I don’t know what was more galling – not scoring the second goal or conceding a very soft one.
Those drifting crosses that sneak in at the far post always taste horrible on the way down, but if Costa or Jota had taken care of business at the other end it wouldn’t have mattered.

It’s harsh to single out Costa who enjoyed a splendid game and caused Arsenal all sorts of grief, but his lack of end product was again expensive.
Similarly Jota who would have attacked that inch perfect lay off from Jimenez with greater ferocity last season when confidence was in abundance.
Credit Bernd Leno in the Arsenal goal for smothering both of the above and Adama Traore’s late surge, but one of those should have found the mark.
That doesn’t even factor in the splendid Gibbs-White effort, which capped a textbook ‘what if’ performance.
Still, so much to feel good about again in the overall showing. Wolves were for periods, not only competing, but the better side in a contest against one of the big six.
All the positive aspects of our performances a month ago were on display, most notably winning back possession in the opposition’s defensive third and overloading down the flanks to create openings.
Cavaleiro’s splendidly worked opener was a byproduct of both and unlike his colleagues he produced a finish every bit as incisive as the build-up play.
Why he’s continually hooked with half an hour to go is anyone’s guess. He is now statistically our most potent player by some distance if we’re talking ratio of goals to minutes. I’d give him more minutes myself.
Jimenez really thrived in the end-to-end environment and aside from his cute lay-offs to Cavaleiro for the goal and Jota for what should have been a second, his all round contribution was superb.
If we’re being hyper-critical I thought the midfield could have used the ball more intelligently at times, particularly in the second half and various others were guilty of turning over possession far too cheaply.
We were strong at the back again after looking iffy against Spurs. Despite Arsenal inevitably sweeping through on one or two occasions and Aubameyang’s horror miss, we couldn’t have expected much better.
It’s perhaps overly simplistic to repeat the point but the only thing missing really is the finish. Goals will reward defensively sound performances like these and bail us out when we aren’t quite as measly at the back.
Still, you’ve got to play well to beat Wolves these days and that applies to everyone, which is still more than enough for me.

To come away from the Emirates feeling disappointed that we didn’t get all three points is a measure of how far we have come.
For long periods of this game a neutral would have thought we were at home and were the “top six” team.
And as a commentator put it, the Arsenal fans were so respectful of the minute’s silence, they kept it up for 90 minutes!
I just love Jimenez.
He was immense today, with his work rate, speed and all round performance, but also great to see The Cav smile again!
We can’t say we was robbed, but we deserved the win, and perhaps the Prem will finally sit up and realize that very soon someone is going to get a tonking.
It pissed me off when the commentators were saying Arsenal were not playing well.
We didn’t let them!
Bog eyed Ozil the Orc taken off for being useless.
Great fun.
More shots and more on target than them, and although they had 70 plus percent of possession, they passed backwards and sideways so much, I thought Henry the crab had signed for them!
Proud, yet again, to be a Wolves fan today.
Hi Clive. It was a great game. Yes disappointing to loose 2 points when we really deserved all3. I am proud how of they played and how they are keeping up with the big teams. Andrew and I enjoyed watching the game with you in Houston.
Another great Wolves fan we have met in Texas!
Great to meet up with you both yesterday.
Welcome to the blog, enjoy all the banter, it’s all good stuff, and a lot of good people on here.
FOwb
Although I’m lamenting a draw.. it’s a point I’d have taken at the outset, especially away from home against a team unbeaten in 14 and a top five marque club.
BUT here’s the rub .. it’s so galling to be acknowledged as being unlucky not to have won by a bigger margin…quote from Ian Wright… and that we were by far the better team.
I’m so proud to be a Wolves fan and see this point as a turn in fortunes when now we have a couple of very winnable games coming up.
How I’m loving the present and how I am looking forward to a future of top 6’s and European dreams, which Fosun have every intention of fulfilling ….
I’ll bet Bedders is the more happy following the Bedders family experience today… am I right Bedders or am I right..?
Just awesome…. COYW
I think our friend from Houston summed it up perfectly. Agree 100% on all points. We have come a very long way and have so much further ahead. Very exciting and a great display and result.
Go Wolves!
I did say I could feel a result here
and listening to wolves live I thought we had done it until I heard’ oh no’ …
lucky lucky f****+g Arsenal..I’m disgusted that a cross can be left to get over the line for a goal ..we just can’t f##k up like this ……It was a true case of 2 points lost..
What a waste…we could of been celebrating big time..
Your comment is being disliked more than liked because you are only seeing the negatvies Stevie lad. We are a year ahead of our plan, we are not yet the finished article, and we have got a point from Man Utd, Man City and Arsenal. Definitely points gained and not lost in my opinion. We were AWESOME yesterday. Patricio was anticipating someone getting their head on their cross when it dropped behind and in. I felt proud of them all. Cant wait to see what we do next season when we will be fully established.
Spot on Brompto baby!
I too thought we were awesome incidentally but it was 4 mins to go.. I was just pissed off..
It was a fantastic performance
and one that would of caused huge waves in the media if we would of won..
Too close to the whistle for me but perhaps we should of put the 2 in we missed..
Toare was amazing..
Not just two mate, we could have scored three or four. It will come.
Painfull not to get 3 points especially with those two glorious chances in injury time! But it is what it is. I think it is only a matter of time before we slaughter someone. However we have to think that today was two points dropped!
Mr Southgate, if there is a better English central defended than Coady, please name him. Today he was simply awesome.
Then there is Bennett. The man was again a colossus. Rock like. His determination, and outright commitment a joy to watch. And to think we got him for free, with Norwich fans mocking us because they said he couldn`t play.
Up front Jimenez was imperious. His work rate phenomenal. His vision outstanding. His ability to lay off the ball with inch perfect passes, even when under pressure, just brilliant.
But after a performance like todays, its probably unfair to single out individuals. After all football is a team game, and today, yet again we were a real disciplined team with every member playing his part to the full. Of this we can be truly proud. Thank you Nuno
The only Premier League game that wasn’t televised. In Canada today so annoying
I arrange my clinic hours around Wolves schedule
Should definitely have had the three points today
I was convinced for a split second that MGW’s shot had crossed the line. Leno is a quality keeper and Arsenal are lucky people.
Just got in, had an amazing day down the Arsenal, couldn’t find Bedder’s dad’s brick but had fun searching with Brompton, Mr & Mrs Lowves. Met so many mates all around the ground today that I almost missed the minutes silence which was done with great dignity.
What a funkin game, what a miss Costa, what a miss Traore, what a miss Jota and what a pearler of a shot MGW, I felt the bar vibrate from where I was standing.
As Brompton said, time and time again on the way home (because it was bloody true) “Arsenal were luckyto get a point at their own ground”.
Nuno got it right, the team got it right and the 11th man got the most amazing entertainment, (they have a tv screen every 5 metres hanging from theroof all round the terraces). A great set up, a great ground, shit fans and a great result for us today. Well deserved.
I hate these bloody Internstional incumberences.
To the death, never gave up, never surrendered.

Slept like a log, dreaming the whole 90 minutes. Fantastic company, fantastic journey and fantastic performance. Proud of our boys is an understatement. See you at the Huddersfield game mate. Hugs to Jen.
Hey Stu,
How could we be prouder?
This season feels so different .
I’m still coming back from the US at Xmas and looking to bring my old man to molineux for Liverpool.
You suggested a while back contacting Laurie , I am desperate now for tickets as I’ve flights etc booked.
Do you or anyone know his email?
Any help would be really appreciated . Thanks
Or if anyone is looking to sell two tickets , I don’t mind paying whatever ,it would mean so much to him ,as he hasn’t been in 40 years and he is living in ireland .
Raydewolf
Contact me on :-teamsasha@blueyonder.co.uk
Give me all your details:- when, where, who, ages and how many, they have 20 tickets allocated per game.
Stu
Told yer we’d get a point! What a bunch of lads, so pleased for them and Nuno, they executed his plan almost perfectly today.
Decent run of games coming up now, Cav’s starting to warm up, plenty of reasons to hope for a happy November.
UTW
Lord twix sums up this up perfectly
I knew a Kiwitwix from New Zealand once, didn’t like football but soon got into Wolves along with the whole wide World.
I knew a Laura too, lovely lady, once lived in England I think.
🙁 🙂 🙁
“And it’s hi ho Wolverhampton”
The lovely Laura is bringing the wolves to NZ increasing the fan base ?
I said I was going to sit on the fence and was desperate not to fall off too hard. At the end I was bitterly disappointed to have stayed on. It would have been worth a few bruises falling off that fence if one of those last three chances had gone in.
Brilliant performance from the team and Nuno got it right again.
To look on the bright side got my 1st 3 points in the PL this season.
If we’re being hyper-critical I thought the midfield could have used the ball more intelligently at times, particularly in the second half and various others were guilty of turning over possession far too cheaply.
We were “POOR” by our new high standards in that second half. We would possibly be at least 6 points better off if we had that bloody striker that most of us wanted. Man Cit have loads of capable goal scorers but Aguero is the main man and, that’s what we need.
We will have to pay big money but we need a proven finisher or even 2 in January.
Off soap box now. We have come a million miles but have another million to go we have the money so let’s get the job done and be a “Big Four Team” before I fall off the mortal coil.
A hell of a result. I have to admit that I didn’t see us getting anything.
I’m going to be harsh on Patricio and suggest an international goalkeeper shouldn’t be beaten from that range and angle. If we’d taken our chances throughout the season where might we be now?
There are so many positives and I’m beginning to think we are capable of getting something anywhere.
I listened to the match via the Wolves app. I have one of those fit-bit type watches that monitors various body activities. Well my heart rate went from around 68 up to 98 at one point. Towards the end I nearly stopped listening, I didn’t think my heart could take it! 🙂
Another brilliant performance from a brilliant set of players.
I am so proud of my Wolves
🙂
Onward’s & Upwards
I hope this comes off, scroll down and listen to Ian Wright’s take on his beloved Aeprsenal’s performance.
I love this blog and every single person deserves to express their opinion or view of the game they watched, listened to or saw life. I was there yesterday and I think I must have been sitting nextto Wrighty, (never realised, bugger)
https://tbrfootball.com/hope-mr-southgate-is-watching-some-wolves-fans-react-to-conor-coadys-resolute-arsenal-performance/
This is the video I got my info from mate..
At least he had to good grace to acknowledge our performance…
So proud to be a Wolves fan . How we didn’t win is unbelievable . We had a game plan and stuck to it .
I said before the game there were selection issues but in Nuno we trust and boy he didn’t let us down . We made the Gunners look very average at best and just wished we could of buried those chances ! Andre Silver in January anyone ?
This was a well-nigh perfect display of counter attacking football by an away team up against supposedly superior opposition. When we’ve just out played a top six side and their keeper was MOTM, that says it all. We’re creating enough chances to average another goal a game, and what a difference that would make to our league position!
The goals will come when this team really finds it’s rhythm. Even if we sign an experienced and clinical striker in January, who do we drop? My guess is that we will sign such a striker to give us added strength and options. In the meantime MGW must get more playing time, but at whose expense? He was brought on at 85 minutes I think and nearly scored an absolute cracker. Had he started earlier he might even have emulated the teenage Wayne Rooney’s explosive first appearance against Arsenal.
Great game to watch, our lads did us proud…again.
Special mention to our back three who have started to get some criticism over our recent losing run, THEY WERE IMMENSE! Bennett must be black and blue this morning the amount of times he put his body on the line. As stated in the Mail report this morning Coady yet again played so well it’s only a matter of time before he gets an England call up. Boly was Boly oozing class.
The whole team and subs to a man made us very proud
Looking for Bedders dad’s brick with Stuwolf and Brompton (an impossible task, there were thousands), I came across one that made me laugh, it simply said “John…he loved tinned pineapple” some epitaph eh?
Another mention for the Phantom Farter please don’t come and stand close to us at the match after eating two tins of Kennomeat and washing it down with 10 pints of Bank’s mild. I thought the drains were playing up!!!
Sorry Ken, I thought I was down wind.
Your pong permeates 360 degrees!
They normally blame the fat chap but I was 3000 miles away & surely a fart cannot travel that far, that fast?
In the words of shaggy “it wasn’t me!”
PS I sincerely wish they sold Banks’s over here cus the beer is sh1te
Travelling back to Ipswich on the train, a disappointed Arsenal fan gave me his views on what he considered a poor match, which he would forget tomorrow… Absolutely no credit to our players. To be fair other Gunners’ fans didn’t see it that way.
I think we are owed a little bit of luck this season so I hope things even out over the season.
Sitting in a corporate Arsenal section, my son and I were determined not to react too provocatively with regard to any good play we could muster, but as the opening goal went in right in front of us, we both stood up punching the air and yelling only to be joined by a couple of other Wolvies just along from us in the corner upper tier.
Being behind the Arsenal equaliser, I feel I can say that Patricio stood no chance with that cross, which should have been met by someone’s head.
Great team performance, which could be improved and will be, no doubt, with some better passing from midfield at times.
What a wonderful provider Jimenez is; if only he was more able to finish more regularly. IMO we do need, as we all know, the twenty plus goals a season guy to take the pressure off our young lads. If we can get one, which won’t be easy as we cannot provide European competition as yet, I think our all round ability to finish would improve radically.
Great day out; thanks for the effort, lads!
Watched the game in a Cape Verde sports bar. A lone Wolf amongst a sea of Manc’s & Arse’s.
When our goal went in I was the only one celebrating & even my farther in-law ( Vile supporter) said “great goal” but I think he immediately regretted it.
Only getting one point is a disappointment but as said above, please let’s not get ahead of our station – we are well in advance of Fusons project schedule & playing THE BEST football I’ve ever witnessed bar none.
I think to a man everyone with a connection to Wolves in the Emirates yesterday deserved a medal, but a distinguished cross should to levied to Sir Bennett of the Right Side, people called for him to be dropped last week but what a display yesterday. I believe he’s having a zip fitted to his shorts to make it easier to keep Abamyang & Lacazette in his pockets. A truely wonderful defensive display against some sustained pressure.
So pleased that we have a manager that will not compromise in his style of play & we are going to do a Bolton/Leeds very soon (personnally hope it’s against Colin with no formal hand-shake again!)
Proud to be Wolves & so greatful for both the changes & application of my/our beloved Wolves since the arrival of Fuson.
PS, lets all agree that Nuno knows best & let’s leave him alone to do what he does best.
FWAW
In my opinion Ryan Bennett is the best value signing we have made in the Fosun era. How we managed to get such a magnificent defender on a free is mind blowing. The ultra reliable colossus at the back that every successful team must have
Hiya Mike,
If you remember we signed Ryan Bennett just after Paul Lambert had left. I for one was convinced it was surely only down to Lambos connection at Norwich.
However, I’d suggest Kevin Thirlwell & his team should take a bow.
I think it was a fee of £2.5m and I wasn’t convinced with the signing at the time.
Now I think it’s an absolute snip.
With Nuno continuing to pick him with Dendoncker on the bench, it’s clear Nuno has his favoured starting 11
That said, I cannot take anything away from either Coady or Boly as they showed again yesterday, but so pleased Ryan got the nod & proved his worth to any doubters once again.
If I remember correct, we got him on a free. Much to the amusement of many Norwich fans who thought they were still getting a good deal.
Grrrrr ! Aaaaaagh! So near and yet so far…!
Difficult to be critical of such an excellent display and great result, but as Thomas pointed out we were guilty of giving possession away too cheaply in the second half. Having said that, the defence was immense, the midfield well-organised and hard-working and the counter-attacks incisive. One day we are going to get it all correct – the defending, the counter attacking and the game management and we are going to go somewhere, have only 30% possession, and stuff someone 4-0.
How many more opposition goalies are going to walk away withn MOTM awards after playing Wolves, It’s getting sickening now.
Quote from an Arsenal website on their goalie Bernd Leno.
‘Give him the Ballon d’Or’, ‘superb’ – Some fans praise Arsenal star after Wolves game
What a performance and what a team! I know it’s disappointing when you have victory snatched away in the dying embers of the game, but in truth Arsenal were probably good value for a point on the basis of the second half. To come away with a point against a team in such good form is really impressive, and gives us something to build on going into the Huddersfield and Cardiff games.
I agree that we need to be more clinical in front of goal, but I think that will come as the players adapt to the league. The gap between the Premier League and Championship is evidently huge, so it’s natural we aren’t burying as many chances as we were last season. And I would expect Fosun to dig deep for a goalscorer either in January or the summer, given they’ve broken the transfer record in consecutive windows since their arrival.
On a side note, have to point out a few things about the away day experience at the Emirates. The Remembrance Day tributes were immaculate, and really well coordinated. So well done to Arsenal for that.
However, their stewarding of the game was appalling. They continually reprimanded Wolves fan, all while the entitled home supporters goaded us and, consequently, created more aggro. Really poor from a so-called top club, and something which soured the day out somewhat.
That being said, it made the point even sweeter. Up the Wolves!
Rasmin.
To be fair to them, they did chuck a little ball sac Arsenal fan out, to the left of us after the Wolves fans had identified him being a shaky right hander.
🙂
Well! I for one am well pissed off!
Due to my dream last week I was convinced we would win and put a small wedge on that result at odds of four to one.
I was four minutes away from a nice little earner.
It just wasn’t to be.
But, every cloud has a silver lining.
It was a performance of superb grit, determination and skill by a team who looked like a top six club with a top six fan base.
And I don’t mean Arsenal.
Every man gave it everything and must have been absolutely gutted not to have come away with three points.
Oh! Yes. Being a bit of a belt and braces man, I also put a few quid on us getting a draw and ended up £4.50 in profit overall.
What a time to be a Wolves fan!
Doog, might be worth putting that £4.50 on a nice little treble of wolves winning the prem, fa cup & champions league next year.
Lmfao FWAW
Went to the game in the away end 3 Rd one of season sitting on my hands
I predicted a loss they proved me wrong big time, if only we could finish we would be at least 6/7 th in league no problem, but we will learn from this.
Defended brilliantly I must say coady mom Bennett not far behind
Thought centre mids could of done more, front three played well, so proud of boys yesterday, arsenal fans were saying in the pub how good we looked a decent unit all singing from the same hym sheet. Must get at least 6/7 points off the games v bottom 3 clubs in next four though.
Absolutely proud of the team. I watched the game live on hesgoal.com and was entranced by a total team performance, from Jimenez through to Patricio (and our subs). So gutted that they scored so late but I do not blame Rui.
A small consolation was that I had put down a couple of quid on a draw with Paddy Power – and I got the score right on our PL.
Nobody likes a smart arse!
I looked on Hesgoal and couldn’t find the match in their list.
What did I do wrong?
I didn’t see the match listed on hesgoal.com an hour before kick-off but then I tried again just before the start and there it was. It is much the same thing with @WestHamPass9 on Twitter but the links they provide have a mixed success rate.
Hi doog try free sports tv it’s an app on play store don’t know how long it will last though
Needs to be on an android device
Like everyone here I finished the match feeling robbed… and yet I’d say that was one of our poorer second half performances this season
Lots of ifs.. if Traore was a cleverer player… but then he would have cost 60 mil
If MGW had shaved the bar two
Inches lower?
My gooner mate has asked for chance to recover his twenty quid at Molineux.. and I have to give him the draw!
That message says it all.. onwards and upwards
There is a pub in Sedgley up the road from me (not saying which one). Suffice to say it shows every Wolves game home and away on Bein sports channel. The Live feed is a couple of minutes behind real time. Watching yesterday some bloke was punching the air and waving his mobile phone about. We were one nil up. But it was still nil nil on telly. But we knew it was coming. Hugely impressive display by the boys. Shows how far we have come in just 2 years. This is just the start. I wonder where we will be on 12/11/2020? The FOSUN ambition may well have reached a new level by then. Enjoy the ride folks. I will.
Hey, Wolves Fans
I support Arsenal
very impressed by your team
1) You had a lot of clear chances. Leno was amazing for us, and your forwards really mucked it up. It’s interesting that the time they did unselfish passing (even in the build up, not just in the final assist) they scored, and other times they went for glory and missed
2) We (Arsenal) also had some great chances we mucked up. Aubameyang and Bellerin
3) I think this is an interesting game as Arsenal can feel with 72% possession and gilt edged chances missed we should have won. And Wolves can feel that with so many shots on target and so many 1 on 1s Wolves should have won
4) So now draws against Man City and United and Arsenal. That’s quite a resume
Best of luck to you all
Thanks Abhi. Seems a fair enough summary.
Pre-match, no one gave us a snowball’s chance in hell, but we walked away with heads held high and as fans, that’s all we can ask.
Look out top six. We’re comin’ for ya!!!
If he was still alive today, my Grandad would be about 120. He’s not, of course, but even when I was a kid, he was always quite old and wise. He especially knew a thing or two about football and one thing he often said sprang into my mind post-match yesterday.
Twas a simple thing really. Just two words, but I’ll never forget them.
”Lucky Arsenal” he used to say. ”Lucky Arsenal”.
He knew a thing or two about football, did my ole Grandad.
On reflection i feel more happy that this was not a one off (which a lot of teams can have).
This , as we all know is the third time we have held a top six team and the other one we only lost by a cats whisker so lets go for the whole six of them… why not ?
As Nuno preaches … they are only eleven players with football boots on the same as us. We are as organised as they are and you men are as talented as they are. Do not ever think they are a better team than you and never think you are a better team than them.
All you have to do is work our plan better than they work their plan. Never give up , never give in, stick to the plan and most times we will come out on top.
What happened against Watford was almost a carbon copy of what happened against forest last season . It was almost like a wake up call after some of us were starting to believe all the hype from the media.
Yes i am a happy bunny because this is us now not a one off not a fluke which some national papers still believe .
We wont blow up as such a lot of our local enemies are praying for we will i am convinced be up there with the top boys on a regular basis year on year.
And this is just the start so sod off villa , sod off sandwell, because you are light years away now and you aint never catching up in my life time.
TO INFINITY AND BEYOND, WARP FACTOR 7 MR NUNO
Sooo close to getting my correct score, never mind,
In 1979-80 I was at my most positive as a wolves fan , I remember reading in most daily papers that “on their day, wolves can beat anyone, and as a season ticket holder at that time I enjoyed us doing just that, I have to say though, right now I am more confident than ever whilst watching wolves.
Oh how I wish I could have a chat with the arsenal fan I met in Dubai in July who told me twice I’d be delighted to finish fourth bottom!!!
I’m a bit like Nuno ( not that much really though) in not giving a fahookin flying Chinese fart who we are playing, we will play our game and we don’t care who you are !
Utw
Btw , surprised how many fans still give costa and Jota a bit of stick , get a grip guys , these two will get their first perm goals and the floodgates will open mark my words . We are barely a third of the way through the season and it’s already my favourite season ever to be a wolves fan , and we haven’t even got to the fa final yet !
Utmw
Marney, sorry I can on “like” and not “lurveeeee” your post.
Keep up the great work.

I’ve just reread all of the comments on this topic, because as I said to Brompton down at the Arse, if you don’t go on the blog for a day or so, you miss quite a few answers to other posts if you go back to where you left off.
When you look back as I did, the one common word throughout the posts is PROUD.
Proud of the team, proud of Nuno and his backroom team, proud of our owners, proud of the twelfth man, proud to be a WOLF!!
How true Lowves. There’s no doubt that for the first time in many years, we are the proud supporters of one of the best teams in the land. Slowly, slowly, fans of other clubs are beginning to catch on.
And this is just for starters. 🙂
I’m lovin this boys & Girls, must get my hands on a pair of these……

Just when you think you’ve seen it all !!!!
Do they do one to project onto the clouds like Bat man?
This is by no means a criticism, but if we take the lead in future, why not relieve one of the strikers (who aren’t striking) and put MGW or Saiss or Dendonker on to bolster the midfield?
I watched the game and while our defense was immense against the speed and trickery of a rejuvenated Arsenal, the opposition bypassed Joao and Ruby with more ease second half, when they introduced their sub.
I mean, the intro of Traore with Jimi is still enough to scare the bejesus out of any defence I’d have thought?
It’s just a ramble, but I don’t want to see another Watford any time soon and this tactic would still leave us potent from a winning position.
UTW.
Nuno’s philosophy is to play the same way every game, 90+ minutes each game.
If we take the lead or fall behind, we play the same way.
It’s what gives us our charm and identity.
So our old adversary from Fulham has had the push.
Serves him right for spending £100 million on shite !
There was very little wrong with the side he had.
Money cant buy you love
I hope Ranieri doesn’t turn things around.
As long as now they don’t ‘beat all’ the opposition. (Is that a little contrived??)
Quite surprised at the shocking start they have had. Surprised really given that some clown of a commentator off Talk Sport had them down as the ‘best footballing side in the Championship last season.despite finishing 10 points behind the best footballing side in the Championship last season.
Wonder if Craig Shakespeare will go there as “a no 2”
Dilly Dilly
Quite right Cheesey: the media hype of Fulham and Sessegnon was ridiculous. They’ve always been the darlings of reporters, especially those London based.
I see the outgoing chairman of the Premier League, Richard Scudamore , has kindly accepted his £5m golden handshake, ‘In recognition of his outstanding work’.
I know he’s brought a lot of money into the Prem over his twenty years or so of being Head Honcho but he was paid over £2m a year including bonuses.
Isn’t that enough?
If the world is mad enough to pay some players half a million a week, then five million is a drop in the bucket.
Unless you are someone who regularly puts their life on the line to save others, or serve in battle, then no one is worth those kinds of obscene payments.
Except me, for my charm, good looks, debonaireness, and modesty!
Aint it boring with no proper football this weekend?
I think it is disgusting. When cleaners and care workers get fuck all for their equally relevant contribution to society or arguably greater this bloke gets an outrageously disproportionate pay off. I am sickened by it.It’s about time the working class woke up and said we don’t accept this shit anymore. Instead of blaming foreigners.
It would have been a nice gesture if he had accepted it and donated it to a worthwhile cause like the charity for ex footballers who are suffering dementia.
But no chance of that!
Good point doog
Huddersfield, Leicester, Burnley, Crystal Palace and Wolves.
The five teams who refused to cough up 250,000.00 for Scudamore’s golden handshake.
Fuckin’ A!
Great working class clubs mate. This has defused my anger a bit. Still disgusted by it.
I may have got it wrong Clive, but I understand the Prem clubs took a vote on the ‘gift’ and if the majority voted in favour then all clubs had to donate. Seems a bit off to me. If clubs wanna donate then let ’em, but don’t foist it on the whole league. It’s a lot of dosh to Cardiff/Huddersfield and sod all to Citeh, Utd et al.
However it’s not quite on the scale of Jeff Fairburn of Persimmon.
£75,000,000 bonus anyone?
He was quite happy to take it but rather less pleased to be interviewed about it.
“You know what you are, you know what you are…”
You can fill in the rest.
It’s fuckin disgraceful. Never change until you elect individuals in to office who will alter legislation and re define culture. Otherwise the status quo continues and we will be shafted by the rich forever.
Here is how I find a stream. They are tweeted on twitter just before the game.
Does my head in this feckin international break . No footie means shopping with the ayatollah !
I hope our international players don’t come back knackered. Certainly don’t want a repeat of the Watford performance
I agree with Death Burger these obscene bonus’s shouldn’t be allowed certainly not to Scudermore . Will the shite be making a contribution ? being as they had the benefit of all the money he introduced ?
The FA are becoming the new FIFA
Whilst i totally disagree with givememores golden goodbye i wish someone would give me 5 mil to bugger off !
We’ll have a whip round mate.
I know Clive’s worth a buck or two and Stu’s got a hidden stash in his sporran I think.
Not on the same grand gesture scale, but I can afford to put 2 shillings & 6 pence plus a screwed up picture of bobby Charlton
Thanks chaps , any idea what sort of time frame we are talking about to get to the 5 mill because my wife wants a new mink coat for Christmas and then theres my new rolls to order .
Not that im greedy or anything but i would hate to have to dip into my own pocket as i have been saving that up for my retirement .
New rolls??? Are they Ham or Cheese???

It’s reassuring because it says that the style of play we are incorporating is good and that we just need to finish better.
I read though all that crap and thought, “What bollocks, whoever wrote this is a graduate from the School of Stating the Bleedin’ Obvious”
Everyone knows we are playing well but not scoring enough, we don’t need charts and graphs and little trivial pursuit pie diagram things to tell us that.
We all know the “ should, coulda, woulda” chances that have gone begging.
Us fans have witnessed, over the last 18 months, a total revolution at The Mol, we know the goals will come, and we are seeing the most blistering, liquid football ever from our team.
For those of us with 50 or 60 years of supporting our great club, this period has been by far the most exciting, with the promise of much more to come.
And if the article is aimed at fans from other clubs, all the better, they know what is coming for them!!
We have had some opponent’s fans on our blog, and too a person, they have been complimentary about us.
That shows how others perceive us, not some piece of journalistic space filling b.s. from some bloke who has probably never been to The Mol.
And on another rant, let’s ask the question which would be all over the press if it happened to Citeh or Manure, why are we playing Huddersfield on a Sunday and Cardiff on the following Friday?
The answer is coz we are so friggin’ awesome, we have to be shown to the world at every opportunity!!
Bit like Doogle, eh?

I wonder if you can use this for betting.
Are the statistics in any way relevant to that? Will they show you something about the opposition team that someone can use when, say, predicting the score for our prediction league?
Do my eyes deceive me or are Wales playing at the COLIN arena. The floodlights and upper tier stands will be breathing a sigh of relief that the ball woe be bashing in to them every 5 minutes.
I think the word “ playing” is a bit over the top, Cheesybabe.
Trying to play suits them much better!!
Bad news for Wolves tonight, Jonny Castro Otto suffered a medial collateral ligament injury in his right knee while playing for Spain. They say he’s having further tests. With Matt Doherty missing Ireland’s games, potentially a major problem at wing-back #wwfc
🙁 🙁 🙁
No worries
We got Morgan.
And I don’t mean moxey’s dad, either!!
We’ve all seen the warm-up sessions on the pitch before each half of games since Nuno arrived. We all know how few non-contact injuries we’ve had to our players in that period.
Is it coincidence that Jonny has done knee ligaments whilst on international duty?
Hopefully The Doc will be fit for Udders Feeled.
