      It’s true but obvious… none of us knew each other when we first bumped into each other either prematch or a bloggers ball… yet the strange thing is that we all used to frequent the same places… Lafayette, colleges, pubs etc… in fact the DOOGooder lived next door but one to Clive … yet never became friends until this Blog started….
      We/one must meet up… have a loff…

    One point of order though.

    Question 27, the BLASTER BATES one, I was pretty sure that I clicked on the right answer but it says that I picked the wrong one.

    But hey! It’s not the winning it’s the taking part isn’t it.

  10. Saw this and had to steal it.
    Sorry Twixxy Baby, not quiz related but interesting reading.

    Having reflected on the amount of heavy criticism given to Fabio Silva, I took a look at Pedro Neto stats vs Fabio Silva. In Pedro Neto first season at Wolves he played in 29 games (20 as sub) scoring 3 goals. Fabio Silva 32 games (21 as sub) scoring 4 goals. Very similar amount of games for both players first season, very similar goal returns. The next full season for Neto he appears 31 times, 1 sub appearance with 5 goals. Both young players, Silva the younger of the two in only his 2nd season which is barely half way through. The only real difference is Silva was purchased for circa £35 m and Neto part of a package deal for circa combined £20m along with Bruno Jordao who has only recently recovered from injury. I’ve looked at the stats of the two, and it appears that Silva is castigated as the villain by some, mainly because of his £35m fee? While Neto shows promise, anything that Fabio Silva does is always dismissed by the critics at Wolves? Looking at Netos 2 seasons and 60 appearances for a return of 8 goals, 3 in Season 1 and 5 in Season 2, that’s 2 more than his debut season , yet the critics knives are only out for Silva? I’ve discounted goal assists for both players, mainly because I’m playing devil’s advocate, and making the assumption that the front 3 main priority is scoring goals? I’m not defending Fabio Silva, I’m looking at this to try and understand why some fans have dismissed the lad in only his second season, but are overjoyed by a player that’s returned 8 goals in 60 games, 21 as sub. Silva 40 games 29 as sub. I seriously dread to think what would be said, if Fabio Silva had played 30 matches and only scored 5 goals? At age 18/19, the fanfare Silva arrived with wasn’t his own personal doing, nor was the transfer fee or wages agreed. Circa £7m of that £35m went into Gestifute company accounts, about 25% of it went to a Fosun subsidiary. So what now? Do we maintain a witch hunt to hound this lad out, because we aim the blame at someone else or do we try to accept that football and a team with a front 3, equally have a shared responsibility to score goals for the club. I’m personally not pro or anti Fabio Silva or Pedro Neto. I’m purely anti venom and blame game antics that any young lad doesn’t warrant or deserve. To me, supporting a team and being a fan means just that. Players, especially young players need time and encouraging to progress. Onwards and Upwards fwaw ?
