Wolves are the Championship’s box of chocolates.

Nobody – not even Kenny Jackett – has a clue about what you’ll get from this ever changing rabble.
Thankfully this was the sweet, gooey and oh so satisfying performance we needed to devour a pretty ordinary Blues team.
From the delicious moment Paul Robinson imitated the defending of a five year old for Dave Edwards to scoff up the crumbs, you sensed it might be our day.
And for much of the remainder, Wolves happily digested everything Birmingham offered and broke menacingly to threaten.
The home side regrouped either side of the break but never once forced Emiliano Martinez into serious action.

Any concerns that Mike Williamson might be Darren Peacock reborn in a derby debut were also consigned to the rubbish bin, as the on loan Newcastle man marshaled the back four superbly.
No doubt like the rest of us he sees Premier League potential in Dominic Iorfa who enjoyed one of his best defensive performances to date.
The Sky commentator compared the youngster to Usain Bolt as he strode across to clear out Demarai Gray and this was a display of supreme power and athleticism.
Nathan Byrne also caught the eye, consistently drifting in from the touchline and running at the Blues defence. His low centre of gravity is a real asset in those positions.
It was a shame to see him go off, but Sheyi Ojo once again looked infinitely better from the bench than he ever has starting. His well taken goal mercifully prevented a grand stand finish.
A mention too for Conor Coady, the recipient of much criticism in recent weeks, but was always well positioned to block and tackle.
Kevin McDonald was the classiest midfielder on the pitch and flanked by the engine of Edwards and the scrappy Coady, the team suddenly makes a bit more sense.
If only Benik Afobe had been on his game, Wolves would have rattled in a few more. He occupied good positions but continually let himself down, proving that nobody can play well every week.
Grant Holt fulfilled the role you’d imagine he’s destined for, entering the action for the final ten to help see out the contest. He could be a very useful addition.
The composition of the squad certainly looks more balanced with those experienced heads at either end of the pitch.
And like that uplifting moment you realise a box of chocolates has a second layer and the options are suddenly so much more appealing, everyone has rediscovered their appetite.

I do think holt gives an option that was missing anyway. Nice to see Williamson adding to the spine.
If Williamson was KJs personal choice with a strategy to suit then hallelujah..
If anything it showed not only stability and takes pressure off DB but it also showed what experience can do and dare I say it he marshalled the guys and is captain material..
My thoughts on insuring the back are known here but everyone plays differently knowing we haven’t got to score 2 just to draw..
K Mac back to almost his best..Afobe either marked out of the game or KJ had got that tactic wrong perhaps…
Blues were tipped for second place yesterday and we well and truly stuffed them in their back yard..
It’s a pity we don’t get a better league position after this fantastic result..
We need to buy this Williamson bloke if only to stop me jumping in the river if EBL gets on the sheet again..
But I’m vindicated (Brompton!) here.. don’t let goals in and get a couple on the break ..
That’s play off material..
COYW
……… or ……… score a couple of goals, and don’t fail to defend well. Amounts to the same. Pity Afobe did not play well and score as a striker is paid to do . He was not marked out of the game, nor was he played in a wrong position, all I saw was him having a bad game. Great end result, shame we did not score more.
We’re in the play-offs zone in no time if the team can play in such high standard. If we can prolong Williamson’s loan period and we avoid injuries on key players, I’d say we’re one of the two teams which are promoted directly.
Funny ole game football. Couple of days ago we were relegation material. 🙂
Yes. It’s incredible how a couple of experienced players (Edwards, Williamson, and later Holt) can turn things around. Byrne should have started games earlier right after his arrival, in my opinion. It’s a bit early to jump to conclusions yet, but the performance against Birmingham was solid through. We have a good team on paper, and now finally have what fans and the manager have expressed frustration over – the lack of experience.
The question everybody asks themselves are: how good are we, with our newest additions? Was it a day off for Birmingham, or was it Wolves which made them poor?
Are we good enough to beat Hull, Middlesbrough? On paper I’d say we’re on par with the best now, when we’re in our best corner. Sadly we’ve been very up and down, something a healthier blend of youth and experience might cure.
Oh and Dave Edwards if he keeps going could be our player of the season..
Yes apparently a certain Kit Symmonds is watching hm closely. If he gets POTS ( playerof theseason) he will be sold by Moxey.
Well the Muppet hierarchy decided we could prosper just with youth so sold rickets and stearman . Results and performances proved what any footballing person knew ; we couldn’t . So back to experience and what a difference .
All teams need it , need a general ,need know how . Pity we don’t now also have it in the boardroom
This is from Benik Afobe this morning.
Give me an honest, upfront player any day.
“Not one of my better games today but great team performance. Back to winning ways in the local derby”
Personally, Holt looks like it will take until January to get fit! ” He’s a big lad” I think he’s found Moxey’s pie stash.
Just more of the same please Wolves. Heart, commitment, communicating & organising at the back.
Not seen that consistently this season. We still concede too much space at times. And would find it tougher against teams who don’t just rely on force & power up front.
Byrne played very well but I was amazed by how well Ojo did, Jeckyll & Hyde this guy because for his cameo yesterday afternoon in the sun he was like the ghost of Sako reborn.
Edwards in the hole is to the manor born. Dangerous does it yet again. My Blues mates after the game were amazed that he split opinion in the ranks of Wolves fans! They would have him in their side in a blink of an eye.
What a plan getting Williamson seems at this point in time! Great start from our much needed reinforcement.
If we can show the same heart & commitment over the rest of the season then it really will be onwards & upwards
Williamson’s strengths appear to be without the ball – organising, cajoling, getting physical with the opposition strikers. But I was surprised he got MOTM as I felt Edwards and Golbourne both had outstanding games. As for Afobe, he seems to lurch between delightful and disappointing, sometimes in the same game. Ojo needs to understand that if he stays on his feet he can do a lot more damage than just winning free-kicks in the last third. Great result which showed that if we stick to what we do best – protect the defence, counter at speed – we can beat anybody away from home.
La David de dangereux!!!
My ambition, a bit sad I know but when you’ve achieved what I have in life there’s very little left to do (LOL), is to get everybody on this blog to admit that Dave Edwards is an integral and irreplaceable cog in the machine that is a successful Wolves team.
Another great display capped by another pivotal goal scoring moment. That wasn’t just on a plate either, he had to thread it between a couple of defenders.
And the young lad Williamson looks a good one for the future too.
What can you say about our form apart from – it goes up and down like a bride’s nightie.
Yesterday it was hoicked up round the waist… most satisfying.
I hear that the Chuckle Brothers are going to switch on the Wolverhampton Christmas lights.
I can’t bring myself to make the obvious comment.
…Can anyone else?
You’re preaching to the converted. Dave in the hole in a 4411. Its his best position.
I’m with you on Dangerous Dave DG and always have been. Talk about ‘football brain’. He’s seems to know where the ball is going seconds before anyone else and thus is in the right place at the right time so often.
Well the Dave Edwards supporters, like me, are responding to your call DGer, but what about the grumpy ones?! Not sure about his French sex change, though.
No, French was never my strong point. Did German at school.
I’ve forgotten most of that now as well.
It’s something like – Der gefahrliche Dave!
Doesn’t sound so good.
Fantastic performance, in Kenny I still trust!
Lets have more of the same at Bristol City there’s never been any dout we have some talented players it just getting them to gel. Coady certainly had a better game but I still think Price complements McDonald better.
One worry thing I noticed was Afobe’s body language didn’t look good he looked agitated and frustrated lets hope he was just angry with himself for having a off day although he didn’t do much wrong to be fair.
Lets have some consistency now both in selections and performance’s chopping and changing all the time only disrupts the team.
Hi Box Carr,
If Stu Wolf’s comment above re Afobe’s Tweet is anything to go by, it is the latter.
Let’s hope he regains his touch at Ashton Gate on Tuesday.
COMBs!
Wokingham Wife and Boxer dogs Willie.
Comment taken from this mornings Wolves official site, the lad held his hands up and blamed himself. Fair play to the guy.
In the Birmingham Mail Gary Rowett said the result would have been different if the referee had given the fouls against Donaldson!!
From what I saw Donaldson was giving as much as he was receiving and took every opportunity to collapse in a heap when he was beaten by the better player.
Williamson had a superb game and kept Donaldson under control the entire game, nice to see a Wolves defender doing that again.
Can I nominate Donaldson for an oscar?
Sky commentators thought the ref got it right in letting play continue when it was both players getting stuck in. And KJ could just as easily have complained about some robust, unpunished tackles. Sour grapes Mr R.
Driving 600 miles in horrendous thundery tornado spawning weather is NOT my idea of fun.
Why then did I smile through most of it?
Chelsea lost, at home, again
Leeds lost, again
Leicester won at sandwell crem
And of course, the biggest result of the day, from small heath!!
Nothing like a Wolves away win, no matter how badly the previous few results, especially in a derby game.
Listen to the music from Doogle’s Bloggers Ball video……..Perfect Day!!
Smiles all round, three easy points in midweek, and we’ll all be happy campers again!
FO wb
I’ll eat humble pie re dangerous Dave…
Have to say, also, how well Coady played.
Shades of Mike Bailey and Colin Cameron.
From yesterday’s performance, let’s hope we keep Williamson for more than a month.
Great goal from not so slow, Ojo
1 swallow does not a summer make
Don’t count your chickens before youv’e got two in a bush and a bird in the hand is worth her weight in Gold.
Seriously though,
Williamson had a great first game, what a script, Blouses, the team that was setting light to stats ( Gary Rowett has amassed the same amount of points as Wolves had last season since taking over last season) pretty impressive reading. But like Williamson’s lack of games and match fitness it all accounts for naff all in Wolvess World. We stand stats on their head in this topsy turvey World of ours, obviously I predicted 2-0 so I saw it coming all along, (my arse).
After a conversation with Steve Showercubicle last night I want to throw a huge spanner in the works, but reading some of the newspaper quotes and bloggers comments on here perhaps it’s not so controversial after all.
Danny Batth…….
He spent the whole afternoon pulling players necks, pushing in the goal mouth lunging into imaginary tackles and constantly attempting McDonald style long balls to no avail. Now Iv’e watched him for a while and he is worrying me, he was highlighted on the Sky match yesterday confirming my concerns. He does not follow the ball, he looks at the player contantly which puts him half a second of the pace if the player makes a break. In the pre match huddle it was McDonald doing the pep talk, on fouls against us it’s McDonald chasing after the ref while Danny chases tackles.
Has Kenny spotted this in Williamson?
1 match does not make a champion defender but he had a solid game and as pointed out above he was doing most of the talking from the back as opposed to his actual football contribution. I know Batth has a defender inside him, we’ve seen it, but maybe and just maybe not at this level under the stress we found ourselves in recently. I think and it is My Opinion only that Danny would shine again relieved of the heavy armband tied around his neck as a millstone.
These are just thoughts from my observations of DB, nothing I didn’t say at the end of last season, Kenny has accepted we need experience, he came out and said so and put his money where his mouth was by bringing in Williamson and Holt, also his first name on the teamsheet is the other oldest player on the pitch, Dangerous.
Anyone who recorded the game, watch it again and see if I’m not right, I am certainly not a DH hater, but he is worrying.
Anyone else coming to Bristol City with me.
If Williamson is doing the talking that’s fine, but I’d hesitate to make him captain so soon; remember the trouble caused when a certain Roger Johnson was brought in and made captain.
Great to see us win well, and hopefully Ofobe will start scoring again soon. We’ll thrash Bristol City.
At last. All season long every Wolves football man and his dog has identified the absolute need for experience at the back. What a huge difference Williamson made. The confidence of those young defenders around him grew visibly as the game progressed, and we actually looked solid as a unit. N`castle supporters may not consider Williamson Premiership class, but on this form he is certainly good enough to help us realize our ambitions in the Championship
To me this smacked of basics. Having a commanding experienced centre half organising and playing people in there correct position. For me Dangerous Dave is great in that position behind the striker why he gets shunted out wide I don’t know. Coady looked a class act when he first came then went off the rails. I’m hoping he can find the form he showed early on. I also liked how byrne ran at people and caused problems. I’d like to see Magic Mike signed till the end of the season as what he brings is what we desperately need. Afobe had an off day for sure but I think he has genuine class.
As for the prediction league if I were a betting man I’d be homeless with just a pair of pants to my name. Never mind, where I finish is unimportant it’s all about where wolves finish. Come on lads keep going.
Good performance and 3 valuable points. Williamson; one game is far too early to pass any form of judgement but he looks the business and our youngsters will learn a lot from him. Organises, a bit of a leader so why oh why didn’t we bring someone like him in before. Alternatively, why get rid of Steersy? We could be 8 or 9 points better off now. I think Williamson will keep out one of the youngsters, even when they are fit an available and I’ve no gripe with that on yesterdays performance. Byrne looked like he could be useful and I hope he is encouraged to run at opposing defences. I want someone who will excite me. Henry is best on the right and Afobe was disappointing. Fair enough if he held his hand up. Not sure about Grant Holt – he’ll biff and bosh and bash and he will also deny young Bright game time.
Now for a bit of consistency, starting with selection.
Great performance all round,I was a bit unsure when I heard KJ’s team selections, but it worked out well.
Did we play well or did the blouses have a off day not bothered either way 3 points is all that counts when you’ve lost the last three games.
It sounds like that bit of experience at the back in Williamson is whats been required for a long time Imo,let’s hope we can extend his stay beyond a month if that’s possible.
Onward and upwards that’s the remit.UTW..
Saw the game on the tele’ so I only see what the TV man showed me. And on several occasions he showed me Williamson organising, cajoling and generally sorting out our defense. On the pitch, where it counts. Result? A really solid defensive performance which the midfield and forwards could use as a launchpad for our pacey counter attacks. Impressive start for Mike, and I was really pleased for him after reading many disparaging comments from Newcastle fans.
Nathan Byrne (or Bernie the Bolt as I shall call him from here on) impressed me against Boro and really impressed me against Brum. Exciting to watch and effective too. Definitely my kind of player. Edwards, Iorfa and McDonald played great and, unusually, Afobe was the only weak link. Wouldn’t drop him just yet though Kenny.
Fab couple of hours in the boozer and walked home with a massive grin on my face. Same again against Bristol please lads.
Great performance, great result and nuts to Gary Rowetts moans about how Donaldson was handled by Williamson and Batth. What a whinger. Donaldson seemed to go to ground like a sack of sh&t every time he got near the ball. Yesterday was a masterclass performance and one we must replicate on Tues.
Well pleased with steady Mike and just the sort of experience most of us bloggers craved for.
Special mention to DDave … His goal was cleverly dispatched between two Blues defenders … used his nous and passed it into the net … Get in!
So onto Bristol City and another 3 points … So sad to hear Pulis moaning over the refs decisions … as if ….what an ar&e.. Nothing new there then.
Everyone is purring over Williamson and the difference he made, and rightly so, but you know Hause will come straight back in when fit, when everyone can see what is needed is a bit of experience. I’ve always said Edwards only works well in that position. I love the bloke but he’s not good enough to play centre midfield or on either flank but behind the striker he can link up, hassle and harry, and of course get into those scoring he positions he does so well. Hopefully we can stick with this system – and get Price in the team.
I thought everyone had 7 or 8 out of 10 performance. Williamson, Byrne, coady and Edwards all had particularly good games. From what I’ve seen so far Middlesbrough and Derby have that extra bit of quality but wolves and most of the rest of the league are much of a muchness. Barring investment in the January window, which is unlikely unless ownership of the club is resolved quickly, I think optimistically we will be hoping to clinch 6th place in the play offs. Realistically I think we will yo yo between mid table and the edge of the play offs but confidence is key and the experience of Williamson and holt could propel us beyond this. As I left St. Andrews yesterday my overriding feeling was why the hell have we wasted the first quarter of the season to resolve the issue of experience identified by the vast majority of fans at the end of last season? For me, the inescapable conclusion is piss poor leadership by Morgan and the board, thank god he has “nearly ” gone for good and they will surely follow soon after. I hope I leave Ashton gate equally optimistic, if so, we may genuinely be starting to get our season on a reasonable footing.
KJ also recognised the need for experienced ‘older heads’ to guide/help/mentor our young bloods. Unfortunately in the run up to the transfer window there was a serious difference of opinion between KJ and Steve Morgan. SM wanted to bet the house on ‘young and hungry’ (his academy investment) – KJ saw the need for some older heads to pump prime a championship challenge. That’s why, as you rightly say, WWFC wasted the first quarter of the season to resolve the issue of experience.
I’m somewhat baffled by the canonisation, or should I say deification of Richard Stearman. When he went on loan to join Uncle Mick nary a voice was heard. When he was sold to Fulham the roof nearly came off. He sweated and worked his socks off, and would have died for the shirt. On the negative side when he got out out of position (far too often) he put the whole defence under pressure, often leading to a goal. Selling him was a calculated risk. Next year (like Sako) he would be a free agent – a reasonable fee now would be a bonus – particularly if our youngsters could step up to the plate. It was a gamble but probably a wrong call. Against Fulham and Huddersfield the defence looked very solid, and also against M’boro until Hause’s departure.
I’ve always thought that putting captaincy and leadership on Batth’s shoulders was a mistake. He’s a solid defensive performer but still learning the game.
Should Williamson in the next few games tighten up the back four then we can look forward to the second half of the season with confidence. This side is not far short of the full shilling.
Brilliant day in Brum. Victory. Blues didn’t create a worthwhile chance. Wolves dominant. The ex s**t bag defender making an arse of himself at last. Gorgeous weather. Incident free walk from ground to New Street included stop off in Henneyseys bar digbeth for a couple of jars. Great day. No morons to spoil it and a top result. WANKY WANKY WANKY WANKY WANDERERS!
Edwards is undoubtedly Lampardesque so he could be ghosting into the box for a few more years yet. Whatever Newcastle think of Williamson he was the right tonic for us yesterday. It just worries me that if it hadn’t been for the injury to KH we maybe wouldn’t have him.
Can’t quite decide about Grant Holt and the fact that we “swooped” to sign him when he couldn’t get into a Div 1 side makes me titter a little but it might be what he brings to the dressing room that counts.
He certainly looked a class act at Norwich with some of his lay offs.
Good win lads, defended well havnt said that in a while, nice to see us sharing the goalscoring, not relying on afobe, williamson played well controlling the back four barking out orders.
Holt I think might be a shrewd signing he won’t start but nice to bring on when needed to hold up play and bring others in to it, bring on Bristol city another 3 points, cmon the wolves.
Ben/Thomas,
Has the Prediction League update been put on hold? Not that I am expecting to be challenging anytime soon, but just interested.
Ben and Thomas have real jobs, and each has a life, unlike certain M62 tent dwellers, so be patient, young Brompto Gonzalez.
Guess that’s me told then!!!!!
Back to normal – Gonzales has left the building.
Interesting fact.
Just been up to get tickets for me and Stevie showcase for Ipshite, the staff at the Mol were saying how Danny Batth has lost the plot on the pitch.
Roll on Tomorrow, getting the shakes from the withdrawl.
Watched the game here in rural Cotswolds at home of Small Heath fanatic so Wolves display doubly satisfying. If a telly supporter is allowed comment I would like to add to or echo comments above. Seems like Klopp had given the pre-match chat – must be on account of SM’s Liverpool connection: so willing were the lads to press and harass and win the second ball before launching lightening counter attacks.
At last an organiser in our back four for first time since Ricketts prematurely disposed of. Williamson is quoted as saying he’d like to stay – seems like no-brainer to hang on to him so I expect he’ll be sent back to the Geordie land by the holder of the purse srtings.
Byrne is an exciting prospect with the confidence and ability to run at defenders.
OK Afobe not at his best as he admits, but he never hid and was willing to make the runs that created space as well as turning up in defense to make important clearances. I also believe he needs balls he can run onto – too often he receives passes when he has his back to goal.
Grant Holt at first sight not a great signing but could contribute late in games by ability to hold on to ball and buy time and stop Wolves turning victories into defeats
All round excellent performance from entire squad. So a little light at the end of the tunnel – hopefully not the Bristol express coming towards us.
I echo all the good stuff on here about Williamson – hope he can keep that going and then have his loan extended. Unlike some loan players we’ve had, he seems genuinely committed to the cause. Cool stuff from Dangerous, and Byrne responding to getting another start. I like to think we stopped Brum playing because we were on them as soon as they had the ball and counter-attacked too quickly for them. Holt is a hefty bloke, eh?! But soon after coming on he did a lovely header on, holding off the defender on his back. Not entirely unlike our own SE-B – particularly in their backside dimensions, always vital for a back to the goal striker. Let’s hope Stu’s swallow in the bush of the girl in his hand stays around and the season takes a real, sustained turn for the better.
Well I forecast 3-1 to us and said it’s high time to prove, what I already know, that we’re a much better team than Birmingham.
In despatches I would give very favourable mention to Williamson, Byrne, Edwards, McDonald, Golbourne and Henry amongst others. I was disappointed with Batth and Afobe.
I think Holt can do a job for us. He’s not fresh legs but he will make up for this in experience, hustle and bustle. From my perch (on TV) I thought he very cleverly raised a leg to allow Ojo’s shot through on goal. It may have unsighted the Brummie keeper. Definitely the work of a seasoned old pro! He can be our fox in the box.
I thought it was a completely mistimed attempt to prod it home actually. But on reflection, I must prefer your version.
Delete ‘must’. Insert ‘much’. Sorry all.
You could be right Wolfstroker, but my instant reaction was that Holt distracted the keeper with his step over. Obviously this is the preferable version compared to an air-kick! Mind you, even an air-kick might have distracted the keeper!
Now obviously as we all know I have long been Dave Edwards’s biggest fan – StuWolf is now hassling me for a whole bleeding bottle of Smirnoff Gold, thought it was a large one not a whole effing bottle! – and so I reckon the line up for Bristol City should be as follows;
Ikeme
Edwards, Edwards, Williamson, Edwards
Edwards, Edwards, Edwards, Edwards
Afobe, Edwards
Subs; Edwards, Edwards, Price, Edwards, Edwards, Ojo and err oh yes, Edwards
With all due apologies to Monty Python’s wonderful ‘spam’ sketch.
………. And you are going to change your handle to Bedwards Wolf too no doubt?
The title Dangerous Dave is so apt. How can you leave him out of the side, if he scores goals that can win games. I was not knocking Afobe when I said he did not play that well, but when you have Dangerous Dave on the pitch, he can counter that.
I am so looking forward to our game tomorrow. Another 3 points and we will be really ready for Burnley on Saturday.
I could just settle for renaming myself Incredibly Dangerous Dave as I am called Dave and I am both dangerous and incredibly.
Halleluja, halleluja, halleluja.
We have a convert, forget the bottle of Smirnoff I will sttle for a coffee when we meet next.
Wolves has
D a rush on tickets this morning, Bristol City almost sold out their home allocation and Wolves have anout 150 is tickets left.
The twelth
.. and the welsh squad
Edwards the keeper
Edwards the defender, Edwards the other defender, Edwards the defenders brother, Edwards the defenders son
Edwards the midfielder, Edwards the other midfielder, Edwards the sheep sh****er, Edwards aka dangerous dave
Edwards the striker and Jones the baker
You forgot Edwards the Confessor.
This is getting very silly.
I wish I were a lumberjack.
I used to be a lumberjack and I was ok, I slept all night and I worked all day.
I chop down trees and eat my food, wear suspenders and a bra.
I wish could be a woman just like my dear mama
Shirley knot
When I was a lumberjack I used to have to get up at half past five, seven hours before I went to bed, work 32 hours a day and have to pay the forest owner to work for him…………….talking of lumberjacks these two Irish Albion fans were lumberjacks and looking for work when they saw a sign that said ‘tree fellers wanted’ and one turned to the other and said “just our luck, there’s only two of us”.
Swinging from tree to tree I would sing sing sing…
The twelth man will see us over the line.
I see a high score tomorrow.
Seriously though, if I may interrupt your revelry for a moment, it could be that Afobe is actually assisting Dangerous in his goalscoring feats.
If you’re the opposition manager, who do you point out as our main threat up front. Benik is my best guess, so the defenders will tend to focus, albeit subconsciously perhaps, on him at the expense of leaving those little gaps for our current new hero to ghost into.
Well, that’s my theory and I’m sticking to it.
I give up trying to work this team out! All the qualities required to be a play off contender were evident – guts, aggression, passion, organisation and speed on the break. We haven’t seen all of these together in one game this season. So what has changed? I don’t want to over play the benefit of experience but our loanee centre half had a terrific game with what he did but more importantly what he said – you could see he was encouraging and organising the back four all the time. Danny benefited greatly in my view as it seemed to lift the pressure off him – his distribution is still shit though! Iorfa looked like the class player he is and Golbourne had a new lease of life. KMac was different class, Byrne looked a handful, still not convinced Coady is better than Price and Dangerous…….majestic
Villa bottom of the league, if only we can get the shite there.
oh happy day
Always disliked Villa and their pretend fans round here. Brilliant if they go down. Halesowen will be desolate…
Alternatively, though maybe not as much fun, we need 4 W Mids in the Prem, shifting the focus from London and the NW. We just need to be 10 places above the other three!
I would truly settle for the spot above Boringmouth. Flipping the bird to Eddie Howl.
what a great few days.
A good result from our Jekyll and Hyde team. Who knows who will turn up at Bristol City – Mr Jekyll or Mr Hyde?
Apart from Benik, who looked lethargic, a good all round performance.
