I’m auctioning off this signed Christophe Berra match-worn shirt from the Championship winning 2008/09 season to help raise money for a very worthy cause.
Cherry Trees Special School in Wombourne cater for children from 2 – 11 years old with a range of needs which cannot be met within mainstream education. My nephew attends so I know first hand about the great work they’re doing.
They’re currently trying to raise £7,000 for a new play tower, which is vitally important for improving the children’s physical and mental development.
I’m hoping the kind souls from the Wolves Blog community can chip in with a few shackles by bidding on this shirt, which I myself won at a silent auction so can vouch for it’s authenticity.
It was worn by Christophe Berra at some point during the 2008/09 season although I’m not entirely certain which game.
It’s signed by 17 members of the first team squad. I can’t make out all the signatures but Sylvan Ebanks-Blake and Andy Keogh are two of the clearer ones. Some aficionado will be able to provide greater insight I’m sure.
How to bid
You can simply leave your highest bid in the comment section below or email me directly if you prefer to be more discreet.
The auction runs for 1 week today so will end at midday on Wednesday 3rd April. The highest bid I’ve received at that time will win the shirt.
I will update the comment section regularly with the current highest bid so there’s transparency.
The winner will be expected to make payment directly to the fundraising page before the shirt is despatched:
I’m opening this up to UK and international followers and will cover the cost of postage anywhere globally.
Finally, if you don’t wish to bid but can still support the cause by contributing to the fundraising efforts, it would be massively appreciated.
