We did a number on Palace in this fixture last season.
Limiting Zaha and co to relatively little and striking the decisive blow when the moment presented itself.
It was one of two narrow away wins early in the season (the other being West Ham) that gave us much needed early impetus.
We need a similarly belligerent showing again on Sunday to get the wheels moving.
Despite getting well and truly tucked in by Spurs last weekend, Palace have got points on the board in a very decent start.
A semi-controversial victory over Villa and an impressive win at Old Trafford followed a good point at home to Everton.
Defeat at Sheffield Utd and that mauling at Spurs provide some discomfort and underline the Eagles as a team capable of any result in any game.
Roy Hodgson brings stability as do experienced heads like Cahill, van Aanholt and Townsend and they’re always competitive.
Scoring goals has been a long term problem and the 3 mustered so far make them the lowest scorers in the Premier League.
The Home End
Some thoughts lifted from the pre-match thread on a Palace forum:
Wolves are one of two teams yet to get their first win this season. We’re probably the perfect game for them, we love ending bad runs for other teams, very charitable of us.Saying that I would expect a reaction after Spurs, I’m going 1-1.
Thought we played well against Villa as we attacked with more purpose than we did for the majority of home matches last season so I am hoping we carry on with that style against Wolves. Think we will nick another 1-0 win
2-1 Palace. They’re coming off the back of a European game 3 days before with a relatively small squad so im expecting them to be fatigued. We’re coming off an embarrassing performance that I can see giving us a bit of a kick up the jacksy. I dont think ive ever seen Roy so angry as i have after the Spurs game. Its definitely a game we can win. Remember. we are still only 1 point off 3rd, and Wolves havent won a game yet.
We have to come out firing on all guns, like Spurs did to us – maybe drink some of that Monster Energy?! I think if we make it a high intensity match then Wolves may tire. They have some very talented players, but most of them are probably inexperienced at juggling Europe and the PL. It was similar with Burnley last year until they got knocked out of Europe.I’m going for 3-2 Palace/
I know the team I’d pick on Sunday.
Back to the tried and tested. We crave that cohesion and immediate understanding in times of difficulty and I’d back that XI to deliver as they have done so many times before.
Traore and Cutrone off the bench if we’re chasing the game.

Well done to Mildenhall Wolf, Prawny, Sea Pigeon, Golden Wonder and Ash K for correctly forecasting doom against Chelsea. Nobody guessed 5-2 surprisingly. Check out the full table after Gameweek 5 here.
