Thou shall not kill, yet Joey Barton is still allowed on a pitch?
There must be some gay footballers, so what about “Thou shall not covet thy neighbor’s ass”?
Everyone has the right to their own beliefs, just dont tell me I’m wrong if I dont believe the same as you.
This is a definite case of keeping religion where it belongs. Next they’ll be rioting all over the middle east coz of the ” blasphemy “.
Rant over, back to the institution.
Clive, you have hit a very big nail very firmly on its stupid fat head here.
I’ve got some good mates who are regular Muslims and keep their faith to themselves and don’t make a big thing of stupid religious arguments.
The trouble is, there are extreme Muslims who feel that they have been put on this earth solely to be offended and exact revenge on us Infidels. And too many people in power who are too scared to offend any minority because they might not get their votes.
And another thing. I’ve got nothing against gays but, if I were to run a B&B and didn’t feel comfortable about allowing unmarried couples of any sexual persuasion to stay at my gaff, it’s no bloody business of anyone’s to tell me that I have to.
Not too sure what this has got to do about the Wolves but it’s good to get it off your chest.
Do you think some of us should form a breakaway blog for Grumpy old men?
Now that we have Sainsburys and Tescos operating banks does that mean Muslims only shop at ASDA?
Try Netto mate!
“The idea is to protect the vulnerable and the needy from exploitation by the rich and powerful.
“When they are lending and are charging large amounts of interest, it means the poor will have short-term benefit from the loan but long-term difficulty in paying it back because the rate of interest is not something they can keep up with.”
He added: “The Islamic system is based on a non-interest-based system of transaction.”
When you take the time to research the reasons why people object, you see things in a different light. I too object to allowing this company to sit proud on a football shirt. This company does nothing but exploit the most vulnerable in society. Ensnaring them in a cycle of debt and more poverty with extortionate interest rates. I say well done to the MCB for taking a stance. As if we haven’t enough crooks in football has it is trying to make money in suspicious circumstances. (Birmingham City and Glasgow Rangers spring to mind).
Why also do people have to make comparisons between religions and cultures? The Netto remark was nothing short of racist and does it really matter where people choose to shop? I’m sure people regardless of religion or culture have very similar shopping habits.
Who gives a fuck why these people object?
You are missing the point.
Any football club should be allowed to have whatever sponsor they want, as long as the sponsor is not anything illegal, without any politically correct or “you’ll upset the…..fill in the blanks” organization/religion/party.
If you have an objection to a particular club, or sponsor, then dont pay any money to watch or support it.
Simple.
I don’t like American football, I dont complain or object to it, I just dont watch it. Thereby deriving the tv company and hence the advertizers any of my money.
And to bring in the arguement of poor people being exploited….
That happens all over the world, every day.
Everyone has choices, and if they choose to borrow money, then pay it back under the terms on which it was borrowed.
And also dont bring racism into the equation.
Racism is against race, not religion, and whatever the word for religious hatred against other religions is, the muslims started it!!!
Hey fellow Wolves whats the views on the possibility of getting Tchoyi? I suppose he’s always had aspirations of playing for a top team!!!
I hear we may be looking at Frimpong loan deal again?
any updates??
Two no brainers!
The first, no way no how. if he aint good enuff for the shit, he certainly aint good enuff for us!!
The fact that he is worse than Ward is another, lesser reason not to sign him!
The second, every way, every how!
Wish we could sign him permanently.
Fresh of breath air when he came along, and might, just might have kept us in the Prem but for his horrible injury. I would welcome him back with open legs!!!
FOwb
Frimpong, in a heart beat, swagger, confidence and flair plus skill. But I think Wenger wants him in the Prem.
Dont know much about Tchoy as I dont follow them lot but he sounds like something on a Chinese take away menu. I just got to believe we can do better than that. SS says he miles away from match fitness, so I expect he will be starting the next match.
Bit concerend we havent got a coach on board yet, probably Moxey saying no worries take your time and we dont need to be paying him during the break.
Come on me babies, I believe in SS!
